  1. 0:00The rumors are true. Kelly and I are
  2. 0:02moving in together and not only that,
  3. 0:03we're buying a house together!
  4. 0:07>> [music]
  5. 0:07>> Yes, guys. This is such an exciting new
  6. 0:09chapter for the both of us and I feel so
  7. 0:11lucky to be in a position where I can
  8. 0:13look for a home alongside my best
  9. 0:15[music] friend. It's always been our
  10. 0:16dream to own a place together that we
  11. 0:17can make our own and we've actually been
  12. 0:19looking at places since the spring time.
  13. 0:21So guys, let's take a look starting with
  14. 0:23apartment number one. Today we are
  15. 0:25touring a walk-up apartment. We have to
  16. 0:28walk up all four floors up to the
  17. 0:30penthouse. We're calling the penthouse
  18. 0:31right now.
  19. 0:33But it's a beautiful day and there's so
  20. 0:35much sun going into the house. So
  21. 0:37hopefully this will be amazing and cool.
  22. 0:39We're in the East Village. The East
  23. 0:42Village. Okay, guys. I finally got into
  24. 0:44the building. This is apartment number
  25. 0:46one. This apartment was really like
  26. 0:47vintage. It was really old. The floors
  27. 0:49were really like creaky and everything
  28. 0:52about this was old. Like I don't even
  29. 0:53know, but I walked in here it's kind of
  30. 0:55grandma vibes, but it was also very
  31. 0:57charming. It was very charming. like it
  32. 0:58had a lot of character. It had a pretty
  33. 1:01like good amount of sunlight and it was
  34. 1:02super artsy. Like I felt like an artist
  35. 1:04lived here and it was very thoroughly
  36. 1:07decorated. cute. It has so much charm
  37. 1:11and it's so adorable and like artsy and
  38. 1:13fun. But I also felt like one bad
  39. 1:15thunderstorm and this thing is coming
  40. 1:17down. rickety, but I still liked it. I
  41. 1:19really loved the bedroom how I had like
  42. 1:21a fireplace with a mantel and I felt
  43. 1:24like no matter what furniture you put in
  44. 1:26it, it would be well decorated [music]
  45. 1:27just cuz the architecture of the space
  46. 1:29was really cute. But definitely the cons
  47. 1:31were the stairs and having a walk-up
  48. 1:33with the amount like we travel with
  49. 1:34suitcases and stuff, I just don't know
  50. 1:36[music] if that's a good idea. And it
  51. 1:37was still a lot of money and it was on a
  52. 1:39really busy street where there's lots of
  53. 1:41sirens and lots of people. So I was kind
  54. 1:44of like iffy about it, but it did have a
  55. 1:46gorgeous rooftop. I will say that. I do
  56. 1:49love this one because it gives us the
  57. 1:50vibe of it will be completely ours and
  58. 1:52we could change it any which way and
  59. 1:54it's kind of like a blank canvas for us.
  60. 1:56Especially the rooftop was just so
  61. 1:58amazing and just open space. I could
  62. 2:00definitely see it, but I think the
  63. 2:01walk-up was really like the the nail
  64. 2:03that like I couldn't get over.
  65. 2:05>> Yeah.
  66. 2:06>> And now for apartment two, this is a
  67. 2:08gorgeous penthouse located in the Lower
  68. 2:12East Side.
  69. 2:13>> I thought this was the one. I thought it
  70. 2:15was like one and done. We found it until
  71. 2:17we figured out the price.
  72. 2:18>> Yeah, the price was genuinely way too
  73. 2:21much. We just saw the pictures and we're
  74. 2:23like we need to go see this space. Was
  75. 2:25it two-bed? Two-bed. It also had
  76. 2:27multiple outdoor terraces.
  77. 2:29>> Yeah, it kind of lacked a little bit of
  78. 2:30character, but it was like so modern and
  79. 2:32nice that I was like this is the best
  80. 2:33thing ever.
  81. 2:34>> And it also even had a wine room.
  82. 2:36Obviously, neither of us really need
  83. 2:38that, but it was kind of a cool feature.
  84. 2:41And we also really loved that there were
  85. 2:42stairs.
  86. 2:43>> Oh my god, I love stairs so much.
  87. 2:45>> I feel like having an apartment that has
  88. 2:47multiple stories seems really homey to
  89. 2:49us, so that's something that we were
  90. 2:50kind of looking for. And then we also
  91. 2:52loved that they had a rooftop.
  92. 2:53>> I was already imagining I'm putting a
  93. 2:55mini ramp up here.
  94. 2:56I'm putting a hot tub up here. The
  95. 2:58entire space was so beautiful, but
  96. 2:59really wasn't like us in a sense. Really
  97. 3:02was gray and white toned. Well,
  98. 3:04obviously, we could change that, but
  99. 3:05still like, you know, that's a lot of
  100. 3:06work.
  101. 3:06>> I did love the layout of the kitchen,
  102. 3:08though. It was very grand and very
  103. 3:10beautiful.
  104. 3:11>> Looking back at this footage, this was a
  105. 3:12nice place.
  106. 3:14>> Bro,
  107. 3:14it was nice. And it had like a little
  108. 3:17gym and like those fancy blinds that go
  109. 3:19down at the click of a button.
  110. 3:21>> a really bougie building, which I didn't
  111. 3:22I'm not like I don't really want to live
  112. 3:24in a bougie building. I just want to
  113. 3:25live in like a building that we feel
  114. 3:26like we can create our own community and
  115. 3:28stuff. And I just felt like kind of out
  116. 3:29of place there.
  117. 3:30>> Okay, well, now for apartment number
  118. 3:32three. And we were very excited about
  119. 3:35this one because on the listing photos,
  120. 3:36it looks so gorgeous. I really love
  121. 3:38windows that look like this with the
  122. 3:40black window panes. It also had a blue
  123. 3:42kitchen, which was really cool.
  124. 3:43>> And the herring Is it herringbone
  125. 3:45floors?
  126. 3:45>> Yeah, yeah, yeah.
  127. 3:46>> The herringbone floors were [music]
  128. 3:48divine. I love this place.
  129. 3:50>> Well, this was listed as a two-bedroom
  130. 3:52and we got there it was actually a one
  131. 3:54bedroom and they said, "Oh, if you want
  132. 3:55it to be a two bedroom, you can like put
  133. 3:57up a flex wall in the kitchen living
  134. 3:59room area." I was like, "Well, no, I
  135. 4:00don't want to do that."
  136. 4:01>> Donnie, fix this.
  137. 4:02>> Come on, Donnie, fix this. But, you know
  138. 4:04what? It was still really cute and
  139. 4:06actually had a lot of outdoor space. I
  140. 4:07think this [music] place actually had
  141. 4:09two outdoor terraces.
  142. 4:10>> perfect for, you know, our hot tub, our,
  143. 4:13you know, future skate park. It It was
  144. 4:15checking boxes for me.
  145. 4:16>> Skate ramp.
  146. 4:18But, you know what I actually really
  147. 4:19hated were the bathroom tiles in this
  148. 4:21apartment. I just really don't like
  149. 4:23that. It's like way too busy.
  150. 4:25>> And you don't make the price go down $1
  151. 4:27million. Yeah.
  152. 4:33Okay, we're here at the next apartment.
  153. 4:35I don't remember this one. I don't know
  154. 4:37what the street easy looks like, but
  155. 4:38it's going to be good. Now, apartment
  156. 4:40number four, it was near the Supreme
  157. 4:41store on Bowery. It was actually very
  158. 4:43spacious and had great lighting, but the
  159. 4:46layout was kind of funky and [music] the
  160. 4:48appliances and kitchen felt a little
  161. 4:50outdated for my cup of tea.
  162. 4:52>> Yeah, I mean, you can see we're opening
  163. 4:53up the bathroom right here. It had a
  164. 4:55little bit of the landlord special
  165. 4:56[music] going on. Like things fixtures
  166. 4:58had been painted over, some of like the
  167. 5:00tiles were pretty old, but it was a fun
  168. 5:02location and it did also have an outdoor
  169. 5:05terrace. We were really trying [music]
  170. 5:06to get a place that has a nice outdoor
  171. 5:08space cuz that was important to us.
  172. 5:10>> I don't think the footage does justice
  173. 5:12when you're in there. It's like they
  174. 5:14landlord special this place 20 times.
  175. 5:16You kind of just expect for what this
  176. 5:18was listed at that would be a little bit
  177. 5:19nicer.
  178. 5:20>> So, this [music] is from a similar unit,
  179. 5:22so you can see this place. This one was
  180. 5:24a little cuter, had like a blue kitchen
  181. 5:26and [music] had some furniture in it, so
  182. 5:27you could actually see what an apartment
  183. 5:28looked like. Actually does look very
  184. 5:30nice, but again for what these
  185. 5:31apartments were listed at, it was just
  186. 5:33[music] crazy.
  187. 5:34>> Online it was listed with a private
  188. 5:36terrace, but the terrace was actually
  189. 5:38not connected, so you had to take stairs
  190. 5:40or an elevator to get to your private
  191. 5:42terrace that was on the top floor, which
  192. 5:44like I don't know why [music] it just
  193. 5:45doesn't feel as private or your own just
  194. 5:47because it's so far away from your own
  195. 5:49unit. It was still cool, but definitely
  196. 5:51not my favorite.
  197. 5:51>> Overall, decent, but not like our dream
  198. 5:54apartment.
  199. 5:54>> Apartment number five, the brand new
  200. 5:57build that we saw. It had a gym. It had
  201. 5:59a cold plunge. It had a hot tub. It had
  202. 6:02a glass sauna.
  203. 6:03>> It is fun and nice to have amenities.
  204. 6:05So, we wanted to see everything that New
  205. 6:07York City had to offer. And as you can
  206. 6:09see, a new build is pristine. [music]
  207. 6:11They were all telling us about this
  208. 6:12Italian marble that they had imported,
  209. 6:15which is awesome and great. But at the
  210. 6:16same time, sometimes these units just
  211. 6:18feel like [music] too fancy or like
  212. 6:20maybe they're lacking a little bit of
  213. 6:22character. I know we were saying some of
  214. 6:24the other units look too old, but like I
  215. 6:25I do want my unit to look old.
  216. 6:28>> Yeah, I mean you want it to be unique.
  217. 6:29You don't want it to feel like well, 1
  218. 6:31million other people could live in a
  219. 6:33place like this. My biggest negative,
  220. 6:34besides the fact it's a beautiful
  221. 6:35[music] apartment, was the fact that it
  222. 6:37kind of reminded me of Ashley's
  223. 6:39apartment already.
  224. 6:39>> And they actually did try to show us
  225. 6:40another unit in the same building. And I
  226. 6:42did like this layout cuz this one had
  227. 6:43like a really long terrace kind of going
  228. 6:45along the full length of the apartment.
  229. 6:48But I feel like at this point we're kind
  230. 6:49of like, "Eh, I don't know how I feel
  231. 6:50about the building." The location was
  232. 6:52also pretty far away.
  233. 6:55We leaned away from this one and then
  234. 6:57decided to tour another apartment. Bring
  235. 6:59us to apartment number five, which
  236. 7:01[music] I know Kelly is looking at this
  237. 7:03footage right now. And oh my god, let me
  238. 7:06tell you, this is honestly our dream
  239. 7:08house. And I write that on the screen
  240. 7:10with a broken heart emoji.
  241. 7:12>> The one that got away. Everybody has
  242. 7:14those. But when we walked into this one,
  243. 7:16I thought this was the one. Like we were
  244. 7:19cheesing cheek to cheek.
  245. 7:21>> [music]
  246. 7:21>> Like, "Yo, imagining every possibility,
  247. 7:24the backyard." It just had amazing
  248. 7:26lighting for a first-floor unit because
  249. 7:28there was no buildings blocking the
  250. 7:29sunlight. The living room was just
  251. 7:31amazing. And the guy showing us the
  252. 7:33apartment was the chillest person ever.
  253. 7:35So, I was like, "This is the freaking
  254. 7:37one." The three floors, I think it was a
  255. 7:39three bed, three bath as well. And it
  256. 7:41came with a basement. And the basement
  257. 7:44was so crazy funky that I was so down
  258. 7:46for. I couldn't even barely stand up
  259. 7:48fully straight in it, but I was like,
  260. 7:49"Okay, podcast studio, content area,
  261. 7:52cool little office. I don't even care. I
  262. 7:54was just excited."
  263. 7:55>> No, we were so hyped. I feel like the
  264. 7:57second that we walked in, we're like,
  265. 7:58"Oh, are we literally going to get this
  266. 8:01one?" The kitchen was a little
  267. 8:03interesting, I will say. Kind of tucked
  268. 8:04away. I was a little scared of the
  269. 8:05lighting. It's really, really important
  270. 8:07for me to have good lighting in my
  271. 8:09kitchen, but I feel like it was good
  272. 8:11enough. And what really sold me is when
  273. 8:13we went upstairs, guys. I mean,
  274. 8:15obviously it had the laundry in the
  275. 8:16apartment and everything. It also had a
  276. 8:18insanely [music]
  277. 8:20gorgeous bathroom. Oh, Kelly, look at
  278. 8:22the rocks.
  279. 8:23>> Yeah, that's sort of funky.
  280. 8:24>> Yeah,
  281. 8:25>> [laughter]
  282. 8:25>> that's cute.
  283. 8:26>> And the light on the back wall.
  284. 8:27>> But guys, on the way to the bathroom,
  285. 8:28there was literally the largest closet
  286. 8:32that I have ever walked into in my
  287. 8:34entire life. And when I saw that, I was
  288. 8:36like, "Oh, this is meant for me because
  289. 8:37I need something like this." Cuz I feel
  290. 8:40[music] like I'm really struggling with
  291. 8:41my current amount of closet space. Oh my
  292. 8:43god, Kelly's literally like jaw dropped
  293. 8:45looking back at the footage right now.
  294. 8:46>> I forgot how nice that closet was. Damn
  295. 8:49it.
  296. 8:49>> Okay, spoiler alert. We didn't get that
  297. 8:51apartment. I'm so [clears throat] sad.
  298. 8:53But guys, why wouldn't we get it if we
  299. 8:54loved it and if the original asking
  300. 8:56price was, you know, negotiably in our
  301. 8:58budget? The reason why is because of the
  302. 9:01monthly. And so this happened with a
  303. 9:02handful of houses. The original budget
  304. 9:04seemed okay, but then it would literally
  305. 9:06be like, "Your common charges are $7,000
  306. 9:09a month." Why in my right mind would I
  307. 9:12pay $7,000 a month not towards my
  308. 9:14mortgage, not towards paying off the
  309. 9:16price of my house in any way, and have
  310. 9:18to pay $7,000 a month just to upkeep my
  311. 9:21apartment in this building indefinitely?
  312. 9:24No. I needed to look for apartments that
  313. 9:26had cheaper monthly, and that's
  314. 9:27something I quickly realized the more I
  315. 9:29started looking at more houses. It's
  316. 9:31also up the common charges that
  317. 9:33they have in New York City. I genuinely
  318. 9:35I just can't believe my eyes, guys.
  319. 9:37Anyways, despite the beauty of this
  320. 9:38apartment, it did actually still have
  321. 9:40cockroaches even during our tour, so
  322. 9:42maybe we dodged a bullet.
  323. 9:45>> Oh, no, really?
  324. 9:46>> So, that's alive.
  325. 9:47>> Well, what is that?
  326. 9:49>> I don't know.
  327. 9:54>> [laughter]
  328. 9:54>> Now for apartment number six. Oh, Kelly
  329. 9:57wasn't even there when I toured this
  330. 9:58one. I don't even know if you've seen
  331. 9:59this footage.
  332. 10:00>> I hate it, though.
  333. 10:01>> Are you serious?
  334. 10:02>> I hate this apartment cuz I wasn't
  335. 10:03there.
  336. 10:04>> Oh, okay. Well, I went with my mom and
  337. 10:05Amber to tour some apartments while you
  338. 10:07were out of town. And so, this one's
  339. 10:09actually right in Chelsea, like on the
  340. 10:11High Line.
  341. 10:12>> it now. I love Chelsea.
  342. 10:13>> Oh my gosh. Okay, this one was really
  343. 10:15artistically done, very minimalist, and
  344. 10:19I guess the view of the High Line
  345. 10:20>> Wait, this one's awesome.
  346. 10:21>> What?
  347. 10:22>> This view is sick. You never told me
  348. 10:24about this one.
  349. 10:25>> I told you.
  350. 10:25>> You lied to me.
  351. 10:26>> I did not.
  352. 10:27>> You sleep on a bed of lies.
  353. 10:29>> OMG. Okay, for me personally, I know you
  354. 10:32love Chelsea, but I don't want to live
  355. 10:34like that close to the High Line. I'm
  356. 10:35sorry.
  357. 10:36>> No, I'm just looking at I'm just looking
  358. 10:38at the apartment right now. Hey, this
  359. 10:39one's pretty nice.
  360. 10:40>> Pretty nice, but okay, here's my con is
  361. 10:42that like you can totally tell this is a
  362. 10:44dude living here. Like this is a dude
  363. 10:45apartment.
  364. 10:46>> Looks pretty good to me.
  365. 10:47>> It was nice, but the bedrooms were kind
  366. 10:49of dark. It was just a little bit boyish
  367. 10:50for me, and I I didn't love the area.
  368. 10:52So, unfortunately, I don't know if we
  369. 10:54can get that one, bro. Sorry.
  370. 10:56>> That's all right.
  371. 10:57>> Okay, well, then we toured a similar No,
  372. 10:59actually not similar unit in the same
  373. 11:01building. This is apartment number
  374. 11:02seven. It was a garden unit, and this
  375. 11:05was just super dark. But the one pro,
  376. 11:08look at this is the biggest door, the
  377. 11:10widest door I've ever seen in my entire
  378. 11:12life.
  379. 11:12>> Woah, this is the biggest door I've ever
  380. 11:14seen.
  381. 11:15>> Oh, wow.
  382. 11:16>> It's like literally the widest door I've
  383. 11:18ever seen.
  384. 11:19>> By Amber.
  385. 11:20>> What?
  386. 11:21>> Yeah, very well decorated. It was just a
  387. 11:23really kind of weird and interesting
  388. 11:25layout where like this was the closet,
  389. 11:27the bathroom That's a nice bathroom, but
  390. 11:29it was just weird. So, let's let's go
  391. 11:31on. Oh, actually wait, look at the
  392. 11:32terrace. Very [music] gorgeous.
  393. 11:33>> This does look like a man cave.
  394. 11:35>> Yeah, not for me. Sorry.
  395. 11:37>> Apartment number eight. It was a fifth
  396. 11:39floor walk-up, but Ashley, this
  397. 11:41apartment had a chokehold on Ashley.
  398. 11:43>> I literally want this apartment so bad.
  399. 11:45Are you guys seeing this? It is so
  400. 11:47gorgeous. Obviously, there's the one
  401. 11:48glaring con of it being a walk-up, but
  402. 11:51it's so beautiful. It has like painted
  403. 11:54brick walls. It has such a huge,
  404. 11:57spacious living room. They really staged
  405. 12:00the apartment nicely.
  406. 12:01>> The exposed brick, the hardwood floors.
  407. 12:04This one definitely had the most
  408. 12:05character and also just like the same
  409. 12:07similar vibes in the way they staged it
  410. 12:09really looked like how we'd want to
  411. 12:11stage our apartment.
  412. 12:12>> Mhm. I feel like it looked like I
  413. 12:13decorated it. And also, outside the
  414. 12:15window, they had these beautiful trees
  415. 12:18blooming with these white flowers. It
  416. 12:20was awesome. And then had a really kind
  417. 12:21of fun, you know, little laundry room
  418. 12:23and bathroom with some fun tiling. And
  419. 12:25then I guess kind of a con is that it
  420. 12:27was a one-bedroom. I feel like we're
  421. 12:28more so looking for [music] a
  422. 12:30two-bedroom, but it did have an amazing
  423. 12:33closet.
  424. 12:34>> I mean, they took an entire bedroom and
  425. 12:35made it a closet.
  426. 12:36>> Oh, so maybe it was a two-bed.
  427. 12:38>> It was a two-bed.
  428. 12:39>> Oh, interesting. Okay, but I'm still
  429. 12:41messing with having a huge closet
  430. 12:43because for me, I'm like, this is
  431. 12:44perfect. Look at all the light. There's
  432. 12:46a window in the closet. Okay, kind of
  433. 12:48weird when you're changing. Whatever,
  434. 12:50I'll be the naked neighbor.
  435. 12:51>> I was walking around this apartment
  436. 12:52thinking, "Oh, where does my stuff go?"
  437. 12:54I was thinking, "This is so Ashley."
  438. 12:56Cody though, I was like, "Hey, can we
  439. 12:57get a little sprinkle of me in there?" I
  440. 12:58still really, really like this one. And
  441. 13:00I didn't really care that we only had
  442. 13:02one bedroom because the living room was
  443. 13:05so amazing.
  444. 13:06>> Anyways, I guess moving on to apartment
  445. 13:08number nine. This apartment was a
  446. 13:10multi-story family home. You could tell
  447. 13:12that family lived here and that they had
  448. 13:15babies and there was room for all the
  449. 13:17baby stuff and the diapers and
  450. 13:19everything. But, it was really fun. Very
  451. 13:21fun and very colorful. They had a whole
  452. 13:24room that was painted bright red that
  453. 13:26had all of their
  454. 13:27baby belongings in it. Um and a lot of I
  455. 13:30think this is like the IKEA PAX storage
  456. 13:32system. Like I think I literally
  457. 13:33recognize it. But, there were also
  458. 13:35actually a lot of stairs throughout the
  459. 13:37entire house. And I felt like there was
  460. 13:39the best lighting in [music] the
  461. 13:40bedrooms, which was nice, but I actually
  462. 13:43wish there was better lighting in the
  463. 13:44kitchen. Uh but, it did have some cool
  464. 13:46features like this right here, a little
  465. 13:48skylight. [music] So fun.
  466. 13:49>> Yeah, this was a five-bedroom apartment.
  467. 13:52No, really? For the same price. It had a
  468. 13:54similar price to all the other
  469. 13:55apartments we were seeing, so it was
  470. 13:56really [music] interesting to see wow,
  471. 13:57so much space, but also the layout was
  472. 14:00very like room, hallway, room, hallway.
  473. 14:02The lighting was decent, but overall it
  474. 14:04was such a vertical house that I felt
  475. 14:06like it wasn't maybe the one for, you
  476. 14:08know, just two of us living there. But,
  477. 14:09I did ask the realtor, "Does the cat
  478. 14:11come with the place? If so, we'll sign
  479. 14:13right now."
  480. 14:13>> So funny. But, this one was pretty I
  481. 14:16feel like you guys can tell something
  482. 14:17like this has to be in a further away
  483. 14:19location just because of the size of the
  484. 14:21house and how many bedrooms. And I feel
  485. 14:23like it's just too far for us, so we're
  486. 14:24not too sure about this one.
  487. 14:26>> My new home. I love just going right
  488. 14:28into that house.
  489. 14:28>> Oh, really? Pretty epic.
  490. 14:30>> [music]
  491. 14:33>> Magic. Sounds magical.
  492. 14:37>> [music]
  493. 14:42[music]
  494. 14:50[music]
  495. 14:50>> Good, bro.
  496. 14:51>> Yeah, they're hella good.
  497. 14:53>> Hella good.
  498. 14:54>> [music]
  499. 14:58>> Okay, then guys, it was time to tour
  500. 14:59apartment number [music] eight again.
  501. 15:01So, actually in the prior video it was
  502. 15:03just Amber and I touring, and then I
  503. 15:06loved this apartment so much that I had
  504. 15:08to bring Kelly to come see it in person.
  505. 15:10[music] So, this is him live going up
  506. 15:13all five flights of stairs, and then
  507. 15:16seeing the gorgeous walk-up.
  508. 15:18>> That living room was just as beautiful
  509. 15:20in person than the photos. The lighting,
  510. 15:22didn't matter what time of day we showed
  511. 15:24up, it was perfect. The kitchen with the
  512. 15:25butcher block
  513. 15:26>> Butcher's block countertops.
  514. 15:29Stunning.
  515. 15:30>> I really like a butcher block for some
  516. 15:31reason.
  517. 15:32>> The furniture is gorgeous. I'm like, can
  518. 15:33we keep all this furniture? Look at the
  519. 15:35butter yellow coffee table.
  520. 15:37>> You know Ashley's happy because she's
  521. 15:39like moving her feet.
  522. 15:40>> Stop!
  523. 15:41>> She's dangling her feet like a little
  524. 15:43schoolgirl that's happy or something.
  525. 15:44>> I'm dead. Okay, well, you caught me
  526. 15:46there. Now, the next apartment is a
  527. 15:47little different from that apartment.
  528. 15:50>> Apartment number 10, starting off with
  529. 15:52the spacious and empty backyard. This
  530. 15:55one was immediately as I walked in, a
  531. 15:57hell no.
  532. 15:58>> [laughter]
  533. 15:59>> I don't know about you, Ashley, but I
  534. 16:01remember walking into this and they were
  535. 16:02like just glazing it on StreetEasy like,
  536. 16:05it's so bright and spacious. It was dark
  537. 16:08as like a bat cave.
  538. 16:09>> Yeah.
  539. 16:10>> It and the the realtor I remember was
  540. 16:11just hyping up the whole time like, I
  541. 16:13know this is amazing place. Like, I know
  542. 16:15you guys want it. And I was like, I
  543. 16:16don't know if I want this one.
  544. 16:18>> It was one of those tours where now
  545. 16:20you're stuck in the tour where you have
  546. 16:22to like, you know, you got to go in
  547. 16:23every room and like look around and be
  548. 16:24like, oh, okay, yeah, we'll think about
  549. 16:26it. But, the second you walk in, you're
  550. 16:27like, I know I don't want this house.
  551. 16:29[music] So, I feel bad cuz I don't want
  552. 16:30to waste the realtor's time. So, it was
  553. 16:32a quick tour for us. I feel like we were
  554. 16:33in there for like 5 minutes and then
  555. 16:34we're like, okay, thanks, we got to go.
  556. 16:36All of the kitchen cabinets had no
  557. 16:38handles, so he was like, got to install
  558. 16:39your own handles. Um, and then there was
  559. 16:41even one room that was really dark
  560. 16:44because it didn't have windows or does
  561. 16:46have a window.
  562. 16:47>> I don't know, but these videos you're
  563. 16:48watching is not giving justice to how
  564. 16:51dark the living room was for like a
  565. 16:52really bright day outside.
  566. 16:54>> You know, we're looking for the perfect
  567. 16:55place and it just wasn't perfect. Okay,
  568. 16:58and that brings us to a very [music]
  569. 16:59sophisticated apartment, apartment
  570. 17:02number 11, which I call the fancy
  571. 17:04[music] mom vibe apartment because it's
  572. 17:07just simply fancy mom vibe. It has the
  573. 17:09herring [music] bone floors, but
  574. 17:10everything is kind of cool toned. It has
  575. 17:13white marble and it has a very very huge
  576. 17:16and shiny silver chandelier on the
  577. 17:18ceiling. Apparently a couple NYU
  578. 17:21students had lived here prior. So
  579. 17:23bougie. I'm really jealous of of people
  580. 17:26that got to have something like this as
  581. 17:27their dorm. It was a two-bedroom and was
  582. 17:30very gorgeous, but I think it was just a
  583. 17:32little too fancy for us.
  584. 17:34>> This one was like I don't even know. It
  585. 17:36was very similar to Amber and Ashley's
  586. 17:38apartment already in a different way,
  587. 17:40like a brand new version, and just
  588. 17:41didn't feel like I just felt like so
  589. 17:43uninspired. I don't know. What am I
  590. 17:45supposed to do in this place? It's yeah,
  591. 17:46it's really nice and and fancy, but I
  592. 17:48would feel bad even putting like a nail
  593. 17:49on the wall. And I think it was a little
  594. 17:51bit crooked.
  595. 17:51>> Yeah, you see the water bottle just
  596. 17:53rolling straight into that corner? Like
  597. 17:55that whole bedroom was made at an angle.
  598. 17:57It was so weird for something so fancy.
  599. 17:59And then I also just I didn't like the
  600. 18:01the bathroom tiles. I'm sorry. Sometimes
  601. 18:03the tiles really get me and then I'm
  602. 18:04like,
  603. 18:05once again, I just don't know if it's
  604. 18:06for us. So we decided to tour yet
  605. 18:09another apartment. This is apartment
  606. 18:11number 12.
  607. 18:12>> Now this was a multi-floor apartment. It
  608. 18:14was almost like the last apartment we
  609. 18:16saw, but multi-floored and way bigger.
  610. 18:18Yeah, it was a little bit deeper from
  611. 18:19the city, but it was really nice.
  612. 18:21Honestly, if we didn't care about the
  613. 18:23character or the charm of the apartment,
  614. 18:25this one kind of checked all of our
  615. 18:26boxes with outdoor space, with a really
  616. 18:28nice kitchen, really nice lighting.
  617. 18:30>> It had a pantry. Do you know how cool it
  618. 18:31is to have a pantry? Like wow. And yeah,
  619. 18:34it had a lot of stairs, a lot of bright
  620. 18:36windows.
  621. 18:37>> It was a three-story apartment including
  622. 18:39this terrace, which was like a 360 view.
  623. 18:42A little bit windy up there, but I
  624. 18:44didn't care. It was really nice.
  625. 18:47>> [laughter]
  626. 18:48>> Now apartment number 13, actually the
  627. 18:50same building, but this was the garden
  628. 18:53unit, and it was actually really
  629. 18:54gorgeous. A lot of natural light and the
  630. 18:56kitchen was huge. And it was kind of
  631. 18:58actually like, maybe because it was
  632. 19:00white tiling, but it was blinding in the
  633. 19:02backyard.
  634. 19:03>> It looks obviously again fine on the
  635. 19:04video, but like when I walked into this
  636. 19:07unit, I was like, I can't even see. It
  637. 19:10was blindingly bright like a lime zone
  638. 19:13and just bang, so painful on the eyes.
  639. 19:16So, I that actually kind of threw me off
  640. 19:18from the apartment initially, which is
  641. 19:20really funny. But, as you can see, it is
  642. 19:21a pretty gorgeous apartment. Love when
  643. 19:23the apartment has stairs. Like, I'm so
  644. 19:25obsessed when you can go up and down the
  645. 19:26stairs. Kelly and I both come from
  646. 19:28suburban areas, so going up and down the
  647. 19:30stairs feels so homey. This unit also
  648. 19:33had some very gorgeous bedrooms,
  649. 19:34bathrooms, you know, it was a nice spot.
  650. 19:36It was a nice spot.
  651. 19:37>> know why, I just love backyards. Like,
  652. 19:38you don't know, maybe I could build you
  653. 19:39know, anything back there, which would
  654. 19:41be amazing. So, this one is definitely
  655. 19:43still like on the list for me. So, I
  656. 19:45guess like we'll have to wait and see
  657. 19:46how they build it out.
  658. 19:47>> Number 14. I'm going to preface this by
  659. 19:50saying that Kelly hates this apartment.
  660. 19:53I'm also going to say that this
  661. 19:54apartment is located on St. Marks. So,
  662. 19:57if you're from New York, you know, it's
  663. 19:59a crazy street. That's all I can say. I
  664. 20:01feel like anyone, if they told me I live
  665. 20:03on St. Marks, I'd be like,
  666. 20:04honestly, like I'm so sorry.
  667. 20:06>> [laughter]
  668. 20:06>> Like, that's crazy.
  669. 20:08>> The floors were so squeaky.
  670. 20:16And Ashley was like, it's fine.
  671. 20:18>> Well, okay. I was kind of thinking, you
  672. 20:21know, it's on St. Marks. Is that kind of
  673. 20:23haunted? Yes. Is it kind of fun? Maybe.
  674. 20:26Maybe not though. But, I really liked
  675. 20:29how bright this apartment was. The
  676. 20:30lighting was, you can't lie, was
  677. 20:32>> [music]
  678. 20:32>> really good. But, yeah, the floors were
  679. 20:35incredibly loud. So, that was kind of a
  680. 20:37con. But, you know, had a little nice
  681. 20:39shared outdoor space and Kelly loved it.
  682. 20:41Kelly, I'm still open to getting this
  683. 20:43one. What do you think?
  684. 20:44>> Oh, no, bro.
  685. 20:46>> Let's move on to apartment [music]
  686. 20:48number 15, Kelly.
  687. 20:52>> Look at this place, guys. Let me take
  688. 20:54this from here, Ashley. Look at the
  689. 20:56kitchen. Beautiful, beautiful wood,
  690. 20:58brand new build. Look at this backyard,
  691. 21:00a two-story backyard. This has never
  692. 21:02been done, ever, in New York City. A
  693. 21:04two-story backyard, and look at it. Look
  694. 21:06at me. I'm so happy. I'm peaking right
  695. 21:08now. I'm peaking with joy. I'm thinking
  696. 21:10of all the possibilities of where we can
  697. 21:12put the hot tub. We can put the skate
  698. 21:13park. We can have the outdoor furniture.
  699. 21:15We can have the fireplace. We can have
  700. 21:17pull-up bars. Oh my god, I am in love
  701. 21:21with this apartment. I also really like
  702. 21:23the color of the outside. I just thought
  703. 21:24it was like really interesting. And I
  704. 21:26felt like for a new build, this had a
  705. 21:27lot of character, which we were really
  706. 21:29like determined to find. Look at Oh my
  707. 21:31god. Oh my god. My my legs are shaking.
  708. 21:33This was the basement, which I'm saying
  709. 21:35with air quotes because it had an
  710. 21:37outdoor space. Like it literally was
  711. 21:39below zero floor, but look how cozy it
  712. 21:41was. I was thinking of Christmas time. I
  713. 21:43was thinking of Santa coming down here,
  714. 21:45putting gifts underneath my tree. It was
  715. 21:47just giving ultimate vibes. I was
  716. 21:49thinking, "Wow, look at this wall.
  717. 21:50Perfect for photo shoots for Nami."
  718. 21:51>> I just wish there was like one master
  719. 21:54bathroom or bedroom. I need more sink.
  720. 21:56Like I need a double sink. I need more
  721. 21:58room on the side of the sink. I need one
  722. 22:00of the bedrooms to be bigger at least.
  723. 22:01Instead, they're both like the same size
  724. 22:03and they're kind of small. For
  725. 22:04>> I'll build it. I'll build it.
  726. 22:06>> want to be thinking about knocking down
  727. 22:07a wall in a brand new build of a
  728. 22:09building.
  729. 22:10>> It had I mean, it really did check a lot
  730. 22:11of boxes, too, because it had crazy
  731. 22:13outdoor space, had a lot of space in
  732. 22:14general, had stairs, had really nice
  733. 22:16floorings. Everything was brand new.
  734. 22:17>> And you know what else it had that they
  735. 22:19said we weren't able to tour that day? A
  736. 22:21garage. However, we did get to see a
  737. 22:24next-door unit. So, this is apartment
  738. 22:26number 16. And this one is a one-bed,
  739. 22:29but has a very similar layout. Just a
  740. 22:32much bigger bedroom. And I did like the
  741. 22:33bigger bedroom, but I feel like
  742. 22:35>> Kelly was not vibing with this one.
  743. 22:36>> No, I still like this, but I feel like
  744. 22:37at this point in our search, we cannot
  745. 22:39settle for less. We might as well go
  746. 22:40big. That's how we That's how we live
  747. 22:42our life. We go big or go home. This was
  748. 22:44like the little bro unit, and I couldn't
  749. 22:46[music] live with myself if we got this
  750. 22:47one.
  751. 22:48>> Now for apartment number 17, which when
  752. 22:51you walk in, actually puts you directly
  753. 22:53into a hallway. So, when I first walked
  754. 22:55in, I was like, "Wait, what is this?"
  755. 22:57But you turn the corner, and this place
  756. 22:59was insanely gorgeous. The bathroom is
  757. 23:02really, honestly one of the best rooms I
  758. 23:05feel like in this house. Are you seeing
  759. 23:06this?
  760. 23:06>> I mean, it looks like heaven took a
  761. 23:08and put it in that bathroom.
  762. 23:09>> This place is just absolutely bathed in
  763. 23:12natural light. There are windows around
  764. 23:14the entire house. It's so gorgeous. The
  765. 23:17kitchen had the most beautiful warm wood
  766. 23:20color. I really love the wooden floors
  767. 23:22as well. The [music] master bedroom was
  768. 23:24insanely huge. And I think aside from
  769. 23:27the bathroom, the coolest thing about
  770. 23:28the house was this terrace.
  771. 23:30>> I mean, this wasn't even a terrace. This
  772. 23:32was like a whole backyard just in the
  773. 23:34sky. I'm lost for words just looking at
  774. 23:36it because it was ginormous. It was
  775. 23:38almost bigger than the entire apartment.
  776. 23:40>> Okay, how do you feel?
  777. 23:41>> I feel now I feel pulled apart. I don't
  778. 23:44know. They're both so nice and like It's
  779. 23:46like we have It's like we don't even
  780. 23:47have to decide between those two, but
  781. 23:48I'm like, "Which one do I want?" The
  782. 23:50second one is like ready. But the first
  783. 23:52one has that like has that appeal. I
  784. 23:54don't know why cuz it's so unique. It
  785. 23:56has stairs. There's no stairs in the
  786. 23:57second one.
  787. 23:58>> Mhm.
  788. 23:59>> I'd be I mean, I'd be stoked to live in
  789. 24:00either one. I'm not complaining.
  790. 24:02>> Okay, well guys, literally the next day
  791. 24:04we decided we needed to tour this
  792. 24:05apartment again. Brought in the big
  793. 24:07guns, Luke and Amber.
  794. 24:09>> Yes, these are professional helpers. And
  795. 24:10I think they co-signed to this space for
  796. 24:12us. They both were just obsessed with
  797. 24:14the bathroom, the lighting, the balcony.
  798. 24:18>> Wow. What the What the This is the
  799. 24:21nicest room in the house.
  800. 24:22>> Bro, literally.
  801. 24:23>> look at that.
  802. 24:25>> Yeah, it's really cute. And a huge ass
  803. 24:27shower.
  804. 24:28>> They eat it. Why do they eat so hard in
  805. 24:30this specific room? I love this place. I
  806. 24:32feel like very nice.
  807. 24:34>> Okay, I'm like
  808. 24:37>> This apartment to me really has no cons.
  809. 24:41Like there's nothing that's really
  810. 24:42missing. I guess it doesn't have stairs,
  811. 24:44but because the layout was so homey, it
  812. 24:46didn't didn't really miss that feeling.
  813. 24:47>> Upon the second tour, I really want to
  814. 24:49make sure I got a good video for you
  815. 24:51guys. So, check out my gimbal shots as I
  816. 24:53walk around the whole apartment. It does
  817. 24:55still have a very interesting kind of
  818. 24:57U-shaped [music]
  819. 24:58layout, but I love the character in this
  820. 25:01house. Again, they did an amazing job
  821. 25:02staging it. It looks like how I would
  822. 25:04decorate the house. It had a lot of
  823. 25:06storage, and it even had a gym.
  824. 25:10>> [screaming]
  825. 25:11>> This was my dream gym. Can you tell by
  826. 25:12my face? Like, obviously this is my
  827. 25:14dream gym.
  828. 25:14>> On to apartment number 15, yet again,
  829. 25:17the garage.
  830. 25:18>> This was the garage space that you guys
  831. 25:20didn't get to see, but this two-car
  832. 25:21garage was going to come with the unit.
  833. 25:24And I was kind of envisioning my entire
  834. 25:26like dream office build in there. And
  835. 25:28yeah, as you can tell, I'm pointing at
  836. 25:29everything. I'm like, "Yo, desk here,
  837. 25:31two-car garage." Oh, I'm thinking monkey
  838. 25:33bars.
  839. 25:35My mind was really just getting creative
  840. 25:36with it.
  841. 25:37>> I just needed to see this kitchen again
  842. 25:39because it's so gorgeous. The only thing
  843. 25:41that was bothering me is I feel like the
  844. 25:43windows are tinted just a little bit
  845. 25:46blue. Guys, the stairs, I literally love
  846. 25:50the layout of this house so much. It's
  847. 25:52so cozy.
  848. 25:53>> Wait, this is so cute as the living
  849. 25:55room?
  850. 25:55>> Mhm.
  851. 25:56>> Keep it going.
  852. 25:56>> Oh.
  853. 25:57>> Um,
  854. 25:57>> [laughter]
  855. 25:58>> where else can we place?
  856. 25:59>> We're a bit split on some of our
  857. 26:00options. Definitely let us know down
  858. 26:03below, guys, which apartment is your
  859. 26:05favorite because we have [music] a big
  860. 26:07decision to make, cuz who knows how long
  861. 26:09we'll end up living here together.
  862. 26:11>> They're still on the table besides the
  863. 26:13St. Mark's one. That one sucks, bro.
  864. 26:15>> Wait, come on. That's like my top
  865. 26:16choice.
  866. 26:17>> Okay, turn off this recording.
  867. 26:18>> [laughter]
  868. 26:19>> Okay, no, for real, guys, let us know
  869. 26:20which apartment was your favorite, and
  870. 26:22we're so excited to continue our moving
  871. 26:24journey with you.
  872. 26:26>> Bye.
  873. 26:26>> Love you guys. From Ashley
  874. 26:28>> and Kelly.
  875. 26:29>> Bye.
