  1. 0:03The assembly will hear an address by his
  2. 0:07excellency Donald Trump, President of
  3. 0:10the United States of America. I request
  4. 0:13protocol to escort his excellency and
  5. 0:16invite him to address the assembly.
  6. 0:38Thank you very much, Mr. President, Mr.
  7. 0:42Secretary General, First Lady of the
  8. 0:45United States,
  9. 0:47distinguished delegates, ambassadors,
  10. 0:49and fellow leaders.
  11. 0:52It's my great honor to welcome the world
  12. 0:55to America as we celebrate 250 years of
  13. 0:58glorious freedom and independence.
  14. 1:01Two and a half centuries after the cause
  15. 1:04of liberty found its home on this
  16. 1:07continent, I can report to you with
  17. 1:10pride that America is back and our
  18. 1:14country is stronger today than ever
  19. 1:18before.
  20. 1:21Our economy is the envy of the world.
  21. 1:23Our military is the most powerful on
  22. 1:25earth. Our technology is second to none.
  23. 1:28And we are leading in virtually
  24. 1:30everything. Our energy is fueling the
  25. 1:33planet. America is rising. Our nation is
  26. 1:37growing. Our power is expanding. Our
  27. 1:39country is doing better than ever
  28. 1:41before. And our future is very, very
  29. 1:44bright.
  30. 1:45Since I took office, we have created
  31. 1:48more than 1 million new private sector
  32. 1:50jobs, and more Americans are working
  33. 1:53today by far than ever before.
  34. 1:57Last week, it was announced that the
  35. 2:00poverty rate has reached its lowest
  36. 2:02level in American history. We lifted 1.5
  37. 2:06million Americans out of poverty last
  38. 2:09year alone, another record. The
  39. 2:12African-American and Hispanic American
  40. 2:15poverty rates are at all-time lows. Real
  41. 2:19household incomes for Americans have
  42. 2:22soared to the highest level in history,
  43. 2:2587,000 on average, surpassing the prior
  44. 2:29record that I set in my first term. From
  45. 2:33day one, my administration has worked to
  46. 2:35remove every single unnecessary
  47. 2:37regulation and obstacle to doing
  48. 2:40business in America. We passed the
  49. 2:43largest tax cuts in American history.
  50. 2:45And as a result, more money is being
  51. 2:47invested in the United States right now
  52. 2:50than has ever been invested in any
  53. 2:52nation anywhere in the world.
  54. 2:55US stock markets have set 80 all-time
  55. 2:58records, and that's just in the last
  56. 3:0312 months. We've secured commitments for
  57. 3:06$21 trillion in new investments from all
  58. 3:09over the planet, compared to less than
  59. 3:12$1 trillion in four years in the
  60. 3:15previous administration.
  61. 3:17Two years ago, our country was dead. And
  62. 3:20now, we have the hottest country
  63. 3:22anywhere in the world. Before I took
  64. 3:24office, we had the worst and most
  65. 3:26dangerous border on Earth. And now we
  66. 3:28have the most secure border in American
  67. 3:30history. Nobody comes in unless they're
  68. 3:33invited, unless they have permission. In
  69. 3:37the past 16 months, zero illegal aliens
  70. 3:39have been admitted to the United States.
  71. 3:42And that's done by some very
  72. 3:44sophisticated people. It's not done by
  73. 3:46the Trump administration. Zero. As a
  74. 3:49result, last year we achieved the
  75. 3:51largest drop in violent crime ever
  76. 3:54recorded. The murder rate has plummeted
  77. 3:57to its lowest level in 125 years since
  78. 4:01the year 1900.
  79. 4:03I sent our crime busters into Memphis,
  80. 4:06Tennessee, and New Orleans, Louisiana,
  81. 4:08and crime in each place went down over
  82. 4:1180% and it'll go down still further.
  83. 4:14More importantly, when I arrived on
  84. 4:16January 20th of last year in Washington
  85. 4:19DC, it was riddled with crime. And now
  86. 4:23crime is down 87%.
  87. 4:26And we're going for 100. Tourism is if
  88. 4:29if you take a look, and I guess a lot of
  89. 4:31you have been there, tourism is
  90. 4:34thriving. Restaurants are bustling, and
  91. 4:37people are proud of our nation's
  92. 4:39capital. They're proud like never
  93. 4:41before. We've invested more money in the
  94. 4:44United States military in the past 12
  95. 4:46months than ever before. And this term,
  96. 4:49it'll be $1.5 trillion dollar. We
  97. 4:52inherited a dark age of America from the
  98. 4:55previous administration, and we turned
  99. 4:57it into the golden age of America. The
  100. 5:01entire world is being lifted by the
  101. 5:05wealth, strength, spirit, and momentum
  102. 5:07of a newly energized and a very powerful
  103. 5:11United States of America. And just as we
  104. 5:14moved quickly to address problems we
  105. 5:16inherited at home, we have acted with
  106. 5:19decisiveness and speed to reshape the
  107. 5:22world stage and solve problems that have
  108. 5:25plagued us for far too long. every
  109. 5:28leader in this room and your great
  110. 5:30leaders, many great leaders. I know all
  111. 5:33of you very well. But they know that
  112. 5:36given only a short time to make this
  113. 5:39world better, safer, and more prosperous
  114. 5:41for our children, for the people on
  115. 5:43earth, we have to take advantage of it.
  116. 5:46As president of the most extraordinary
  117. 5:48nation in history, I have no interest in
  118. 5:50leaving dangers to grow for another day.
  119. 5:53I do not believe in letting problems
  120. 5:56fester. they only become harder to
  121. 5:58solve. So while others have talked, I
  122. 6:02have acted. While others have spoken of
  123. 6:05peace, I have made peace. While others
  124. 6:08have ignored threats, I have confronted
  125. 6:12them. While others have talked of
  126. 6:14courage, America has shown it. While
  127. 6:17others have promised strength, I have
  128. 6:20used it to make America the most
  129. 6:22powerful country in the world. Working
  130. 6:25with many nations in this room, we are
  131. 6:28solving decades of intractable
  132. 6:30challenges and we are settling years of
  133. 6:33unfinished business and we're doing it
  134. 6:35well. There is no better example of a
  135. 6:38danger that was allowed to gather
  136. 6:40strength at the world's peril than the
  137. 6:43number one sponsor of terror, the
  138. 6:46Islamic Republic of Iran. For 51 years,
  139. 6:51the fanatical Iranian regime has ruled
  140. 6:55by bloodshed and mass murder, spreading
  141. 6:58death and carnage and chaos across the
  142. 7:01entire Middle East and beyond. They were
  143. 7:05the bully of the Middle East, but they
  144. 7:06are the bully no more. From the first
  145. 7:09day I entered the political arena, I've
  146. 7:11been unwavering. I will never allow Iran
  147. 7:14to have a nuclear weapon. Upon taking
  148. 7:18office last year, I immediately opened
  149. 7:20negotiations with Iran and offered them
  150. 7:23full economic cooperation in exchange
  151. 7:25for ending their nuclear program and
  152. 7:28support for terror. But they refused.
  153. 7:31They absolutely refused. That was a big
  154. 7:33mistake. Then in Operation Midnight
  155. 7:36Hammer, the US military obliterated
  156. 7:39their nuclear program beneath mountains
  157. 7:41of rubble. And again, I urged Iran to
  158. 7:43make a deal. And again, they refused.
  159. 7:47The regime continued building a vast
  160. 7:49missile and drone stockpile that
  161. 7:52threatened the security of every
  162. 7:53American service member in the region
  163. 7:55and everyone else in the region. They
  164. 7:58also made a missile that was capable of
  165. 8:02hitting Europe and they were very proud
  166. 8:03of it. I hope the Europeans realize that
  167. 8:06Iran's goal was to complete their mad
  168. 8:10dash to a nuclear bomb from behind this
  169. 8:14conventional ballistic missile shield.
  170. 8:17If they had succeeded, that wicked
  171. 8:19regime would have been free to spread
  172. 8:21terror and death forever, knowing that
  173. 8:24any attempt to stop them would face an
  174. 8:26arsenal of nuclear annihilation.
  175. 8:30In America, we just marked the 25th
  176. 8:32anniversary of the worst terror attack
  177. 8:34in history, September 11th, which killed
  178. 8:373,000 people just a few miles from here.
  179. 8:41It's an unbelievably
  180. 8:43terrible time. In two weeks, we will
  181. 8:46mark the third anniversary of the
  182. 8:48October 7th attack in Israel, where
  183. 8:50terrorists funded by Iran tortured,
  184. 8:53mutilated, and killed 1,200
  185. 8:56very innocent civilians, including
  186. 8:58dozens of Americans and many babies.
  187. 9:01Babies. Little tiny, beautiful babies.
  188. 9:05Iran Supreme Leader celebrated that
  189. 9:07massacre and called it a service to
  190. 9:10humanity. The same regime slaughtered
  191. 9:13over 72,000 of its citizens this year.
  192. 9:16Recently, 10,000 were killed for
  193. 9:20protesting. Just imagine such a vile
  194. 9:24regime were ever empowered to carry out
  195. 9:26large-scale terror attacks from behind a
  196. 9:29nuclear shield. This was the reality we
  197. 9:32had to confront. A reality that far too
  198. 9:35many preferred to ignore. They all
  199. 9:38ignored it. Many presidents and many
  200. 9:40others just wanted to ignore it. They
  201. 9:42were unwilling to do anything about it.
  202. 9:44But they knew the problem. After giving
  203. 9:47Iran every chance for a deal, I took
  204. 9:49action to ensure that neither the United
  205. 9:52States nor any nation this whole would
  206. 9:55ever have to face such a nightmare, such
  207. 9:57a catastrophic
  208. 9:59problem. As a result of Operation Epic
  209. 10:03Fury, all 159 ships of their Navy are
  210. 10:06now lying at the bottom of the sea.
  211. 10:10Likewise, their air force is gone. Their
  212. 10:12radar is gone. Their anti-aircraft
  213. 10:15equipment is gone. Their missiles and
  214. 10:17drone manufacturing capacity is almost
  215. 10:20gone. Their economy is gone. The only
  216. 10:23thing that isn't gone is inflation,
  217. 10:26which is destroying their country and is
  218. 10:29now well over 300%.
  219. 10:33Yet, even after we agreed to a ceasefire
  220. 10:35for nuclear discussions, Iran promptly
  221. 10:38violated it with brazen acts of
  222. 10:40terrorism against civilian ships from
  223. 10:42other countries. I want to thank the UN
  224. 10:45Security Council for voting
  225. 10:47overwhelmingly to pass a resolution
  226. 10:50condemning Iran's despicable terrorist
  227. 10:53attacks on commercial shipping. Thank
  228. 10:56you very much.
  229. 10:58That resolution, I'm pleased to say,
  230. 11:00received more co-sponsors from UN member
  231. 11:04nations than any Security Council
  232. 11:07resolution in history. That's something.
  233. 11:10Now we must be equally united in
  234. 11:12maintaining pressure. The United States
  235. 11:15Navy has recently escorted more than 1
  236. 11:17billion barrels of oil out of the
  237. 11:19straight of Hormos and more oil is
  238. 11:22flowing than at any point since the
  239. 11:25start of the war. We're taking 22, 25,
  240. 11:2830, 32 and 37 ships out respectively
  241. 11:33every single day, every single night.
  242. 11:36But I have a big decision to make.
  243. 11:40Will a deal be made with Iran that lets
  244. 11:44them rebuild and create a far greater
  245. 11:47country than it ever was before, maybe
  246. 11:50one of the greatest in the Middle East
  247. 11:52or even the world?
  248. 11:55Or do I annihilate the Islamic Republic
  249. 11:58and do it quickly, never giving them a
  250. 12:01chance to kill and destroy people and
  251. 12:04countries again? Do I drive them into
  252. 12:07hell with no chance of survival and no
  253. 12:10hope of future greatness or generations?
  254. 12:14But I believe we'll make a deal right
  255. 12:16after the election because it doesn't
  256. 12:20make sense for them not to. They're
  257. 12:22waiting to see how I do in the midterm
  258. 12:24election. What they don't realize is
  259. 12:27that I'm not running. I did that already
  260. 12:31and won in a landslide. We won in a
  261. 12:33giant landslide and I'll be here for two
  262. 12:36and a half years. The Republican party
  263. 12:39is running and I'll be helping them. But
  264. 12:41I am not running. I gave absolutely no
  265. 12:45credence and will not give credence to
  266. 12:48the election when it comes to Iran. It
  267. 12:52doesn't even enter my mind. The only
  268. 12:55thing that does is that Iran will never
  269. 12:57have a nuclear weapon.
  270. 13:01The cowards and traitors. Thank you.
  271. 13:09Thank you. The cowards and traitors
  272. 13:12would love to say the United States is
  273. 13:14low on munitions, but that's not true.
  274. 13:17We have more munitions than we could
  275. 13:19ever possibly even think of using, and
  276. 13:22we're building them at levels that we
  277. 13:24have never done before. We are adding to
  278. 13:27our stock piles faster than we have ever
  279. 13:30been able to do before. Topofthe- line
  280. 13:35stuff. In addition, in the very near
  281. 13:38future, massive munition plants will be
  282. 13:40opening. There are 18 of them being
  283. 13:43built by the greatest defense companies
  284. 13:46in the world right now. 18 under
  285. 13:48construction. Some of them very quickly
  286. 13:50will be completed. They're almost there.
  287. 13:54And that rapid construction will be
  288. 13:57leading to very rapid deployment of
  289. 14:00missiles of every type and ammunition of
  290. 14:02every type. And we'll be able to supply
  291. 14:04our allies at a much faster rate than
  292. 14:07we're doing right now.
  293. 14:09I call on all nations to join us in
  294. 14:12enforcing the complete economic
  295. 14:14isolation of Iran until they stop their
  296. 14:17attacks on commercial shipping,
  297. 14:19relinquish their nuclear ambitions, and
  298. 14:22cease their support of terror. The
  299. 14:25terrorist regime is behaving badly, not
  300. 14:29because they are strong and confident,
  301. 14:32but because they are weak and desperate.
  302. 14:36If we stand united, we will soon see a
  303. 14:39world free of the last 51-year menace of
  304. 14:43Iranian terror. And oil prices will come
  305. 14:46plummeting down, even lower than they
  306. 14:48were at the start of the conflict. And
  307. 14:50they were very low. In the United
  308. 14:52States, they were really low. With
  309. 14:56courage and resolve, anything is
  310. 14:57possible. Big changes can happen and
  311. 15:01happen fast. One year ago when I
  312. 15:03addressed the great leaders this hall,
  313. 15:06the war in Gaza was still raging
  314. 15:08brutally. The hostages were still deep
  315. 15:11in Hamas tunnels and there was no end in
  316. 15:14sight. It was never going to be
  317. 15:16resolved. But here on the sidelines of
  318. 15:20the General Assembly, we took the first
  319. 15:22steps. It changed everything. A few
  320. 15:24weeks later, we ended the war in Gaza,
  321. 15:27saving untold thousands of lives. We
  322. 15:30also brought home all remaining
  323. 15:33hostages, both living and dead. Every
  324. 15:37single one of them. Thank you.
  325. 15:41[applause]
  326. 15:42Thank you. Everyone thought it was a
  327. 15:45miracle that we were able to do so and
  328. 15:48people celebrated in the streets. I want
  329. 15:50to express my gratitude to the United
  330. 15:52Nations Security Council for their
  331. 15:54unanimous endorsement of our 20point
  332. 15:57Gaza Peace Plant and for officially
  333. 16:01approving the board of peace. Going to
  334. 16:03be a very significant
  335. 16:05group of people. Nearly 30 countries
  336. 16:07have joined the board which I am honored
  337. 16:10to chair and we're thankful to many of
  338. 16:13those member nations for contributing
  339. 16:15billions and billions of dollars to
  340. 16:17relief. And it goes right to the
  341. 16:20rebuilding and relief of Morocco,
  342. 16:23Bahrain. These are the countries that
  343. 16:26gave Qatar, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Saudi
  344. 16:29Arabia, Turkey, Pakistan, and many more.
  345. 16:34That money goes right to the source,
  346. 16:37right where they need it, and they
  347. 16:38desperately need it. And those countries
  348. 16:41are very have been very generous. and
  349. 16:43others also are stepping up at numbers
  350. 16:46that nobody would even believe because
  351. 16:47they want to see people live. They want
  352. 16:50to see the humanitarian thing happen
  353. 16:53properly. They've been fantastic. I also
  354. 16:56want to thank those who have committed
  355. 16:58troops, police, and training to help
  356. 17:00stabilize Gaza, including Indonesia,
  357. 17:03Morocco, Albania, Kosovo, Kazakhstan,
  358. 17:08Egypt, Jordan, and more.
  359. 17:12Since I took office, it has been my
  360. 17:15great honor to settle eight wars and in
  361. 17:18so doing become friendly with the
  362. 17:20leaders of many of those countries. It
  363. 17:23was a great honor to do it. Numerous of
  364. 17:26these wars have gone on for many years
  365. 17:28and even decades. The reason I was able
  366. 17:31to make these settlements was the use of
  367. 17:33my relationships, very special
  368. 17:36relationships to this day. Very, very
  369. 17:39special. trade, the use of tariffs and
  370. 17:42the threat of tariffs and various other
  371. 17:45reasons depending on the country among
  372. 17:48them
  373. 17:50terms of settlement, Cambodia
  374. 17:53and Thailand, Kosovo and Serbia, the
  375. 17:58Democratic Republic of the Congo and
  376. 18:01Rwanda,
  377. 18:03Pakistan and India, Armenia and
  378. 18:07Azeraijan,
  379. 18:09and of Of course, the war in Gaza, which
  380. 18:11as I stated previously, includes the
  381. 18:13return of all hostages, both living and
  382. 18:17dead. Almost every one of these
  383. 18:19countries wrote me a letter of thank
  384. 18:21you. The prime minister of Pakistan,
  385. 18:24terrific man, said that Donald Trump was
  386. 18:27responsible for saving 30 million lives
  387. 18:30and probably many more than that. The
  388. 18:33president of Azeraijan said President
  389. 18:36Trump in six months did a miracle. It
  390. 18:38was an absolute miracle that nobody
  391. 18:40thought could be done. The prime
  392. 18:42minister of Armenia said this
  393. 18:44breakthrough would simply not have been
  394. 18:46possible without President Trump's
  395. 18:48personal engagement and his resolute
  396. 18:51commitment to peace. A president of
  397. 18:54Cambodia stated, "President Trump's
  398. 18:56extraordinary statesmanship, marked by
  399. 18:58his commitment to resolving conflicts
  400. 19:00and preventing catastrophic wars through
  401. 19:04visionary, innovative diplomacy, was
  402. 19:07most recently demonstrated in his
  403. 19:09decisive role in brokering an immediate
  404. 19:12and unconditional ceasefire and peace.
  405. 19:15This timely intervention, which averted
  406. 19:18a potentially devastating conflict, was
  407. 19:21vital in preventing a great loss of
  408. 19:23lives and paved the way towards the
  409. 19:27restoration of peace. The president of
  410. 19:30Rwanda said, "When President Trump saw
  411. 19:32the opportunity to contribute to peace,
  412. 19:34he immediately took it. This conflict
  413. 19:37has lasted for 32 years. Millions and
  414. 19:40millions of people have died.
  415. 19:44We got it settled. We've seen countless
  416. 19:47mediations and efforts, but none has
  417. 19:49succeeded in resolving the underlying
  418. 19:52issues. President Donald Trump issued a
  419. 19:55new and effective
  420. 19:58statement that really has brought great
  421. 20:01peace and space through really a
  422. 20:05breakthrough that we thought was
  423. 20:07impossible.
  424. 20:09We're working very closely with the
  425. 20:10leaders of Russia and Ukraine and we
  426. 20:13will get that one done. It's going to
  427. 20:15happen, I think, more quickly than
  428. 20:17people understand. They've they've had
  429. 20:20it.
  430. 20:2225,000 young people, mostly soldiers a
  431. 20:26month are dying. 25,000 a month. And I
  432. 20:28look at those battlefield pictures and I
  433. 20:31I really don't want to see them anymore.
  434. 20:32It's so horrible to see. 25,000 a month.
  435. 20:36Both sides. In addition, the United
  436. 20:39States and Iran will definitely get it
  437. 20:41done. We will get it done one way or the
  438. 20:43other. It's going to be done. It's going
  439. 20:44to be done fast. A lot has happened
  440. 20:47since we last gathered here one year
  441. 20:49ago. In January, at my direction, the
  442. 20:53United States military conducted a
  443. 20:55massive military operation penetrating
  444. 20:58deep into the Venezuelan capital,
  445. 21:02Caracus. descended on a heavily defended
  446. 21:06and fortified military base, one that
  447. 21:08was supposed to be flawless against
  448. 21:12attack and arrested the outlaw dictator,
  449. 21:17real criminal Nicholas Maduro. Since
  450. 21:20that day, hundreds of Venezuelan
  451. 21:22political prisoners have been freed.
  452. 21:24They've let them out of jails. and we're
  453. 21:27working closely with the leaders of
  454. 21:29Venezuela to forge a much better future
  455. 21:31for the Venezuelan people. Last month,
  456. 21:34we signed the largest oil deal in
  457. 21:37history, covering 65 billion barrels of
  458. 21:41oil, which will benefit both Venezuela
  459. 21:43and the United States enormously and
  460. 21:45help drive down the cost of energy all
  461. 21:47over the world. And that is starting to
  462. 21:50perk right now. It's coming out. The
  463. 21:53biggest oil companies in the world are
  464. 21:54going in and the numbers are absolutely
  465. 21:58incredible. When you add the United
  466. 22:01States and Venezuela together, we have
  467. 22:03more than 60% of the oil in the world.
  468. 22:06So, it's perhaps the biggest deal. It
  469. 22:10was a war, but it's perhaps the biggest
  470. 22:12deal ever made. To the victor belong the
  471. 22:17spoils. You've all heard that. Our
  472. 22:19actions in Venezuela are proof that the
  473. 22:21United States will no longer permit
  474. 22:23threats to America to gain a foothold
  475. 22:26anywhere in the Western Hemisphere. And
  476. 22:29if necessary, we will use our unmatched
  477. 22:33military might to secure the vital
  478. 22:35national interests of the United States.
  479. 22:38As you know, Venezuela had the finest
  480. 22:39equipment in the world from other
  481. 22:41countries. And guess what? It didn't
  482. 22:42work. Didn't even come close to working.
  483. 22:46For decades, other administrations
  484. 22:48allowed much of this region to be
  485. 22:50dominated by vicious gangs and
  486. 22:52bloodthirsty drug cartels, destabilized
  487. 22:55by uncontrolled migration
  488. 22:57and infiltrated by hostile foreign
  489. 23:02adversaries, foreign sick,
  490. 23:06demented
  491. 23:07adversaries. But not anymore. where we
  492. 23:10are reasserting American power,
  493. 23:12including American military power where
  494. 23:15necessary in our region and around the
  495. 23:17world to create a safer future for all
  496. 23:21of us. It's happening and it's happening
  497. 23:22quickly. Upon taking office, I
  498. 23:26designated the drug cartels as foreign
  499. 23:29terrorist organizations
  500. 23:31and unleashed the United States armed
  501. 23:34forces to eliminate them. The cartels
  502. 23:38are the ISIS of the Western Hemisphere.
  503. 23:42Not good people. They're enemies at war
  504. 23:45with civilization using murder, rape,
  505. 23:48torture, and extortion as instruments of
  506. 23:51terror. Like ISIS, they should be
  507. 23:53killed, exiled, or detained as enemy
  508. 23:57combatants without the possibility of
  509. 23:59release, which is what we're doing. To
  510. 24:01that end, the United States has carried
  511. 24:03out dozens of strikes on cartel drug
  512. 24:05boats, destroying 97% of the drugs
  513. 24:09coming into
  514. 24:11the ocean and sea. You've seen it. They
  515. 24:15disappear very quickly. And we're down
  516. 24:1890%. They're down 97%.
  517. 24:21Nobody thought that was possible. It was
  518. 24:23a big source of delivery. And three
  519. 24:26months ago, we terminated the leader of
  520. 24:28the Venezuelan gang, Tren Dearagua.
  521. 24:32Mexico is the epicenter of the cartel
  522. 24:34violence. Unfortunately, it's
  523. 24:36unacceptable for the United States to
  524. 24:38share a 2,000mi border with a territory
  525. 24:42controlled by enemy cartels.
  526. 24:45So, Mexico must reclaim control of its
  527. 24:47soil from the enemies of humanity. My
  528. 24:50administration is also seeking a
  529. 24:52fundamental change. And the situation in
  530. 24:54Cuba where the communist regime is under
  531. 24:57great pressure, the biggest pressure
  532. 25:00they've ever been under. It's an
  533. 25:02absolutely failed
  534. 25:04state.
  535. 25:06It's failing like never before. And it
  536. 25:08will fall. Marco Rubio is handling a
  537. 25:12negotiation. He's deep into negotiations
  538. 25:14with Cuba. Let's see what happens. will
  539. 25:16not allow a haven for foreign
  540. 25:19adversaries to threaten America on our
  541. 25:22own doorstep. It's right at our
  542. 25:24doorstep. The Cuban regime has also
  543. 25:27spent decades coordinating with the
  544. 25:29left-wing radicals and communist
  545. 25:30networks here in the United States. As
  546. 25:34our State Department has detailed,
  547. 25:36they've cultivated ties to subversive
  548. 25:39and radical groups such as the Communist
  549. 25:41Party USA, Antifa, and the Democrat
  550. 25:45Socialists of America. Communism will
  551. 25:48never be coming to America, but freedom
  552. 25:51will be coming to Cuba, and safety and
  553. 25:53security will be coming to Mexico. I'm
  554. 25:56very proud to tell you, we have a very
  555. 25:58good relationship with the Mexican
  556. 26:00government. We've made great strides,
  557. 26:02very great strides with Mexico. They
  558. 26:04don't want the cartels either. And when
  559. 26:07that day comes, this entire region will
  560. 26:10be a better, safer, and more beautiful
  561. 26:12place in which to live and thrive. As I
  562. 26:15announced just days ago, the United
  563. 26:18States has also reached an unprecedented
  564. 26:21agreement regarding the northern
  565. 26:23frontier of North America, the large and
  566. 26:26strategically vital piece of land known
  567. 26:29as Greenland.
  568. 26:30This agreement made with the Kingdom of
  569. 26:33Denmark, an incredible, beautiful
  570. 26:35country, and the Greenland people
  571. 26:38itself, gives the United States
  572. 26:40permanent control over security and all
  573. 26:43other needs on that territory. We will
  574. 26:45have the complete ability to do what is
  575. 26:48necessary to defend the American
  576. 26:51continent and also Europe and other
  577. 26:53places. No US adversary will ever be
  578. 26:57permitted to establish a military
  579. 26:59presence in Greenland anymore or make
  580. 27:02sensitive investments there without our
  581. 27:03express written approval. We will
  582. 27:06immediately begin the process of
  583. 27:08developing a large military presence in
  584. 27:10the appropriate locations. We will be
  585. 27:13building two very major military bases.
  586. 27:18This agreement will be signed later
  587. 27:20today and I look forward to working with
  588. 27:23the wonderful people of Denmark and
  589. 27:26Greenland. It's been a great experience,
  590. 27:28amazing experience, and we've really
  591. 27:30formed a bond in doing it by expanding
  592. 27:33America's footprint in the Arctic and
  593. 27:36North Atlantic. This deal also protects
  594. 27:38Europe in addition to America and
  595. 27:41greatly protects them. It also very much
  596. 27:45enhances NATO with who has a great
  597. 27:48leader and Mark I know you're in the
  598. 27:50audience and you are indeed a great
  599. 27:52leader Mark Ruta
  600. 27:55which is now growing stronger than ever
  601. 27:58before. NATO is doing things that nobody
  602. 28:00thought they would be able to do
  603. 28:01including raising their number to 5%
  604. 28:04from 2%
  605. 28:06number. That's a protection that's going
  606. 28:08to be much greater protection for them.
  607. 28:11We continue to seek and end the
  608. 28:13disastrous war between Russia and
  609. 28:16Ukraine, which is killing, as I said,
  610. 28:19thousands and thousands of people every
  611. 28:22month. Last week, in honor of Senator
  612. 28:25Lindsey Graeme, I signed a powerful new
  613. 28:27law passed by Congress providing me with
  614. 28:29enormous new tariff authorities, and if
  615. 28:32necessary, I will have to use them. It's
  616. 28:35time to stop the killing. I also want to
  617. 28:38recognize the extraordinary work of our
  618. 28:40great first lady who has secured the
  619. 28:43safe return of many displaced Ukrainian
  620. 28:46and Russian children back home to their
  621. 28:48families. So many. Thank you very much,
  622. 28:50first lady.
  623. 28:53Thank you very much. Where is our first
  624. 28:55lady? Where is she? She's around here
  625. 28:59someplace. I can you imagine? I can't
  626. 29:00see the first lady.
  627. 29:03Thank you very much, first lady.
  628. 29:06great job. She worked so hard on it.
  629. 29:08This year she also became the only first
  630. 29:10lady in history to preside over a
  631. 29:13meeting of the UN Security Council and
  632. 29:16she did it very well. And today she's
  633. 29:18hosting a gathering of fostering the
  634. 29:20future together which has nearly 60
  635. 29:24members to help improve the lives of
  636. 29:26young people all over the world. So
  637. 29:28Melania, thank you very much. Great job.
  638. 29:30Great job you're doing.
  639. 29:33Led by Ambassador Michael Waltz here at
  640. 29:35the United Nations, we have also worked
  641. 29:37with many countries in this room to
  642. 29:40implement the most sweeping UN reforms
  643. 29:42in history. We cut the UN budget for the
  644. 29:46first time ever, slashing it by 15% in
  645. 29:492026 and eliminated more than 4,000
  646. 29:52positions from the UN bureaucracy. The
  647. 29:56United Nations has great great
  648. 29:58potential. I've said that for many
  649. 29:59years. But it must stop imposing the
  650. 30:02far-left agenda of globalist bureaucrats
  651. 30:04who nobody ever elected. Last year, my
  652. 30:08administration was forced to intervene
  653. 30:10to stop an obscure UN body, the
  654. 30:13International Maritime Organization,
  655. 30:16from secretly establishing a first ever
  656. 30:20global carbon tax, very expensive tax to
  657. 30:24raise international shipping costs by 10
  658. 30:27to 20% and maybe more than that. There
  659. 30:30is no global government and while I'm
  660. 30:32president there will be no global taxes.
  661. 30:36The United States is equally opposed to
  662. 30:38the outofcontrol Thank you.
  663. 30:43Thank you very much. The United States
  664. 30:46is equally opposed to the out of control
  665. 30:48institution known as the International
  666. 30:51Criminal Court. We will never allow US
  667. 30:54service members or anyone else to be
  668. 30:56investigated or given show trials by an
  669. 30:59anti-American tribunal with no
  670. 31:01jurisdiction over us. You're an evil
  671. 31:03group of people. I call on all nations
  672. 31:06that are members of the IC to officially
  673. 31:09resign from this rogue institution
  674. 31:12immediately. It is equally unacceptable
  675. 31:14that with all the genuine atrocities in
  676. 31:17the world, the UN's top human rights
  677. 31:20officials spend their time criticizing
  678. 31:22the United States for protecting our
  679. 31:24children from transgender mutilization
  680. 31:27and transgender insanity
  681. 31:31and enforcing our immigration laws.
  682. 31:35What they do is unbelievable what they
  683. 31:37do. It's transgender mutilization of our
  684. 31:41children. The craven hypocrites of human
  685. 31:44rights council have little to say about
  686. 31:47the persecution of Chris Christians. I
  687. 31:50mean, Christians are being persecuted
  688. 31:52all over the world. It's not even
  689. 31:53believable. I never thought I'd say it,
  690. 31:55but it's been happening for a long time.
  691. 31:58So, this is persecution of Christians
  692. 32:00who are the crimes of the world's most
  693. 32:03repressive regimes. Yet, they want
  694. 32:05America to open up our borders to gangs
  695. 32:07and criminals from world's most
  696. 32:09dangerous places. They want the worst
  697. 32:12people to come in from the worst places
  698. 32:14on earth. And we don't do it anymore. We
  699. 32:17did do it, but we don't do that anymore.
  700. 32:20It is deeply ironic that the United
  701. 32:22Nations has an entire institution, the
  702. 32:24UNESCO
  703. 32:27group of people and countries devoted to
  704. 32:30protecting cultural heritage. Yet with
  705. 32:33their ceaseless promotion of mass
  706. 32:35migration, these globalists are actively
  707. 32:38destroying the greatest cultures and
  708. 32:40most extraordinary heritage in all of
  709. 32:42history. There is no human right to
  710. 32:45illegal immigration, but there is a
  711. 32:48right to remain a sovereign nation and
  712. 32:50we want to remain a sovereign nation and
  713. 32:53so should you. The United States also
  714. 32:56totally rejects any attempt to construct
  715. 32:59a globalist scheme to control for the
  716. 33:02artificial intelligence being spoken of
  717. 33:05so much now here and after officially
  718. 33:08called super intelligence changing the
  719. 33:11name and that the use of the word
  720. 33:14artificial makes intelligence fake. It
  721. 33:16makes it sound fake and it is not fake.
  722. 33:19It's actually amazing but we have to be
  723. 33:23careful. In fact, it is exactly the
  724. 33:26opposite of what it purports. From this
  725. 33:29point forward, all of United States
  726. 33:32documents and hopefully the worlds will
  727. 33:34be changed to use the much more accurate
  728. 33:36term super as opposed to artificial. So,
  729. 33:41it's super intelligence.
  730. 33:44In other words, welcome to the new world
  731. 33:46of super intelligence-
  732. 33:49SI.
  733. 33:51Let's see if that goes. It sounds much
  734. 33:53better. It is much better. And it's much
  735. 33:55more accurate. Let's see if I have any
  736. 33:57power. Maybe I do and maybe I don't.
  737. 34:00We're going to find out pretty soon.
  738. 34:02Super intelligence. Every major new
  739. 34:04technology brings challenges. And super
  740. 34:07intelligence is no exception. Yet the
  741. 34:11very same people who said we'll all be
  742. 34:13dead in 12 years because of global
  743. 34:15warming. A name since reborn to climate
  744. 34:18change because the planet was cooling,
  745. 34:20not warming. and nobody was dead. These
  746. 34:24are the same people that are now saying
  747. 34:25that AI is going to kill us all, that
  748. 34:27robots are going to attack us, and that
  749. 34:30everything is going to be a total
  750. 34:31disaster. Same group of people.
  751. 34:35This is the group that came up with the
  752. 34:39Russia Russia Russia hoax, the Ukraine,
  753. 34:42Ukraine, Ukraine hoax,
  754. 34:45climate change, open borders.
  755. 34:49Whoever wins AI, you have to remember
  756. 34:51this. And now I say, whoever wins SI,
  757. 34:55whoever wins super intelligent wins.
  758. 35:00That's the group that wins. And we're
  759. 35:02leading now over China by a lot and
  760. 35:04everyone else. And we're going to keep
  761. 35:07it that way. We're going to keep it
  762. 35:09very, very straight and very strong. I'm
  763. 35:12not going to stifle growth of something
  764. 35:14that will be bigger than the industrial
  765. 35:16revolution. many say bigger than the
  766. 35:18industrial revolution or the internet
  767. 35:21itself and we will be very careful and
  768. 35:24that's why we have a department of
  769. 35:26justice that we've already used it
  770. 35:28having to do with this very subject and
  771. 35:29used it very powerfully everything
  772. 35:32worked out very well and very quickly
  773. 35:34and other law enforcement bodies that
  774. 35:36will rein things in if we have to do
  775. 35:40that but we will only encourage
  776. 35:43super intelligence we're going to
  777. 35:45encourage it not reign it in. We're
  778. 35:47going to watch it closely through the
  779. 35:49Department of Justice. The United States
  780. 35:52leads the world in super intelligence
  781. 35:54and will continue to do so safely and
  782. 35:57responsibly. Americans have never been a
  783. 36:00nation that retreats from a frontier or
  784. 36:02shrinks from a challenge, no matter how
  785. 36:05great or how daunting that challenge may
  786. 36:08be. Freedom was not a gift that
  787. 36:10Americans won easily after 250 years.
  788. 36:14and it is not one that we will ever,
  789. 36:17ever, ever surrender. It was right here
  790. 36:20in New York City that George Washington
  791. 36:22ordered the Declaration of Independence
  792. 36:25read to his troops in 1776
  793. 36:29as they listened to those immortal words
  794. 36:31for the first time. The Patriots could
  795. 36:33see across the waters of New York Harbor
  796. 36:35to a British invasion fleet. More than
  797. 36:38100 ships strong which had just arrived
  798. 36:42to crush the cause of liberty. Thousands
  799. 36:45of soldiers getting off those ships.
  800. 36:48Nobody stood a chance. But we won and we
  801. 36:50won decisively. Those first Americans
  802. 36:53knew that it is not enough merely to
  803. 36:55believe in great principles. We must
  804. 36:58also have the will and the courage and
  805. 37:00the strength to defend them as we gather
  806. 37:03in this same city two and a half
  807. 37:06centuries later to discuss the great
  808. 37:09events of our time. That is the
  809. 37:11challenge for every nation in this room.
  810. 37:16If we go forward strong and united
  811. 37:18against the enemies of all humanity. If
  812. 37:21we reject the voices who would have us
  813. 37:24give in to fear and doubt. If we refuse
  814. 37:27to shrink from our duties to our people,
  815. 37:31then together through bold action, we
  816. 37:34will make this world far safer and a far
  817. 37:37better place. We will leave our nations
  818. 37:40far stronger. We will grow our economies
  819. 37:44far bigger. And we will not just speak
  820. 37:47of peace, prosperity, and justice here
  821. 37:50at the United Nations. We will stand for
  822. 37:52them all over the world. Together, we
  823. 37:55will build a future for a people that is
  824. 37:58brighter, more hopeful, and more
  825. 38:00magnificent
  826. 38:02than ever before. Thank you. God bless
  827. 38:05the nations of the world, and God bless
  828. 38:08America. Thank you very much, everybody.
  829. 38:15[applause]
  830. 38:27On behalf of the assembly, I wish to
  831. 38:30thank the President of the United
  832. 38:32States.
