- 0:04How will you empower the women in your
- 0:06area? When a bill is passed by the state
- 0:08legislature, what options does the
- 0:10governor have in front of him? What is
- 0:13the historical significance of Banar?
- 0:16How is justice or bulldozer justice
- 0:18different from justice? In common
- 0:20perception when we talk about uniformed
- 0:22services in India, the army has a very
- 0:25positive image in the minds of people.
- 0:27However, the police forces is viewed
- 0:29with skepticism. Why is it so?
- 0:39[Music]
- 0:44May I come in sir? Yes, come in.
- 0:48Good morning, sir. Good morning. Please
- 0:50be
- 0:52seated. Please give a brief introduction
- 0:54about yourself. Uh, sir, my name is
- 0:56Shaki Dub. I belong to Priyagar district
- 0:58of Uttar Pradesh. I have done most of my
- 1:01education and schooling from Priyagra
- 1:03itself. I did my graduation from
- 1:05University of Alahabad and further I
- 1:08moved to Banaras Hindu University to
- 1:10complete my post-graduation in
- 1:12biochemistry which I have completed in
- 1:152018. Since then I have been preparing
- 1:17for the civil services examination and
- 1:20this is my fourth attempt at UPSC. Shaki
- 1:23you are so passionate to join the civil
- 1:26services. Civil services if you ask me
- 1:28my opinion about the civil services. It
- 1:31is a very complicated service perks are
- 1:35not commensurate with the efforts you
- 1:38make in the while working as a civil
- 1:41servant. Deion making is pretty slow and
- 1:44all that. Still you are wanting to join
- 1:47the civil service. Could you give me a
- 1:50plausible explanation for this? Yes sir.
- 1:52Because uh looking at the career option
- 1:55that I was looking for, it was basically
- 1:58coupled with my personal growth and
- 1:59development along with having the power
- 2:01to empower the people in the society to
- 2:04bring changes at the societal level. So
- 2:06according to that I think UPSC provides
- 2:08civil services provides that opportunity
- 2:11to work at the ground level to
- 2:12understand the problem and uh to design
- 2:15policies etc that can help for the
- 2:17betterment and upliftment of the people.
- 2:19So this is what has attracted me
- 2:21towards. So you want
- 2:23to uh empower the people who are not
- 2:26otherwise empowered. Suppose you are
- 2:29posted as district by state of uh pray.
- 2:33How do you skill the youth? So first and
- 2:36the for foremost thing in with respect
- 2:38to skilling the youth is that there is a
- 2:41need to first analyze the issues that
- 2:43are there in this uh district. First
- 2:45thing second thing we need to understand
- 2:47the gaps that are there in the people.
- 2:49what is required and accordingly there
- 2:51are also certain government programs
- 2:53that government is has started like the
- 2:55koshal vikasha etc. According to that
- 2:58people can be made aware about
- 2:59government scheme and they can be
- 3:00enrolled for the same for their that can
- 3:03help them in giving the skills for
- 3:05employment as well as for their overall
- 3:08development as the society and economy
- 3:10of the district and uh how will you
- 3:13empower the women in your area? So there
- 3:15are uh there are certain specific issues
- 3:18related to women. If you look at uh
- 3:19Uttar Pradesh in general and Priyagra of
- 3:22course first and the foremost problem is
- 3:24the uh lack of participation of women at
- 3:27the leadership leadership position both
- 3:29and the social as well as in the
- 3:31political sphere. Second thing is there
- 3:33is still the patriarchal mindset that is
- 3:35entrenched there. We see the problems of
- 3:38sun meta preference that is still going
- 3:39on. So there are first first and
- 3:42foremost thing is to focus on the
- 3:43education for women. so that they are
- 3:45aware about their rights. They are aware
- 3:47about the policies and schemes that the
- 3:49government is coming up for them so that
- 3:52uh they can better understand their
- 3:54abilities, their capabilities and can
- 3:56come forward. What steps will you take
- 4:00uh for women's safety? So for women's
- 4:02safety I think for certain things like
- 4:04first is awareness of the women about
- 4:06their rights first thing. Second we can
- 4:08have for the safety and security another
- 4:10important thing that can be done is
- 4:12installing CCTV cameras. so as to make
- 4:14them secure while they are traveling or
- 4:16while they are out. Second thing is uh
- 4:18there can be the laws related to the
- 4:20sexual harassment at the workplace can
- 4:22be properly implemented having internal
- 4:24the complaint committee etc. So that
- 4:26women they are comfortable in working.
- 4:28Apart from that if in order to engage
- 4:30the married women's etc and workplace we
- 4:33need to have proper policies related to
- 4:36the crutch facilities etc and proper
- 4:39leaves also should be provided to women
- 4:40so that they are able to manage their
- 4:43work life balance. They can have a
- 4:45proper work life balance. Talking about
- 4:46the health system in our country. Do you
- 4:50think that India should go for health
- 4:53for all or insurance for all principle?
- 4:56Sir I think there uh there are they are
- 4:58having it its own importance both they
- 5:00think health for all insurance both I
- 5:02think however the focus should be first
- 5:04on prevention that is such so that we
- 5:06can avoid the diseases or we can avoid
- 5:09the problem of poor health that thus the
- 5:12focus should be first on nutrition etc
- 5:14and apart from that insurance can also
- 5:17be coupled with this however my my own
- 5:20suggestion would be to focus first on
- 5:22prevention rather than cure and
- 5:24insurance what is the difference between
- 5:27preventive treatment and a promotive
- 5:29treatment. Uh I think preventive
- 5:31treatment is s the basically steps like
- 5:33vaccination or immuniz immunization and
- 5:36also awareness among people
- 5:38ensuring cleanliness etc. so as to avoid
- 5:41the disease at the first place.
- 5:43Promotive is in case the disease there
- 5:44are certain disease that are spread for
- 5:46example anything like cancer etc in
- 5:49women are very prevalent the breast
- 5:51cancer or cervical cancer etc then
- 5:53proper treatment should be available at
- 5:55so that they are able to avail those
- 5:57treatments they are affordable as well
- 5:59as accessible for them thank you very
- 6:00much Shaki I could see in your dav that
- 6:04your home village is in Balya district
- 6:07yes my father belongs to Bal my father
- 6:08and mother belong to Ballaya so you
- 6:10don't feel that you belong to Balya No,
- 6:13actually I have been born and brought up
- 6:14in Priyagarat. So I have stayed
- 6:15throughout my life in Priyad. Have you
- 6:17visited your village ever? Uh yes or
- 6:19once or twice? Only twice. Yes sir.
- 6:22Okay. So Ballaya is part of which
- 6:23division of Uttar Pradesh. So Azamar
- 6:26division of and how many other districts
- 6:27are there? Uh sorry sir I need to read
- 6:29about that. Okay. Which language is
- 6:32spoken there locally? Bhpuri. And uh
- 6:35nowadays you are studying in Priyagar.
- 6:38Yes sir. Which language is spoken in
- 6:39Priyagra? Hindi is there. uh and apart
- 6:43along with that there are different
- 6:44dialects in different regions. Which
- 6:45dialects are spoken by the villagers
- 6:47around Alabad. So some of them speak
- 6:50bjpuri is also prevalent in most of the
- 6:53park and there is also ai some people
- 6:55they speak. There is also dialect called
- 6:56alhabadi dialect that is also very
- 6:58prevalent in and bjpuri is spoken in
- 7:01many other countries of the world also.
- 7:03Are you aware of the countries where
- 7:05bjpuri is used by the people? No sir I'm
- 7:07sorry I'm not aware about that. You
- 7:09don't know any about any of the
- 7:10countries? No sir, I think I'm more
- 7:12probably if it could be, if I could take
- 7:14a guess, it could be countries like
- 7:16Nepal which is closer to the border of
- 7:18Uttar Pradesh and behind. Okay. Uh your
- 7:21preference for foreign service is very
- 7:23low. Sixth. Yes sir. Why? So actually my
- 7:26preference for the service is the Indian
- 7:28administrative service and the Indian
- 7:30police service. Apart from that based on
- 7:32Yes, I understand. But why foreign
- 7:33service is so low? So but based on my
- 7:36limited knowledge I have arranged
- 7:37because I had to give preference to
- 7:39different services. So according
- 7:41accordingly I have placed first and
- 7:43second is the main preference. Beyond
- 7:44that I have just based on the knowledge
- 7:46I had about the services I have ranked
- 7:48them in that order. Okay. Uh which
- 7:49institutions in the world are called
- 7:51Bretonwoods institutions. Okay. So these
- 7:54are the institutions that have been
- 7:55established at the Bretonwoods
- 7:57conference which includes the IMF. uh
- 8:00then it is the World Bank and then the
- 8:02later World Trade Organization was
- 8:04formed as uh it was after as a as a
- 8:07successor of GT that was the sorry I
- 8:12cannot recall the full form of that and
- 8:14where are they located their
- 8:15headquarters? So headquarters sorry I
- 8:17need to read about that I cannot recall
- 8:19and what about the World Bank? Uh do we
- 8:21have any person of Indian origin
- 8:23officiating there at the top level?
- 8:27Sorry sir I'm not aware about that.
- 8:29Okay. Have you also heard about
- 8:30financial financial stability board?
- 8:33FSB. Yes sir, I have heard about the
- 8:34financial stability board. So this
- 8:37basically looks after the I've heard
- 8:39about it but I need to read. I'm not
- 8:41aware. What about World Economic Forum?
- 8:43World Economic Forum. Yes, it is an
- 8:45international or multilateral
- 8:47organization that looks uh looks across
- 8:49the uh economy of the world and it
- 8:52basically provides information related
- 8:54to that only. Is it an agency of the UN?
- 8:56No sir, it is not an agency of human. So
- 8:58what kind of institution it is? It's an
- 9:00independent autonomous institution.
- 9:02Okay. And why they are in news? So I
- 9:05need to read about it. I'm sorry. Do
- 9:07they have their annual conference
- 9:09sometimes in January? So I'm not aware
- 9:11about that. I need to read about it.
- 9:14Okay. And uh you like playing badminton?
- 9:18Yes. Recently I have developed an
- 9:19interest and I'm trying to explore this.
- 9:21Can you tell us uh a very famous many of
- 9:24the famous badminton players from Uttar
- 9:26Pradesh? So from Uttar Pradesh names of
- 9:29two three players. So if I'm not wrong
- 9:31Sina Neal is AC is from Uttar Pradesh.
- 9:34Sorry I think Praash I just know some
- 9:36prominent badminton players in general
- 9:39like Prakash Padu and S I'm talking
- 9:41about players from Mtar Pradesh. No sir
- 9:44I'm not about aware specifically from my
- 9:46final question what's the difference
- 9:48between Eoli and Boli? So these are two
- 9:50different strains of the bacteria that
- 9:54so exact difference I'm not aware. Thank
- 9:58you. Uh Shi you are a student of PS.
- 10:01Okay. So tell me what is the difference
- 10:03between a federation and a
- 10:04confederation. So federation as a
- 10:07federation is basically an arrangement
- 10:10where the states they are come they come
- 10:12together. There can be two types of
- 10:13federation. Coming together federation
- 10:15and holding together federation. Coming
- 10:17together federation the best example is
- 10:19USA. We are 50 countries they have come
- 10:20together to form a federal federal unit.
- 10:23While holding together federation India
- 10:25is an good example of that. Apart from
- 10:27that confederation if I talk about the
- 10:29example can be European Union where
- 10:32several countries though they are
- 10:33sovereign in its own being held. India
- 10:35is said to be quasi federal. Yes sir.
- 10:37Why so? Because the Indian constitution
- 10:40have both the federal as well as the
- 10:42unitary features that are there. There
- 10:44are federal features like the seven
- 10:45schedule where the power between the
- 10:47center and state is properly divided and
- 10:49apart from that we also have the
- 10:50bicameal legislature at the center. What
- 10:52do you understand by confrontational
- 10:54federalism and do you think in recent
- 10:57times it has become a defining feature
- 10:58of Indian federalism? confrontational.
- 11:02Isa, I would not say that it has became
- 11:04a defining feature. But however, this is
- 11:06a term which is used uh in a derogatory
- 11:09sense which basically uh implies the
- 11:11difference in opinion that is going on
- 11:13between the center and state basically
- 11:15because of the office of governor like
- 11:17we are watching because uh of the issues
- 11:19especially in the part in the states
- 11:21where when a bill is passed by the state
- 11:23legislature what options does the
- 11:25governor have in front of him? So the
- 11:28governor has the has the power to give
- 11:31ascent to the bill can send the bill for
- 11:33the reconsideration can also reserve the
- 11:35bill for the presidential uh
- 11:37consideration. So only three options are
- 11:38there or four options are there or and
- 11:40can also reject can reject the bill give
- 11:43the ascent withhold the ascent or it can
- 11:45uh return it for reconsideration or send
- 11:47it back to the send it to the president
- 11:49for the consideration. Can the governor
- 11:50keep it pending? Uh so uh
- 11:52constitutionally this should not be done
- 11:54uh because article 200 directly says uh
- 11:58commands the governor to give the ascent
- 11:59to the bill or react on that as soon as
- 12:01possible. Okay. Shi tell me there has
- 12:04been this uh trouble in our neighborhood
- 12:08where India is being accused of being a
- 12:10bully by one of our neighbors. Do you
- 12:13agree with this viewpoint? No sir, I
- 12:15will not agree with that that uh India
- 12:18is being seen as a bully because India
- 12:20has always considered the neighbor
- 12:22neighboring country especially the
- 12:23smaller we consider the neighborhood to
- 12:25be our backyard that makes us a bully
- 12:28not a not a backyard sir not I don't I
- 12:31will not call it a bully however India
- 12:33has tried to project itself as leader in
- 12:36the especially in the Indian Ocean
- 12:38region and and is trying to establish
- 12:40its stronghold and emerge as a net
- 12:42security provider for this India has
- 12:44been continuously engaging with these
- 12:46countries and at times this stand of
- 12:49India is being looked upon as uh the
- 12:51given the term that is called as the big
- 12:53brother syndrome where India is trying
- 12:55to okay what was operation AJ and where
- 12:58was it conducted sorry sir I'm not able
- 13:00to recall right now uh now
- 13:04Narihan has been passed right yes sir do
- 13:07you think this measure is too little too
- 13:10late sir but it I if it is even if it is
- 13:13late I These kind of concrete steps are
- 13:15very important to ensure the
- 13:17participation of the women in the
- 13:19political sphere because whatever bills
- 13:21or whatever laws that are made in the
- 13:23country should have the women center
- 13:25when will it be implemented? So after
- 13:27the uh census of 2026 and the new
- 13:29delimitation when it will be conducted
- 13:31after that it will be my final question
- 13:33to you because you come from Uttar
- 13:34Pradesh. Yes sir. And Uttar Pradesh is
- 13:36known for bulldozer justice. Yes sir. So
- 13:39how is justice or bulldozer justice
- 13:41different from justice? Sir, in my
- 13:44opinion uh bulldoer bulldozer justice is
- 13:48basically a very confrontational
- 13:50approach. This should not be adopted
- 13:52because everything has a procedure
- 13:54through law. It should be taken up.
- 13:56However, the government has been uh
- 13:58taking this step. But according to
- 14:00government, it is basically done on the
- 14:02buildings etc. that have been done
- 14:04illegally. That there's an element of
- 14:06collective punishment in this. Yes sir.
- 14:08But they should be avoided. Thank you.
- 14:11Hello Shanti. Good morning. My first
- 14:14question is since you have lived in
- 14:16Banaris, right? What is the historical
- 14:17significance of Banara city? Banaris is
- 14:20basically considered to be the spiritual
- 14:22capital of Uttar Pradesh because of the
- 14:24presence of various spiritual pilgrimage
- 14:27sites like the Kashi Vishwanat temple is
- 14:29there. We also have a shakti there that
- 14:31is known as a Vishalaki temple. Apart
- 14:33from that the gart that is since it is
- 14:35located on the bank of river Ganga. The
- 14:37guts also hold a huge significance
- 14:40there. So that is why it has been
- 14:42considered as a spiritual capital. Okay.
- 14:43List some of the UNUSCO world heritage
- 14:45sites from UP. Uh ma'am one is the Taj
- 14:49Mahel
- 14:50Paturri I think I can recall only two
- 14:53right. All right. Um which city in UP is
- 14:57known as Natagree? Sorry ma'am I'm not
- 14:59aware about that. All right. Okay. uh
- 15:02you know like tell us about the problems
- 15:04of your district that you live and how
- 15:06you can overcome or what steps will you
- 15:09take to overcome those problems. Um
- 15:11three major problems as I can observe in
- 15:14Priyagar district that I have observed.
- 15:16First is the issue first is the issue of
- 15:18the lack of women participation. We I
- 15:21still see there people women are not
- 15:23actively engaged in outdoor work
- 15:25especially. Second thing is there is
- 15:28also the concern related to safety and
- 15:29security of women. Third thing that I
- 15:31would like to highlight is the problem
- 15:33that goes on there is of criminalization
- 15:36of politics is also an issue in the
- 15:38entire Uttar Pradesh as a state and Prad
- 15:41as a district even. What are the steps
- 15:43that you will take? So imam in order to
- 15:45ensure the safety and security of women.
- 15:47I think women must be aware about their
- 15:49rights. They must be educated. Education
- 15:51is a primary step in this regard. And
- 15:54talking about the criminalization of
- 15:55politics for that I think there is a
- 15:57there is a need that we come up with a
- 15:59proper uh code of conduct that has to be
- 16:02followed so that we can avoid the
- 16:04criminals in the politics as such. Some
- 16:07of the handiccrafts of eastern UP ma'am
- 16:11handiccrafts of mja products from the
- 16:12priagra which is also one district under
- 16:14the one district one product the baskets
- 16:16etc they are very famous apart from that
- 16:18badi the carpet is very famous from
- 16:20there uh from banaris the banari silk
- 16:23and from luckno the chicken curry
- 16:25embroidery is also very famous so all
- 16:27right thank you thank you uh Shaki uh
- 16:30you have done some work in the field of
- 16:33nanomaterials as well uh can you tell us
- 16:35what are nanomaterials
- 16:37Basically the particles which are in the
- 16:39size of 1 to 100 into 10 ^ - 9 m they
- 16:42are considered to be the nanop
- 16:44particles. Basically at this size the
- 16:46particle they exhibit certain specific
- 16:47characteristic features that has been
- 16:49exploited for advancement or this
- 16:52technology and other uh okay uh can you
- 16:54tell us some of the applications of
- 16:56these nanomaterials apart from
- 16:58healthcare? Uh okay sir uh apart from
- 17:00healthcare recently the liquid nanoura
- 17:02that was being patented by IFCO it can
- 17:04be used as because this will decrease
- 17:06the excessive overuse of ura and etc.
- 17:09Apart from that cordiceps nanop particle
- 17:11were also there okay those were for the
- 17:13health sector only for the drug
- 17:15delivery. Apart from that we can also
- 17:17have nano detectors etc that can be used
- 17:19for detecting say the pollutants uh et
- 17:22in the air etc. And that this will make
- 17:24it very easy for people to understand
- 17:26the uh do we see the use of nanom
- 17:28materials in the apparel industry as
- 17:30well. Yes sir. The I think recently
- 17:32there has been the use of that smart
- 17:35materials that we are talking about in
- 17:37that also there has been uh the debate
- 17:40or discussion around the use of
- 17:41nanomaterials and that okay uh you have
- 17:44done some work in the cancer uh uh drug
- 17:49delivery also. uh so of late we are
- 17:52witnessing a uh greater uh prominence of
- 17:55cancer cases uh in our population what
- 17:58could be the possible reasons for sudden
- 18:00spike in the number of cancer cases so I
- 18:02think one of the major reason for since
- 18:04cancer is basically considered to be a
- 18:06non-communicable dis mutation related
- 18:09problem that basically takes place I
- 18:11think a lifestyle could of people can be
- 18:14one reason for example there is increase
- 18:16after the covid there has been increase
- 18:18in mental health related issues also
- 18:20people have resorted to things like
- 18:21smoking etc. That could could be one
- 18:23cause health and hygiene lack of proper
- 18:25health and hygiene spec specifically in
- 18:27case of women that is late leads to
- 18:30problem like cervical cancer etc. So I
- 18:32think these are some of the reasons I
- 18:34can recall right now. Okay. Uh since you
- 18:36mentioned uh the mental health aspect uh
- 18:39so mental health is essentially a
- 18:41psychological uh problem or it has a
- 18:44biological basis also. I think sir this
- 18:47has this is a combination it's a very
- 18:49complex process the mental the mental
- 18:51health of a person is impacted by many
- 18:53factors it can be some biological health
- 18:56related issues it can also be based on
- 18:58the environment in which they are it
- 19:00also depends upon the level of stress
- 19:01they are taking etc so it is basically a
- 19:04complex process combining of v several
- 19:07other factors also okay uh I see that
- 19:09you your father was associated with the
- 19:12up police yes sir uh so in common
- 19:14perception when we talk about uh
- 19:16uniformed services in India. The army
- 19:18has a very positive image in the minds
- 19:21of people. However, the police forces is
- 19:23viewed with skepticism. Yes sir. Why is
- 19:25it so? So I think this is basically an
- 19:28issue of the behavior and lack of trust
- 19:31that exist between the people. At times
- 19:33police in several places especially
- 19:34Uttar Pradesh has been very assertive in
- 19:36exercising their power. So there is this
- 19:39is one of the reason why there is lack
- 19:40of trust among the people and the police
- 19:43and this is the reason uh why people are
- 19:46not very much comfortable or they not
- 19:47very much cordial they feel uh with the
- 19:49police department and what can be done
- 19:52to solve this problem. I think there has
- 19:54to be change in the behavioral aspect. I
- 19:56think especially the police training
- 19:57should be done such that so that they
- 19:59view the problems with sensitivity and
- 20:02they are much more cordial and they have
- 20:04to be very much more empathetic towards
- 20:05the public. So I think this could be
- 20:07okay. Uh do you know about DIPS domestic
- 20:10systemically important banks? Yes sir I
- 20:14have read about them. Uh what are these
- 20:16banks and who gives this recognition to
- 20:18any bank? So I need to read about that
- 20:20but okay no problem. Uh can you tell us
- 20:23which is the largest bank in the world?
- 20:25Uh no sir I'm sorry I'm not aware state
- 20:28bank of India. Um I suggest you read a
- 20:30little on uh that issue. Okay sir. Okay.
- 20:34Okay. Uh my final question to uh you is
- 20:37um I am assuming that you must have read
- 20:39about the GST. Uh petrol and diesel are
- 20:42not included under the uh purview of
- 20:44GST. Why? So these are basically because
- 20:48these are the major source of revenue
- 20:50for the states. So they have been left
- 20:51it up to the states in order to because
- 20:54GST was a gradual it was it is to be
- 20:57implemented gradually so that states are
- 20:58not deprived of their revenue. So there
- 21:01are certain elements like the alcohol or
- 21:03the this petrol diesel etc. It has been
- 21:05left to the states as of now. So it is
- 21:07just the petrol and diesel or there are
- 21:09any other fuels as well which are not
- 21:11under GST. Sir uh I can as I can recall
- 21:14petrol and diesel are the only fuels
- 21:15that are not under the perview of GST
- 21:17but other products like alcohol,
- 21:19newspaper etc. are also not under the
- 21:21perview of GST. It is okay. Just read
- 21:24about it a little bit. Thank you. Thank
- 21:26you Shaki. It is generally believed that
- 21:29women uh living in the indogetic basin
- 21:33are more susceptible to ovarian cancer.
- 21:37Is it scientifically proven hypothesis?
- 21:41So in my opinion it's not in scientific
- 21:43that specifically women of the gangic
- 21:46planes are exposed to ovarian cancer. I
- 21:48think this is an hygiene related issue.
- 21:50Whenever proper menstrual hygiene is not
- 21:52maintained, the women they go through
- 21:54this issue of and they develop cyst or
- 21:56cancer in their ovaries and they also
- 21:57suffer from problems of cervical cancer.
- 22:00Okay. What do you mean by new feminism?
- 22:02New feminism this is basically sir the
- 22:05that we are watching observing in the
- 22:07recent recently because of the advent of
- 22:10the digital technology a new wave of
- 22:12feminism for example the me too movement
- 22:14etc that took place. I think in my
- 22:16opinion this is the new this is your
- 22:18explanation of new feminism. Okay. One
- 22:20last question.
- 22:22You write poems, quotes. You are also a
- 22:27debater. Yes sir. Your creativity is at
- 22:30the best while writing poems or while
- 22:32debating or writing quotes. Sir and I
- 22:36think I write code. I write good quotes.
- 22:38And sir, can you share uh one or two
- 22:41good quotes which uh are very close to
- 22:44your heart? Yes sir. One quote I have
- 22:46written was cracks were the real
- 22:48weakness of the walls but cracks were
- 22:50also the reason the light entered
- 22:52within. So one is this another blessings
- 22:55are intended to be your reward yet the
- 22:58deeds are still the cause. Wonderful any
- 23:01any poem which is uh which you really
- 23:03like. Yes sir I think I okay sir I will
- 23:07try my best to recall it. Uh one poem I
- 23:10have written on what do you write is the
- 23:12theme of the poem. Okay. I write the sky
- 23:15and even moon. I write the darkness and
- 23:18also noon. I write the music and all the
- 23:21pain. I write the warriors and their
- 23:23game. I write the darkness and the
- 23:26twilight. I write the twilight and
- 23:28little fear. I write the mornings
- 23:30crystal clear. I write the walk and late
- 23:33night talks. I write the pictures always
- 23:35tall. I write the lovers and all the
- 23:38rain. And I write you above all names.
- 23:41Thank you very much. It was nice
- 23:42interacting with you. The interview is
- 23:44over. You may go down. Thank you so
- 23:45much, sir. Thank you. Thank you, sir.
- 23:48[Music]
- 23:53Come in, sir. Come
- 23:55in. Your interview date has not come. No
- 23:58sir, not yet. It's not in the first
- 24:00phase. Okay. Which attempt is this? It's
- 24:03a fourth attempt.
- 24:05Yes sir. So, how was your experience
- 24:07today with us? This experience was good
- 24:10but I need to work a lot on myself for
- 24:12being a lot of time also for that
- 24:14nothing to worry about. You see your
- 24:18first your
- 24:19positives you have an excellent
- 24:22communication skill. Thank you sir. You
- 24:24asked you questions on a variety of
- 24:26issues and you tried to answer to the
- 24:29questions to the best of your abilities
- 24:31and with a very clearly and confidently
- 24:35that is how it should be. Okay, that is
- 24:37very good in you. Your total deer, total
- 24:41persona is very good, very positive body
- 24:44language. Trace of a smile also at
- 24:46times, but by and large you appear to be
- 24:48nervous. So you have to get away
- 24:50nervousness. That is important. And you
- 24:52are not supposed to be sitting like
- 24:53this. Go back slightly and rest your
- 24:55shoulder on. Yes, this is the proper
- 24:58posture of sitting. So when you go
- 24:59there, make sure that you sit like this.
- 25:02That gives an impression that this girl
- 25:04is really positive, energetic. So you
- 25:06should appear to be energetic and
- 25:08positive. That is very important and you
- 25:10should be loving the interview session
- 25:12isn't it? It's not a uh quiz competition
- 25:15or question and answer simply some
- 25:17questions are asked and you have to
- 25:19respond to those questions to the best
- 25:21of your abilities. Again I'm telling you
- 25:23yes board will like to see whether you
- 25:25are a fit candidate for the civil
- 25:27services or not because the test of your
- 25:29personality number one is your personal
- 25:32integrity whether this girl is maintains
- 25:35her integrity or not while answering
- 25:36questions and integrity of purpose the
- 25:39way you answer questions that that
- 25:41should be that should reflect of your
- 25:44honesty. Yes isn't it? So meaning
- 25:47thereby no answers based on conjectures
- 25:50and survises. Okay. Either you know or
- 25:53you don't know. Doesn't matter if you
- 25:54don't know three four five question
- 25:55doesn't matter but no compromise on
- 25:58integrity issue. Then most of the issues
- 26:01questions try to give a very balanced
- 26:03view very after weighing pros and cons
- 26:05of alternatives give a very balanced
- 26:07view that is very stay your what you are
- 26:11your natural uh in a natural way. So be
- 26:14yourself. That is very important.
- 26:16Communication is first class. Don't ever
- 26:18try to we you didn't argue with us but
- 26:21don't ever try to argue with board
- 26:23members. Okay sir. So we are we can't
- 26:25afford to be argumentative. Okay. Yes
- 26:27sir. With all this let's come to today's
- 26:30performance. By and large these are all
- 26:32positives. You see you entered into the
- 26:36area of guesswork while talking about
- 26:39badminton. If you don't know candidly
- 26:41admit sir I don't recolct any name any
- 26:45badminton player who hs from up matter
- 26:48ends there the moment you start sal this
- 26:50that then you are in trouble then again
- 26:52make it make sure that doesn't happen
- 26:54when you go okay sir okay incidentally I
- 26:57think sad modi is a big name in up isn't
- 27:01it anyway if my basic point is if you
- 27:05don't recollect no issues but in your
- 27:08eagerness to name somebody don't Don't
- 27:10give a wrong name that that is what is
- 27:12important. Ecoli Boli I think E.coli is
- 27:16bacteria and uh boli is protojova. Okay.
- 27:21Isn't it? Yes. So that that that's the
- 27:23difference. So yeah you have done your
- 27:25post reution and all that. Somebody may
- 27:27be interested in knowing not this
- 27:29question but some other question or some
- 27:31related question. There again you you
- 27:34have to be very very attentive to
- 27:36understand the intent of the question.
- 27:37what exactly is required from me and
- 27:40then if you don't know again same thing
- 27:43same logic apply yes sir doesn't know
- 27:45you have studied that doesn't mean that
- 27:47you should be speaking without knowing
- 27:49okay GST also your question was answer
- 27:52was all right but uh on proing they said
- 27:55you said that petroleum products and all
- 27:57that it includes crude oil ATS
- 28:00everything okay if you had elaborated
- 28:03probably one your answer would have been
- 28:05one notch above
- 28:08Then in terms of market capitalization
- 28:10after this merger of SDFC and finance
- 28:12has the biggest bank in the country just
- 28:15for your information. Operation
- 28:19AJ people from Israel were lifted. Okay.
- 28:22So that is what is called there are four
- 28:24five operations as a student of
- 28:26political science and international
- 28:28affairs are supposed to be knowing all
- 28:30that. Then on
- 28:32the bully issue, India is a bully and
- 28:35all that. So your answer was okay. But
- 28:39you could have refined your answer by
- 28:42citing some examples of Gujaratal
- 28:44doctrine. We follow Gujaral doctrine. We
- 28:46follow neighborhood first policy saga
- 28:49and all those issues are there. So such
- 28:52questions which are your strong areas
- 28:55there try to think quickly
- 28:57how more refined answers I can give. Yes
- 29:01sir. So that will help you also. World
- 29:05Economic Forum and all that I mentioned
- 29:06questions there. So again bottom line is
- 29:10same either you know or you don't know.
- 29:11Yes. You don't know say I don't know
- 29:14that doesn't matter. Okay. You are from
- 29:16UP lot of issues uh are there with UP
- 29:20positive and negative both. So study
- 29:23your state thoroughly more so your
- 29:25father he's still a police officer he's
- 29:28a sub inspector. So what are the
- 29:31problems faced by the police? Number one
- 29:34particularly at the cutting edge level.
- 29:36Yes sir. What are the possible
- 29:38solutions? What are the problems faced
- 29:40by the people with police with respect
- 29:43to police? Yes sir. and technological
- 29:46innovations which have been done of the
- 29:48in the recent past to reform the police
- 29:51department. You must be aware of all
- 29:53those things including that zero fir and
- 29:56all that they should be fully aware of
- 29:57for community policing and all those
- 29:59concepts. How much expenditure in up is
- 30:02on the police department? Do you think
- 30:04it is enough or more is required to be
- 30:06done? police being sent for the
- 30:09protection of political masters. Is it a
- 30:13desirable situation where the police
- 30:15public ratio is so low in our country?
- 30:17Incidentally, you should also know what
- 30:19is the standard ratio and what is the
- 30:21national average and how UP has been uh
- 30:25doing and where does it stand and police
- 30:27reforms Singh other committees are
- 30:29there. read about police reforms also
- 30:32and the commisserate system of versus
- 30:34your traditional system. So the the
- 30:37differences I think you are a wonderful
- 30:40candidate a very good candidate for the
- 30:41civil services and just keep your head
- 30:43on your shoulder. Yes sir. Be honest and
- 30:47try to answer your questions all the
- 30:50questions which are proper understanding
- 30:53and being neutral being balanced and we
- 30:57have no doubt in your mind that the
- 30:59interview you'll be getting very good
- 31:01marks and if you have really done well
- 31:02in your main examination you should be
- 31:05in the list of successful candidates no
- 31:07doubt in our minds. If you have any
- 31:09specific question to ask feel free to
- 31:10ask. Uh no sir thank you. You have
- 31:12addressed most of I think you will be
- 31:15going in a sari. Yes. Yes. Today was the
- 31:17first day. So it's all right. Whatever s
- 31:19you wear you should know about that also
- 31:21which fabric and all that because you
- 31:23are coming from uh Uttar Pradesh
- 31:26Utradesh and then name change and all
- 31:28that. Those are very questions. Those
- 31:31questions may be asked. Then again give
- 31:33a very balanced yes yes or no. Before
- 31:36saying yes or no give logic for that.
- 31:38Okay. Your answers have to be very very
- 31:39logical. Yes sir. Okay. All the best.
- 31:42Thank you so much, sir. Thank you. Thank
- 31:44you, sir.
