1. 0:02So, I would talk about the higher life.
2. 0:04We're talking about a life of absolute
3. 0:05mastery.
4. 0:07>> [cheering]
5. 0:07>> You are a citizen of heaven.
6. 0:09You must reign in life. You must rule
7. 0:12your world, and you must rule the world.
8. 0:13The higher life is a life of absolute
9. 0:16sufficiency. Whatever I need to have, I
10. 0:18have. [music]
11. 0:19Whatever I need to be, I am. Absolute
12. 0:22sufficiency.
13. 0:23The higher life is a life of absolute
14. 0:26[music] fulfillment.
15. 0:28Expressing divinity.
16. 0:30My path is different.
17. 0:32>> [music]
18. 0:32>> My way is different.
19. 0:34I have different outcomes. Welcome to
20. 0:36the higher life. [music]

23. 0:55>> So, what is the thing of [music] real
24. 0:57value? What should your pursuit be in
25. 0:58life?
26. 0:59What are the things you go after? What
27. 1:01should mean something to you? You can't
28. 1:03be stagnant mentally or stagnant
29. 1:06spiritually.
30. 1:07You have to be bubbling over with
31. 1:09inspiration of the word of God. This is
32. 1:12reality for a Christian, for a child of
33. 1:14God, one that has the spirit of God. You
34. 1:16can do your work in such a way that
35. 1:18there is no error and there's no fault.
36. 1:21No error, no fault
37. 1:22in my work. I have an excellent spirit.
38. 1:25No error, no fault in my work, no
39. 1:28mistake.
40. 1:32So, I want to say that we should try and
41. 1:34finish what we started the upper Sunday.
42. 1:35We're talking about walking in
43. 1:37excellence, a new you.
44. 1:40What is God's vision for us to be
45. 1:43transformed?
46. 1:45There's expected to be a new glory.
47. 1:47There's expected to be a new brilliance
48. 1:50in your life because the nature of the
49. 1:52new creation, the nature of the one that
50. 1:54is born again, is to continually
51. 1:57increase in glory. Did you know that?
52. 1:59The nature of the one that is born
53. 2:01again, you know, human nature is like it
54. 2:03goes up and then with age the person
55. 2:06starts coming down in stature, in
56. 2:09everything. As they as they grow up
57. 2:10there is a tendency to, you know, to
58. 2:12diminish. But for the one that is born
59. 2:14again, the tendency is from glory to
60. 2:17glory.
61. 2:19That is the nature. Our nature is such
62. 2:21that we increase in glory. We increase
63. 2:24in brilliance. We increase in radiance.
64. 2:27Romans chapter 12 and verse two.
65. 2:31Romans chapter 12 and verse two says,
66. 2:34"And be not conformed to this world, but
67. 2:37be you transformed."
68. 2:39Transformed. The word transformed there
69. 2:41is the word metamorpho, meaning to be
70. 2:44transfigured, to be changed.
71. 2:47So, you you can't be the same person
72. 2:50from even day-to-day, not talk about
73. 2:52week-to-week or month-to-month or even
74. 2:54year-to-year. There's be a
75. 2:56transformation as marked as the
76. 2:58transformation
77. 3:00of the butterfly
78. 3:02that starts like an egg and then becomes
79. 3:04the larva, then becomes the pupa, then
80. 3:06becomes the butterfly. That such drastic
81. 3:09changes are supposed to happen in your
82. 3:11life, in your character, in your walk.
83. 3:14Of course, the butterfly has an end
84. 3:16point, but we have no end point.
85. 3:18You see, it's ever-increasing glory.
86. 3:21So, that is your nature as a child of
87. 3:24God.
88. 3:26And there are things you do that make it
89. 3:28happen. For example, you are seeing one
90. 3:30right here
91. 3:31that will make it happen.
92. 3:33It says, "Be not conformed to this
93. 3:35world, but be transformed by the
94. 3:37renewing of your mind." So, it tells you
95. 3:39what to do to have a transformation.
96. 3:44When you want to make a change in your
97. 3:45life from one level to another, you get
98. 3:48to
99. 3:48your mind, the content of your mind, the
100. 3:50arrangement of the content of your mind.
101. 3:54Praise the Lord. Yeah, because your mind
102. 3:55has to be rich and full of the word of
103. 3:57God and then it has to be arranged
104. 3:59rightly. It has to be processed rightly.
105. 4:03So, anytime you want to see a change
106. 4:07get to the word
107. 4:09and see what can be that renewing of
108. 4:12your mind in that season.
109. 4:14Remember, we are not talking about human
110. 4:16excellence, mere human excellence
111. 4:18because we read in Psalm 119:96 in the
112. 4:21amplified that everything human has its
113. 4:24limits. No matter how excellent it is,
114. 4:26it has its limits. It says, "But the
115. 4:28word of God is exceeding broad and it
116. 4:31extends without limit into eternity."
117. 4:33So, we're talking about excellence of
118. 4:35the God kind.
119. 4:37And we also saw in Psalm 16:3 that we
120. 4:40are the excellent, the true excellent,
121. 4:43the true noble.
122. 4:45The true glorious ones are the saints of
123. 4:47God. Hallelujah.
124. 4:49So, let no one tell you that you're not
125. 4:51excellent. No, you say, "I am the
126. 4:53excellent." Psalm 16:3 says, "The
127. 4:55excellent, the noble and the glorious
128. 4:57are the saints in the land. So, I am
129. 4:59excellent. My nature is excellent."
130. 5:04We're stars. Hallelujah.
131. 5:06Can we quickly go to Philippians chapter
132. 5:081 from verse 9? Now, read that from the
133. 5:10amplified because we began to build on
134. 5:13that
135. 5:14in our understanding
136. 5:16of walking in excellence, a new you. It
137. 5:20says, "And this I pray that your love
138. 5:22may abound." I'm reading from the
139. 5:23amplified. "That your love may abound
140. 5:25yet more and more and extend to its
141. 5:28fullest development in knowledge."
142. 5:30Knowledge is important.
143. 5:32"And in all keen insight
144. 5:34that your love may display itself in
145. 5:36greater depth of acquaintance and more
146. 5:39comprehensive discernment so that you
147. 5:41may surely learn to sense what is
148. 5:44vital."
149. 5:46As the word of God increases in
150. 5:47influence in your life and increases in
151. 5:50productivity, you will notice you are
152. 5:52more loving.
153. 5:53You will notice you are more perceptive
154. 5:55spiritually.
155. 5:56And you will notice that you begin to
156. 5:59value what is really important.
157. 6:02Those are the things that will get your
158. 6:03attention. Your attention will not be on
159. 6:05things that are not vital. Your
160. 6:07attention will be on things that are
161. 6:10important. It says, "You will learn to
162. 6:12sense what is vital and approve
163. 6:15>> approve
164. 6:17>> and prize what is excellent and of real
165. 6:19value."
166. 6:22It's not what others say
167. 6:24is of value that is really of value.
168. 6:26Value is determined by God.
169. 6:29So, what is the thing of real value?
170. 6:31What should your pursuit be in life?
171. 6:33What are the things you go after? What
172. 6:35should mean something to you? It says,
173. 6:37"As you grow in knowledge,
174. 6:39something's going to happen to you. You
175. 6:41will learn to sense what is vital.
176. 6:43What is the most important thing?
177. 6:45What are the things you should give your
178. 6:47attention to? What are the things you
179. 6:49should commit your time to? What are the
180. 6:50things you should put your money into?
181. 6:52What are the things that should
182. 6:54get your attention?
183. 6:57So, we also saw that that word approve
184. 6:59is the word that tells us that we have
185. 7:02the power to allow.
186. 7:05We scrutinize things that come into our
187. 7:08aeon.
188. 7:09And we have the power to allow or
189. 7:11disallow what is not excellent. And so,
190. 7:14we began to look at what are the things
191. 7:16we should approve. What are the
192. 7:18excellent things I should endorse? What
193. 7:20are those excellent things I should
194. 7:21allow?
195. 7:23We started by talking about excellent
196. 7:25thoughts.
197. 7:26Excellent thoughts. Let me read
198. 7:28Ephesians chapter 4 and verse 23 to you.
199. 7:35Let me take it from the amplified. It
200. 7:37says, "And be constantly
201. 7:40renewed in the spirit of your mind,
202. 7:43having a fresh mental and spiritual
203. 7:47attitude.
204. 7:49He says, be constantly Don't don't stay
205. 7:51at one point. Don't stay at one level.
206. 7:53Don't remain at a particular level. The
207. 7:55word of God is fresh. Do you know
208. 7:56there's so much in God's word?
209. 7:58So much in the word of God.
210. 8:01I did something for myself several years
211. 8:03ago, I think maybe
212. 8:05it'll be up to maybe 10 or 12 years.
213. 8:08So I started a diary. So as I read my
214. 8:10Bible every year, I follow the Rhapsody
215. 8:12of One Year Reading Plan.
216. 8:14So as I read the Bible every year, I
217. 8:16make notes
218. 8:18on the scriptures as I'm reading them.
219. 8:19So I'm reading Genesis chapter one, I
220. 8:22have my notes. So the next year I come
221. 8:24back to that same note and I update.
222. 8:28Do you understand what I'm saying? So
223. 8:29I've been updating
224. 8:31I've been updating my notes
225. 8:33for I think it'll be more than 12 years
226. 8:35now, the same document. Every time Every
227. 8:38There's no year I said every I've I've
228. 8:41finished.
229. 8:42I noticed something I never noticed
230. 8:44before.
231. 8:45So just to let you know that
232. 8:48the word of God is infinite.
233. 8:51You can't say I've read this scripture,
234. 8:52there's nothing more to learn, there's
235. 8:53nothing more to renew my mind. There is
236. 8:55always something to refresh you. He
237. 8:57says, be constantly renewed
238. 9:01in the spirit of your mind.
239. 9:03Having a fresh mental and spiritual
240. 9:07attitude.
241. 9:09So you should have a fresh You can't be
242. 9:11stagnant mentally or stagnant
243. 9:14spiritually.
244. 9:15You have to be bubbling over with
245. 9:17inspiration of the word of God.
246. 9:20Can you see it? So we said we'll approve
247. 9:23excellent thoughts. We'll always have a
248. 9:24fresh mental and spiritual attitude.
249. 9:27No, I'm not going to be the same person
250. 9:29you knew even last week.
251. 9:31So I'm I'm fresh. I'm updated.
252. 9:34Hallelujah. I'm updated. So you must
253. 9:36always be updated by the word. Think
254. 9:38excellent thoughts. Then we talked about
255. 9:39excellent words. I want you to look at
256. 9:41James chapter 3 and verse 2.
257. 9:46James chapter 3 and verse 2.
258. 9:48Let me just take it from the amplified.
259. 9:50It says, "For we all often stumble and
260. 9:53fall and offend in many things.
261. 9:56And if anyone does not offend in speech,
262. 9:59never says the wrong things, he is a
263. 10:01fully developed character and a perfect
264. 10:04man,
265. 10:05able to control his whole body and to
266. 10:08curb his entire nature." That means
267. 10:11excellence in words
268. 10:13is possible to be excellent in words.
269. 10:16And if you are excellent in words, the
270. 10:17Bible says you are a fully developed
271. 10:19character, a perfect man, able to
272. 10:22control your body.
273. 10:23Why? Because you control your body, you
274. 10:26control your nature, you control your
275. 10:28world with words.
276. 10:30Glory to God. So, we approve excellent
277. 10:33words. And then we saw we approve the
278. 10:36most excellent way, the way of love.
279. 10:39How many of you have been noticing that
280. 10:41you are more loving?
281. 10:43Yeah, it's a consciousness because
282. 10:45really it's your nature.
283. 10:46So, it's up to you. Bible says, "Put on
284. 10:50the new man." That means wear your
285. 10:52nature, the nature you have on the
286. 10:53inside, wear it on the outside.
287. 10:57So, let's look at Ephesians chapter 5
288. 10:59and verse 1.
289. 11:01Again, I'll take it from the amplified.
290. 11:04It says, "Therefore, be imitators of
291. 11:06God.
292. 11:08Copy him and follow his example as
293. 11:12well-beloved children
294. 11:14imitate their father.
295. 11:16God has loved you so much. He says,
296. 11:18"Copy him.
297. 11:20And walk in love."
298. 11:22So, because you are the object of God's
299. 11:25love, you are the one that God has
300. 11:27showered with mercy and love, he says,
301. 11:29"You also to in love."
302. 11:31To walk in love is an instruction. That
303. 11:34is the most excellent way. And I like
304. 11:36the way he puts it here. He says, "And
305. 11:37walk in love, esteeming and delighting
306. 11:40in one another
307. 11:42as Christ loved us and gave himself up
308. 11:45for us, a slain offering and sacrifice
309. 11:49to God for you, so that it became a
310. 11:51sweet fragrance." Do you know that love
311. 11:53has a smell?
312. 11:55Love has a smell.
313. 11:57Praise the Lord. It has a smell. It is
314. 11:59an attractive smell.
315. 12:02It's a smell that
316. 12:04brings pleasure to the heart of the
317. 12:06Lord.
318. 12:08Love has a smell. And so, when you're
319. 12:09walking in love, you're you're like
320. 12:11somebody that is perfumed.
321. 12:13You see? You're like someone that is
322. 12:15perfumed because love has a smell.
323. 12:18Sometimes I tell people, "Maybe you're
324. 12:20trying to get something done." I said,
325. 12:22um "You may be working on your faith,
326. 12:23but you may need to work on your love."
327. 12:26You see? You may need to Maybe the issue
328. 12:28is not about your faith, whether you are
329. 12:30saying it right, but about the attitude
330. 12:33of your heart towards others. It says,
331. 12:34"Esteeming and delighting
332. 12:36in one another."
333. 12:39Including your children, including your
334. 12:41spouse.
335. 12:42Praise the Lord. Love has to get home as
336. 12:44well. It's not only for those in the
337. 12:46office or those in church. Love has to
338. 12:48show up at home.
339. 12:50Esteeming and delighting one another.
340. 12:52And then we were about to get into
341. 12:54excellent works.
342. 12:56So, we said we approve
343. 12:58excellent thoughts. We approve excellent
344. 13:00works. We approve the excellent way. And
345. 13:02we also approve excellent works.
346. 13:06Go to Daniel chapter 5.
347. 13:11From verse
348. 13:1311.
349. 13:16There is a man in thy kingdom in whom is
350. 13:19the spirit of the holy gods.
351. 13:21And in the days of thy father, light and
352. 13:24understanding and wisdom like the wisdom
353. 13:27of the gods
354. 13:30was found in him.
355. 13:32Whom the King Nebuchadnezzar thy father,
356. 13:35the king I say thy father, made master
357. 13:37of the magicians, astrologers,
358. 13:39Chaldeans, and soothsayers. For as much
359. 13:42as an excellent spirit
360. 13:45and knowledge and understanding,
361. 13:48interpreting of dreams and showing of
362. 13:50hard sentences and dissolving of doubts
363. 13:53were found in the same Daniel,
364. 13:55whom the king named Belteshazzar. Now,
365. 13:58let Daniel be called and he will show
366. 14:00the interpretation.
367. 14:02There's a complex situation. There's
368. 14:04something that they didn't understand.
369. 14:07And the queen mother said, "In the days
370. 14:09of your father, there was a man that had
371. 14:11the spirit of God in him. He was able to
372. 14:14dissolve doubts. He was able to unravel
373. 14:16hard things."
374. 14:19Guess what? That spirit that was
375. 14:21recognized in Daniel is the spirit that
376. 14:25gave birth to you in Christ Jesus.
377. 14:28That excellent spirit, the spirit of
378. 14:30God,
379. 14:32is the same spirit that lives in you
380. 14:35today.
381. 14:36That means you are a solution.
382. 14:38That means you are the answer.
383. 14:40Glory to God. That means anybody around
384. 14:43you doesn't need to look far to know
385. 14:45what to do. You are there.
386. 14:47One of the things Pastor told us this
387. 14:48year at the beginning of the year in a
388. 14:49prophetic word, he said, "You will come
389. 14:51as a solution. When you arrive, it'll be
390. 14:53like an angel showed up."
391. 14:55>> [music]
392. 14:56>> When you come, it will be with answers.
393. 14:59But you know you have to acknowledge
394. 15:00[music] and recognize that that spirit
395. 15:02is in you.
396. 15:04The spirit that knows all things, that
397. 15:06has all the answers.

486. 18:54>> Verse 13, then was Daniel brought in
487. 18:56before the king, and the king spoke and
488. 18:57said unto Daniel, "Art thou that Daniel
489. 19:01which out of the children of the
490. 19:02captivity of Judah, whom the king my
491. 19:04father brought out of Jewry? I have even
492. 19:06heard of thee that the spirit of the
493. 19:08gods is in thee, and that light and
494. 19:10understanding and excellent wisdom
495. 19:14is found in thee.
496. 19:16Excellent wisdom.
497. 19:18The wisdom of God. Remember I said we're
498. 19:20not talking about human level
499. 19:23excellence. We're talking about divine
500. 19:25excellence. There's something called
501. 19:27excellent wisdom. Wisdom that gives
502. 19:29life. Wisdom that delivers. Glory to
503. 19:32God.
504. 19:33Then look at Daniel chapter 6 from verse
505. 19:351.
506. 19:39It says it pleased Darius to set over
507. 19:41the kingdom 120 princes, which should be
508. 19:45over the whole kingdom.
509. 19:46And over these three presidents, of whom
510. 19:49Daniel was first.
511. 19:51That the princes might give account onto
512. 19:53them and the king should have no damage.
513. 19:58You know what that means? The king
514. 19:59should not suffer any loss.
515. 20:02Daniel was brought in. I mean, there was
516. 20:03an administrative structure, 120
517. 20:06princes, and then the king says, "If I
518. 20:08know I don't want to have any loss, I've
519. 20:10got to put Daniel in charge."
520. 20:13It's a promotional excellence
521. 20:16that puts you ahead of others.
522. 20:18Even when there were three presidents,
523. 20:20Daniel was still the first, the
524. 20:21principal one.
525. 20:24Excellence. But let me let me show Let's
526. 20:27go on and see why.
527. 20:28It says, "THEN THIS DANIEL WAS PREFERRED
528. 20:31ABOVE the presidents and princes because
529. 20:35an excellent spirit was in him. And the
530. 20:39king thought to set HIM OVER THE WHOLE
531. 20:41REALM."
532. 20:43HE WAS PREFERRED. SAY, "I'm preferred."
533. 20:47He was preferred because an excellent
534. 20:49spirit
535. 20:50was found in him. Verse 4, it says,
536. 20:52"Then the presidents and the princes
537. 20:54sought to find occasion against Daniel
538. 20:56concerning the kingdom, but they could
539. 20:59find no occasion or fault, for as much
540. 21:02as he was faithful. Neither was there
541. 21:05any error or fault
542. 21:08found in him. This is a human being.
543. 21:11They said there was no error or fault.
544. 21:15In fact, if you read on, they said the
545. 21:18only way they can find an error in
546. 21:19Daniel is
547. 21:21concerning his faith. That's the only
548. 21:23way they could get something to hold on
549. 21:25to.
550. 21:25In his work, he was excellent. No error.
551. 21:29No fault.
552. 21:33We're talking about excellent works.
553. 21:36When you do something and there is no
554. 21:38error,
555. 21:39there is no fault. You see, if you don't
556. 21:41see it, the first thing is to see it.
557. 21:43This is reality for a Christian, for a
558. 21:46child of God, one that has the spirit of
559. 21:48God. You can do your work in such a way
560. 21:50that there is no error and there's no
561. 21:51fault.
562. 21:53Let me read that to you from the New
563. 21:55International Version.
564. 21:56It says, "At this,
565. 21:58the administrators and the satraps tried
566. 22:00to find grounds for charges against
567. 22:03Daniel in his conduct of government
568. 22:05affairs, but they were unable to do so."
569. 22:09Just for you to know that it was about
570. 22:11his work. In the work of government,
571. 22:13they could not find a single fault.
572. 22:17Maybe you are a tailor. You are sewing
573. 22:19for somebody. Why should there be error?
574. 22:23By yourself, you measure the person. You
575. 22:25took the height, you took everything. By
576. 22:26the time the dress comes,
577. 22:30have you heard of what I ordered, what I
578. 22:31got?
579. 22:33No. No error or fault.
580. 22:37You have to understand who you are.
581. 22:40That when something is coming out of
582. 22:41you, it's coming out of the
583. 22:42righteousness of God.
584. 22:44It's a statement of your personality.
585. 22:48It says, "They could find no corruption
586. 22:50in him because he was trustworthy and
587. 22:52neither corrupt nor negligent."
588. 22:55Oh, I didn't know it was my stuff.
589. 22:58It was so-and-so person that did it. I I
590. 23:00know when it happened. Why would you not
591. 23:01know when it happened?
592. 23:05No error, no fault in my work. No error,
593. 23:09no fault in my work. I have an excellent
594. 23:12spirit. No error, no fault in my work.
595. 23:15No mistake, no negligence. It is
596. 23:18perfect. So far as it's coming from me,
597. 23:20IT IS PERFECT. THE DOCUMENT WILL BE
