- 0:16What's up, guys?
- 1:44Heat.
- 2:05Heat.
- 2:19Heat.
- 2:47Heat.
- 3:11I mean,
- 3:20>> [sighs]
- 3:23>> Welcome to another episode of Rock.
- 3:30I'm your host.
- 4:22Just go that way.
- 5:42Heat. Heat.
- 6:06Fore! Foreign! Foreign!
- 6:13[snorts]
- 6:26Knock them off.
- 6:45That was points of annoying.
- 6:47But yeah, I'm your host, Dr. Ants. Or
- 6:52was it Captain Ants? Oh, whatever. I
- 6:55have PhD and everything except math. But
- 6:58guys, welcome to another workshop
- 7:01expansion episode. [snorts] We're on
- 7:04number five now. And yeah, as of right
- 7:07now, I can count past three.
- 7:10Now, the current episode at hand is
- 7:12pretty straightforward overall.
- 7:14We're just going to complete everything
- 7:17or at least until the video gets like 4
- 7:19hours long. then we have to
- 7:23end it.
- 7:25But um yeah, because it's been already
- 7:28like four episodes so far, maybe maybe
- 7:30there's like couple of new people who
- 7:32have joined the channel and have no idea
- 7:34what the hell is going on. Then uh
- 7:37basically this is my workshop expansion
- 7:40project. Now I've been talking about it
- 7:42for many many years now and um now I'm
- 7:46doing it finally. And previously the
- 7:49workshop kind of ended with this wall.
- 7:52Well, there's no wall there anymore. I
- 7:54removed that some time ago. But yeah,
- 7:56there was a wall there and then the
- 7:58workshop was only on this side. And on
- 8:00that side, we had the woodworking tools
- 8:02and workshops. Uh in the first episode,
- 8:05I moved the entire woodworking workshop
- 8:09upstairs. And this part actually went
- 8:11pretty fast. It It only took me half a
- 8:13day to get everything up here and
- 8:15everything set up, but um about 3 days
- 8:18to set up the stupid electricity box.
- 8:21Yeah, I kind of screwed that up like
- 8:24several times. Then I had to go buy buy
- 8:26things. Then I bought the wrong things
- 8:30and that took like several days. But
- 8:32everything else was pretty
- 8:33straightforward.
- 8:35In the second episode,
- 8:40guys, what did we do in the second
- 8:43episode? I can't remember. Was it the
- 8:45wall? Did we remove the wall?
- 8:48I think so. Yeah, I don't know. Maybe.
- 8:52Yeah, let's go with the wall. So, we
- 8:54removed the wall. And then I added like
- 8:57um beam up here, which was not there
- 9:01before. So, there was a post on this
- 9:03spot before, but I removed that. And
- 9:06then it added that super long beam. I
- 9:08think that's like 6.4 m, something like
- 9:10that, unsupported from the center. So,
- 9:13I'm not sure if that's going to work
- 9:15out. I mean, it's it's been here so far.
- 9:18There's like a slight bend to it in the
- 9:20center. I can see it's bowing slightly,
- 9:22but hasn't broken yet, so maybe it's
- 9:26fine. Um, if you're wondering, then the
- 9:28dimensions are
- 9:31uh 4x 10 and there's two of them. I
- 9:36glued two two of those beams together.
- 9:38Also, a bunch of bolts and screws.
- 9:40And I think that was the entire second
- 9:42episode. Unless I forgot about
- 9:44something.
- 9:47Uh, yeah, the removing the wall actually
- 9:49was kind of annoying. Also took forever.
- 9:52In the third episode, I remember it very
- 9:54well. I installed that beam and then
- 9:57fixed up that wall because that was kind
- 9:59of messed up. There was like bunch of
- 10:01clay nonsense nonsense on this side and
- 10:04that side was just broken. So this this
- 10:07section of the wall got rebuilt.
- 10:09Although honestly
- 10:12I kind of like what I did on this side a
- 10:15bit better. Maybe like
- 10:19more rocks and less cement. But now I'm
- 10:22planning to add varnish on the wall, at
- 10:26least insides.
- 10:28So that's going to turn everything a bit
- 10:30more yellowy. And maybe that's going to
- 10:33make it look a bit better because this
- 10:35side has varnish. You can see it's a bit
- 10:37darker, but this this is just plain
- 10:40right now. So may maybe if we add that
- 10:43varnish as well, it's going to look like
- 10:44bunch of cakes.
- 10:59Oh yeah, we also uh started
- 11:04started to build that wall in the third
- 11:06episode as well, right?
- 11:08So that this was not here before. This
- 11:11entire section of a wall uh the log wall
- 11:14actually extended all the way down to
- 11:16the floor area. So, I removed half the
- 11:19log wall and installed a rock mass wall
- 11:23in itsstead.
- 11:25Now, I did not plan that from the get-go
- 11:27that that just kind of popped out of
- 11:29nowhere, but I figured, you know, that
- 11:32side is completely rock mass wall. It
- 11:35actually starts from there, but it's
- 11:36kind of hidden on that area. But from
- 11:40there
- 11:42goes through this area and now also
- 11:44there. By the way, in this episode, it's
- 11:48going to continue going all the way to
- 11:50this end. So,
- 11:52it's like a little circle of rock mass.
- 11:56The entire workshop will be actually
- 11:58covered by a rock mass wall except this
- 12:01little section, which is a cinder block
- 12:03wall. But I guess it's sort of similar,
- 12:06right? It's not as thick as the rock
- 12:09mass walls, but it's still mineralbased
- 12:13wall, right? If you guys did not know,
- 12:15then uh behind that OSB there's um
- 12:18couple of more OSBs, but behind those
- 12:21there's a rock mass wall as well.
- 12:24They're just kind of hidden. You can't
- 12:25see them, but from the outside you can
- 12:28see. Actually, in the future, I'm
- 12:30planning to uh uh also make the rock
- 12:33mass wall into this area. So, I'm just
- 12:37going to build it against the cinder
- 12:39block wall. So, it's not going to be
- 12:40very thick, but I think that's uh that's
- 12:42a good idea. Then then at least on both
- 12:44sides of the building the wall extends
- 12:47to the same
- 12:49uh length I guess or width
- 12:53because on this side it's all the way to
- 12:56the door now
- 13:00and on the other side is also going to
- 13:02be all the way to the door. But I'm not
- 13:04going to do that this year. I think
- 13:05that's not a priority.
- 13:07I think that's something that we'll need
- 13:09to do next year. But it kind of depends
- 13:11how long the workshop will take. I still
- 13:14have a lot of work to do. But if we do
- 13:17end up finishing the workshop like
- 13:18before set, then uh maybe we'll tackle
- 13:21this side as well. Just remove the
- 13:23siding, build the wall up against the
- 13:25cinder block wall, add insulation on the
- 13:29log part, but keep the rock uninsulated.
- 13:33Sadly, I want to leave it out. So, it's
- 13:35like a decorative effect. I mean, uh,
- 13:40this looks pretty nice, right?
- 13:43I mean, who would who would cover that
- 13:45mess up? Definitely not me, bro. Even if
- 13:48it's uninsulated, I I I still don't want
- 13:51to want want to cover it up. It just
- 13:53looks pretty good. But, uh, yeah, that
- 13:56was episode four. I guess the last
- 13:58episode, finishing the outside face of
- 14:01the same wall, which we finished inside
- 14:03on third episode.
- 14:05And then I immediately start wanted to
- 14:07start build on this wall. But then I
- 14:10realized, hey, I need to finish the
- 14:12stupid floor first. So I made that four
- 14:15sections of a new floor.
- 14:19And this was the old floor. That's the
- 14:21new floor now. I just poured it on top
- 14:23of the old floor. So we should have at
- 14:25least 28
- 14:27cm of concrete flooring if we combine
- 14:30the two two different floors. So, the
- 14:33new wall that we're going to place here
- 14:36should nicely be able to
- 14:39sit here without destroying the base.
- 14:44I mean, gravity doesn't play around,
- 14:46guys. Especially if you bump the numbers
- 14:48really high, then uh weird things start
- 14:52to happen. For example, a neutron star.
- 14:55Yeah,
- 14:56doesn't matter how thick the concrete is
- 14:58there. I would never be able to build a
- 15:00wall on that stupid remnant of a star.
- 15:05But anyway, you guys should be up to
- 15:08date now. So, we could continue the
- 15:10work.
- 15:11And as you can see, I already have the
- 15:13supplies
- 15:15over there. I think I think we have
- 15:17enough and probably even leftovers
- 15:20definitely. And I also going to I'm also
- 15:23going to use this junk up. This is
- 15:25basically like mineral based dust
- 15:28mostly. So I'm going to feed that crap
- 15:31into the mixer as well. This is going to
- 15:33be part of the wall. But uh before I can
- 15:37actually start stacking rocks, I need to
- 15:39build some type of a wall on this side.
- 15:43Yeah, [snorts]
- 15:44if I never mention this, then
- 15:47this this wall will be finished only on
- 15:49the inner side. So, it's going to take
- 15:52me at least two times less material and
- 15:54also two times less time.
- 15:57[gasps]
- 15:58Two times less Yeah, two times less
- 16:00time. That works because I only need to
- 16:02finish one side. I don't need to worry
- 16:04about the other side. The other side
- 16:05will get at least 100 mm of insulation.
- 16:10I think it doesn't really matter that
- 16:11I'm going to only insulate like one side
- 16:14or one wall of the entire workshop. It
- 16:17kind of makes no sense, but [snorts]
- 16:19I think it's fine. I mean,
- 16:23I could finish this side as well, but
- 16:25that that's like a lot of work and I
- 16:27think it's not worth it.
- 16:30[snorts] Maybe
- 16:32piss the piss off. No, no, we're not
- 16:35going to do it double side, dude. Piss
- 16:37off. Seriously, I Yeah, just one side
- 16:41and that side. I'm not Let's do that for
- 16:43Yeah, let's get to work.
- 16:52Okay,
- 16:53good.
- 17:08We just want to
- 17:32run.
- 18:09Heat. Heat.
- 18:30Let's
- 18:36[snorts]
- 18:42go.
- 19:08Where's the mus?
- 19:25Oo.
- 19:39Oh man.
- 19:56>> [snorts]
- 20:41>> Just a little bit.
- 21:05I'm going to
- 22:27guys. Wouldn't that just be super easy?
- 22:32I mean, just completely skip the bowler
- 22:34off
- 22:36and
- 22:37just put some insulation between the
- 22:39posts,
- 22:41some stupid OSB on top of that.
- 22:46More stupid paint on top of that.
- 22:57And voila, wall finished, right?
- 23:00It will be pretty easy. Yeah,
- 23:02definitely.
- 23:04But uh no,
- 23:07we have to go follow the ants pants bus.
- 23:11Do a bunch of work for weeks on end and
- 23:13then about it.
- 23:16Welcome to my ride.
- 23:21Oh, by the way, I think it has begun
- 23:24now. Yesterday we got a pretty severe
- 23:27warning that uh we're going to get um
- 23:29rainstorm of a lifetime or something of
- 23:32the sorts and it's going to happen
- 23:34today.
- 23:36I think maybe this is just the
- 23:37beginning, you know, or maybe nothing
- 23:40will happen like last time. Last time we
- 23:42got a warning as well. It was in the
- 23:43middle of the summer, but nothing came
- 23:45of it. Basically, the cloud just came
- 23:48here, flipped us off and turned back.
- 23:51The cloud never reached this area
- 23:54luckily, but in about that structure
- 23:58now, so that's temporary. I'm not
- 24:01planning to keep it there. It's just
- 24:02there to keep the mix, I guess, from
- 24:06going to that side of the house. So, I'm
- 24:09going to put some OSP paneling down
- 24:11against this. And then I can start
- 24:13stacking rocks on this side against the
- 24:16OSB. Uh, plus the OSB won't be any
- 24:18higher than this point somewhere over
- 24:20here to keep the same height of uh of
- 24:23the entire wall on that side as well.
- 24:28Oh, and I also figured out where the
- 24:29door is going to be finally. I've been
- 24:31giving it some serious thought and u I
- 24:34think this is the perfect spot for it.
- 24:37So, this cap will be 91. The door frame
- 24:40is 89. So, that leaves me 10 mm of
- 24:44foaming cap on each side. And the work
- 24:47table will be
- 24:50I would say maybe like a meter
- 24:54somewhere over there. So the work table
- 24:56will stop here. And here we have the
- 24:58wall. Uh sorry I mean the door. I think
- 25:01that's going to work out pretty good.
- 25:04Oh, a couple of things about the wall
- 25:05itself. I'm planning to embed at least
- 25:08one item into the wall.
- 25:13I want to put I want to put my battery
- 25:16box physically inside the wall. So
- 25:20yeah, it will be inside the wall and I
- 25:22can open it to get the batteries out.
- 25:24But it will it will be mostly embedded
- 25:28and I'm going to put it in this area. So
- 25:30the entire new charging station will be
- 25:33in this corner far away from chips and
- 25:36smoke and bunch of fire. And the other
- 25:40thing was
- 25:43the chimney. The chimney situation. I
- 25:45think I finally made up my mind and I'm
- 25:47not going to install the chimney on this
- 25:49side
- 25:50rather. It's going to be inside the
- 25:52workshop. So, most likely, you know,
- 25:56somewhere here going to come down
- 25:58roughly in the center of the building
- 26:00and the fireplace will be
- 26:03pointing that way. So, the fireplace
- 26:05will be here connected up to the
- 26:07chimney. And uh that that's the end of
- 26:09that story basically. Now, this decision
- 26:12has several benefits over having the
- 26:14chimney on the other side of the wall
- 26:16because if you heat up the fireplace,
- 26:18the chimney is going to get warm as
- 26:19well, right? So, that's extra heat
- 26:21inside the workshop. Plus,
- 26:24um upstairs as well, right? It's going
- 26:26to go through the woodworking workshop.
- 26:28And maybe in the future, I'm going to
- 26:30cover up the woodworking workshop as
- 26:32well, insulate it and everything. And
- 26:33then I already have like a option
- 26:37upstairs to hook up a fireplace there as
- 26:40well or maybe like a diesel heater or
- 26:43something. So the the chimney is already
- 26:46up there. Plus it's going to provide
- 26:47heat up there as well. So keeping it on
- 26:50this side makes a lot more sense than
- 26:52putting it on the other side of the
- 26:53wall. Plus if I put it here somewhere
- 26:58it's going to it should be somewhere
- 27:00over here. So,
- 27:02that's going to interfere with the
- 27:03openness of of the area, right? There's
- 27:06going to be like stupid thing in the way
- 27:08in the middle somewhere and maybe I'm
- 27:10going to like crash into it with the
- 27:11pocket or something. So, that's kind of
- 27:14iffy situation, right? Makes more sense
- 27:18to do it inside the workshop. But other
- 27:21than that,
- 27:24oh, I'm going to keep that
- 27:28very complex option open, you know.
- 27:30something that I mentioned before and
- 27:32then rage quit basically I've given it
- 27:35some thought that maybe we should also
- 27:37finish this face uh with a rock finish
- 27:41as well in that case we're going to
- 27:43completely ditch the insulation material
- 27:45and it's just going to be rock all
- 27:47around but I'm not really sure about if
- 27:50I'm going to do that you know however
- 27:53with the current setup I have that
- 27:55option in the future so I'm going to
- 27:57have
- 27:59uh about 15 cm.
- 28:03Now, it's not a lot sadly, but I think
- 28:06it's barely enough to build some type of
- 28:08a rock face on this side if I choose to.
- 28:12If not, then uh we'll do some type of
- 28:14wooden framework much like we have right
- 28:16now. And then that's the end of the
- 28:19story. That's this this side is
- 28:21finished, insulated and everything. But
- 28:23if we choose the rock option, then I
- 28:25could just stack
- 28:28up to this point as well and then only
- 28:31finish the upper side. So, I'm not
- 28:34really sure what option I will choose. I
- 28:36guess we'll see later.
- 28:38I mean, it will be pretty cool to have a
- 28:40rock finish all around, but then again,
- 28:42maybe it's not worth it. Maybe maybe
- 28:44adding insulation on this side kind of
- 28:46is a better option. I'm not really sure
- 28:48at the moment.
- 28:56I mean at least we have that option open
- 28:58to us if we choose to go down that
- 28:59route, right?
- 29:02Having multiple options is always good.
- 29:45Heat.
- 30:05Heat.
- 30:10Heat. Heat.
- 31:11Heat. Heat.
- 31:30It could be race
- 31:35kilome.
- 31:48Heat. Heat.
- 32:16How much is
- 32:38Santa said the same thing. He thought
- 32:41I'm going to build. He thought that's
- 32:43going to be the wall.
- 33:07The guy said that I chose the easier
- 33:09option.
- 33:11Well, and Spence doesn't have any easy
- 33:13options. He only has the hard ones and
- 33:16he still chooses the wrong one every
- 33:18night.
- 33:48Can't believe that thing is actually
- 33:50correct.
- 33:51Exactly.
- 33:53Yeah, exactly. 16 and a half, bro. What
- 33:55the hell? Some weird coincidence again.
- 33:58Wow. Maybe I should pray to Freya or
- 34:00something.
- 34:04[laughter]
- 34:11iffy situation, right?
- 34:17Makes more sense to put it inside the
- 34:19workshop
- 34:24rather. It's going to be inside the
- 34:25workshop. So, most likely, you know,
- 34:29somewhere here going to come down
- 34:31roughly in the center of the building.
- 35:02Heat. Heat.
- 35:53Anyway,
- 36:03that is clear of that part.
- 36:09Are you still here?
- 36:15Okay.
- 36:17I mean,
- 36:19dude, that looks like a wall, right? I
- 36:21know. a borly executed half of a wall, I
- 36:24would say. Can't believe it. It's just a
- 36:26warm formwork.
- 36:28It's kind of crazy.
- 36:33Ooh, rain is picking up. Look at that.
- 36:43Still quite lame though. We need more.
- 36:46But uh yeah, the next mission
- 36:49will be a long one. Basically, I think
- 36:51we're ready ready to stack the wall now.
- 36:53So, the current plan is that um I'm
- 36:55going to stack a wall, rock wall against
- 36:59the formwork and it's going to go pretty
- 37:01pretty straight. I'm going to keep as
- 37:04close as possible to the post. So, this
- 37:06will still be embedded, but it's going
- 37:08to be very lightly embedded. The reason
- 37:11for that is that I want the wall to be
- 37:13straight.
- 37:15So, it's going to be 90° with this wall
- 37:17roughly. So, it's going to start
- 37:21much deeper from this end
- 37:24somewhere over here and just go straight
- 37:27there. The log is just so crooked. I
- 37:30can't really do anything about that
- 37:31sadly. So, that's that's going to be a
- 37:33defect always. But yeah, yeah, I'm going
- 37:36to at least make the stupid rock wall
- 37:38straight. I'm not going to make that
- 37:40crooked.
- 37:41Oh, and the log will be completely
- 37:43inside the workshop. So my previous idea
- 37:45was that I'm going to build a wall along
- 37:47the crooked log itself, right? But uh
- 37:52because this this log is just so badly
- 37:54positioned right now. It's so crooked. I
- 37:57have decided that I'm going to
- 37:58completely leave it inside the workshop.
- 38:00Uh so the wall will be uh the wall will
- 38:02be behind the log and the log itself
- 38:06will stay
- 38:07inside the workshop permanently
- 38:11including the upper part as well because
- 38:13it just sits so low. I can't I can't
- 38:15really do anything but that sadly. But
- 38:17maybe it will look cool you know maybe
- 38:19maybe the group locked once everything
- 38:21is finished. Put some brown paint on
- 38:23that guy and maybe that guy will
- 38:25actually look pretty cool.
- 38:31The wind is picking up.
- 38:39Still lame though.
- 38:44Maybe we can get some type of a line
- 38:46down for the wall.
- 39:27Let's go.
- 39:34Woo!
- 39:38Much better now. Wow.
- 39:59And I kind of find it amazing that it's
- 40:00been raining for like couple of hours
- 40:02now. Not well, not heavily, mind you.
- 40:05But you know, on the slope, there's
- 40:08still no water. There's still no water
- 40:09here.
- 40:11The milling's mass, let's say, is still
- 40:15filling up. And once that fills up, then
- 40:18the water just starts to go downhill.
- 40:21And then it starts to be a problem. But
- 40:23it takes forever for the mass to fill
- 40:25up. As you can see, it's kind of filling
- 40:28up on this end now.
- 40:33But everything here, no puddle
- 40:35whatsoever. All the water goes inside
- 40:37the links.
- 40:39And mostly mostly no water will actually
- 40:42ever even reach the hillside. It will
- 40:44just go into the ground from here. So I
- 40:47kind of like that, you know. That's
- 40:48pretty cool. Honestly,
- 40:51basically the entire road is like a
- 40:52French train, right?
- 40:55However, it has its limits.
- 40:58That's why I'm trying to fix that thing
- 40:59over there.
- 41:01But for you guys, it should be already
- 41:02finished.
- 41:10But anyway,
- 41:12sadly, I ran out of green paint, but
- 41:15that's going to be the baseline for the
- 41:16wall. It's exactly 61 cm against the
- 41:20formwork on uh on all sides. So, it's
- 41:24not going to be as thick as this guy
- 41:25was. This guy ended up being like 70 75
- 41:28or something like that.
- 41:31[sighs] But, uh, still quite thick,
- 41:34right? I mean,
- 41:37maybe something like this. No, this is
- 41:40this is 50. That's Yeah, deeper. One
- 41:43sucking thing is that I'm going to lose
- 41:44a lot of space, though. I mean, look how
- 41:47much the room is going to shrink after
- 41:49you put the wall there. That's pretty
- 41:50crazy.
- 41:52But um that's what it shows, right? That
- 41:56was the plan. So we have to go with
- 41:58that.
- 42:27So sorry they got but I got
- 42:36guys I got a new idea.
- 42:39If that idea kind of looks okay, then uh
- 42:42it will make the wall about 20 cm less
- 42:45less thick. So 40 instead of 60.
- 42:49But I'm not sure if that's going to look
- 42:51okay. You know, the reason I can't make
- 42:53the wall thinner at the moment is
- 42:56because of the posts. Um namely the
- 43:00first two. Actually, there was a fourth
- 43:02one as well, but I already removed that.
- 43:04The guy was here in the last video. The
- 43:07wall would have been even thicker if uh
- 43:10I left that in as well. But u my new
- 43:12idea is that maybe I can bring now with
- 43:15steel you can weld stuff at a weird
- 43:17angle, right? And maybe I can bring the
- 43:19post on this location and then make like
- 43:23a turn that way in order to support the
- 43:27wall. I mean log. That way I can keep
- 43:30all the posts in line and then I can
- 43:33shrink the thickness of the wall down to
- 43:35about 40 which would be quite ideal
- 43:39actually. I think 60 is just overkill.
- 43:43But at the moment if we leave the posts
- 43:45there then I don't have any other
- 43:47choice. Need to go with 60. But then
- 43:49before I start um demolitioning
- 43:52everything let's add that fourth post as
- 43:55well. But let's make that weird
- 43:57connection to it. Maybe if it looks
- 43:58cool, maybe if it looks looks okay, then
- 44:02we can do the rest of the post the same
- 44:03way. And then we can make the wall much
- 44:06less thick.
- 44:23Heat. Heat.
- 45:07Heat. Heat.
- 45:11Heat.
- 45:28Heat.
- 45:44See
- 46:00brush here.
- 46:12All
- 46:25right.
- 46:31Yeah.
- 46:40>> [music]
- 47:03>> These ones are around.
- 47:07be very
- 47:48Heat.
- 47:55Heat.
- 48:00Heat.
- 48:22Heat.
- 48:44There's some different
- 48:52Foreign
- 49:11speech. Foreign speech. Foreign speech.
- 49:22This supervis This is too cold.
- 49:26Luckily, we have the Soviet ship.
- 50:01See guys,
- 50:03perfect. No um
- 50:07misalignment.
- 50:10Just keep in mind if you want to buy the
- 50:12firewall
- 50:13vice for yourself, you also need to get
- 50:15a Soviet chair.
- 50:18Call me up if you want one. I have
- 50:20plenty.
- 50:56be true guys.
- 51:00Come on.
- 51:10I did it on the wrong side.
- 51:50Look at that. I got three giant from
- 51:52Santa Class. Like, is the guy trying to
- 51:55kill me? My blood sugar is already at
- 51:57orbit.
- 52:25Heat.
- 52:45Heat.
- 52:58>> [snorts]
- 53:44[music]
- 54:10>> Okay.
- 54:14Moment of truth, people. Will it sack
- 54:18down
- 54:20or not?
- 54:22Even if it does, I think it's not a
- 54:24problem. I could like put a temporary
- 54:27post at the where the door is at.
- 54:30So, but maybe it [snorts] doesn't even
- 54:32sack down. Maybe it's such a beef cake.
- 54:58Such a beefcake.
- 55:01Look at that. Nice little
- 55:03It's holding. So, yeah, that was my
- 55:06idea. Um, kind of sad that I did not
- 55:08think about this before. [sighs]
- 55:11But really glad I thought about it
- 55:14before I built the wall because you know
- 55:16right now we can even do like a
- 55:19we can literally do like a 30 30 cm wall
- 55:23and I think that's pretty good because
- 55:24the little red box that I'm planning to
- 55:27embed inside the wall. I think that was
- 55:29like 28 or something like that.
- 55:33Oh, it's actually exactly dirty. Look at
- 55:35that.
- 55:37Neato. Everything's falling in its
- 55:39place. Very good.
- 55:42So, the wall will be also
- 55:46two times thinner.
- 55:49So, that's going to give me some uh
- 55:51actually quite a bit of free space
- 55:54inside the workshop.
- 55:56It may may not seem a lot. I mean, only
- 55:5930 cm, right? But dude, the closer it
- 56:03gets, the bigger
- 56:05it also gets, right? So
- 56:08the sucky part is that I need to redo
- 56:10what we just did three more times. Yeah,
- 56:13I want I want to readjust the first one
- 56:16as well. So, uh they will all look
- 56:19roughly the same. The only difference
- 56:21will be the length of the support. So,
- 56:23this is the longest piece obviously.
- 56:26And as I go that way, it's going to get
- 56:28shorter and shorter by the end of the
- 56:31road. It's going to be pretty short. But
- 56:32that's not going to be a problem. I
- 56:34think I think that's actually going to
- 56:36look pretty unique once everything's
- 56:38finished.
- 56:39It's like a
- 56:41interesting approach to
- 56:44fix that annoying crooked log without
- 56:47actually fixing it.
- 56:49Yeah. So,
- 56:52let's um let's cut those pieces out of
- 56:54the concrete and then
- 56:57do that.
- 57:14I mean, let's be honest, this was bunch
- 57:15of weird Anyway,
- 57:54>> [snorts]
- 57:57>> Are you satisfied Now,
- 58:00I don't know about you guys, but I am
- 58:53Guys, want to see something interesting?
- 58:54So, I opened the door and a bat dropped
- 58:58down on the concrete. I have no idea
- 59:00what the guy was doing up there.
- 59:04Hopefully
- 59:13didn't get hurt.
- 59:17Oh man, look at those freaking teeth.
- 59:20Holy hell.
- 59:23Look like a vampire.
- 59:25>> [snorts]
- 59:38>> Maybe he got a concussion after the
- 59:40drop.
- 59:42Trying to make
- 59:45sense of things. Yeah, I'm going to let
- 59:47the dude chew there. Maybe he will make
- 59:50up his mind.
- 59:52>> [clears throat]
- 59:54>> In the meantime though, we got points of
- 59:55work to do.
- 1:00:16for
- 1:00:45what's foreign.
- 1:00:58Yeah.
- 1:01:09Sorry.
- 1:01:14>> I sent a picture to the super sister
- 1:01:16about the bed and she was like, "Oh my
- 1:01:18god, let's call someone. Let's call the
- 1:01:21ambulance or something." Dude, what the
- 1:01:24Six, right? That makes no sense.
- 1:01:32Heat.
- 1:01:54Heat.
- 1:02:26We No, we don't.
- 1:03:34Well, this plate is completely dull now.
- 1:03:36I don't know what happened.
- 1:03:38Kind of lame, honestly. Also, it dies so
- 1:03:41suddenly. I mean, one moment it's
- 1:03:44cutting the the next moment is like not
- 1:03:47cutting. Right now it's not cutting at
- 1:03:51all anymore. It's just like completely
- 1:03:52doll. Not sure what happened. Also, it
- 1:03:55didn't last that long as well. I mean, I
- 1:03:58only done a couple of projects with it.
- 1:04:00Luckily though, we do have the the
- 1:04:03carnivite teeth are pretty long on this
- 1:04:04one. So, I think we can resharpen these
- 1:04:08maybe like three times, perhaps even
- 1:04:11four
- 1:04:13before we need to discard the blade.
- 1:04:35Okay. So, it kind of cuts, but then it
- 1:04:37gets stopped or something.
- 1:04:48Maybe the blade is working.
- 1:05:04That doesn't
- 1:05:23sound normal.
- 1:05:26Usually they die slowly. I mean longer,
- 1:05:29harder,
- 1:05:31lots more sparks.
- 1:05:33They just don't suddenly die. It's like
- 1:05:36overnight someone stole half the dick
- 1:05:40or something.
- 1:05:50That's really great tool to cut the
- 1:05:52freaking angles though.
- 1:05:55I never really liked using this for that
- 1:05:57purpose.
- 1:06:03No, that's this is not going to cut 45°.
- 1:06:06At least this freaking tubing
- 1:06:10like 40°.
- 1:06:39Now that's the most reliable freaking in
- 1:06:42the universe.
- 1:06:44If the plate doesn't cut anymore, then
- 1:06:46the plate doesn't exist anymore. Easy as
- 1:06:49that.
- 1:07:31>> [music]
- 1:07:39[snorts]
- 1:07:45[snorts]
- 1:07:58[snorts]
- 1:09:51>> Heat.
- 1:10:06Heat.
- 1:10:43I hope
- 1:10:46I hope my rocks don't though. Still need
- 1:10:49them.
- 1:11:17There go.
- 1:11:36Heat.
- 1:12:05Heat.
- 1:12:32Heat. Heat.
- 1:12:34[music]
- 1:13:07Okay,
- 1:13:14that starts off that that mess
- 1:13:19took my entire day. Totally worth it
- 1:13:22though. It solved several of uh
- 1:13:28not problems rather nuances
- 1:13:31or something of the sorts. Now I can do
- 1:13:34that wall
- 1:13:3630 something cm thick. I can save a lot
- 1:13:40of space on the workshop workshop side
- 1:13:43itself. And that's going to look a lot
- 1:13:45nicer than just regular straight posts
- 1:13:49going uh sideways somewhere. Plus the
- 1:13:52posts themselves kind of interesting
- 1:13:55touch I guess to the workshop. I mean we
- 1:13:58can uh hang something from their from
- 1:14:01them as well. Right. So unique
- 1:14:03opportunities there. I decided to keep
- 1:14:06them the same length though. At first I
- 1:14:08thought I'm going to make those parts
- 1:14:10shorter with the lock, but I figured
- 1:14:12that's maybe going to look weird. So
- 1:14:15uh yeah, that this definitely looks
- 1:14:18better.
- 1:14:23I'm going to do exactly 35 because the
- 1:14:25box is uh 30. So that means I can do 50
- 1:14:29mm of mix behind the box as well.
- 1:15:12Wow.
- 1:15:17Spent the entire day
- 1:15:20and saved so much space.
- 1:15:23Look at that, man. We can definitely buy
- 1:15:27buy another lathe and fit it there,
- 1:15:29right?
- 1:15:31So much space, bro. But whatever. Still
- 1:15:34worth it, I think. Yeah, that option is
- 1:15:37much better. You know, I have a couple
- 1:15:39of pieces of rebot miss remaining. I
- 1:15:42figured maybe
- 1:15:44we hit there.
- 1:15:53probably not worth it though. I mean,
- 1:15:54it's going to be so close to the bormuck
- 1:15:56that maybe some some parts of it will
- 1:16:01will um be exposed and then it's going
- 1:16:03to start rusting from the other side.
- 1:16:07Plus, I only have two sheets.
- 1:16:09But then again, if I do end up doing the
- 1:16:12other side as well with rock with a rock
- 1:16:14face, then it doesn't matter if the
- 1:16:16stupid uh mesh is out partially, right?
- 1:16:22Technically, I think I should add a mesh
- 1:16:23here because the thickness of this rock
- 1:16:25wall is going to be only 35 cm. So,
- 1:16:28that's actually pretty slim for a mass
- 1:16:29wall. So, maybe the mesh will actually
- 1:16:32help to keep it together, you know.
- 1:16:36Yeah. But that doesn't solve my having
- 1:16:39not enough of the stuff issue.
- 1:16:43Plus, the weather kind of sucks, so I
- 1:16:44don't want to go to the city.
- 1:16:49Heat.
- 1:17:03Heat.
- 1:17:51I mean, clearly I don't have enough uh
- 1:17:53mixing mix anyway to finish this wall,
- 1:17:56right? So, at some point I need to go to
- 1:17:58the local library to pick up some books
- 1:18:03where to get the cheapest mix
- 1:18:07and then go buy the supplies. I guess I
- 1:18:09can also pick up or couple of sheets of
- 1:18:12the mesh and um extend it further later.
- 1:18:16Shouldn't be a problem.
- 1:19:21Heat. Heat.
- 1:19:39Heat. Heat.
- 1:20:18Okay, look at that.
- 1:20:25Oh man, no more sparks.
- 1:20:29That was pretty cool.
- 1:20:51Fusion
- 1:20:53Spence achieved fusion before everyone
- 1:20:55else.
- 1:20:58Give me my bride now, please.
- 1:21:09Heat.
- 1:21:23Heat.
- 1:21:48But yeah, guys, if this sort of
- 1:21:49backfires on us after I remove the
- 1:21:52formwork later,
- 1:21:55then um I don't know,
- 1:21:58then I think I need to start praying on
- 1:22:00Uh, new.
- 1:22:06Hey, maybe the Wolverine.
- 1:22:09Put a picture of that fine beard on the
- 1:22:11wall.
- 1:22:20I mean what?
- 1:23:17Can't be bothered to deal with that crap
- 1:23:19right now.
- 1:23:21Anyway
- 1:23:24guys, think we can finally enter that
- 1:23:27timelapse phase. I mean, uh, it's
- 1:23:29already been like an hour at least,
- 1:23:31right? Maybe even more. And we haven't
- 1:23:34even started. We haven't even started
- 1:23:35the wall build yet. Something that I was
- 1:23:38supposed to do three videos ago,
- 1:23:40actually.
- 1:23:42So, that kind of makes no sense. But, I
- 1:23:45don't think I'm going to finish the
- 1:23:46entire wall with a single time lapse.
- 1:23:49That's also kind of lame.
- 1:23:51So, we're going to start off, see how
- 1:23:53things go, and maybe
- 1:23:56if I find something to pitch about, then
- 1:23:59uh I'm going to stop the lapse. Seems
- 1:24:01reasonable. Right now, I'm going to try
- 1:24:03to keep the stupid mesh away from the
- 1:24:05OSB as much as pos possible. I'm going
- 1:24:07to wiggle it around. Make sure there's
- 1:24:10at least some mix between the um thing.
- 1:24:15However, sex is not guarant I mean,
- 1:24:17success is not guaranteed.
- 1:24:20Yeah, but it's a very easy word to mess
- 1:24:23up, too. That's perfectly normal.
- 1:24:35[music]
- 1:24:57Now, what are you still doing here?

- 1:37:22it took a pretty serious hit.
- 1:37:28And while I was driving to the city to
- 1:37:30pick up some more supplies,
- 1:37:35you guys flew off the trailer at 90 km
- 1:37:39per hour.
- 1:37:43That's about 60 miles per hour, by the
- 1:37:45way. I mean, uh,
- 1:37:5260 mph flying across the tarmac.
- 1:37:58Must have been fun.
- 1:38:01Took me a while to even find you. You
- 1:38:02were somewhere in the ditch. Literally
- 1:38:06in the grass.
- 1:38:20I thought this was a blade.
- 1:38:26No, I'm
- 1:38:36crap. for
- 1:38:40loop.
- 1:38:53There's like a little thing over here,
- 1:38:54but maybe you guys can't even see that.
- 1:39:00Yeah, it looks fine,
- 1:39:06guys. This thing has been my bread and
- 1:39:07butter for the last 3 years at least.
- 1:39:09I've been I've been only using this
- 1:39:11camera. The current camera I'm using at
- 1:39:13the moment is the one which um we went
- 1:39:17swimming with and it didn't work
- 1:39:20afterwards, but [clears throat] I know
- 1:39:22it works now. So maybe that was just a
- 1:39:24glitch. However, this one,
- 1:39:27yeah, as you can see, it's been through
- 1:39:30through a lot of different projects.
- 1:39:33Those are solid burn marks over there.
- 1:39:38This guy has been through hell and
- 1:39:42go back quite literally. I wonder if the
- 1:39:45main screen also got screwed up or not.
- 1:39:48Oh yeah. Look at that.
- 1:39:54[sighs]
- 1:39:55The main screen got messed up as well
- 1:39:57with the fall. Pretty badly even.
- 1:40:00The thing still works though, which is
- 1:40:02just insane. I mean
- 1:40:05I mean even the touchcreen works like
- 1:40:08what I mean the buttons are a bit weird
- 1:40:11obviously but they've been like that for
- 1:40:13years.
- 1:40:15This is pretty bad though.
- 1:40:18I wonder if you can also replace that
- 1:40:20screen out probably.
- 1:40:23But you know me I'm a master crap
- 1:40:25coverer so maybe we can cover this crap
- 1:40:27up.
- 1:40:30Camera sort of agrees.
- 1:40:49I have a feeling that this not even
- 1:40:50going to stick there though.
- 1:40:55It needs a pretty flat surface.
- 1:40:58Yeah.
- 1:41:01It doesn't even dry.
- 1:41:05Okay. A little bit from that corner
- 1:41:07though.
- 1:41:13Okay. That actually looks a lot worse
- 1:41:14than before.
- 1:41:20>> Do you still
- 1:41:22test test?
- 1:41:26But um guys, I have some I have some
- 1:41:28good news and I have some bad news. It
- 1:41:31just kind of came out of nowhere, but
- 1:41:33it's also kind of bad. So, the good news
- 1:41:36is that a Bobcat 751, the exact same
- 1:41:40model that I have, has come up on sale
- 1:41:45through lo local marketplaces.
- 1:41:49The bad news is that I'm not going to
- 1:41:50buy that one,
- 1:41:53and that's because one particular
- 1:41:56reason.
- 1:41:58Oh, there's more bad news as well, but
- 1:41:59we'll get to that later. So, now I
- 1:42:02called the guy up and I probably asked
- 1:42:04the most important question first. It's
- 1:42:06like, um, hey dude, you have a 751 for
- 1:42:10sale.
- 1:42:11What engine does it have? Yeah, that's
- 1:42:14actually the most important uh question
- 1:42:16to ask if you want to buy one.
- 1:42:18Basically, the early models of the 751,
- 1:42:23they shipped not with a kota engine like
- 1:42:26this one. It had some type of a bash
- 1:42:30type of u weirdness on it. Honestly,
- 1:42:34it's also a diesel engine, but uh that
- 1:42:36thing is notorious for bunch of issues.
- 1:42:41I suppose there there were many
- 1:42:42different issues on that one. Even the
- 1:42:44Bobcat actually discontinued the use of
- 1:42:48that engine because of reliability
- 1:42:50issues.
- 1:42:52Later they switched over to the Kota and
- 1:42:54that has been a solid workforce ever
- 1:42:56since. But u the guy I called the guy up
- 1:42:59asked what engine does it have. The guy
- 1:43:01immediately told me uh Bush Bash engine
- 1:43:05and I I told the guy no thanks I'm not
- 1:43:09interested anymore.
- 1:43:11But uh the guy actually tried to like
- 1:43:15bother smooth the situation somewhat.
- 1:43:19The guy literally tried to tell me that
- 1:43:21the copota is junk and the bisau is uh
- 1:43:25the supreme engine for this tractor.
- 1:43:29He even told me that uh he did like a
- 1:43:31full rebuild on the engine like few
- 1:43:33months ago.
- 1:43:35And uh
- 1:43:37yeah, I was pretty much like a dude, did
- 1:43:41you literally just inject cocaine
- 1:43:43straight into your brain or something?
- 1:43:46Bro, that makes no sense. How can
- 1:43:48that be the superior engine for this
- 1:43:50tractor?
- 1:43:52I mean, clearly not the case, right?
- 1:43:54Now, even if you like Google search
- 1:43:56Kopota versus special on the AI,
- 1:44:01the Gopota powered popcat 751 is
- 1:44:04overwhelmingly considered the superior
- 1:44:06choice by mechanics by owners and
- 1:44:09mechanics
- 1:44:11due to its better significantly better
- 1:44:13reli reliability
- 1:44:16and problematic head gaskets, cold start
- 1:44:19issues,
- 1:44:20difficulty to get parts for the Bashaw,
- 1:44:23by the
- 1:44:25resale value lower because of the
- 1:44:27engine.
- 1:44:30By the way, I paid 6.5 grand for that
- 1:44:32third and the guy currently selling the
- 1:44:35BU mo motor for 8 grand. It's like oh
- 1:44:39and it kind of looks very very
- 1:44:43cool as well. Maybe he took the thing
- 1:44:46down by now.
- 1:44:50No, it's still there. Oh, has changed
- 1:44:52the price to 7500 though. Okay.
- 1:44:57I mean, look at that thing, bro.
- 1:45:01Stupid
- 1:45:02shadow.
- 1:45:05Okay, that's better.
- 1:45:07I mean, what type of a freaking alien
- 1:45:09type of hood or roof does it have? I
- 1:45:12mean, that thing won't even fit under my
- 1:45:13carport.
- 1:45:16[snorts]
- 1:45:16Even this guy barely barely fits. So, I
- 1:45:21would need to take that off 100%.
- 1:45:24Noral, I would say it looks about the
- 1:45:25same that as I bought mine, I guess. No,
- 1:45:30I b paint painted this guy over like two
- 1:45:32times now, but it still looks like bunch
- 1:45:34of nonsense. I guess we just use it too
- 1:45:37much, right? The paint just doesn't like
- 1:45:39to work or something. I don't know. But
- 1:45:41yeah, I'm not going to buy that thing
- 1:45:43even though they come on sale very
- 1:45:45rarely here. I'm I'm going to skip that
- 1:45:48over. I'm going to wait for a better
- 1:45:49option.
- 1:45:50I would love to have a second skit here
- 1:45:52and I would be fine having the same
- 1:45:54model honestly. That's [snorts]
- 1:45:57pretty okay for me I suppose.
- 1:46:00But I I just don't want that thing
- 1:46:01because of the engine. It's just like
- 1:46:03bunch of headaches. And one very
- 1:46:05interesting thing about that engine is
- 1:46:06uh
- 1:46:08it has a timing belt by the way. It's
- 1:46:10not chain driven or gear driven. It's a
- 1:46:12it has a timing belt and the water pump
- 1:46:16is connected to the same timing belt. So
- 1:46:18if your water pump seizes or something,
- 1:46:24goodbye engine, right, bro. The valves
- 1:46:26are going to enter escape velocity. That
- 1:46:30thing is unrequitable
- 1:46:32if that happens. Also, I remember there
- 1:46:35was like an interesting note.
- 1:46:43No dimming belt hassle. The B show us
- 1:46:45uses a automotive style rubber thing.
- 1:46:49The Copota uses a gear thing which will
- 1:46:54last basically forever.
- 1:46:56Cold weather performance, same deal.
- 1:46:58It's highly notorious for being
- 1:47:01difficult to start in the freezing
- 1:47:02climates. [sighs]
- 1:47:04Um, heat gasket failures, inject
- 1:47:08injection pump issues.
- 1:47:12Yeah,
- 1:47:13>> I I don't know what type of freaking
- 1:47:17Marioana that guy was smoking by telling
- 1:47:20me that the Bashau is a better option
- 1:47:23compared to the Copota. That that makes
- 1:47:25no sense, right? I'm pretty sure he's
- 1:47:27just tried to smooth the situation out
- 1:47:29on that um front. I mean, why did he do
- 1:47:32like a complete rebuild on the engine
- 1:47:34two months ago? I mean, that's already
- 1:47:35like a red flag, right? But um enough of
- 1:47:38that. Let's get to the other issue that
- 1:47:40kind of developed out of nowhere.
- 1:47:44It's actually pretty bad kind of
- 1:47:48this piece of thing.
- 1:47:53Look, what a mess, bro.
- 1:47:57Oh my. You know, I parked this dude here
- 1:47:59like couple of days ago. Did not notice
- 1:48:01anything. But all of a sudden today,
- 1:48:04I noticed a leak.
- 1:48:08I'm not really 100% sure where it came
- 1:48:10from, but it came from somewhere up
- 1:48:12there. So, there's like two options
- 1:48:13here. Either the weld is cracked on that
- 1:48:18part or there's like a tube or a thing
- 1:48:24connected over there which may be
- 1:48:25leaking. I'm not really sure. I can't
- 1:48:27really see in there at the moment.
- 1:48:31Actually, it only leaked on that area,
- 1:48:34but this this was kind of my fault. Um,
- 1:48:37yeah, my bad. I I kind of noticed that
- 1:48:39leak and then I thought, okay, it's
- 1:48:41coming from up there. Maybe I just lower
- 1:48:42the fuel level and and it's going to
- 1:48:44stop leaking. So, uh, I grabbed the
- 1:48:48supplies. I filled up one canister and
- 1:48:53then I shut the bump off, but I never
- 1:48:55removed like the hose or well, the hose
- 1:48:57remained inside the box, the bump
- 1:49:00[sighs and gasps]
- 1:49:00inside the fuel tank. The bump was off,
- 1:49:04but the fuel kept flowing, you know,
- 1:49:06thanks to the fuel dynamics or some
- 1:49:09stuff like that. And by the time I got
- 1:49:11back after fetching the second canister,
- 1:49:15it was already too late. So, I I think I
- 1:49:18spilled maybe like 2 liters of diesel
- 1:49:21um by accident. And that was 100%
- 1:49:26not by accident. It's not leaking
- 1:49:28anymore, though. And after removing the
- 1:49:31excessive fuel,
- 1:49:33then it stopped the leak. So the leak
- 1:49:34has to be somewhere up there. It's
- 1:49:35either cracked from the weld or the
- 1:49:37other thing. By the way, it would not be
- 1:49:39a first time if it was cracked weld.
- 1:49:42Actually, when I got this thing, that
- 1:49:44little connection over there also
- 1:49:46leaked. And there we had a weld crack.
- 1:49:50Now, I just kind of JB welded that area
- 1:49:53completely shut. And that's still
- 1:49:54holding up to this day. But actually, I
- 1:49:57need to remove this fuel tank anyway
- 1:49:59from the machine. I think I'm just going
- 1:50:00to put like a new fuel tank on it. But I
- 1:50:03just haven't had time to deal with this
- 1:50:05situation.
- 1:50:07One thing's for sure, though. I need to
- 1:50:08fix that before the winter hits because
- 1:50:10I don't want to have fuel issues with
- 1:50:12this guy during the winter time. That
- 1:50:13was just the worst experience ever. But
- 1:50:16luckily,
- 1:50:19uh, still do have a bit of time until
- 1:50:22that hits. I'm not sure how to fix this
- 1:50:24though. It's soaked into the asphalt
- 1:50:27shavings. I mean,
- 1:50:30maybe I should do like a small fire on
- 1:50:32top of it. I tried to burn it with the
- 1:50:34freaking torch, but that doesn't do
- 1:50:35anything.
- 1:50:45I'm going to use a lot of these and
- 1:50:47achieve nothing basically. So, I figured
- 1:50:49maybe let's do like a small fire. just
- 1:50:52points of sawdust or something. And if
- 1:50:56that fire runs out, the ash will mix
- 1:50:59with the shavings and maybe maybe we'll
- 1:51:02get the stain out or reduce it a bit.
- 1:51:05That's kind of ugly. Honestly, did not
- 1:51:08want that to happen.
- 1:51:34Heat. Heat.
- 1:51:54All right.
- 1:52:01All right.
- 1:52:30And hopefully the
- 1:52:32main house won't catch on fire because
- 1:52:34of this stupid stunt.
- 1:52:38It would be kind of weird to explain to
- 1:52:40the fire chief. What did the fire start
- 1:52:42off from?
- 1:52:45Oh, nothing fancy. I was just trying to
- 1:52:47burn the road,
- 1:52:50man.
- 1:53:34Three, two,
- 1:53:46We need the hard
- 1:54:05Yeah, I'm not really sure. It seemed
- 1:54:07like a good idea in the head. Not so
- 1:54:09much anymore.
- 1:54:17I just need a bath.
- 1:55:54out of fuel.
- 1:55:57But I think I think this was worth it.
- 1:55:59Maybe.
- 1:56:01I mean, I could go fetch another bottle,
- 1:56:03but maybe it's not necessary.
- 1:56:07Clearly, this thing is burning under the
- 1:56:11under the shavings as well. You're going
- 1:56:14to hear this weird
- 1:56:16pops of um air moving on under the
- 1:56:19shavings somewhere.
- 1:56:27It just doesn't get enough oxygen to
- 1:56:30light, you know, I think.
- 1:56:33So, that's that's good, right? Maybe.
- 1:57:08Look at that. These are finally ignited.
- 1:57:13Now my road is on fire.
- 1:58:04dude. I think this actually went pretty
- 1:58:05good. Maybe
- 1:58:23We don't have any wood left 100%. So the
- 1:58:27burning is currently 100%
- 1:58:30diesel, right?
- 1:58:33The more the more the burns away the
- 1:58:35better.
- 1:59:34A good thing I have that leftover bile,
- 1:59:36right?
- 1:59:39That thing has been very useful lately.
- 1:59:44Anyway, I think this actually went
- 1:59:45pretty good. Next time, oh, I will try
- 1:59:49to avoid the next time, by the way. But
- 1:59:51if if a leak does happen, a major leak,
- 1:59:54next time I think we can just completely
- 1:59:56skip the firewood and just use the spray
- 2:00:00nozzle to spray the gasoline down. And
- 2:00:03that will eventually light up the
- 2:00:05diesel, right? Like it did this time.
- 2:00:08But um I wish I had that propane
- 2:00:12flamethrower or torch. Actually, I did
- 2:00:15buy the gas bottle for it.
- 2:00:20in there.
- 2:00:23So, I have the gas, but I still need to
- 2:00:25build some type of a trolley for it or
- 2:00:27something like this. Plus, I also need
- 2:00:29to buy the flame part, torch.
- 2:00:36But guys,
- 2:00:38burning the road was not the topic of
- 2:00:40this video clearly.
- 2:00:44So, let's get back to work.
- 2:01:24Heat. Heat.
- 2:01:34Heat.
- 2:01:52Heat.
- 2:02:27Rebot.
- 2:02:44I got
- 2:03:15>> [laughter]
- 2:03:18>> There we go.
- 2:03:54Yeah, I'm kind I'm starting to run out
- 2:03:56of food
- 2:03:58for the wall.
- 2:04:07Medium rare.
- 2:04:17Heat. Heat.
- 2:04:40>> [snorts]
- 2:04:47>> Okay,
- 2:04:50before I can actually continue and
- 2:04:52finish the wall, there's there's a
- 2:04:55couple of little side missions that we
- 2:04:57need to do. Now, you maybe already
- 2:04:58noticed, but I've not continued this
- 2:05:02area so far. And that's because um I
- 2:05:05wanted to install some type of a bigger
- 2:05:08flatter
- 2:05:09rock into this area. And that's because
- 2:05:12I want to have some room for the
- 2:05:15workshop lights. I'm going to have at
- 2:05:18least three different switches for the
- 2:05:20workshop lights. One which will only
- 2:05:23light up the table side. Then the other
- 2:05:25will light up the welding side and the
- 2:05:27third will light up this side. So, I
- 2:05:30don't want to have all the lights on and
- 2:05:32the in the workshop
- 2:05:35at the same time because they're going
- 2:05:36to consume a lot of power. So, I want to
- 2:05:40have that option to play around with
- 2:05:42different lights. And I figured I want
- 2:05:44to install the sockets directly
- 2:05:48uh I mean the switches directly inside
- 2:05:50the rock face itself. So, it's going to
- 2:05:52be like inside the rock. I think I can
- 2:05:55do the, you know, drilling and carving
- 2:05:58and whatnot later once everything
- 2:06:00hardens,
- 2:06:02but in order to have plenty of room to
- 2:06:04place the switches, I want to put some
- 2:06:07type some type of a bigger rock into
- 2:06:09this corner and then we can build the
- 2:06:11rest up. And the second mission will be
- 2:06:14about the red box, which most likely I'm
- 2:06:16going to weld to that post. Now, I can't
- 2:06:19really go any higher than this at the
- 2:06:21moment because the red box itself is
- 2:06:23half a meter.
- 2:06:26So, that's going to be somewhere over
- 2:06:27there. The workt is going to be
- 2:06:3290 94 cm. So, that's going to be
- 2:06:39somewhere over there. And then the red
- 2:06:41red box will be slightly higher than the
- 2:06:43work table.
- 2:06:45And that should be that. Cuz the only
- 2:06:47issue that I currently have with the box
- 2:06:49is that it opens to the right side,
- 2:06:54you know, like that.
- 2:06:56So if we take this dude and place it
- 2:06:58there, it's going to open to the door
- 2:07:00side, which is kind of annoying.
- 2:07:04Two options, I think. Either flip the
- 2:07:07thing around, then it's going to open
- 2:07:09the other side. I'm not sure how that's
- 2:07:10going to work out. Maybe that's fine. or
- 2:07:13just re redo the hinges.
- 2:07:17Cut them off from there. Weld them on
- 2:07:19this side.
- 2:07:21But maybe the flipper will do the trick
- 2:07:24as well.
- 2:07:26Let's deal with the rock first though. I
- 2:07:29need something really flat.
- 2:08:52I'm expecting
- 2:09:53Hallelujah.
- 2:11:05I think this end should face
- 2:11:08the inside.
- 2:11:12It's quite heavy and I didn't don't
- 2:11:14think I can wiggle it into place. So,
- 2:11:23at least it's pretty stable, right?
- 2:11:28It has a nice flat
- 2:11:31flat bottom.
- 2:11:33Um, I think this side would work better.
- 2:11:37There's no perfect option, I would say.
- 2:11:40This is pretty flat as well.
- 2:11:48Such a complex decision. Hey, maybe we
- 2:11:50should choose the third option and put
- 2:11:53the dip inside.
- 2:12:29Don't go.
- 2:12:59Oh, come in.
- 2:13:17Yeah, I think that's pretty good. Once
- 2:13:20this thing is hardened and stuff,
- 2:13:23uh, I need to drill maybe one or three
- 2:13:26holes into it. And then I need to make
- 2:13:30well bigger holes for the switches so
- 2:13:33they could be inside the rock itself. I
- 2:13:36think that's going to look pretty cool,
- 2:13:37honestly. Like
- 2:13:40over there. And we should have enough
- 2:13:43space to put at least three switches
- 2:13:44here. One, two, three.
- 2:13:47It's a pretty flat rock overall. It's
- 2:13:49not the best, but finding like a perfect
- 2:13:52rock is impossible anyway, [snorts]
- 2:13:56unless you build your house directly
- 2:13:58inside bedrock or something.
- 2:14:44back. Perfect.
- 2:16:02Okay,
- 2:16:05I'm going to let that chick meditate for
- 2:16:07a bit and before I can remove the
- 2:16:10supports and work on the little red box.
- 2:16:14In the meantime though, let's throw
- 2:16:15another layer on this area.
- 2:16:42Yeah, just in case. Leave it at that.
- 2:16:47Stacking this type of rock wall is kind
- 2:16:49of annoying honestly because you can't
- 2:16:51really stack a lot. I kind of got a bit
- 2:16:53greedy. You know, I stacked too high and
- 2:16:56then I had like bunch of power out
- 2:16:58issues. The problem is pretty simple
- 2:17:00overall. You stack the face and then put
- 2:17:03bunch of mixing mix behind the face, but
- 2:17:06the weight of the mixing mix will push
- 2:17:08the face outwards.
- 2:17:10So, you can't do a lot of height
- 2:17:13in a short amount of time. But luckily,
- 2:17:16because the wall is so long, then I can
- 2:17:17do the entire
- 2:17:20the entire wall and then come back
- 2:17:22because by the time I get back, it's
- 2:17:24already hard enough. So, I can do
- 2:17:26another layer on top.
- 2:17:28But, um, you know, this side of the wall
- 2:17:30now, I think it's pretty much finished.
- 2:17:32We're only missing the final final rock
- 2:17:35layer and then the little mixy mix on
- 2:17:38top. So, two more layers to finish this
- 2:17:41wall. But, you know, let let this guy
- 2:17:43chill for a bit. Let's go deal with the
- 2:17:46red box in the meantime. I was kind of
- 2:17:48hoping that maybe I can finish this wall
- 2:17:50today, but looks like not that's not
- 2:17:53going to work. And by the way, currently
- 2:17:55we're on day four
- 2:17:58with the whenever I started stacking
- 2:18:01rocks basically.
- 2:18:03I was kind of hoping to finish this
- 2:18:05entire wall in 4 days, but uh you know,
- 2:18:08whatever. Guess we'll finish it
- 2:18:11tomorrow.
- 2:18:35Cute little box.
- 2:18:37It's actually belonged to my
- 2:18:41I think it was the cousin Nesses and the
- 2:18:44female part of the
- 2:18:47region
- 2:18:49but uh they never picked it up so I made
- 2:18:53it into a battery box.
- 2:18:56I think it's a pretty good box overall.
- 2:18:58Might need a better security lock
- 2:19:00though. [snorts]
- 2:19:22dude. I think this is fine. I mean
- 2:19:35should work.
- 2:19:40I'm really kind of unsure though.
- 2:19:44Clearly, it's going to be annoying if
- 2:19:45it's going to open this side, right?
- 2:19:47Because we're going to have the table up
- 2:19:49to this point and then or you need to go
- 2:19:51like that and then open it like that.
- 2:19:53So, that's kind of annoying, right? I
- 2:19:56know. But then again, I was planning to
- 2:19:57put that glass sticker wall right over
- 2:20:02there. So then we're going to open the
- 2:20:04thing against that glass door.
- 2:20:07That's bad as well. Like no good options
- 2:20:09here. But I think it's still should open
- 2:20:12that way because dude, it's really
- 2:20:14annoying to open it this way. Plus, it's
- 2:20:16probably going to swing
- 2:20:20and cover the pathway somewhat. So
- 2:20:23that's going to be annoying as well.
- 2:20:26I mean, I don't know. Wish there was
- 2:20:28some type of AI who would tell me what
- 2:20:31to do.
- 2:20:40Which way
- 2:20:43should I put
- 2:20:46this stupid red
- 2:20:50box?
- 2:20:56Oh man, such a generic answer. That's
- 2:20:59not going to help. I think it should I
- 2:21:02think it should go to that side honestly
- 2:21:05because if you come into the workshop,
- 2:21:07you need batteries. You open it up from
- 2:21:10somewhere over here. Goes there. Grab
- 2:21:13your batteries. Close the box and then
- 2:21:15deal with the stuff inside the glass
- 2:21:17cabinet, right? I mean, the thing
- 2:21:20shouldn't stay open anyway, right? It
- 2:21:22actually needs to stay closed as much as
- 2:21:24possible because of the
- 2:21:27fiery situation of lithium
- 2:21:30ion batteries,
- 2:21:32right?
- 2:21:47Yeah. Okay.
- 2:21:48It's called the concrete truck.
- 2:22:13I think that's pretty okay. Yeah, it's
- 2:22:16going to be slightly out from the wall,
- 2:22:18but not a lot.
- 2:22:20I think uh I think it's better that it's
- 2:22:23going to be slightly out.
- 2:22:26Uh no clearance problems, you know,
- 2:22:29when opening the door. I mean,
- 2:23:06Whoa.
- 2:23:09Dancing ball of steel. Look at that.
- 2:23:30I Okay,
- 2:23:33I kind of never checked level. I put the
- 2:23:36dings on, but [laughter] I never checked
- 2:23:38level. So, that's pretty okay.
- 2:23:41this kind.
- 2:23:45Maybe it's fine though. Maybe
- 2:24:18That's
- 2:24:31Hey,
- 2:25:20Wow.
- 2:25:23Smells like what the next
- 2:25:41The workshop table will be going begin
- 2:25:43from there.
- 2:25:46So that that's that's good.
- 2:26:49And most of you are aware by now that
- 2:26:53we've been doing stupid ass rock wall
- 2:26:55builds for an entire month now roughly.
- 2:26:59And I was just kind of wondering on a
- 2:27:01scale of one
- 2:27:06and let's be modest. On a scale of one
- 2:27:08to two, how bored are you?
- 2:27:14Now, I think I already know what most of
- 2:27:16you guys are going to say,
- 2:27:19that you're not bored at all.
- 2:27:22And I have to agree with you. Actually,
- 2:27:25this has not been very boring for me.
- 2:27:33Heat. Heat.
- 2:28:01Heat.
- 2:28:26Heat.
- 2:28:32Okay.
- 2:29:39But yeah,
- 2:29:41this whole adventure has actually been
- 2:29:43quite fun.
- 2:29:45I mean, look at those things, [snorts]
- 2:29:48bro. That's something that will outlast
- 2:29:50all dance bands, right? Will outlast the
- 2:29:53entire building.
- 2:29:58Not quite done yet, though.
- 2:31:20Cry.
- 2:31:59man.
- 2:32:16bloody empty again. But uh
- 2:32:21excuse them more. I'm going to go take a
- 2:32:24little nap.
- 2:32:28We'll finish this crap tomorrow.
- 2:32:48Oh man,
- 2:32:50that's that's not built for evil.
- 2:33:31Yeah.
- 2:33:51Heat. Heat.
- 2:34:15Last bag of mortar.
- 2:34:18Last batch of rocks to finish.
- 2:34:32I need
- 2:34:47I mean um will you join me for one last
- 2:34:51All right.
- 2:35:32I need your
- 2:35:38baby.
- 2:35:55You guys heard anything? I don't know. I
- 2:35:58got points of tailor in my ear.
- 2:36:31hands of a surgeon. Look at that.
- 2:36:42Or maybe a Indian fast food
- 2:36:47merchant.
- 2:37:07Dude, I think I forgot the stupid hand
- 2:37:09th inside the mixer again.
- 2:37:15Luckily,
- 2:37:18I seem to have a spare as well.
- 2:37:29Very
- 2:37:40good.
- 2:37:46Yeah, guys, I've had this ever since the
- 2:37:48beginning. I mean, we basically done
- 2:37:50everything with it all the way from the
- 2:37:52Gabin
- 2:37:54and everything. Although [snorts] it's
- 2:37:56kind of starting to show um to show its
- 2:37:58age, right?
- 2:38:03And we got to do something special with
- 2:38:05this
- 2:38:10[snorts]
- 2:38:16B for
- 2:38:20you. Good.
- 2:38:56Oh, by the way,
- 2:38:58want to show my shovel.
- 2:39:04I've had this shovel over 10 years. I
- 2:39:06think I have like three more of these
- 2:39:08and I kind of shuffle around. I don't
- 2:39:10always use the same, but dude, this uh
- 2:39:15these Fiskars Sos are actually pretty
- 2:39:18good. I mean, they basically last
- 2:39:23then I think it's safe to say they they
- 2:39:25basically last forever.
- 2:39:33No, man. I still need this
- 2:39:37one last bit in there, guys.
- 2:42:10I just ignored that part. [snorts]
- 2:42:12It was always part of the plan.
- 2:42:16But dude,
- 2:42:18check out that mess. Wow,
- 2:42:23dude. It's finally finished.
- 2:42:30I actually started the rock mission
- 2:42:35uh with this wall. I think this was
- 2:42:36episode
- 2:42:40two or No, this was episode three. Yeah.
- 2:42:44At the moment I started that wall, it
- 2:42:45was somewhere in the end of July. Right
- 2:42:48now it's the end of August.
- 2:42:51For you guys, probably
- 2:42:54July next year if lucky. But uh yeah,
- 2:42:57over a month to fix that wall, to build
- 2:43:00that wall, and then build that wall.
- 2:43:03Slightly over a month.
- 2:43:07Dude, this was never part of the plan.
- 2:43:09Yeah, I never planned to do this,
- 2:43:10actually. I always figured I'm going to
- 2:43:12have a wooden wall there. Going to leave
- 2:43:14the logs there. And I'm only going to
- 2:43:16fix up the center part, which by the way
- 2:43:20now looks like that's the ugliest piece
- 2:43:23of work, right? I don't know. It looks
- 2:43:25pretty cool while I was building it on
- 2:43:28video, but right now as I look at it, I
- 2:43:31it looks like bunch of
- 2:43:35and some mix.
- 2:43:37I know. Maybe if we Well, actually, I'm
- 2:43:41not finished with the walls yet.
- 2:43:46I still need to brush clean that and
- 2:43:48then apply the varnish or something.
- 2:43:52Maybe that's going to make everything
- 2:43:53look cool. I'm not really sure. But, uh,
- 2:43:57if you kind of compare that wall to that
- 2:44:00wall, there's like a clear difference,
- 2:44:02right?
- 2:44:04I think that's a lot better. It's a lot
- 2:44:06better looking. And I and I did try like
- 2:44:09a couple of things differently. I tried
- 2:44:11to keep a straight line for starters. So
- 2:44:15this one actually came out pretty
- 2:44:16straight. It's like kind kind of bumpy
- 2:44:19on some spots, but overall the wall is
- 2:44:22like pretty straight. Can't say the same
- 2:44:24for that because that kind of went all
- 2:44:26over the place. If you if you look at it
- 2:44:29at face value, then it's pretty
- 2:44:31straight. But if you go on the side, not
- 2:44:34so much. So with that wall, I I try to
- 2:44:36keep a straight face as much as
- 2:44:38possible. Plus, instead of using massive
- 2:44:41amount massive amounts of bigger rocks,
- 2:44:44I decided to go with smaller rocks. And
- 2:44:47dude, I think that actually made it look
- 2:44:48a lot better.
- 2:44:50Maybe you guys have your own opinions or
- 2:44:53something, but personally for me, that
- 2:44:56looks like 10 times better than that
- 2:44:58wall. Now, as you can see, there's like
- 2:45:00a bunch of bigger rocks there, and you
- 2:45:02can't really fit the bigger bigger ones
- 2:45:04very well, especially if they're like
- 2:45:06round.
- 2:45:08Uh, but there with the smaller rocks,
- 2:45:10you have a lot more a lot more playroom.
- 2:45:13I suppose the only minus is that you
- 2:45:16can't really stack very high. As I
- 2:45:17already explained, the mass behind the
- 2:45:20face will push the face out, but that's
- 2:45:22not really a problem if your wall is so
- 2:45:25long. And you can just kind of go that
- 2:45:27way and then start from there again. Go
- 2:45:30another another layer. So, um yeah, all
- 2:45:34in all, I think this this this wall came
- 2:45:36out 10 times better than that wall. Uh
- 2:45:38the outside wall that I fixed,
- 2:45:42this one is kind of all over the place
- 2:45:43as well. But, you know, this one came
- 2:45:46out pretty okay as well, but
- 2:45:49it's not level at all. It's actually
- 2:45:53the wall is supposed to be like
- 2:45:55vertical, right? This one is somewhat
- 2:45:58some somewhat like that. So, it's um
- 2:46:02leaning outwards, but I just kind of
- 2:46:05built it like that. So, it did not sag
- 2:46:08outwards. I mean, I just kind of built
- 2:46:10it like that.
- 2:46:12And as I was building it, I tried to
- 2:46:13keep an eye on it, but I guess I don't
- 2:46:16have eyes or they don't work.
- 2:46:20But um this one
- 2:46:24came out pretty good. Also, I already
- 2:46:26have like a nice shelf, right? Because
- 2:46:29the wall, the wooden wall will be there.
- 2:46:32So, I already have a nice shelf right
- 2:46:35over there. But yeah, if we're dark in
- 2:46:37numbers, then over a month to build all
- 2:46:39these wall four walls. One, two, three,
- 2:46:42four. Yeah, four. And uh I always like
- 2:46:46to run some numbers by you guys like how
- 2:46:49much did I spend on building these and
- 2:46:53uh is it worth it or not?
- 2:47:01So out of pocket that much in a ros by
- 2:47:06the way 1,100 bucks it's just for the
- 2:47:10materials you know m mix mortar
- 2:47:13uh rebar mesh
- 2:47:16and u that's about it. I did not count
- 2:47:20the steel that I used to support the
- 2:47:22log. That's another deal. Uh, and I'm
- 2:47:26not going to account for the fuel that I
- 2:47:28used for this um project as well. So,
- 2:47:31about 1,100 bucks, I guess.
- 2:47:35Not bad, right? Uh, I'm kind of curious
- 2:47:37how much it would have cost if I just
- 2:47:40ordered like bricks that will make the
- 2:47:41walls or cinder blocks perhaps. Maybe it
- 2:47:45would have been even cheaper.
- 2:47:49Probably not.
- 2:47:536 1520
- 2:48:04bricks
- 2:48:06for a single layer.
- 2:48:13165 per piece. Okay.
- 2:48:17Something like that. Dude, that's like
- 2:48:20four grand in bricks, bro. to make the
- 2:48:23same square meter space. But that's only
- 2:48:26one single layer. If I want to do the
- 2:48:30other side as well, then I need more
- 2:48:32bricks, right? I could also fill the
- 2:48:35center with some concrete mass. That
- 2:48:38would save some
- 2:48:40money, I guess. But dude, no, bricks are
- 2:48:43much more expensive. What about cinder
- 2:48:46blocks?
- 2:48:49420 cinder blocks.
- 2:48:54How expensive are those? I don't know.
- 2:48:56I've never bought them.
- 2:49:00Well, in a while.
- 2:49:03280. H. Dude, this thing is actually
- 2:49:06much cheaper than the stupid brick. Much
- 2:49:09bigger as well.
- 2:49:178.
- 2:49:19Okay. Look at that.
- 2:49:22If we cinder plucked everything, then uh
- 2:49:24it would have been roughly the same
- 2:49:26price. Wow. Well, I still need to buy
- 2:49:29the mortar, right? I did not account for
- 2:49:31that. And I also need to fill the
- 2:49:34insides of the cinder block with the mix
- 2:49:38as well. No, it's more man. I I can't do
- 2:49:42math. What the
- 2:49:52Yeah, it's more. It's double actually.
- 2:49:55We saved quite a bit of money here,
- 2:49:57right? Only one only, 1100 bucks to
- 2:50:00build these walls, but the brick wall
- 2:50:01would have been like five grand and the
- 2:50:03cinder block wall would have been two
- 2:50:05plus grand at least. And we built this
- 2:50:08for one. Wow. And yes, I also accounted
- 2:50:12the 50 bucks of rocks the guy delivered.
- 2:50:15So that's that's there as well. And I
- 2:50:18personally think this looks much cooler
- 2:50:20than bunch of boring bricks. I'm sure
- 2:50:23you guys would agree as well. Also,
- 2:50:26check the thickness out. I mean, this
- 2:50:28one came a bit fatter than I wanted it
- 2:50:31to come,
- 2:50:33but not a lot. So, we ended up Well, I
- 2:50:37kind of started off from 35, but we
- 2:50:39ended up
- 2:50:41uh around 40, I guess. So, not that bad.
- 2:50:44That wall was 75. So that's much
- 2:50:47thicker.
- 2:50:49And uh this one ended up being I think
- 2:50:52it's like 60 maybe.
- 2:50:56No, about 50. Dude, I'm kind of curious
- 2:50:59how much is it in math? How much did we
- 2:51:02add to the footing of the building? Uh
- 2:51:05in weight
- 2:51:07h
- 2:51:09back to the math department. One moment.
- 2:51:24roughly 16 cubic m of
- 2:51:28solid wall or mass that we added on top
- 2:51:33of the foundation.
- 2:51:3540 to 45 tons. Wow,
- 2:51:41dude. We almost added like three Josephs
- 2:51:45right here into the walls. What?
- 2:51:51Man,
- 2:51:53a couple of rock walls inside the
- 2:51:55workshop. Way more than the entire
- 2:51:57stupid cabin.
- 2:52:00Bro, what? not including the Gabin's
- 2:52:02footing though because that thing is
- 2:52:04just
- 2:52:08but anyway guys a huge milestone has
- 2:52:10been achieved regarding the workshop
- 2:52:12project overall with this video now that
- 2:52:15the walls are finished
- 2:52:17then everything else that I need to do
- 2:52:19won't take me that long of a time I mean
- 2:52:22over a month just to build couple of
- 2:52:24walls now obviously I'm I still have a
- 2:52:27lot of work that needs to be done inside
- 2:52:29the workshop up just to kind of name a
- 2:52:33few. I need to make that wall I mean
- 2:52:35sorry uh the work table all the way to
- 2:52:38that corner. So that's going to be a
- 2:52:40concrete workt as well. Chimney need to
- 2:52:43build that building table needs to
- 2:52:45upgrade and uh I need to finish all the
- 2:52:50ceilings, all the walls, uh electricity
- 2:52:53part, paint and uh whatnot. But those
- 2:52:56are um the types of chores I guess which
- 2:52:59kind of go pretty fast. I I wouldn't say
- 2:53:03I can get a lot done in a single day,
- 2:53:05you know. So it's not going to take me
- 2:53:07several days just to
- 2:53:10fill a small section of something. So
- 2:53:13with this episode, episode number five,
- 2:53:16uh I think we're maybe like 60 or 70%
- 2:53:20through of all the work that is required
- 2:53:23for this project. Definitely over the
- 2:53:25halfway point now, but still a lot to
- 2:53:28do. Regarding the wall though,
- 2:53:31particularly the rock mass wall. I'm
- 2:53:34going to notice the pattern. You know,
- 2:53:35way back when when I started making
- 2:53:39renovation work on the property. Uh
- 2:53:41there was these two
- 2:53:44chimneys, I guess, and we to them down
- 2:53:47because they were like 100 years old,
- 2:53:49but I kept the bricks. I did not throw
- 2:53:50them away. And now I I think I used most
- 2:53:54of those bricks up building something.
- 2:53:58Now we got that little retaining wall.
- 2:54:00Those are made out of the same bricks.
- 2:54:04And this was this was the first project
- 2:54:05I ever did with the bricks actually. Uh
- 2:54:08because the sauna was um the two bottom
- 2:54:10logs were completely rot out. I just
- 2:54:12replaced them with bricks.
- 2:54:15Good 100y old bricks still serving a
- 2:54:18purpose, right?
- 2:54:20And at the cabin
- 2:54:29should be
- 2:54:36stupid technology.
- 2:54:39Piece of crap.
- 2:54:44Why do things just break for no reason?
- 2:54:47But uh yeah, at the cabin, this was the
- 2:54:50final place I used up the last remaining
- 2:54:52bricks. And uh I built like a face to
- 2:54:56that concrete wall. And it's also behind
- 2:54:58that cart wedge. Sadly, I did not have
- 2:55:01enough uh to make the entire face on
- 2:55:03this area. So I just kind of ended up
- 2:55:05cutting the wider bricks all the way in
- 2:55:08half from the center. It was quite a
- 2:55:10rare episode on the Gavin series. Maybe
- 2:55:14you guys remember that one.
- 2:55:16in the middle of the in the middle of
- 2:55:18the winter. All the snow was like bread.
- 2:55:21But uh to be honest, I kind of like
- 2:55:23these bricks because they've been
- 2:55:26they've been uh chimney bricks the
- 2:55:28entire lifetime. Then they're completely
- 2:55:30filled with tar as you can see. And
- 2:55:33sometimes they just kind of sweat like
- 2:55:35that. Sweat pure dar out of them.
- 2:55:42And for some that might be a big no no,
- 2:55:44but for me personally, I think that's
- 2:55:45pretty unique and u pretty cool. But
- 2:55:49what I'm trying to say here is that um
- 2:55:52because I ran out of those bricks,
- 2:55:55uh I've been kind of forcing myself to
- 2:55:57start using materials that I just kind
- 2:56:00of on my backyard, you know,
- 2:56:03for example, rocks. Got plenty of those,
- 2:56:06right? That's like a
- 2:56:08neverending supply of that stuff.
- 2:56:14But anyway, believe it or not, I'm not
- 2:56:17quite done with the walls yet. So,
- 2:56:20nothing serious. I just need to clean
- 2:56:22the walls up and then apply some type of
- 2:56:24finish on it. So, we'll do that in the
- 2:56:26next video. I need to wait for this to
- 2:56:28gear anyway.
- 2:56:30And uh beyond that, I'm not really sure.
- 2:56:32I need to choose what to do next.
- 2:56:35I've been kind of thinking maybe the
- 2:56:37concrete table, but that's kind of
- 2:56:41that's sort of a maybe right now. Maybe
- 2:56:44it's better if I finish the walls first
- 2:56:46and then do the table against the wall.
- 2:56:51Not really sure.
- 2:56:57Oh, I also need to make another wall
- 2:57:01here as well. you know, from there,
- 2:57:04remove the siding boards and just stack
- 2:57:06a rock mass wall against the cinder
- 2:57:08block as well. So, that's going to match
- 2:57:11up a bit better. But, I'm pretty sure
- 2:57:13I'm not going to do it this year. That's
- 2:57:15not like a priority.
- 2:57:19However, if we do have enough time, then
- 2:57:21I'm going to try to tackle that as well.
- 2:57:24As for this one though, I'm going to go
- 2:57:27before I say as well one more time.
- 2:57:35That guy said bye. So bye.
