  9. 0:19veteran Tim turac today he says he's
  10. 0:21wanted to say something about the Brian
  11. 0:23Williams controversy but he's concerned
  12. 0:25that every word he says will be
  13. 0:27dissected as people try to figure out
  14. 0:29will you why Williams would lie about
  15. 0:32his experience in
  16. 0:33Iraq the story actually started with a
  17. 0:36terrible moment a dozen years back
  18. 0:38during the invasion of Iraq when the
  19. 0:40helicopter we were traveling in was
  20. 0:42forced down after being hit by an RPG he
  21. 0:45had told the story before but it was
  22. 0:47after this NBC Nightly news report that
  23. 0:50the backlash about Brian Williams
  24. 0:52claiming he was in a helicopter that was
  25. 0:53shot down in a rock really started
  26. 0:56command sergeant major Tim TPAC was put
  27. 0:58in charge of our safet in the story
  28. 1:00Williams talks about his relationship
  29. 1:02with Ripley County Army veteran Tim TPAC
  30. 1:05TPAC was honored alongside Williams at a
  31. 1:08New York Rangers game for being the
  32. 1:10person in charge of keeping everyone on
  33. 1:12the ground safe during the Iraq invasion
  34. 1:15US Army command sergeant major Tim turac
  35. 1:18was responsible for the safety of Brian
  36. 1:20Williams and his NBC News team after
  37. 1:23their shook helicopter was hit and
  38. 1:25crippled by enemy fire TPAC hasn't
  39. 1:28spoken publicly about the Williams
  40. 1:30controversy but he is honored by the
  41. 1:32national recognition for his service as
  42. 1:34you can see from his Facebook page his
  43. 1:37cover photos are picks of him and
  44. 1:39Williams TPAC says he hasn't said
  45. 1:41anything publicly about Williams story
  46. 1:44being inaccurate because he wasn't in
  47. 1:46the chopper that was shot down and he
  48. 1:49wasn't in the chopper with Brian
  49. 1:50Williams turac was in charge of the
  50. 1:53ground forces sent to protect all of the
  51. 1:55people on the ground and he got to
  52. 1:57Williams and his NBC crew three days
  53. 2:00after they landed so for turac it was
  54. 2:03not his place to say what did or did not
  55. 2:05happen to Williams while in
  56. 2:08Iraq and turac earned three bronze Stars
  57. 2:11while serving in the Army he got home
  58. 2:13Friday after retiring from the service
  59. 2:16and says he really never expected all
  60. 2:18this attention from this situation Bryce
  61. 2:20anslinger not on your side live in Mount
