  1. 0:00In continuation of the discipline
  2. 0:01question, what if you can't eliminate
  3. 0:03distractions? For example, you need
  4. 0:06internet access to work, but then I just
  5. 0:08end up watching YouTube. Oh, no.
  6. 0:11>> [laughter]
  7. 0:16>> First off, you can block sites. So, I
  8. 0:18don't like you can block apps, you can
  9. 0:20block sites if you actually feel like
  10. 0:22you you you can't control yourself in
  11. 0:25that environment. Again, it's just like
  12. 0:26this is like the fact that you asked
  13. 0:28that question is really frightening for
  14. 0:30me because it's like this is solvable.
  15. 0:32Like this isn't like I didn't need to
  16. 0:33tell you that answer. And so,
  17. 0:36like
  18. 0:37I think I think a lot of people are
  19. 0:38asking questions just cuz they want like
  20. 0:39a hug. You know, they want a high five.
  21. 0:42Like, what do you want me to say here?
  22. 0:43Do you want me to say, "You know what,
  23. 0:44man?
  24. 0:45You're right.
  25. 0:47YouTube's too distracting. You have no
  26. 0:49chance.
  27. 0:50So, the way your life is right now is
  28. 0:51how it's going always going to be. So,
  29. 0:53you know,
  30. 0:55enjoy that. Right, of course not. It's
  31. 0:57ridiculous. You got to change to change.
  32. 0:58And so, we just want to maximize the
  33. 1:00odds. And of course, I mean, you started
  34. 1:02the premise of like some things you
  35. 1:03can't eliminate. You said the internet,
  36. 1:04but then you said YouTube. It's like
  37. 1:06that's a straw man. Right? Of course,
  38. 1:08the internet. Yes, okay, eliminate some
  39. 1:09of the other stuff that you have. But,
  40. 1:12if you really need to on the internet,
  41. 1:13it's What are we using the internet for?
  42. 1:15Is it for research? Do we need it just
  43. 1:17because we need to process words? Is it
  44. 1:18that we need to type Okay, like
  45. 1:20what are we actually using the internet
  46. 1:21for? You might be able to actually work
  47. 1:23airplane mode if you're actually that
  48. 1:25worried about it. Like there's always
  49. 1:26little things that you can do because
  50. 1:27you might only need it for a specific
  51. 1:29period of time. I have a timer that I
  52. 1:31use that's on my desk that I time my
  53. 1:33tasks with because I know if I have a
  54. 1:35clock in front of me, the my speed of
  55. 1:37work probably triples. I stay on task
  56. 1:39when I can see that there's a clock that
  57. 1:40I'm timing myself even though there's no
  58. 1:42jury or judge or executioner to
  59. 1:44determine whether I did or not. I see
  60. 1:46that there's a clock and like I got to
  61. 1:47stay on task. That's how I manage
  62. 1:48myself. I'll give you one more tip and
  63. 1:50this is for people who have a little bit
  64. 1:52of ADD.
  65. 1:53Uh you can get a work buddy. And so, uh
  66. 1:56basically, if you work better with
  67. 1:57somebody else, like you actually are
  68. 1:58both more productive, uh it's a great
  69. 2:00way of keeping each other on task. If
  70. 2:02you like this video and you're a
  71. 2:03business owner who wants to break
  72. 2:04through your current revenue ceiling, I
  73. 2:05distilled every lesson from scaling 10
  74. 2:07businesses past 10 million and three
  75. 2:08businesses past 100 million into a
  76. 2:10completely free scaling roadmap that
  77. 2:12I've used to go from zero to one, zero
  78. 2:13to 10, and zero to 100 plus. And so, you
