You Can Now Create Modular 3D Character Without Blender — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:00AI constantly gets better
- 0:02in 3D, but still
- 0:03to get my characters
- 0:04ready, I always end
- 0:06up in Blender, assembling
- 0:07parts together and processing
- 0:09by hand, but it
- 0:10starts to feel that
- 0:11it is about to change.
- 0:13Since GPT -6 Astrid
- 0:15released that showed crazy
- 0:17understanding of 3D spaces,
- 0:19so today I'm gonna
- 0:20show you how you
- 0:21can create modular 3D
- 0:23character only with AI
- 0:24without even going to Blender.
- 0:26And I'm also gonna
- 0:27put these characters внутри
- 0:28my game to see
- 0:29if it actually works.
- 0:30Alright guys, I know
- 0:31some of you were
- 0:33actually waiting a lot
- 0:34for this moment when
- 0:35we finally can drop
- 0:37Blender from the pipeline.
- 0:38So today we're gonna
- 0:39look into Part Composer
- 0:40by Asshithub.
- 0:42You might know these guys.
- 0:43These guys are actually
- 0:44first to introduce Part
- 0:46Decomposer, and now they
- 0:48are first to do
- 0:48Part Composer.
- 0:49And actually, they are
- 0:50not first to try
- 0:51to make it happen.
- 0:52I saw a lot
- 0:53of approaches and I
- 0:55tried even myself to
- 0:57ask ChatGPT to assemble
- 0:59the character generate in
- 1:00parts because that's the
- 1:02process that you repeat
- 1:03a lot.
- 1:04But before GPT -6
- 1:05Astra, neither AI model
- 1:07can handle that task.
- 1:09And while raw GPT
- 1:10-6 or Opus 5
- 1:11.5 can put some
- 1:13stuff together, I actually
- 1:14made a test about it.
- 1:15It's not even close,
- 1:17but this guy actually
- 1:18created a workflow that
- 1:19includes several AI's and
- 1:21it is powered by
- 1:22GPT -6 Astra.
- 1:24And with few iteration,
- 1:25depth recognition and all that.
- 1:26Stuff, they were able
- 1:27to do completely automatically pipeline.
- 1:30Sounds very interesting.
- 1:32They show very nice results.
- 1:34We're gonna see if
- 1:35it actually works like that.
- 1:36And another cool thing
- 1:37is that they also
- 1:38have CLI and MCP
- 1:39and this complete workflow
- 1:41you can run through
- 1:42your agent.
- 1:43You don't even really
- 1:44need to go to
- 1:45their platform, right?
- 1:47And through the same
- 1:47API, I can access,
- 1:48you know, all this
- 1:49image generation, 3D generation,
- 1:51like all that kind
- 1:52of stuff, which can
- 1:53be actually a good
- 1:54choice to have one
- 1:55subscription and have all
- 1:56of this, especially with
- 1:57this new thing.
- 1:58I'm gonna try to
- 1:59create three characters, gonna
- 2:00start with a simple,
- 2:01then more complex and
- 2:03very complex.
- 2:04Well, in my opinion, right?
- 2:05And the last one,
- 2:06actually, I'm gonna bring
- 2:07it to the game.
- 2:08So let's see if
- 2:08it actually works.
- 2:09We're gonna start with Bunny.
- 2:10So the process is
- 2:11very simple.
- 2:12I'm gonna show you
- 2:13how I do that
- 2:13in a platform in
- 2:15case you want to
- 2:16repeat this process.
- 2:17The rest are gonna
- 2:18just do with my agent.
- 2:19The whole idea for
- 2:20me is basically that
- 2:21I use one API
- 2:23and my agent, like
- 2:24Claude code, for example,
- 2:26can do whole cycle
- 2:28because I already showed
- 2:29you guys how I
- 2:30creating animations, how we're
- 2:32creating like VFX is
- 2:33all that stuff.
- 2:34And that's pretty much
- 2:35like, again, like all
- 2:36happens in Claude, right?
- 2:38One thing that I
- 2:39still do, I, of
- 2:39course, go and generate.
- 2:41It like two parts
- 2:42or Tripo or any
- 2:43other way, but I
- 2:44still have to verify
- 2:45them in Blender.
- 2:45Let's see if I
- 2:46can skip that part now.
- 2:47So you create a
- 2:48node called 3D production
- 2:49and you can specify
- 2:50some stuff.
- 2:51Of course, I'm going
- 2:52to specify Tripo P
- 2:53to the most recent one.
- 2:55And that's exactly what
- 2:56I want.
- 2:57Right.
- 2:57There are also option
- 2:58to select like how
- 3:00many parts you want
- 3:01to do.
- 3:01Like the character is
- 3:02actually simple.
- 3:03So I think like
- 3:04three, four parts should
- 3:05be enough.
- 3:06Like if I were
- 3:06to create this character,
- 3:08I would say I
- 3:08would create a body,
- 3:09maybe like head and
- 3:10body and then two
- 3:12pieces of garment.
- 3:12Right.
- 3:13We have like top
- 3:14and bottom.
- 3:14And what you get
- 3:15in approximately, I mean,
- 3:17it can take up
- 3:18to 30 minutes, actually.
- 3:19So here you can
- 3:20see it creates multiple parts.
- 3:22Well, actually, exactly as
- 3:24I predicted.
- 3:25Right.
- 3:25So yeah, top, bottom,
- 3:27the body, body with
- 3:28the head.
- 3:29But I think that's fine.
- 3:30Right.
- 3:30So it actually created
- 3:31like three of them
- 3:32and created also like
- 3:34multi views, etc.
- 3:35Well, the quality of
- 3:36parts is obviously really nice.
- 3:37And that's really not
- 3:39the thing that we
- 3:40are looking here because
- 3:41a Tripo P2 does
- 3:42really provide really good quality.
- 3:44But yeah, let's see
- 3:45how it actually assembled
- 3:46things together.
- 3:46So here on preview,
- 3:48it looks really not bad.
- 3:50OK.
- 3:51All right.
- 3:52It actually is quite good.
- 3:54I still see some.
- 3:56Artifacts there and there.
- 3:57Right.
- 3:57OK.
- 3:58Yeah.
- 3:58So there are some
- 3:59artifacts that might need fixes.
- 4:01Well, let me try
- 4:02to give it like
- 4:02one more approach to
- 4:04see if that's going
- 4:04to be better.
- 4:05And here's one more attempt.
- 4:07And this one is
- 4:08much, much better.
- 4:09OK.
- 4:10Yeah.
- 4:10So you can see
- 4:11this one I tried
- 4:12like with Tripo three
- 4:13point one.
- 4:14It has like better
- 4:15adherence like to image
- 4:17references than P2, but
- 4:18P2 has better wireframe.
- 4:19So this one is
- 4:20looking much, better.
- 4:21And here you can
- 4:22see that things are
- 4:23a little bit scale
- 4:24it otherwise like fits better.
- 4:26Actually, not bad.
- 4:27Definitely can save time.
- 4:28I can actually bring
- 4:29it to Blender and
- 4:30just, you know, adjust
- 4:31it a little bit.
- 4:32I can just open
- 4:33this GLB in Blender
- 4:34and just fix some
- 4:35small imperfections.
- 4:37And that's it.
- 4:37Right.
- 4:38But I mentioned Blender,
- 4:39so we're still not
- 4:41100 percent there.
- 4:41Let me actually try
- 4:42like another character that
- 4:43I'm putting into the
- 4:45my game.
- 4:45So here you can
- 4:46see how I do that.
- 4:46Like before that, of
- 4:47course, you're going to
- 4:48go to CLI and
- 4:50MCP here.
- 4:51Honestly, like I basically
- 4:52copy this or like
- 4:53a screenshot it and
- 4:54tell to my agent,
- 4:56like Mr.
- 4:56Mark, like say like,
- 4:57I could just install it.
- 4:58Right.
- 4:58And it's going to
- 4:59install it.
- 5:00And you're going to
- 5:00also need an API
- 5:01key that you can
- 5:02actually issue here.
- 5:04It can go and
- 5:04you just create new
- 5:05API Key here and
- 5:06you can give it
- 5:07to your agent.
- 5:07Or ideally, you put
- 5:08it into environment variable
- 5:10so your agent can
- 5:11access them.
- 5:12And then with this
- 5:13short prompts, you can
- 5:14see again, like I
- 5:15just specified the model
- 5:16that I want.
- 5:17I want quotes and
- 5:18I want like the
- 5:19limit for each part
- 5:20and no more than
- 5:21like five thousand.
- 5:22Right.
- 5:22So, I mean, basically,
- 5:23I know what I'm doing.
- 5:24Right.
- 5:24So and it will
- 5:25be able to run
- 5:26whole pipeline.
- 5:27You can see like
- 5:28how it does the
- 5:29pipeline and what the
- 5:30results we're going to get.
- 5:31By the way, if
- 5:31you want my skill,
- 5:32how I worked with
- 5:34Asset Hub, I did
- 5:34some improvements with my
- 5:36logic, with my requirements
- 5:37that I also put
- 5:39in Mr.
- 5:39Mark workspace.
- 5:40So you can, as
- 5:41always, get it there.
- 5:42And we keep constantly
- 5:44updating Mr.
- 5:44Mark workspace.
- 5:45Like we are about
- 5:46to reach 400 stars.
- 5:47There is this little
- 5:48guy and we just
- 5:49recently added like the
- 5:51mobile support.
- 5:52So you basically can
- 5:53access from your phone,
- 5:55your desktop and work
- 5:56on the game.
- 5:57Like I always have
- 5:58to go somewhere and
- 5:59while my computer is
- 6:00on, I just can
- 6:01control it from my phone.
- 6:02Now we get the results.
- 6:03You can see like
- 6:04the how it does
- 6:05the thing.
- 6:06OK, so separating some
- 6:08parts, et cetera.
- 6:09Oh, oh, this one interesting.
- 6:11It shows the process like.
- 6:13So basically what you
- 6:13see right now, it's
- 6:14like a preview how.
- 6:16It did that to
- 6:18see life.
- 6:19And she's still I
- 6:20sort of get access
- 6:21to all the features.
- 6:22And yeah, I mean,
- 6:23there is a visual
- 6:24representation, let's say.
- 6:25But of course, in
- 6:26my workflow, it's going
- 6:27to make me a
- 6:28report in my workspace.
- 6:29And I must say,
- 6:30like this one is
- 6:31actually really good.
- 6:31You can see like
- 6:32what it was before,
- 6:33what it did like,
- 6:34and how it improved
- 6:36it over time.
- 6:37Right.
- 6:37So three parts.
- 6:39Quite a nice job.
- 6:40Let's take a look
- 6:40on this one.
- 6:41Let me bring it
- 6:42to Blender to expect closely.
- 6:44OK, OK.
- 6:45You can see this
- 6:45inflation and I mean,
- 6:47like, don't get me wrong.
- 6:48Like this is the
- 6:49best result I saw
- 6:50made with AI alone,
- 6:52but it still requires
- 6:53some small fixes.
- 6:54And actually, I got
- 6:55access to this feature
- 6:56two weeks ago and
- 6:57guys was constantly improving
- 6:59this one.
- 7:00There were some crazy
- 7:01challenges, especially again, with
- 7:03some complex characters, because
- 7:04character can be anything right.
- 7:06And the parts can
- 7:07be modular, et cetera.
- 7:09And by the way,
- 7:09like if you're going
- 7:10to use it to
- 7:10see a lot, you
- 7:11can specify that you
- 7:12need like armor separate
- 7:13pan separate and it
- 7:15will take that process
- 7:16through that actually totally fine.
- 7:18Because like a lot
- 7:18of you guys ask
- 7:19me like, OK, I
- 7:20have like set of
- 7:21armor, et cetera.
- 7:22I need this interchangeable.
- 7:23This is exactly what
- 7:24you're going to need
- 7:25to do right.
- 7:25You either create It
- 7:26yourself, either you try
- 7:28to build some pipeline
- 7:29like this.
- 7:30So you have some
- 7:31parts that are interchangeable
- 7:32and so forth.
- 7:33So the results for
- 7:35me are impressive because
- 7:36I also tried to
- 7:38create a skill to
- 7:40make these characters.
- 7:41But I mean, I
- 7:42show you like for
- 7:43my dream game again,
- 7:44like I do most
- 7:45of this manually in
- 7:46Blender because it was
- 7:47not working for me.
- 7:48Like what you see
- 7:49is like the best
- 7:50results that you can
- 7:51get right now.
- 7:52And they still working
- 7:53on that.
- 7:54So they're going to
- 7:54improve it more and more.
- 7:55Now, this like the
- 7:56five by the time
- 7:57you see this video,
- 7:58maybe they're going to
- 7:59roll even more updates.
- 8:00I would say honestly,
- 8:01at this point, it's
- 8:02not a complete replacement,
- 8:04but it's definitely going
- 8:05to save you some time.
- 8:06Like what you really
- 8:07need to do is
- 8:07like to go to
- 8:09Blender and check some
- 8:11parts and adjust a
- 8:12little bit the scaling,
- 8:13et cetera.
- 8:14So for me, again,
- 8:15like that's like just
- 8:16a five minutes and
- 8:17you can just go
- 8:18with, for example, in
- 8:20sculpting, we'll just Grab
- 8:21this Elastic Grab, like
- 8:22the most magical brush
- 8:24that you can use
- 8:25in the sculpting and
- 8:26just adjust the shape.
- 8:27It covers nicely.
- 8:29Another thing is that
- 8:30let's say you're developing
- 8:31like highly optimized game,
- 8:32like a mobile game,
- 8:33you definitely want a
- 8:35little bit more than
- 8:36just a part together.
- 8:38Even though they're optimized,
- 8:39I would say like
- 8:41it's A good thing
- 8:42to cut some parts
- 8:43that are always hidden.
- 8:44So let's say this
- 8:46top wear covers your
- 8:47chest and practically you
- 8:49will never see that
- 8:50chest внутри the game.
- 8:51So you just cut
- 8:52it so you don't
- 8:53have extra geometry and
- 8:55so forth and so forth.
- 8:56So that still might
- 8:57be required.
- 8:58But again, to get
- 8:58things work, this is
- 9:00like a very huge
- 9:01step forward.
- 9:02I mean, I tried
- 9:02if you guys tried
- 9:03and you have like
- 9:04a workflow that 100
- 9:05percent works better and
- 9:06will align parts, because
- 9:08again, like we're talking
- 9:09about modular characters in
- 9:10first place, like because
- 9:11for the games we
- 9:12want characters that can
- 9:14change garment, et cetera.
- 9:15Let me know in
- 9:16the comments, like let
- 9:17me know in the Discord.
- 9:18Like I definitely want
- 9:19to see that because
- 9:20I haven't seen anything
- 9:21better than this.
- 9:22And even this for
- 9:24complex characters, as you
- 9:25can see, will require
- 9:26some additional manual work
- 9:28to align parts together
- 9:30nicely before we actually
- 9:31put it into the game.
- 9:32And if you guys
- 9:33want to learn more
- 9:34how to create characters
- 9:35and environments with AI,
- 9:37you're most welcome to
- 9:38my 3D and AI course.
- 9:39We're going to teach
- 9:40you very minimum of
- 9:42Blender skills and how
- 9:43to combine them with
- 9:44best AI tools to
- 9:45get your characters and
- 9:47game environments done on
- 9:48best possible level in
- 9:50no time.
- 9:51It is especially great
- 9:52for the beginners.
- 9:53And right now you
- 9:53can purchase them as
- 9:55a bundle.
- 9:55All.
- 9:55links.
- 9:55Will be in the description.
- 9:56OK, my elf and
- 9:58my phone is finalized
- 10:00as 3D models also
- 10:01in Blender with AI,.
- 10:03Not myself.
- 10:04When you use like
- 10:05TRIPOR P2, it has
- 10:07like much better UV.
- 10:08So you can ask
- 10:09GPT -6 or.
- 10:10Opus 5 .5 to
- 10:12process maps to add
- 10:14some better properties.
- 10:15So when all of
- 10:16that thing is done,
- 10:17you can.
- 10:18Actually ask GPT -6
- 10:19Astra to do the animations.
- 10:21I already made a
- 10:22video about how I
- 10:24do that, either like create.
- 10:25Videos first and send
- 10:27them as a reference.
- 10:28Again, this workflow getting
- 10:29more and more popular
- 10:30because it works.
- 10:31Again, both Opus 5.
- 10:325 or GPT -6
- 10:34are pretty good in
- 10:35animations if you do
- 10:36it in right order,
- 10:38like in right workflow.
- 10:39Take a look at.
- 10:40My videos, guys.
- 10:41I explain all details.
- 10:42There's exact skills that
- 10:43I used are also
- 10:44in Mr.
- 10:45Mark workspace.
- 10:46Like no secrets at all.
- 10:47The same exact workflow
- 10:48is there.
- 10:49And actually, my characters
- 10:50are getting more and
- 10:51more complex.
- 10:52So they do have
- 10:53quite a lot of VFX,.
- 10:55Not only animations, but
- 10:56some VFX.
- 10:58It's again like arrow
- 10:59shooting effects, some skill
- 11:00effects, like damage effects, like.
- 11:02All that things also
- 11:03done with Claude.
- 11:05But I'm in the
- 11:06loop and I basically
- 11:08made decision, figure out.
- 11:09The references, all that things.
- 11:11Right.
- 11:11And you can see
- 11:12a bunch of animations
- 11:13that I did.
- 11:13Again, we're not talking
- 11:14about like working in
- 11:15Blender manually,.
- 11:17But still giving.
- 11:19Blender to the agent
- 11:20makes so much sense.
- 11:22Right.
- 11:22So probably first AI
- 11:23will just work in
- 11:24Blender for us.
- 11:25And we're going to
- 11:26need to orchestrate or
- 11:27preview some results there.
- 11:28But for me, still
- 11:29assisted workflow is the best.
- 11:31And I think that's
- 11:32the real power.
- 11:33Same thing I did
- 11:34for a dark elf.
- 11:35I think I'm going
- 11:36to spend more time
- 11:37here to make animations
- 11:39a little bit more dynamic.
- 11:40So if you watch
- 11:41my workflow, I added
- 11:43like this option to
- 11:45add poses and provide
- 11:46a feedback.
- 11:47Let's say here, make
- 11:48it more dynamic.
- 11:49And I basically put
- 11:50the arm in the
- 11:51right position and explain
- 11:52that I expect like
- 11:54at this frame arm
- 11:55to be here and
- 11:56it does the normalization
- 11:57and improve the movement.
- 11:58So that takes a
- 12:00little bit of time,
- 12:00but the result is
- 12:02even smoother.
- 12:03Anyway, the first ration
- 12:04is ready to test.
- 12:05So let's go to
- 12:07unity and check the results.
- 12:09OK, I do have
- 12:10a unit playground.
- 12:11We have much more
- 12:12stuff here.
- 12:13Well, guys, there will
- 12:14be videos soon and
- 12:15my game is pretty
- 12:16much playable right now.
- 12:17I can even invite
- 12:18some of you to
- 12:19the play test, whoever wants.
- 12:21And it feels crazy good.
- 12:22OK, so we have
- 12:23much more character right now.
- 12:24I'm going to not
- 12:25show you all.
- 12:26We're like much more.
- 12:27Let's start with elf.
- 12:29OK, so first of
- 12:30all, OK, so here
- 12:32is the guy.
- 12:32OK, walks and he attacks.
- 12:35Boom, boom.
- 12:35Boom.
- 12:36Right.
- 12:36OK, what I'm not
- 12:38happy with, definitely this animation.
- 12:39So this animation, I
- 12:41can improve it a
- 12:42little bit.
- 12:42But look at this
- 12:43cool thing.
- 12:44You can like just
- 12:45think about it.
- 12:45What you're going to
- 12:46see was made by
- 12:48Claude's alone, mostly based
- 12:50on my descriptions and
- 12:52some of my reference.
- 12:53Look at this.
- 12:54Look at this.
- 12:56This is crazy.
- 12:57Boom.
- 12:58Yes, this basic this
- 12:59unit will be dodging
- 13:00some skills.
- 13:01So maybe I can
- 13:02show you like this.
- 13:03So let's say we
- 13:04have an enemy and
- 13:05we're going to create
- 13:06some strong unit.
- 13:07We can actually create
- 13:08three fun.
- 13:09OK, let's actually attack
- 13:10this guy.
- 13:10I hope we're not
- 13:11going to kill him.
- 13:15Look at this guy.
- 13:16Basically dodging.
- 13:17OK, OK, so there
- 13:18is some threshold.
- 13:20How cool is that?
- 13:21Right.
- 13:22OK, so now about phone.
- 13:24They do have arrow
- 13:25of rain.
- 13:25We can actually preview that.
- 13:27Look at this.
- 13:30All right.
- 13:31Nice.
- 13:32There is also a
- 13:33charged shot that is
- 13:34triggered like once in
- 13:35a while.
- 13:36OK, you can see
- 13:37like this and you
- 13:38can see like how
- 13:39they actually walk, right?
- 13:41They basically jumps.
- 13:43Crazy, crazy.
- 13:44Yeah.
- 13:44And by the way,
- 13:44you can see like
- 13:45my characters.
- 13:45They are also modular,
- 13:47but in a way
- 13:48that there's some part
- 13:49that takes colors because
- 13:50we need to mark
- 13:52them like it can
- 13:53be enemy and stuff.
- 13:54So if I go
- 13:54here and create a
- 13:56phone, you can see
- 13:56like it's painted right.
- 13:57And it also.
- 13:58can.
- 13:58Be neutral.
- 13:59And if it's neutral,
- 14:00OK, he actually should still.
- 14:05Yeah So found will
- 14:07be unique units and
- 14:08they will have crazy range.
- 14:11Absolutely lovely.
- 14:12And would you.
- 14:12Believe if I say
- 14:13this two units from
- 14:14A to Z was
- 14:15made within just two days?
- 14:18How crazy is that?
- 14:19And just imagine.
- 14:20Giving this API to
- 14:21your agents.
- 14:22And for example, if
- 14:23you play Project Zero,
- 14:25you can just tell,
- 14:26like, create me this.
- 14:27Character with this stuff
- 14:29and put it внутри
- 14:30my game.
- 14:30It will just create
- 14:31it right.
- 14:31So it can be
- 14:32very useful.
- 14:32And by the way,
- 14:33guys, if you didn't watch.
- 14:34My video about Project
- 14:35Zero, definitely do.
- 14:37It's crazy to see
- 14:38what people create.
- 14:39And you also can
- 14:41create with.
- 14:41Your agent, like you
- 14:43basically connect your AI
- 14:44agents and ask it
- 14:45to create an avatar,
- 14:46a game, and you
- 14:47can play it together and.
- 14:49Win prizes.
- 14:50And the grand prize
- 14:51is crazy.
- 14:52Ten thousand for the
- 14:54first person to find
- 14:55seven keys hidden in.
- 14:56This game.
- 14:57And if you watch
- 14:58Ready Player One movie,
- 14:59you'll definitely know how
- 15:00to raise.
- 15:01And then you just
- 15:02get prize and dance.
- 15:04Can't wait to see
- 15:05someone win the prize.
- 15:06Well, that's it, guys.
- 15:07Would love to hear
- 15:08your feedback about this
- 15:09feature or what you
- 15:10want to see in next.
- 15:11Videos That was Steph
- 15:12as usual.
- 15:13Like and subscribe and
- 15:14I see you in
- 15:14the next one.
