9. 0:18I can only imagine perhaps they've got
10. 0:20the hopes of some leverage maybe they're
11. 0:22hoping that Stanford's Chief investment
12. 0:24officer will name more names is that it
13. 0:27I mean why isn't this guy in jail well
14. 0:29the holdup directly is actually with
15. 0:31Holt she is being investigated as you
16. 0:34know she's already been charged
17. 0:35criminally the bottom line though is is
18. 0:37that the she also has an SEC is
19. 0:40investigating her as well and the FBI
20. 0:43and the SEC I can tell you as a criminal
21. 0:45defense attorney do not play well
22. 0:46together they don't play well with
23. 0:48others so she is not going to be naming
24. 0:51names or helping as much as they'd like
25. 0:53her to which is the way to get Stanford
26. 0:55unless that they both play well together
27. 0:58and give her a plea resolute solution

29. 1:02they don't have enough just yet and
30. 1:04she's not flipping the way they want her
31. 1:06to here here's what I don't get they
32. 1:08already seized a lot of documents from
33. 1:10his office they have already determined
34. 1:13that he was making investment claims
35. 1:15that were absolutely specious he didn't
36. 1:17invest in things he said he was invested
37. 1:20he bounced more than five million
38. 1:22dollars in checks to investors I mean I
39. 1:25could conjure up a whole host of crimes
40. 1:27already and this guy is a Flight Risk
41. 1:30they couldn't even find him when they
42. 1:31tried to serve him with the Civil
43. 1:33subpoena
44. 1:35all right Greg I agree with everything
45. 1:37you've said but foreign
46. 1:40that scheme these people out of billions
47. 1:43of dollars I mean birdie Madoff he gets
48. 1:45house arrest and he complains that he's
49. 1:47being held hostage in his multi-million
50. 1:50dollar house in manhattanoo you should
51. 1:53have thought of that before you yeah
52. 1:56this guy 's Comfort he comes out I
53. 1:58remember on national TV and he said you

55. 2:02billionaire you heard of those clips but
56. 2:04he actually bragged about being a

58. 2:08mean at the very least shouldn't he be
59. 2:10behind bars for at least trying to dodge
60. 2:11the law anyone missing in the first
61. 2:13place I don't think so now at this time
62. 2:16you should be behind bars when they have
63. 2:18something that you have done directly
64. 2:20illegal and don't forget but if you're
65. 2:22not guilty of something then why would
66. 2:23you dodge cops when they're looking for

68. 2:26wouldn't you go in and say okay you know

72. 2:34shouldn't be making if he was my client

75. 2:38mentioned there's a civil action and the
76. 2:40problem with the civil action is that we
77. 2:43criminal defense attorneys are going to
78. 2:45be getting documents we never should
79. 2:46have our eyes on just yet preparing for
80. 2:49a criminal defense so the problem is is
81. 2:52that we're getting stuff that we're we
82. 2:53shouldn't be seeing already and the
83. 2:55bottom line is is that until they get
84. 2:57some something directly that's with him
85. 2:59he shouldn't be saying anything or do
86. 3:01anything and just let it roll you know
87. 3:02Julia this guy basically took over the
88. 3:05island of Antigua uh he had his own Bank
89. 3:09near the Stanford International Bank and
90. 3:11you know he was allegedly laundering
91. 3:13money uh from Venezuela and some other
92. 3:16places and and for the Mexican drug
93. 3:18cartel yeah
94. 3:20cartel there's allegations that he's
95. 3:23laundering money in bed with Antiguan
96. 3:25government officials he does own 250
97. 3:27Acres of Antigua land I mean can can
98. 3:30investors in America get their hands on
99. 3:32that stuff
100. 3:34yeah well the receiver Greg is in the
101. 3:36process now of seizing that the the
102. 3:38Antiguan authorities have already sort
103. 3:40of closed in on on that that parcel of
104. 3:43land and the receiver that was appointed
105. 3:45in the civil action in federal court in
106. 3:47Texas is in the process of seizing it
107. 3:49yeah
108. 3:53we actually got it already they actually
109. 3:55took that 250 and they took it already
110. 3:58so right now it's a race to the bank on
111. 4:00right really who gets what good luck to
112. 4:02American investors getting their hand on
113. 4:04antiguing the court issued an order that
114. 4:07that they have to they have to you know
115. 4:11outside of the jurisdictions
