1. 0:00At what point should individuals enjoy
2. 0:03the fruits of their labor and live the
3. 0:05life they worked so hard to get to?
4. 0:13So, what you ask is a personal question
5. 0:15about risk.
6. 0:16Which is
7. 0:18at what point is it correct to consume?
8. 0:20The difficulty or the impossibility of
9. 0:22answering that question definitively is
10. 0:23because none of us know when we're going
11. 0:25to die.
12. 0:26And so, if you were going to die
13. 0:27tomorrow, you would behave differently
14. 0:28than if you're going to die in a week or
15. 0:29if you're going to die in a year or
16. 0:30you're going to die in 10 years, right?
17. 0:32And since we do not know when we're
18. 0:32going to die, we plan differently
19. 0:34because the
20. 0:35the timeline that we have to work with,
21. 0:37um
22. 0:38dramatically changes our behavior,
23. 0:41right?
24. 0:42Um and so
25. 0:44basically, it's how much of that do you
26. 0:45want to consume today versus tomorrow?
27. 0:47And I think to some degree, it's how
28. 0:48much of your life do you want on
29. 0:50consumption versus investment? Like, how
30. 0:52much am I going to delay gratification
31. 0:54in the future versus enjoying
32. 0:55gratification today?
33. 0:57Um and I do not think that there's a
34. 0:58correct answer to that question because
35. 1:00it is entirely a personal, uh thing.
36. 1:02Now, me personally, um I mean, I think
37. 1:05Nirvana is you want to find a way to
38. 1:08enjoy the game that you play that also
39. 1:10builds something for the future.
40. 1:13And I think when you do that, then you
41. 1:14kind of you can uh in some way serve two
42. 1:16masters. If you like this video and
