  1. 0:00Entrepreneurship is one of the greatest
  2. 0:02vehicles of personal development because
  3. 0:03I because it forces you to confront
  4. 0:05every weakness that you've been
  5. 0:07avoiding.
  6. 0:08The market, your customers, your
  7. 0:10competitors, your competitors won't let
  8. 0:12you hide from yourself.
  9. 0:14And 10 out of 10 times, the person
  10. 0:16limiting the business, limiting your
  11. 0:18growth, is you.
  12. 0:25Real, right?
  13. 0:27Like entrepreneurship, like the reason
  14. 0:29that I'm such a fan of this and why I
  15. 0:30talk about it so much for people who
  16. 0:31are, you know, in the game or not in the
  17. 0:33game is that like
  18. 0:35the amount I've grown as an entrepreneur
  19. 0:36versus when I was not an entrepreneur,
  20. 0:38it pales in comparison because
  21. 0:40people want to protect your feelings.
  22. 0:42Your friends, your family, they don't
  23. 0:43want you to feel bad.
  24. 0:45The market does not care.
  25. 0:47And if you want truth, the market will
  26. 0:49will give you the truth.
  27. 0:51And as long as you can humble yourself
  28. 0:52and listen to the market,
  29. 0:55it will tell you where you suck. If I
  30. 0:56made content that no one's no one liked,
  31. 0:58I would have to change.
  32. 1:00Right? I'd have to change what I was
  33. 1:01doing.
  34. 1:02And if you make products that no one
  35. 1:03wants to buy, you have to change what
  36. 1:04you're doing. If when you get in front
  37. 1:06of somebody and no one wants to buy, you
  38. 1:07have to change what you're saying.
  39. 1:08Period. But if you go and do that in
  40. 1:10front of your mom, she's like, "Great
  41. 1:12job, Timmy. I It was really good. Really
  42. 1:14good. Great job." So it just fluffs you.
  43. 1:17It's not real.
  44. 1:18And so I think that over time what
  45. 1:20happens is people end up optimizing
  46. 1:22towards real, reality, truth.
  47. 1:25And I think entrepreneurship is one of
  48. 1:26the best vehicles for that.
  49. 1:29So, one of the next issues is that like
  50. 1:31most people think the hard part is
  51. 1:34getting started,
  52. 1:35but the hard part is continuing to do
  53. 1:38the work when the excitement wears off
  54. 1:40and the grind, the repetitions, the
  55. 1:43volume without variety, feels hopeless.
  56. 1:48Your inability to work without reward
  57. 1:50for an extended period of time will hurt
  58. 1:52your potential far more than your lack
  59. 1:54of talent. Real.
  60. 1:57Because the most dangerous person in the
  61. 1:58world is the one who continues to show
  62. 2:00up every day even when the rewards are
  63. 2:03not guaranteed.
  64. 2:05Your potential is determined by the
  65. 2:06amount of uncertainty that you're able
  66. 2:08to tolerate and how long you can
  67. 2:10tolerate it for.
  68. 2:13This is what people miss.
  69. 2:15Like if you want to be dangerous
  70. 2:18in any domain,
  71. 2:20your potential is determined by how much
  72. 2:23uncertainty that you can tolerate. How
  73. 2:25much can you deal with? How much can you
  74. 2:26take? And how long you can take it for.
  75. 2:29So, Sam Altman said this from OpenAI. He
  76. 2:32said, "I still think one of the last
  77. 2:33alphas that exist in terms of a superior
  78. 2:36return on effort is long-term thinking."
  79. 2:39He said because so few people are
  80. 2:40willing to do it.
  81. 2:43Actually think in terms of
  82. 2:451 year,
  83. 2:465 years, 10 years. Most people can't.
  84. 2:49And I get that you can't have a vision
  85. 2:52if you have bills to pay. If rent is
  86. 2:55due, I understand that.
  87. 2:57And so, this is why I'm such an advocate
  88. 2:59of like
  89. 3:00get yourself out of the hole as fast as
  90. 3:02humanly possible.
  91. 3:04Like do whatever you got to do to get
  92. 3:06your oxygen mask on. Work three jobs,
  93. 3:09right? Do your main thing, get your side
  94. 3:11thing going, right? Do whatever it takes
  95. 3:13so that you can get above that. Just get
  96. 3:15your head above water. At that point,
  97. 3:18options open up. If you like this video
  98. 3:20and you're a business owner who wants to
  99. 3:21break through your current revenue
  100. 3:22ceiling, I distilled every lesson from
  101. 3:24scaling 10 businesses past 10 million
  102. 3:26and three businesses past 100 million
  103. 3:27into a completely free scaling roadmap
  104. 3:29that I've used to go from zero to one,
  105. 3:31zero to 10, and zero to 100 plus. And
  106. 3:33so, you can click here and you can check
  107. 3:34it out. Again, absolutely free. And
  108. 3:36since you're a business owner, I
  109. 3:37appreciate you and enjoy.
