  1. 0:00There's always been racism in it. That's
  2. 0:02it's mainly what it is, you know,
  3. 0:05because if if you really cared about
  4. 0:07people coming over the right way, the
  5. 0:09legal way, then you would make the right
  6. 0:11way and the legal way clear, and you
  7. 0:13wouldn't kidnap people at their green
  8. 0:15card interviews, and you you wouldn't
  9. 0:17have like mass people picking people up
  10. 0:20after baseball practice. Okay? If if
  11. 0:23that's what you cared about. And you
  12. 0:25also, you know, you've structured this
  13. 0:28thing to make these people seem like
  14. 0:32monsters. That's been the plan this
  15. 0:34entire time. Because if somebody is a
  16. 0:36monster,
  17. 0:37it is it is part of the human condition
  18. 0:40and a flaw that we have, as long as we
  19. 0:42see somebody as a monster, whether they
  20. 0:44are or not, we don't really care what
  21. 0:47happens to them. You know, it's it's why
  22. 0:50they can make conditions in prison so
  23. 0:53bad because the assumption is, well,
  24. 0:55everybody that's there deserves to be
  25. 0:56there, so screw them, right? If they
  26. 0:59don't have a clean water or if they
  27. 1:01can't shower or if their food's
  28. 1:02contaminated, good. Because they did
  29. 1:05something bad to earn that place, right?
  30. 1:08And it helps you strip the basic
  31. 1:10humanity of looking at another person,
  32. 1:12whether they've made a mistake or not,
  33. 1:14or looking at another person, whether
  34. 1:16from a different country or not. And if
  35. 1:17you get really good at stripping that
  36. 1:20humanity away, you can do whatever you
  37. 1:22want. And then you start to be able to
  38. 1:23do whatever you want to anybody that you
  39. 1:26want. And that's what's been creeping up
  40. 1:27this entire time. What started as like,
  41. 1:30guys, they're eating the dogs.
  42. 1:33Remember, remember they're eating the
  43. 1:35dogs. They're eating the cats. Nobody's
  44. 1:37pets are safe. It was getting so dumb.
  45. 1:39It was past like these are criminals and
  46. 1:42they're killing us and they're coming
  47. 1:43over here to do terrible things. And
  48. 1:45then it started to morph a little bit
  49. 1:46more. Okay, look, I know that they're
  50. 1:49going through the proper channels and
  51. 1:50everything, but they have a misdemeanor
  52. 1:52in another country. Do we really want
  53. 1:54somebody like that to become a citizen,
  54. 1:56maybe we should deport them now? No, I
  55. 1:58understand that they have their green
  56. 1:59card, but they also, I don't know, they
  57. 2:02have this weird past I don't like, or
  58. 2:04they wrote an op-ed I didn't like, or
  59. 2:05they said a thing that I didn't like.
  60. 2:07So, do we really want someone like that
  61. 2:08in our country? I know that they are
  62. 2:10fully naturalized citizen, but the way
  63. 2:12that they became a citizen is a little
  64. 2:14bit under suspect cuz I said so just
  65. 2:16now. So maybe we'll deport them. And now
  66. 2:18we're all the way to the point that
  67. 2:20American citizens that I do not like can
  68. 2:23be gone.
  69. 2:25And so you see when you let somebody's
  70. 2:28humanity get stripped away over and over
  71. 2:30and over again and it's in the back of
  72. 2:32your head and you even go with the lie.
  73. 2:34Ah, they probably did something or maybe
  74. 2:36they shouldn't have done that thing or
  75. 2:38maybe maybe they have a good reason.
  76. 2:40When you do that enough and it finally
  77. 2:42comes for you, don't be surprised.
