  1. 0:04he was the fire starter let's all hate
  2. 0:06these people because maybe hate is what
  3. 0:08we need if we're going to get something
  4. 0:09done Donald Trump was calling basically
  5. 0:11for us to be murdered here we are full
  6. 0:14circle if we look at everything that
  7. 0:16this man has said everything is
  8. 0:19destructive and
  9. 0:21dangerous that was a clip from Central
  10. 0:23Park 5 Yousef Salon speaking out against
  11. 0:25Donald Trump and his history of hate in
  12. 0:271989 Yousef was one of the five teenage
  13. 0:29boys is wrongfully convicted of raping a
  14. 0:31woman in New York's Central Park just
  15. 0:33two weeks after the teens were arrested
  16. 0:34Donald Trump spent $85,000 on a full
  17. 0:37page ad in New York's four daily
  18. 0:39newspapers stating that the teenagers
  19. 0:40should face the death penalty for their
  20. 0:42crimes 13 years later the Central Park 5
  21. 0:44as they were widely known were fully
  22. 0:46exonerated of the crime received a $41
  23. 0:48million settlement from the state of New
  24. 0:49York however Trump refuses to accept the
  25. 0:51Central Park 5's uh exoneration and
  26. 0:54still says they are guilty joining us
  27. 0:57right now is Yousef Salam via FaceTime
  28. 0:59from Atlanta youf uh you did that
  29. 1:02particular um uh move on.org ad and it's
  30. 1:06been interesting to me how frankly
  31. 1:08people with these debates won't even
  32. 1:10bring this issue up yeah yeah you know
  33. 1:13um the thing about it is that you know
  34. 1:15when you look at all of the all of the
  35. 1:17sides that uh people bring into the
  36. 1:19presidential debate um the good and the
  37. 1:20bad you know um for Donald Trump to rush
  38. 1:23the Judgment back then and for the
  39. 1:25overwhelming evidence to be seen clearly
  40. 1:28that we were innocent of the crime that
  41. 1:30they they charged us with um it's just
  42. 1:32it's ridiculous for him to still stand
  43. 1:34on that side you know um but what's more
  44. 1:37important is the fact that when he took
  45. 1:38out those ads that right there was
  46. 1:40almost like a cry to the people in the
  47. 1:42darker enclaves of society to go into
  48. 1:45our homes to drag us from our homes and
  49. 1:48to hang us from trees in Central Park
  50. 1:50rush to judgment take us out of the
  51. 1:52picture we are bad news because we're
  52. 1:54black and really that was what we would
  53. 1:56we that was that was the biggest crime
  54. 1:58the color of our skin
  55. 2:00and uh when Trump was asked about this
  56. 2:03he literally doubled down and said I
  57. 2:05still think they're guilty yes yes you
  58. 2:08know that was that was unfortunate
  59. 2:09because he really you know he has the
  60. 2:11absolute wherewithal to be able to you
  61. 2:13know uh see all of the uh pieces of the
  62. 2:15puzzle put it all together and make some
  63. 2:17proper decisions on it but for him to
  64. 2:18look at all of the pieces of the puzzle
  65. 2:20and say you know what even though all of
  66. 2:22the false confessions that were brought
  67. 2:24about were completely fabricated I'm
  68. 2:26still going to stand on that side and
  69. 2:28say you know what they made uh false
  70. 2:30they made a confession forget the fact
  71. 2:32that the confessions were fin to be
  72. 2:34false and forget the fact that the
  73. 2:35police were doing malicious things in
  74. 2:37order to G Garner these confessions you
  75. 2:40know Deni us of food for up to 30 30 36
  76. 2:44hours you know Deni us of sleep Deni of
  77. 2:46drink you know even with the uh whole
  78. 2:49dynamic of some of our families being
  79. 2:51there many of our families didn't even
  80. 2:53know the law so we were all being taken
  81. 2:55advantage of and the city was being
  82. 2:57taken advantage of as well because they
  83. 2:59were made to believe believe that lie
  84. 3:00for 13 years the worst person I mean the
  85. 3:03worst uh part of it is that the Syra
  86. 3:05Baga herself was made to believe that
  87. 3:08lie for 13 years and still probably
  88. 3:10lives in this kind of fog of a reality
  89. 3:13as to well what really happened and who
  90. 3:15really did this to me one of the things
  91. 3:17that you have called for is for Donald
  92. 3:18Trump to apologize on Central Park 5 uh
  93. 3:21for calling for the death penalty yes
  94. 3:23indeed you know um to to ear is a part
  95. 3:28of us being human
  96. 3:30and you know one of the worst things I
  97. 3:32mean when I look at Donald Trump I mean
  98. 3:33he he walks around with this air of
  99. 3:36affluenza he also walks around with this
  100. 3:38whole idea that he's completely
  101. 3:40infallible and so forth and so on and I
  102. 3:42mean he would have probably never
  103. 3:44apologized to anything had he been able
  104. 3:46to get away with it 100% but those
  105. 3:48videos that came out about him groping
  106. 3:50women and bragging about it and so forth
  107. 3:52and so on you know he had to come out
  108. 3:54and apologize for that but here to still
  109. 3:57stand on this side of wrong I mean over
  110. 3:59whelming evidence is showing that we
  111. 4:01were not the ones who did this crime
  112. 4:04100% not the ones none of the crimes
  113. 4:06that happened in Central Park the
  114. 4:08Central Park 5 had nothing to do with
  115. 4:10any one of them and he still refuses to
  116. 4:13apologize still says that he wants to be
  117. 4:16the Law and Order president still says
  118. 4:18that he wants to bring into the fry
  119. 4:21across the country practices that were
  120. 4:23found to be
  121. 4:24unconstitutional in New York City stop
  122. 4:26and frisk this is this is uh this is
  123. 4:29really really a sad time for us that we
  124. 4:31have two candidates really one is the
  125. 4:34only one that people can vote for
  126. 4:35because this other one is going to send
  127. 4:37us all good home youf Shalom we
  128. 4:40appreciate you joining us on TV1 thanks
  129. 4:41a lot well thank you I appreciate that
  130. 4:43all right Angela real quick yeah I just
  131. 4:45wanted to say I I was thinking back to
  132. 4:46the beginning of our conversation we
  133. 4:48were talking about the the absence of
  134. 4:50policy in the voter in this election and
  135. 4:52I think and and and Dena said that it's
  136. 4:54responsibility of the electorate of the
  137. 4:56public to push candidates to talk about
  138. 4:58the issues and I and I we could have
  139. 4:59argument about that but I think it is
  140. 5:01the Cid's responsibility to show
  141. 5:02leadership right like whether or not
  142. 5:04you're putting out the different
  143. 5:05policies we're voting for someone to be
  144. 5:07the leader of this country and if you're
  145. 5:09a leader if the leader that you're
  146. 5:10supporting is unable to say I was wrong
  147. 5:14is unable to apologize is unable to even
  148. 5:17admit when they didn't have all the
  149. 5:19facts that is a hug that should be a red
  150. 5:22flag and I think that the people who
  151. 5:24don't acknowledge that are just
  152. 5:26strugling in our politics literally 15
  153. 5:28seconds literally agree and I think that
  154. 5:30we can't look at we have to look at both
  155. 5:32candidates in their ability to do that
  156. 5:33I'm talking about Donald Trump as a
  157. 5:35leader I'm not talking about
  158. 5:39Donald Donald Trump Donald Trump is he
  159. 5:41should say that he was wrong and because
  160. 5:43I have 5 Seconds Google Ricky Rector and
  161. 5:46Hillary Clinton's support of him all
