3. 0:11was kind of a challenge because where
4. 0:12I've come before because I've worked in
5. 0:13call centers we were always telling our
6. 0:15customers no but working here at Sabol
7. 0:17when I first started out was amazing
8. 0:19because they gave us all the tools to be
9. 0:21successful I've been here 12 years
10. 0:23straight there have been people that
11. 0:25have left for some amount of time and
12. 0:28have come back and have solidified that
13. 0:30thought that there is no place like
14. 0:32zappos.com you come to work wanting to
15. 0:36come to work not regretting oh my god
16. 0:40what's gonna happen today I don't want
17. 0:42to be at work but I love it you wake up
18. 0:45in the morning and you're happy and you
19. 0:47know you're coming to a happy place you
20. 0:50know what makes Zappos EPOS is the fact
21. 0:52that a guy like me can be in the
22. 0:54position that I'm in right now with no
23. 0:56formal training zero days of college it
24. 0:59was always very important to us to make
25. 1:00sure we picked the absolute best people
26. 1:02because I feel like that's important in
27. 1:04the continuation of our culture I
28. 1:06remember a long time we had this company
29. 1:09party and in the middle of the night he
30. 1:11was walking around giving out tacos I
31. 1:12mean what other CEO would do that and
32. 1:14that sticks with you to me Wow is really
33. 1:17not just meeting but exceeding
34. 1:18expectation
35. 1:19let's now work with understanding
36. 1:21customers is we need to understand their
37. 1:23expectations so that we can exceed them
38. 1:25Zappos invests in their employees and
39. 1:28from the people to the events the
40. 1:30activities one of our core values is to
41. 1:33be a little weird and we definitely have
42. 1:36that here it's a safe place to be who
43. 1:39you want to be time flies by when you're
44. 1:41having fun
45. 1:42and I've never felt that to be more true
46. 1:44than looking back and saying oh my gosh
47. 1:46I've spent more than a decade in this
48. 1:49building and it feels like I just
49. 1:50started yesterday
50. 1:51never before Zappos have experienced
51. 1:54this kind of really innovative company
52. 1:57culture culture the foots employees as
53. 2:00people first it's just great that we can
54. 2:03have the fun that we do while still
55. 2:04doing what I feel like is important work
