- 1:10[music]
- 1:10Good morning, Rob Ravens. Please stand
- 1:13for the pledge. A moment of reflection.
- 1:18I pledge allegiance to the flag of the
- 1:20United States of America [music]
- 1:22and to the republic for which it stands,
- 1:25one nation under God, indivisible, with
- 1:28liberty and [music] justice for all. We
- 1:30make sure that regardless of the time of
- 1:33the year, the weather, whatever we may
- 1:36be going through, we come together, we
- 1:38bond together, and we make sure the
- 1:40learning and teaching happens.
- 1:43Thank you. Have a great rob.
- 1:50All right.
- 1:59[music]
- 2:07>> Hi everyone, my name is Elaine. Um, I
- 2:09work for First Commonwealth. I work at
- 2:12the Eastn location and we are here to
- 2:15teach you guys about financial literacy.
- 2:17We will be with you for the next 12
- 2:18weeks. Um we are going to be teaching
- 2:20you things from budgeting, your gross
- 2:23income, taxes, how to read a check. So
- 2:26when you guys see your first paycheck, I
- 2:28would love to see all the faces that you
- 2:31guys make when you see how much taxes
- 2:32get out of your paycheck that first one.
- 2:34Um yeah, I am a single mom of three
- 2:37kids.
- 2:41>> [laughter]
- 2:43>> There you go. That's a good deal. Three
- 2:45for 20.
- 2:46>> I got you.
- 2:46>> Here you go.
- 2:47>> I got you.
- 2:50[music]
- 3:03[music]
- 3:09>> [music]
- 3:16[music]
- 3:19>> So then whenever they had [music] this
- 3:22pilot program, they were just they came
- 3:23to me right away and was like, "Hey, um,
- 3:27we're going to start as like an
- 3:28afterchool program. is this something
- 3:30that you'd be interested in coming into
- 3:32the school and teaching the kids a
- 3:33little bit like financial literacy and
- 3:35stuff? And then that's when I don't know
- 3:38it was it it worked out really really
- 3:40good that I was just like okay so what's
- 3:42next and like they were like oh we'll do
- 3:44another after school program and I'm
- 3:45just like oh that's it. Then Izzy came
- 3:47to me and he was like
- 3:48>> would you want to teach this in the
- 3:50classroom?
- 3:51>> And I was like I would.
- 3:53>> So who here wants to get a job?
- 3:56>> So you guys want to get a job? Yes. Yes.
- 4:00>> Do you guys know how to fill out your
- 4:01forms to get a job?
- 4:02>> No.
- 4:03>> No. Right. You don't even know what
- 4:04forms they are, right?
- 4:05>> Yeah.
- 4:05>> Application.
- 4:07>> An application. But when you get the
- 4:08job, how do you get paid for it?
- 4:10>> No.
- 4:10>> Uh checks.
- 4:12>> No, cuz it's supposed to be five.
- 4:13>> I work to 7:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. So, how
- 4:18many hours is that? And how much I get
- 4:20paid? I get paid 50 a day.
- 4:22>> 25 divided by what?
- 4:23>> By four.
- 4:24>> Okay.
- 4:26>> 6.5. 6.25. 25.
- 4:28>> Okay. So then that's how much you're
- 4:29making an hour on Sunday. So then you
- 4:31make you said so you're making $75 for
- 4:33two days.
- 4:35>> Remember like I said about your money.
- 4:36If you ain't getting paid right, your
- 4:38boss ain't going to care. You ain't
- 4:38getting paid right. As long as you ain't
- 4:40getting overpaid. If you underpaid, they
- 4:42will never catch that. But if you
- 4:44getting overpaid, they going to catch
- 4:45that.
- 4:48>> Slide
- 4:56right now. No.
- 4:57Samuel, please sit down in your seat.
- 5:00>> The company you work for will always be
- 5:02on your payub.
- 5:04>> Who do I work for?
- 5:08>> Anyone?
- 5:10>> Yeah. Go ahead. Say it.
- 5:11>> FedEx.
- 5:12>> Really?
- 5:13>> I get you 100%. Like
- 5:15>> I was you.
- 5:16>> I was you. I get it. Like you are here
- 5:19coming into the school and a lot of you
- 5:20probably have to walk to school versus
- 5:22somebody that's in another school
- 5:24district get dropped out by the parents
- 5:25every day. Like I lived in Fish Street,
- 5:27baby girl. I was walking every day from
- 5:28Fish Street. I mean, my parents used to
- 5:29give me my bus money, but it's like I
- 5:31used to save it because I used to buy
- 5:33other stuff. But it's even then like
- 5:34public bus like I would have to like to
- 5:36me that
- 5:37>> know the schedule and who still blows my
- 5:39mind. Like I remember going when I went
- 5:41to Der and it was like how is it that
- 5:43they got us going on a public bus?
- 5:46>> Like that makes no they still do that.
- 5:48Like why don't they have a bus for the
- 5:49kids? Who knows?
- 5:51>> Yeah.
- 5:51>> Like and it's just like it always shown
- 5:53like growing up like you clearly were
- 5:55different. Like there was always like
- 5:56what was said about you.
- 5:57>> Everybody's gonna have different roles,
- 5:59but everybody's gonna deal with money.
- 6:01So if you understand money now, you're
- 6:03going to be way better off in life.
- 6:05>> Is there anything you wish you'd learned
- 6:07about money when you were growing up?
- 6:08>> Oh yeah. How to save it, not touch it.
- 6:13Uh put it into account, I guess. So
- 6:17u you know that can make money.
- 6:19>> I love money. I love money. And
- 6:23everybody in Allentown loves money as
- 6:25well.
- 6:28>> Save more, spend less, and understand
- 6:30taxes. I wish I was taught more about
- 6:33that.
- 6:34>> Money can pay bills.
- 6:37Money can pay anything, but money cannot
- 6:39buy happiness.
- 6:41You can buy whatever you want. You can
- 6:43buy the judge if you want. You can buy
- 6:45the law. You can buy the police if you
- 6:47want. But bunny don't buy happiness.
- 6:50That's got to come from from from you.
- 6:52>> Yeah.
- 6:52>> From right. Um, national anthem first.
- 6:56Make sure you're sitting with your voice
- 6:57parts straight.
- 7:02>> Okay. One, two, three. One, two.
- 7:08[singing]
- 7:10>> When you think about money, what do you
- 7:12think about? What's the first like thing
- 7:13that comes to mind?
- 7:15>> Food.
- 7:16>> When it comes to money, I think of food.
- 7:18>> Food. Yeah,
- 7:19>> I think buy my parents a house. You
- 7:22going to get a bigger house going live
- 7:25some food. You know you got to eat pay
- 7:28my parents' bills. Get a nice house.
- 7:33>> You laughing but you not going to get to
- 7:35it before me.
- 7:37>> Same.
- 7:37>> But yeah, that's it.
- 7:40The [singing] bones bursting in
- 7:44gave proof through the [music] night.
- 7:48[singing]
- 7:48>> What do you want to What do you want to
- 7:49do when you grow up?
- 7:50>> Um, I want to go to the NBA, you know.
- 7:54>> You want to go to the NBA?
- 7:55>> Yeah.
- 7:57>> Um, by doing what I got to do, you know.
- 8:00>> Yeah.
- 8:00>> What do you think? Do you play
- 8:01basketball now?
- 8:02>> Um, yeah. I play for Rob Middle School,
- 8:05you know.
- 8:05>> How you looking? Um, not bad, not good.
- 8:09Still got to work our stuff.
- 8:10>> So, NBA might be kind of a long shot
- 8:12situation.
- 8:13>> Yeah.
- 8:14>> What?
- 8:14>> We were singing part two.
- 8:16>> No, you weren't singing part two at the
- 8:17end.
- 8:17>> You weren't singing part two, but you
- 8:19went down with part two at the end. You
- 8:21do not go down. They do.
- 8:25[singing]
- 8:27>> Are you going to the dance?
- 8:28>> Yes.
- 8:29>> Okay. Did you get a suit?
- 8:32>> Um, I don't have one. I might ask my mom
- 8:33for one.
- 8:34>> You're going to get one? Well, let us
- 8:35know if you need that suit, man.
- 8:37>> Will you give me a suit?
- 8:38>> We'll work on it for sure.
- 8:40>> China, are you coming?
- 8:44[laughter] She's running.
- 8:47Oh, I love it.
- 8:50>> Yo,
- 8:52[laughter]
- 8:53that's it. You ran all that way to to
- 8:55say that.
- 8:56>> Oh, man. You should have said something
- 8:58about Rob then.
- 9:00>> Yeah, probably.
- 9:04All right. Good afternoon or good
- 9:05evening everyone. Thank you for being
- 9:07here. Um and we got to get fired up,
- 9:10right? Cuz every single time we meet,
- 9:12it's later during the day and uh we've
- 9:16been working all day. So, we're a little
- 9:17tired, right? Does everybody know and
- 9:20understand what they say after fired up?
- 9:23>> Ready to go.
- 9:24>> Ready to go. All right. So, fired up.
- 9:27>> Ready to go.
- 9:28>> Fired up.
- 9:29>> Ready to go.
- 9:30>> All right. Here we go. So when you're
- 9:32thinking of this school governance
- 9:33council and you're thinking of Rob
- 9:35Middle School specifically, what is
- 9:37something that the kids need? What is
- 9:39something that the parents need? And
- 9:40what is something that the teachers
- 9:41need? Does not have to be all the same
- 9:43answers.
- 9:44>> It can be whatever comes to your mind.
- 9:57>> Each one of you plays a role at Rob in
- 9:59one way or another. So, it's nice to see
- 10:02if there's some consistent themes. So,
- 10:04when we're looking at what the staff
- 10:05needs, I see support, support,
- 10:09resources, self-care, peer support, uh
- 10:12their needs met, support, support,
- 10:15better pay, uh district support, funds.
- 10:18So, we're looking at what the parent
- 10:20needs are. accountability, training on
- 10:22how to help and support their children,
- 10:25uh open and timely communication,
- 10:27support, flexibility to meet, uh more
- 10:30resources,
- 10:32challen uh to navigate challenging
- 10:34situations with students, resources.
- 10:37Again, that's what we need to figure out
- 10:40is how best to implement all of this as
- 10:43community, as staff, as parents,
- 10:45teachers, whatever it may be. You can
- 10:48get stuck in thinking that outcomes is
- 10:53the only thing that's important.
- 10:56I want to say how proud I am of my
- 10:58teachers, my staff, my leadership team
- 11:01and sticking to processes, procedures,
- 11:05structures um to create conditions where
- 11:09students can learn and thrive. That is
- 11:11resiliency, right? And when we talk
- 11:13about resiliency, that doesn't always
- 11:15match up with with outcomes.
- 11:18>> I was tempted
- 11:23[music] tempted by [singing] your smile.
- 11:27I was tempted.
- 11:31>> [music]
- 11:31>> And for a little [singing] while I was
- 11:36certain
- 11:39>> that I will be the one to change you and
- 11:42[singing] you will be mine.
- 11:50>> I feel like they don't have much
- 11:51business classes and stuff like that.
- 11:54Stuff about money, you know, how the
- 11:56world works. Teach us about paying
- 11:58bills, stuff like that. You know, I feel
- 12:00like he don't teach us that in school.
- 12:01>> It's just more like motivation on doing
- 12:03bad things cuz that's what a lot of
- 12:04grown grown folks do out here. Not not
- 12:06saying everybody, it's good and bad.
- 12:07It's ying and yang everywhere, you know,
- 12:09>> but mostly that's what it is.
- 12:12>> So, I feel like if you get more
- 12:13guidance, more of a leadway to be good,
- 12:15more like it take a village to raise a
- 12:17kid. We all know this. So, if there's a
- 12:19lot of good people around a good kid, I
- 12:21feel like they could be whatever they
- 12:22want to be. When you're an adult, it it
- 12:25makes me so angry because you don't get
- 12:27the weight of the real life.
- 12:30Sometime in your life,
- 12:32>> you're going to have to buy your own
- 12:34house. And if you're going to get
- 12:36married, spend like $10,000 on that. And
- 12:40not to mention your taxes, bills, rent.
- 12:42Buying a house right now is really bad
- 12:45as it is.
- 12:46>> Since since 2008, it's been bad. And not
- 12:49to mention cars and paying off your car
- 12:52and repairing it. You don't get the
- 12:54weight of reality.
- 12:55>> When I'm in my 40s and my parents are
- 12:59are gone,
- 13:01>> what am I going to do?
- 13:02>> Yeah.
- 13:03>> I'm going to be alone. I'm going to I'm
- 13:06going to have a life of my own and I
- 13:10have to be able to manage my own life.
- 13:12>> Yes. I remember vividly being in raw
- 13:15middle school and I just was like wow
- 13:18when I grow up I want to do something
- 13:19like I it sounds corny but literally I
- 13:21was like when I grow because I'm very
- 13:23passionate about like helping people and
- 13:25stuff like that. So I was like I know I
- 13:26want to do something that makes a
- 13:27difference. Obviously, I want to help
- 13:29everybody financially, but I'm Hispanic,
- 13:31you know, like I'm Dominican. Like my
- 13:33background, I know that a lot of times,
- 13:34you know,
- 13:35>> you have hardworking families. They tell
- 13:37you work, work, work, but they don't
- 13:38teach you about money. Like they don't
- 13:39teach you like they could they still
- 13:41teach you save, but that's much it. Like
- 13:43that's the save and that's it. Okay,
- 13:44what else? Like what else do I do with
- 13:46that? So, it was for me, I was like, I
- 13:48really want to reach that community and
- 13:50help. And like in Allentown, I've
- 13:52definitely been able to do it with my
- 13:53members. Like, I help them so much.
- 13:58starting with them. It's just like
- 14:02the time you're making a world of
- 14:04difference for them.
- 14:09>> So that doesn't change the value of the
- 14:12car. What it changes is your interest
- 14:14rate. So having a low
- 14:17cheaper for the car,
- 14:21>> the yellow, the green, and the blue. It
- 14:23is not multiple choice. You're not just
- 14:25circling one and moving on. You got to
- 14:28actually tell me what goes in those
- 14:30blocks. Are you making beats for
- 14:33somebody else? And Oh, okay.
- 14:35>> Right. But the thing is that the most I
- 14:37was ever paid was probably like 400.
- 14:39>> Yeah.
- 14:40>> Right.
- 14:40>> 400 is good. But it wasn't like
- 14:43>> it was like cash.
- 14:44>> All right. That's how you start.
- 14:46>> It wasn't like
- 14:48>> think so like would that be like I would
- 14:49have to put that on taxes.
- 14:51>> No, baby. Not at your age. But well
- 14:53eventually if you would this is the
- 14:54career path that you're going to go on.
- 14:56You know you'll be like self-employed
- 14:58and then you'll you know
- 15:00>> I'm not going to lie. This right?
- 15:03>> My my homeboy right he had told me
- 15:07that cuz a long time ago I'm not going
- 15:10to lie to you. had a mean gambling
- 15:11addiction. [laughter]
- 15:13>> Really?
- 15:13>> When I made my first $100 check.
- 15:18>> I'm mad you said that. So, I'm going to
- 15:19let you know I used to work at a casino
- 15:21and I see wild things in a casino.
- 15:23People
- 15:25>> I spent my first $100 at a casino.
- 15:27>> Gambling
- 15:29mess.
- 15:29>> I was gambling hard as hell.
- 15:32>> No, we not doing that. Can we not? You
- 15:34work so hard. I'm just saying you work
- 15:36way too hard. No.
- 15:38>> Yes.
- 15:38>> You work too hard for your money to be
- 15:41gambling and throwing it away.
- 15:43>> I know. That's why I stopped doing it.
- 15:44>> We should stop doing it.
- 15:45>> Cuz I lost like a good $1,000 doing it.
- 15:48>> Yeah. And how'd that feel? Imagine if
- 15:50you had that $1,000.
- 15:51>> I cried in my bed.
- 15:52>> You should so serious. I cried in
- 15:55[clears throat] my bed now.
- 15:56>> Yeah, we can't do all that.
- 15:57>> Yeah, we can't do all that.
- 15:59>> Would you ever go back to doing casino
- 16:01work?
- 16:02>> Um, like it was just a lot. And then
- 16:04plus the lifestyle is different. Like
- 16:06when I was working,
- 16:08even when I was working pregnant,
- 16:10>> yeah,
- 16:11>> there are situations where like I'm
- 16:13getting yelled at.
- 16:14>> I'm getting screamed on. Like these
- 16:16people lost thousands of dollars. I've
- 16:18seen wild things. People their rent,
- 16:21their mortgage, their
- 16:23>> maybe do financial advice outside the
- 16:25casino. Be like, "Hey, come to the
- 16:27problem.
- 16:28>> Let me help you with that."
- 16:29>> No, I'm serious though. Like I've
- 16:31there's people who jumped off the casino
- 16:33and everything. like wild things I've
- 16:35seen and I was just like I can't I'm
- 16:38like I can't continue to keep Yeah. I
- 16:41think that's why it was such an easy
- 16:42transition to do financial counseling
- 16:44cuz I'm here like I've seen a lot of
- 16:46wild things and how gambling was a huge
- 16:50part of it. I'm coming in hot here.
- 16:54>> Hi everyone.
- 16:56>> Hello.
- 16:58$50 budget for two days doing breakfast,
- 17:00lunch, and dinner. You need everything
- 17:01that's completing that meal to see if
- 17:03you can make it in $50.
- 17:05>> Okay.
- 17:07>> All right.
- 17:09>> I'm eat breakfast. I'm be honest.
- 17:10>> No, I'm saying give me that. I don't eat
- 17:13lunch either. Straight different.
- 17:15>> Can I see this real quick?
- 17:16>> I'm a dinner warrior.
- 17:20Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- 17:24>> Then you just eat out.
- 17:26>> It's going to cost you more than that
- 17:27$10 to eat out. Where are you going out
- 17:29to eat that's gonna cost you less than
- 17:30$10?
- 17:31>> McDonald's?
- 17:32>> Absolutely not.
- 17:33>> There's no way. McDonald's is more than
- 17:35$10.
- 17:35>> Just to get a meal right now is more
- 17:37than $10.
- 17:38>> Get the $5 $6
- 17:40>> for beef.
- 17:43>> Plus, look, but for this one, you're
- 17:45getting five of these.
- 17:47>> It's $5.
- 17:48>> It's five for five.
- 17:49>> It's $5.
- 17:50>> So, it's $1 for one
- 17:52>> if you only want one. Yeah. I just want
- 17:55to know. Look, you guys went to buy
- 17:57groceries or make budget and plans. Did
- 18:01you guys enjoy this experience?
- 18:03>> No.
- 18:04>> No. Was it harder than you thought?
- 18:07>> Who would have thought that some of the
- 18:08food cost as much as it does? Right.
- 18:10>> When you go out to the store, the food
- 18:12prices, they go up all the time. Milk
- 18:16can be $2 one day and $5 the next week.
- 18:19Yes. The gas, too.
- 18:22It's crazy. I know.
- 18:26Wait, I'm out cuz he caught it.
- 18:28>> Yeah, but you get a second chance since
- 18:31you're the principal. Oh,
- 18:32>> I get a second chance cuz I'm the
- 18:34principal.
- 18:36>> According to Jan,
- 18:38>> I'm going for Miss T.
- 18:40>> That's a big camera.
- 18:41>> Yeah, it is. Right. Say hello. I
- 18:43>> like that jersey. Go Birds.
- 18:46>> 67.
- 18:48>> Go birds, baby.
- 18:50>> Yeah.
- 18:53Ashley, can you draw my assignment over
- 18:55there?
- 18:55>> Okay.
- 18:56>> What do you have to say other than brain
- 18:58rot?
- 19:00>> Other than brain rot.
- 19:02>> Um,
- 19:02>> go birds.
- 19:04>> 67. Go birds.
- 19:06>> Yes.
- 19:06>> Understandable.
- 19:08>> What's your diarama? What is this?
- 19:11>> This is a model factory from the
- 19:13industrial revolution. And if you can
- 19:15you can barely see it, but there's
- 19:17children inside partially um injured in
- 19:21there.
- 19:29>> [music]
- 19:31>> I I didn't have nowhere to go. Nowhere
- 19:34to go cuz my check would be wasn't
- 19:37sufficient, you know. And in the rooms,
- 19:41they were third floor. I couldn't do
- 19:43anything, you know. So, I had to stay in
- 19:45people's sofa, you know, here, there,
- 19:48there, and there until I got my leg.
- 19:51Once I got my leg, I started moving
- 19:54around. Now I'm staying with a friend of
- 19:55mine. And you know, he's helping me out.
- 19:59I get housing, but housing,
- 20:02I don't know where where is that. They
- 20:04say housing, but I don't know where it's
- 20:05at. We come from a world where it's
- 20:07really it's really f for yourself. As
- 20:10much as it it should be united, it's
- 20:12really a f for yourself world. So, I
- 20:14don't think economics I feel like
- 20:15economics and money is the root of all
- 20:17evil. And I take that seriously,
- 20:20>> bro. being rich. I want to be rich. Not
- 20:23going to lie. I want to be rich. I want
- 20:24to be a person in this world. I want to
- 20:28be
- 20:30like, it's hard to be a person, but you
- 20:32can do it.
- 20:34>> Yeah.
- 20:34>> Did you ever own a house?
- 20:36>> No.
- 20:38>> You think your son will?
- 20:40>> He He will.
- 20:41>> Yeah, he will.
- 20:42>> Yeah.
- 20:43>> He can get a house, buy a house, and he
- 20:45pull himself together. I'm not saying
- 20:47that he doing bad stuff. I'm not saying
- 20:49[music] that.
- 20:50But if he he if he want to, he's a junk
- 20:53kid. If he can get a house, put himself
- 20:55together, don't end up like me. Now, I
- 20:57always tell him that you can do whatever
- 20:59you want to do in life, but don't end up
- 21:01like me.
- 21:06>> Good morning. How are you?
- 21:07>> Good. How are you?
- 21:08>> Good. What are you going to help me out?
- 21:10>> Thank you. You all right today?
- 21:11>> Yep.
- 21:12>> Good.
- 21:13We have tomorrow, I'm excited, we have
- 21:15the reality fair going on where kids are
- 21:18learning about budgeting and things like
- 21:19that. So, we have about 140 students
- 21:22participating in that
- 21:23>> capstone project to the instruction all
- 21:27year.
- 21:28>> Correct.
- 21:33>> They're going to bombard you. Oh, yeah.
- 21:34I'm going to come here first to help you
- 21:36cuz this is their first stop. [laughter]
- 21:38>> This is the first place.
- 21:39>> Yes. Because they have to all they all
- 21:41have to figure out where they're going
- 21:42to live. So, this is pretty much their
- 21:43first stop.
- 21:44>> Okay, so
- 21:45>> there we go. There we go.
- 21:52[cheering and applause]
- 21:54>> We're ready now.
- 21:55>> All right, guys. The chaos is going to
- 21:56hit in a little bit. So,
- 22:01>> I got it. That makes sense.
- 22:02>> I got a I have I'm a doctor.
- 22:04>> You're a doctor?
- 22:05>> Yes.
- 22:06>> Oh, money. Money.
- 22:07>> Yeah. I make 6,666.
- 22:10six, seven.
- 22:13>> Look right there. Just
- 22:15>> All right. So, this is your monthly
- 22:16budget.
- 22:17>> You have a few different options. You
- 22:19can live with your parents.
- 22:21>> You can um rent a one-bedroom, one
- 22:23bathroom with or without pets.
- 22:25>> You can have a two-bedroom, two bath by
- 22:28yourself or with a roommate. Or you can
- 22:29purchase a home.
- 22:30>> So, I'm getting internet right now.
- 22:32Should I get a cell phone first or
- 22:33internet first?
- 22:35>> Well, you need a cell phone. That's a
- 22:36necessity.
- 22:37>> Yeah.
- 22:38>> So, cell phone first.
- 22:39>> All right. Come around today. Selling
- 22:42phones today. So, we got the we got the
- 22:44the brand new one. You don't even want
- 22:46to look at the brand new plan.
- 22:47>> No, I want this one.
- 22:49>> You want this? All right.
- 22:51>> I still have 2,000, bro. I paid like
- 22:542.95 for nails, hair, and lash lashes.
- 23:07>> You got to buy a wedding gift. How are
- 23:09you going to pay for that?
- 23:11>> No, you have $6729
- 23:15left over.
- 23:16>> That means I'm broke.
- 23:17>> I mean, you broke, but you at least got
- 23:19money left over. You're not in the
- 23:20negative. I have somebody almost $1,000
- 23:22negative.
- 23:22>> What?
- 23:23>> No, I'm broke.
- 23:25>> And I got to have some money for my
- 23:27savings. I want to have money. I want to
- 23:29have money for my personal use, you
- 23:32know. 700.
- 23:33>> Oh, I got more than you. I got 800.
- 23:35because I I spend a lot on lashes and
- 23:38stuff.
- 23:38>> You can't be doing that. You got to
- 23:40think about donations.
- 23:42>> I'm not donating. I'm sorry, but I'm not
- 23:44I'm not I'm not
- 23:45>> your money.
- 23:46>> Once I turn 18, I'm going to bring my
- 23:48mom to this country cuz you know she's
- 23:50back in the I got to bring my mom to
- 23:53this country, make her house.
- 23:56>> Nah, but I actually learned a lot about
- 23:58this. I'm happy.
- 23:59>> Yeah, I actually did. I actually,
- 24:02>> bro, I realized that I like we have
- 24:05Parents pay a lot of money for all of
- 24:07this stuff, bro. They actually pay you.
- 24:09We never knew that.
- 24:11>> All they tell us is, "Oh, we have to pay
- 24:13bills."
- 24:16>> Did you guys check?
- 24:21>> You've started to give us some keys more
- 24:23than any of the other programs we have.
- 24:25You've started to give us some keys
- 24:28>> to the student in high school now who's
- 24:31thriving,
- 24:32>> right? who you believe wouldn't have
- 24:35maybe without the financial education
- 24:37right program here.
- 24:38>> So I was my my in my reflection like
- 24:41what is the next step? What is the next
- 24:43step?
- 24:44>> And at the end of the day you don't
- 24:46really need to know what the next step
- 24:48is. You need to know what you're doing
- 24:50right now is having a significant
- 24:53impact.
- 24:53>> Yeah. We reuped for a second three
- 24:55years, right? That's
- 24:57>> Oh, really?
- 24:57>> Yeah. Yeah. I guess it hasn't got Yeah.
- 25:00>> This is breaking news.
- 25:01>> Yeah. Sorry. I it's um maybe it's not

- 25:06>> There was no question.
