We made Spider-Man Web ! #Experiment — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:01We need to get some of this next time we
- 0:04make one of these movies.
- 0:05>> Come, let's help Spider-Man. For that,
- 0:07there are two conditions. The material
- 0:09that's coming out should be a liquid. It
- 0:10should solidify very quickly after
- 0:12coming out, like a spider web. For that,
- 0:15let's take some thinner
- 0:17and add Thermocol to it.
- 0:21Thermocol is made of polystyrene. Here,
- 0:24thinner acts as a solvent and dissolves
- 0:26Thermocol. This mixture is not that
- 0:28sticky, so we're going to add some glue
- 0:30that they use to stick mobile displays.
- 0:32Here's the glue.
- 0:34Let's add it here.
- 0:39>> [music]
- 0:41>> Okay, all set. Let's test it.
- 0:53This glue is made of thermoplastic
- 0:55polyurethane. It consists of long
- 0:57polymer bonds. It has a highly adhesive
- 0:59nature. So, when I spray this mixture
- 1:01onto the light, thinner evaporates
- 1:02quickly, but these polymer chains bond
- 1:04with Thermocol to form the spider
- 1:06web-like structure. If you like this
- 1:08video, comment Spider-Man and share this
- 1:10video with your fellow Spideys.
