4. 0:04it's Monday March 20th and we're
5. 0:06counting down the days to the official
6. 0:07reveal on March 29th of the Samsung
7. 0:10Galaxy S8 and S8 plus probably the most
8. 0:13leaked about cell phone since well ever
9. 0:16but less is known about Bixby the
10. 0:18digital AI assistant that Samsung will
11. 0:20introduce and they say will be an
12. 0:22integral part of the S8 experience it's
13. 0:24a feature so crucial and different bixe
14. 0:27will have its own dedicated button on
15. 0:29the phone digital assistants are nothing
16. 0:31new to smartphones we already have Siri
17. 0:34Cortana and others but Samsung's Bixby
18. 0:36is going in a New Direction which of
19. 0:38course Samsung hopes will differentiate
20. 0:40it from what is suddenly becoming a
21. 0:42crowded Market of high-end phones with
22. 0:44AI helpers inside DT editorinchief
23. 0:46Jeremy Kaplan flew to digital city in
24. 0:49South Korea to talk with Ang Jong re the
25. 0:51head of R&D at Samsung Mobile about what
26. 0:54makes Bixby so different for one thing
27. 0:56Bixby isn't going to work like Siri or
28. 0:58Cortana instead of getting weather
29. 1:00reports or telling bad jokes Bix Fe will
30. 1:02instead be focused on helping you use
31. 1:05the Galaxy S8 because let's face it
32. 1:07smartphones are so complex now we
33. 1:10typically only use a fraction of their
34. 1:12vast capabilities however like Siri and
35. 1:14Cortana Bixby will be driven by spoken
36. 1:17language a still challenging
37. 1:18technological feat that is proving
38. 1:20incredibly tough to master check out

49. 1:45big thing and he and his Apple team are
50. 1:47hard at work on various projects with ar
51. 1:49at the core and that includes the next
52. 1:51iPhone cook tells Bloomberg he thinks
53. 1:54smartphones and not fancy headsets or
54. 1:56glasses are the better vehicle for
55. 1:58easing consumers into using AR and we
56. 2:00can't say we disagree just think of how
57. 2:02Pokémon go an AR game shook the tech
58. 2:05industry and Society to some degree last
59. 2:07year and not a single headset was
60. 2:09involved apple is devoting a lot of
61. 2:11smart people designers and corporate
62. 2:12resources to their AR projects so hit
