  1. 0:00I hear you learn these frameworks and
  2. 0:02I'm like, man, that is crazy that he is
  3. 0:04memorizing this stuff, but not just
  4. 0:06memorizing it, but he when I hear him
  5. 0:08talk about it, I believe that he
  6. 0:09actually uses this in in his day-to-day
  7. 0:11life. And uh I I would like to get
  8. 0:15better at that. I'm just amazed at how
  9. 0:16much information you retain.
  10. 0:18>> Thanks. I think that if you are not good
  11. 0:21at predicting what is going to happen
  12. 0:22next, life will be hard for you. And the
  13. 0:25better you get at predicting what's
  14. 0:26going to happen next, the more you will
  15. 0:28get what you want.
  16. 0:29And so then being able to predict what's
  17. 0:31going to happen requires
  18. 0:34a an accurate framework of how reality
  19. 0:37works. And I think that that's where you
  20. 0:40know, if you've lost everything that you
  21. 0:41can rebuild it again, it's because you
  22. 0:43accurately review view reality and it
  23. 0:45wasn't luck. You can redo it again. And
  24. 0:47so for me, I think a big part of it was
  25. 0:50like or still is
  26. 0:52I find like the most people don't know
  27. 0:54what they're saying most of the time.
  28. 0:56Like the vast majority of people spend
  29. 0:58their time regurgitating and
  30. 1:00re-parroting things that they never
  31. 1:02thought about and saying words that they
  32. 1:04don't understand. Because if you ask
  33. 1:06someone when they say, "Hey, I think you
  34. 1:07should do this." I would just say like,
  35. 1:09"Define that." Or like, "Hey, my goal is
  36. 1:11I want to
  37. 1:13insert thing. Like I want to feel great
  38. 1:14about myself." I'd be like, "Well, what
  39. 1:15does that mean?"
  40. 1:17And then they can't define it. I'm like,
  41. 1:18"Well, no [ __ ] you haven't hit it. You
  42. 1:19can't even define what you're going for,
  43. 1:20right?" And so I think that the single
  44. 1:24greatest razor that I have for defining
  45. 1:27reality more accurately has been
  46. 1:29removing all sentiment, emotion, and
  47. 1:34quote psychology from the equation and
  48. 1:37only looking at it from a behaviorist
  49. 1:39frame of what can I observe. And just
  50. 1:42say like, and so basically like if you
  51. 1:44were to if you were to, you know, alien
  52. 1:46comes on Earth or a toddler depending on
  53. 1:48how you want to see it and say like,
  54. 1:49"Hey, you know, what does trust mean?"
  55. 1:51Right? Like, "Hey, you're not very
  56. 1:53trustworthy." I'd be like, "Well, what
  57. 1:54does that mean to you?" Right? And most
  58. 1:56times people will just say like a bunch
  59. 1:57of nonsense back to you and it's like
  60. 1:59well of course you don't know like and
  61. 2:01so I find that that's most people and
  62. 2:02that's why they can't they can't
  63. 2:03communicate well and as a result they
  64. 2:05don't receive communication well from
  65. 2:07the world because they don't like it's
  66. 2:08two people saying words that neither of
  67. 2:10them understand and then they're and
  68. 2:11then they just roll the dice to see if
  69. 2:12they get what they want and that's how
  70. 2:13most people live their lives which is
  71. 2:14why they don't get what they want cuz
  72. 2:15they haven't defined what they want.
  73. 2:17Like the beginning of every one of my
  74. 2:18books defines terms. The beginning of
  75. 2:20every legal document there's a
  76. 2:21recitation of definitions. And it's like
  77. 2:23you need that in order precise about
  78. 2:25what you want.
  79. 2:26>> What's that mean? So like defining what
  80. 2:27a win would look like? What does success
  81. 2:29look like? What does a fail look like?
  82. 2:31>> Well that's that there's like the the I
  83. 2:32would say like the big obvious ones. But
  84. 2:34underneath of that is like the
  85. 2:35day-to-day life that you have. It's like
  86. 2:37you ask your wife it's like I'd like you
  87. 2:38to be more loving towards me. It's like
  88. 2:40well what does that mean?
  89. 2:41Like for real. Like what is what is you
  90. 2:43saying the word I need you to love me
  91. 2:45better mean?
  92. 2:47Does that mean hey when I walk in the
  93. 2:50door can you come and give me a hug?
  94. 2:52That's observable. I can see that. A
  95. 2:53court witness can say he came in and did
  96. 2:55that, right? And so but like again this
  97. 2:58is like getting as granular as
  98. 3:00everything if we just bring everything
  99. 3:01down to what is observable in reality
  100. 3:03that we can all get to agreement. That's
  101. 3:05where like I think the concept that I
  102. 3:06have somehow seems both the same and
  103. 3:09different from the stuff that's out
  104. 3:10there. They're like man I listened to
  105. 3:12your marketing stuff and like he says
  106. 3:13things that I know but I he he says it
  107. 3:15in a different way and it's like well
  108. 3:16it's because I just think about like
  109. 3:17okay well what is selling, right? And
  110. 3:20then a lot of people are like it's a
  111. 3:21transference of feeling between two
  112. 3:23parties, you know, over a bridge of
  113. 3:25trust, right? And I would say something
  114. 3:27like that 15 years ago and I would yell
  115. 3:29at it a salesman be like dude sales is
  116. 3:31just a transference of belief over a
  117. 3:33bridge of trust. It's like that sounds
  118. 3:35amazing. There's nice visuals. It's like
  119. 3:37but what the [ __ ] does that mean?
  120. 3:40Like how do I go transfer belief over a
  121. 3:42bridge of trust? I'm like go transfer
  122. 3:43belief over a bridge of trust. They're
  123. 3:44like I don't know how to do that. It's
  124. 3:45like of
  125. 3:45>> [laughter]
  126. 3:46>> course you don't.
  127. 3:47Of course you don't.
  128. 3:48I don't either. Right? What is the
  129. 3:51bridge? I need a I need a [ __ ]
  130. 3:52bridge. Who's got a bridge? And how do I
  131. 3:54give them this belief, right? [laughter]
  132. 3:56And so
  133. 3:58And so it's natural to use it's to use
  134. 4:00shorthand with language because it's
  135. 4:02faster to transfer ideas except neither
  136. 4:04party define the term. And that's where
  137. 4:06a lot of quote miscommunications come
  138. 4:08from. And so I think to be an accurate
  139. 4:09communicator it's like we have to define
  140. 4:11terms before we can actually engage in
  141. 4:12this conversation, which is annoying for
  142. 4:14some people, but it's also required if
  143. 4:16you want to have like effective
  144. 4:17communication. And so for that whole
  145. 4:19like salesperson thing it's like well
  146. 4:21what is selling? It's increasing the
  147. 4:22likelihood that someone makes a
  148. 4:23purchasing decision. Done. That's all it
  149. 4:24is. We just increase the likelihood. And
  150. 4:26so that is your job is to increase the
  151. 4:27likelihood to make a purchasing
  152. 4:28decision. And we know that there's a
  153. 4:29number of variables that that affect
  154. 4:31that that that percentage. And that's
  155. 4:32what the ones that that we can affect
  156. 4:33that we can observe. And I think if we
  157. 4:35just leave it there then we get all of
  158. 4:36this hullabaloo and all of the the
  159. 4:38manifestation and the synchronicities
  160. 4:40and the and the energy and the you know,
  161. 4:41all of this this crap out of there. And
  162. 4:44maybe that stuff's true, but I can't see
  163. 4:45it. So and so how do I transfer it? I
  164. 4:47don't know. And so I just talk about the
  165. 4:49observable world and it's made my life
  166. 4:52so much better and my ability to predict
  167. 4:54what's going to happen next so much
  168. 4:56better. I can't give you every single
  169. 4:57recipe that would be ridiculous. It
  170. 4:58would be like this [music] long. But
  171. 5:00these are the top five recipes that we
  172. 5:01have used to scale that Leila actually
  173. 5:03put together for us cuz she's really
  174. 5:05been the one who operates the business.
  175. 5:06>> [music]
  176. 5:06>> And so yeah, I don't know what's inside
  177. 5:08of it, but um it's good. So you should
  178. 5:10check it out cuz Leila made [music] it
  179. 5:11and she makes good stuff. It's free.
