3. 0:09I didn't know I was taking steroids
4. 0:10right you've always said that you didn't
5. 0:12know that you were taking steroids but
6. 0:14you should have asked more questions
7. 0:16right folks out there who are clearly
8. 0:18who prefer to watch athletes in their
9. 0:21natural gifts if you will they say wait
10. 0:24a minute we're talking about an athlete
11. 0:25somebody who checks everything every
12. 0:28item that they eat and drink and so how
13. 0:32was it going through that in a position
14. 0:34where you where you were trusting
15. 0:36someone else to give you something that
16. 0:39was going into your body right well I
17. 0:40mean I I can understand where people
18. 0:42will ask questions and when you get to a
19. 0:44certain level of sport of being a
20. 0:47celebrity you have to have people around
21. 0:50you whom you absolutely trust you can't
22. 0:52do everything yourself or it would just
23. 0:55be so difficult and I got caught up in
24. 0:57the situation where I had people around
25. 0:58me who I trusted who I thought would
26. 1:01absolutely never do anything to harm me
27. 1:03who had my best interest at heart um but
28. 1:06I've never been one to to point the
29. 1:08blame I'm I'm not I I didn't ask
30. 1:10questions I made the choice to lie you
31. 1:13know I'm not you'll never read anything
32. 1:16or hear anything that I say or I'm like
33. 1:18this that that's not the case I made the
34. 1:20choice to even though you get a feeling
35. 1:22in your gut that something's not right I
36. 1:24made the choice to kind of ignore it and
37. 1:27because of that um and because when I
38. 1:30was shown by the federal investigators
39. 1:33this
40. 1:34this um certain substance in the blink
41. 1:37of an eye I thought about all of the
42. 1:39hard work that I had put in over years
43. 1:41and years I thought about the life that
44. 1:43I was living my family was living and I
45. 1:45didn't want to give that up and so in
46. 1:47the blink of an eye I decided to tell a
47. 1:49lie and so it's what I tell people
48. 1:51particularly young people now when
49. 1:53you're encountering tough decisions in
50. 1:55your life take a break take a step back
51. 1:58before you make a rush decision consult
52. 2:01somebody who has real life experience
53. 2:03who's going to give it to you straight
54. 2:05how does it feel though uh to go through
55. 2:09all of this and for people to say well
56. 2:12you know what she really wasn't that
57. 2:14fast people know you know I think most
58. 2:17people that care be care about me that
59. 2:20know me that love me know the truth and
60. 2:22that I'm at a point where that's what's
61. 2:23important to me I understand that point
62. 2:26but isn't it still though for you a
63. 2:29competitor on the inside that a question
64. 2:31of of I think I would have still won is
65. 2:35different from I know I won I know I
66. 2:37would have still
67. 2:39won there's no flinching to that answer
68. 2:41at all
