2. 0:01of the largest YouTube channels in the
3. 0:03world with currently over 130 million
4. 0:06subscribers but what you probably didn't
5. 0:08know is that he initially began his
6. 0:10YouTube Journey with aspirations of
7. 0:12using his platform to spread the gospel
8. 0:14message found in the Bible his beliefs
9. 0:17can be traced back to before his YouTube
10. 0:18channel began Jimmy Donaldson now known
11. 0:21as Mr Beast describes himself as having
12. 0:23an obsessive personality with his first
13. 0:25Obsession being found in baseball
14. 0:27wanting to be a professional baseball
15. 0:29player I have a very obsessive
16. 0:31personality when I like something it
17. 0:32just consumed my life but his dreams of
18. 0:34becoming a professional baseball player
19. 0:36came to an end when he was diagnosed
20. 0:38with crohn's disease at the age of 15.
21. 0:40basically your intestines are inflamed
22. 0:42and because it's so inflamed it's like
23. 0:44someone's just dragging Like a Knife
24. 0:47across your stomach so it's super
25. 0:48painful due to the physical toll that
26. 0:50the disease was taken on his body he was
27. 0:52forced to abandon his dreams of becoming
28. 0:54a baseball player and decided to go all
29. 0:56in on a different Obsession YouTube I
30. 0:59probably would have tried to play
31. 1:00baseball in college but because of
32. 1:02Crohn's it definitely changed the
33. 1:04trajectory and I was like all right I'm
34. 1:06done with that and then I just went all
35. 1:08in on YouTube and I was beyond obsessed
36. 1:10Jimmy started his YouTube channel around
37. 1:12the same time he started attending
38. 1:13Greenville Christian Academy which is a
39. 1:16private Christian High School Jimmy's
40. 1:17passion for reaching the loss with the
41. 1:19gospel message was something that could
42. 1:20be seen since the Inception of his
43. 1:22YouTube channel in 2013. over the first
44. 1:25several years of his YouTube channel Mr
45. 1:27Beast seemed to be extremely active in
46. 1:29promoting his faith this was evidenced
47. 1:31by a video that he posted in November of
48. 1:322015 called the evolution of my YouTube
49. 1:35banners this video displayed all of the
50. 1:38different banners that he had for his
51. 1:39YouTube channel since he created it and
52. 1:41you can quickly notice that almost all
53. 1:43of them were Christian inspired most of
54. 1:45them showed a cross or a Bible verse or
55. 1:47even had quotes of him saying that he
56. 1:49isn't ashamed of the gospel of Christ it
57. 1:52didn't take long for his subscribers to
58. 1:53acknowledge the boldness that he had in
59. 1:55declaring his faith I really love that
60. 1:57you are not ashamed of showing people
61. 1:58that you are a follower of Christ I
62. 2:00really love how almost all of them have
63. 2:02Bible verses which is really cool
64. 2:04because it's hard to find a good
65. 2:05YouTuber that is a Christian and has
66. 2:07great content keep up the good work keep
67. 2:09uploading you're an inspiration to so
68. 2:12many people and proving that he's still
69. 2:14identified with being a Christian he
70. 2:15replied with thank you for watching me
71. 2:17and I will always show my faith somehow
72. 2:20on this channel I am glad people like it
73. 2:22in other comments Mr Beast continued to
74. 2:24display his passion for reaching
75. 2:25non-believers with the message of the
76. 2:27Gospel as well and in the year following
77. 2:29this video it seemed that he was still
78. 2:30vocal about his faith as he would
79. 2:32mention his faith during his uploads
80. 2:34when I was around in 2016 watching his
81. 2:36Minecraft cringe intros I do recall him
82. 2:38being fairly open about his faith in
83. 2:40Christianity I forgot the video as it
84. 2:42happened so long ago but I do faintly
85. 2:44remember him stating that he was a
86. 2:46Christian now at this point it seemed
87. 2:48that Mr BEAST's dream was coming true he
88. 2:50was now at 11 000 subscribers and was
89. 2:52able to reach 11 000 people with the
90. 2:55message of the Gospel however the more
91. 2:57that his shallow Guru and subscribers
92. 2:58the less he can continue to share his
93. 3:01faith prompting his fans to wonder if he
94. 3:03was still a Christian at all
95. 3:07but as the years went on and without
96. 3:09another single mention of his Christian
97. 3:11faith in March of 2019 the Curiosity was
98. 3:14punt's arrest during his interview on
99. 3:16Logan Paul's podcast and before we get
100. 3:18to what happened next we have to take a

154. 5:13history and promoting Christianity on
155. 5:15his YouTube channel he was also asked
156. 5:16about his beliefs on the flagrant
157. 5:18podcast in 2022. is it true that your
158. 5:21old YouTube Banner used to be like a
159. 5:22Bible verse it did I used to go to a
160. 5:24Christian School back in the day oh yeah
161. 5:25but now it's like it's it's kind of hard
162. 5:27to tell what's right or what's wrong
163. 5:29like religion wise there's so many and I
164. 5:31don't know I believe there is some kind
165. 5:33of God but how do you know but no longer
166. 5:35believe in Christianity left Mr Beast
167. 5:37without the insurance that there was
168. 5:39indeed life after death he now had a
169. 5:41deep-seated fear of dying that his new
170. 5:43beliefs seem to be incapable of helping
171. 5:45to resolve you're afraid of death by the
172. 5:47way yes I I it's hard because like what
173. 5:52if you just die and then you just see
174. 5:54nothing forever you know yeah the
175. 5:55nothingness it just Fades the Blackness
176. 5:57and you're just like that for trillions
177. 5:58upon trillions to billion Square years
178. 6:01and it's just it's scary but also before
179. 6:04you're born you don't remember those
180. 6:05what x amount of years either that gives
181. 6:07me a little Comfort but you know it's
182. 6:09definitely very scary something I'd
183. 6:11rather not think about until I'm like
184. 6:1280. I'll deal with that problem then now
185. 6:14the case of Mr Beast is an interesting
186. 6:16one because he's an agnostic who sees
187. 6:18evidence that God created the world but
188. 6:20doesn't know if there's any good reason
189. 6:22to believe in life after death or not
190. 6:24and I can relate to this because at one
191. 6:26point I too found myself convinced in
192. 6:28God's existence but didn't know if God
193. 6:31was revealed in any particular religion
194. 6:33or not but as I studied the beliefs of
195. 6:35the major world religions one thing that
196. 6:37I found that separated Christianity from
197. 6:39all of these other belief systems was
198. 6:41the fact that the central event of
199. 6:42Christianity was based on evidence and
200. 6:45luckily for Mr Beast this evidence
201. 6:46directly relates to life after death
202. 6:48This Is Why when several of the first
203. 6:51Christians were about to be executed by
204. 6:53the Romans for their faith they would
205. 6:54sing songs and even laugh in the face of
206. 6:57the Romans because they were that
207. 6:59certain that they would live again after
208. 7:00death the reason why they were so
209. 7:02certain was because Christ said that
210. 7:04Believers would one day be resurrected
211. 7:06from the dead and he proved it by being
212. 7:08the first of us to resurrect from the
213. 7:09dead now you're probably thinking well
214. 7:11so what the first Christians believed
215. 7:13that they would live again and were
216. 7:15willing to die for it just like people
217. 7:16and every other faith today but the
218. 7:19difference here is that these first
219. 7:20Christians were in the unique position
220. 7:21to know if Christ was really resurrected
221. 7:24from the dead or not there weren't
222. 7:25thousands of years removed from the the
223. 7:27location and the event as we are today
224. 7:29they were in the same time and in the
225. 7:31same place to know whether or not Christ
226. 7:33resurrected from the dead which is
227. 7:34something that the historical evidence
228. 7:36also shows historical Scholars no matter
229. 7:38their religious beliefs believe that
230. 7:40there's a series of historical facts
231. 7:42that surround the resurrection of Jesus
232. 7:44two of them that are relevant here is
233. 7:46that Jesus died by crucifixion under
234. 7:48Pontius Pilate and the other is that the
235. 7:50early Christians genuinely believe that
236. 7:52they saw Christ alive again after death
237. 7:54and they also claimed they had spent
238. 7:56several days with them after his death
239. 7:58the Bible says that 500 people saw him
240. 8:00in one single instance which makes sense
241. 8:03as to why Christianity exploded into
242. 8:05existence overnight in a culture that
243. 8:07had every predisposition to reject the
244. 8:09possibility of him resurrecting as a
245. 8:12non-Christian historian Paula
246. 8:13Fredrickson puts it I know that in their
247. 8:15own terms what they saw was the race
248. 8:17Jesus that's what they say and then all
249. 8:19the historical evidence we have
250. 8:20afterward attest to their conviction
251. 8:22that that's what they saw I'm not saying
252. 8:24that they really did see the race Jesus
253. 8:26I wasn't there there I don't know what
254. 8:28they saw but I do know that as a
255. 8:30historian I know that they must have
256. 8:32seen something so here's the thing Mr
257. 8:34Beast believes in a God who performed
258. 8:36the greatest Miracle of all creating the
259. 8:38entire universe and so the only reason
260. 8:40to reject God as a possible explanation
261. 8:43for Jesus being raised from the dead
262. 8:44would be if he rejected the existence of
263. 8:46God but the fact that Mr Beast already
264. 8:48believes that God exists and also that
265. 8:50he performed the great miracle of
266. 8:52creation that should enable him to look
267. 8:54at the evidence for the resurrection
268. 8:55with an open mind seeking the most
269. 8:57plausible explanation of the current
270. 8:59facts that we have surrounding it if he
271. 9:01does this I believe that his anxiety
272. 9:03over death can be relieved and not by
273. 9:06suspending reason or logic or evidence
274. 9:08but instead by looking deeper into the
275. 9:11evidence and approaching it with a
276. 9:12reasonable degree of reason and logic
277. 9:14Christianity doesn't command people to
278. 9:16abandon rationality and just believe
279. 9:18that it's true because people say that
280. 9:20it's true in fact it says that if Christ
281. 9:22didn't really resurrect from the dead
282. 9:24then is not true and our faith is in
283. 9:26vain so to Mr Beast and those like him I
284. 9:29would encourage you not to believe that
285. 9:31Christianity is true in spite of the
286. 9:33evidence but instead I would encourage
287. 9:35you to believe in it because of the
288. 9:37evidence and by the way this video is
