- 0:02Now, I I
- 0:03Let me make this Let me also add
- 0:07the pre-
- 0:08Because I try In addition to being a
- 0:10fair guy, I try to be fair.
- 0:12The president is not only interested in
- 0:14home decorations.
- 0:16He is very much focused on enriching
- 0:18himself and his family and his cronies.
- 0:22We have never seen
- 0:24a president so intent
- 0:27on selling favors like this.
- 0:30We have lost count
- 0:31of all the deals he and his family have
- 0:34done. Mean coins.
- 0:36Taxpayer-funded contracts for his
- 0:38his kids' companies.
- 0:41The guy has has made
- 0:44billions of dollars while in office. I
- 0:48Understand this has not been done
- 0:51in modern times.
- 0:54And not a single Republican in in
- 0:56Congress
- 0:58has done anything
- 1:00to hold him to account.
- 1:03Has not uttered a peep.
- 1:05Has not said a word
- 1:07to say that is not right.
- 1:09>> [cheering]
- 1:09>> That is not why we are in office.
- 1:12You cannot trade
- 1:15the office of the presidency and policy
- 1:18that affects Americans
- 1:20to make yourself money. That's not what
- 1:22we do. That's what dictators in other
- 1:25countries do.
- 1:27But that's not what we do.
- 1:30When I was president, we would scold
- 1:33other countries when they operated like
- 1:36that.
- 1:37And explain that not only is that not
- 1:40good for your people, it's not even good
- 1:41for business if you have levels of
- 1:44corruption and pay-to-play like that.
- 1:46That's not how we're supposed to do
- 1:49things.
- 1:51And nobody Not a Not a single Republican
- 1:54has said something about it. Certainly
- 1:55not Mike Collins.
- 1:58Not any of the Republicans on the ballot
- 2:00here in Georgia have said, "You know
- 2:01what? That's
- 2:02that's not right."
- 2:04Most of them supported him every step of
- 2:07the way.
- 2:08So, you remember that drain the swamp?
- 2:11The only thing they drained is the
- 2:12reflecting pool in the national mall.
- 2:15And that was because of some no-bid
- 2:17contract that got all screwed up.
- 2:22I I
- 2:23You know,
- 2:25I am old enough to remember when a
- 2:27president wearing a tan suit was a major
- 2:30national controversy.
- 2:31>> [cheering]
- 2:38>> They were very upset.
- 2:41>> [cheering]
- 2:41>> And I know I look good in that suit.
- 2:44I know that's right.
- 2:46I know.
- 2:50It was tight.
- 2:58>> [cheering]
- 2:59>> Oh, I don't know. I don't know.
- 3:03>> [screaming]
- 3:04>> All right.
- 3:06I don't know. I don't know.
- 3:08I'm I'm You know, but I did.
- 3:11Now,
- 3:15Here Here's Here's the difficult
- 3:18reality.
- 3:20We got 2 more years of this
- 3:22administration. That's how our system of
- 3:24government works.
- 3:26We're stuck with that.
- 3:28But you know what we're not stuck with?
- 3:31A spineless Congress
- 3:34and a bunch of Republican governors who
- 3:36are willing to enable all of the
- 3:38corruption and incompetence and
- 3:40indifference to working people.
- 3:43>> [cheering]
- 3:43>> We're not stuck with enabling
- 3:47more policies that take money out of
- 3:49your pocket
- 3:51and cut your health care
- 3:53and drive up inflation. We're not stuck
- 3:55with that.
- 3:57This election is our last best chance
- 4:01at at least reigning him in.
- 4:05Reigning in some of the foolishness of
- 4:07this administration.
- 4:09It's the circuit breaker in the system
- 4:12and we need to flip it.
- 4:14We need to start bringing some
- 4:16accountability to this administration
- 4:19and just as important we need to start
- 4:21showing the American people
- 4:24who are hungry
- 4:26for real solutions
- 4:29what real leadership looks like. What
- 4:32concrete plans look like to actually
- 4:34lower costs and make healthier more
- 4:37affordable and housing more affordable
- 4:39and get utility bills under control.
- 4:42We can't just be against
- 4:44this administration's behavior. We can't
- 4:47just say what we're against. We've got
- 4:49to start showing them what a future on
- 4:51the other side of this administration
- 4:54can look like and it starts with you.
- 4:57It starts with electing Keisha Lance
- 4:59Bottoms governor.
- 5:01It starts with sending Jon Ossoff back
- 5:04to the United States Senate.
- 5:07>> [cheering]
- 5:15>> I I I I almost and I and I do say
- 5:19almost.
- 5:20I almost feel
- 5:22bad for the Republican opponents.
- 5:25Almost.
- 5:27And and and you're and here's why.
- 5:29Because after spending the last couple
- 5:32years
- 5:33signing singing this president's
- 5:35praises.
- 5:37Doing anything he asked.
- 5:40Saying how he he might be the best
- 5:42president ever.
- 5:44Now now
- 5:45now they're realizing that everybody's
- 5:48pretty upset
- 5:50about his broken promises. So so what do
- 5:53they do?
- 5:54Well, they're they're they're doing what
- 5:57they always do.
- 5:58Which is running all kinds of scary ads
- 6:01to make you think Democrats are radical
- 6:03and communists and that the woke police
- 6:06are going to ban hamburgers and make
- 6:08everybody eat tofu and
- 6:12And the Republicans even have a tag
- 6:14lines I guess from for this midterms.
- 6:18I don't know if you've heard it. They're
- 6:19saying
- 6:21Democrats they're for crazy. We're for
- 6:23common sense. Now, let's let's think
- 6:25about this.
- 6:27Let's talk about how they define crazy
- 6:29and common sense.
- 6:31Let's have a discussion about that
- 6:33because
- 6:34I don't think it's a common sense to
- 6:35pass a trillion dollar tax cut for
- 6:37millionaires and billionaires paid for
- 6:39with higher health care costs and
- 6:41kicking people out to Medicaid.
- 6:43I don't think it's common sense to
- 6:45launch a war in Iran that everybody
- 6:48told them was going to drive up
- 6:50inflation. That's not the kind of common
- 6:53sense Georgia needs.
- 6:55And and if you want to talk about crazy,
- 6:58let's let's take a look at what Mike
- 7:00Collins has been up to.
- 7:03Not only did this guy
- 7:05vote with Donald Trump 100% of time on
- 7:07Iran, on tariffs, on everything else.
- 7:10He also happens to be under federal
- 7:12investigation by the House Ethics
- 7:14Committee.
- 7:16And that's for reasons that are entirely
- 7:18separate
- 7:19from what has been called his summer of
- 7:21scandal after it came to light how cozy
- 7:24he was with white nationalists.
- 7:30That's crazy.
- 7:33And there's only one common sense choice
- 7:35in this race.
- 7:37And that is Jon Ossoff.
- 7:39>> [cheering]
- 7:45>> And it's not just because he's so put
- 7:47together.
- 7:49It's not cuz it looks like a Kennedy all
- 7:52handsome in the videos.
- 7:54>> [cheering]
- 7:56>> It's because he learned from his mentor.
- 8:00And my mentor,
- 8:02one of the greats, John Lewis.
- 8:05>> [cheering]
- 8:06>> What it means to stir up some good
- 8:09trouble.
- 8:11That's what he's been doing on your
- 8:12behalf. He exposed the abuse of
- 8:15Georgia's foster kids.
- 8:17Passed a law forcing tech companies to
- 8:19crack down on child predators. Took on
- 8:22the drug companies. Capped the price of
- 8:24insulin for seniors.
- 8:27And when you send him back to the
- 8:28Senate, he's going to fight to ban
- 8:30health insurance companies from denying
- 8:31coverage that patients need. And he's
- 8:34going to repeal the tariffs
- 8:36that have sent prices of groceries
- 8:38soaring.
- 8:40He knows we He knows we never should
- 8:43have started this unnecessary war in
- 8:45Iraq. And he will fight to end it.
- 8:48And he is going to fight
- 8:51for stronger voting rights protections
- 8:53to make sure that every single citizen
- 8:56has a vote and every vote is counted
- 8:59here in Georgia and across the United
- 9:02States of America.
- 9:03>> [cheering]
- 9:11>> And Jon will fight
- 9:13for you
- 9:14and Keisha Lance Bottoms will fight for
- 9:17you.
