everyone remembers it.

This is like a playground where everyone plays,
apparently there used to be nothing here.
But there’s a French volunteer named JE,

There’s also a volleyball court,
and over there playing volleyball is Teacher Puui.
Hello.
There are chickens here too,
and they freely run around everywhere.
So sometimes when we’re playing volleyball,
  88. 5:06ニワトリのほうにボールが行って、 the ball goes toward the chickens,
and they run away going “kokoko…”
So that’s how it is.
Between classes, you can play volleyball like this,
or badminton, or basketball.
It’s really amazing.
And the volunteers too,
play with the kids or play volleyball before class.
Helping the school isn’t just about teaching English,
  97. 5:36例えば寄付をすることもできるし、 you can also donate, for example,
even just one dollar makes a huge difference.
The average monthly income in Cambodia is said to be around 100 to 150 dollars.
Yesterday, I visited the homes of some children who attend this school,
  101. 5:55本当に、家は木造なんですけど、 and although their houses are made of wood,
  102. 5:58その木が腐ってしまって、家で寝(ら)れないから、 the wood has rotted so badly that they can’t sleep in the house,
so some families sleep in pig sheds.
For example, there are families of seven people,
but only the mother is working.
So that mother’s income…
  107. 6:15で、しかも、その収入も安定しているわけではなくて、 and on top of that, the income isn’t stable,
  108. 6:19建築の仕事で、まあそうですね… it’s construction work, so…
  109. 6:24100ドル稼げる月もあれば、60ドルしか稼げない月もあったりするので、 some months they earn 100 dollars, other months only 60,
so many families live very unstable lives.
Among the children I visited yesterday,
there were kids who wake up at 4 a.m. to help their mother with work.
After that, they go to school,
  114. 6:47また学校から帰ってきて、 then come back from school,
and help their mother again.
But when they come to this school,
they all look so happy playing.
They play with other kids too,
  119. 6:59ここに来たボランティアの人と遊んでいる子どもたちもたくさんいて、 but many kids also play with the volunteers,
and they look really happy.
So what Puui is doing,
  122. 7:09ただ英語を教えて、子どもの将来の可能性を広げているだけじゃなくて、 is not only teaching English and expanding children’s future possibilities,
but also creating a place where children can just be children.
That’s why I truly respect Teacher Puui from the bottom of my heart,
and I’m really happy to be part of his mission.
So, for those of you watching,
  127. 7:35ちょっとでもこの学校とか、この村を助けたいと思っている人は、 if you want to help this school or this village even a little,
  128. 7:40本当に1ドルとか、もうね50セントでもいいので、 even just one dollar, or even 50 cents is fine,
we would be truly grateful for your donation.
Ways to help include donating,
or coming here to volunteer.
I’m only here for ten days this time,
  133. 7:57また戻ってきて、1ヶ月ぐらい滞在しようと思っているので、 but I’m planning to come back and stay for about a month,
