Full transcript
- 0:00Welcome to the Fantasy Football Hub
- 0:01YouTube channel. Today I'm joined by the
- 0:04big man Bar to preview gameweek 3 where
- 0:06BAR's wild card is active. It's a huge
- 0:10game week, gameweek [music] 3. A lot of
- 0:12people out there are using chips. Good
- 0:13to have you back on the channel. I'm
- 0:15really excited to see your wild card.
- 0:17We're going to be building it in this
- 0:18video and also hear the rationale behind
- 0:21it as you sit at an extremely healthy
- 0:2425K. I mean, it's pretty cool for us
- 0:26both to be in the top 100K after just
- 0:28two weeks and be doing this video, but
- 0:31wild carding after an unbelievable week
- 0:33that you just had, that is interesting.
- 0:35How are you?
- 0:36>> Hello, Jack. Thank you for having me.
- 0:38Hello and welcome to all the listeners
- 0:39and viewers. Yeah, I feel extremely
- 0:42overwhelmed to be in this sort of
- 0:43position. 25K after two weeks. I've just
- 0:46smashed like 122 points this week and
- 0:48everything has gone according to plan.
- 0:50And even though the bench boost in game
- 0:52one was slightly underwhelming, I sit at
- 0:54a very reasonable position.
- 0:58I I was speaking to you off air and we
- 1:00were discussing that after game five
- 1:02last season, I was ranked 6 million. So
- 1:04this feels like uh a complete um polar
- 1:08opposite to where I was last season and
- 1:09generally I I tend to start uh quite
- 1:11slowly. So I'm I'm very glad that I've
- 1:13been able to sort of start more quickly
- 1:16this time and I'm hoping to consolidate
- 1:18on that position. um with a wild card
- 1:21this week. It's actually surprising that
- 1:24uh I've actually my my schedule is very
- 1:28sort of built around FPL because I do
- 1:31this as a full-time job. So, it's
- 1:32interesting that I've actually chosen to
- 1:34travel at a point in time where I'm wild
- 1:36carding. I'm actually in in Riyad for
- 1:39for a week. So, yeah. I mean, I haven't
- 1:42been able to give as much thought as I
- 1:44normally do to a wild card, but I'm
- 1:45hoping that I get it right before the
- 1:47deadlines. You were telling me off air
- 1:49you're you're going to an Ali game
- 1:51tonight watching Watkins's debut most
- 1:54likely which is which is pretty cool.
- 1:56>> Yeah.
- 1:56>> Yeah. I mean he's apparently going to be
- 1:58making his debut so we need to watch
- 2:00some of that. Yeah.
- 2:01>> Well that is good. That's good to hear.
- 2:03Okay. Where should we I let's let's I
- 2:06want to build your team. I really do. I
- 2:08want to build your team and as we're
- 2:09building it as we go through it I want
- 2:12to uh I want to sort of ask you about
- 2:14about the rationale for it. Okay. So,
- 2:16your team for gameweek three is on
- 2:19screen. This is what your team would be
- 2:21without a a uh a wild card. So, why do
- 2:25you think that that this team needs a
- 2:27wild card? Obviously, the team uh rating
- 2:30is 81 out of 100 up here, which is a
- 2:33long way down on where it has been for
- 2:34you in gameweek one and gameweek 2,
- 2:37according to Fantasy Football Hub's My
- 2:38Team tool. So, that's concerning, but
- 2:40yeah. Why do you think that you need a
- 2:42wild card this week?
- 2:45my uh initial couple of uh weeks the
- 2:48team that I had uh in that time period
- 2:50was built with the idea of uh wild
- 2:52carding in M3. So the team rating that
- 2:55uh we show here 81%.
- 2:58Uh is actually in line with what I've
- 3:00planned. So I know that the team is weak
- 3:03going forward. I don't think it is
- 3:04sustainable to carry and even though it
- 3:06has scored very healthily in the first
- 3:09two weeks I don't think that the
- 3:11performance can can be replicated going
- 3:13forward. So I think this need this team
- 3:15needs a complete reset actually. So for
- 3:18example if I run you through the team
- 3:20one by one I will be removing I think
- 3:24Gabriel I won't have I probably I
- 3:26definitely won't have Magguire
- 3:28California maybe I can keep I won't have
- 3:29Fernandez which is again significant I
- 3:32won't have Embomo I won't have Lefay I
- 3:35won't have Isac I won't have Talbert
- 3:37Leuen I won't have RS I won't have Bard
- 3:39I won't have white I won't have India so
- 3:41I'm effectively changing what 12 people
- 3:43in my team and that just gives you the
- 3:45answer to why I'm wild carding because I
- 3:46just don't think that this team is
- 3:47anywhere close to what I want to have
- 3:49going forward. And it's u it's actually
- 3:52a product of owning let's say Triple
- 3:54United and and Triple Sunderland. That
- 3:56sort of locks me into a wild card very
- 3:58uh firmly because I don't think this is
- 4:00a team which would be worth a free hit
- 4:02because I don't want to carry Triple
- 4:04United or Triple Sunderland going
- 4:06forward and obviously I want to build a
- 4:08team around Harland and Palmer which uh
- 4:11would cover me well for captaincy in the
- 4:13coming weeks. Uh long story short, my
- 4:16team would look significantly different
- 4:17to what it does right now and hence I
- 4:19think it merits the use of a wild card.
- 4:22U again uh there are other strategical
- 4:25benefits to it. For example, I can
- 4:27benefit in team value. I don't think I
- 4:29will be able to build a team of my
- 4:31choice let's say in 3 to four weeks time
- 4:33because the price chains are very
- 4:34volatile. And if I'm wild carding right
- 4:36now, I think that we have enough
- 4:38information to know about some of the
- 4:39obvious picks. For example, ja pedro s
- 4:41boslai the moscara injury last night was
- 4:44great because cons dropped in price to
- 4:464.4 before I can just own him going
- 4:47forward. I don't feel that there are too
- 4:50many unknowns at this moment and let's
- 4:52say if I was to wild card in in two to
- 4:54three weeks time I don't think I'd be
- 4:55gaining too much information and even if
- 4:57I'm sort of supposed to react at that
- 4:59point in time I will have three
- 5:00transfers built up to react to any
- 5:04crisis that may emerge.
- 5:07>> Okay. Now don't worry guys in the
- 5:09comments down below. I'm going to be I'm
- 5:11not I'm not wild carding this week. So,
- 5:13I'm going to be and I'm actually I'm
- 5:14quite I'm quite happy not to be wild
- 5:15carding. I don't want to wild card. So,
- 5:17I'm going to be pushing back on this a
- 5:19little bit as we go. Uh, so there's
- 5:21going to be a little bit of discourse.
- 5:24So far, I have left in the players that
- 5:27um you said could be in. Shoes and Jar
- 5:29Pedra, I think obviously will be in. Um,
- 5:31they're both very good pick. Well, Jar
- 5:32Pedra has to be in. Shabbas, as you
- 5:34said, probably going to be in their
- 5:35calipuries and maybe we need to start
- 5:37with Bruno Fernandez who doesn't who
- 5:38doesn't uh who doesn't have a role in
- 5:41this team. you said that
- 5:43um just a couple of minutes ago. Now, I
- 5:46don't know if you know, but he got a lot
- 5:48of points last week. He's the form
- 5:50player in the in the league right now
- 5:52and no place for him in in this team.
- 5:55So, let's talk about that first. How
- 5:56come you've come to that conclusion?
- 6:00>> I mean, that was last week firstly. I
- 6:02mean, that's the key word. So, what has
- 6:03happened has no sort of impact on future
- 6:06outcomes. Look, I think he's 12 million,
- 6:09which is historically more than he has
- 6:12been at any point in time over his
- 6:14career in FPL. Now, you're speaking to
- 6:17someone who's a diehard Bruno fan in
- 6:19FPL. I've owned Bruno for all weeks,
- 6:22barring one in the previous two seasons.
- 6:24So, I think if there's anyone who would
- 6:26uh who would fight against Bruno
- 6:27Fernandez, it would be me. But even I
- 6:30feel sort of comfortable going without
- 6:31him because we're sitting in a in a in a
- 6:36space where when you look at the fixture
- 6:37schedule that's been shown up on screen,
- 6:40you look at the next six game weeks, how
- 6:41many games will captain him in at 12
- 6:43million? Maybe one at best, which is the
- 6:46Spurs at home game.
- 6:47>> Yeah,
- 6:49>> I don't think that merits uh the use of
- 6:5112 million when he's going to be your
- 6:52captain maybe once in let's say 6 weeks.
- 6:56So if you compare that with Holland and
- 6:58Palmer who rotate excellent excellently
- 7:00for captaincy. So starting from this
- 7:02week Holland is commentary at home. Next
- 7:04week Palmer is Hull at home and then uh
- 7:06Holland has Sunland at home. So I just
- 7:09think they they rotate really well. And
- 7:11what's key to to sort of going for a
- 7:14non-Fernandez draft is actually Palmer's
- 7:16price. So for example, I got Palmer at 4
- 7:189.5 million. that allows me 2.5 million
- 7:21saving over Fernandez and it allows so
- 7:23many upgrades across the rest of the
- 7:24squad and United's fixtures are I mean
- 7:27they're not all that great and to be
- 7:29very honest I do think they were very
- 7:30lucky against I switch had that slip not
- 7:32happened and Fernandez not been
- 7:34presented with the first goal I think
- 7:35the outcome of that game could have been
- 7:37quite different so I'm not fully sold on
- 7:39United at the moment and um even though
- 7:41Fernandez is a great choice I think that
- 7:44there's merit to going without him
- 7:46>> yeah I do agree with that um I'm
- 7:48obviously playing Devils Africa I I I
- 7:50completely agree with all that logic.
- 7:51Bruno Fernanas will be leaving my team
- 7:53this week as well. It's it's you know
- 7:55it's a bit weird that happening when
- 7:57he's obviously had an unbelievable game.
- 7:59Sometimes uh I watch Premier League
- 8:02years on on TV on Sky Sports and they
- 8:06show highlights of of previous seasons
- 8:08and there'll be games where one player
- 8:10from I don't know like the naughties 90s
- 8:12whatever just scores three gets an
- 8:14assist or whatever. And I think to
- 8:16myself, wow, how cool would that have
- 8:17been owning that player in fantasy at
- 8:19that time. I think that was one of those
- 8:21games for Bruno. But as as you say, and
- 8:24I've got it up on the fixture ticket
- 8:25here, when when would you captain him?
- 8:30>> You know, game week six,
- 8:31>> apart from and gameweek six, you know,
- 8:33Palmer Dedra as Bournemouth at home.
- 8:36>> It's a good alternative. Bournemouth are
- 8:38not are not going to be as strong as
- 8:39they were last year. I think I think
- 8:40that's I think that's probably going to
- 8:42be the case outside of that. But yeah,
- 8:45there really aren't many uh chances to
- 8:47captain Bruno. Maybe maybe gave me 10,
- 8:50but by that point so much else could
- 8:52have changed. Um, this is Fantasy
- 8:53Football Hub's fixture analyzer by the
- 8:55way. As you can see, guys, is
- 8:56phenomenal. You need to you need to get
- 8:58on this link down below to go and have a
- 9:00look at it uh for yourself. Okay, let's
- 9:03get on to the actual team then. I think
- 9:05at this point, let's start building it.
- 9:07Yeah, just just like a couple of u
- 9:10points that I would like to mention just
- 9:12to overview the whole idea.
- 9:14>> U you know there's all I mentioned um
- 9:17Holland and Palmer there's also uh
- 9:20Newcastle have a very positive fixture
- 9:22swing that look really good.
- 9:23>> So we can you know build the team around
- 9:25Chelsea City and Newcastle and then
- 9:27there are a lot of good budget enablers
- 9:30that have emerged which have sort of
- 9:32solidified my my choice. So I mentioned
- 9:35Kona earlier there's Sangari Ross
- 9:38Anderson all these guys are very cheap
- 9:39and they allow you know a very good sort
- 9:41of squad to be to be built and uh now
- 9:44the transfer windows closed as well. So
- 9:46that's another sort of point which um
- 9:49works uh in the favor I so my strategy
- 9:52overall is just going to be you know
- 9:53build a robust enough squad build a
- 9:54squad that's going to last for 30 plus
- 9:56weeks and save as many transfers as
- 9:58possible which worked well for me last
- 9:59season and then see what what uh comes
- 10:02with it. And one final point would be a
- 10:04comparison with free hit three. Uh and I
- 10:06think that especially with my squad
- 10:08because the number of players that I'm
- 10:09getting rid of, it works slightly
- 10:10better. The one issue that I have with
- 10:13free hit three is the fact that I think
- 10:15that even if I was to free hit this
- 10:16week, I don't think I would have been
- 10:18able to delay the wild card for too much
- 10:20longer. I think I would have probably
- 10:21wild card in five or six. Whereas if I
- 10:23wild card right now, I can save as many
- 10:25as possible. Then I can forget later in
- 10:27the season. Let's say game week 12, game
- 10:28week 14. So I think it gives me more
- 10:30optionality going forward. So that's one
- 10:32thing I wanted to add sort of
- 10:33strategically. Okay. Before we get into
- 10:35the team.
- 10:36>> Sure. That makes sense. Okay. Run us
- 10:38through the team then. Who have you got?
- 10:40>> Yeah. So I've gone with Rya as my
- 10:42keeper. Again, someone who served me
- 10:43really well last season set and forget
- 10:45option. I did not own him in my initial
- 10:49game week one and two team because it
- 10:50was more of a short-term team. But I
- 10:52think if I'm be building a team for the
- 10:55for a significant period of time, I just
- 10:56think the tri is a very safe and comfy
- 10:58option to pick. Uh I've picked Drafka as
- 11:02my second goalkeeper. I think uh out of
- 11:04all the four million keepers, maybe
- 11:06Dubraka has the chance of getting the
- 11:08odd game here or there because King
- 11:09never fills me with a lot of confidence.
- 11:12>> So I think that Drafka makes uh
- 11:14>> makes some sense.
- 11:16>> Sure.
- 11:16>> And um I think the defense is actually
- 11:19the toughest part to get right.
- 11:21Actually, I think I'm fairly set on at
- 11:23least seven of my front eight and my
- 11:26keeper, by the way. But the defense,
- 11:28>> let's do let's do the let's do that
- 11:29then. Let's do the players you're most
- 11:31set on.
- 11:32>> Yes, I was going to counter that. Yeah.
- 11:33So So Bosa, you mentioned him earlier in
- 11:36the video
- 11:36>> again on penalties. Sort of like the
- 11:39mini Bruno Fernandez in the Liverpool
- 11:42team playing at 7 million.
- 11:44>> Very safe and set and forget option.
- 11:47>> Yeah.
- 11:47>> Yes. Okay. Then I have um Palmer of
- 11:52course for obvious reasons.
- 11:55Then I have Sangare who at 5.6 feels
- 11:58like an absolute gift.
- 11:59>> Yeah,
- 12:00>> he has hit defcons in in both games so
- 12:03far and has even had two tactical
- 12:05returns in the previous game. I was uh
- 12:07monitoring his minutes in the second
- 12:08game week and he played 90. So that
- 12:10gives me more confidence in his uh
- 12:12minutes going forward. Then I've gone
- 12:15with the Pascal Gross. Again, I was
- 12:17hoping that he'd keep quiet against
- 12:19Chelsea because he was always going to
- 12:20be in my um game free wild card team,
- 12:23but I think he'll be a lot more popular
- 12:25than he was initially because again, a
- 12:28guy on penalties and and nailed for 90
- 12:29minutes. It's surprising that at his age
- 12:32at his age, he's playing so many minutes
- 12:34consistently, but he seems like a
- 12:36machine is not going to stop. So, yeah,
- 12:38pass is there. Then the the fifth
- 12:41midfielder is a bit uncertain. So, I'll
- 12:43leave that for now.
- 12:43>> Let's do the front three. Yes, I think
- 12:46I'm fairly locked on the front three. I
- 12:48think Harland has to obviously be there
- 12:50and you've picked it yourself. Uh, Jiao
- 12:52Pedro for obvious reasons and Vista has
- 12:53also come into the team because
- 12:55Newcastle actually have a really strong
- 12:56run of fixtures and Vissa is looking
- 12:59like a 90-minute man and I I think he
- 13:02he's going to be on penalties with with
- 13:04Noah, no Gordon, Newcastle as well. So
- 13:08yeah, I think Vista looks really, really
- 13:10good for the upcoming run of fixtures
- 13:11and I think he's a significant upgrade
- 13:13on Calbert Luan at this point in time.
- 13:16>> Yeah, I do agree with that. I do agree.
- 13:19I think during this video I'm going to
- 13:20just get I'm going to I'm going to be
- 13:22I'm going to be jealous. I'm going to
- 13:23give my my personal reasoning, you know,
- 13:25my video later in the week and then also
- 13:27also I'll have a few things to say. But
- 13:30you Yeah, I mean I can't I cannot argue
- 13:31with any of these picks so far. They are
- 13:33all very very solid and just good FPL
- 13:36picks. um which is what you want in a
- 13:38world card. The only thing I' I'd
- 13:40potentially say is we'll see what how
- 13:42your team lines up at the end. But two
- 13:44Chelsea forwards uh attackers away at
- 13:47Arsenal doesn't it's not the best start.
- 13:50You know, they've conceded one shot on
- 13:52target so far this season. You've had
- 13:54triple Arsenal defense. Let's um let's
- 13:57move on to the defense now and see if
- 13:58there are any other Arsenal players
- 14:00there.
- 14:01Yeah, my just a very small
- 14:03counterargument to that this would be
- 14:04that, you know, I'm happy even if I have
- 14:06like a relatively mediocre game because
- 14:08I'm building a team for the long term.
- 14:10And look, Arsenal and Chelsea assets are
- 14:12so popular that I I it's not that I'm in
- 14:14a different boat as opposed to anyone
- 14:15else. So, I'm totally fine with
- 14:17accepting whatever comes my way because
- 14:19all the assets are so popular. Okay, so
- 14:22I will get Consa for sure. Um, so he's
- 14:26another nailed selection. The fact that
- 14:27Moshka sort of walked off yesterday with
- 14:31an injury makes Cona quite a reasonable
- 14:34selection I would think. Then I think I
- 14:36have to pick at least one U Newcastle
- 14:39defender. And this could be Hall or
- 14:42Theo, but I currently have Hall in my uh
- 14:44draft because he has hit defcons in both
- 14:48games so far. This is a bit of a tricky
- 14:50one. I'm not sure there's there's much
- 14:51between Hall and Theo. I can go
- 14:52differently, but yeah, the the tempted
- 14:55would have at least one Newcastle
- 14:57defender. And then I think I would have
- 15:00uh Cal Fury as well. Now, I I wasn't
- 15:02having a lot of confidence in Galifuri's
- 15:04minutes initially the start of the
- 15:06season, but he started really well and I
- 15:08it doesn't seem like he's going to lose
- 15:10his place anytime soon and he's quite
- 15:12attacking and seems to be in a in good
- 15:15form. I just think that
- 15:18ideally I want to own Gabriel at 8
- 15:20million, but I think I'm going to
- 15:21struggle to justify the price tag for
- 15:22him when the likes of Kansa and and
- 15:24Caluria are much cheaper. So
- 15:27>> I think Caluria is a better is a better
- 15:29pick than um than Gabrielle at the
- 15:31moment anyway to be fair. Like some of
- 15:33the positions that he's taking up. I
- 15:34think Ben White as well. I mean those
- 15:36guys they are like they're so high and
- 15:38involved um that I really it's
- 15:41unbelievable some of the positions that
- 15:42they're taking up. some of the runs that
- 15:43that Califf Fury in particular is
- 15:45making. I think I think he has to be a
- 15:47lock. I think I think he is like one of
- 15:49the one of the best FB, you know,
- 15:52players in the game right now. Uh some
- 15:55of the stuff he's doing is is crazy just
- 15:56like positionally.
- 15:58>> Okay. Speaking of uh speaking of high
- 16:01upside in defenders, uh the next
- 16:03defender is O'Reilly from Manchester
- 16:05City and I think he carries very similar
- 16:06potential
- 16:07>> because he's been playing in midfield
- 16:09and I think the fact that he has
- 16:11flexibility to play both uh as a left
- 16:14back and in midfield just gives him an
- 16:16extra chance of you know playing um more
- 16:19minutes and that just works in his favor
- 16:20and when you look at City's fixtures I
- 16:22mean they're ridiculously good
- 16:23especially the home games. commentary at
- 16:24home, Sunland at home, if search at home
- 16:27and uh that just tells me that you know
- 16:29someone like an O'Reilly can go
- 16:31ballistic in any one of those fixtures.
- 16:33So I have O'Reilly um and that's where
- 16:37I've sort of spent the money by not
- 16:39owning Gabrielle because I think he's a
- 16:41bit of a differential. Not too many
- 16:42people own him at this moment in time.
- 16:45The next two selections are slightly I
- 16:48would say dicey and I'm playing around
- 16:50with these slots.
- 16:52>> Let me try Shall I try and guess? Well,
- 16:53I'm I'm sure you've gone for a City
- 16:55midfielder
- 16:56cuz I think you have to have triple city
- 16:58on wild card when they're playing
- 17:00commentary at home. I just think it's
- 17:01and I think you just have to do it. So,
- 17:03I reckon you've gone for uh Ryan Chery.
- 17:06Is that correct?
- 17:08>> I've gone with Anderson actually.
- 17:10>> So boring. Fair enough. I like that. You
- 17:12know, I actually I actually do respect
- 17:13that.
- 17:14>> So that mean Okay, so that's
- 17:15interesting. That's really interesting
- 17:16to me. So that means that you are Yeah.
- 17:20Okay. Nice. Anderson's in 6.4 4 million
- 17:23as well had a price drop.
- 17:25>> Right. And and how much exactly in the
- 17:27bank? I would presume it would be 5 7 or
- 17:305.9 million.
- 17:31>> Well, it depends. It depends because
- 17:33these are the current prices, not the
- 17:34prices that you wild carded at. So, it
- 17:36says 5.3, but I don't know. It probably
- 17:38is more. Yeah. Well, like what you said
- 17:41for your team.
- 17:41>> Yeah. So, uh yeah. So, the defender that
- 17:43I have picked is actually a 5 million
- 17:45defender anyway. So, I' I've done this
- 17:47uh for actually my team as well and for
- 17:49the benefit of people who might be wild
- 17:51carding late. So it's it's a team which
- 17:52is easily affordable even if you press
- 17:54the trigger tonight. So I've actually
- 17:56gone with the one heck from Spurs. Uh I
- 18:00think u
- 18:02I think Spurs have a good run of home
- 18:04fixtures to come. They haven't looked
- 18:05all that good in the first few weeks. I
- 18:07understand that. But I still quite rate
- 18:09as a pick. And one of the reasons why I
- 18:11have him is because he's expected to
- 18:13drop in price. And at 4.9 million I
- 18:15think he's quite quite a good handy
- 18:17asset to own. Um the home fixtures when
- 18:20you look at Spurs I mean they're playing
- 18:21Everton at home which I think is a
- 18:24decent picture in game week four uh
- 18:26because India is not going to be there
- 18:27and then they have Coventry at home in
- 18:28in seven and then if you look at their
- 18:30run after game week nine they're they
- 18:32have switch and and a lot of other um
- 18:34favorable fixtures from that point
- 18:36onwards as well. So I think by going
- 18:39potentially saving myself a transfer of
- 18:40having to buy a Spurs defender at some
- 18:42point later. I do actually have the fans
- 18:44for Porro, but I think u I'm not so sure
- 18:48about him because he's he seems to have
- 18:50lost set pieces and he wasn't taking set
- 18:51pieces in in the previous game against
- 18:53Newcastle. So I think that one heck for
- 18:55for the defcons and for his price is
- 18:57probably better value for money anyway.
- 18:59So this is what I have right now and
- 19:02obviously there are a couple of slots
- 19:04that are up for debate. I have Anderson
- 19:05because I I know a lot of people will be
- 19:08going for Churkey over Anderson, but I
- 19:09just think that Anderson is way more
- 19:10robust as a pick in the sense that uh
- 19:13he's more reliable in terms of his
- 19:14minutes. With Churkey, I don't know
- 19:16whether he's going to play that often if
- 19:18he puts in one bad performance. I think
- 19:20he's at big risk of getting dropped,
- 19:22especially with the number of midfield
- 19:24options that City have available. I know
- 19:26that Turkey uh braced in the previous
- 19:28game but he had he had an interview in
- 19:30the previous game in which he said that
- 19:32the manager was going to take him off at
- 19:33halftime and he requested the manager to
- 19:34give him an additional 10 minutes and
- 19:36then in that spell he scored and he that
- 19:39is why he got you know some extra
- 19:40minutes. So I do understand the upside
- 19:42with Turkey but I think that uh given
- 19:44the sort of play style that I have which
- 19:46is quite conservative and risk averse I
- 19:48would rather be in a position where I'm
- 19:50saving as many transfers as possible and
- 19:52then seeing where I end up with uh with
- 19:54this team because I think with this sort
- 19:56of team I can potentially save three to
- 19:58four transfers in the next three to four
- 20:00weeks.
- 20:01>> Yeah, I I do like this team a lot. It's
- 20:02good. It's very solid. Um what I will
- 20:05ask you now is for game three, what
- 20:08would your starting 11 be?
- 20:12It's actually a very good question. I
- 20:14think I would probably be benching Xiao
- 20:16Pedro from my front eight. I would
- 20:19prefer Palmer over him because Palmer's
- 20:21on penalties and obviously I think for
- 20:23example Sangare Sun at home crosses
- 20:25leads at home can't city Kazums I can't
- 20:28bench them. So I think Jao Pedro
- 20:30naturally would be the one who would be
- 20:31the makeweight. I obviously have to
- 20:33start Califuri given how good he's
- 20:36playing and then obviously O'Reilly will
- 20:38play and I I presume that the final
- 20:39defender will be Lewis Hall.
- 20:41>> Yeah.
- 20:41>> So yeah, this is uh this is exactly
- 20:44>> Vaner. No, sorry. Yeah, sorry. No, as in
- 20:48I misunderstood. Yes, your final
- 20:50defender starting. Yeah. Okay. Okay. I
- 20:53like it.
- 20:53>> Something like this. And it would have
- 20:55just three players from Arsenal and
- 20:56Chelsea, which is very very acceptable,
- 20:59I would say. So, it solves the problem
- 21:01of overloading on Chelsea and Arsenal
- 21:04like you suggested in in the video
- 21:06earlier.
- 21:06>> Yes, it does. It does. Um, I'm not sure
- 21:10about benching Pedro, but I could I
- 21:12suppose away at Arsenal.
- 21:14I don't know if that makes sense. I
- 21:16mean, Arsa have been so good, but
- 21:17Chelsea have been so good going forward.
- 21:19Anyway, that that game is really
- 21:21interesting. I'm not quite sure how I
- 21:22see that one going. Let's reveal your uh
- 21:25Oh, interesting. 89% for for gameweek
- 21:29three is your team rating, which isn't
- 21:32very good, but I think it's hard to get
- 21:34100% this week. I don't know what you'd
- 21:36necessarily need to do this week. You
- 21:37see a lot like, you know, if you've got
- 21:38your Arsenal defenders, it's the Arsenal
- 21:40Chelsea game makes it challenging when
- 21:41you're playing Palmer.
- 21:43>> Exactly. Exactly.
- 21:44>> Calior is at 3.6 when normally he's at,
- 21:46you know, four and a half. Could be even
- 21:49could be higher than that.
- 21:51>> You look at their predicted scores for
- 21:52Holl and Brenford and they're all a sea
- 21:54of green. So, I'm sure it'll improve in
- 21:56the weeks to come, but but this week I'm
- 21:58not not that perturbed.
- 22:00>> Let's have a look at gameweek four. We
- 22:01can just skip ahead and see the
- 22:03difference. 92% is strong. Uh yeah, it's
- 22:06a it is a very robust team as you say.
- 22:09Gameweek five again looking good. And
- 22:12then the fixtures are are good for for
- 22:15Chelsea in particular. Uh after that,
- 22:17I'm just going through and having a
- 22:19look, seeing how how solid it looks. It
- 22:21looks good. It does look good. It does
- 22:23look good. And guys, if you're on a wild
- 22:24card, make sure to go and get your wild
- 22:26card rated. It's so important to do this
- 22:29um on Fantasy Football Hub's My Team
- 22:31tool. You can do it for free. Go and get
- 22:33your team rated. Um and then if you want
- 22:35to, you know, you want to click ahead to
- 22:36future game weeks, have a look at the
- 22:38fixture analyzer, all the stats,
- 22:40comparison tools, everything, then sign
- 22:42up to Fantasy Football Hub. It's still
- 22:4450% off and if you don't win your mini
- 22:46league, you'll have all your money
- 22:47refunded. We're still running that
- 22:49offer. Do not miss that offer cuz it's
- 22:51going away pretty soon. So, get in the
- 22:53description right now. If you've been
- 22:55thinking about it preseason or whatever,
- 22:57now is the time to do it. You can also
- 22:59get your AI recommended transfers as
- 23:00well if you're not on a wild card uh
- 23:02like like me. Okay, I do want to I do
- 23:06want to ask a couple of questions though
- 23:08>> about this team.
- 23:10What happens if Konza is not the third
- 23:14best Arsenal slot and Saka looks really
- 23:18good or Ben White continues to look
- 23:21really good? or Mosca comes back in the
- 23:24team because his injury is actually not
- 23:25that bad and Arsenal have conceded one
- 23:27shot on target with him in the team. Why
- 23:29would you change that? Now look, I know
- 23:30Conzo inevitably at some point is going
- 23:33to become third choice, not first or
- 23:36second choice. That would be Celiba. So
- 23:38that's going to be an issue at some
- 23:40point as well. That's one question.
- 23:42That's one query I have. Let's start
- 23:44with that actually. What what if you I
- 23:46think this this boils down to me saying
- 23:48we've had two weeks, that's it. and and
- 23:52you're saying you've got a lot of
- 23:53information and there isn't much more
- 23:54information to come. I would have to
- 23:55disagree with that because we've only
- 23:56had two weeks of of games and that that
- 24:00like just objectively that isn't that
- 24:02can't be that much information because
- 24:03it's only been two weeks. What what do
- 24:05you say to that?
- 24:07>> My counter to that would be that look if
- 24:10you assume that KZA suddenly loses his
- 24:12position and you look at this team
- 24:14>> he doesn't have the position he he's not
- 24:16had the position yet.
- 24:18We're presumably thinking that with
- 24:20Moshkera injured, he's going to start
- 24:21now going forward.
- 24:22>> If Moscara is definitely out, do we know
- 24:25that?
- 24:25>> Yeah, potentially. Potentially. I mean,
- 24:27I have built this team with the
- 24:28assumption that Kona is a dead asset.
- 24:30Just by the way, so this was actually my
- 24:32team before the game yesterday.
- 24:35This assumes that Conc is a 15th player
- 24:38who's not going to play at all.
- 24:40>> You forget about Conc for a second. You
- 24:41look at the team with with your eyes
- 24:43closed and this this team is fine. even
- 24:45with with console not available it's
- 24:47robust enough that's the point of
- 24:49building a robust team firstly and
- 24:51secondly if there are any better options
- 24:54that may emerge at any point later I'm
- 24:57happy to you know swap here and there
- 24:59but to be very honest at at 4.4 before.
- 25:02Even if Kona is, let's say, missing the
- 25:04odd game here or there, I don't I don't
- 25:07mind owning him for the price because
- 25:09he's just ridiculously good value.
- 25:11>> I understand that, but is it not? But
- 25:13I'm I'm I think that like, you know, I'm
- 25:16looking at teams in my mini leagues of
- 25:18very engaged FP managers and some of
- 25:20them don't have three Arsenal players
- 25:21and I,
- 25:22>> you know, my Arsenal players have done
- 25:24so well so far and I I expect them to
- 25:26continue to do well because they are the
- 25:28best team in the league. I mean,
- 25:28defensively, they're a joke and I think
- 25:30that I think, you know, Sack is looking
- 25:32really good. Are you not slightly
- 25:34concerned that by going for KZA you're
- 25:37just you're missing out on that third
- 25:39Arsenal slot and it's the best team in
- 25:41the league?
- 25:42>> I think I would be closer to removing
- 25:44someone like Rya or a Califuri rather
- 25:47than removing Conc for a third actually.
- 25:49>> Yeah. Because I have looked at Saka in
- 25:51this draft for example and I can get him
- 25:53for Elliot Anderson and remove let's say
- 25:54Raya and get a cheaper keeper and and
- 25:57make it work. Yeah,
- 25:58>> that's that's obviously an option. It's
- 26:00just that I think that Saka's slightly
- 26:03expensive and 9.5 and we don't know
- 26:05whether he's on pens as his fitness has
- 26:07been shaky in the past. I'm not so sure
- 26:10investing that sort of money uh in him.
- 26:13But having said that, he could be an
- 26:14option because in game week six, Arsenal
- 26:16playing leads at home and that's a week
- 26:17where you can potentially even captain
- 26:19captain him. So I haven't really fully
- 26:21ruled Saka out yet because he's he's an
- 26:23option. Same with the Morgan Gil White
- 26:25actually 7.9 million is actually a a
- 26:27decent uh price and he's he's on pens
- 26:30and he's going to play every minute.
- 26:31It's just that they're slightly more
- 26:35expensive than what I would want let's
- 26:37say this Anderson slot to be and that
- 26:40then in turn impacts the rest of the
- 26:42draft. So haven't had space for both of
- 26:44them but I would be
- 26:46happy to accommodate them if anything
- 26:48changes before the deadline.
- 26:50>> Sure. I will say uh your forward line is
- 26:52that yeah, it's hard to it's hard to um
- 26:56put an argument against that. I think
- 26:57that like all three of those picks make
- 26:59so much sense. I think Vista is going to
- 27:01he is going to it looks to me like he's
- 27:02going to be the standout uh cheaper
- 27:06forward to go with and those a great
- 27:07entry point Bournemouth at home and it
- 27:09just it stays good as you said having
- 27:11Newcastle players in makes sense and
- 27:13they look really good a big fan of the
- 27:14manager and then just Chelsea
- 27:17um I suppose benching Jar Pedro is
- 27:20something that you're comfortable with
- 27:22Palmer 100% nailed I mean you're saying
- 27:24like Sacka is expensive it's the same
- 27:26amount of points as Palmer Arsenal away
- 27:28is a tough game but And then it's good
- 27:30after that.
- 27:31>> He's going to be my captain for Holland
- 27:33game four. So he's looked really good. I
- 27:35don't think there's a world in which I
- 27:36go without Palmer. He's actually quite
- 27:38critical to to a wild card team in game
- 27:41three. I think look the the sort of
- 27:44obvious template player that I'm missing
- 27:45here is Bruno Fernandez.
- 27:48And it feels
- 27:49>> what what if he does really well this
- 27:51week? What if he just and you think how
- 27:54I need him back?
- 27:56>> Okay. I mean I will give you counter
- 27:58argument. This feels very similar to the
- 27:59discussion we're having regarding
- 28:00Holland before game week one and Holland
- 28:03scored twice this week. U yet we're
- 28:06sitting here at 25k ranks.
- 28:09>> Yeah. Yeah.
- 28:09>> As long as you trust as long as you
- 28:11trust the process, everything will be
- 28:13fine.
- 28:13>> Yeah. Um that's fair enough. And plan,
- 28:16you know, any plans to get more Chelsea
- 28:18players
- 28:19>> for for the whole game?
- 28:21>> I think Rogers is an option. Uh PTS I'm
- 28:23not sure about his fitness. Apparently,
- 28:25he'll be available for the Arsenal game,
- 28:27but um I I mean a Chelsea defense is a
- 28:29work in progress for me. I'm sure you
- 28:30know I wouldn't get any Chelsea right
- 28:32now.
- 28:33>> Exactly. Given that you're a Chelsea
- 28:34fan, I think Roger is the only one I can
- 28:36potentially look at and and again, it's
- 28:38very similar to, you know, a Gibbs White
- 28:40or a um than even potentially upgrading
- 28:43Anderson to to someone like Saka. So,
- 28:45yeah, I mean, the variant of this draft
- 28:46would have a better midfielder over
- 28:48Anderson and a slightly weaker defense.
- 28:49That's again something that can be
- 28:51looked at. I don't mind Rogers as a
- 28:52pick, but uh historically I've sort of
- 28:55preferred guys who are on penalties and
- 28:57set pieces. So, if I'm spending more, I
- 28:59think I might as well go with Gibbs
- 29:00White at 7.9.
- 29:02>> Okay, that is very fair enough. Yeah, I
- 29:04I'll be honest. Going into this video, I
- 29:06was hoping there'd be more that I could
- 29:08uh dislike about the team and just the
- 29:10strategy in general. I think my main
- 29:12thing is still that it just feels very
- 29:14early and and
- 29:16I don't think there's as much
- 29:17information as we think there is. And I
- 29:19this always annoys me in in FPL when
- 29:21people say, "Well, we've got we've got
- 29:23like I'm not saying this is you, but I'm
- 29:24saying what are we going to learn in the
- 29:26next couple of weeks or like where am I
- 29:27going to make a transfer in the next
- 29:28couple of weeks?" It's like, "Yeah, we
- 29:30you don't know that because the games
- 29:31haven't happened yet." So that's my only
- 29:34thing is that I I feel like there could
- 29:35be more information that we get. But uh
- 29:40yeah, I will just show you though before
- 29:41we end fantasy football hubs recommended
- 29:44transfers for your team uh on screen
- 29:46right now. Now, because I've selected
- 29:47that you are wild carding, there are
- 29:48quite a lot of them as you can see.
- 29:52So, I'm going to I'll run through this
- 29:53like relatively slowly, but the point of
- 29:55this is objectively
- 29:58these moves would would gain you 32.6
- 30:02points in theory uh according to uh
- 30:05Fantasy Football Hub's projected points
- 30:07and and AI across the next uh six
- 30:11gameweeks, gameweek three to eight. So,
- 30:13the players that aren't in it, Palmer,
- 30:16Ry, they're solid picks. The players
- 30:18that are being replaced are not better
- 30:19than them. Um, Hall goes to Virgil Van
- 30:22Djk. Draedro leaves the team.
- 30:24Interestingly, Cavaluan comes back in.
- 30:26That's that's a downgrade, but what it
- 30:29enables is a bit more it's a bit more
- 30:31solidity across the rest of the team.
- 30:33Sangare is out for Gomez and then you
- 30:35get the the uh you get Vugan who I
- 30:38suppose would rotate well Ry out as
- 30:40well. So you you'd rotate Keller and for
- 30:42Brian, which apparently is a huge
- 30:44upgrade. Um Gabrielle would then come
- 30:46back in. You know, the algorithm still
- 30:48loves Gabrielle and Thiago would come in
- 30:50for for for Whissa.
- 30:53So what do you think about about you
- 30:54know, it's quite hard to sort of
- 30:56understand um or or compare individual
- 30:59transfers and moves here, but let's say
- 31:03this, any of the players on the right
- 31:04that you are considering that you think,
- 31:06"Oh, actually the AI likes these guys.
- 31:08Should I go with them?
- 31:11I think in an ideal world I would have
- 31:12considered Virgil. I I owned him for
- 31:14large parts last season, but Liverpool
- 31:16have looked uh far from a shorting
- 31:18defensively this season. So not so sure
- 31:21about Virgil. I think the only guy I
- 31:22think realistically I'm supposed to I
- 31:24might pick between now and the end of
- 31:26the deadline is actually Gabrielle. If I
- 31:28let's say upgrade O'Reilly to Gabriel
- 31:30and maybe you know find some funds for
- 31:31him. I think Gabriel longterm is a
- 31:33fantastic pick. It's just that I don't
- 31:35have the funds for him right now.
- 31:36>> Yeah. And if let's say something changes
- 31:39between now on the deadline, I think
- 31:40Gabriel is someone I I can realistically
- 31:42look at.
- 31:43>> Sure. Okay guys, if you'd like to see
- 31:45your recommended transfers, whether
- 31:46you're on a wild card or not, link down
- 31:48below. Sign up to Fantasy Football. But
- 31:50car, anything else to touch on before we
- 31:52end this video? That was very good. I
- 31:53like your team a lot. It's hard to It's
- 31:55hard to find holes in it. It really is.
- 31:57It's very solid. It's a very U team. I I
- 31:59would be very similar to it, if not
- 32:01exactly the same, to be honest. If I was
- 32:02on a wild card, I don't know where I go
- 32:05differently. Yeah, I'd have Malik Chow
- 32:06over Lewis Hall. Uh but apart apart from
- 32:09that
- 32:09>> as well.
- 32:10>> Apart from that, I'm really not sure. I
- 32:12I just think Yeah, I I do the only
- 32:14slight doubts that I have is just
- 32:17whether Saka looks amazing next week
- 32:19against Chelsea. I'm like, whoa, got to
- 32:20get him. How do you get to him?
- 32:22Something like that is all I'm thinking.
- 32:25Just because Arsenal is so key this
- 32:26season. I think we I think we need to
- 32:28have three Arsenal for the whole of the
- 32:29season really. Well, especially now.
- 32:31That's the only thing I would be
- 32:32slightly concerned with. Kza looks great
- 32:34value at 4.4
- 32:36but there are other 4 million defenders
- 32:38that are good value. There aren't many
- 32:39other you know elite Arsenal attackers.
- 32:44think if I end up picking this team Jack
- 32:46irrespective of what happens in the next
- 32:47two to three weeks I will not be using a
- 32:51transfer because for example my my
- 32:54example like even if let's say Saka
- 32:56banks or Turkey banks uh I for example I
- 32:59have Ali Dance I will not be selling
- 33:00Ellie Dance for Turkey even if Turkey
- 33:02bangs because Ellie D is just not the
- 33:03sort of pick you sell he's like he's
- 33:05more of a steady Eddie neighbor you know
- 33:06what you're getting with him right
- 33:08>> so in that sense I think if if let's say
- 33:11Saka looks irresistible then I might get
- 33:12him before game week And then by then I
- 33:14would I hope that I would have
- 33:15accumulated enough free transfers to be
- 33:17able to commit that sort of surgery. But
- 33:19you're right this draft has
- 33:23maybe would probably lock me out of
- 33:26transfer to Saka quite easily. So I
- 33:28think that's a very fair argument that
- 33:29you've made. Maybe I can sell Palmer um
- 33:33if push comes to shove and and maybe
- 33:35change in Arsenal slot here or there.
- 33:37But it's it's like going to be two
- 33:39transfers away by game week six. And I
- 33:40don't think before game week six I will
- 33:42be making any transfer to Burki or Saka.
- 33:45But realistically I think you're right
- 33:46in in pointing out that those are two
- 33:48players who can bang in game week three
- 33:49and I might want them by game week four.
- 33:52>> Yeah. Yeah. That that's that's that's
- 33:54very fair. I will ask you just one more
- 33:56thing as well. Have you considered just
- 33:58making two transfers to get Harland in
- 34:01and then wild carding next week or just
- 34:04just holding the wild card? is this this
- 34:05you know this wild card is the most it
- 34:08is the most important chip in the entire
- 34:10season. I think it's worth you know I
- 34:11mean obviously you know that but it's
- 34:12worth saying that this is the most
- 34:14important chip that we have.
- 34:16>> Um how have you considered that at all?
- 34:19>> I mean you've wild carded already but
- 34:21did you consider that?
- 34:22>> I I haven't actually carded. I've taken
- 34:24like a minus 48 or minus something.
- 34:26>> Okay essentially because I was like if
- 34:29if Harland gets injured before the dead
- 34:31end I might free hit instead. But uh
- 34:33yeah, hypothetically I could use two
- 34:35transfers. I could have used two
- 34:36transfers to get Holland in. But I don't
- 34:39want to be in a position where by game
- 34:40week seven I'm let's say using a wild
- 34:41card and then I have zero free transfers
- 34:43in hand. I would rather go into gameweek
- 34:44seven or eight with three to four free
- 34:46transfers and a wild card chip used
- 34:48rather than the other way other way
- 34:50around.
- 34:51>> Fair enough. You could
- 34:52>> It helps so much value as well. It helps
- 34:55so much with team value as well.
- 34:57>> Yeah, it does. But team value points. I
- 35:00want points and like information.
- 35:03could have you could have done that.
- 35:05Your your wild card's got an 89% team
- 35:07rating. This has got 88% team rating and
- 35:09you've kept your wild card. Looks pretty
- 35:12good. No,
- 35:13>> but I would expect some of the minutes
- 35:15to improve for some of the players. For
- 35:16example, O'Reilly, I don't think his
- 35:18minutes are accurate. Uh if there he's
- 35:19projected the right minutes, he's going
- 35:21to be fine. And it does improve when
- 35:23when you sort of look at it at a longer
- 35:26horizon as opposed to this week.
- 35:28>> Uh okay. Oh, sorry. I've realized I've
- 35:30even shown this on screen. I've just put
- 35:31Picar's. This is Picar's team um for for
- 35:35gaming three. It would have been I've
- 35:36transferred Harland in here for um Isak
- 35:39and then I transferred in Bruno
- 35:40Fernandez for Gross. Anyway,
- 35:44let's leave it there. Thank you very
- 35:45much, Picar as always. Uh enjoyed that.
- 35:48Yeah, again guys, I wanted to push back
- 35:50more, but this I really do like I I like
- 35:53that wild card a lot. It's it's hard.
- 35:54Let me know in the comments down below
- 35:56what do you think about the wild card
- 35:57team that Bar's built there. Um, yeah.
- 36:00>> And also, what do you think about about
- 36:02uh just wild carding this early in
- 36:04general? I want to hear your thoughts on
- 36:05that. Looks very good, BAR. Yes.
- 36:07>> Yeah. Just just one final argument. I I
- 36:09could hypothetically have gotten Harland
- 36:11and Gross like you mentioned, but then
- 36:13what would I do be doing for Palmer and
- 36:14gaming for
- 36:16>> uh a wild card, more information, could
- 36:18get injured.
- 36:19>> Yeah, I mean that's essentially what I'm
- 36:21doing, right? I'm sort of delaying the
- 36:22inevitable. So, might as well do it when
- 36:23I feel comfortable enough to pull the
- 36:26trigger. I say I do remember this last
- 36:29year and I delayed and it wasn't the
- 36:30right thing to do and I'm try I'm I'm
- 36:32slightly thinking to myself
- 36:36should I learn from that but last year
- 36:38we didn't get any more information
- 36:40really my team was very similar to your
- 36:42wild card when I wild carded but I just
- 36:44feel like that I just I I don't know
- 36:46that was slightly later in the season
- 36:48anyway for two weeks anyway I'll stop
- 36:51going on about it thank you very much as
- 36:53always very interesting chat
- 36:55>> thank you
- 36:56>> um thank you guys for watching and again
