  1. 0:00the problem is is we don't teach people
  2. 0:01how to lead right when you're very very
  3. 0:03Junior we give people tons of training
  4. 0:05how to do their jobs some people get
  5. 0:07Advanced degrees how to do their jobs so
  6. 0:09that they'll be good at them and if
  7. 0:10you're really good at your job will
  8. 0:12promote you and eventually you get
  9. 0:14promoted to a position where you're now
  10. 0:15responsible for the people who do the
  11. 0:17job you used to do and we don't teach
  12. 0:18you how to do that so how can we expect
  13. 0:20people to be good at their jobs if we
  14. 0:21don't train them how to do it like would
  15. 0:23you go see a doctor that didn't go to
  16. 0:24medical school
  17. 0:25know so why would we work for a leader
  18. 0:27who has no training in being a leader
  19. 0:30that's why we get managers that that's
  20. 0:32why we get micromanagers that's why we
  21. 0:34get toxicity it's not because they're
  22. 0:35bad people it's because they don't know
  23. 0:37what they're doing and they're making it
  24. 0:39up as they go along
