- 0:12lot of decisions what to wear what to
- 0:15eat what appliances to buy how to use
- 0:17energy how to travel how to build or
- 0:20insulate our houses many people want to
- 0:24make their decisions more sustainable
- 0:26this means thinking about where raw
- 0:28materials come from how products are
- 0:31manufactured by which means they arrive
- 0:33at the store how we use them and what
- 0:36happens once we discard them
- 0:38our Collective choices as consumers can
- 0:41have a tremendous positive impact
- 0:44in Ukraine the European Union is helping
- 0:47households to replace conventional light
- 0:49bulbs with energy saving ones
- 0:52by replacing 35 million volts
- 0:55electricity consumption may drop by 10
- 0:58percent and reduce electricity demand at
- 1:01peak times
- 1:02we need help in making the best
- 1:04decisions for us and our planet
- 1:07when buying goods standards and labels
- 1:09can guide us by revealing key
- 1:11information about products and how they
- 1:14are made
- 1:15verified and trustworthy labels
- 1:17guarantee for example that goods were
- 1:20produced in an environmentally friendly
- 1:22manner without using harmful substances
- 1:25and under Fair working conditions
- 1:28both internationally recognized
- 1:30ecolables found on imported products as
- 1:33well as other country-specific labels
- 1:35can help us buy products that are more
- 1:38sustainable
- 1:39with the right information we can make
- 1:42choices today that are not only good for
- 1:44our wallets but also for a healthier and
- 1:47cleaner environment for us in future
- 1:49Generations
- 1:51the European Union is helping countries
- 1:53in Eastern Europe and the Caucasus to
- 1:56better understand how Eco levels are
- 1:58used what their benefits are and how to
- 2:01align National legislation with
- 2:04International best practices
- 2:06now it is your turn decisions matter let
- 2:10our everyday decisions also protect our
- 2:13planet
