  1. 0:00not all wardrobe pieces are created
  2. 0:02equal some are worth investing in whilst
  3. 0:04others don't require a hefty price tag
  4. 0:07and when I say invest I don't mean spend
  5. 0:10a whole month's paycheck it's about
  6. 0:12finding quality within your budget and
  7. 0:15let's not also forget shopping pre-loved
  8. 0:17because there are so many great deals to
  9. 0:20be found there too in this video I'll
  10. 0:22also be styling a few pieces from IDE
  11. 0:24deal a brand that makes beautiful
  12. 0:26Diamond jewelry and some of my everyday
  13. 0:29favorite
  14. 0:30I've said it before and I will say it
  15. 0:32again accessories are more important
  16. 0:36than the clothes they are what turn
  17. 0:38clothes into an outfit and one category
  18. 0:42I'm always happy to spend a little bit
  19. 0:44more on belts not all my belts are
  20. 0:47expensive in fact the one that I'm
  21. 0:49wearing now is actually this incredible
  22. 0:52leather one from a market in Italy but I
  23. 0:55have found that last year the few that I
  24. 0:58did spend a little bit more money on
  25. 1:00just made my outfits so much better side
  26. 1:04note someone asked for a belt video and
  27. 1:07whilst this isn't my full collection I'm
  28. 1:09just going to show you some of my
  29. 1:11favorites I have to start with the dean
  30. 1:13Holly Hawk snakes skin belt my most worn
  31. 1:17belt of last year I almost feel bad
  32. 1:19showing this to you again because I'm
  33. 1:21sure you must be sick of seeing it I
  34. 1:23just think it instantly elevates any
  35. 1:25outfit and honestly just give me one in
  36. 1:28every color because they come in so so
  37. 1:30many different leathers and Golds and
  38. 1:31Silvers and just one of each would be
  39. 1:34great on the opposite end of the scale
  40. 1:36my Isabelle Morant is it pley is that
  41. 1:39how you pronounce it it's l e CCE I
  42. 1:42never know how to say it and I've had
  43. 1:43this belt for years this is like a super
  44. 1:46understated elegant belt like I said I
  45. 1:49bought it years ago when I was living in
  46. 1:51Sydney so it must have been like four or
  47. 1:555 years ago now maybe and it's just
  48. 1:57perfect for those like minimal luxury
  49. 2:00looks next I have this beautiful leather
  50. 2:02belt that I got from a boutique in IA I
  51. 2:05love purchasing one of a kind pieces
  52. 2:08like this this came from a specialist
  53. 2:11like leather shop in IA and the owner of
  54. 2:14the shop this like very sweet old man he
  55. 2:17even repolished it and res shined this
  56. 2:19belt before I bought it and it's just
  57. 2:22those small touches those details you
  58. 2:25know that so much love went into a piece
  59. 2:28like this which makes me love it more as
  60. 2:31well and then lastly this studded belt
  61. 2:34from black and brown London which is
  62. 2:36another piece that I haven't stopped
  63. 2:38wearing lately it is this amazing thick
  64. 2:41leather belt I think the quality from
  65. 2:44black and brown is so good I've got
  66. 2:45quite a few of their belts now the
  67. 2:47stitching is Flawless and I just love
  68. 2:51these like giant studs on it I think
  69. 2:52it's super cool and it really makes a
  70. 2:55statement for my very simple outfits
  71. 2:58another accessory that I think is is
  72. 2:59worth investing in is a good pair of
  73. 3:03sturdy sunglasses I don't even mean a
  74. 3:06pair of like high-end designer
  75. 3:09sunglasses even you know rayb band which
  76. 3:11is like quite a good mid-range price
  77. 3:14I've got a pair of rayb bands that I've
  78. 3:16had since I was in my teenage years I
  79. 3:20think I was 15 when I bought them I was
  80. 3:22going to say and they still work
  81. 3:23obviously they still work I mean you
  82. 3:25know they're still a great pair of
  83. 3:26sunglasses that have lasted me 16 years
  84. 3:29you can just tell like the weight of the
  85. 3:32plastic and the lenses and the hinges
  86. 3:35are so much better than like a cheap
  87. 3:37sort of like flimsy pair of sunglasses I
  88. 3:40also would not go trendy with sunglasses
  89. 3:43I learned that the hard way when I
  90. 3:45bought these Dior ones years and years
  91. 3:48ago do you guys remember the craze of
  92. 3:51these sunglasses to be fair in my
  93. 3:53defense I was in my early 20s so I was
  94. 3:56still learning I was still experimenting
  95. 3:59but now I mean I would never wear these
  96. 4:01anymore now because they're just so
  97. 4:03Trend Le I think just get a pair that
  98. 4:07suit your face forget about the trends
  99. 4:09something that will suit your face will
  100. 4:11stand the test of time because it's
  101. 4:14always going to suit you just like
  102. 4:16accessories I think your everyday
  103. 4:18jewelry is something that is worth
  104. 4:20investing in the pieces that you can
  105. 4:22wear all the time without worrying that
  106. 4:25they are going to tarnish or break I had
  107. 4:27a bit of a jewelry clear out recently L
  108. 4:30and unfortunately I had to get rid of a
  109. 4:32couple of pieces that had tarnished and
  110. 4:34it's just such a waste of money now that
  111. 4:37I think back to it I would have much
  112. 4:39rather put my money into buying one or
  113. 4:43two you know like solid gold pieces
  114. 4:46instead of cheaper ones that
  115. 4:48unfortunately I now have to get rid of
  116. 4:50you know I wear my jewelry every day
  117. 4:53when I'm sleeping when I'm showering
  118. 4:55when I'm going to the gym and I just
  119. 4:58don't have time to con ly take things on
  120. 5:00and off because you know we we have
  121. 5:02things to do okay and I think that even
  122. 5:05when my personal style evolves my
  123. 5:09jewelry pretty much always stays the
  124. 5:11same these are the pieces that evolve
  125. 5:14with me that's why I believe in buying
  126. 5:16high quality solid gold pieces that can
  127. 5:20handle being worn day in day out and
  128. 5:23won't break and won't tarnish some of my
  129. 5:26everyday pieces are from ideal and if
  130. 5:29you have watched any of my videos before
  131. 5:31this will be no surprise to you because
  132. 5:34I've been wearing them for years if
  133. 5:35you're looking for jewelry that is
  134. 5:37elegant effortlessly Chic and made to
  135. 5:40last then I highly recommend ideal
  136. 5:43they're a family run jewelry company
  137. 5:45based in antp which is also known as The
  138. 5:48Diamond capital of the world founded by
  139. 5:51orella ciso and her brother aie even
  140. 5:54their parents help out using their
  141. 5:56Diamond expertise to do final checks on
  142. 5:59each piece in their in-house atellier
  143. 6:02you also get a certificate of
  144. 6:04authenticity with each order so you know
  145. 6:06that each piece has been quality
  146. 6:08controlled and hand checked inhouse I
  147. 6:11just think that what the brand are doing
  148. 6:13is incredible they are a 90% female run
  149. 6:17team they use lab grown diamonds for
  150. 6:19traceability and sustainability they use
  151. 6:2214 karat gold so you know your pieces
  152. 6:24are not going to fade or tarnish and
  153. 6:27their pieces are a modular concept ccept
  154. 6:30so you have one stud and multiple ways
  155. 6:33to mix and match making it easy to
  156. 6:36create unique and personal Stacks I'll
  157. 6:39show you some of my favorite Stacks that
  158. 6:41I've made over the years so firstly let
  159. 6:43me just show you these studs alone I've
  160. 6:46got one stud in the petite size and one
  161. 6:48in the medium size so that you can
  162. 6:50compare then I've added in the Lea in
  163. 6:52the first stud which is this beautiful
  164. 6:55pear diamond and I have the Uma in the
  165. 6:57second which is an really elegant
  166. 7:00teardrop shape and you can just see how
  167. 7:03impressively sparkly each diamond is
  168. 7:06they also have mini stackers which are
  169. 7:09great for more subtle everyday wear but
  170. 7:11by no means any less sparkly these are
  171. 7:14the Ray and the Gia I think they look so
  172. 7:16cute paired together and you can see how
  173. 7:19all their pieces work together to create
  174. 7:21this perfect stacking ecosystem so here
  175. 7:25I've mixed the Uma and the ray here
  176. 7:28together and then I also also have the
  177. 7:30Leah again where they stud in the middle
  178. 7:33and then the g at the end they also do
  179. 7:35necklaces and the one that you would
  180. 7:37have seen me wear time and time again in
  181. 7:39my videos is the Ava which is a pear
  182. 7:42Diamond but the one that I am currently
  183. 7:45wearing at the moment is called the
  184. 7:46Leila which is an evil eye that is the
  185. 7:51most sparkly evil eye that you will ever
  186. 7:54see it's just so beautiful you can also
  187. 7:57create a free account on ideal's site

  205. 8:45free shipping and 30-day returns thank
  206. 8:48you ideal for partnering with me on this
  207. 8:50video and for creating some of my
  208. 8:53alltime favorite jewelry Staples despite
  209. 8:56it being sunny today we are still in in
  210. 8:59the deep deep depths of winter and the
  211. 9:02only thing getting me through another
  212. 9:05few weeks of 400 p.m. sunsets are all my
  213. 9:07warm layers anything that's going to
  214. 9:09stop you from feeling like a human
  215. 9:11popsicle is worth the money first up
  216. 9:14base layers my go-to is Unico heat tech
  217. 9:18such great Staples you can wear them
  218. 9:21under anything and everything and they
  219. 9:24even do ones that have like a lower
  220. 9:26neckline so they can go completely
  221. 9:29undetected they also come in different
  222. 9:32thicknesses so the thin ones are fine
  223. 9:35for UK Winters but when I went to
  224. 9:38Finland last year yeah it was
  225. 9:42-30° basically it's the kind of cold
  226. 9:45that makes you question all of your life
  227. 9:48choices and those Ultra thick uniclo
  228. 9:51base layers were worth every penny the
  229. 9:54only thing about uniclo heat tech is
  230. 9:56that they are synthetic so if you do
  231. 9:59want to invest a bit more money I really
  232. 10:01like these Marino wool layers from CA
  233. 10:06they are really thin but really warm and
  234. 10:10I think that they're worth the money
  235. 10:12especially if you want a natural fiber
  236. 10:15that is a really good base layer Marino
  237. 10:17wool is the best I've also been living
  238. 10:21in my thick wool and Cashmere jumpers or
  239. 10:24winter some of these pieces are years
  240. 10:27old but because I invest tested in high
  241. 10:30quality ones they have lasted me and
  242. 10:33they will continue to last me for a long
  243. 10:36time but I also want to say that you
  244. 10:38know obviously I didn't go out and buy
  245. 10:41all of these all at once it took me
  246. 10:43years to build up my knitwear collection
  247. 10:47especially if you want to invest in
  248. 10:49really high quality pieces and I was
  249. 10:52very intentional about what I added and
  250. 10:55when I spent time thinking about what I
  251. 10:57actually wear what will serve me
  252. 11:00longterm and what would be worth the
  253. 11:02money so if you are working on building
  254. 11:05your wardrobe be patient with yourself
  255. 11:07it's not about rushing to have
  256. 11:09everything right now it's about curating
  257. 11:11a collection of pieces that you will
  258. 11:14love to wear for years to come basically
  259. 11:17past me made some great decisions unlike
  260. 11:20those trendy Dior sunglasses that I
  261. 11:23never want to touch again and if you're
  262. 11:25wondering how do I find high quality
  263. 11:28pieces well don't worry I've got you may
  264. 11:31I gently direct you to this video where
  265. 11:34I break it all down for you I have it
  266. 11:36linked in the description box now let's
  267. 11:39talk about coats because For the first
  268. 11:41time in my life I did not hate winter
  269. 11:44this year wild I know and I think it's
  270. 11:46because I've added some really really
  271. 11:49warm coats to my wardrobe what's that
  272. 11:52phrase there's no such thing is bad
  273. 11:54weather just bad clothing I looked it up
  274. 11:56and apparently it came from this guy
  275. 11:58called Alfred way wri and I mean just
  276. 12:01look at him smoke that pipe he
  277. 12:03definitely knows what he's talking about
  278. 12:05I live in the UK where I wear a coat
  279. 12:08like six months of the year and so coats
  280. 12:12are very very important to me so here
  281. 12:15are three which I think have just helped
  282. 12:18me survive winter firstly I have my
  283. 12:21black tailor coat and I think this is
  284. 12:23just a really great allround coat if I
  285. 12:27could only have one coat it would be
  286. 12:29this one it works with literally
  287. 12:31everything in my wardrobe it is really
  288. 12:34long I think it I just feel great when I
  289. 12:36wear it I can dress it up I can dress it
  290. 12:39down it is a mix of wool and Cashmere so
  291. 12:42it's really warm and it's just a great
  292. 12:45allrounder type of coat I think
  293. 12:47especially when your coat is basically
  294. 12:50your whole outfit during winter you have
  295. 12:52to wear something you love right and I
  296. 12:55genuinely I love this coat this is my
  297. 12:57third winter with it and and I don't see
  298. 13:00myself getting sick of it anytime soon
  299. 13:02which is great for when it's really
  300. 13:05really really really cold I have these
  301. 13:07two coats I have this long puffer this
  302. 13:10is from a Chinese brand that you
  303. 13:12probably have never heard of because I
  304. 13:14had never heard of it until I bought it
  305. 13:16but it's from a brand called bossing
  306. 13:19this is the coat that I bought to wear
  307. 13:21in Finland when it was minus 30° by the
  308. 13:24way this is what my eyelashes looked
  309. 13:26like when it was minus 30°
  310. 13:29just so you can get a sense of how cold
  311. 13:31it was this coat was so necessary I
  312. 13:34often get questions about how to style a
  313. 13:37puffer or how to wear a puffer and still
  314. 13:39look cute I'm laughing because you know
  315. 13:42I just think it is what it is it's a
  316. 13:44puffer coat I mean how cute can you
  317. 13:47really look in one you just have to
  318. 13:49embrace the puff I mean maybe look for
  319. 13:52one that has a waist belt so that you
  320. 13:54can give yourself a bit of shape when
  321. 13:56you're wearing it I would say maybe put
  322. 13:59a bit more effort into your hair and
  323. 14:01makeup or wear a slightly fancier bag
  324. 14:04with it so you can like dress it up but
  325. 14:06you know like I said it is what it is
  326. 14:09just embrace the marshmallow aesthetic
  327. 14:11and then my second Ultra warm coat is
  328. 14:15this shearing one that I got maybe 2
  329. 14:17years ago now from W concept this one is
  330. 14:21100% wool and I love that because I
  331. 14:24think most sheing coats that you see are
  332. 14:28quite a bit of synthetic so when I saw
  333. 14:31that this was 100% wool yeah I was
  334. 14:34really happy with it I always had wanted
  335. 14:36a shining coat but I didn't want a you
  336. 14:38know polyester one this is so warm it I
  337. 14:41can't wear this if it's over 5° because
  338. 14:43I genuinely get too hot I have to save
  339. 14:46this for when it's like super super cold
  340. 14:49basically invest in warm things and your
  341. 14:52future nonfrozen self will thank you
  342. 14:55shoes they carry you through life
  343. 14:57literally so if there's one category
  344. 15:00that is worth spending a little bit
  345. 15:02extra in I would say it is a comfortable
  346. 15:06pair of leather shoes when shoes are
  347. 15:08made with better materials and higher
  348. 15:11craftsmanship they will actually support
  349. 15:14your feet and they will get more
  350. 15:16comfortable the more you wear them
  351. 15:18unlike cheap plasticky shoes that seem
  352. 15:23to get worse with everywhere a well-made
  353. 15:25leather shoe will have high quality
  354. 15:28leather that softens over time you'll
  355. 15:31have proper arch support so that your
  356. 15:33feet and your legs and your back won't
  357. 15:35be aching after a a long day of walking
  358. 15:39and they'll also be more durable because
  359. 15:41what is the point of spending you know
  360. 15:43£40 on a pair of shoes that you're just
  361. 15:46going to throw away in 6 months anyway I
  362. 15:49think that if you are going to invest
  363. 15:51then again I would go classic over
  364. 15:53trendy go for Timeless Styles you know
  365. 15:56an ankle boot a Sleek loafer
  366. 15:59a simple summer sandal when I look at my
  367. 16:01collection these are the shoes that I've
  368. 16:04had for years and these are the ones
  369. 16:06that I'm going to continue wearing for
  370. 16:08years and something I do to make them
  371. 16:10last even longer I take them to the
  372. 16:13cobbler and put a sole on them as well I
  373. 16:16think this makes such a difference
  374. 16:18instead of wearing down the soles you
  375. 16:21can have your shoes last for years and
  376. 16:24years and years and I really think that
  377. 16:26there is something to be said about
  378. 16:28taking the time to take care of your
  379. 16:30things we're so used to fast fashion and
  380. 16:33everything being so disposable but when
  381. 16:36you invest in pieces you love and you
  382. 16:38take the time and effort to maintain
  383. 16:40them they reward you by lasting for
  384. 16:43years and it just feels good knowing
  385. 16:46that you're looking after what you own
  386. 16:48underwear pajamas loungewear I've kind
  387. 16:51of put all these things in one category
  388. 16:53because they all sort of serve a similar
  389. 16:56purpose that the first thing you put on
  390. 16:59and the last thing you take off and so I
  391. 17:02think they should make you feel good so
  392. 17:05first things first this is your sign to
  393. 17:08get rid of your old underwear yes the
  394. 17:11ones that have holes in the ones where
  395. 17:13the elastic is hanging on for dear life
  396. 17:16the ones you keep just in case but never
  397. 17:19actually wear just get rid of them
  398. 17:22because honestly having nice comfortable
  399. 17:26well-fitting underwear is one of those
  400. 17:30small luxuries in life that just makes
  401. 17:33your day so much better even if no one
  402. 17:35sees it you see it and you feel it and
  403. 17:39confidence all begins with that first
  404. 17:43layer if you don't know where to start I
  405. 17:45personally love organic cotton it uses
  406. 17:48less pesticides than normal cotton so
  407. 17:52it's better for like skin sensitivity I
  408. 17:55also really like tensil they're very
  409. 17:57breathable and soft and they won't make
  410. 18:00you feel like you are dying to take them
  411. 18:03off at the end of the day okay now let's
  412. 18:05talk about pajamas and loungewear and
  413. 18:07this is coming from someone who is
  414. 18:09actively trying to up their loungewear
  415. 18:12and pajama game right now a lot of my
  416. 18:16pajamas and loungewear are like old
  417. 18:18t-shirts and mismatched pajama bottoms
  418. 18:22which is fine there's nothing wrong with
  419. 18:24that if that's what you want and if
  420. 18:26that's what you're comfortable with but
  421. 18:27the thing is I I feel like there's no
  422. 18:30separation between my pajamas and my
  423. 18:33loungewear they just kind of blend into
  424. 18:35one big cozy but chaotic mess and then I
  425. 18:41kind of like just find myself wearing
  426. 18:43pajamas all day which you know whilst
  427. 18:45comfortable don't get me wrong doesn't
  428. 18:48make me feel like I've I've got my life
  429. 18:50together so I've decided that 20125 is
  430. 18:54going to be the year that I invest in
  431. 18:57better quality pajamas and loungewear
  432. 19:00I'm thinking matching pajama sets
  433. 19:03because we all know a coordinated set is
  434. 19:07the way to go it makes me feel like I
  435. 19:09know what I'm doing when I don't have a
  436. 19:12clue most of the time and soft high
  437. 19:14quality natural fibers because we don't
  438. 19:18want to be waking up in a sweaty mess in
  439. 19:20the middle of the night and then I'm
  440. 19:22also on the lookout for actual
  441. 19:24loungewear and not just old clothes my
  442. 19:27old clothes you know served me well I
  443. 19:30saved money but now I do feel like I'm
  444. 19:33ready to have some nicer loungewear
  445. 19:38things that feel good enough to wear at
  446. 19:40home and you know run around and do
  447. 19:43errands in as well at the end of the day
  448. 19:45personal style is about wearing what
  449. 19:48makes you feel like the best version of
  450. 19:51you and that's why investing in key
  451. 19:54pieces that you truly love to wear is
  452. 19:57worth it so let me show you mine and why
  453. 20:01they work for me first up jackets and
  454. 20:03Blazers a great jacket is like armor for
  455. 20:06me it instantly makes me feel strong put
  456. 20:10together and ready to take on the day
  457. 20:12I've had some of these Blazers and
  458. 20:14jackets for years and I just know that
  459. 20:16whenever I put them on I feel
  460. 20:19Unstoppable next up silk slip dresses
  461. 20:23this silk dress is my go-to for holidays
  462. 20:27and summer evenings it's it's versatile
  463. 20:29it's Timeless and it makes me feel
  464. 20:31effortlessly Chic at the time when I
  465. 20:33bought it a few years ago it was an
  466. 20:35investment it is quite a pricey item and
  467. 20:38it's not necessarily one I wear
  468. 20:41constantly but I know that when I do
  469. 20:44wear it I just feel amazing and I even
  470. 20:46found the brown polka dot version on
  471. 20:49Vinted which I remember it coming out
  472. 20:52years ago and I just thought I can't
  473. 20:54afford that right now and I found it on
  474. 20:57Vinted Last Summer and I was so excited
  475. 21:00and it's just a reminder that by
  476. 21:02shopping pre-loved you can invest in
  477. 21:04high quality pieces while still being
  478. 21:07mindful of your budget and then of
  479. 21:09course button down shirts I love my Max
  480. 21:12shirts from suzan they are amazing
  481. 21:15quality really thick organic cotton I
  482. 21:18wear them all the time and then I also
  483. 21:21have a few shirts from with nothing
  484. 21:23underneath I love their tensil shirts
  485. 21:27they're so soft and fluid and they just
  486. 21:29tuck in so easily um into jeans and you
  487. 21:33know they specialize in shirts so they
  488. 21:35really know what they're doing and
  489. 21:37finally black trousers for me these are
  490. 21:40such a backbone of my wardrobe they're
  491. 21:43the piece that ties everything together
  492. 21:46and so I'm willing to invest in quality
  493. 21:49and tailoring to make sure that they fit
  494. 21:51perfectly they make the rest of my
  495. 21:53wardrobe make sense and so for me a pair
  496. 21:56of black trousers in you know different
  497. 21:59shapes and materials is a really good
  498. 22:03investment into everything else in my
  499. 22:06wardrobe so what do I think you can save
  500. 22:08on I think the first thing that you can
  501. 22:11save on are your casual sneakers I don't
  502. 22:15think you need to spend loads on this
  503. 22:17category Adidas New Balance Converse
  504. 22:21vans on itsuka tiger I think all these
  505. 22:24Brands make such great trainers in so
  506. 22:28many different styles and colors I don't
  507. 22:31think you need to spend loads on casual
  508. 22:34trainers obviously if you are someone
  509. 22:36that loves sneakers and you know all
  510. 22:38like the latest releases then this is a
  511. 22:41completely different conversation but if
  512. 22:43you're someone like me who you know just
  513. 22:47wears their trainers very casually then
  514. 22:50yeah converse that's fine for me
  515. 22:52t-shirts and tank tops so as someone who
  516. 22:55loves a basic I also don't think that
  517. 22:59you need to spend loads on your t-shirts
  518. 23:02and your tank tops I think that so many
  519. 23:04High Street Brands offer really great
  520. 23:06ones make sure it's 100% cotton or
  521. 23:11cotton with a little bit of elastin so
  522. 23:13it has some stretch make sure it's not
  523. 23:16seethrough and make sure the seams are
  524. 23:19nice and tight and that's all you need
  525. 23:21and then lastly denim I don't think you
  526. 23:24need to spend hundreds and hundreds on a
  527. 23:28design a pair of denim jeans some of my
  528. 23:31favorites have come from and Other
  529. 23:32Stories or arette and even Levis Levis
  530. 23:36is in that sort of like midrange price
  531. 23:39bracket I just did a Levis video if you
  532. 23:42are interested I'll also leave that
  533. 23:43Linked In the description box and they
  534. 23:45have so many styles and leg lengths and
  535. 23:48colors and washes that yeah I just think
  536. 23:51even Levis is a great option for more
