15. 0:24alex jones he appealed and today he lost
16. 0:28the families of the victims of the sandy
17. 0:30hook tragedy are suing radio host alex
18. 0:32jones for defamatory comments he made on
19. 0:34his show which
20. 0:35claimed the shootings were a hoax during
21. 0:38this legal battle
22. 0:39jones turned over emails as part of the
23. 0:41discovery process
24. 0:42some of those emails are alleged to have
25. 0:44contained child
26. 0:45porn jones insisted he was set up and
27. 0:48unleashed
28. 0:48many profane comments some directed
29. 0:51towards chris maddie
30. 0:52a lawyer representing the newtown
31. 0:54families that violent verbal outburst
32. 0:57included calling for a quote
33. 0:59head on a pike jones was sanctioned by
34. 1:01the connecticut
35. 1:02superior court for those comments jones
36. 1:05wanted to dismiss the case
37. 1:06so he appealed to the supreme court
38. 1:08saying the sanctions violated his first
39. 1:10amendment rights the supreme court today
40. 1:12ruled that it did not
41. 1:14in fact they write the sanctions did not
42. 1:16run afoul of the first amendment
43. 1:18because they addressed speech that was
44. 1:20an imminent and likely threat
45. 1:22so the legal battle continues and jones
46. 1:24will still need to produce information
47. 1:26for the lawyers of the sandy hook
48. 1:28families
49. 1:30so the law the law firm that represents
50. 1:33the families of the sandy hook
51. 1:34victims called what happened here today
52. 1:36a win for the connecticut court system
53. 1:39and beyond they go further writing quote
54. 1:41the same families that alex jones has
