Vaxee Oryza Mouse Bungee & PD+ 155 Mouse Pad — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:00What's up guys? My name is Liam and in
- 0:01today's video we're going to be taking a
- 0:02look at two products from Vaxee. They
- 0:04did bring back the iconic Outset mouse
- 0:06bungee and then second we're going to be
- 0:08looking at the brand new PA Plus 155.
- 0:11This is currently the fastest pad in the
- 0:13PA lineup. So I'm breaking down how my
- 0:15experience using both of these has been.
- 0:17Hopefully by the end of this video I'll
- 0:18be able to help you decide whether or
- 0:19not any one of these could be the
- 0:21perfect option for you. So let's check
- 0:23it out.
- 0:32Before we get started today I did want
- 0:33to let you know that these were sent out
- 0:34to me. However, everything you'll be
- 0:36hearing in this video is going to be my
- 0:37own words and my own opinions. With the
- 0:39Outset this is something that got phased
- 0:41out due to the popularity of wireless
- 0:43mice. Now that wired mice are starting
- 0:46to make a comeback in some degree or
- 0:48just some people in general prefer still
- 0:49using wired mice. They did decide to
- 0:51bring this back and I'm actually really
- 0:53happy that they've done so. I've used
- 0:55several various types of mouse bungies
- 0:57in the past and this without question is
- 0:59my favorite one and has one of the most
- 1:01premium builds. So I'm going to break
- 1:02down for you why that is. First off, for
- 1:05the measurements of this the length of
- 1:07the base here is about 80 mm and then
- 1:09the height you're going to get from the
- 1:10bottom of the base up here to the top is
- 1:12170 mm. This has some really great
- 1:15weight to it coming in at 345 g. So
- 1:18you're going to get a great sense of
- 1:19stability as you're using this. On the
- 1:21bottom here it does have this pad and
- 1:23it's kind of cushiony but it's been
- 1:25really sticky. It somewhat suctions to
- 1:27my desk and it feels nice and planted.
- 1:29So no real major issues with it rocking
- 1:32around on me or anything as I've been
- 1:33using it. And one of the things that
- 1:34makes this stand out for me is this top
- 1:36piece does have an enclosed ball bearing
- 1:39in it so that it does spin like this and
- 1:41I'll go and demonstrate
- 1:43how this actually impacts the
- 1:44performance as you're using a wired
- 1:45mouse with this. When you are making
- 1:47swipes left to right is where the
- 1:49rotating cylinder does give you a
- 1:50greater free sense of motion when you're
- 1:53moving this mouse around and yeah just
- 1:55everything about the build and feeling
- 1:56on it really does feel great to use if
- 1:58you are going to be gaming on a wired
- 2:00mouse. And the pricing on this in USD is
- 2:02coming in right under $30. All right, so
- 2:05next up for the PD Plus 155 and just the
- 2:08build on this in general is going to be
- 2:10similar to the 150 and 151 that I've
- 2:12already covered on my channel. So, the
- 2:14PD, there's a different size 480 by 400,
- 2:17the PD Plus is the larger size coming in
- 2:19at the 500 by 500. However, all these
- 2:21pads are sitting at 5.5 mm in thickness.
- 2:24The 100 series of all these mouse pads
- 2:26are going to be using the same base. It
- 2:27is that very firm base. I've stated in
- 2:29previous videos many times how I just
- 2:31absolutely love this base. It is on the
- 2:33much more firmer end you can slightly
- 2:35press into it. The reason I like this so
- 2:37much it gives you such great consistency
- 2:39and you can use just about any type of
- 2:41mouse skate on here. Even dot skates
- 2:43work perfectly on this. This did arrive
- 2:45to my front door flat package and this
- 2:47does have a heavier weight to it. And
- 2:49even though these pads are thicker
- 2:50sitting at 5.5 mm, it does have this
- 2:53rounded edge design that I'm a huge fan
- 2:55of. The quality on it looks very premium
- 2:58and with these rounded edges really
- 3:00makes a difference for the thickness of
- 3:01this pad as personally it hasn't been
- 3:03bothering my forearms as I've been
- 3:05gaming on it. So, when it does come to
- 3:06the surface of the 155, it does have a
- 3:08similar feeling to the 151 in general.
- 3:12So, you're going to notice a little bit
- 3:13of a texture along the X axis though it
- 3:15is less noticeable. You do notice that
- 3:17texture there a little bit more
- 3:19aggressively as you're moving along the
- 3:21Y axis. And really when it comes to the
- 3:23performance, it is a lot more similar to
- 3:25the 151. But, you are going to have just
- 3:28all around faster properties altogether.
- 3:31So, the static friction when compared to
- 3:33the 151, again just a little bit quicker
- 3:36and the dynamic is going to be quite a
- 3:39bit faster as well. So, what I do want
- 3:41to say about this pad is I was expecting
- 3:42this to be a little bit more a speed
- 3:43pad. I would definitely categorize this
- 3:46as more of a balanced style of a mouse
- 3:48pad but to me personally, it almost kind
- 3:50of fits in the category of being a
- 3:52little bit more controlled, even though
- 3:54with the speed of it it is going to be
- 3:55on the faster end of the spectrum. If I
- 3:57go and do a glide here, as you can kind
- 3:58of see, it does kind of just abruptly
- 4:00come to a stop here. So, the one thing I
- 4:02do feel like that is noticeable with the
- 4:04performance on this pad is that the
- 4:07dynamic does feel quicker to me,
- 4:10and that the static does feel higher.
- 4:12So, they're not really that close
- 4:13together. You're going to get a higher
- 4:14static friction, where when you do put
- 4:16weight on the mouse and press into it,
- 4:18you're going to notice heavier tugging
- 4:19going back and forth. So, I'm going to
- 4:21show you really quickly what this
- 4:22surface does look like next to the 151
- 4:26that we have over here on the left-hand
- 4:27side. And like I said, when it comes to
- 4:29the performance between this and the
- 4:30151, again, all around you're going to
- 4:32be getting a same type of a similar
- 4:33feeling, where I feel like the dynamic
- 4:35on both these pads a little bit quicker
- 4:37with higher static friction, a little
- 4:38bit more tugging there the more you
- 4:40press into it. But again, obviously, the
- 4:42155 just being a little bit of a quicker
- 4:43version. So, let's go ahead and drop a
- 4:45glide test comparison between both of
- 4:48them. All right, guys, so that'll wrap
- 4:49things up on the brand new Equate PD+
- 4:52155. As I've already stated several
- 4:55times in my previous videos, these PD
- 4:57series mousepads, without question, are
- 4:59some of my favorite out there. The build
- 5:00on them feels so fantastic. I'm just
- 5:02absolutely in love with this base. The
- 5:04rounded edge design, everything about it
- 5:06is really solid. The 155 is a great
- 5:08addition to their current PD lineup. For
- 5:10my personal preferences, I do prefer a
- 5:12little bit less of static friction. I
- 5:14actually kind of prefer the opposite,
- 5:16where I get lower static and almost a
- 5:18little bit higher of a dynamic. My
- 5:20personal preference is going to be the
- 5:21150. And as I'm also sure that I made
- 5:24pretty clear earlier, if you are a wired
- 5:26mouse user and looking for a really
- 5:28solid bungee, I absolutely recommend
- 5:30going and checking out the Riza. But if
- 5:33you guys do have any additional
- 5:34questions or feel like I left anything
- 5:36out, please let me know in the comments
- 5:37down below. If you have enjoyed watching
- 5:39this video and are interested in seeing
- 5:40more videos like this in the future,
- 5:42please drop this video a like and
- 5:44subscribe to my channel. Thank you guys
- 5:45so much for watching. I look forward to
- 5:47seeing you in the next one.
