1. 0:03hello folks uh in this video I'm going
2. 0:05to show you uh how to use our video
3. 0:09simulator now this is designed and
4. 0:12developed by video Continental who are
5. 0:14one of the UK's uh number one or the
6. 0:18largest uh tachograph
7. 0:20manufacturers um now this simulator is
8. 0:23designed to sort of allow um trainers to
9. 0:26be able to train drivers on how to use
10. 0:30tackle graph using real time
11. 0:32scenarios um and without having to get
12. 0:36into a lorry or mess about with real
13. 0:38live data so uh the the simulator itself
14. 0:43is costing around £75 plus V8 uh per
15. 0:47anom and uh it can be purchased from our
16. 0:50website which is
17. 0:51www. compliance solutions. co.uk and if
18. 0:57you go into our shop you'll be able to
19. 0:58purchase it from there direct or you can
20. 1:01just contact us and we can arrange for
21. 1:03the product to be uh sent to VI email so
22. 1:07um the layout is pretty simple once
23. 1:10you've logged in you see a bunch of
24. 1:13different tabs over here so you've got
25. 1:14various different models of tachograph
26. 1:16So currently it's uh by default it's on
27. 1:20the latest uh dtco 4.0e which is the
28. 1:24latest Gen 2 teor graph um you still
29. 1:27have the older Gen 2 as well and then
30. 1:29you've got the one before that and then
31. 1:31you've got dtco 2.2 with a slightly
32. 1:33different layout of buttons and um um
33. 1:37and pretty much functionality is pretty
34. 1:38much very similar slight difference in
35. 1:40the menus Etc and then you've got the
36. 1:43one which is between 2012 and 2015 and
37. 1:47then the older one as well so the oldest
38. 1:49we've got here is dtcl
39. 1:521.4 now that being said I'm just going
40. 1:54to show you very quickly how the
41. 1:56simulator Works uh so click on start and
42. 1:59then you've got uh the welcome screen uh
43. 2:03now you can start the engine obviously
44. 2:05and then it basically highlights
45. 2:07everything so you've got a bunch of
46. 2:09cards over here you've got driver card
47. 2:11which is a gen one Gen 2 company card
48. 2:14and a control card um so you can pretty
49. 2:16much do everything that you would uh
50. 2:20normally do on a real tachograph so in
51. 2:23this example I'm just going to quickly
52. 2:24put the card in slot one and then it's
53. 2:28going to show you exactly the same
54. 2:29screen you would see on a real
55. 2:31tachograph uh it's loaded the card it
56. 2:33tells me what time the the last
57. 2:36withdrawal was and then I can make a
58. 2:38manual entry as a normal tachograph
59. 2:40would ask you to do so uh obviously you
60. 2:43can play around with different things
61. 2:44over here you can change the modes um so
62. 2:47I'm just going to leave it onr press
63. 2:49okay okay okay and that's it so that's
64. 2:53it that's the entry
65. 2:55confirmed um you can choose this yes or
66. 2:58no this is the remote date that you can
67. 3:00publish if you want it um entry stored
68. 3:04and um that's it we are pretty much
69. 3:07ready to
70. 3:08drive um so there you go so basically
71. 3:11you can sort of put the taco in drive
72. 3:14mode on other work paa everything you
73. 3:17you you would do on a real tachograph um
74. 3:20so let's just try and uh put in some
75. 3:23other work at the start of the shift so
76. 3:26I would simply click on the Activity one
77. 3:28button until you got the crossers and
78. 3:31then I can say he's been on other work
79. 3:34for let's
80. 3:37say say 15 minutes press okay and then
81. 3:41that's recorded uh 15 minutes of other
82. 3:44work now I can drive around say let's
83. 3:47say you know put it on drive mode as you
84. 3:50can see and then uh I can increase the
85. 3:53time let's say 1 hour off drive so
86. 3:55increase the time by 1 hour press okay
87. 3:58and then um can stop the
88. 4:02driving and it should switch back
89. 4:05automatically to other work once I come
90. 4:08to a stop um and then you know you can
91. 4:11put various different entries so we can
92. 4:13put a break entry if you want um so
93. 4:17there you go rest and then another hour
94. 4:19of rest right and then we can probably
95. 4:22put some other work or POA whichever we
96. 4:26prefer and then put that for another one
97. 4:29hour and that's that's the end of our
98. 4:31shift let's say quick and easy shift um
99. 4:35yeah and then obviously you can eject
100. 4:38the card press and hold the uh activity
101. 4:41mode one and that's it allows you to
102. 4:44make another entry so this is just a
103. 4:47quick demonstration so I can give you a
104. 4:49feel for the actual tachograph itself um
105. 4:52obviously there are options to do print
106. 4:54outs as well you can do print outs here
107. 4:56press okay yeah and that's the actual
108. 4:59print out so it gives you very realistic
109. 5:02uh information the shift that we've just
110. 5:04completed as you can see um it's good to
111. 5:07sort of you know get the drivers
112. 5:08familiar with everything um you know so
113. 5:12yeah so that's pretty much our um
114. 5:15simulator like I said you can purchase
115. 5:17it on our website or you can give us a
116. 5:20call uh on
117. 5:2201623 888 477 and we can arrange for the
118. 5:26product to be sent to our email and make
119. 5:29a payment over the phone so yeah
120. 5:32hopefully you like this video and gives
