  1. 0:00Welcome to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright.
  2. 0:21Welcome in.
  3. 0:26Oh my gosh, it was football time.
  4. 0:29It really was.
  5. 0:30It was.
  6. 0:30Mike.
  7. 0:32Oh.
  8. 0:33How did that happen?
  9. 0:35I'll tell you what, I assume.
  10. 0:36No one knows.
  11. 0:37I assume, because I know for myself, and we do this professionally, like I don't watch the Hall of Fame game.
  12. 0:44I drive a Dodge Stratus.
  13. 0:46We don't, I don't usually watch the Hall of Fame game.
  14. 0:49The only reason that I really turned it on, obviously Larry's going to the Hall of Fame, and Carson Beck was starting.
  15. 0:55And so I wanted to see it.
  16. 0:57Right.
  17. 0:58Oh, we saw it.
  18. 0:58But the thing is, is regardless of whether you care about Carson Beck or the Cardinals or, you know, the Colts or the Panthers, whoever, if you watched it, it was a wildly fun game.
  19. 1:12Like, really fun, back and forth, crazy ending.
  20. 1:15It was like, it was good football.
  21. 1:17I mean, last second win.
  22. 1:19Yeah.
  23. 1:19Final play of the game.
  24. 1:20Awesome.
  25. 1:21Like a walk-off.
  26. 1:21I mean, you don't, you don't get that in football very often.
  27. 1:24No.
  28. 1:24Because this was like, and thank goodness, and of course, but it was, you know, they could have kicked a field goal to tie the end and go to overtime, which would have been like the play you would have done probably in regular season.
  29. 1:35But the, you know, you don't need more of the Hall of Fame game.
  30. 1:38So they just, it's like a timeless.
  31. 1:41That was really fun.
  32. 1:42It was great.
  33. 1:43It really was football.
  34. 1:44Carson Beck was awesome.
  35. 1:46I mean.
  36. 1:47That's what I hear.
  37. 1:47Four incompletions.
  38. 1:48Did you not watch it?
  39. 1:50No, I was not able to watch it.
  40. 1:51Wow.
  41. 1:52Well, you missed out, Mike.
  42. 1:53I was at mandatory parent meetings.
  43. 1:57For football?
  44. 1:58Yeah.
  45. 1:58Oh, that's, this is like, a lot of you think Mike works here full time.
  46. 2:03No, no, this is my side gig.
  47. 2:05This is Mike's side hustle.
  48. 2:07His full-time job.
  49. 2:08He's a football father.
  50. 2:08Is being a dad to a son who's in high school football.
  51. 2:14The mandatory meeting thing for parents.
  52. 2:16Right.
  53. 2:16They make it, they lay that on thick too.
  54. 2:19It's like, what are they going to do?
  55. 2:20Are they going to take your kid and kick them off the team if you don't show up?
  56. 2:23It's, it's.
  57. 2:24Where's his father?
  58. 2:26It's funny to me.
  59. 2:27And I like, I understand all these things.
  60. 2:28I, you got to be informed, but it's funny though.
  61. 2:31Oh, the mandatory meeting.
  62. 2:33And then we have, um, we got to donate to the snack bar this weekend, but it's a mandatory
  63. 2:39donation.
  64. 2:40You get to donate.
  65. 2:41And I'm like, I don't think that word means what you think it means.
  66. 2:44What you're looking for is a fee.
  67. 2:45Yeah.
  68. 2:46There's a mandatory fee.
  69. 2:48These clubs are out of control.
  70. 2:50It's not just sports.
  71. 2:51You know, my kids.
  72. 2:52We should start something.
  73. 2:53We'd be rich.
  74. 2:54We'd be rich.
  75. 2:54We'd be rich.
  76. 2:54My kids are in a theater where they're in an outreach, an outreach group.
  77. 2:58They have to pay to join the group.
  78. 3:00But then if you're in the group that you pay for, you must participate in all these donation
  79. 3:05events, which is like, wait, we're paying so that we have to pay more.
  80. 3:09What are we doing?
  81. 3:11It's wild.
  82. 3:12By the way, I want to say thank you to the 9,000 people who have DM me their golf tips
  83. 3:17for all the things I was doing wrong.
  84. 3:20Uh, the, the Falcon decided to put together a play nine holes with Andy.
  85. 3:23Then he's going to do a play nine holes with Jason.
  86. 3:25That'll be a longer video, but, uh, just so that, you know, you time lapse it.
  87. 3:32Yeah.
  88. 3:33Well, we may have to skip a few holes.
  89. 3:34Yeah.
  90. 3:35Yeah.
  91. 3:35I was, uh, it's been a humbling experience receiving all of your thoughts and comments.
  92. 3:39Most of you concerned with me chewing on a golf tee.
  93. 3:43Yeah.
  94. 3:43That was the number one tip because, and, and this is a good, there's a good piece of
  95. 3:47advice.
  96. 3:48They care if you were, I've never thought of this.
  97. 3:50If you were taking the tea out of the ground and putting it in your mouth, there's all
  98. 3:53sorts of chemicals.
  99. 3:54Yeah.
  100. 3:55But that wasn't what you were doing, of course, cause you're not a monster.
  101. 3:58No, I mean, this was a regular unused golf tee.
  102. 4:01Yeah.
  103. 4:02Like, like you're supposed to consume.
  104. 4:04And I realized the irony with my tooth problems.
  105. 4:06Yeah.
  106. 4:07You chew on things that you shouldn't chew on.
  107. 4:09Also you did just purchase.
  108. 4:10Maybe they're related.
  109. 4:11You literally, after this purchased flavored golf tees.
  110. 4:16Ridiculous.
  111. 4:17With dental grade plastic.
  112. 4:18Okay.
  113. 4:19They're safe to consume.
  114. 4:21Um, but yeah, that, that was, uh, it was humbling.
  115. 4:24Weird idea.
  116. 4:27To do that?
  117. 4:28Yeah.
  118. 4:28It's because people chew on golf tees, whether they should or shouldn't.
  119. 4:31That happens enough to where there's now a market of me out there.
  120. 4:36Yeah.
  121. 4:36I mean, people sell cigarettes.
  122. 4:38You know, it's like you shouldn't, but if you do.
  123. 4:41There were some people that thought I was just lighting up.
  124. 4:44That thought I smoked.
  125. 4:46Uh, I'll have a cigar in my mouth for, for my play nine.
  126. 4:50Just don't.
  127. 4:51And I don't.
  128. 4:51Dip it in the grass.
  129. 4:52We're the pesticides.
  130. 4:53Right.
  131. 4:54Uh, we have a great show today.
  132. 4:55We got wide receiver countdown.
  133. 4:56We got the news to talk about.
  134. 4:58Um, we got the ultimate draft kit available right now.
  135. 5:01If you do not have it and you are prepping up for drafts, um, the interval season starts
  136. 5:07one week later than it did last year.
  137. 5:10And we have a lot of drafts coming up the rest of this month and into early September
  138. 5:15because the kickoff is September 9th.
  139. 5:17Yeah.
  140. 5:17So you're going to have drafts.
  141. 5:19I mean, we, we have ours on labor day for our league of record, other drafts, uh, throughout
  142. 5:23the month, but you want to be prepared.
  143. 5:26We have put together the ultimate draft kit, uh, over 130,000 words of original content analysis,
  144. 5:33player analysis, rankings, uh, all of our, you know, the draft analyzer is part of the
  145. 5:38UDK plus the mock draft tool is brand new.
  146. 5:40And I think we saw yesterday over 150,000 mock drafts have already taken place on the
  147. 5:45platform, always updating and improving the UDK every single day.
  148. 5:50We have videos talking about Cyrus Allen here, baby.
  149. 5:53Yeah.
  150. 5:53I mean, there's a lot of the, the unheralded rookies that are making waves.
  151. 5:58This is the time of year where we can make some notes on them, make sure you're aware
  152. 6:01of them in the, in the draft kit.
  153. 6:03And we've got videos, individual videos on basically every single really relevant player.
  154. 6:08Those are worth a watch or a listen.
  155. 6:11You can do it either way.
  156. 6:12And, uh, yeah, it's all in, all in the UDK.
  157. 6:14And if you are sticking with us throughout the season, one of the things we do from February
  158. 6:18all the way through kickoff is allow you to take the full price that you paid for the
  159. 6:22UDK and just apply it to become an ultimate foot clan member dollar for dollar.
  160. 6:27So it's a completely, you know, we don't take anything away from it.
  161. 6:30We prorate it fully and that gets you the in-season tools like the ultimate dashboard,
  162. 6:35all of our in-season rankings, the trade analyzer, which is part of that, all the, the stream
  163. 6:39finder, the start set tool, all the in-season stuff.
  164. 6:42If you just want one thing to worry about and you want to support the show, you can do
  165. 6:46that, uh, just by going to join the foot.com.
  166. 6:49And you'll see if you're logged in under your UDK account, you can just apply that and pick
  167. 6:53it up.
  168. 6:53So ultimate draft kit.com for the draft kit, join the foot.com for the ultimate membership.
  169. 6:58And we do have that giveaway going on right now, completely free to enter footclangiveaway.com
  170. 7:03for a sign.
  171. 7:03There's so much going on right now.
  172. 7:04Bijon Robinson jersey.
  173. 7:06You can go do that.
  174. 7:08Quick question of the day comes in from Brandon in Nebraska.
  175. 7:11He says, in my 12 team PPR league, we do not know the draft order until one hour before
  176. 7:15draft time.
  177. 7:16I just want to hear your input.
  178. 7:18So mysterious.
  179. 7:19On how I should prepare myself best for this draft.
  180. 7:22Yeah, we, we do this for our listener league, which thank you all who have submitted.
  181. 7:25And you get a morbid satisfaction out of it.
  182. 7:27I do.
  183. 7:28I really love that.
  184. 7:29You can't truly fully prepare that you can prepare.
  185. 7:33I mean, yeah.
  186. 7:33People get desperate though.
  187. 7:34They're like, Jason, come on, come on.
  188. 7:36Tell us what I really want to do is like, I want to give them the order so that they prepare
  189. 7:41and then last second change it so that they prepared wrong.
  190. 7:45In fact, I'm doing that this year.
  191. 7:48Can we, can I get agreement?
  192. 7:50Wait, what, what do you want to do?
  193. 7:51I want to tell you.
  194. 7:52I know, but they might not be listening to this episode right now, but I'm saying if they're
  195. 7:57in the listener league, they better be listening to this episode.
  196. 7:58Yeah, that's true.
  197. 7:59They better be listening to all of them.
  198. 8:00I was saying I should set a draft order now and then completely change it right before
  199. 8:04the draft.
  200. 8:05I mean, but they'll know.
  201. 8:06If they're listening.
  202. 8:07That's, you know, it's a, it's an advantage.
  203. 8:09Here's, here's the answer to the question.
  204. 8:11Because the real trick is do the draft order and then surprise them like 30 seconds later,
  205. 8:16but don't tell them on this show.
  206. 8:17Well, sure, but I've already told them.
  207. 8:20When you have a draft like this coming up, mock drafts are incredibly important.
  208. 8:25That's why we just built a mock draft tool.
  209. 8:27What you do is you do a handful of drafts from the two, the seven and the 11, assuming
  210. 8:33it's a 12 person team.
  211. 8:35All you really need to know is what is it like at the beginning, the middle or the end
  212. 8:40of drafts?
  213. 8:41You don't have to know your exact draft spot.
  214. 8:42You just need to know, like when I'm near the back end of the first round, you know,
  215. 8:47and I'm, I'm near the, you know, the one, two and the three, four turn, what players,
  216. 8:52what positions really do I like better or worse in the next time I'm on the clock?
  217. 8:59The next time I'm on the clock, that's pretty much all you have to do.
  218. 9:03I think that's how I would like to prepare.
  219. 9:06Yeah.
  220. 9:06I mean, I think it's the essence of what we do in our rankings as well.
  221. 9:10It's the tier-based drafting strategy puts you in a position where you are able to react
  222. 9:16to whatever happens just because you know, your draft spot.
  223. 9:20Okay.
  224. 9:20Maybe you can project your first round situation perfectly, or, you know, kind of where things
  225. 9:24are falling.
  226. 9:25You're going to get surprised no matter whether you know it or not throughout the second,
  227. 9:29third, fourth, fifth round and beyond.
  228. 9:32We use tiers to define player groupings so that you can make decisions down the line.
  229. 9:39And when we did a mock draft show yesterday, there were often times we're looking at the
  230. 9:43situation saying, look, I, you know, this, this player is the final one of a group of
  231. 9:47relevant running backs.
  232. 9:48I like, and there's still five or six wide receivers in that tier.
  233. 9:52I like, so I'm going to move to the running back position.
  234. 9:54I think tier-based drafting is another key to that.
  235. 9:57And I agree with the mock draft analysis as well.
  236. 10:00Yeah.
  237. 10:00We have a tips and tricks episode coming up soon.
  238. 10:03There might be more info on that to come.
  239. 10:05All right.
  240. 10:07We can move on.
  241. 10:08Talk some news.
  242. 10:11News and notes from around the league.
  243. 10:15I mean, it is, it is news that Carson Beck completed 14 of 18 passes.
  244. 10:20Two of the misses were dropped.
  245. 10:22One was an intentional throwaway.
  246. 10:24He was excellent.
  247. 10:25And these weren't just, you know, dump offs.
  248. 10:27This was down the field.
  249. 10:28This was across the middle.
  250. 10:29It's relevant because we're all sitting here saying, you know, when is Mendoza going to
  251. 10:33play, when is, when is Carson Beck going to take the field?
  252. 10:35How is this going to impact Bowers and McBride?
  253. 10:38If I'm the Arizona Cardinals and their ex GM even came out last night and said what we're
  254. 10:43all thinking, which is, you know, you're going to be one of the worst teams in the league.
  255. 10:46The Cardinals are favored in zero games.
  256. 10:50So, okay.
  257. 10:51Maybe you, maybe you outkick your coverage a little bit and you win five.
  258. 10:54You win because of what they're projected for three and a half.
  259. 10:57Is it three?
  260. 10:57I thought it was four and a half.
  261. 10:58It might be four and a half.
  262. 11:00Ooh.
  263. 11:00I mean, I mean, this is.
  264. 11:02Whoa, whoa, whoa, buddy.
  265. 11:03Oh, it is three and a half.
  266. 11:04The point is, this is your goal this season.
  267. 11:06And this is where you've got a rookie head coach.
  268. 11:09You want to win games.
  269. 11:10Everybody wants to win games.
  270. 11:11You want to show your team that you're playing the best players.
  271. 11:13I get it.
  272. 11:14But your true agenda this year will be at some point to understand if you have anything
  273. 11:19in Carson Beck, who was the third quarterback drafted in the NFL draft.
  274. 11:23You will want to know if you need to use a high pick on a quarterback or not, which means,
  275. 11:28look, we'll see what the rest of the preseason looks like.
  276. 11:30It's one game.
  277. 11:31Let me ask you.
  278. 11:32But he started in Canton.
  279. 11:33He's ending in Canton, baby.
  280. 11:35Yeah.
  281. 11:35Yeah.
  282. 11:36Max Hall also looked great in preseason once for the Cardinals.
  283. 11:40Let me ask you this.
  284. 11:41If this actually moves the needle of Carson Beck to start more games, which I believe it
  285. 11:46has or will.
  286. 11:48If you knew that Carson Beck was starting 75% of the season, or let's just say the entire
  287. 11:55season, you just said recently that you are Trey McBride over Brock Bowers.
  288. 12:00Would that flip it for you?
  289. 12:01Would that be a negative for Trey McBride that the rookie will start the whole season?
  290. 12:05Because he won't be as good as...
  291. 12:07Yes.
  292. 12:08It would flip it for me.
  293. 12:09Yeah.
  294. 12:09Because I just don't think the touchdown totals are going to be anywhere near what Jacoby
  295. 12:12Reset was able to do.
  296. 12:14And we just talked about McBride.
  297. 12:17One of the keys to his dominance was 11 touchdowns.
  298. 12:20Double-digit touchdowns with a rookie I find to be somewhat unrealistic.
  299. 12:24Bauer still is going to have his challenges at some point in time, but at least it's the
  300. 12:27number one overall pick.
  301. 12:28It's exciting, but it was the Hall of Fame game where this is an audition for guys who
  302. 12:37may not even get more chances in preseason.
  303. 12:40I love one of the...
  304. 12:42We are burying the lead on the Hall of Fame game, by the way.
  305. 12:44Are we?
  306. 12:44I can't believe it.
  307. 12:45Hings King?
  308. 12:46Nope.
  309. 12:47Oh.
  310. 12:48That would be...
  311. 12:49Why don't you tell me what the lead is?
  312. 12:50Yeah.
  313. 12:51You don't know what it is?
  314. 12:52I thought it was Carson Beck.
  315. 12:53It's A-Chand.
  316. 12:54Oh, yeah!
  317. 12:56Yeah!
  318. 12:56Yeah!
  319. 12:57Ha-ha!
  320. 12:58Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!
  321. 13:00Mike...
  322. 13:01You're laughing at yourself here.
  323. 13:03No, no, no.
  324. 13:03No, I am not.
  325. 13:04I am laughing upon the...
  326. 13:07We've taken a lot of heat.
  327. 13:08And it's not just like, hey, guys, it's confusing.
  328. 13:11It's...
  329. 13:11It is a barrage of insults.
  330. 13:15People are like, I'm never listening to this show again, unless you start calling him
  331. 13:19ETN.
  332. 13:19It's like, dude, chill out.
  333. 13:21We're trying to figure out what the right thing is for...
  334. 13:23We don't like it.
  335. 13:24Yeah, we want to call him ETN because...
  336. 13:26It would be so much easier.
  337. 13:27Because A-Chand is the name of another player at the same position.
  338. 13:31But last night...
  339. 13:32That's all I'm saying.
  340. 13:33Last night, Carolina, at the running back position, his brother, Trevor A-Chand, is what
  341. 13:38they said on the broadcast.
  342. 13:39At least...
  343. 13:40That's what they want to be called.
  344. 13:41And they went through...
  345. 13:42At least with Travis, we get a junior on it, and we can make it easier for everyone.
  346. 13:45That's why I'm going...
  347. 13:45I'm trying to get Rumbelaya going, I'm doing my best, but we're not going to call him the
  348. 13:49wrong name.
  349. 13:50Yeah, it does look like the broadcast teams will be calling Travis and Trevor A-Chand.
  350. 13:56And it will be okay.
  351. 13:58We will get six weeks into the season, and everything will be just fine.
  352. 14:01We'll be used to it.
  353. 14:02Yeah.
  354. 14:03We'll be bemoaning Travis A-Chand Jr. not catching our passes.
  355. 14:06We were just early.
  356. 14:08And that's what feels bad.
  357. 14:09Because we were trying to respect it.
  358. 14:10I'm just saying, the vitriol, which was so weird.
  359. 14:15Well, I mean, yeah.
  360. 14:17In your face.
  361. 14:19Oh, okay, Mike.
  362. 14:19All right.
  363. 14:20No, man.
  364. 14:21Let's keep him on our team.
  365. 14:22Jameer Gibbs, three-year, $67 million extension.
  366. 14:25Satted on yesterday's show.
  367. 14:26It was a matter of moments.
  368. 14:28And it happened.
  369. 14:29And he gets, what, 500K more than...
  370. 14:30Yeah, he got slightly...
  371. 14:31Then Bichon.
  372. 14:32That's what we said.
  373. 14:33It's like, do you want to be the first?
  374. 14:36Because if you're the first, you set the line, and then the next guy's going to go give
  375. 14:40me just a little bit more than that.
  376. 14:41Good?
  377. 14:42The two should have gotten together and been like, all right, whoever signs it first will split
  378. 14:47the difference between what I get above.
  379. 14:48Like a chop pot?
  380. 14:49Get them both done like a chop pot.
  381. 14:52Jalen Knoll coming off the NFI list.
  382. 14:54Jalen Knoll's got an uphill climb.
  383. 14:56You've got Tank Dell and Jaden Higgins and Xavier Hutchinson.
  384. 15:00And yeah, Jalen Knoll's probably not going to be relevant.
  385. 15:02Jaden Higgins has been getting a lot of positive buzz in camp.
  386. 15:05So it's a name to pay attention to with Christian Kirk gone.
  387. 15:08Yeah, absolutely.
  388. 15:08You're too wide receiver for the Texans.
  389. 15:11I did watch this.
  390. 15:12We're talking about Alec Pierce and the return from left ankle surgery.
  391. 15:16I watched, like it's being reported that Shane Steichen says there's no timetable.
  392. 15:21I watched the press conference.
  393. 15:23It was, this is getting blown out of proportion, in my opinion, because all they did was say,
  394. 15:28is there any update to the timetable?
  395. 15:30And he said, no, no update.
  396. 15:32He's doing great.
  397. 15:33He's working out.
  398. 15:33He's doing a hell of a job in his rehab process.
  399. 15:37And you wouldn't even believe he said he's excited.
  400. 15:40So then this is great reporting for you, Andy, because you you're in on Alec Pierce this year.
  401. 15:45I mean, this is not great.
  402. 15:46I'd rather have him give a timetable that says tomorrow.
  403. 15:48I'm saying great because this will push his ADP down.
  404. 15:51People will be more and more afraid.
  405. 15:53And if you're watching past the headline and you see that it's, it's really no different
  406. 15:57than what we already knew was.
  407. 15:58That's how I'm interpreting it.
  408. 16:00And now I don't, I don't like that.
  409. 16:01I mean, it's just a weird situation when you have,
  410. 16:03and we've had this before.
  411. 16:04I mean, Godwin, Godwin is a perfect example of this.
  412. 16:08Godwin had a major injury, then signed a major contract extension,
  413. 16:11then had to come back from injury.
  414. 16:13Alec Pierce, just to be under.
  415. 16:15Wasn't that good.
  416. 16:16Just so you understand, he was paid.
  417. 16:19Like.
  418. 16:20Eighty six million guaranteed.
  419. 16:22He's 27, 28 million a year as a wide receiver.
  420. 16:26That is.
  421. 16:26And then they said, goodbye, Michael Pittman.
  422. 16:28So that's their level of belief.
  423. 16:31Now they can't control outcomes of rehabbing and surgery and things like that or setbacks.
  424. 16:35If those happen.
  425. 16:36All this to say it's August 7th.
  426. 16:38We are a month.
  427. 16:39We're more than a month away from the kickoff of the NFL season.
  428. 16:42And even further from the Sunday in which the Colts play.
  429. 16:45I'm not going to panic today.
  430. 16:47But if in, if in three weeks from now, Alec Pierce has not been running around at, at training camp,
  431. 16:55I will then be worried.
  432. 16:56But I'm giving it a three week timer right now.
  433. 16:58Okay.
  434. 16:58Because he's the bona fide guaranteed number one of this wide receiver room.
  435. 17:03Now, don't you think that if he gets back for the first time in three weeks that he will be starting slow?
  436. 17:09I don't know.
  437. 17:10I don't know if he'll be starting slow because he's still going to have almost two weeks to get back into shape.
  438. 17:16We'll see.
  439. 17:17I mean, you want me, you want to go two weeks?
  440. 17:19Okay.
  441. 17:19Yeah, I do.
  442. 17:20I do.
  443. 17:20I think you need at least a two week ramp up.
  444. 17:23Yeah.
  445. 17:23Yeah, that's fine.
  446. 17:24Jalen Waddle, a strain.
  447. 17:25Will return in four to five days.
  448. 17:27He's fine.
  449. 17:28He's used to this every game.
  450. 17:29Walking with a limp.
  451. 17:30That is, that is the waddle walk.
  452. 17:32I mean, that is what he does.
  453. 17:34How do they not say he was walking with a waddle?
  454. 17:38Yeah.
  455. 17:38They said walking with a limp.
  456. 17:40They didn't say he was waddling around, which he was.
  457. 17:42Wouldn't you be waddling with a limp?
  458. 17:44Isn't that actually what you'd be doing?
  459. 17:45Yeah, that's fine.
  460. 17:46That's quality recording.
  461. 17:47He's waddling with a waddle.
  462. 17:49Romeo Dobbs did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday.
  463. 17:53They think it's not serious.
  464. 17:54Yeah, that doesn't sound serious.
  465. 17:55The Patriots wide receiver room is fascinating.
  466. 17:59If you've been following what's going on with the training camp, because the offseason was, was Kayshawn Booty, who was a very solid player for them.
  467. 18:08Deep threat last year, he felt like the odd man out.
  468. 18:12Like, he was.
  469. 18:12Well, I mean, he didn't just feel like it.
  470. 18:14He requested a trade.
  471. 18:15Yeah.
  472. 18:15He continues to.
  473. 18:16He's asking for one now.
  474. 18:16He was not showing up to some, some voluntary stuff.
  475. 18:20And the talks of a trade.
  476. 18:23But all the reporting is like, Kayshawn Booty is, is one of the best wide receivers for the Patriots this entire training camp process.
  477. 18:33So it's like, who, who is actually going to be playing for this?
  478. 18:37Because you're.
  479. 18:39Demario Douglas is going to get a lot of snaps.
  480. 18:41That's.
  481. 18:41Because Diggs was short area targets.
  482. 18:43That's the question.
  483. 18:43And Douglas has been playing.
  484. 18:44Because you have A.J. Brown's a lock.
  485. 18:46Romeo Dobbs would be insane if you gave him that amount of money.
  486. 18:50And then he's not your two.
  487. 18:52So then it's the three.
  488. 18:54Well, then.
  489. 18:55But should you put.
  490. 18:56Are you putting Dobbs in the slot then and putting Booty on the outside?
  491. 18:59Where.
  492. 18:59Because you have Douglas, who is a great slot.
  493. 19:01Well, and Booty's requested a trade, right?
  494. 19:03And.
  495. 19:03Because he feels like he doesn't have a real opportunity.
  496. 19:06A lot of people have assumed he would be traded.
  497. 19:09I'm surprised he's still a Patriot.
  498. 19:10Maybe they're waiting for for a higher price.
  499. 19:12But there's there's some teams out there that could.
  500. 19:15You telling me the Chiefs aren't better with Booty?
  501. 19:17Sure.
  502. 19:18But.
  503. 19:19Yeah.
  504. 19:19Well.
  505. 19:19We're all better with Booty.
  506. 19:20Yeah.
  507. 19:21Kayshawn.
  508. 19:22Booty.
  509. 19:23Yeah.
  510. 19:23I mean.
  511. 19:24Demario Douglas.
  512. 19:25I mean.
  513. 19:25He only played.
  514. 19:27I mean.
  515. 19:27Pop Douglas played like 27% of snaps last year.
  516. 19:30And his reports in the preseason have been great.
  517. 19:32But he's a limited player.
  518. 19:33It's mysterious what's going on up there.
  519. 19:35And you've got Matt Collins.
  520. 19:36Don't forget about.
  521. 19:37Yes.
  522. 19:38The barefoot merchant.
  523. 19:39Dude.
  524. 19:40Matt Collins rules.
  525. 19:41All right.
  526. 19:41We'll take a break here.
  527. 19:43And we're going to jump into wide receiver rankings.
  528. 19:44This should be fun.
  529. 19:45We've got a couple shows for wide receivers.
  530. 19:47Countdown 20 through 11.
  531. 20:00Wide receivers.
  532. 20:01It should be said in the context of the Alec Pierce news with a team that's lost Michael
  533. 20:07Pittman.
  534. 20:08You know.
  535. 20:08Jason's already talked a lot about Tyler Warren.
  536. 20:10But if Alec Pierce is limited.
  537. 20:13If it takes some time to get going.
  538. 20:15It's all the more reason to spend an early pick on Josh Downs and give him a shot.
  539. 20:19Because somebody has to catch the ball there.
  540. 20:22He's going to get more opportunities.
  541. 20:23Whether he's going to be good enough on the outside is TBD.
  542. 20:27But he's still going to be on the field.
  543. 20:29And behind him it's Ashton Doolin.
  544. 20:31Which has been the case for a while.
  545. 20:33Which you know.
  546. 20:34That's part of the reason I'm not sure about Downs being great on the outside.
  547. 20:37It's like why weren't you taking snaps from him before.
  548. 20:40But you had Pittman in the slot.
  549. 20:41So yeah.
  550. 20:43Wide receiver rankings countdown.
  551. 20:46Let's do it.
  552. 20:47Here's some numbers for you.
  553. 20:48What makes a wide receiver two?
  554. 20:49We're looking at 20 through 11 today.
  555. 20:52Over the last decade among 110 wide receivers finishing in this range.
  556. 20:5684% of them averaged 7 or more targets per game.
  557. 21:01I mean 7 or more is a big number.
  558. 21:0377% had 1,000 or more receiving yards.
  559. 21:07And 75% had 6 or more receiving touchdowns.
  560. 21:11When did we switch to 17 games by the way?
  561. 21:13Can we officially remember that date?
  562. 21:15No we cannot officially remember that date.
  563. 21:17No one.
  564. 21:17But in a 17 game season.
  565. 21:207 targets a game would be 119 targets.
  566. 21:232021.
  567. 21:25Okay so we've had half a decade.
  568. 21:27This is.
  569. 21:27I just think it's funny when you're like 77% have had 1,000 or more receiving yards.
  570. 21:31But you got an extra game for half of them.
  571. 21:34So an extra opportunity to do it.
  572. 21:36Those thresholds nobody's adjusted properly.
  573. 21:40Yeah.
  574. 21:40But numbers are.
  575. 21:41When it gets to 18.
  576. 21:41Are you just going to keep saying he's a 1,000 yard receiver?
  577. 21:44Sure.
  578. 21:44We haven't done that.
  579. 21:44Two bonus games?
  580. 21:45But also production has been down.
  581. 21:47We've talked about that globally.
  582. 21:50T. Higgins comes in at number 20 guys.
  583. 21:52That feels like a real floor situation for T. Higgins.
  584. 21:56And we all have him ranked there.
  585. 21:58I think just because we like the upside of a lot of other players.
  586. 22:02I mean classic situation Jason.
  587. 22:04You and I have him higher than Mike.
  588. 22:07Yeah.
  589. 22:08Look.
  590. 22:08We.
  591. 22:09We love T. Higgins here.
  592. 22:11You and I do.
  593. 22:12Yeah.
  594. 22:12Go on.
  595. 22:12T. Higgins is being drafted as the wide receiver 14.
  596. 22:15That's fine.
  597. 22:17Why are we all below ADP?
  598. 22:18Release me.
  599. 22:19Why are we all below ADP?
  600. 22:20I think the reason we're below ADP is because where T. Higgins scores his fantasy points in recent memory is touchdowns.
  601. 22:28Like he was on pace for 12 and a half touchdowns.
  602. 22:30And he can absolutely 100% replicate that.
  603. 22:33But we can't project him.
  604. 22:35Right.
  605. 22:35For 12 and a half touchdowns.
  606. 22:37So like I have him projected for nine touchdowns.
  607. 22:40Which.
  608. 22:40I have him at 8.2.
  609. 22:42Yeah.
  610. 22:42And so when you do that.
  611. 22:44When you project kind of a good median outcome.
  612. 22:47It's going to hurt him whenever there's a guy who is really touchdown heavy on where the fantasy points come from.
  613. 22:55They'll usually be a little lower in like linear rankings.
  614. 23:0021 receiving touchdowns over the last two years.
  615. 23:02Yeah.
  616. 23:02Only Chase Amonron Adams have more than that.
  617. 23:04Wow.
  618. 23:05So.
  619. 23:06It's just touchdowns aren't a sticky stat.
  620. 23:08I mean.
  621. 23:08But they are for a few.
  622. 23:10A few people.
  623. 23:12You always have an injury concern with T. Higgins.
  624. 23:14No question.
  625. 23:15It's been a problem.
  626. 23:18Anytime a player has a narrative that involves him running up a hill at practice.
  627. 23:22You know injuries have been part of his story.
  628. 23:24Yeah.
  629. 23:25I mean this is.
  630. 23:25It's also.
  631. 23:26When I look.
  632. 23:27Factual information.
  633. 23:28Yeah.
  634. 23:28When I look at last year.
  635. 23:29I'm like.
  636. 23:31Thank goodness.
  637. 23:31We finally got a full season out of T. Higgins.
  638. 23:34He still missed two games and was injured.
  639. 23:36But it feels great.
  640. 23:38Like.
  641. 23:38That's a full season.
  642. 23:38That's a full season.
  643. 23:3915 games is a full season for T. Higgins.
  644. 23:41If you tell me T. Higgins gets a thousand yards.
  645. 23:43I'll be like.
  646. 23:43Wow.
  647. 23:44Yeah.
  648. 23:44Because per game.
  649. 23:45Because per game.
  650. 23:46In 12 games.
  651. 23:46He got a thousand.
  652. 23:47They.
  653. 23:48I mean.
  654. 23:49They're in some of the highest over under games of the season.
  655. 23:52I mean.
  656. 23:53The.
  657. 23:53The Bengals average.
  658. 23:55I think line is like 49.
  659. 23:57Yes.
  660. 23:58So.
  661. 23:59Again.
  662. 23:59This is.
  663. 23:59This comes down to.
  664. 24:00There's two factors for T. Higgins.
  665. 24:02One is that his quarterback's healthy.
  666. 24:04And that's not always been the case.
  667. 24:05And the other is that Higgins is healthy.
  668. 24:06And that's not always been the case.
  669. 24:08If both of those are true.
  670. 24:09The way they pass the football.
  671. 24:12I mean.
  672. 24:13T. Higgins is.
  673. 24:13Is really.
  674. 24:14This is the floor for him.
  675. 24:15This is the floor as far as our ranking of 20.
  676. 24:18He's being drafted at wide receiver 14.
  677. 24:19I don't have any problem with that.
  678. 24:21Take your shots on T. Higgins.
  679. 24:22Because.
  680. 24:23He can finish as high as the wide receiver.
  681. 24:25Six.
  682. 24:27I was going to say like 10.
  683. 24:28I think he can easily be top 10.
  684. 24:30I mean.
  685. 24:31You also have the built in obvious.
  686. 24:32You have that.
  687. 24:33If the injury happens to Jamar Chase.
  688. 24:36What's his highest fantasy finish ever?
  689. 24:38I'm just curious.
  690. 24:40Per game.
  691. 24:41No.
  692. 24:42No.
  693. 24:42No.
  694. 24:42I believe it's 17.
  695. 24:44Okay.
  696. 24:44So yeah.
  697. 24:45That's where I.
  698. 24:46Six seems a little.
  699. 24:47Yeah.
  700. 24:48I mean.
  701. 24:48That.
  702. 24:48That is under the.
  703. 24:50That's like if Jamar Chase gets injured.
  704. 24:51And he ends up with 12 touchdowns.
  705. 24:53In 2024.
  706. 24:54He was 15 and a half points per game.
  707. 24:56Right.
  708. 24:5615 and a half points per game would be.
  709. 24:59Probably higher than.
  710. 25:00Well in 12 games.
  711. 25:01So that was good enough for the wide receiver 19.
  712. 25:03Saying if you get.
  713. 25:04If you're at 15 and a half.
  714. 25:05And you play 15 games.
  715. 25:08Also notice that we're calling it the full season for T.
  716. 25:10Higgins.
  717. 25:11You're going to.
  718. 25:12You're going to be a top 10 guy.
  719. 25:13This is year seven for T.
  720. 25:15Higgins.
  721. 25:16Yeah.
  722. 25:1615 and a half would have been wide receiver five last year.
  723. 25:19George Pickens for context was 14.4 last year.
  724. 25:22But.
  725. 25:23It's kind of.
  726. 25:23It's kind of chicken egg though.
  727. 25:24Right.
  728. 25:24Because it's like if you don't play enough games.
  729. 25:26You also don't have as many games that you can.
  730. 25:27Have a down game or anything like that.
  731. 25:29Yeah.
  732. 25:29For sure.
  733. 25:30I.
  734. 25:30The thing is.
  735. 25:31Is this year.
  736. 25:32And every year.
  737. 25:33You want to target certain teams.
  738. 25:35I want to target.
  739. 25:36Yeah.
  740. 25:36Cowboys.
  741. 25:36The Bengals.
  742. 25:37And the Lions.
  743. 25:38I want.
  744. 25:38I want as many pieces from those teams as I can get.
  745. 25:41And the Rams.
  746. 25:42Yeah.
  747. 25:42The Rams too.
  748. 25:43That's.
  749. 25:43That's fine.
  750. 25:44There's.
  751. 25:44Those don't feel like debatable picks.
  752. 25:46You're saying.
  753. 25:46Or.
  754. 25:46Well.
  755. 25:47Yeah.
  756. 25:47I mean.
  757. 25:47The Rams were the top scoring team in the league last year.
  758. 25:49For sure.
  759. 25:50My issue with the Rams is simply.
  760. 25:53That.
  761. 25:54You've got the question at the running back position.
  762. 25:58Most people do.
  763. 25:59Well.
  764. 25:59There is a question.
  765. 26:01There is a question.
  766. 26:01I have the answer.
  767. 26:02But.
  768. 26:03There is a question.
  769. 26:04But.
  770. 26:04The age of Devontae Adams.
  771. 26:06And whether or not he's still got it.
  772. 26:08And.
  773. 26:08Assuming Aaron Donald is back.
  774. 26:10I think that defense.
  775. 26:11I don't doubt their offense though man.
  776. 26:12I don't doubt their offense.
  777. 26:13I think they'll be the top scoring offense again.
  778. 26:15I.
  779. 26:15I do not.
  780. 26:16I don't think.
  781. 26:17Yeah.
  782. 26:17Because.
  783. 26:17Because that's why I.
  784. 26:18I put the Lions.
  785. 26:19The Bengals.
  786. 26:19And the Cowboys.
  787. 26:20In another tier.
  788. 26:21Is because of their defense.
  789. 26:22They're often.
  790. 26:23All of those offenses are outrageously good.
  791. 26:25But when.
  792. 26:26When one team breaks fantasy.
  793. 26:27It's usually.
  794. 26:28Coinciding with.
  795. 26:29I got to score 35 points a game.
  796. 26:32Okay.
  797. 26:33Tett McMillan comes in at 19.
  798. 26:3423 years old.
  799. 26:36Mike is the highest on Tett McMillan.
  800. 26:38I have no idea what happened here.
  801. 26:40I.
  802. 26:41I just like.
  803. 26:42Well.
  804. 26:42One.
  805. 26:42The reason that you don't know what happened.
  806. 26:44Is because at one point months ago.
  807. 26:46I was very.
  808. 26:46Very high on Tettoroa McMillan.
  809. 26:48It would.
  810. 26:48It.
  811. 26:49He was in my top 10.
  812. 26:49Months ago it was.
  813. 26:51I was the one who was.
  814. 26:53Kind of scared of McMillan.
  815. 26:55And the two of you guys felt real strong.
  816. 26:57You made great arguments Mike.
  817. 26:59I.
  818. 27:00Apparently.
  819. 27:00You overcorrected.
  820. 27:01I have the correct ranking at 15.
  821. 27:04Oh.
  822. 27:04I went too far.
  823. 27:05Yeah.
  824. 27:05Yeah.
  825. 27:05Yeah.
  826. 27:05I should have gone with the correct ranking.
  827. 27:07Put him at 15.
  828. 27:08I don't do that.
  829. 27:09Tettoroa is awesome.
  830. 27:11He's a great player.
  831. 27:13If he were in a different situation.
  832. 27:15He could finish as you know.
  833. 27:17A top five wide receiver without question.
  834. 27:20The question is.
  835. 27:21Can Bryce Young.
  836. 27:23Do enough.
  837. 27:24To allow Tettoroa to be a wide receiver.
  838. 27:27One.
  839. 27:27I still believe he can.
  840. 27:29Especially with some of the injuries around.
  841. 27:31That team right now.
  842. 27:32The other positions are going down.
  843. 27:33Jadavian Sanders has gone down.
  844. 27:36Someone else just went down to an injury.
  845. 27:39Well.
  846. 27:40They're the rookie.
  847. 27:40The second round rookie will not be playing this year.
  848. 27:43Yes.
  849. 27:43That's.
  850. 27:44That's what it was.
  851. 27:45And so.
  852. 27:46I.
  853. 27:47I like Tett a lot.
  854. 27:49I just think he.
  855. 27:50His ceiling is a little bit hamstrung by Bryce Young.
  856. 27:54I mean.
  857. 27:54You look at last year.
  858. 27:56And there's some things that were true about Tettoroa.
  859. 27:57Tettoroa McMillan.
  860. 27:58He was the offensive player of the year.
  861. 27:59As a rookie.
  862. 28:00Right.
  863. 28:00Offensive rookie of the year.
  864. 28:01He had over a thousand yards.
  865. 28:03And he had seven touchdowns.
  866. 28:04If we like that thousand yard number.
  867. 28:06So you had a season where he.
  868. 28:08He was.
  869. 28:08He scored seven times.
  870. 28:10And had over a thousand yards.
  871. 28:11He finishes at wide receiver 17.
  872. 28:13And more importantly.
  873. 28:14For your fantasy team.
  874. 28:15He only had two weeks.
  875. 28:16Where he was inside the top 12 of the position.
  876. 28:17And one of them was 12 on the dot.
  877. 28:19So you look at that situation.
  878. 28:20And you say.
  879. 28:21You know.
  880. 28:22I think the T.
  881. 28:23Higgins V.
  882. 28:24Tett McMillan.
  883. 28:25Is an incredible decision.
  884. 28:27Because.
  885. 28:27On one hand.
  886. 28:28You have the clear bona fide guarantee.
  887. 28:30Number one of a team.
  888. 28:31Mm-hmm.
  889. 28:31And the other.
  890. 28:32You have a.
  891. 28:33Obviously number two.
  892. 28:34Of the.
  893. 28:34Of the offense.
  894. 28:35But a huge difference.
  895. 28:36At total yardage output.
  896. 28:38I like Carolina.
  897. 28:39To.
  898. 28:40You know.
  899. 28:40I think.
  900. 28:41Bryce Young can take a step forward.
  901. 28:42I've made that argument before.
  902. 28:44I.
  903. 28:45But I.
  904. 28:46I think that Jason's right.
  905. 28:47It'll be a little ceiling.
  906. 28:48It will be a tiny step.
  907. 28:50Yeah.
  908. 28:50Mind you.
  909. 28:51Man.
  910. 28:51When he was on the sideline last night.
  911. 28:52Oh.
  912. 28:52He looked.
  913. 28:53Without.
  914. 28:54Yeah.
  915. 28:54No pads.
  916. 28:54He looked tiny.
  917. 28:55Without the pads.
  918. 28:55Yeah.
  919. 28:55That was the water boy.
  920. 28:57He just.
  921. 28:57Because he's a small guy.
  922. 28:59He's.
  923. 28:59Yeah.
  924. 28:59He's just not a.
  925. 29:00Small.
  926. 29:00He's like Kyler.
  927. 29:01The upside case for him.
  928. 29:02Is.
  929. 29:03Drake London.
  930. 29:04They're.
  931. 29:04They're similar players.
  932. 29:05Similar situations.
  933. 29:06Where the target market share.
  934. 29:07Should be enormous.
  935. 29:08And they don't have good quarterbacks.
  936. 29:10You're not expecting a great offense.
  937. 29:11That being said.
  938. 29:12I.
  939. 29:13Can he get to twelve hundred and ten?
  940. 29:14No.
  941. 29:16I mean.
  942. 29:16It doesn't seem like a far cry from last year.
  943. 29:18That would put him in that contention.
  944. 29:20Yeah.
  945. 29:20I think he.
  946. 29:21Could.
  947. 29:21But that would.
  948. 29:22Three more touchdowns.
  949. 29:23150 more yards.
  950. 29:24Ten touchdowns.
  951. 29:26It's Bryce Young.
  952. 29:27Who.
  953. 29:28In his career.
  954. 29:29We're going into year four.
  955. 29:31So as a rookie.
  956. 29:32Just under twenty nine.
  957. 29:33Twenty nine hundred.
  958. 29:34Passing yards.
  959. 29:36At five and a half.
  960. 29:37Yards per attempt.
  961. 29:38The next year.
  962. 29:39Twenty four hundred.
  963. 29:40At six point three.
  964. 29:41This past year.
  965. 29:42His best season.
  966. 29:43Just barely passes.
  967. 29:44Three thousand yards.
  968. 29:45At six point three.
  969. 29:47Yards per attempt.
  970. 29:47And twenty three.
  971. 29:48Passing touchdowns.
  972. 29:50McMillan last year.
  973. 29:51Was twenty five percent.
  974. 29:52Of the targets.
  975. 29:53He has to jump to thirty plus.
  976. 29:56He needs to be a thirty.
  977. 29:57If you're getting twenty five percent.
  978. 29:58Again.
  979. 29:58Of Bryce Young.
  980. 30:00A big jump for Bryce Young.
  981. 30:03With the numbers that he's put up so far.
  982. 30:05It would be thirty five hundred yards.
  983. 30:07Which is.
  984. 30:08Like that's not a.
  985. 30:10That's potentially.
  986. 30:11Fifteen hundred fewer than Burrow.
  987. 30:13With T.
  988. 30:13Higgins.
  989. 30:13Right.
  990. 30:14It.
  991. 30:14But if Bryce Young gets to thirty five hundred.
  992. 30:17And McMillan.
  993. 30:18Makes a jump to thirty percent.
  994. 30:20Which is not impossible.
  995. 30:21Based on the talent of the player.
  996. 30:23Then you'll be happy.
  997. 30:24It's just a.
  998. 30:24A big step has to happen for both players.
  999. 30:28He's a great player.
1000. 30:29But he may be stuck a little bit.
  1001. 30:31Yeah.
  1002. 30:31Um.
  1003. 30:31And.
  1004. 30:32Oh.
  1005. 30:32Bryce Young.
1006. 30:33Thirty fourth in average depth of target.
  1007. 30:34Thirty fourth.
  1008. 30:35And in.
  1009. 30:36Seven games.
1010. 30:37Tett was three or fewer receptions.
  1011. 30:39So if you combine.
  1012. 30:41That kind of.
  1013. 30:42An output.
1014. 30:43At low depth of target.
  1015. 30:44That would be scary.
  1016. 30:44Yeah.
1017. 30:45Xavier Leggett was the other guy.
  1018. 30:46I was thinking that.
1019. 30:46That went down to injury.
  1020. 30:47So I.
  1021. 30:48I agree.
1022. 30:48You need to get to thirty percent.
1023. 30:49We all love the talent of Tett.
  1024. 30:51It's just a question of.
  1025. 30:52Would you rather have.
  1026. 30:53The second wide receiver.
  1027. 30:55For.
  1028. 30:56The Cowboys.
  1029. 30:57For the Bengals.
  1030. 30:57For great offenses.
1031. 30:58That you know there's just going to be so much.
  1032. 31:00Points being scored.
1033. 31:01Or would you rather have the number one.
  1034. 31:02For.
  1035. 31:03An inferior offense.
  1036. 31:05I.
  1037. 31:05I lean the.
  1038. 31:06The great offense side.
  1039. 31:08Like last year.
  1040. 31:08T.
  1041. 31:09Higgins got.
  1042. 31:10You know.
  1043. 31:10The.
  1044. 31:11What was.
  1045. 31:12His final numbers.
  1046. 31:13Fifty nine.
  1047. 31:14For eight hundred.
  1048. 31:14Forty six.
  1049. 31:15And eleven.
  1050. 31:16With a nineteen percent.
  1051. 31:17Target share.
  1052. 31:18Yeah.
  1053. 31:18Just like.
  1054. 31:20Yeah.
  1055. 31:20And then McMillan's at twenty five.
  1056. 31:22Barely passing a thousand.
  1057. 31:23So.
  1058. 31:23Room for T.
1059. 31:25Higgins to be even more involved.
  1060. 31:27Is.
  1061. 31:27Is certainly there.
1062. 31:29Devontae Smith comes in at number eighteen.
1063. 31:33I got him at nineteen.
  1064. 31:34Jason at sixteen.
  1065. 31:35Mike at eighteen.
1066. 31:36So we're all right around the same range.
  1067. 31:37Being drafted.
  1068. 31:38Feels low.
1069. 31:39Being drafted at wide receiver seventeen in the fourth round.
1070. 31:41It's going to keep going up.
  1071. 31:43Is it?
  1072. 31:43Yeah.
  1073. 31:44I think so.
  1074. 31:44If you look at.
1075. 31:44If you look where money is.
1076. 31:46If you look at the big money leagues.
  1077. 31:47If you look at.
  1078. 31:48I assume.
1079. 31:51Underdog and best ball as well.
  1080. 31:53Kyle looked that up.
1081. 31:53But I know like the big money leagues.
  1082. 31:55He's usually.
  1083. 31:56He's going as a top twelve.
  1084. 31:57Yeah.
1085. 31:57He's usually around wide receiver twelve or thirteen.
  1086. 32:00And we've seen it.
1087. 32:01Obviously he's finished as a wide receiver seven before.
  1088. 32:03We've talked a lot about.
  1089. 32:05Oh I was wrong.
  1090. 32:05Wide receiver thirteen.
  1091. 32:07Well okay.
  1092. 32:07Wide receiver.
  1093. 32:07Well that's on underdog.
  1094. 32:08Yeah.
  1095. 32:09So.
1096. 32:11I do think he gets drafted a little higher.
  1097. 32:12This feels.
1098. 32:13I was surprised that my ranking.
1099. 32:15My actual statistical ranking is sixteen.
  1100. 32:18Where did.
  1101. 32:18Where did.
1102. 32:19You said he finished at seven.
1103. 32:20I see him at ten.
  1104. 32:21Oh is that.
  1105. 32:21Sorry.
  1106. 32:22Yeah.
  1107. 32:22Well.
1108. 32:22He's finished as wide receiver ten in twenty twenty two.
  1109. 32:25I mean.
1110. 32:25He feels like an obvious.
  1111. 32:27Easy pick.
  1112. 32:28And a very.
  1113. 32:28This again.
  1114. 32:29Feels like a floor pick.
  1115. 32:31In terms of like.
  1116. 32:32The worst he's going to finish.
1117. 32:34I would say if Makai Lemon wasn't dealing with hamstring injuries again.
  1118. 32:37Maybe Makai Lemon.
1119. 32:38Excitement heading towards the season.
1120. 32:39Could keep his ADP in place.
  1121. 32:42I think that the.
  1122. 32:43The trouble is.
1123. 32:44Is that in this top twenty range.
1124. 32:46There are a lot of names that are kind of exciting.
1125. 32:49And we've been around the block with Devontae Smith a little bit.
1126. 32:52There's pessimism around the offense.
1127. 32:53I'm just trying to think of narratives that could keep him lower.
1128. 32:56But to me it seems like one of those things where you.
  1129. 32:58You might.
1130. 32:59If you pass on him here.
1131. 33:01Or you pass on him even a little bit higher.
1132. 33:03You may just really really regret it.
1133. 33:05Because it might be really obvious about six weeks into the year.
1134. 33:07That this guy is a bona fide wide receiver one in fantasy.
1135. 33:10I think it is worth.
1136. 33:11And they're favored in the four of their first six.
  1137. 33:14Yeah.
1138. 33:14I think it's worth saying Devontae Smith.
  1139. 33:17Because he's.
1140. 33:18He has been a wide receiver two in the NFL for his own team.
  1141. 33:22But.
  1142. 33:23Devontae Smith is.
  1143. 33:25Fully one hundred percent.
1144. 33:28Without question in my mind.
1145. 33:30Capable of being an alpha wide receiver one.
  1146. 33:32For an NFL team.
  1147. 33:33He is.
  1148. 33:34An elite wide receiver.
1149. 33:36He came in as one of the best prospects ever.
  1150. 33:39If he was just.
1151. 33:40If he weighed a few more pounds.
  1152. 33:42You know.
  1153. 33:42Sure.
1154. 33:42He was a little too light coming into the NFL.
1155. 33:44But when he came in.
  1156. 33:46He was.
1157. 33:47One of the best prospects.
  1158. 33:49Statistically.
  1159. 33:49He just was.
1160. 33:51One hundred and seventy pounds.
  1161. 33:52You don't.
  1162. 33:53That doesn't usually work.
  1163. 33:55But he is.
  1164. 33:55So good.
1165. 33:56As an actual wide receiver.
  1166. 33:57That he's overcome that.
  1167. 33:58And I don't think that there's any fear there.
  1168. 34:01Personally.
1169. 34:01With whether he can step.
1170. 34:03From the wide receiver two role.
1171. 34:04To the wide receiver one.
1172. 34:04The Eagles have done a really good job.
  1173. 34:06Of just taking people.
1174. 34:07Other teams have talked themselves out of.
  1175. 34:08For dumb reasons.
  1176. 34:10With.
  1177. 34:11Jalen Carter.
  1178. 34:12Now.
1179. 34:12The highest paid defensive player.
  1180. 34:14In football or whatever.
  1181. 34:15And.
  1182. 34:15And Devontae Smith.
  1183. 34:16They just get.
  1184. 34:17The Heisman winner.
  1185. 34:18You know.
  1186. 34:19I mean.
1187. 34:19They took him with the tenth pick overall.
  1188. 34:21It's been.
  1189. 34:22Been a minute.
  1190. 34:22But.
  1191. 34:23Yeah.
  1192. 34:23And the smaller.
  1193. 34:24The smaller wide receiver.
1194. 34:25Archetype has been working more and more.
  1195. 34:27Speaking of which.
  1196. 34:27Number seventeen.
  1197. 34:29Zay Flowers.
  1198. 34:31Zay Flowers.
  1199. 34:32At seventeen.
  1200. 34:33What is happening?
1201. 34:34I knew you were going to.
  1202. 34:35What is happening?
1203. 34:36I was really hoping you didn't see that.
  1204. 34:38Stop copying me.
  1205. 34:40Oh man.
  1206. 34:41What is happening?
  1207. 34:41Dude.
  1208. 34:41I didn't know that I was.
1209. 34:42I'm out of here dude.
  1210. 34:44Mike hates Zay Flowers.
1211. 34:46Why do you hate Zay Flowers?
1212. 34:47You're the lowest amongst us.
1213. 34:49You have him as wide receiver twenty.
  1214. 34:51Ouch.
1215. 34:52We've got him higher than that.
1216. 34:53What are you doing here Mike?
  1217. 34:54I thought you.
  1218. 34:55I thought you were a fan.
1219. 34:56I thought he thought Zay was like a good player.
1220. 34:58You guys saw what happened last year for my rankings.
  1221. 35:01And you're like.
  1222. 35:01I need.
  1223. 35:02I need in on Mike's advice.
  1224. 35:04Last year's wide receiver seven.
  1225. 35:06Gosh darn it.
1226. 35:06I'm moving him up right now.
1227. 35:08I'm just throwing numbers in.
  1228. 35:10Got that bag.
  1229. 35:11I don't even care if I believe him.
  1230. 35:12One oh four guaranteed.
1231. 35:14Zay Flowers comes in at seventeen.
1232. 35:17Have you guys been reading about like Lamar's relationship with Harbaugh and Monkin and stuff
  1233. 35:25like that?
  1234. 35:26It's very.
  1235. 35:27There we go.
  1236. 35:27Wide receiver fourteen.
  1237. 35:28Okay.
  1238. 35:29Okay.
  1239. 35:29Okay.
  1240. 35:29Well that happened quick.
  1241. 35:31I gave him a touchdown.
  1242. 35:33Okay.
1243. 35:34Which is a big deal for him.
1244. 35:37He's not really known for getting those.
1245. 35:39I'm not out of control.
1246. 35:40I have him at a projection of six point seven.
1247. 35:45Well he's only at fourteen over the last three years.
1248. 35:47And you've heard my bear case on Zay Flowers before.
1249. 35:51There are lots of games.
1250. 35:52And this is kind of a Baltimore thing.
  1251. 35:53Yeah.
1252. 35:54You put that bear to hibernation.
1253. 35:56Get out of the way.
1254. 35:57There are a lot of games where they've not needed him.
1255. 36:01I mean this has been part of the career of Zay Flowers.
1256. 36:03For whatever reason there are games that Zay Flowers looks dominant.
1257. 36:07And then there are games where I mean you had games last year.
  1258. 36:10Two for thirteen.
  1259. 36:12Okay.
1260. 36:13That's the wide receiver eighty nine.
1261. 36:15Two for six on ninety five percent of snaps.
1262. 36:18Like so there's some elements to the game for Zay Flowers where he's just at times disappeared
  1263. 36:24over the years.
1264. 36:25Same thing happened the year before.
1265. 36:26And it was really frustrating because you basically ping pong between disappearing acts.
  1266. 36:31Three points.
  1267. 36:31One point.
  1268. 36:32Fifteen.
  1269. 36:32Seventeen.
  1270. 36:33Three points.
  1271. 36:34Fifteen.
  1272. 36:34Twenty-seven.
  1273. 36:35Five points.
1274. 36:36It's not been as consistent for Zay Flowers as other players.
1275. 36:39But last year it was a step up in his points per game.
1276. 36:42He played all seventeen games.
  1277. 36:43He's been very healthy.
  1278. 36:45Something you can't say about T. Higgins.
1279. 36:48I do have my questions about.
  1280. 36:50I feel like Lamar.
1281. 36:51The Lamar situation is basically does he gel with the head coach and the offensive coordinator?
1282. 36:56And it seems like it's been hard for certain people to connect with him and get him motivated.
1283. 37:01The reports right now are that he is.
1284. 37:03But that was lost at times with Harbaugh.
  1285. 37:06Yeah.
1286. 37:06This was the undersized wide receiver that I remembered finished as wide receiver seven,
  1287. 37:11which was last year.
  1288. 37:11Right.
  1289. 37:13Flowers.
1290. 37:13One of the stickiest, most predictive stats at wide receiver for future success is simply target share.
  1291. 37:20Yep.
1292. 37:20That actually sticks around and has a high correlation with being good the following season.
1293. 37:27His target share in his career has gone up each of his three seasons.
  1294. 37:31Started at a very healthy 24, then 25 last year, 29%.
1295. 37:35What about the $104 million they gave him this offseason?
1296. 37:38What does that say to his target share?
  1297. 37:40It's amazing.
1298. 37:41If Zay Flowers was a guy who was used around the red zone and was a touchdown threat,
1299. 37:49this would be a guy easily in the second round of fantasy drafts because you know he's on a good offense.
1300. 37:55He's the clear-cut one with a high enough target share.
1301. 37:57The touchdowns are really, really holding him back.
  1302. 38:01Now, you don't project.
  1303. 38:02I mean, Mike does.
  1304. 38:03Mike projects, you know, 6.7 touchdowns.
  1305. 38:05Might be a record.
  1306. 38:06You don't.
1307. 38:07That would be his record, I'm sure.
1308. 38:08Without looking that up, I'm positive that would be his record.
1309. 38:11You don't project him to have a ton of touchdowns.
1310. 38:13And I think, could he have an outlier season?
  1311. 38:16Sure.
1312. 38:16But that would be low odds.
1313. 38:18However, this is an archetype that is usually a really good fantasy football odds bet.
1314. 38:25Bet on a guy whose target volume is great on a great offense and touchdowns.
  1315. 38:33It's only gone up.
  1316. 38:34Touchdowns, they bounce around.
1317. 38:37If he ends up with seven touchdowns next year, he'll be probably a wide receiver of one.
  1318. 38:44And he's being drafted pretty late.
  1319. 38:46So I like taking a shot on Zay.
1320. 38:48Zay Flowers, number one, the talent, he's awesome.
  1321. 38:52This is a new offense.
1322. 38:53So I think that that's what provides some excitement of, we can look back historically
1323. 39:01over the first three years, five, four, and five touchdowns.
  1324. 39:04This is different.
1325. 39:05You know, there is an opportunity.
1326. 39:08There's a chance that Zay Flowers scores more touchdowns.
  1327. 39:11And this is like.
  1328. 39:12Not when Jacoby Lane's taking him.
  1329. 39:13This is a stretch.
1330. 39:16A stretch, but it's just to prove my point.
1331. 39:19Remember when Trey McBride couldn't catch touchdowns?
  1332. 39:22Yep.
  1333. 39:23Three touchdowns.
  1334. 39:24Remember when Kittle couldn't?
  1335. 39:25Sophomore year.
  1336. 39:25Two touchdowns.
  1337. 39:27The year after that, 11.
1338. 39:29I'm not saying 11 touchdowns are coming for Zay Flowers, but it's when a variable changes,
1339. 39:36which one changed for Trey McBride last year.
  1340. 39:38Jacoby came in.
1341. 39:39This is a different offense for Lamar.
  1342. 39:42He's just a little.
  1343. 39:44He's just a little guy.
1344. 39:45Yeah, but he plays big.
  1345. 39:48All right.
  1346. 39:49Jalen Waddle comes in at 16.
1347. 39:50We've talked extensively about Waddle recently.
1348. 39:52He was on the Monday episode.
  1349. 39:55He was Mike's fire pick.
1350. 39:56It is, you know, it's hard for me to be fully bought in on Jalen Waddle as much as I'd like
1351. 40:02to be simply because it's been a struggle fantasy wise over the last three seasons for
  1352. 40:08Jalen Waddle.
1353. 40:09I don't think on a per play basis when you're watching him, you're like, oh, that guy doesn't
1354. 40:12have the same, you know, juice, the same wiggle.
1355. 40:15But the fantasy production has been slowed and it's not like we didn't have confidence
1356. 40:19in his offensive coordinator the last three years.
1357. 40:21So part of it's been slowed by his injury situation, which is daily.
1358. 40:25Yeah, I was just saying, it's not a great thing that when we bring him up on the show,
  1359. 40:28he's already hurt.
1360. 40:30It's not a great thing that the only way that you give good numbers for Jalen Waddle is to
1361. 40:34be like when he was healthy and when Tua was healthy and when this happens and that happens.
1362. 40:40When everything goes right, things are good.
  1363. 40:42But I am excited about.
  1364. 40:43That's not everything.
  1365. 40:44Just health.
  1366. 40:46I don't know.
1367. 40:47The health bet is tough.
  1368. 40:49Yeah, but yeah.
  1369. 40:50Yeah.
  1370. 40:50Okay.
1371. 40:50I mean, the points per game, his first and second season were his best and we're three more
  1372. 40:54years removed from it.
  1373. 40:55So it's a little bit of caution.
1374. 40:57But look, we got him at 16 for a reason.
  1375. 40:58Well, Mike's got him lowest.
1376. 40:59Yeah, Mike does have him lowest.
  1377. 41:01What is happening?
  1378. 41:02I don't know, man.
1379. 41:03You know you control your rankings.
  1380. 41:04Who do I have ranked high?
1381. 41:05You know who you should talk to?
1382. 41:06You sound like the head coach.
1383. 41:08It's like, I've got to get the ball to my running back more.
1384. 41:10And you always yell at them like, you know you are the one that-
1385. 41:13We're all trying to figure out who did this.
1386. 41:15I am trying to figure out.
1387. 41:16You're in a hot dog suit right now, my man.
  1388. 41:18That's fine.
  1389. 41:18I'm delicious.
1390. 41:19I'm trying to figure out what other weird names he's got so much higher than these guys
1391. 41:24that me and you obviously like.
  1392. 41:26Yeah.
1393. 41:26Wait till the next episode.
1394. 41:28The top 10 is going to be wild.
1395. 41:29He's going to be crazy.
  1396. 41:31Jack Besh.
1397. 41:34No, but look, Waddle, we talked a lot about him on Monday.
1398. 41:37You know the story on Waddle, but we got him at 16.
1399. 41:39We'll take a break and we'll come back with the next five names.
  1400. 41:49No one's in my top 20.
1401. 41:52There's just no one there.
  1402. 41:54I start at 14.
1403. 41:56Emeka Abuka is at 15 and unsurprisingly, Mike is the lowest on Emeka Abuka.
  1404. 42:01Now when I stand by it.
  1405. 42:02I've got him at 11.
  1406. 42:03So that's where I'm definitely-
  1407. 42:06Bullish.
  1408. 42:06Yeah.
1409. 42:07I mean, on the Monday episode, it was Abuka as the fire pick.
1410. 42:09So Mike's fire pick, Jan Lwaddle, my fire pick, Emeka Abuka.
1411. 42:13I just think this offense is going to run through him.
  1412. 42:16He's playing the Z position.
  1413. 42:17I love Baker.
1414. 42:18I love the line situation.
1415. 42:20And I don't, you know, I just don't see anybody that's going to take away his target share.
1416. 42:26There's a bunch of ancillary players that are talented.
1417. 42:30Godwin at this juncture of his career, talented possession receiver.
1418. 42:34McMillan, you know, Tess Johnson, Ted Hurst, are all-
  1419. 42:40Whoa.
  1420. 42:41They're all talented.
1421. 42:42But it's going to be the Abuka offense.
1422. 42:44Stealing my bits and my ranks?
1423. 42:45You have no one ranked in your top 50.
  1424. 42:49No, I love Abuka.
1425. 42:50I made the case on Monday.
1426. 42:51So maybe, maybe Jason, where are you at?
1427. 42:53Because you're kind of between our rankings.
1428. 42:55I am a believer in the talent.
1429. 42:57He was a my guy going into last year.
1430. 42:59The departure of Mike Evans in the offseason versus an injury in season allows them to put Abuka where he's going to succeed.
1431. 43:10The offensive line injuries, although I did see Tristan Wirfs was injured right now, which is like, that is a really big deal for this offense.
  1432. 43:17This, this is a great player.
1433. 43:20I think the offense should be good.
1434. 43:22The injuries to him and Baker last year, you know, you had a tale of two halves.
1435. 43:27And which half is the truth?
1436. 43:28I think both had some truth, but he's good.
1437. 43:32So I, I mean, I've got him right in the middle at wide receiver 15.
1438. 43:36I, I think that's right where he'll finish as a high end wide receiver two.
1439. 43:41The question's just going to be draft price.
1440. 43:43Are you paying that or not?
1441. 43:46Currently, it looks like he's being drafted as wide receiver 19.
  1442. 43:48So I'm, I'm in on taking the shot.
  1443. 43:51Yeah, the, I don't have a problem with it.
1444. 43:53Like the upside is tremendous.
1445. 43:55I do think Godwin has more left in the tank.
  1446. 43:59I, you're speaking of ranks.
1447. 44:01Cause I have Godwin ranked much higher than you guys.
1448. 44:03He's not a top 20 type of player, but I'm just, I'm not a hundred percent sure that it's
1449. 44:09like the Abuka takeover is what the outcome of this year is for the bucks.
1450. 44:15At number 14, it is the tried and true Garrett Wilson points per game in his career.
  1451. 44:2310.2, 9.7, 11.8, 11.6.
1452. 44:26Kind of always just, he just always is there when the team has the capability of getting
  1453. 44:32him the football.
  1454. 44:34He's been a target share machine averaging 28%.
1455. 44:38You know, what could go wrong for Garrett Wilson?
  1456. 44:40Oh, so wrong.
1457. 44:42I mean, he's 26 years old at this point.
1458. 44:44Geno Smith is, is throwing him the football.
1459. 44:47And for it, it is difficult to remember.
1460. 44:51Garrett Wilson was dominating for fantasy football last year.
1461. 44:57It was before he was injured.
1462. 44:58He was the wide receiver five.
1463. 44:59It was a little like there was some, some garbage time stinkiness built into it, but it
1464. 45:04was just, this is a reminder of, of how good he can be.
1465. 45:07And it wasn't like he was, he ran hot with, with touchdowns, but he was also, uh, you know,
1466. 45:13in, in his, so he was pretty much healthy for five weeks, but in those weeks he was averaging
1467. 45:19over 76 receiving yards per game, almost 10 targets in that time.
1468. 45:23So he just, he is a, a truly elite player.
  1469. 45:27Geno Smith.
1470. 45:27Can he score double digit touchdowns in New York, Mike?
  1471. 45:29Can he?
  1472. 45:31Um, no.
  1473. 45:33Four, three, seven, four.
1474. 45:35Obviously missed a bunch of time last year.
  1475. 45:38That's a big question for top 10 potential.
1476. 45:40I think he can get to 10.
1477. 45:43He's good around the goal line.
1478. 45:45And if, I mean, it's not, it's not impossible that he gets 10, but it's not probable.
1479. 45:5011 total red zone touchdowns in four years.
  1480. 45:51Yeah.
  1481. 45:52That's.
1482. 45:53But the nice thing is the team environment is, is significantly different.
1483. 45:59I want to remind people last year, this version, last year's version of the jets through as
1484. 46:06a team for 2,385 yards, which is unimaginably bad.
1485. 46:14They've made significant improvements to the offensive line.
1486. 46:18They got a passing quarterback instead of a mobile quarterback in for this season.
1487. 46:23And, you know, Garrett Wilson is healthy.
1488. 46:25I am, uh, for, for where you're being, where he's being drafted, I'm all in.
1489. 46:28I think this is a guy who's guaranteed at least 140 targets, but he could end up with 170
  1490. 46:33targets.
  1491. 46:34Psst.
  1492. 46:35Yeah.
1493. 46:35Mike's the lowest on him.
  1494. 46:37Yeah.
  1495. 46:37This is incredible.
1496. 46:38I, how can he be the lowest on all the players?
  1497. 46:40I don't know.
  1498. 46:41It makes no sense.
  1499. 46:42I don't know.
1500. 46:42I'm looking at our, are the full rankings where it's the three of us.
  1501. 46:46All right.
  1502. 46:46We finally have one.
1503. 46:47I want to find out that Kyle's just goofing.
  1504. 46:49No.
1505. 46:50I mean, look, we finally have someone he's higher on.
1506. 46:53I'm the lowest on this guy.
  1507. 46:54Number 13, Rashi Rice.
  1508. 46:57Mike.
  1509. 46:57I'm in the middle.
  1510. 46:58I'm at a lot.
  1511. 46:59Yeah.
  1512. 46:59He has them at 13.
  1513. 47:00Jason at 11.
  1514. 47:00I'm at 16.
  1515. 47:01I am.
1516. 47:02We talked about this briefly.
  1517. 47:03I think yesterday I am.
1518. 47:05I am cooling a little bit on Rashi Rice.
  1519. 47:08I don't think he's a guaranteed wide receiver one.
1520. 47:12I do think he's a pretty guaranteed wide receiver two, but this is one of the offenses.
  1521. 47:17We talked about this.
1522. 47:18The Giants scored seven more touchdowns in this team last year.
1523. 47:21And there were a lot of third down saves with Patrick Mahomes running the football.
1524. 47:26Now I've seen design runs in camp already.
  1525. 47:28From Patrick Mahomes.
1526. 47:28He is seven months removed from that injury and looks fine.
1527. 47:33But at the same time, you do need to manage that.
1528. 47:36It's different when the people are actually hitting you.
1529. 47:40When you can take a shot to the knee.
  1530. 47:43Yeah.
1531. 47:43I mean, so I've got him the highest at 11.
1532. 47:46Obviously, on a points per game basis, he's way better than that in his career.
1533. 47:50Through three years in the NFL, he's been targeted on 30% of his routes.
1534. 47:55So only Puka and Malik neighbors are higher than that.
1535. 47:58This is like the first read, the design play, the get the ball in the hands, yards after catch guy who has always been good.
1536. 48:06I did move him down recently to 11.
1537. 48:08He was higher than that.
1538. 48:09I just moved him down too.
1539. 48:11Solely because of I'm a little worried with the ramp up from the knee injury.
1540. 48:15Some of the videos look like he's not.
1541. 48:17He doesn't have that burst back yet.
  1542. 48:19But we've got another month.
1543. 48:21And it's hard to rehab in jail.
  1544. 48:24So I imagine.
  1545. 48:25Haven't been there.
1546. 48:25You said that like a man who knows what he's talking about.
  1547. 48:28I apologize.
1548. 48:29For full clarity, I have not yet been to jail.
1549. 48:32What about rehabbed in jail?
  1550. 48:34I promise.
  1551. 48:35Should I go to jail?
  1552. 48:36I will not rehab.
1553. 48:37What about that as like a cool like gym idea?
  1554. 48:40Like it's like the prison gym.
  1555. 48:42Oh, it's the prison gym.
  1556. 48:43But it's not like actual.
  1557. 48:43The prison yard.
1558. 48:44Yeah, the prison yard is the name of it.
  1559. 48:46Nice.
1560. 48:46And like you got to like.
1561. 48:47A lot of times people come out of prison jacked.
  1562. 48:49Right.
  1563. 48:49So maybe that's a good branding.
  1564. 48:51So that's like just in a parking lot.
  1565. 48:52Right.
  1566. 48:53And there's like.
  1567. 48:54Oh, there's a chain link fence?
  1568. 48:55Yeah, yeah, yeah.
  1569. 48:55And it's all outdoors?
  1570. 48:56Yeah, well.
  1571. 48:56It's like muscle beach.
1572. 48:57You got to lean into the bit.
  1573. 48:59Yeah.
1574. 49:00You like burn out there.
  1575. 49:01And then like people.
1576. 49:02And they don't let you out until you lose weight.
  1577. 49:03Right.
1578. 49:04And then they just punch you in the face as you're leaving.
1579. 49:06Like lose 20 pounds or you stay.
  1580. 49:07Yeah.
1581. 49:08And every like 15th time there, someone gets jumped.
  1582. 49:12Shanked.
  1583. 49:13Someone gets jumped.
1584. 49:14So you got to be in shape.
1585. 49:15You got to be in shape.
1586. 49:16So just pretty much all the tenants in prison.
  1587. 49:18Yeah, yeah.
  1588. 49:19And then you can't.
  1589. 49:20And they don't let you leave.
  1590. 49:21But you pay.
1591. 49:21You pay monthly to be there.
  1592. 49:23Yeah.
  1593. 49:25Yeah.
  1594. 49:25In cigarettes.
1595. 49:26Try getting out of that subscription.
  1596. 49:29Impossible.
  1597. 49:30Impossible.
  1598. 49:32Okay.
  1599. 49:33So moving on.
1600. 49:34If he's healthy, which we'll have better clarity as we get closer to the season, it is worth
1601. 49:39remembering how good he has been on the field for fantasy football.
  1602. 49:43He's been a dominator.
1603. 49:44Even though it is a product of a system, you know, he's not just your prototypical great
  1604. 49:51Justin Jefferson.
1605. 49:52What an amazing wide receiver.
  1606. 49:54Yeah.
1607. 49:54I mean, it's been great for fantasy.
  1608. 49:56Yeah.
1609. 49:56The wild thing is, it's like, I know Cyrus Allen is getting like a week and a half of
  1610. 50:02pub as a rookie.
  1611. 50:03Yeah.
1612. 50:04But the thing about the Chiefs is that the reason that that can stick a little bit is
1613. 50:07you look at the receiver room and you're like, put these guys in order.
  1614. 50:11Like Rashi's obviously at the top.
  1615. 50:13Then you're talking.
  1616. 50:14Is it Thornton?
  1617. 50:15Right.
1618. 50:15Or there's room for a player like Cyrus Allen to come in and have an impact if your tight
1619. 50:21end is 37 and your starting wide receiver is coming out of jail slash injury.
  1620. 50:26There is room.
1621. 50:27And so if Rashi is healthy, there should be target share.
1622. 50:30They really are going in on Mahomes.
1623. 50:34Like they, like all the, all the improvements of the team were just, we're like, we're going
1624. 50:40to make our defense the best our defense can possibly be.
1625. 50:43Like, well, what about an offensive weapon?
  1626. 50:45Candace Walker, baby.
  1627. 50:46Yeah.
1628. 50:47Look, I'm sure I'm higher than you on him.
  1629. 50:49That's all I know.
  1630. 50:51That is not possible.
  1631. 50:52Oh, we're checking that.
  1632. 50:53We're checking that.
  1633. 50:53There is no way.
  1634. 50:55I'm pretty sure.
1635. 50:56I have him at two.
  1636. 50:57No, I'm just kidding.
  1637. 50:58You win.
  1638. 50:59You win.
1639. 50:59I got him at eight, Mike.
1640. 51:01Where do you have him?
1641. 51:01You got to have him.
  1642. 51:01Six.
  1643. 51:02Okay.
  1644. 51:02We did it.
  1645. 51:03Malik neighbors at 12.
1646. 51:04I was going to say I'll eat my hat, but then I got worried about eating my hat.
  1647. 51:07Right.
  1648. 51:07You might've had to.
1649. 51:09Malik neighbors, Mike, you're the highest on Malik neighbors.
  1650. 51:11Yeah.
  1651. 51:12Yeah.
  1652. 51:12There we go.
1653. 51:13I am not as convinced as you.
1654. 51:15The man coming off a destroyed knee.
1655. 51:17I feel like we spent months and months and months talking about how it might be a slow
  1656. 51:20start for Malik neighbors.
1657. 51:21And then you guys saw like one route and both jacked them up your rankings.
1658. 51:24I am slower to come around on Malik neighbors because I think, you know, these rankings are based
  1659. 51:30on total season stats.
1660. 51:32The reports out of giants camp is the offense has not looked good.
1661. 51:36We did get a report this morning.
1662. 51:38Maybe worth mentioning Malachi fields, maybe in play for the wide receiver two spot, but
1663. 51:43you know, this is, this is going to be an offense where Jackson dart is going to have to adjust
1664. 51:48to being under center more.
1665. 51:49Uh, I don't know if it's going to play to his strengths as much, but I'm also the lowest,
1666. 51:54I think on Jackson dart of the three of us.
1667. 51:56So we all know the potential of Malik neighbors is Jamar chase levels.
1668. 52:01So you guys might think 11 and 12 is tempering your expectations.
  1669. 52:04It is.
  1670. 52:05It very much is.
1671. 52:06I think he gets off to a slow start statistically.
1672. 52:09Thankfully, the matchups in the beginning of the year, three of his first four weeks is
  1673. 52:13Dallas, Tennessee, and Arizona.
1674. 52:15So, you know, you might be able to just find a broken piece of coverage and house something
1675. 52:20while you're, while you're trying to get to your true explosive self.
1676. 52:24Uh, but yeah, I mean, this is a guy where I think if he wasn't coming off of an ACL,
1677. 52:29he'd be top five, you'd be picking him at the top five.
  1678. 52:33Easily a first round wide receiver.
  1679. 52:34Yeah.
1680. 52:35So just a couple of guys that like Matt Nagy over here.
1681. 52:37That is my, so I love Kyle.
1682. 52:40Kyle is saying that even the beat reporters are poo pooing Matt Nagy.
  1683. 52:44The Giants offensive reports.
  1684. 52:45They should.
  1685. 52:45I wonder why.
  1686. 52:47He sucks.
1687. 52:48I, I want to be so in on Jackson Dart.
1688. 52:51I want to like, like, you are moving.
1689. 52:55Matt Nagy is the reason.
  1690. 52:56If it isn't Cliff Kingsbury.
  1691. 52:57Oh, dude.
1692. 52:58Matt Nagy is, he, he is not good at his very high paying job.
  1693. 53:05Well, don't worry.
1694. 53:06Jackson Dart and the Giants offense has scuffled early, but John Harbaugh isn't worried.
  1695. 53:11Okay.
1696. 53:11And he's because of the speeches he's going to give to get him motivated.
1697. 53:15And he, the Harbaugh's are having a tough off season, by the way, between the, with
1698. 53:20the talking, with the talking, with the mouths between the uninspiring speech by John and the
  1699. 53:26incompetent answer.
  1700. 53:29It's not incompetent.
1701. 53:30It was, it was, I left my, like my phone flashlight on.
  1702. 53:35I don't know where I am.
  1703. 53:37It was a full brain reset.
1704. 53:40You know, if you haven't seen it, look for the clip between him and, um.
  1705. 53:44Colin Cowherd.
  1706. 53:45Colin Cowherd.
1707. 53:45Did you hear like the windows sound?
1708. 53:47Yeah, it was, it was.
  1709. 53:48Do, do, do.
  1710. 53:50Ba, brunk.
  1711. 53:51Yeah, for sure.
1712. 53:52It was like, in the middle of talking about how things evolve.
  1713. 53:55That's pretty good.
  1714. 53:56That's pretty good, Jay.
1715. 53:56He's like, how things evolve.
  1716. 53:59Evolvement?
  1717. 54:00Is evolve a word?
  1718. 54:01Is evolvement a word?
1719. 54:01Hey, we, we, we were there with the word mini.
  1720. 54:05Colin Cowherd's face was so funny.
1721. 54:07Yeah, he didn't know what to do.
  1722. 54:08But anyways.
  1723. 54:09I love.
  1724. 54:09Matt Nagy sucks.
1725. 54:10Let's not bury the lead here.
1726. 54:11Matt Nagy is the worst.
1727. 54:11I just love you are exactly where I was like a couple months ago of just in the anger stage.
1728. 54:18It's so infuriating that he gets a job.
1729. 54:21Because I was so, my chips were all in on, on dart and, and the offense of the Giants.
1730. 54:27And then they bring Matt Nagy in and it really, it brings it down.
1731. 54:31Season from Lamar in a while last year, even in his healthy games under Harbaugh with an
  1732. 54:37offensive coordinator we like.
  1733. 54:39I, I do, I do have my fears.
1734. 54:41I, this is a, this is a tough division to play in.
1735. 54:44Um, I know that they're the surprise team everybody wants to believe in.
1736. 54:49I just think I want my eyeballs to see it a little bit.
1737. 54:52And I, there's so many great wide receivers to take.
  1738. 54:54Sure.
1739. 54:54Like the reason Jason traded from elite neighbors in league of record wasn't for this year.
1740. 54:58Now maybe he gets this year, but I think we're, there are a couple of teams that I think
  1741. 55:03are a year out.
1742. 55:03I'm, I'm, I'm in that camp with the saints.
1743. 55:05You guys are all in this year.
  1744. 55:06I think I'm a year away from that.
1745. 55:08I'm a year away from the Giants being that team.
  1746. 55:10Cause they'll have a new OC.
1747. 55:12I think they will have a new, which means that they will struggle this year.
1748. 55:15If, if the thing for neighbors that I'm okay with is the price is right now on sleeper.
1749. 55:23He's going in the beginning of the fourth.
1750. 55:25We did our mock draft.
  1751. 55:26It's just, it's just not a true thing.
1752. 55:28Well, we did our mock draft yesterday and I got him halfway through the third.
1753. 55:33And it's, if you, if you know that Malik neighbors is a target, you know, I, I started running
  1754. 55:39back, running back.
1755. 55:40So I, I knew that that was taken care of and then I can take Malik neighbors and I can have
1756. 55:45enough guys at the wide receiver position to overcome and, and let it happen.
1757. 55:50Let it, you know, maybe you don't even play Malik neighbors week one.
1758. 55:53That sounds crazy for a third or fourth round pick.
1759. 55:56But I think that over the course of the second half of the year, if you can tread the water,
1760. 56:02then, then things become great.
1761. 56:05Like most people are like, you know what I'm going to do with Malik?
1762. 56:08I'm going to let someone else draft him.
1763. 56:10And then when they're really struggling, I'm going to go trade for neighbors there.
1764. 56:14I'm sure there's plenty of leagues that will work in, but I think there's also plenty of
  1765. 56:18leagues that you'll get Malik.
1766. 56:21And then by the end of the year, you have a first round talent, a fantasy football pick
1767. 56:28that really takes your team to the next level.
  1768. 56:31Chris Olave at 11.
1769. 56:32The last name we're going to talk about today, guys got paid this off season.
1770. 56:36Jordan Tyson, Tyler Shuck, Travis H and junior, Juwan Johnson and company, Kellen Moore trying
1771. 56:43to get this offense on track after a disappointing year that saw a mix of Spencer Rattler and Tyler
1772. 56:49Shuck on the back half of it.
1773. 56:50But throughout the entirety of the year, Chris Olave was a monster.
1774. 56:54And, and talk about, you know, the flowers touchdowns.
1775. 56:58Here's touchdowns for Chris Olave.
  1776. 56:59Four, five, one.
1777. 57:02Yeah, but you don't have Lamar throwing it to him for those.
1778. 57:06But I'm saying like touchdowns, like, but I said, the thing with, with, with Lamar is
1779. 57:11the variable was the offense change and McBride was the quarterback change.
1780. 57:14A, a one change comes in and you're like, oh, that player is a thousand yard receiver.
1781. 57:20He should have more touchdowns.
1782. 57:21And Chris Olave got him last year.
1783. 57:23Well, let me ask you this real quick.
1784. 57:25Cause we talked about these guys, same draft class, same age.
1785. 57:29Olave, Garrett Wilson and dynasty.
1786. 57:30Where are you with that question?
  1787. 57:32I, oh man, that's really tough.
1788. 57:35I think I'm on the Garrett Wilson side solely and only again.
1789. 57:39It is the concussion thing.
1790. 57:41I'm all the way on the Olave side now.
1791. 57:43I think Olave is a better player.
1792. 57:45I think the quarterback is a better player.
1793. 57:46It's again, it is just the concussion worry for me as someone who's had them on my roster
1794. 57:50and felt at times like you had concussions.
  1795. 57:54Oh, for sure.
  1796. 57:55Yeah, for sure.
  1797. 57:56In my past.
1798. 57:57Falling, falling off of the swing set.
  1799. 57:59Just falling down.
  1800. 58:00Monkey bars maybe?
  1801. 58:00Dude, I crush monkey bars.
1802. 58:02Don't you worry about that.
1803. 58:03Oh, you don't want me to bring that up, Mike?
  1804. 58:04Oh, you can.
1805. 58:05I want to know what the public thinks.
1806. 58:06You can bring it up.
1807. 58:07I want you to post a poll right now.
1808. 58:09We have more producers in the office though.
1809. 58:11We can talk to him.
1810. 58:12I'll post a poll, but I think I could do monkey bars from one side to the other.
  1811. 58:17No problem.
1812. 58:18I can swing across a monkey bar set and be done.
1813. 58:20Al, are you confident in your monkey bar capabilities?
1814. 58:23I'm confident that I could not do that.
  1815. 58:24Okay.
  1816. 58:25I don't understand.
  1817. 58:26So Al realizes he can't.
  1818. 58:28This has been a debate.
1819. 58:30This is a man who's been humbled by the monkey bars.
  1820. 58:33Jason is so confident.
1821. 58:35You're as confident in the monkey bars as landing a 747.
1822. 58:39Yeah, with someone in my ear, but yes, I could do either.
1823. 58:42We can even do radio in the ear on the monkey bars.
1824. 58:45You won't be able to do it.
1825. 58:45Now swing to the left.
1826. 58:49It's not just upper body.
  1827. 58:51It's also grip strength.
1828. 58:52Matt, you are the size of a child.
  1829. 58:53Of course they're easy for you.
  1830. 58:55You're in your 20s.
1831. 58:55When's the last time you did monkey bars, Matt?
  1832. 58:57Matt, I think it's been a while, but I'm pretty confident I could do them.
1833. 59:01Well, Josh, what do you think about that?
1834. 59:03I think Matt could probably do it.
  1835. 59:05Jason, no way.
  1836. 59:07You're right.
  1837. 59:08There is no way I couldn't do it.
  1838. 59:11You are correct.
  1839. 59:11No way I could not.
1840. 59:12There are different challenges we can put on the internet, and this is one of them.
  1841. 59:16Yeah, well, I'd crush them.
  1842. 59:19Anyways, back to Olave.
  1843. 59:20Maybe, like physically.
1844. 59:22I just pull them down.
1845. 59:30I get on the monkey bars.
1846. 59:31They just start sinking into the sand.
1847. 59:33Is this quicksand or what?
1848. 59:35You're just standing like, this is so easy.
1849. 59:39Yeah, just walking across the sand.
1850. 59:40What did you write down on your board there?
1851. 59:42Okay, what I wrote down was, so Olave had a great season.
1852. 59:45Olave finished as the wide receiver six on the course of the season,
1853. 59:49and he was good both with Rattler and with Shuck.
1854. 59:52However, he was significantly better with Shuck.
  1855. 59:56Here's the splits.
1856. 59:57With Rattler, he was on pace for 110 receptions, 1,000 yards, and six touchdowns.
  1857. 1:00:02That's good.
  1858. 1:00:03That's pretty darn good.
  1859. 1:00:04That's normal Chris Olave.
  1860. 1:00:05That's 11.5 fantasy points.
1861. 1:00:06But once he got Shuck, and keep in mind, this was rookie Shuck who started slow.
1862. 1:00:10The course of all of the starts with Shuck, he would have had a 17-game pace of 102 receptions,
  1863. 1:00:161,400 yards, and 12.8 touchdowns.
  1864. 1:00:19He's 15.8 fantasy points.
1865. 1:00:21That's easily top five fantasy wide receiver and half point.
1866. 1:00:24So it's exciting to get that quarterback in tow, which is why, Andy, I don't blame you
1867. 1:00:31for saying you're significantly on the Olave side in the dynasty.
1868. 1:00:34I don't think he's going to – the target share is going to be different this year.
1869. 1:00:37You've got to remember last year –
1870. 1:00:38It was super juiced at the end.
1871. 1:00:40Well, it was – they traded Rasheed Shaheed, their only other target, halfway through the
  1872. 1:00:44year.
  1873. 1:00:45How dare you, Vele?
1874. 1:00:46Well, but then Vele got hurt.
1875. 1:00:48Like, Vele was actually becoming a thing there.
1876. 1:00:51So adding Jordan Tyson, you know, what you hope for is that he stays efficient, scoring
  1877. 1:00:56touchdowns.
1878. 1:00:57The target share stays high.
1879. 1:00:58But you are going to need to spread the rock around a little bit.
1880. 1:01:01And can Shuck be – you know, you've got to figure out if Shuck is in the 3,500 or the
1881. 1:01:064,500-yard category because that makes a huge difference on supporting two wide receivers.
1882. 1:01:12Burrow can do it because, you know, this is what you just brought up with Caleb Williams.
1883. 1:01:17It's like if Caleb Williams – you just said if he throws for under 4,000, you're going
  1884. 1:01:20to have a problem with the Odunze-Birden-Loveland combination.
1885. 1:01:23I am more confident that Shuck has more passing yards than Caleb this year.
  1886. 1:01:29As are the books.
1887. 1:01:30Yeah, I mean, the books project it that way in Vegas.
1888. 1:01:33And it makes sense with the defense, the pace of play, the running game for both teams.
1889. 1:01:38I think that the passing volume will be larger.
1890. 1:01:40Last year, the usage splits, the target percentages were the same, 30% the first eight weeks, 30%
  1891. 1:01:48the last –
1892. 1:01:48That's what I was going to ask.
1893. 1:01:49Does Olave, with the addition of a top 10 NFL-drafted wide receiver, does Olave stay
  1894. 1:01:55at 30%?
  1895. 1:01:56No, no.
  1896. 1:01:57He does not.
1897. 1:01:58There's no way he's going to – with Jordan Tyson on the field, I can't put him at a 30%
  1898. 1:02:02target share.
1899. 1:02:03I have him at a 24.5% target share this year.
  1900. 1:02:06Oh, that's a major dip.
  1901. 1:02:07It is a major dip, but that's still 140 targets.
1902. 1:02:09There's going to be a lot of volume on this team.
1903. 1:02:12They also didn't have a running game, and they tried to bring that in this offseason with
  1904. 1:02:16the signing of Travis H.N. Jr.
  1905. 1:02:17Well, I don't know if they have a running game still.
  1906. 1:02:20Well, it's a huge investment by the team.
  1907. 1:02:22It is.
1908. 1:02:22In saying we want to balance this offense out a little bit, so we'll see what happens.
1909. 1:02:27But we're going to count down the top 10 running backs – or, sorry, wide receivers.
1910. 1:02:31On the Monday show, we'll move into running back rankings.
1911. 1:02:33Find out who Mike actually likes.
  1912. 1:02:36Yes.
  1913. 1:02:38I think maybe I just don't like anyone.
1914. 1:02:40I think you're the lowest on all players.
  1915. 1:02:43That was funny.
  1916. 1:02:44That was good.
  1917. 1:02:45All right, we'll be back.
  1918. 1:02:45It's just not possible.
  1919. 1:02:47I don't know how it happened.
1920. 1:02:49But as I said, save flowers for the win, guys.
  1921. 1:02:52Goodbye.
