- 1:59>> You are the nicest. You No, you are the
- 2:01nicest. You know, I was saying something
- 2:03to my director a while ago and my
- 2:04director actually told me
- 2:15No, that's very true. Sen has that
- 2:18factor okay
- 2:20everything but when she comes in a room
- 2:22you will understand what true beauty is
- 2:24ladies and GENTLEMEN
- 2:30my wife said
- 2:33yes you can put her anywhere everywhere
- 2:35and she'll talk to the highest person to
- 2:37the humble
- 2:38>> job I should be on the show more often
- 2:40my gosh compliments my gosh compliments
- 2:43of the year
- 2:44>> and then the best makeup ARTIST IS
- 2:45SELENUS WOW. I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THAT.
- 2:48But
- 2:49>> how did this all begin? Because not
- 2:50everybody know you do your own makeup
- 2:52and you were a makeup artist back then.
- 2:54>> So I didn't do my makeup today cuz I'm
- 2:55lazy. But um I used to do my makeup my
- 2:58entire 10 years in showbiz.
- 3:00>> Wow.
- 3:00>> Um I started off as a fashion designer
- 3:04and I came back did makeup and I was
- 3:06doing makeup for all the celebrities
- 3:07like I did all the celebrities like Rufa
- 3:10Gutierrez, Rufa Minto, Charard and Mond
- 3:13on on their shows.
- 3:15>> Yeah. I did men. I did Jake Quanka. Um
- 3:18I've done a lot. Marian,
- 3:20>> did you guys know that? Amazing. Sena,
- 3:23>> thank you.
- 3:24>> No, but how did you learn to become a
- 3:25makeup artist? Did you go to school for
- 3:27this?
- 3:27>> So, I went to school in Paris also. So,
- 3:30I did Studio Bau which was fashion
- 3:31design and then I went to makeup forever
- 3:33academy in Paris. In Paris for a year
- 3:36and a half for makeup, prosthetics and
- 3:38body painting.
- 3:39>> Makeup, prosthetics and body painting.
- 3:41>> I wanted to do prosthetics for movies,
- 3:43for horror films.
- 3:45horror films
- 3:47paintings super like morbid. Um, so
- 3:51yeah.
- 3:51>> Have you done a horror film? Have you
- 3:53done prosthetics for a horror film?
- 3:54>> Um, no. I did like TV commercials in in
- 3:57France. I was the makeup artist. I did
- 3:59Jamal, you know, Jamal Deoose. He's a a
- 4:02comedian in France. I used to do the
- 4:03whole Jamal comedy club.
- 4:05>> I used to do their makeup as well.
- 4:07>> Does people know this or this is the
- 4:08first time?
- 4:08>> I mean, it's been here and there. It's
- 4:10you know there's a lot of things written
- 4:11so maybe people forgot but I I was
- 4:14really talking about it back then
- 4:17show I remember I I would enter behind
- 4:19the scenes and then people would look
- 4:21and be like
- 4:24no no makeup artist okay back then
- 4:28request
- 4:29>> okay I was able to do so many artists I
- 4:31did angel look I've done an for like
- 4:33three covers Georgina Billboard
- 4:35>> but did you know them personally before
- 4:37>> No I didn't know anyone the only person
- 4:39I knew Chis was Sharon Koneta.
- 4:41>> Wow.
- 4:41>> Yeah. I didn't know any
- 4:43>> Cuz you grew up in France.
- 4:44>> No, I grew up here.
- 4:45>> Okay.
- 4:45>> I'm pin talaga. I just went to a French
- 4:47school.
- 4:48>> Okay. For college?
- 4:49>> No, French school. I was in kindergarten
- 4:5212th grade and then I left 2006 to study
- 4:55for 3 years. S Paris. So Paris. So,
- 4:59do you are do you still pursue this
- 5:01aside from not uh No, not
- 5:02professionally. But when I get a little
- 5:04bit older and then I kind of take a step
- 5:07back, maybe maybe I get back into it.
- 5:09Let's see.
- 5:09>> Amazing.
- 5:14>> Oh my gosh. Dancing.
- 5:18>> I can dance in the club, but if you give
- 5:20me a dance moves to do now. Super.
- 5:23>> But you sing really well. You are
- 5:26>> Excuse me. I don't think so either. So,
- 5:28I can sing. I can hold a tune, but I'm
- 5:30not like a singer. I'm not like your
- 5:31wife.
- 5:32>> No, she sings jazz. It's super.
- 5:34>> Yeah, actually, I haven't sang in a very
- 5:36long time. But
- 5:36>> guys, if you want to hear Sal sing, you
- 5:38must hear SE sing because it will knock
- 5:40you off your feet. She's amazing.
- 5:42>> Wow. Now, anong song.
- 5:44>> Uh, you're a French song. You I used to
- 5:46sang a French song before cuz when we
- 5:47asked your brother to sing a song, he
- 5:49did say now what song. He just went on
- 5:51and just started singing.
- 5:52>> Okay. I don't know if I remember the
- 5:53lyrics. So, this is a song. This is
- 5:55Patricia. Okay. In French, she wants K.
- 6:25It's like that. That's a I don't
- 6:26remember the lyrics.
- 6:30>> Very J.
- 6:31>> Amazing. Amazing. You still pursue this
- 6:33sometimes. Do you sing?
- 6:34>> No. No. No. I haven't. Honestly, I
- 6:35haven't sang in a very long time. So,
- 6:38we'll see. Head, shoulders, knees, and
- 6:40toes. Knees and toes.
- 6:41>> Okay. For the kids. Amazing. Amazing.
- 6:43Well, has there ever been a moment in
- 6:46your life when you genuinely didn't feel
- 6:49beautiful?
- 6:50>> I think everyone goes through those
- 6:52phases, you know,
- 6:52>> even you.
- 6:53>> Yeah, of course. Okay.
- 6:55>> One, if you've if you've done something
- 6:56bad.
- 6:57>> Sometimes you just wake up and you're
- 6:58like, it's more about having a bad day.
- 7:00Also after pregnancy honestly I think
- 7:02for a lot of women that's kind of like a
- 7:04eyeopener cuz you never get it when they
- 7:06talk about like postpartum and
- 7:08everything but I feel like after you
- 7:10give birth it becomes like the first 3
- 7:13to 6 months of birth of your your child.
- 7:15It's like it's the ugliest version of
- 7:17you in the sense where you don't
- 7:18understand what's happened to your body.
- 7:20>> How was that experience the first time?
- 7:21>> When you're pregnant it's fine. Your
- 7:22stomach's big and then you're just so
- 7:24happy cuz you're growing a human. You're
- 7:26not thinking of anything else. And then
- 7:27when the human comes out, of course, the
- 7:29best moment of your life, all the
- 7:31happiness in the world. But then when it
- 7:33kind of sinks in 3 months, 6 months, and
- 7:35then you're like staying home, you're
- 7:36not sleeping, you're getting pains from
- 7:39breastfeeding, you're seeing your
- 7:40friends do other things, then you look
- 7:42at yourself and you don't recognize
- 7:44yourself, you don't feel like yourself.
- 7:45>> So you went you actually went through
- 7:47this also.
- 7:47>> Yeah. Yeah. I think every girl some have
- 7:49it worse than others, but I really think
- 7:51it's that's the one moment where I
- 7:53looked at myself and I was like, who am
- 7:54I? Ganon. So, I mean, I'm sure you're an
- 7:57inspiration to so many women out there.
- 7:59What going back to that time, how do you
- 8:01transform yourself and say, "Hey, this
- 8:04is it. I'm going to start something."
- 8:05>> Yeah. I think it's about knowing that
- 8:06things take time and like like all good
- 8:08things in life, things take time. So,
- 8:11don't one, don't pressure yourself. Two,
- 8:13know that it will take at least a good
- 8:15for me a good year, a year and a half
- 8:17till you get back to whatever that
- 8:19normal feeling is. Um, it just Yeah,
- 8:23just don't pressure yourself. So don't
- 8:25pressure yourself and you really
- 8:26organize yourself, eating right, being
- 8:28physically fit.
- 8:30>> Yeah, just taking the steps in
- 8:32>> being with the people that you love,
- 8:34like having good relationships with
- 8:35other people. Um I think that's all very
- 8:38important
- 8:38>> because you're a very positive person
- 8:40like that.
- 8:41>> I'm pretty much Yeah, I'm pretty
- 8:42positive actually.
- 8:43>> How do you stay positive especially with
- 8:45your husband? He's ultra positive also.
- 8:47How do you maintain that positivity,
- 8:49that positive energy all the time? I
- 8:51mean, for me, being positive is not like
- 8:54saying everything is all like
- 8:56butterflies and rainbow. It's just
- 8:58knowing that when things go wrong,
- 9:01>> you know that at one point you're going
- 9:02to look back at that day and be like, I
- 9:05was so dumb to think like this, or I was
- 9:06so dumb to feel this way. Um, I feel
- 9:10like there's always something good that
- 9:13comes out of of things that you're not
- 9:16prepared for.
- 9:17>> And things happen for a reason. I really
- 9:19believe in that. Like things happen for
- 9:20a reason. So when I go through something
- 9:22bad, I'm always like I know I'm going to
- 9:24look back at this day and I'll be like
- 9:27like I just feel like you know life has
- 9:30a plan for you and you just kind of have
- 9:32to just go with the flow and learn how
- 9:34to let go and then learn how to you know
- 9:37be fearful also because I feel like if
- 9:38you're not scared of things, if you're
- 9:40not afraid of things happening then
- 9:42you're just living in contentment and if
- 9:45you live in contentment you don't grow
- 9:46as a person.
- 9:47>> Amazing. If you live in contentment, you
- 9:50don't grow as a person.
- 9:51>> I feel like when you're fearful, you put
- 9:54yourself in a situation where you
- 9:57>> find other ways to do things and that
- 10:00makes you grow.
- 10:01>> Nice. So, you really break boundaries
- 10:02and push yourself all the time. I mean,
- 10:04were you always like this, Selen? I
- 10:05mean, in an early age, you you were
- 10:07known to be a very independent woman.
- 10:09Were you always independent or you
- 10:11learned how to be independent? I mean, I
- 10:13feel like I learned man, like again,
- 10:14like you you just learn with the
- 10:17progression of life.
- 10:18>> Um, but I feel like as I get older,
- 10:21>> like it's it's easier for me to kind of
- 10:23set myself apart from certain situations
- 10:26and have an outer look instead of
- 10:28reacting right away.
- 10:29>> But when you were when you were still
- 10:31younger, you were reacting a lot, right?
- 10:33>> Yeah. YOLO. Oh, one life IT
- 10:38YOU WENT THROUGH THAT. You went through
- 10:39that.
- 10:39>> Yeah. Yeah. Of course. And I don't
- 10:40regret a single moment of it. I had the
- 10:43best like high school and college life.
- 10:45And when I studied in Paris, I really
- 10:48like yolo tala.
- 10:50>> 100%.
- 10:50>> I don't regret anything. Yeah. Yeah.
- 10:52>> But now we know that Sen chooses what to
- 10:55do, who to stay with, what projects to
- 10:57say yes to, and you say a lot of nos
- 11:00today.
- 11:00>> Yes.
- 11:01>> How did you learn how to say no? So that
- 11:04again comes with age or I mean I've seen
- 11:06a lot of younger people that really have
- 11:08that confidence and can say no but AO I
- 11:10was really a people pleaser.
- 11:12>> Yeah.
- 11:12>> Like I had to say yes to everything. I
- 11:14had to say yes to every project. I had
- 11:16to say I used to work in a bar. I was a
- 11:18bartender. So
- 11:19>> Oh just like Irwin also. So but he's
- 11:21more more art mixologist.
- 11:24>> So you can you can
- 11:26>> I can do like regular I'm like bar girl
- 11:29as in like coyote ugly. Amazing.
- 11:31>> When I was in Paris, I was actually
- 11:33working in in the bar of Johnny Depp and
- 11:35Sean Penn. They had a bar called the
- 11:36Manake.
- 11:37>> You met them?
- 11:38>> I didn't meet them, but I met a lot of
- 11:40other artists like Bono, Alicia Keys.
- 11:43They all came to to the club and I was
- 11:45the only one that could speak English.
- 11:46So, they hired me because I could speak
- 11:48English and French. Um, I could
- 11:51understand some Spanish and German, but
- 11:52that was back then. And I learned so
- 11:55much behind the bar, like the crazy
- 11:57things that happen in the night life.
- 11:59Like there's there's a lot of bad
- 12:01people. There's a lot of good people,
- 12:03too. But there's a lot of crazy stories.
- 12:04>> Like what's a crazy story you can share
- 12:06with us?
- 12:07>> The night life is really it's it's like
- 12:08what you see in the movies.
- 12:09>> But you had fun. You had fun.
- 12:11>> I mean, I was bartending. I was doing my
- 12:13job and then I'd stay up. I had really
- 12:15really good friends. A tight group of
- 12:16friends. But yeah, the things that you
- 12:18see is like I don't think I would see it
- 12:20here in Manila. Like
- 12:21>> So the bar scene in Paris is extremely
- 12:25different from the bar scene in Manila.
- 12:26>> I mean maybe I also don't go I haven't
- 12:28man party girl now. So back in the day I
- 12:31used to I used to go out a lot and yeah
- 12:32Manila was like just dancing and and fun
- 12:35and I knew everyone there in Paris like
- 12:38it's just a new world.
- 12:39>> But you know what I admire you because
- 12:41you know you were there at a very young
- 12:42age but you were really strong
- 12:43independent and and powerful. No. What's
- 12:46your advice to your two daughters now
- 12:48that when they become 18 and 20?
- 12:50>> When they become 18. I don't know. I
- 12:51think I feel like life is a little bit
- 12:53scarier nowadays. cuz I feel like that
- 12:54with social media like and I don't know
- 12:56how it's going to be for them in like 10
- 12:58years, but I don't know yet. Like I
- 13:00think I'll just know when I'm when I'm
- 13:02there. I just want to make sure that
- 13:03they're able to open up to me, that
- 13:04they're able to talk to me and and Nico
- 13:07for that matter. Actually, Nico's always
- 13:08going to be there with like binoculars.
- 13:10>> Yeah, because Nico told us about Kevin.
- 13:12You heard about you know who Kevin is?
- 13:13>> Um, so
- 13:14>> Kevin, the guy that comes
- 13:15>> I'm going to be honest with you.
- 13:17>> I didn't watch Nico's episode,
- 13:20>> okay?
- 13:22But I did watch the snippets going
- 13:24around Instagram and stuff. So I've seen
- 13:27the snippets. So Kevin, I'm guessing is
- 13:30a fictional
- 13:31>> is a fictional character that comes
- 13:33visit
- 13:33>> comes visits the house and how he would
- 13:35treat Kevin etc. Now before we enter
- 13:38Nico, everybody after that episode has
- 13:41been extremely concerned.
- 13:43>> Why
- 13:43>> is Nico still alive? Yes, he is. He is.
- 13:48>> I mean,
- 13:48>> he is. Actually,
- 13:49>> I just want to say Nico did not answer
- 13:51his phone 3 days after and he said and
- 13:53he replied 3 days after saying I'm okay.
- 13:55>> Yeah. He's like, "Don't worry."
- 13:57Actually, me real what he was saying.
- 13:59>> Really?
- 14:00>> Yeah. Me exaggerated.
- 14:02>> Ten this evening, this is your chance to
- 14:06fact check and clarify the fake news
- 14:08that came out of that interview.
- 14:11>> Okay? Because this, you know, this whole
- 14:12world, social media can always be
- 14:14one-sided. Yes. So, it's very important
- 14:17to also hear the other side.
- 14:20>> Do you agree?
- 14:21>> Yes.
- 14:22>> Okay.
- 14:23Ladies and gentlemen, this is the sen
- 14:27side.
- 14:29>> The sen side.
- 14:31>> Okay. We'll be playing a clip from
- 14:33Nico's interview. We'll be we'll be
- 14:34showing you the things you didn't see
- 14:35yet. Okay. you can confirm, deny or
- 14:38heavily revise his version of the story
- 14:42because a lot of his friends after the
- 14:43episode commented sil Timap roof
- 14:48they commented, "Oh my god, Nikico, it's
- 14:49so exaggerated."
- 14:52>> So we don't know if it's all
- 14:53exaggeration or it's just facts. So,
- 14:56you're here today to do this because
- 14:58ladies and gentlemen, I just want you
- 15:00everybody know that after Nico's
- 15:01episode, I got a we got a text from you
- 15:03or our callers say Sen wants to guess.
- 15:07Okay, so here she is ladies and
- 15:08gentlemen. Give more love to Sen. Here
- 15:11we go. Here we go, baby. Here.
- 15:13>> Yeah. So, we're going to be showing here
- 15:15the Senite. Are you ready?
- 15:17>> I'm ready.
- 15:17>> We'll be showing this. She approached me
- 15:20completely straight and she started
- 15:21talking to me like you know very
- 15:23approachable and I'm holding back a
- 15:25little bit like because I'm you know I'm
- 15:26like whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa
- 15:28wait relax like like chill a bit right
- 15:31we talked that night and that's the
- 15:32first time we met I think she fell in
- 15:34love immediately it took me a little bit
- 15:36of time
- 15:41>> my first question who was Niko with
- 15:44>> he was with three other guys actually
- 15:46the owners of Las Flores before. So like
- 15:48Uri, Sigla, Danny, like all Spanish.
- 15:51Spanish
- 15:51>> borcada.
- 15:52>> Okay. Because Nico said he was there for
- 15:54charity work up to 3:00 in the morning.
- 15:56>> Yeah. In time.
- 15:57>> Do you know time? Do you know what time?
- 15:59I mean, it used to be called Watermelon,
- 16:00I think. So it's it's a it's a club that
- 16:03really only happens after 12 midnight.
- 16:06>> So charity work speculate whatever
- 16:09charity work you'd like to do then
- 16:11during the day. I don't know what he did
- 16:13before that, but I didn't know him back
- 16:14then. So you were shooting a music video
- 16:16with Rico Blanco before.
- 16:18>> So I was a Rico Blanco because I was
- 16:21writing a song with Rico Blanco.
- 16:24>> You write songs also.
- 16:25>> I wrote two songs in my last album. So I
- 16:28wrote one song with Rico Blanco. So we
- 16:30were together from like 6:00 p.m. till
- 16:32almost 3:00 in the morning writing and
- 16:35recording the song.
- 16:36>> Okay.
- 16:36>> And then after recording, he was like,
- 16:38"S let's just go have a drink." And I
- 16:40was like so tired. But then I'm like,
- 16:42this guy just spent the whole night like
- 16:45helping me write the song like and he
- 16:48didn't ask for anything in return. We I
- 16:49didn't pay him, nothing. He was just
- 16:51really
- 16:51>> nice,
- 16:51>> really nice. So he's like, "Let's go to
- 16:53Time." I was like, "Okay." So I went to
- 16:54Time and then I saw Nico. But that
- 16:56wasn't the first time I saw Nico. I saw
- 16:58him like four times prior to that
- 17:00>> because he was just in the Philippines
- 17:01for two weeks.
- 17:02>> Yeah. So I met him
- 17:04>> in Opus.
- 17:05>> Okay.
- 17:06>> I was going out with Rufa Minto and I
- 17:08just wanted to be single cuz I just
- 17:09finished the breakup. I was like ready
- 17:11to yolo and then Tim Yap was there and
- 17:14Tim Yap got my hand and she he's like,
- 17:17"Oh, so then look n this Argentinian
- 17:19boy." And then he was making me touch
- 17:20his abs and I was like, "Okay,
- 17:22whatever." Like I wasn't interested cuz
- 17:23I just wanted to be single.
- 17:25>> What was Nico then? Pak. I thought he
- 17:27was just here for modeling cuz you know
- 17:29back then there's a lot of Brazilian
- 17:30models that came in and I was really not
- 17:32interested in like a
- 17:34>> in-n-out kind of thing. I also didn't
- 17:36want to be in a serious relationship. So
- 17:38it's the first time I saw him and then
- 17:40second time I saw him I think was at
- 17:41Rufa's birthday in fever and then there
- 17:44I was like ah actually this guy's
- 17:47good-looking and everything but then I
- 17:48didn't mind him and then in time
- 17:51>> but was he minding you?
- 17:52>> No he wasn't.
- 17:52>> Oh so ignored completely ignored and
- 17:54then in time I spoke to him and and then
- 17:58I asked him about like what he does and
- 18:00everything. I'm like I've met you three
- 18:01times. He didn't remember. He did not
- 18:03remember. I said I've met you three
- 18:04times already before. He's like really?
- 18:05I said
- 18:10anyway so he said he didn't remember me
- 18:12and then I said to what do you do and he
- 18:14used to work for a company where he do
- 18:16like country analysis and I was like oh
- 18:18ship tal I want and then I was like I
- 18:21want this and a I'm a go-getter. So then
- 18:24I had my birthday party my 27th birthday
- 18:27party
- 18:27>> and then you texted him a generic text.
- 18:29>> I texted everybody but I texted him
- 18:31maybe like 15 to 20 times.
- 18:34So, I'm like, "Hi, guys. Robot 8:00 p.m.
- 18:37Choo choo choo choo choo choo." And then
- 18:39he finally replied he was coming. And
- 18:40then the kiss was my birthday present to
- 18:43myself,
- 18:44>> not for him.
- 18:45>> No, to yourself. No, just to get Hello.
- 18:49I know what I want. I got it on my
- 18:50birthday.
- 18:53>> 15 years later, here we are with two
- 18:55kids.
- 18:55>> Amazing. We'll show you the second clip
- 18:57because you you were talking about the
- 18:59sending the message. So, this is the
- 19:00second clip. She keeps sending me this
- 19:02message that is a general message
- 19:04saying, "Hey guys, see you in robot for
- 19:06my birthday and then she keep forwarding
- 19:08me that general message." The truth is I
- 19:10found out after that she was just
- 19:12forwarding me a general message just to
- 19:13me
- 19:14>> because I was not replying to it.
- 19:17>> Yeah. So
- 19:18>> he's right with everything he said.
- 19:19>> Oh, so this one is a fact.
- 19:21>> That's a fact.
- 19:25>> But was it true he did not have a
- 19:27girlfriend or he was not seeing anybody?
- 19:29>> He was not seeing anybody. He was seeing
- 19:30many buddies.
- 19:35>> So he was doing a lot of charity work.
- 19:36>> I mean he was here.
- 19:38>> Yeah, if that's what you call he was I
- 19:39mean young guy. He was like what he was
- 19:41if I was 27 he was 28 and like traveling
- 19:45the world cuz he used to work like he
- 19:46was working in Mozambique and then he
- 19:48worked in in Ghana and then he went to
- 19:51uh Holland and like he was two three
- 19:53months three months per country.
- 19:56He had a sick spark. He was a
- 19:57good-looking man. Yeah. So, of course, I
- 19:59mean, you have fun. You're young, right?
- 20:01It's like,
- 20:02>> you know,
- 20:02>> but the question is, were you really
- 20:04pursuing him? Was it love at first sight
- 20:06when you saw him?
- 20:07>> So, no, it was like I was ready to just
- 20:10have fun. I was like, okay, I don't want
- 20:12a relationship. It's going to have fun.
- 20:14Sorry, that's Baka. That's my friend.
- 20:16Um, and then there after 2 months, he
- 20:19was like, "Are you seeing anyone else?"
- 20:21I said, "No, I'm just seeing you." He's
- 20:22like, "Oh, I heard you're seeing other
- 20:24people." And I said, "No." I said, "Why
- 20:26are you jealous?"
- 20:27>> Oh. And then we made it official.
- 20:29>> No, when you said, "Why are you
- 20:30jealous?" What did he say?
- 20:31>> No, he he said, "No, I just wanted I
- 20:33just want to be clear on what what we're
- 20:36getting ourselves into." But uh yeah, so
- 20:38we after two months, we said, "Okay,
- 20:40exclusively dating." And then on the
- 20:42third month, I forced him to buy an
- 20:44apartment with me because when you know,
- 20:46you know.
- 20:47>> Yeah. I was like, "We need to buy this.
- 20:48It's a good deal." And he was like,
- 20:51"Wait a minute. You haven't even met my
- 20:53parents." Um I said, "No." So I said
- 20:55later on if we split ways we half half
- 20:57like we can write it on a paper it's
- 20:59just a good deal we can't say no and
- 21:01then we bought the apartment together.
- 21:03>> Amazing.
- 21:03>> Yeah.
- 21:04>> Was Irwan protective when Matt G prime
- 21:07time returns?

- 22:06>> All right, we're back with the Salen
- 22:09Husseaf Moso. Thank you.
- 22:11>> So, was protective?
- 22:14No, I think everyone was used to me
- 22:18being flirtatious, let's say. Um, and
- 22:22yeah, I had I have a lot of guy friends
- 22:24also. So that he sees me with guys.
- 22:26>> So he was the baby brother also. He
- 22:28couldn't he didn't have any say also.
- 22:30>> He's my baby brother. And whatever he
- 22:31says I'm like you're the boss. You
- 22:34>> boss. But this is my life. That's your
- 22:35life. Do you? I do. I I do me.
- 22:37>> No. You really grew up. Is that the
- 22:39French side? The very independent, very
- 22:40strong. I mean, we lived together in
- 22:42Paris for 2 years cuz he came a year
- 22:44after me. So, we lived in an apartment
- 22:46together.
- 22:46>> So, the only thing I was strict about
- 22:48was
- 22:49>> like the the friends he brought in the
- 22:50shoes out of the out of the house and
- 22:53then Yeah, that's
- 22:55>> Would you and I fight?
- 22:56>> No, more brother and my sister cuz I'm
- 22:58the middle child. So, I'm the parent
- 22:59peacemaker.
- 23:00>> Ladies and gentlemen, here's the third
- 23:01clip. Watch this. Okay.
- 23:03>> So, is a order and clean freak.
- 23:07>> Okay. Like do you see how I I cannot
- 23:08leave one thing on the table for one
- 23:10second so she will clean it. But Sen is
- 23:12like really a clean freak in this case.
- 23:14Like if she's like if you want to prank
- 23:16her one day, you know what you do?
- 23:18>> Just mess up.
- 23:18>> Go to my house and mess everything up
- 23:20and come and see how she reacts. She
- 23:22won't be able to hold herself.
- 23:24>> Yes.
- 23:24>> True.
- 23:25>> I'm super need. I like I love to
- 23:27organize everything. I like things to
- 23:29always look like it's ready for a photo
- 23:31shoot. I mean it's nice to to come home
- 23:32and be in a clean area. I can't stand
- 23:35mess
- 23:35>> living with Nico back in the back in the
- 23:37in the beginning years. Was he always
- 23:40very neat and clean also?
- 23:41>> I mean until now same he's a guy like no
- 23:44offense to boys. I know some boys that
- 23:46are very clean but Niko's not dirty.
- 23:49He's just messy.
- 23:51You're going to throw the towel on the
- 23:52floor.
- 23:54They're like
- 23:55>> So up to now, how many years have you
- 23:56been married?
- 23:57>> We've been married 10 years together 15
- 23:59years. So up to now
- 24:04like I'm like do you like really like so
- 24:07just small things like that that bother
- 24:08me get me so like but I just know like I
- 24:12mean I rather have him have that than
- 24:15some other vices like okay I can deal
- 24:17with that.
- 24:17>> Yeah Nico's vice is just being messy.
- 24:19>> He's just being messy and intense with
- 24:22exercise.
- 24:22>> Yeah he's intense with everything. Yeah.
- 24:24How? Great.
- 24:26>> How do you um handle his intensity?
- 24:28Because you're you're also intense. So
- 24:30that's why.
- 24:30>> No, but you're intense, too. Intense.
- 24:32>> No, no, no. You're chill, but still
- 24:35intense. Meaning you're really driven
- 24:36and work out and everything.
- 24:37>> I'm driven, but like what I mean by
- 24:39composed. You're composed. I'm composed.
- 24:41I'm quiet. I like I breathe before I
- 24:43react.
- 24:44>> Yeah.
- 24:45>> See, Nico, he's more anxious. He
- 24:47overthinks.
- 24:48>> That's why I think you guys balance each
- 24:50other.
- 24:51>> In a couple, it's nice to be different.
- 24:52Does Niko get anxiety attacks sometimes?
- 24:54Like he gets so nervous at some point.
- 24:56>> He gets nervous especially when it comes
- 24:57with the the kids like ever since we've
- 24:59had kids like OAT. Um when it comes to
- 25:03our daughters but I think that's normal
- 25:06for a parent like you know when the
- 25:08moment you you give life you're just so
- 25:10scared of losing that life or even
- 25:12losing your life. Whatever happens
- 25:14happens inshah. Um but there's no more
- 25:18bahala Batman when you have kids like
- 25:20you need to plan. And you need to make
- 25:22sure like things go as planned um as
- 25:25much as possible.
- 25:26>> Yeah. I mean, do you think when your
- 25:27kids turn 16, 17, 18, Nico would allow
- 25:30them to be going to the clubs or out at
- 25:33night in the future or you think Nico
- 25:35will join them?
- 25:36>> Until now, he'll say he'll say not
- 25:38happening. So, I just said, you know,
- 25:40let's just make house parties. I heard
- 25:41house parties house and then you make
- 25:43people have to pay to enter or something
- 25:45like that.
- 25:45>> So, I'm like, if you want, let's just do
- 25:47that house party. So, you know what's
- 25:48happening. It's in the house. It's a bit
- 25:50noisy, but at least you know what's
- 25:51happening. Um, but we'll see when we get
- 25:53there. Again, he says a lot of things in
- 25:55Bakad. Bakad'll dominate him.
- 25:57>> So,
- 25:59he's always everywhere. Remember when we
- 26:01had dinner in the restaurant, he just
- 26:02left us all of a sudden and goes.
- 26:04>> That's why I don't like to have dinner
- 26:05with him there because then it's always
- 26:06like side eyes like looking at Chingolo
- 26:10or like when I'm in Chingolo with him,
- 26:12>> he's like I'm having a conversation with
- 26:13him, but I I can see his eyes are like
- 26:15looking at the plates of the people.
- 26:17Like he's like I can't focus. I'm like
- 26:19I'm fine with that. You understand that?
- 26:20>> Yeah. I mean, I understand the hard work
- 26:22you have to put in to open a restaurant.
- 26:25And to have a successful restaurant, you
- 26:27really have to be on top of it. You have
- 26:28to be there. So, it's his work. I can't
- 26:31I'm not going to be angry.
- 26:32>> So, what is Sen and Nico's quiet time?
- 26:35Is there times that you just keep quiet?
- 26:37>> We're always together. Every morning,
- 26:39we're together. We wake up at 6:00 a.m.
- 26:41with the kids. The kids leave for school
- 26:42at 6:30 and then we're together for at
- 26:46least an hour having our coffee outside.
- 26:48Yes.
- 26:48>> So you talk together having coffee?
- 26:50>> We talk a lot.
- 26:50>> What what's a typical conversation? You
- 26:52and Nico looking at the garden having
- 26:54coffee. What's that dynamic there?
- 26:55>> Yeah. I mean the good thing about us, we
- 26:57can talk about everything under the sun.
- 26:58Like sometimes it's like family.
- 27:00Sometimes it's it's about getting older.
- 27:03Sometimes it's the kids. Sometimes it's
- 27:05about problems that we have or he has in
- 27:07his in his work business.
- 27:10>> Um yeah, even like when it comes to
- 27:12paintings or exhibit like exhibits I do,
- 27:14I always ask his like I'm like is this
- 27:16good? Is this not good?
- 27:18point of view. No
- 27:21>> not happening.
- 27:22>> Okay. All right. So then this is our
- 27:23fourth clip. Please watch this.
- 27:24>> So Sen hates it.
- 27:26>> Okay.
- 27:27>> She hates it so much.
- 27:28>> Okay.
- 27:29>> So what she did is we start doing skits
- 27:31using lassando and she slowly start
- 27:33breaking it like literally like first it
- 27:36was a hole here in my nipple because it
- 27:38was a it was a skit that was like Nemo
- 27:40girls. Nemo girls neo girls that we know
- 27:41Maria and she get upset and she cut my
- 27:43nipple. No my my son. And and yesterday
- 27:45within our skateboard, she pushed me on
- 27:47the bed and she breaks this. So
- 27:48basically what she's doing slowly, this
- 27:50is throwing Lando. But this is not going
- 27:53anywhere, guys. This is staying. It
- 27:54doesn't matter how long. So what's
- 27:57Lando? How much do you love Lando?
- 27:59>> I hate it so much. He has two actually.
- 28:02He had three and then he gave one to
- 28:03Will. So he has two left. But he wears
- 28:05it all the time. Like not even just for
- 28:08exercising. Like sometimes we're like
- 28:09yeah shooting videos for brands and I'm
- 28:11like you can't wear that. like you can't
- 28:14wear that on the video. But he still
- 28:15wears it. But the thing is it became
- 28:17Yeah. I guess Lando became a little
- 28:19famous.
- 28:20>> Yeah.
- 28:20>> Because of how much I hate it and
- 28:22because of how much he loves it, but we
- 28:24compromise. So yeah. So my my goal and
- 28:26my mission this 2026 is by the end of
- 28:28the year.
- 28:32>> Yeah.
- 28:35>> That's that's the whole that's the
- 28:36bullied husband's t-shirt talaga. That's
- 28:39what they should be wearing.
- 28:40>> Amazing. Amazing. Lando. Okay. Okay.
- 28:43Okay. Next video. Let's watch this.
- 28:46>> So, Lind is the nicest person ever. And
- 28:47I think the whole wife Zilla thing comes
- 28:49because it's funny how opposite of a
- 28:51wife she is.
- 28:53>> But it's also like I think Filipinos are
- 28:55a bit like Argentinians and and you know
- 28:57the the whole concept of like
- 28:59>> we are bullied by our wife is kind of
- 29:01funny and rel.
- 29:02>> Yes.
- 29:02>> When wife Jayla came about, how did that
- 29:04make you feel?
- 29:05>> I I don't I mean we it's it was always
- 29:07been kind of like a joke based on
- 29:09reality cuz Yeah. Yeah. I am a clean
- 29:11freak and and I get pissed for certain
- 29:13things, but he's not the one battered or
- 29:16anything. Like we have a very healthy
- 29:18relationship. So, it's just it's funny
- 29:19because like I see it in a lot of my
- 29:21friends also. All the skits we make are
- 29:23like based on like real things but of
- 29:25course amplified.
- 29:26>> If you close your eyes right now and I
- 29:28say the word wife, who wife would you
- 29:30think?
- 29:30>> Georgina.
- 29:31>> Georgina.
- 29:32>> Yeah.
- 29:33>> Why?
- 29:33>> She has to have things done her way or
- 29:35the highway.
- 29:36>> Oh, she's strict. Georgina was strict.
- 29:38>> Yeah. So I feel like she would be my my
- 29:40wife Zilla.
- 29:41>> But wife Zilla is not a negative thing.
- 29:43It's an exciting thing.
- 29:45>> It's a woman that knows what she wants
- 29:46is and is in control.
- 29:48>> Is in control. Yeah.
- 29:49>> Yeah. Our sixth video. What's this?
- 29:51>> I became a very strong feminist also.
- 29:53I'm like all for women today. Like I I
- 29:56feel this war is unfair. I'm like I'm an
- 29:58activist almost. I'm like I I really
- 30:00believe this war is not fair enough for
- 30:01for women and I like always trying to
- 30:03push any feminist move. I'm there. For
- 30:05all the men out there, if you are not
- 30:07against sexism, you are in favor.
- 30:09There's no like middle point.
- 30:11>> Nico became a softy after we had the two
- 30:13girls.
- 30:14>> So, he wasn't like
- 30:15>> I've never seen him cry in my life. Even
- 30:16in our wedding day, he didn't cry like
- 30:19to that point. But the moment I gave
- 30:22birth to Tian, like he was sobbing like
- 30:25a baby.
- 30:26>> Like how how much Nico cry? like
- 30:32like really really like that. So he
- 30:36cried for like an hour straight where
- 30:38our doctor was like, "Are you done?"
- 30:39Like the emotional moment is done. She's
- 30:41given birth. Your child is well and
- 30:43alive. He couldn't stop crying. And now
- 30:45every time we watch like even if it's a
- 30:47commercial or a movie where there's like
- 30:49like a child involved as in as in
- 30:52superak I was like so he's so sensitive.
- 30:55He's just so scared like his he's so in
- 30:58love with our two girls
- 30:59>> like they're he there's nothing he won't
- 31:01do for them.
- 31:03>> Amazing.
- 31:03>> So yeah, extreme feminist now. He's like
- 31:05I want the world to be fair and I want
- 31:08them to be able to do what they want and
- 31:09not be afraid.
- 31:10>> And I think the way you guys are raising
- 31:12them is is really empowering them to
- 31:14become really strong ladies in the
- 31:16future.
- 31:17>> Yeah, they they scare me sometimes.
- 31:19>> Really?
- 31:20>> But they're super smart and super
- 31:21independent already.
- 31:22>> Yeah. Very. Because I really believe
- 31:24there are just so many things women can
- 31:26do so much better than men.
- 31:28>> A lot. I can name a whole list.
- 31:31>> They all have, you know. No, no, that's
- 31:33very true. I I believe like, you know,
- 31:34you guys have
- 31:35>> because men are reactive.
- 31:37>> Yeah.
- 31:38>> Women they they know how to pause before
- 31:40they react. I think men are very
- 31:44>> like
- 31:45>> women are more like okay being
- 31:48intuitive. Let's be relaxed. Yeah. Let's
- 31:50take a step back.
- 31:51>> Yeah. We have to learn a lot from you
- 31:52guys. Yeah. Yeah. So, what was
- 31:54motherhood taught you about raising
- 31:55strong girls today? Did did you your
- 31:58concept about motherhood a shift when
- 31:59you have two baby girls?
- 32:01>> I mean, I'm still learning like
- 32:02motherhood is about learning every step
- 32:04of the way. There's no guide book to
- 32:05being a perfect mom. I mean, I have days
- 32:08where I feel like I'm talking to to them
- 32:10like they're 16 and then I have to like
- 32:12recalibrate and be like, Sen, they're
- 32:15five. Like, they're going through so
- 32:16much emotions like you can't expect them
- 32:18to be a certain way or say certain
- 32:20things or think certain things. So, I
- 32:22mean there's a lot of hit and miss, but
- 32:24but as long as I'm present and I'm
- 32:26trying my best, I know I'm doing my
- 32:28best.
- 32:28>> Presence is very important.
- 32:30>> Presence. We're very present. Niko and I
- 32:32>> How many languages do they speak?
- 32:33>> So, English, Spanish, French, fluently,
- 32:36Tagalog, they're starting to learn um
- 32:39words, but I'm not the best teacher.
- 32:41Tagalog. No, but five years old. Ti is
- 32:44five.
- 32:45>> Is six and then three. Six and three.
- 32:48>> And they speak five languages already.
- 32:50>> No. Five. Four. Three sa math. Huh? You
- 32:53said you said I said
- 32:57you said French, English,
- 32:58>> French, English, Spanish. And they're
- 33:00learning for Chinese in the future.
- 33:04Chinese in the future. And they speak
- 33:06fluent French.
- 33:07>> Yeah. Fluent
- 33:08>> because Nikico was saying they they
- 33:09watch French news or French.
- 33:11>> They only can they if they watch TV,
- 33:13it's only in Spanish. No English TV, no
- 33:15French TV. How
- 33:17>> one language per parent. So or Spanish
- 33:20lang
- 33:22French and English I mix it which is why
- 33:24their Spanish is better
- 33:25>> so this is all planned at home
- 33:27>> yeah all planned they say talaga like um
- 33:30psychi they always say like one face one
- 33:32language
- 33:33>> so they learn perfectly
- 33:35>> I think we'll do that also in the future
- 33:36though
- 33:37>> I want to see if you can speak Italian
- 33:38first
- 33:39>> yeah broken Italian
- 33:42>> so how do you keep your identity as a
- 33:45woman more than just a mother and a wife
- 33:49>> I think to keep your identity. You
- 33:50really have to make sure that you you
- 33:52still continue to do the things you love
- 33:53and you still take time for yourself.
- 33:55Like I just came back from a Korea trip,
- 33:57just me and my sister and my mom. I have
- 34:00my painting. I still go out at night
- 34:02once in the blue moon with my friends.
- 34:03>> So you still have your alone time or
- 34:06time with your family.
- 34:06>> It's still me. Definitely. And
- 34:08especially now that the girls are bigger
- 34:10like I'm more like okay game to to do
- 34:12things that don't include my family.
- 34:15>> So you need the balance. You need the
- 34:17balance. You can't be mama.
- 34:20You need to pursue your passions if you
- 34:22want to study. Like I told I'll go for
- 34:25two weeks in Italy in one of the art
- 34:27schools there to to learn different
- 34:30techniques. I said then I should be able
- 34:32to do it. So yeah, can't stop me and
- 34:35he'll always allow me.
- 34:36>> Amazing how how diversified you are and
- 34:39you know how how many things you do and
- 34:41you all you always do it with passion.
- 34:43>> Yeah.
- 34:43>> Amazing.
- 34:46and the argument intensifies.
- 34:52What language do you use?
- 34:53>> So, people might not believe me, but we
- 34:56honestly don't fight. Like in our 15
- 34:58years of relationship, we fought twice.
- 35:00>> Really?
- 35:01>> Yeah. And the two times I can still
- 35:03remember. One was in Barakai in like
- 35:042012 and then another one was 2018.
- 35:10>> What happened in Barakai? Can you share
- 35:12or not?
- 35:13>> I can share. It's it was he didn't know
- 35:15me that well yet. And I'm the type now
- 35:17like I talk to everyone. Like it doesn't
- 35:19matter who you are. Doesn't matter what
- 35:22situation we're in. If someone will talk
- 35:24to me, I'll I'll talk back out of
- 35:25politeness. Maybe in some occasions it's
- 35:28seen as I don't know like a bad thing,
- 35:30but I'm just like I don't like like
- 35:32again I don't know how to say no
- 35:33sometimes. So if I remember while we
- 35:35were in Barakai, we had drank a bit
- 35:38because obviously back then we were like
- 35:40going out and everything and we were
- 35:42walking in the beach and there was a
- 35:43group of guys sitting drinking. They're
- 35:46like join us for drinks. Yeah. Like
- 35:51let's have a drink together. So
- 35:54it's all all guys and then Niko and then
- 35:56we're talking. Niko I could already see
- 35:58he was like fuming like like he was
- 36:00uncomfortable with the situation. Now
- 36:01when I look back, I see nan as a guy
- 36:03point of view.
- 36:04>> Why?
- 36:04>> It's because it's a lot of guys and then
- 36:06they've been drinking. So maybe
- 36:08>> it could be dangerous, you know, or
- 36:09maybe he's like, "Oh my, if I if I have
- 36:11to fight them, it's me." And then
- 36:12they're like six or something. And then
- 36:14the guy was a bit cranked. So when we
- 36:16were talking, the guy just like laughed
- 36:18and then he he like went like that to me
- 36:20and then gave me a kiss on the cheek.
- 36:21>> What did Nico do?
- 36:23>> He stood up and and I was like super
- 36:25shocked, but I was like, "Okay, like
- 36:27I'll just move to the side and like
- 36:28pretend it didn't happen." Gon. So Nico
- 36:30stood up and left
- 36:32>> and he walked out.
- 36:32>> He walked out and I just remember like
- 36:34going after him like what's wrong just
- 36:36talking. They were just talking to us
- 36:38every and then I was like super crying.
- 36:40This is the first time I super cried and
- 36:41then we were in the hotel room after and
- 36:42I remember like naman sigawan cuz he
- 36:44doesn't Nikico doesn't scream. That was
- 36:47our one fight and then our second fight
- 36:48was I can't remember that 2018. So two
- 36:50fights. Now we don't argue at all. We
- 36:54have our moments in a relationship. It's
- 36:57important to to have those arguments,
- 36:59but I don't feel like screaming is an
- 37:02option. So, Nico and I, we really
- 37:04communicate. We talk a lot. When
- 37:05something is not good, he'll be like,
- 37:07he's like, "Why are you acting this
- 37:08way?" And then I'll sit down. And if I
- 37:09can't, if I'm like, "Nothing." Like, I'm
- 37:11like, "I'm fine." He'll be like, "I'll
- 37:13ask you one more time. If you don't
- 37:14answer, we're not going to go back on
- 37:16this situation again." And I'll be like,
- 37:18"Okay, fine. It's because you did this
- 37:19and you did that." And we and then we
- 37:20talked.
- 37:21>> It's funny how they do it because when
- 37:23you say it, it's very it's a serious
- 37:24moment. But I'm trying to imagine Nico
- 37:26say it. It becomes funny now when he
- 37:27says it.
- 37:28>> But he's very serious. I've always had a
- 37:30hard time expressing myself. I'm not
- 37:32that like if I'm sad, I don't say I'm
- 37:35sad or I don't cry in front of people.
- 37:36I'm usually the type now I go to the
- 37:38toilet, I'll lock myself to get out and
- 37:40then come back out like nothing
- 37:42happened. So I don't like opening up.
- 37:45But what the one thing that Nico did
- 37:46bring out in me in these last years
- 37:48together is that he really like forced
- 37:51and helped me and be able to like
- 37:52express my sentiments and why I'm
- 37:54unhappy. And so yeah, we don't argue and
- 37:57we don't scream at each other.
- 37:58>> That's nice to know.
- 38:00>> So we go to our next game cuz they say
- 38:02emotions are fueled of from the arts,
- 38:05right? Emotions are fueled of the arts.
- 38:06You did several films
- 38:09acting prowess, awardwinning actress.
- 38:14This right here. Oh my gosh. Ladies and
- 38:16gentlemen, this is
- 38:19camera. Okay. Are you ready?
- 38:21>> Okay. What are we doing?
- 38:22>> Okay. We'll be reenacting a famous star
- 38:24cinema movie. Um, The House of Us. Are
- 38:27you familiar with The House of Us?
- 38:28>> I know that. I I know it, but I I
- 38:30haven't seen it. I mean,
- 38:31>> so we'll be switching languages with
- 38:32this game. And for you n man French for
- 38:35myself Italian
- 38:38>> I don't think you speak Italian until
- 38:40now.
- 38:42>> Let's see. I'll be playing the role of
- 38:45Primo and Sen will be George.
- 38:48>> Okay. Okay. Do we have a script for
- 38:50>> Can we watch Can we watch?
- 38:52>> Yeah. Let's watch the clip. Watch this.
- 39:16Okay. Okay. Okay. We're going to call in
- 39:18our assistant Joshua Garcia. Please
- 39:20enter, Josh. Okay. This is Joshua
- 39:22Garcia, ladies and gentlemen. Okay. So,
- 39:25what we're going to do here, obviously,
- 39:26we're not going to stand up. It's like
- 39:27we're just reading sides. We're reading
- 39:29sides. So, you have your script. I have
- 39:30my script. You do French. I do Italian.
- 39:32Okay.
- 39:33>> Okay.
- 39:33>> Okay. This is the the POWER OF YOURSELF.
- 39:35GIVE SOME LOVE, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN.
- 39:39Tagalog translate
- 39:43on the spot. I'm Primo and you're
- 39:45George. Okay. Okay. Joshua, take it
- 39:48away.
- 39:53>> Okay. Okay.
- 40:12George.
- 40:26foreign.
- 40:56Then
- 41:05then all George and then Sen.
- 41:25Huh?
- 41:34Cupcake.
- 42:03Johnny,
- 42:04>> what's
- 42:06like I'm I'm tired of this like
- 42:10I can't.
- 42:11>> All right, that was amazing. Amazing.
- 42:12Let's guys calm down, ladies and
- 42:13gentlemen. We'll be right back with AG
- 42:15Prime Time.
- 42:16Sup everybody. So, we have sexy stickers
- 42:19here prime time stickers QR code and of
- 42:22course it's comes in a sticker pack.
- 42:27Really nice. Really cool. I hope you
- 42:28guys check it out.
- 42:35So please
- 42:43prime time live. See you soon. Very
- 42:45soon. See you guys soon. Mi prime time.
- 42:47Ciao. We're back with the
- 42:52All right, ladies and gentlemen. A
- 42:53question we're going to ask right now.
- 42:55Have you ever felt like people
- 42:57underestimate your art because you're
- 42:59famous? You're the famous it girl. So
- 43:01they look they underestimate you as a uh
- 43:05a artist, a painter.
- 43:06>> Yeah, I don't feel that. Um I think so
- 43:10far I've had pretty good reviews, but
- 43:13even when I have some that are not good
- 43:15with my art. I mean art is subjective,
- 43:17right? So
- 43:18>> what's beautiful to you is probably not
- 43:20beautiful to me or vice versa. So
- 43:22there's no nice art or bad art. It's
- 43:25whatever speaks to the soul.
- 43:27>> So if someone doesn't like my artwork,
- 43:29then it's not meant for them.
- 43:30>> Not for them. But your art is beautiful
- 43:31by the way. If you guys haven't seen it
- 43:32yet or I'm sure you guys see it.
- 43:34>> Actually have an exhibit this month too.
- 43:36>> Is there any specific uh in this
- 43:38collection? What what what's
- 43:40>> um this one is more abstract. So very
- 43:42new style for me.
- 43:44>> Um but I worked more with like feeling
- 43:46and movement. So it's very big large
- 43:48artworks and I'm I use my hands to
- 43:51paint.
- 43:51>> That's amazing. Is it only you? Does
- 43:53your kids help you paint?
- 43:54>> Um sometimes they they do the background
- 43:56like I I use them as paint brushes.
- 43:58>> Amazing. because I remember s back in
- 44:00the day your arts were a lot of Filipino
- 44:02uh faces, people. What was your
- 44:05inspiration then?
- 44:06>> Um well back then cuz I used to shoot a
- 44:08lot out of town and I I would always
- 44:09take photos of my surroundings. So I
- 44:11would paint the people I see.
- 44:13>> But this one on the screen right now
- 44:14this is you
- 44:15>> I was I was five or six there. It's one
- 44:17of the paintings I did when I was
- 44:18younger.
- 44:19>> You still have this?
- 44:20>> No. I think I give it away. I give it
- 44:22away. I'm not the type that I don't like
- 44:23to hoard this.
- 44:24>> I'm sure this painting would be a
- 44:25fortune today.
- 44:26>> Yes. No. I mean, it's a co I copied an
- 44:28artist.
- 44:29>> Okay.
- 44:29>> But it's not an original. I mean, I
- 44:31painted it myself, but I copied an
- 44:32artist. So, um, but yeah. No, I think I
- 44:35gave that one away.
- 44:35>> How many years have you been painting?
- 44:36For many, many years.
- 44:37>> So, I've been exhibiting since 2016.
- 44:39>> Yeah. And, and it's been a complete
- 44:41success.
- 44:42>> So, every two years I have an exhibit
- 44:44>> from the Filipino faces and characters.
- 44:47You shifted into
- 44:49flora and then now abstract.
- 44:51>> Do you really plan this out or is this
- 44:53something that comes out as an artist?
- 44:55Yeah, it just happens with growth, I
- 44:56guess. Cuz even abstract, I was super
- 44:57anti-abstract that day. I'm like, I
- 44:59don't understand it. I feel like anyone
- 45:01can do it. That type of thing. But when
- 45:03you get into the art, the more you study
- 45:05it and the more you paint, the more
- 45:07you're like
- 45:08abstract, like it's very hard. So, I
- 45:10kind of like worked my way in it. And I
- 45:13guess now with, you know, with uh being
- 45:15a little bit older and going through
- 45:16different things in my life, it's it's
- 45:18it's really so much more fun to explore
- 45:22abstract. So you believe like art is
- 45:23really stages of life?
- 45:25>> Yeah, I feel like art you're always
- 45:27learning. There's always something in
- 45:28new to give.
- 45:29>> I mean I want to ask you a question. I
- 45:30mean you're a mom, you're a singer,
- 45:32you're an actress, you're an
- 45:33entrepreneur, you're an artist, painter.
- 45:36I mean how do you find time to to do all
- 45:38of this and you're you do you do paddle?
- 45:40You work out. I mean what's the schedule
- 45:42of a selenus?
- 45:43>> Yeah. Well, actually I'd have to say I'm
- 45:45pretty chill. I just I mean singing I
- 45:47don't do it anymore. So I can take it
- 45:49out of my roster. Acting I'll do it once
- 45:51in a while. Um, so it's not like I'm
- 45:53doing it on a daily basis. So when I'm
- 45:55not working, I'm painting. When I'm not
- 45:58painting, I'm I'm shooting.
- 45:59>> Is there a perfect time to paint?
- 46:00Morning, afternoon, evening?
- 46:01>> I quite like it morning when the kids
- 46:03are in school or late at night when
- 46:05everyone's sleeping
- 46:08studio.
- 46:08>> So that's your alone time?
- 46:09>> Yeah, that's my alone time. So pumas
- 46:11when I'm painting.
- 46:11>> Are you pressured to paint or is it just
- 46:13a passion?
- 46:14>> It's just a passion. I super love doing
- 46:16it and I love that it speaks to people.
- 46:18I love like when people go to my
- 46:19exhibits and they're like, "Oh my god, I
- 46:20love this artwork." because it made me
- 46:23feel these things. It just it's so nice
- 46:25to to be able to touch someone without
- 46:29getting without getting to know them or
- 46:31you knowing their past.
- 46:32>> Amazing. Why did you choose to anchor
- 46:34your life here in the Philippines?
- 46:35>> I mean, I grew up here. So, for me, this
- 46:37is this is where I flourish, where I
- 46:39blossom. Obviously, there's a lot of
- 46:41things in our country that I wish could
- 46:44change. Um, obviously I also lots of
- 46:48things that anger me, but I love the
- 46:50Philippines and I love Filipino people.
- 46:52So I really see myself here.
- 46:54>> Yeah.
- 46:55>> Yeah.
- 46:55>> I mean I asked the same more or less the
- 46:56same question to Irwan. No. And
- 46:58>> you know doing an amazing thing aside
- 47:00from all our guy jokes and all that
- 47:02stuff. I think I admire Irwan and I'm a
- 47:04fan of Irwan. He built his brand all on
- 47:06his own and um he's promoting the
- 47:08Philippines every step of the way with
- 47:09all his feature media etc. And I think,
- 47:12you know, us in the media industry, we
- 47:14have this opportunity to really show the
- 47:16Filipinos or the world about the
- 47:18Philippines and your art is is is
- 47:20amazing. And I think you're doing the
- 47:21same also in the form of art.
- 47:23>> But there's a lot of amazing Filipino
- 47:24artists when you come to the exhibit.
- 47:26It's a mix of artists. You'll see like
- 47:28it's the Filipino people are just so
- 47:30talented.
- 47:30>> Were you intimidated at first to enter
- 47:32the art scene with so many amazing
- 47:33artists and here comes Selenus entering
- 47:36and you gained the respect after so many
- 47:38years.
- 47:38>> Yeah. So my first exhibit, it's my dad
- 47:40who pushed me cuz I had so many
- 47:41paintings at home. He's like, "Why don't
- 47:42you exhibit it?" I'm like, "My I'm not
- 47:44an artist. Like I can't just say, "Hey
- 47:46guys, here's my exhibit."
- 47:47>> But the first one was did so well and
- 47:50then I was it was very wellreceived. So
- 47:52it it motivated me or give me fire to
- 47:55like to like do more and then really
- 47:57find my style.
- 47:58>> How does it feel today that Senus you
- 48:01you're a respected artist today? No, I
- 48:03mean I've I've I've obviously I guess
- 48:05work towards it, but I do just it's
- 48:08always shocking and such a humbling
- 48:12thing that I know that someone bought my
- 48:13artwork, they really like it for what it
- 48:16is.
- 48:16>> You as an artist know when you go to
- 48:18someone's home and you see your piece on
- 48:19the wall.
- 48:20>> Yeah. Super kilig. I'm so kilig. It's
- 48:22the best feeling in the world. Actually,
- 48:24even the one that was in bell, I didn't
- 48:26know it was there and I went to the
- 48:27opening. I'm like, "Oh my god, this is
- 48:29me ganunan." So yeah, it's super super
- 48:31such a nice nice feeling.
- 48:33>> Amazing. You've also been called a
- 48:35model, actress, artist, entrepreneur,
- 48:36wife, and of course mom. Which label
- 48:39feels the most accurate to you today?
- 48:42>> I mean, I guess mom. Like I I I love
- 48:44being a mom. I love seeing these girls
- 48:46transform in front of me and then being
- 48:48part of their journey and helping them
- 48:50evolve as the people they want to
- 48:52become. Uh I think it's the my greatest
- 48:55achievement and it's the best thing
- 48:57that's happened to me. I mean, you were
- 48:58telling me, you know, art is stages of
- 49:00life, and today you're in that, you said
- 49:01you're in that mom stage. Yeah. What's
- 49:03the future like for So,
- 49:05>> good question. I want to focus more on
- 49:07my art, definitely, but I I really want
- 49:09to get back into film.
- 49:11>> Um, yeah, I really want to do like indie
- 49:14films. I want to do horror. I want to do
- 49:16a thriller. Not telear. It's not my
- 49:20butt. You were doing such a important
- 49:24role to me and it really I feel is one
- 49:26of the roles I'm most recognized for
- 49:28back then. So par it was just too
- 49:31important and I was like I can't let
- 49:32anyone else be kashupa. So when they
- 49:34asked me I was like yes yes yes.
- 49:37>> Are we going to see a husaf on the big
- 49:40screen this year or next year?
- 49:41>> I don't know yet. Wapa for now walapa.
- 49:43If if if yes, who would you want to be
- 49:47partnered with and what kind of film
- 49:48would you want this to be?
- 49:49>> Oh, so I want something like Gone Girl.
- 49:52>> Gone Girl.
- 49:52>> Yeah, Gone Girl. Uh, who would my
- 49:55partner be? Honestly, want to do like a
- 49:57mixed thing. I feel like nowadays with
- 49:59social media, you can have like Thai
- 50:00actors and Chinese and Korean and
- 50:02Filipino. Like, I wanted to be like a a
- 50:04kind of like a melting pot of actors.
- 50:06There's not one specific Filipino actor
- 50:10I want to work with. If there would be
- 50:11one leading man you'd want to work with
- 50:13for this next film, who would that be?
- 50:16>> I don't think you can be bad though
- 50:20your face.
- 50:24>> I don't know. I think I I don't really
- 50:27have of course my fear is for for them
- 50:29to not be treated right later on in the
- 50:31future, not finding a good partner. But
- 50:34my mom also let me be kind of like do my
- 50:37own thing, make my own mistakes. fear
- 50:40for me I think if if not it'll just be
- 50:43like fear like how every parent is
- 50:44worried for their child you know you
- 50:46don't want accidents you don't want just
- 50:48them to get into bad vices and stuff
- 50:50like that but aside from that for now
- 50:53>> but I think you're really empowering
- 50:54them to be very strong
- 50:57>> especially with Nico also Nico is really
- 50:59>> amazing amazing you're you're really a
- 51:00role model and to us to Sarah and I'm
- 51:03sure to many other people so as a mom do
- 51:06you feel more pressure now to live up to
- 51:08certain labels like a perfect mom or a
- 51:11perfect role model or Senusaf is there
- 51:14pressure to uphold that image? No, I
- 51:17feel like I mean as you age and then
- 51:18also entering the 40s, you worry less
- 51:21about keeping the youth, but your focus
- 51:24is more on like perspective and like how
- 51:27you view life and like prioritizing
- 51:31like what's important like sleep, family
- 51:33time, good relationships, deleting
- 51:35people that don't really add plus value
- 51:39to to your life or your lifestyle.
- 51:41>> So, you've deleted people? Yeah, I mean
- 51:43I can maybe count my friends in like my
- 51:46two hands. I I don't have a million
- 51:47friends. Yeah, I don't I know many
- 51:49people, but I I've connected really with
- 51:51a good amount of people that I feel like
- 51:54I don't need more people in my life.
- 51:56>> Yeah, that's really nice. You know,
- 51:57because when we're young, we want to uh
- 51:59you know, make everybody love us, like
- 52:01us, etc. We're friends with all. And the
- 52:03older we're getting, you know, like what
- 52:04do you
- 52:05>> It's tiring because it's stressful. You
- 52:06don't need to have a million
- 52:07relationships. You just need a few good
- 52:09ones and happy life.
- 52:11>> That's very true. trying to digest that
- 52:13because that's very very important and
- 52:15that's not very easy to do.
- 52:16>> Yeah, it's not easy. That's why it takes
- 52:18time. Like in my 20s, oh my gosh, I'm
- 52:19friends with the world. Every morning I
- 52:21wake up messages and I'll wake up
- 52:23there's two WhatsApp messages or you're
- 52:26happy with that? I'm good. I'm not like
- 52:30I mean I'd like to believe that you have
- 52:32no bashers.
- 52:33>> No, I have bashers.
- 52:34>> So how do you handle bashers?
- 52:35>> I don't know you. So whatever.
- 52:37>> So you're that your confidence or
- 52:38whatever?
- 52:38>> Yeah. Yeah, I'm good. I mean, at the end
- 52:40of the day, bashers want you to reply.
- 52:42>> Yeah.
- 52:42>> So, if you don't reply, they'll move on
- 52:44to the next victim lang. But for me,
- 52:46it's okay. You don't know me. You don't
- 52:47know what I do in my life. Um, if you're
- 52:49not happy with me, then just don't
- 52:50follow me. Gan
- 52:51>> confidence. Okay.
- 52:52>> Did you build I'm sure you built that
- 52:54confidence.
- 52:55>> Yeah. There were days back then where
- 52:56I'd read things and I'll be like, you
- 52:58you really feel bad. And I get how it
- 52:59can get to you.
- 53:00>> Yeah.
- 53:00>> Like when when people are saying bad
- 53:02things about you, it's never a nice
- 53:04feeling whether they're relevant or
- 53:05irrelevant. But you just have to learn
- 53:07how to just like segment it and then
- 53:09know that that's that's the generation
- 53:12nowadays. That's how it is. So you have
- 53:13online bashers, you have haters, you
- 53:15have trolls. Okay. And then you live on.
- 53:17>> This conversation could go go on and on
- 53:18and on. Thank you very much, Salen, but
- 53:20I appreciate your time. I appreciate you
- 53:22and Nico and your friendship. You are
- 53:24inspiration to me, to my wife, and to
- 53:26many other people. So thank you very
- 53:28much for being a friend. And we
- 53:30appreciate you guys. Give some love to
- 53:34>> Thank you very much.
- 53:35>> Thank you.
- 53:38actually super fun. Um, I'm amazed with
- 53:40the production. It's a very big
- 53:41production and a very big team, but it's
- 53:43always fun to to hang with Mateo cuz
- 53:46we're friends, so it's easy to to just
- 53:47like banter and and talk to each other
- 53:49and not be shy and everything. And you
