- 0:31Venezuela, The Pearl of Latin America
- 0:55We arrived in Venezuela.
- 0:57a country beaten by its history
- 0:58but with a unique cultural wealth in Latin America.
- 1:02I heard a lot about this country
- 1:03but there is no way to know it better than going in person
- 1:27The first stop in Caracas
- 1:28was to get to know a very characteristic neighborhood
- 2:00Now we are entering the “San Agustín” neighborhood
- 2:02to get to know this place a little
- 2:03and the people as well.
- 2:08Well we are now in one of the neighborhoods of San Agustín
- 2:11“black sector first”
- 2:13People who dance, sing or play an instrument,
- 2:17you can find that everywhere around here.
- 2:20This is my neighborhood, I wouldn't change it for anything.
- 2:24and this is Caracas papa
- 2:39you have no idea how this climb is
- 2:40We are exercising, it is very high
- 2:45Now the boys are playing “papagayo”
- 2:47Basically, it is a kite that is thrown very far
- 2:511km away, It is very far away, you can't even see it.
- 2:54they get entangled, so that the threads are pressed and one brings the other
- 2:59The game is very simple, the one that knocks down the other kite wins.
- 3:02This place in the past was one of the most dangerous in Caracas
- 3:05but today with the passage of time, the criminals have left
- 3:09and now it is considered a little safer.
- 3:12We're doing some shoots and people are very kind and appreciative,
- 3:16so it's really a pleasure.
- 3:19I had the opportunity to leave my country to other countries
- 3:22and when they hear my accent they say you are too
- 3:24sweet, too noble and cheerful.
- 3:28That is the most beautiful thing that we Venezuelans have, that we are very loved.
- 3:32We are an example for the whole world
- 3:34apart from everything I'm going to tell you one thing, welcome to Caracas, to "San Agustín".
- 3:46We are now going to try the "cachapas"
- 3:48which they say is something very traditional in Venezuela, they say it is one of the best dishes
- 3:51It is a corn flour, we put cheese
- 3:55on it, they put Manos on it, they put Guayanés on it, it depends on the cheese
- 3:58"the cachapa "
- 4:00Justkay: - It has a lot of protein.
- 4:06Just four hours from Caracas,
- 4:07we went with Mati and Lucho to see Morrocoy.
- 4:10And as the locals call this place, "the path to happiness"
- 4:30people can't believe what my eyes are seeing, I mean
- 4:36well now we come to “Cayo Sombrero”
- 4:38There are many “Cayos” around Morrocoy,
- 4:40but this is one of the most beautiful and the truth is that it does not disappoint I
- 4:43mean you have to see the beaches, but look at these shots, look what this is amazing
- 4:59I've been working here for 22 years, I've traveled to many places
- 5:03like Aruba, Curaçao, Bonaire
- 5:06and the beaches
- 5:07are not similar to those in Venezuela.
- 5:08The most beautiful park I've seen like this in water
- 5:11is Morrocoy
- 5:16well I think this is the one in Venezuela natural paradise
- 5:18when they arrive here many people get surprised
- 5:20a lot of people don't know this place
- 5:22and when they know it, then the next week, they're here again.
- 5:56This paradise activated all our senses,
- 5:58and was simply showing us a part of what this country had to offer.
- 6:03We went to an island that we were told would surprise us in the same way.
- 6:06this is 'Family trip' vlibes
- 6:09Margarita Island is like the "pearl" of the Caribbean.
- 6:11They call it that way because it is very interesting, it
- 6:13has too many beaches along the coast
- 6:16. People love it!
- 6:17Since we were little we say that is the essence of the Venezuelan
- 6:20. Let's go to Margarita, let's go to Margarita!
- 6:32I noticed that people here were very proud of their island,
- 6:34they wanted to show it to the whole world...
- 6:36and they had their reasons.
- 6:42but we couldn't leave without having a little fun.
- 7:19A few kilometers away by boat,
- 7:21we went out to discover a virgin island
- 7:22with a very important fauna and history.
- 7:25The good thing is that we were accompanied.
- 7:27I hadn't seen the dolphins for a few days,
- 7:29you arrived with that bit of cameras and went out to see them
- 7:33saying welcome to the Island of Cubagua,
- 7:35welcome to Margarita.
- 7:48Among the few habitants of this place, was "Machito".
- 7:51Who shared their story with us.
- 7:54For me it is wonderful.
- 7:56It has to be because this is where I've been raised most of my life,
- 7:59and I love this life that I lead. Since I was a child I fell in love with the nature here,
- 8:03with Cubagua.
- 8:05and I'm in love with her.
- 8:06Wherever I go around here I like it,
- 8:08on any beach I would like to stay.
- 8:11I find myself more here than there,
- 8:14but always aware of my family.
- 8:19The island I'm on right now has a very interesting history,
- 8:23because this was one of the gems when Columbus supposedly "discovered" America.
- 8:28On his third trip, in the year 1498
- 8:31he came to this island, and he saw this incredible place.
- 8:34Where an ecocide started with the theme of pearls
- 8:36they took tons of pearls and oysters from this place.
- 8:41and that generated a lot of chaos in the ecosystem.
- 8:43But this island is quite representative
- 8:45because it was the first place where they arrived for the first time on the 3rd voyage of Columbus.
- 8:49So let's explore a little,
- 8:51this beach looks amazing.
- 8:53It's beautiful, isn't it? -Yes.
- 8:54really beautiful
- 8:56. And I say beautiful and proud because we built it with our own hands.
- 9:03The trip did not end
- 9:04and I got back together with Kay
- 9:06to get to know one of the most beautiful places on the planet,
- 9:09located in the Amazon region.
- 9:11Thank you very much
- 9:12-Welcome -Thank you very much
- 9:15now we have just arrived at “Waku Lodge”
- 9:18it is a complex in the middle of the jungle
- 9:21and it has something very particular,
- 9:22it is that there are animals everywhere.
- 9:24I'm going to show you what this is.
- 9:27It's the Mona Lisa
- 9:31We are in Canaima, in the Guiana massif.
- 9:33A very particular place
- 9:35They are high mountains in the tropics, in the equatorial zone.
- 9:39then these unique ecosystems are generated here.
- 9:43Each one of those mountains that you see,
- 9:45are like islands, isolated ecosystems and different from each other.
- 9:49This is one of the oldest environments on the planet
- 9:52where water is the protagonist, that is why the importance of "Angel Falls".
- 9:56Here the rain falls on these peaks,
- 9:58and forms the huge rivers
- 10:01that we see in the south of Venezuela.
- 10:50The next morning...
- 10:52Good morning,

- 11:16because the "rapids" are very strong
- 11:18and the canoe cannot go through there with all the people.
- 11:21That's why we're going to meet on the other side.
- 11:23It started to rain really heavy so
- 11:24let's see how this turns out
- 11:40Well, we got everything wet
- 11:42we were in a rapid and a lot of water passed by,
- 11:45and everything got wet.
- 11:46There is a canoe that we haven't found yet,
- 11:48we don't know, hopefully not, that hasn't turned over.
- 11:51but we are waiting here, waiting for news.
- 11:54Fortunately the canoe was safe
- 11:56and we were able to continue the journey.
- 12:06After almost 4 hours walking around in the rapids,
- 12:08we got all wet
- 12:09Look, I don't even have my jopo on now
- 12:12We arrive, we arrive at the camp
- 12:13where we are going to stay overnight
- 12:16And now we are going to start with the last hike
- 12:18to the base and the viewpoint of the "Angel Falls".
- 12:21and we hope that it clears up a bit
- 12:22to make some amazing shots.
- 12:29Right now we are walking
- 12:30through an ancient forest that has a lot of energy,
- 12:33and a very strong presence is felt.
- 12:36The air is breathed differently,
- 12:38it recharges you one hundred percent.
- 12:47-How are you guys back there?
- 12:49-well?
- 12:51You can hear it, huh .
- 12:51If you put your hand like that, you can hear it.
- 12:56We're arriving, the
- 12:57last ten meters.
- 12:59Oh, my God!
- 13:34This place is a hope
- 13:36it is part of what we can be
- 13:40is a place that excites us,
- 13:42that gives us courage in the face of any problem we may have.
- 13:45The "Angel Fall" allows us to dream of something better,
- 13:49and something bigger.
- 14:09Venezuela, without a doubt,
- 14:10is one of the most incredible countries I have known in my life.
- 14:13Not only for its incredible landscapes,
- 14:15but the people
