  1. 0:01- Hey guys. This is a quick public service announcement
  2. 0:02before my interview with David Horowitz.
  3. 0:04David Horowitz actually said a couple lines
  4. 0:07that we are being forced to censor
  5. 0:10because of the YouTube rules.
  6. 0:11We have never done something like this before
  7. 0:13and as far as I know, David Horowitz is a free citizen
  8. 0:16in the free country of the United States
  9. 0:18who is entitled to free speech.
  10. 0:20That being said,
  11. 0:21I can't risk having this channel deleted from YouTube
  12. 0:24and that basically is what would happen
  13. 0:26if we went ahead and aired it unedited.
  14. 0:29So, you will hear some bleeps in this interview.
  15. 0:32If you would like to hear what David Horowitz,
  16. 0:35a free man in the free country, actually said,
  17. 0:38you can check out the full video at rubinreport.locals.com
  18. 0:42Quick shoutout to Susan Wojcicki over at YouTube.
  19. 0:45(tongue clicking)
  20. 0:47- People go along with the crowd, it's survival.
  21. 0:51It's very, when I was 35 and left the left
  22. 0:54I lost every friend that I had in life.
  23. 0:59I had to start all over again.
  24. 1:01When that happened it seemed impossible.
  25. 1:04But I've had a good life afterwards, so it's possible.
  26. 1:07But I think most people
  27. 1:08are just afraid of losing their friends.
  28. 1:11That's pretty much...
  29. 1:12And that's why the left is so vicious
  30. 1:15in the way it characterizes its opponents.
  31. 1:20Because of that it keeps everybody in line.
  32. 1:23They don't want to be called racist
  33. 1:24and white supremacist and all that.
  34. 1:27(intro music)
  35. 1:34I'm Dave Rubin and joining is the original,
  36. 1:37why I left the left guy
  37. 1:40as well as the author of around 20 books.
  38. 1:42I couldn't even figure out how many.
  39. 1:44Including his most recent,
  40. 1:45The Enemy Within: How a Totalitarian Movement
  41. 1:49is Destroying America.
  42. 1:50David Horowitz, welcome back to the Rubin Report.
  43. 1:53- Thanks for having me, Dave.
  44. 1:55- Glad to have you back on.
  45. 1:57So first off, you've written at least 20 books.
  46. 1:59I mean, do you even know at this point?
  47. 2:02- No. I actually don't. But it's like that.
  48. 2:06I've written like four in the last two years.
  49. 2:09- Yeah. You are a prolific writer.
  50. 2:11I have many of your books on my shelf.
  51. 2:14But let's quickly, before we get into the new book,
  52. 2:16and you've predicted, I mean, you really have been right
  53. 2:19about so much.
  54. 2:20And I wonder if that makes you feel good or depressed.
  55. 2:24But before I do anything else,
  56. 2:25you sort of are the original, why I left the left guy.
  57. 2:28For people that haven't seen our original interview,
  58. 2:30we'll link to it down below.
  59. 2:32But you sort of 30 years before me, made that move.
  60. 2:38I suspect you feel pretty good about it
  61. 2:40after coming from a family that was communist and socialist
  62. 2:43and being a lefties and then finally Reagan broke ya.
  63. 2:46And here ya are.
  64. 2:47- It's hard to feel good about being right about
  65. 2:50such terrible things that have happened to our country.
  66. 2:53Yeah, I was raised by communists.
  67. 2:55I was the editor of the largest magazine in the new left.
  68. 3:01And I left the left when I realized, as you did eventually,
  69. 3:06that it's not about peace and justice.
  70. 3:09It's a hate America left.
  71. 3:11These people are, they're totalitarians.
  72. 3:15They want to control every aspect of your life
  73. 3:17down to the pronouns.
  74. 3:20And that makes them very, very dangerous.
  75. 3:24It's a crypto religion, as I've said for a long time.
  76. 3:29They believe in a redemption
  77. 3:30but they think the redeemers can be politicians.
  78. 3:34Please. There can never be a world that's just
  79. 3:39because it's made up of people who are the problem.
  80. 3:44It's the perception of...
  81. 3:46The whole, our whole saga is told in genesis in the bible
  82. 3:50A had paradise was better than the green new deal
  83. 3:55but there was only one thing you had to do
  84. 3:57to stay in paradise
  85. 3:59and that was not to want to do evil.
  86. 4:02It's mind boggling to me because of the..
  87. 4:05You have all this live television,
  88. 4:07these television shows about murders,
  89. 4:10about how terrible people are.
  90. 4:12If they just showed you the cruelty to animals
  91. 4:15that people are capable of, you could never believe
  92. 4:18in a world redeemed by radicals or any mortals.
  93. 4:25- Yeah, well I suspect that the mortals
  94. 4:27on the cover of this book
  95. 4:28are not the mortals that you think are going to get us
  96. 4:31to redemption. I mean this is a...
  97. 4:33This is pretty much all of the bad guys right here.
  98. 4:39- That's the favorite part of my contribution to the book.
  99. 4:42I designed that cover.
  100. 4:44- There you go. You designed the cover with the head shots,
  101. 4:46with the head shots of some radicals.
  102. 4:48Do you believe, is it your position,
  103. 4:51that they all are equally radical?
  104. 4:53Like is the Ilhan Omar, say AOC,
  105. 4:57Ayanna Pressley thing, or Rashida Tlaib thing,
  106. 4:59is that as, is it that more radical
  107. 5:02than say, Pelosi, Shumer, Biden
  108. 5:04or is it all just the same thing at this point?
  109. 5:05- The thing in the left and that
  110. 5:07is there are very few serious people.
  111. 5:13We're living on so much misinformation and ignorance,
  112. 5:18so I think people go along with the crowd, it's survival.
  113. 5:23It's very...
  114. 5:24When I was 35 and left the left,
  115. 5:26I lost every friend that I had in life
  116. 5:31and I had to start all over again.
  117. 5:33When that happened, it seemed impossible.
  118. 5:36But I've had a good life afterwards, so it's possible.
  119. 5:39But I think most people are just afraid
  120. 5:42of losing their friends.
  121. 5:43That's pretty much...
  122. 5:45And that's why the left is so vicious
  123. 5:48in the way it characterizes its opponents.
  124. 5:53Because of that it keeps everybody in line.
  125. 5:55They don't want to be called racist
  126. 5:57and white supremacist and all that.
  127. 6:01I think we're, the sad reality
  128. 6:04is that we're in the early stages of fascist state,
  129. 6:08and I use that word advisedly.
  130. 6:11If you think of the...
  131. 6:13I just lost a friend of 70 years, Ron (indistinct)
  132. 6:16I actually wrote a story about it.
  133. 6:19Because I questioned the election results in 2020,
  134. 6:23I lose a friend of 70 years?
  135. 6:26When there's all of these irregularities that are obvious.
  136. 6:29And when nobody has done an audit of the election
  137. 6:32and when the democrats have challenged
  138. 6:35every republican presidential victory
  139. 6:38since 2000,
  140. 6:392000, 2004,
  141. 6:41and of course, the Trump election.
  142. 6:43And then if you look what happened on January 6th,
  143. 6:46this is the great crime of conservatives.
  144. 6:50First of all, Trump's speech basically...
  145. 6:55Not basically, literally in so many words he said,
  146. 6:58"I want you to protest peacefully and patriotically,
  147. 7:02I want you to stiffen the spines of weak republicans
  148. 7:06who are afraid to challenge this election result,
  149. 7:13and if you fail," he said, "then what you must do
  150. 7:15is go home and primary them."
  151. 7:18You can't imagine a more democratic, peaceful
  152. 7:22statement than that.
  153. 7:24Okay, so those people went and for whatever reason,
  154. 7:28some of them got out of control
  155. 7:30and the crime they've been charged,
  156. 7:32actually charged with, is trespassing.
  157. 7:36There are people who are still in jail.
  158. 7:38It's now five months, held without bail
  159. 7:42for trespassing.
  160. 7:44And what was the democrats reaction?
  161. 7:46They called it an armed insurrection
  162. 7:48even though there was not a single arm confiscated.
  163. 7:51- Zero, zero.
  164. 7:53- It was actually a fairly peaceful protest
  165. 7:56when you think about everything that happened
  166. 7:58all summer with democrat support.
  167. 8:00They didn't burn the capital,
  168. 8:02they didn't destroy a lot of things
  169. 8:06and the only person who was murdered, that was killed,
  170. 8:09was a Trump supporter.
  171. 8:11And her murderer is protected by Pelosi.
  172. 8:15We still don't know his name and he's not...
  173. 8:17There are not going to be any charges.
  174. 8:19And it was videoed by a journalist
  175. 8:21who's showing that she was completely non threatening.
  176. 8:25She was unarmed, she's small and she was threatening nobody
  177. 8:29when she was killed.
  178. 8:32That journalist, Hispanic, is in jail
  179. 8:36for being there and being a journalist.
  180. 8:39If this isn't fascism, I don't know what is.
  181. 8:42But it's worse than that because Pelosi,
  182. 8:45remember she said republicans are enemies of the state.
  183. 8:50And remember the democrats, the leftest,
  184. 8:53the far left of the democrat,
  185. 8:54which is a pretty dominant (indistinct)
  186. 8:58called for the expulsion, actually of 100 republicans
  187. 9:01from the house for questioning the election.
  188. 9:04Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz were singled out
  189. 9:06by the democrat leadership to be removed from the senate
  190. 9:10because they questioned an election.
  191. 9:12When the democrats have done this every election
  192. 9:15in recent memory.
  193. 9:16- Hilary Clinton still has a tweet up right now
  194. 9:19about the illegitimate presidency of Donald Trump
  195. 9:22- Yeah, exactly. They never accepted Trump.
  196. 9:26Yet, this is supposed to be a threat
  197. 9:28to our democracy that you raise.
  198. 9:31And anybody who's looked at the evidence knows
  199. 9:33that there were humongous irregularities,
  200. 9:37to put a nice term on it, during the election.
  201. 9:41But then Nancy Pelosi orders 25,000 troops
  202. 9:45into the capital at a cost of half a billion dollars
  203. 9:48for a nonexistent, non specified threat.
  204. 9:53What is that but to send a message to conservatives
  205. 9:56that they're gunning for us?
  206. 9:58Then the head of the military orders a two month stand down
  207. 10:02to conduct a witch hunt of so called extremists
  208. 10:06in the military, then in the capital police,
  209. 10:08then in the homeland security.
  210. 10:10Then the justice department announces there's...
  211. 10:14Going to allocate $89 million to investigate extremists,
  212. 10:19I mean, conservatives all over the country.
  213. 10:22It's so reminiscent of the Reichstag fire.
  214. 10:26Hitler was elected in a democracy, the Weimar republic.
  215. 10:31He was elected chancellor.
  216. 10:34He gets into power and the first thing the Nazis do
  217. 10:37is they burn down their own capital, called the Reichstag,
  218. 10:41blame it on a Dutch communist
  219. 10:43and pass a Reichstag fire act to criminalize descent,
  220. 10:53which is what the democrats have been doing
  221. 10:54ever since Donald Trump was elected.
  222. 10:57Criminalize descent and established the Third Reich.
  223. 11:02You know what? One thing that my book,
  224. 11:04The Enemy Within does, is I document,
  225. 11:07if you look at the democrat's agenda
  226. 11:10it's not about getting rid of Trump,
  227. 11:12it's not about winning an election,
  228. 11:14it's about establishing a one party state.
  229. 11:17Stack the Supreme Court,
  230. 11:19that's to abolish the independent judiciary.
  231. 11:22Abolish the electoral college,
  232. 11:25which was designed to force presidential candidates
  233. 11:29to compete in ballot round states
  234. 11:31where they didn't have a majority,
  235. 11:33thus force them to compromise our whole system,
  236. 11:36is built on compromise.
  237. 11:38That's why we've only have one civil war
  238. 11:41and no successful coup d'etat.
  239. 11:45The democrat program is a fascist program.
  240. 11:50There is nobody...
  241. 11:52The only republicans who are legitimate
  242. 11:56are those, you know like Liz Cheney.
  243. 11:59- Right, they love Liz Cheney now because she's a pet.
  244. 12:02So, you lay all of this out in the book.
  245. 12:06It's quite extraordinary actually, and as I said,
  246. 12:07you've been right about a lot of stuff
  247. 12:09way before a lot of people.
  248. 12:11So what do you think the average conservative,
  249. 12:15and I now use that term in a broad sense.
  250. 12:18If you believe America is good,
  251. 12:20you're a conservative as far as I'm concerned.
  252. 12:22What do you think the average conservative
  253. 12:24can do to fight this
  254. 12:25because it feels like the deck is
  255. 12:27completely stacked against us?
  256. 12:30- Republican conservatives have been asleep for 50 years
  257. 12:33while the democrats have taken over our culture.
  258. 12:37I wrote five books on the universities,
  259. 12:39that of one of them people paid a little attention to.
  260. 12:43But the republican...
  261. 12:44And I organized academic freedom campaigns
  262. 12:48and I got no real support out of the republican party.
  263. 12:52But between Obama and, I all him the (indistinct)
  264. 13:01and Biden, one of the nastiest human beings on the planet.
  265. 13:05I don't know how he gets this reputation
  266. 13:07for being a nice guy.
  267. 13:11They've begun to wake people up.
  268. 13:13And Donald Trump has given our country
  269. 13:17and patriots a great gift.
  270. 13:19And this is, he has created the first
  271. 13:22mass conservative movement in our history.
  272. 13:26When I came into the right in the mid 80s,
  273. 13:2940 years ago now,
  274. 13:31I looked around and said, "Where's the ground army?"
  275. 13:34And all my ex comrades on the left are at awe.
  276. 13:38They had 100 organizations, or 200,
  277. 13:41to harass, and threaten, and defame
  278. 13:45politicians until they got on their...
  279. 13:48Into their program and corporations.
  280. 13:50Why are corporations involved?
  281. 13:54Corporations are basically cowards.
  282. 13:57They don't want to lose customers, that's their bottom line.
  283. 14:01But if you harass them enough, they will respond.
  284. 14:06And it's interesting already, the backlash has caused them
  285. 14:10Disney just pulled back its racist program.
  286. 14:17I long to see people get in the face
  287. 14:21of teachers, of principals, of superintendents,
  288. 14:24of schools, of school boards
  289. 14:27who are indoctrinating their children
  290. 14:28and hate America, garbage.
  291. 14:31And you know, we're so backward,
  292. 14:33I've been watching FOX and they're talking about
  293. 14:36the 1619 project, and they're talking about the 20 slaves.
  294. 14:42There weren't slaves.
  295. 14:43I mean, I've read Neil Painter,
  296. 14:44who's a black leftist Princeton historian
  297. 14:47on this subject. They were indentured servants.
  298. 14:50And slavery was actually outlawed Virginia in 1619.
  299. 14:56And Virginia wasn't America in 1619.
  300. 14:59It was a British colony.
  301. 15:01And this is supposed to be our founding
  302. 15:04according to these liars,
  303. 15:06and yet if you look at FOX, they're not saying...
  304. 15:10They don't know the facts.
  305. 15:11- Right. To be clear, we were not a nation
  306. 15:13till about 150 years later.
  307. 15:15So, the idea that the nation was founded
  308. 15:17on something that happened 150 before,
  309. 15:19when everyone was dead, seemed a little odd.
  310. 15:23- Just terrible.
  311. 15:24- So, what does the future...
  312. 15:27- I want to see a sit in at the headquarters of Twitter
  313. 15:31announcing their censorship, embarrassing them.
  314. 15:35That's what's really needed.
  315. 15:36And I see the stirrings of it all over the place.
  316. 15:41There are people organize...
  317. 15:42Particularly, in the schools and that gives me hope.
  318. 15:47- Do you think though that, since you brought up Twitter,
  319. 15:49that the big tech part of this
  320. 15:51is the part that makes the asymmetry so out of wack?
  321. 15:54It would be one thing if it was slightly out of wack,
  322. 15:56but now, the way we get information is so tilted
  323. 16:00that people can't coordinate properly
  324. 16:03or can't even get the information properly
  325. 16:05or agree on what's true.
  326. 16:06- Change is coming.
  327. 16:08The one thing about tech is it's always changing.
  328. 16:14What's it called? Sub stack, already is a media outlet
  329. 16:17that has a lot of people who are
  330. 16:20second thoughters like you on it,
  331. 16:24people who have impeccable leftist credentials
  332. 16:27who are really upset about the cancel culture.
  333. 16:30And just the terms we use; cancel culture.
  334. 16:33It's book burning, it's what the Nazi's did in the 30s
  335. 16:37You can't just burn books today
  336. 16:39because you've got a digital universe that you can't burn.
  337. 16:42But that's what it is
  338. 16:44and I would like to see people,
  339. 16:46I mean, I know that I'm not making myself popular
  340. 16:49by referring to the Biden administration as fascist,
  341. 16:52but technically, that's what it is.
  342. 16:55And I tell you, if we don't stop them,
  343. 16:58they will put us in reeducation camps.
  344. 17:00They've already telegraphed that.
  345. 17:03That conservatives are (indistinct) racists
  346. 17:06who have to be reprogrammed.
  347. 17:08- You think, do we get to share a gulag as the YLFLF guys?
  348. 17:11That would be nice.
  349. 17:14- That's very probable.
  350. 17:16- Very probable, great.
  351. 17:17- (indistinct)
  352. 17:24and that book really moved me at the time.
  353. 17:26- Yeah, well, you know I toured with Jordan Peterson
  354. 17:28and he often brought up the Gulag Acapella
  355. 17:31for the same reason .
  356. 17:33- Thank my lucky stars for Jordan Peterson.
  357. 17:36Otherwise I would be feeling guilty
  358. 17:38about all the things I wasn't writing.
  359. 17:44one part I would like to mention
  360. 17:46is the chapter on, or chapters on the black list
  361. 17:51very, very serious.
  362. 17:53I'm not going to name the outlet but I wrote this article
  363. 17:58about how Ron (indistinct) had joined the fascists
  364. 18:02and slipped a knife between my ribs.
  365. 18:05- I've got the piece right here.
  366. 18:08- I tried to place it with a very prominent conservative
  367. 18:15media site but they're also on Facebook.
  368. 18:20You know, if you're a big media site,
  369. 18:21you got to be on all the platforms.
  370. 18:23And they said that Facebook would just close it down
  371. 18:29if it appeared there.
  372. 18:32People have to understand, we are in the early stages
  373. 18:35of a fascist state. We do not...
  374. 18:37America is no longer a free country.
  375. 18:41Its freedom is hard won by courageous people like yourself
  376. 18:45who are willing to stand up and take the slings and arrows.
  377. 18:51- So what do we do then? We can sit in at Twitter.
  378. 18:54I know you're a fighter.
  379. 18:55You've been doing this for a long time.
  380. 18:57What do we really do?
  381. 18:59Is Trump the only thing that can save us?
  382. 19:01Do we need the return of Trump to lead the republicans?
  383. 19:04It ain't going to be Liz Cheney.
  384. 19:06- Here's what I think about Trump.
  385. 19:09People are talking about Ron DeSantis, whom I admire,
  386. 19:12and in my black list story, I tell how they used
  387. 19:16First, they called me a notorious racist,
  388. 19:19then because he spoke at my events, they used that,
  389. 19:23and when I say they,
  390. 19:24I'm talking about the so called liberal media,
  391. 19:28New York Magazine, Washington Post,
  392. 19:31used that to try to taint him and destroy him.
  393. 19:35And he has a delivery which a lot of people think
  394. 19:39is more user friendly, shall we say than Trump's
  395. 19:46and I hope he's on the ticket, actually.
  396. 19:49But the reason that I believe that Trump is
  397. 19:53bound to be the leader, is
  398. 19:56(bleep)
  399. 20:01He got 75 million votes, despite four years
  400. 20:06of unbelievable slander and lies direct to him
  401. 20:09and no credit for what he had done.
  402. 20:13But I think ordinary Americans, patriotic Americans,
  403. 20:16see this guy as someone, here he was, a billionaire
  404. 20:21living the life and he put himself and his family
  405. 20:25through all this to save the country, basically.
  406. 20:31I mean, those credentials are golden
  407. 20:34you really can't beat them.
  408. 20:37And I think his aggression is necessary.
  409. 20:40The reason the democrats hate him
  410. 20:41is because he called them out.
  411. 20:44Called them out as racist
  412. 20:45for their control of the inner cities.
  413. 20:49Called them out for their betrayal of the...
  414. 20:52I will say, as somebody who's been in politics 50, 60 years,
  415. 20:57I had no idea that they were selling us out
  416. 20:59in trade deals the way they were.
  417. 21:03I mean, it's Bush, Clinton, Obama.
  418. 21:10Either they were too lazy to cut decent deals for Americans
  419. 21:15or they just didn't care about fleecing our country
  420. 21:19for Chinese communists,
  421. 21:21they're genocidal dictators, for crying out tears.
  422. 21:27- Do you think that that's what it really is?
  423. 21:28That in many ways, just we've gone through
  424. 21:29several generations at this point,
  425. 21:31or at least several decades,
  426. 21:33of just leadership and an institutional elite
  427. 21:35that has sold us out at every level
  428. 21:38so there almost isn't enough of what is American left
  429. 21:41to defend the documents that freed all of us?
  430. 21:45- Well, we have to have a leader who fights
  431. 21:48and that's Trump.
  432. 21:50What American would blow up the Southern border
  433. 21:54in the middle of a global pandemic
  434. 21:56with new viruses or variants, as they call them
  435. 22:00are appearing all the time?
  436. 22:03Biden has just let 100,000 COVID carriers
  437. 22:07into the country, which shows what a liar he is
  438. 22:10every time he's accused Trump of killing
  439. 22:13corona virus patients.
  440. 22:15He's killing them, he's killing Americans.
  441. 22:19The child abuse epic on the border.
  442. 22:24It's just unreal, and the denial of reality..
  443. 22:29This is the norm. It's not the norm.
  444. 22:34It's like 20 times whatever...
  445. 22:36I forget the actual statistics.
  446. 22:38But they're humongous in terms of the
  447. 22:42deterioration of the country.
  448. 22:45The amount of criminals who are being left in,
  449. 22:47the amount of people who have not pledged allegiance
  450. 22:51to our society. America is unique.
  451. 22:56It's our culture, something leftists never understand.
  452. 22:59Culture determines things.
  453. 23:02How is it that Japan, which has no natural resources,
  454. 23:06is a first world country?
  455. 23:09Mexico, which has oil,
  456. 23:11which has had it's independence for 100 years or whatever,
  457. 23:18is flooding refugees into America.
  458. 23:23What's the difference between Japan and Mexico?
  459. 23:27It's all about culture,
  460. 23:28and America had a great culture
  461. 23:30which is being systemically dismantled by the democrats.
  462. 23:37- So, as someone that gets this, and as I said
  463. 23:41you've been right on so much of this way earlier
  464. 23:43but you're still now, you're losing friends
  465. 23:45that are, that you've had for 70 years.
  466. 23:50People ask me this,
  467. 23:51maybe you have a better answer than I have.
  468. 23:54If someone's kind of wavering right now
  469. 23:55and they're kind of waking up to some of this stuff,
  470. 23:57because I think a lot of people are.
  471. 23:59I think people are shocked at how horrific
  472. 24:00the Biden administration has been
  473. 24:02and how out of control wokeism is.
  474. 24:06What's the move that you've made
  475. 24:08to really help people wake up?
  476. 24:10Beyond just handing them facts, I mean that,
  477. 24:12we know that that doesn't always work.
  478. 24:15- I mean, this book has a lot about the race issue
  479. 24:17and the way they deploy racism and sexism as weapons.
  480. 24:25I think the biggest thing is
  481. 24:28if somebody is truly in transition,
  482. 24:32it means they're reading and thinking
  483. 24:34or listening and thinking.
  484. 24:38My friend, or former friend (indistinct).
  485. 24:41It's been three years, I could not ever get him
  486. 24:44I would write an email and we had all kinds of ground rules
  487. 24:48to protect our egos or what have you.
  488. 24:51Couldn't get him to consider a single argument.
  489. 24:54I said in my book, I'm (indistinct)
  490. 24:57I said in the manuscript of this book, The Enemy Within
  491. 25:03and in the article that Ian Stern wrote
  492. 25:05for the new republic, there's no a singe argument
  493. 25:08that I give that's engaged.
  494. 25:11(bleep)
  495. 25:19- You're trying to get me booted from YouTube.
  496. 25:26- I try to think about those things.
  497. 25:28I try never to get people into situations
  498. 25:32that they can't handle, but I know that you can handle it.
  499. 25:37- Thanks David.
  500. 25:39- I can't clip my wings.
  501. 25:41- Fair enough. I don't bring you on to clip your wings.
  502. 25:43And I'll deal with those guys.
  503. 25:45- Everything rests on creating or energizing
  504. 25:49this mass movement and directing it to protest this.
  505. 25:52Taking back the congress, dealing with the tech companies.
  506. 25:59Trump was in power for four years.
  507. 26:00It's like republicans said for a decade,
  508. 26:03they said they're going to repeal and replace
  509. 26:06Obama care and they never did.
  510. 26:09That's the huge...
  511. 26:11Conservatives are always complaining about the media,
  512. 26:13which is fair. It's a lying, disgusting media.
  513. 26:17I'm racist, seeing CNN. They're just filled with liars
  514. 26:22and racists, and not to mention MSNBC.
  515. 26:26But the real problem is the politeness of conservatives.
  516. 26:32Conservatives are being called white supremacists,
  517. 26:34white nationalists, traitors, enemies of the state,
  518. 26:40insurrections actually.
  519. 26:44And what do republicans call democrats? Liberals.
  520. 26:47(Rubin laughs)
  521. 26:50- We can't win that war. We're the only liberals
  522. 26:53and the only people in this country who want to hear
  523. 26:56two sides to a conversation are conservatives.
  524. 27:00And you know that all you have to do is turn on FOX
  525. 27:04Or News Max, the conservative media,
  526. 27:07They're always entertaining the other side
  527. 27:10because I think conservatives are confident
  528. 27:12we can win the arguments, we're not afraid of them.
  529. 27:15And if we're wrong, we're capable
  530. 27:17of changing our views on a subject.
  531. 27:19- David, defending my liberal beliefs
  532. 27:22has become a conservative position.
  533. 27:24It's always a pleasure talking to you
  534. 27:26because I love the fact that people,
  535. 27:28people did this before me and people will do this after me
  536. 27:32and I appreciate all the fight, and I...
  537. 27:35You fled California, so you left me here.
  538. 27:38So I hope to see you one of these days
  539. 27:40but I'm guessing it's not because you're coming back here.
  540. 27:43- No, you'll be on your way to Florida
  541. 27:45or some other (indistinct) Texas
  542. 27:47and you can stop on the way and visit me.
  543. 27:51- The book is Enemy Within. Thank you so much, David.
  544. 27:55- We'll see each other again on your podcast
  545. 27:58because I got another book coming out in the fall
  546. 28:00- Naturally. I will gladly have you on.
  547. 28:02Thank you, my friend.
