2. 0:03my name is Stephanie and I've been
3. 0:04attending Christ Community Church for
4. 0:06just under seven years you don't need to
5. 0:09be an expert or a teacher to volunteer
6. 0:12and I think a lot of people might feel
7. 0:13that way you don't even need to be I
8. 0:15think an expert in the Bible and know
9. 0:17every single story you need to love
10. 0:19Jesus and want to be here and the rest
11. 0:21just kind of falls into place I I'm
12. 0:24Danny I've been at Christ Community for
13. 0:26about 5 years I'm a small groups leader
14. 0:30in Epic we mostly take whatever the the
15. 0:32passage is and teach the children about
16. 0:35that passage and actually help get them
17. 0:38comfortable with the passage and with
18. 0:39talking amongst each other and seeing
19. 0:41how you know different aspects of life
20. 0:44can be challenging and help grow and
21. 0:46using everything God teaches you in
22. 0:49those moments I actually started serving
23. 0:51in kids world first and that happened
24. 0:54because I my daughter when she was
25. 0:57somewhere under a year she started
26. 1:00coming to Kids World and so I in passing
27. 1:03was like Hey I'm a teacher and if you
28. 1:05ever need some help let me know but it
29. 1:07was kind of one of those offerings where
30. 1:09you're like nobody's going to ask and I
31. 1:12got a phone call one day and so I talked
32. 1:15to Liz and just went through the process
33. 1:18and what that would look like and I just
34. 1:20started serving cuz I felt like moved to
35. 1:23give back since my daughter was in Kids
36. 1:25World sharing God's word uh
37. 1:28amongst children is is a precious gift
38. 1:32you'll see the joy that comes out of it
39. 1:34and and and experience it being there
40. 1:36and watching children light up and
41. 1:39understand God's word I think that's
42. 1:41such a reward that you'd want to be a
43. 1:43part of that worship is really amazing
44. 1:45it's really neat you see kids putting
45. 1:47their hands up in worship and they
46. 1:48really are into it I mean their eyes are
47. 1:50closed and you could tell that they're
48. 1:52just feeling it in that moment you see
49. 1:54adults and kids connecting and laughing
50. 1:56I think which is really neat and then
51. 1:57during small group having conversations
52. 1:59about Jes and what they learned their
53. 2:01ideas are so impressive and so sometimes
54. 2:04when I ask a question I'm like gosh I
55. 2:06don't know how I would answer this and
56. 2:07then just hearing what they have to say
57. 2:08I'm like blown away I'm and it's like a
58. 2:11genuine I'm like wow you really you came
59. 2:13up with that it's
60. 2:15incredible watching children grow and
61. 2:18sharing God's word I think that's the
62. 2:20most rewarding knowing that you had a
63. 2:22part in that and that you know I answer
64. 2:24to God and and to be able to share his
65. 2:27word amongst children and and watch them
66. 2:29grow I think it's that's the most
67. 2:32rewarding for me the most rewarding
68. 2:34thing in addition to being with the kids
69. 2:37um and to know that I'm part of their
70. 2:39growth and or helping them with their
71. 2:42their walk in faith it's the
72. 2:44relationships and feeling like I'm part
73. 2:46of a community this is a really big
74. 2:48church it's easy to feel insignificant
75. 2:50but to walk in here on Sundays and on
76. 2:52Wednesdays and to just know people and
77. 2:54know that I have a family here I think
78. 2:58is the most rewarding thing for me
79. 3:00I serve an epic because I'm serving God
80. 3:04it's a privilege to be here for God and
81. 3:07help shape them for life I think that's
82. 3:10what keeps me coming back if you've got
83. 3:13any reservations or any questions talk
84. 3:15to somebody talk to somebody else who's
85. 3:17serving talk to Liz um because chances
86. 3:20are those reservations that you have
87. 3:22they're not as big a deal as you think
88. 3:24they are talk to somebody who's been
89. 3:25doing it and just ask questions because
90. 3:28at the end of the day there's always
91. 3:30some sort of answer or resolution to
92. 3:32whatever it is that's holding you
93. 3:34back just do it you won't regret it
