2. 0:01We're living through an epidemic
3. 0:04anti-semitism,
4. 0:05some of which is camouflaged lightly as
5. 0:07anti-ionism or anti-Israelism. Epidemic
6. 0:10anti-semitism and epidemic anti-semitism
7. 0:14denial because people have it in their
8. 0:17minds that anti-semitism wears jack
9. 0:19boots. And we got rid of that, didn't
10. 0:22we? And so that's why we are where we
11. 0:25are. And I would say one final thing.
12. 0:27People think anti-semitism is about the
13. 0:29Jews.
14. 0:31It is and it's much more than that
15. 0:34because the signature
16. 0:37thing about anti-semitism which
17. 0:38distinguishes it from all other
18. 0:40bigotries
19. 0:42is that it is a form of derangement. It
20. 0:46is mad. It is paranoid. It is unhinged.
21. 0:51It is obsessional. It is simply
22. 0:53deranged. Now a society which allows
23. 0:57itself to become deranged over
24. 1:01one issue is a society which has lost
25. 1:04the plot when it comes to rationality
26. 1:08evidence
27. 1:09in general and that's what it's no
28. 1:12coincidence we've been talking about the
29. 1:14loss of reason in the west the fact that
30. 1:18evidence goes nowhere insults been has
31. 1:22has largely replaced argument
32. 1:24Um people believe in irrational things,
33. 1:27they believe in conspiratorial things.
34. 1:29And here you have epidemic
35. 1:31anti-semitism. It is not a coincidence.
36. 1:36It is often said, you know, uh
37. 1:38anti-semitism or it is often said the
38. 1:40Jews are the canary in the mine. But
39. 1:42anti-semitism where anti-semitism is is
40. 1:44out of control, the society is has got a
41. 1:47death wish. Society is destroying
42. 1:49itself. Anti-semitis anti-semitism has
43. 1:53always been present. Always will be
44. 1:54present. But in a society which is
45. 1:57healthy, it's kept right under the rug.
46. 2:01It's kept under control. It's regarded
47. 2:03with derision and disdain. It's
48. 2:06stigmatized. It's kept down.
49. 2:09That's a healthy society. That's a
50. 2:10society that wants to live. A society
51. 2:13which has turned on itself, which has
52. 2:15turned against reason itself, which has
53. 2:18turned against decency, is a society
54. 2:21where anti-semitism roars out unchecked.
55. 2:26And that's what we have. And that's one
56. 2:29of the most one of the single most
57. 2:31alarming things I think about western
58. 2:33society at the moment that the
59. 2:35anti-semitism that is being that is
60. 2:38engulfing these societies doesn't isn't
61. 2:41just in itself despicable and awful and
62. 2:44dangerous and horrible. It's
63. 2:49a signal that this society is going over
64. 2:53the cliff. Uh it's destroying itself. Um
65. 2:57and until and unless that is understood
66. 3:00um neither anti-semitism nor going over
67. 3:03the cliff are going to be stopped.
