- 0:00In the middle of a burning desert, where
- 0:02golden sand stretched as [music] far as
- 0:04the eye could see,
- 0:05a small date seed was buried under
- 0:08layers of sand.
- 0:10The sun was pouring down intense heat
- 0:12from above, and right on top of that
- 0:15tiny seed, there was a heavy stone
- 0:18pressing it down.
- 0:19Inside that little seed, there was a
- 0:22spark of life. It wanted to grow. It
- 0:25wanted to come out and see the sky.
- 0:28It wanted to feel the wind and grow
- 0:30under the warm sunlight.
- 0:32One day, the seed gathered all its
- 0:35strength
- 0:36>> [music]
- 0:36>> and pushed upward.
- 0:37But, the stone did not move.
- 0:41The seed tried again. It pushed with all
- 0:43its power. Still, the stone did not move
- 0:47[music] even a little.
- 0:49The seed became sad and started to cry.
- 0:52It said,
- 0:53"My fate is so bad. I am trapped under
- 0:57this heavy stone. I will never be able
- 1:00to come out."
- 1:01The desert is usually silent, but that
- 1:04day,
- 1:04>> [music]
- 1:04>> a gentle wind passed through the sand.
- 1:08The wind reached the seed and whispered,
- 1:11"Do not complain. Look downward."
- 1:14The seed [music] was surprised.
- 1:17"Look downward? What could be there?"
- 1:20But after thinking for a while, the seed
- 1:23slowly began to understand.
- 1:25"If the path above is closed, maybe
- 1:28there is a path below."
- 1:30From that day, the seed changed its
- 1:33direction. Instead of pushing upward, it
- 1:36started growing downward.
- 1:38It slowly sent its roots deeper [music]
- 1:40into the sand.
- 1:42Through every layer of dry soil, the
- 1:44roots kept moving deeper and deeper.
- 1:48It was not [music] easy.
- 1:49Sometimes the soil was very hard.
- 1:52Sometimes the dry sand tried to stop the
- 1:55roots.
- 1:56Many times, the seed felt tired and
- 1:58wondered, "Am I trying for nothing?"
- 2:01But every time doubt came, the seed
- 2:04remembered [music] the whisper of the
- 2:05wind.
- 2:06"Do not complain. Look downward."
- 2:10>> [music]
- 2:10>> So, it kept trying.
- 2:12Days passed, then months, then years.
- 2:16From above, it looked like nothing was
- 2:18there.
- 2:19Anyone [music] passing by would only see
- 2:20a lifeless stone lying on the sand.
- 2:24No one knew that under that stone, a
- 2:26small seed [music] was silently working
- 2:28on an extraordinary journey.
- 2:31After many [music] years of effort, its
- 2:33roots finally reached very deep inside
- 2:35the earth, where hidden underground
- 2:38water [music] was flowing.
- 2:40The moment the roots touched that water,
- 2:42something powerful awakened inside
- 2:44[music] the seed.
- 2:46Now, it did not only have hope. Now, it
- 2:48had strength.
- 2:50Once again, the seed began to grow
- 2:52upward.
- 2:53This time, the push was not weak.
- 2:56Its roots had spread deep and wide under
- 2:59the ground.
- 3:00With all its strength, it pushed upward
- 3:03again.
- 3:04The stone was still heavy. It did not
- 3:07move.
- 3:08But this time, [music] the seed noticed
- 3:10something different.
- 3:11At the edges of the stone, [music] there
- 3:13was a tiny space.
- 3:15Very small, but enough to create a path.
- 3:19So, the seed [music] decided to grow
- 3:21through that narrow space.
- 3:23Slowly, patiently,
- 3:26pushing with determination.
- 3:28One day, the seed finally emerged from
- 3:31the [music] side of the stone.
- 3:33But when it came out, it was no longer a
- 3:35weak [music] little sprout.
- 3:37Its stem was strong. Its roots were
- 3:40deep. Inside, it was the strength of
- 3:43many years [music] of struggle.
- 3:46Time passed, and that small plant slowly
- 3:49grew into a tall date palm tree.
- 3:52Its branches reached toward the sky. Its
- 3:55deep [music] roots held the ground
- 3:56tightly.
- 3:58Then one day, a terrible sandstorm hit
- 4:00the desert. The sky filled [music] with
- 4:03dust.
- 4:04The wind blew so hard that small plants
- 4:07and grass were lifted and thrown away
- 4:09like [music] tiny pieces of straw.
- 4:11Many plants were broken.
- 4:13Some were pulled out [music] from their
- 4:15roots.
- 4:16But the date palm tree stood tall and
- 4:19proud.
- 4:20The wind [music] could bend it, but it
- 4:22could not break it.
- 4:24Why?
- 4:25Because its roots were very deep. So
- 4:28deep [music] that even the strongest
- 4:29storm could not shake them.
- 4:32And who forced the seed [music] to grow
- 4:33such deep roots?
- 4:36The same heavy stone.
- 4:38The one the seed [music] once believed
- 4:39was its biggest problem.
- 4:41In life, we often complain about our
- 4:44problems, failures,
- 4:46>> [music]
- 4:46>> struggles, and obstacles.
- 4:48We feel that these things are blocking
- 4:50our path. [clears throat] But the truth
- 4:52is, those very difficulties [music]
- 4:54are helping us grow stronger inside.
- 4:57When the path above is blocked, life is
- 4:59pushing us to grow deeper
- 5:02into patience, wisdom,
- 5:03>> [music]
- 5:03>> and faith.
- 5:05People who do not give up during hard
- 5:07times, but continue [music]
- 5:08strengthening their inner roots, become
- 5:11unshakable.
- 5:13One day, they stand so strong that no
- 5:16storm in the world can bring them down.
- 5:18So the next time [music] a heavy stone
- 5:20appears in your life, do not complain.
- 5:23Because that stone [music] might be the
- 5:25very reason you grow strong enough to
- 5:27face every storm that comes your way.
