What Nobody Tells You About Manifestation — Transcript

- 0:00Since the 2006 release of the film and
- 0:02book The Secret, followed by the 2020
- 0:05pandemic social media manifestation
- 0:07craze, manifestation has become a
- 0:09mainstream concept. There are so many
- 0:12people teaching about manifestation, so
- 0:14many people talking about it, so many
- 0:15people posting about their manifestation
- 0:17journeys online, but there is something
- 0:19really important that nobody is talking
- 0:21about when it comes to manifestation. A
- 0:23tiny little detail that isn't so tiny at
- 0:25all. This little detail is what we're
- 0:27going to be talking about in today's
- 0:29video.
- 0:34The idea that has been propagated is
- 0:36that manifestation is really, really
- 0:38simple. That it's as simple as think a
- 0:40positive thought where you are
- 0:41completely in the experience of already
- 0:43having the thing that you desire, and
- 0:45then it will appear or happen.
- 0:48As if the conscious mind were a device
- 0:50that simply orders what it wants from a
- 0:52compliant universe. The reality of
- 0:55manifestation is not this kindergarten.
- 0:57Here's what nobody tells you about
- 0:59manifestation.
- 1:00One, the conscious mind is not the only
- 1:03player in the picture of manifestation.
- 1:05It is not the only thing dictating your
- 1:07vibration. Subconscious processes are
- 1:10too. In fact, the subconscious mind is
- 1:12what rules your mind.
- 1:14Conscious focus rules an embarrassingly
- 1:16low percentage of your daily mental
- 1:18activity. What does this mean?
- 1:20You can consciously focus on having
- 1:22wealth for 20 minutes a day. However, if
- 1:24your subconscious mind holds a core
- 1:26belief like money is the root of all
- 1:28evil, your subconscious is going to win
- 1:30out, and you are unlikely to manifest
- 1:33wealth.
- 1:34On top of this, your mind creates an
- 1:35internal model of the world based on
- 1:37past experiences, not present conscious
- 1:40wishes. It projects what it expects to
- 1:42see onto reality. This predictive
- 1:45processing mechanism tends to be far
- 1:48stronger than conscious focus. Contrary
- 1:51to what people whose primary coping
- 1:52mechanism is to avoid all things they
- 1:54deem negative and to cling to a pure
- 1:56positive mindset tend to espouse
- 1:59the integration of the subconscious is
- 2:01critical work if what you are interested
- 2:03in is manifestation.
- 2:06Two, when you are manifesting on an
- 2:07energetic level, you are essentially
- 2:09declaring I am that.
- 2:11Not just I want that.
- 2:13You're saying, I choose to be what's a
- 2:15perfect match to fill in the blank with
- 2:17what you want. For example, if what you
- 2:19want is a compatible partner, you are
- 2:21energetically saying, I choose to be
- 2:23what is a perfect match to a compatible
- 2:25relationship. Well, in this time-space
- 2:27reality, there's no other way to
- 2:28experience it.
- 2:30What happens that second is that
- 2:33the snags need to be worked through. All
- 2:36the things preventing you from the thing
- 2:38you are wanting. Not just one snag, all
- 2:41the snags.
- 2:42And relative to certain things you
- 2:43desire, there can be quite a lot of
- 2:45them.
- 2:46All the things, all the layers that are
- 2:48not that and that are oppositional to
- 2:50that which you want.
- 2:51Manifesting is going to bring you face
- 2:53to face with what in your life and what
- 2:55within you is not congruent with that
- 2:58thing you want. But guess what? Working
- 3:00through these layers of incongruence is
- 3:03one of the most important things you can
- 3:05be doing with your life.
- 3:07Consciously setting an intention like
- 3:08this, transmitting what you want, and
- 3:10then working through each layer of
- 3:12incongruence is the design of not only
- 3:14your personal expansion, but universal
- 3:16expansion with it. And as you transmute
- 3:19each layer, you come closer and closer
- 3:22and closer. You get more and more and
- 3:24more of what you want. This process is
- 3:27an integral part of the purpose we have
- 3:29for incarnating into this life
- 3:31experience in the first place.
- 3:33Three, manifestation is not a passive
- 3:35process. Actively changing your
- 3:38perceptions, your decisions, your
- 3:39behaviors, and your actions is a
- 3:41critical part of manifestation.
- 3:43Putting yourself in the mental space of
- 3:45already having what you want is a
- 3:47powerful initial step, but just focusing
- 3:50on what you want to learn will not bring
- 3:51it magically into physical existence.
- 3:54What brings it into existence is your
- 3:55thoughts, perceptions, decisions,
- 3:57behaviors, and actions being in
- 3:58alignment with it. A mind being focused
- 4:01on the desired outcome drives
- 4:03intentional behavior. This intentional
- 4:05aligned behavior aligns all the layers
- 4:08of the being with that outcome, thus
- 4:10bringing it to fruition.
- 4:12This means you've got to change your
- 4:13behavior if you want the manifestation
- 4:15to occur. You also have to take actions
- 4:18if you want manifestation to occur.
- 4:21There's nothing passive about it, which
- 4:23is what you've been sold to believe.
- 4:25Four, manifestation is out of the
- 4:27comfort zone, and it implies a great
- 4:29deal of discomfort. A very important
- 4:32part of manifestation is to consciously
- 4:34choose consequences. We have to
- 4:36understand the costs and benefits of
- 4:38staying exactly where we are, as we are,
- 4:40and not making changes. And to the
- 4:42opposite, we need to understand the true
- 4:43costs and the benefits of making the
- 4:46necessary changes to align with what it
- 4:48is that we want. We will need to let go
- 4:50of a great many things that we truly
- 4:51believe are currently working for us. We
- 4:54will also need to face any fear that
- 4:55stands in the way, which will initially
- 4:57feel like a loss of safety to us.
- 4:59We will need to unlearn things, to see
- 5:01truths that are very painful to accept,
- 5:03to heal past traumas, to confront blind
- 5:05spots, to take risks, to step into the
- 5:08unknown, to feel the groundlessness of
- 5:10letting go of our identity, to feel the
- 5:12disorientation of stepping out of our
- 5:14old reality into a totally new one.
- 5:17Changing our patterns despite immense
- 5:19pressure to fall back into them is very
- 5:21difficult. Okay, this list goes on, but
- 5:24you get the point, right? Manifestation
- 5:25is not in the comfort zone.
- 5:27So you can understand this better, I'm
- 5:28going to give you an example. April has
- 5:30been doing manifestation exercises to
- 5:32manifest owning her own salon. April has
- 5:35been working out of other people's
- 5:36salons for the last 10 years, and she is
- 5:38desperate to open her own so she can
- 5:40express herself creatively, make really
- 5:42good money without being limited to only
- 5:44what she can make in a day styling and
- 5:45cutting hair,
- 5:47use the product she believes in and
- 5:48elevate industry standards to be
- 5:50environmentally sound. But in this
- 5:52process of manifestation, things occur
- 5:54that make April all too aware that she
- 5:57has lots of layers of incongruence in
- 5:59the way. Just to give you two examples
- 6:01of many. The adaptive strategy that she
- 6:03employs to stay socially safe is to
- 6:05people please and placate others. Rather
- 6:07than manifesting the salon owning
- 6:09experience she wanted, the first thing
- 6:11that happened was that she got an offer
- 6:14from the owner of the current salon she
- 6:15works for to take on the task of
- 6:17overseeing their newly opened location
- 6:19in a mall.
- 6:20April thought, "Hmm, maybe this is a
- 6:22good sign that I'm headed in the right
- 6:23direction."
- 6:25She took the position seeing as a
- 6:26stepping stone.
- 6:28But when an opportunity came to rent a
- 6:30place of her own and strike out, she
- 6:32spoke about it with two of her
- 6:33coworkers. Well, salons being what they
- 6:36are, word got back to her boss and her
- 6:38boss called her really upset.
- 6:41April was so afraid of a conflict with
- 6:43her boss that she denied everything. She
- 6:44told her boss it was just salon politics
- 6:46and triangulation and then went above
- 6:49and beyond to be the best possible
- 6:51employee letting the opportunity pass
- 6:53her by.
- 6:54And as if this wasn't bad enough, she
- 6:55decided to open a side business doing
- 6:57wedding hair on the weekends. But being
- 7:00a people pleaser, she set prices based
- 7:02off of what family, friends, and
- 7:04demanding clients wanted to pay rather
- 7:07than what the business required to cover
- 7:08overhead and make a profit. So, she
- 7:10actually lost money.
- 7:13April was not willing to do what was
- 7:15needed to actually fully line up with
- 7:17what she was wanting. She was preventing
- 7:19her own manifestation. But rather than
- 7:21see this, April started to think, "Maybe
- 7:23this manifestation stuff is just a bunch
- 7:25of BS and maybe it's just not for me."
- 7:28Now, in order to actually open the
- 7:30salon, she will have to stop her people
- 7:32pleasing placating behaviors. She will
- 7:34have to face her fears and yes, even
- 7:36traumas that fueled the behavior.
- 7:38She will have to change her perceptions
- 7:40about disapproval. She is going to have
- 7:42to choose consequences like upsetting
- 7:44her boss and being poorly talked about
- 7:46by other people, especially at the
- 7:47salon. She's going to need to mitigate a
- 7:49great deal of conflict and social
- 7:51upheaval in her life. She's going to
- 7:53need to set and keep boundaries that do
- 7:55not please others. She's going to have
- 7:57to actually take the action of striking
- 7:59out on her own, opening a business,
- 8:01seeking employees.
- 8:03The second layer of incongruence, of
- 8:05many, is that April has a split. One
- 8:08part of her wants to own a successful
- 8:09salon. Another part of her swoons at the
- 8:12idea of a man walking into her life and
- 8:14providing for her so she can have kids
- 8:16and be a homemaker.
- 8:18April follows tradwives obsessively on
- 8:20Instagram. She is envious of them.
- 8:23When she attends a weekly group for
- 8:25female entrepreneurs, she muscles up the
- 8:26persona of a hard-hitting businesswoman,
- 8:28but she got home and had second thoughts
- 8:30about all of it.
- 8:32She sat down and watched the movie The
- 8:33Longest Ride with a carton of ice cream,
- 8:35and the pain just started to flood up
- 8:37from within. These were two distinctly
- 8:39different life paths.
- 8:41She could do some version of both. Yeah,
- 8:43you could argue that. However, if she
- 8:44did this, she would be overwhelmed, and
- 8:46she would end up doing less of both.
- 8:49Basically, she would be limiting her
- 8:50maximum potential in both of them.
- 8:53Every time she goes um to align with
- 8:56owning a salon, the part of her that
- 8:58wants this kind of specific 1950s
- 9:00feminine experience and home life
- 9:01activates,
- 9:03and she puts more energy into
- 9:05doomscrolling on Instagram than she puts
- 9:07into taking the steps to become an
- 9:08entrepreneur.
- 9:10In order to move into alignment with her
- 9:11manifestation, she now has to do an
- 9:13existential deep dive into what she
- 9:15really wants in general.
- 9:17She has to re-examine her priorities and
- 9:19values. She has to figure out the why
- 9:21behind both desires. She may end up
- 9:23having to amend the vision of what she
- 9:25is wanting to manifest.
- 9:27She needs to do very serious integration
- 9:29work so this zero-sum game doesn't exist
- 9:33inside of her.
- 9:34None of this should discourage you from
- 9:36manifestation work.
- 9:38What it should do is to better prepare
- 9:39you for how it really works. The real
- 9:41good news is that when you get that this
- 9:43is how it works, you're not surprised by
- 9:45what is or what is not manifesting.
- 9:47You're able to be so much more of a
- 9:49conscious and active participant in the
- 9:51process of manifestation. And you can
- 9:54awaken more and more as this process
- 9:56highlights exactly where your
- 9:57subconscious programming, i.e. fears,
- 10:00doubts, and limiting beliefs, contradict
- 10:02your conscious desires, allowing you to
- 10:04address them directly. You can use this
- 10:06process to define yourself and amend the
- 10:09desired future more and more, and you
- 10:11can extract all the plethora of things
- 10:13that you are meant to extract from the
- 10:15process itself.
- 10:17All things you would miss out on
- 10:18entirely if manifestation did in fact
- 10:21work the way that you have been led to
- 10:23believe.
- 10:24Because we are on the subject, you may
- 10:26benefit by a guided meditation that I
- 10:28created called the Why You're Not
- 10:29Getting What You Want Meditation. This
- 10:31meditative experience leads you through
- 10:33the process of becoming aware of what
- 10:35your subconscious commitment is.
- 10:37Subconscious commitments often oppose
- 10:39conscious commitments, making the things
- 10:41that you want and are deeply committed
- 10:43to difficult or impossible to attain.
- 10:46But by becoming aware of your
- 10:47subconscious commitment, you're put into
- 10:49this position of empowerment to choose,
- 10:52as well as to align your energy and
- 10:54actions with what you really want.
- 10:57Here's the link if you want to try it.
- 10:59Have a good week.
