  1. 0:00For me, I think it's essential to be
  2. 0:01making notes when we're playing in
  3. 0:02online poker tournaments cuz we've all
  4. 0:04got the same note-making ability. You
  5. 0:06can just double-click on their name, you
  6. 0:07type a note out, color code them.
  7. 0:09Everyone can do it, and they're
  8. 0:10definitely making notes about you, and
  9. 0:11we definitely need to be doing back to
  10. 0:13them.
  11. 0:24So, in terms of taking notes online, um
  12. 0:26I use labels. So, I have like the the
  13. 0:28six colors that Ace Poker provides. I
  14. 0:31think it's six. Um and they all denote a
  15. 0:33player type. And if I see something
  16. 0:35particularly noteworthy, I'll um
  17. 0:38I'll make a note in the note system
  18. 0:39there, write down doesn't like to fold
  19. 0:42or likes to put in lots of money, things
  20. 0:44like this. So, if there's anything
  21. 0:45that's particularly interesting that
  22. 0:46doesn't get covered by a color, I'll
  23. 0:48write down.
  24. 0:49So, for taking notes online, I've
  25. 0:50developed a shorthand to make it easier.
  26. 0:53Because all the time you're trying to
  27. 0:54type out a note on someone is time when
  28. 0:57you probably rather be focusing on the
  29. 0:59other tables cuz I often have like 10
  30. 1:00tables open at the same time when I'm
  31. 1:02playing online. So, having shorthand
  32. 1:04makes typing out my notes much quicker.
  33. 1:07So, I have things like CC for cold call
  34. 1:09or 3B for three bets. Just little things
  35. 1:11like that make things a little quicker
  36. 1:13for taking the notes, and that frees up
  37. 1:15more time for everything else you've got
  38. 1:17to do while you're in the middle of a
  39. 1:18session.
  40. 1:18When I tag players online and I make
  41. 1:21some notes, I will try to summarize an
  42. 1:26interesting play. For example, should
  43. 1:29have bluffed here and
  44. 1:31didn't, so probably someone who is more
  45. 1:34on the passive side. Or played every
  46. 1:37single hand when it shouldn't, so it's
  47. 1:39probably someone who is just VPIP'ing
  48. 1:40too much. So, I will try to get a little
  49. 1:43bit of their profile, but I try not to
  50. 1:46be just too certain and base every
  51. 1:50future play that I will have against
  52. 1:52that player on the notes.
  53. 1:53Early stages of tournaments, I I really
  54. 1:55tend to do a lot of making notes and
  55. 1:58things like that. Usually because I have
  56. 1:59a lot of tables and it's just too
  57. 2:00time-consuming. But towards the end of
  58. 2:02the session, if I'm down to sort of like
  59. 2:04the final two tables, I am just
  60. 2:06viciously taking notes. I'm watching the
  61. 2:07other table on all the players so that
  62. 2:09when I get to the final table, I'm the
  63. 2:11best prepared I can be
  64. 2:13to play versus all the players who are
  65. 2:14left in the tournament.
  66. 2:15The other thing I use for online note
  67. 2:17taking is the color coding system. Green
  68. 2:20might mean recreational, yellow might
  69. 2:22mean maniac, blue might mean good reg.
  70. 2:25Things like that help you quickly
  71. 2:26identify what kind of opponent you're up
  72. 2:28against at this at any one time.
  73. 2:30Normally, what I do to take notes online
  74. 2:33is I just see how the opponent behave
  75. 2:35and if they do something that I think is
  76. 2:38good to have, I just write what they did
  77. 2:42so that could help me to to make a
  78. 2:44decision in the future. For example, if
  79. 2:47a player open a hand that I think it
  80. 2:49shouldn't be open in that position, I
  81. 2:53try to write that that player is
  82. 2:55raising a hand with that hand in that
  83. 2:58position.
  84. 2:59When it comes to actually making notes
  85. 3:00on players, first of all, it's all down
  86. 3:02to the color coding for me.
  87. 3:03Red,
  88. 3:04not so good player.
  89. 3:06Green, good player. Blue, for an
  90. 3:09absolute god.
  91. 3:11Purple, a friend of my stream just so I
  92. 3:15know they might be watching. I don't use
  93. 3:17particular
  94. 3:18like shorthand method or anything like
  95. 3:20that. I'll just write down examples of
  96. 3:23what they've done. Like if they've done
  97. 3:24something especially bad, I'll write
  98. 3:25down what it was. Player limped ace two
  99. 3:28off under the gun, then called 50 blind
  100. 3:30all in. I'll just write down just
  101. 3:33a short note like that just so I get an
  102. 3:34idea of what kind of player I'm dealing
  103. 3:36with.
  104. 3:37Also, players evolve from years to
  105. 3:40years. So, maybe someone who I thought
  106. 3:43was too passive in the past nowadays is
  107. 3:44no longer so passive. So, I mark down
  108. 3:48plays, but I keep an open mind that it's
  109. 3:51just maybe
  110. 3:52a little piece of information, but I
  111. 3:54won't base all my decisions on that.
