- 0:00Meta is about to release Andromeda V2.
- 0:03Andromeda's been one of the most
- 0:04important, most impactful updates to the
- 0:06Meta algorithm ever. I got early access
- 0:09to a white paper breaking everything
- 0:10down. So, in this video, I'm going to
- 0:12walk you through the white paper, show
- 0:13you exactly how Meta's doubling down on
- 0:15this algorithm, and I'll show you the
- 0:17three most important things that you
- 0:18need to do in your ad account right now
- 0:19to get the best possible results in this
- 0:22new era of advertising. At this point,
- 0:24if you are not playing by the exact
- 0:26Andromeda rules, you are going to fall
- 0:28behind in your ad account regardless of
- 0:30the category that you're working in. So,
- 0:32this was sent to me as early access, and
- 0:35the title of this is going to be inside
- 0:37the three new AI innovations in ad
- 0:39ranking improving your ad performance.
- 0:42Now, the first key note we get here is
- 0:43that in the second quarter of 2026,
- 0:45improvements to the ranking system, so
- 0:47improvements to the changes that they
- 0:49made, drove an 8.3% increase in ad
- 0:52clicks and a 15.7%
- 0:54uplift in conversions for Facebook. And
- 0:56then I think this is one of the most
- 0:58important hidden sentences of this
- 1:00entire piece. This year, AI behind Meta
- 1:03ads got better at three specific jobs.
- 1:06The one that I care about by far the
- 1:07most, it considers more of your ads
- 1:10you've made. This means that we're going
- 1:11to see less and less ads go all the way
- 1:14down to the bottom and never get any
- 1:15spend. Meta goes on to explain Andromeda
- 1:18as a ranking system where they narrow
- 1:21tens of millions of ads down to a short
- 1:23list that they actually consider showing
- 1:25to someone. Now, in the original version
- 1:27of Andromeda, all that compute happened
- 1:29at the very beginning. So, they had that
- 1:32ranking process, which then narrowed
- 1:34down just a few ads that they thought
- 1:35would be applicable that they should
- 1:37actually spend money on. The next
- 1:39generation of Andromeda has taken a
- 1:41completely different approach. Rather
- 1:43than running one general model across
- 1:45everything, Andromeda now routes each ad
- 1:48to specialized expert models, which
- 1:50means it brings near ranking judgment to
- 1:53the retrieval system. In production, the
- 1:55system scopes every eligible ad and
- 1:57services the top candidates at over 1
- 2:00billion ads per second. Now, I think
- 2:03this statement right here is very
- 2:04powerful and breaks down the key
- 2:05difference. In 2025, we described
- 2:08Andromeda as a personal concierge who
- 2:10knows your taste so well, they don't
- 2:13just know that you covet shoes, they
- 2:15know you like red flip-flops at the
- 2:17beach. What changed is they now walk the
- 2:20entire store before they check the
- 2:22shelves they knew best. Now, they read
- 2:24every label on every shelf in the same
- 2:27amount of time and still bring back the
- 2:29handful of things that you'd actually
- 2:31want. For your business, this means more
- 2:34of your ads, creative variations, and
- 2:36products are considered for each person,
- 2:39more shelves read at the same instant,
- 2:43and a better chance the right one
- 2:44reaches the person it suits best. Now,
- 2:47everyone in the Facebook ads world knows
- 2:49about Andromeda. They've seen what this
- 2:52has done to their ad accounts across the
- 2:53board, many of which have grown
- 2:55tremendously because of it because
- 2:56you're actually able to target the right
- 2:58avatars, the right people, the right
- 2:59problems, the right solutions. This is
- 3:02very, very key to the fundamental setup
- 3:04of Andromeda. But, what most people
- 3:06don't understand is there's more of a
- 3:07back-end to what happens after the first
- 3:10step, the retrieval system of the
- 3:12Andromeda algorithm after it begins.
- 3:14Now, I'll go through these updates very
- 3:15quickly, but there's two pieces that you
- 3:17do need to know that I think are very
- 3:19important. Most people are just
- 3:21completely putting this right over their
- 3:23head. So, first off, there's Meta Gem.
- 3:25They consider this the super brain that
- 3:27now teaches the whole class. And I'm
- 3:29just going to go down to this said
- 3:31differently part cuz I think it's very
- 3:32important. In 2025, we compared Gem to a
- 3:35super brain that could read your entire
- 3:37ads library in seconds and connect every
- 3:39detail. But, a brain that only answers
- 3:41one question can only help so much. Now,
- 3:44that brain studies everything across all
- 3:47our apps, works out what's generally
- 3:49true about how people move towards a
- 3:51purchase, and then trains hundreds of
- 3:53specialist models that are doing
- 3:55real-time work of matching your ad to
- 3:56the right person. Think about it very
- 3:58simply like this. Andromeda finds the
- 4:01best ads already preset, it matches them
- 4:04to the right people, and then GEM is the
- 4:06big web that actually understands which
- 4:10journey does someone need to go on. Do
- 4:12they need to see ad number one, then ad
- 4:14number seven, then ad number 19, then
- 4:15back to ad number one until they
- 4:17convert? Meta is not singular, GEM is
- 4:19the web, and it just got way better. And
- 4:21then the final piece to this puzzle, or
- 4:23at least the pieces that they're telling
- 4:25us about, Meta Gen Rex. Now, Gen Rex is
- 4:28almost combining these two things
- 4:29together. It's taking that web that GEM
- 4:32is, and then it's taking that Andromeda
- 4:34retrieval system, and it's kind of
- 4:35merging it together. This is almost like
- 4:37the third check, if you will. And
- 4:39basically what Gen Rex is doing is it's
- 4:41answering the one question extremely
- 4:43well, how likely is this person to click
- 4:46or convert on a given ad. So, this just
- 4:49means simply we have better ads being
- 4:51delivered to our avatars. Now, you
- 4:54probably heard me say avatars about five
- 4:55times in this video, and it's not said
- 4:57once in this white paper, but is the key
- 4:59to actually adhering to these algorithm
- 5:01updates. So many people are terrified of
- 5:03the Andromeda algorithm or the changes
- 5:05that Meta has made, but I'll tell you
- 5:07for a fact that the brands that we work
- 5:08with at the Moonlighters have grown more
- 5:10than ever since the Andromeda algorithm
- 5:13has been updated. We've literally gotten
- 5:14the best results of all time since we've
- 5:17started our agency since the Andromeda
- 5:20update. And that's because we understand
- 5:21the rules that you actually need to play
- 5:23by. So, let me give you three very key
- 5:25things that you could do right now in
- 5:26your ad account to make sure that you're
- 5:28set up in the best possible way. We have
- 5:30the creative itself, the avatars, and
- 5:32then offers. So, I want to start with
- 5:34just the simple creative format. When it
- 5:37comes to building what creatives you
- 5:39actually want, you need to think of both
- 5:41top of funnel creative and bottom of
- 5:43funnel creative. This is going to allow
- 5:45these retrieval systems to match the
- 5:47correct ad based on where that person is
- 5:49in their buying journey. For example, at
- 5:52top of funnel, you might want to have
- 5:54very in-depth long-form video that's
- 5:57problem-and-solution oriented. A place
- 5:59where you introduce your product, you
- 6:01introduce your brand, you introduce your
- 6:02service, and then you very clearly
- 6:04articulate what it is that you're
- 6:06solving in the market and what makes
- 6:08your product better. Then for your
- 6:09bottom of funnel ads, we're talking easy
- 6:12objection ads. These could be static
- 6:13images, they could be videos, they could
- 6:15be carousels. It actually doesn't matter
- 6:17on the format too much. What's more
- 6:19important is that you're just hitting
- 6:21the most clear objections that you get.
- 6:24And if you don't know your objections,
- 6:25ask your abandoned carts why they
- 6:28abandoned. Figure out why people are not
- 6:30purchasing or why people were hesitant
- 6:32to purchase. Figure it out and then
- 6:34clearly articulate in your ads how
- 6:36you've solved this objection. Now, the
- 6:38second piece is avatars. When it comes
- 6:41to avatars, this is the entire keystone
- 6:44piece to the algorithm right now.
- 6:45Avatars are not as simple as a
- 6:47demographic. They're not as simple as
- 6:49targeting men over 35 years old, women
- 6:5245-plus. That is not what an avatar is.
- 6:55An avatar is a kind of person. It is a
- 6:57persona. It is someone who has a set of
- 7:00problems that your product can solve.
- 7:03So, for example, an easy avatar to
- 7:05understand is new moms who have no time.
- 7:08That is a very clear avatar who has a
- 7:11subset of problems that we can position
- 7:14our product to solve. It could be
- 7:16construction workers that work from 9:00
- 7:18to 5:00. That's a very easy avatar. Now,
- 7:21you might want to get a little bit more
- 7:22specific than that, but start to build
- 7:24your avatars around personas, not just
- 7:27around some age demographic or some very
- 7:30simple definable audience breakdown.
- 7:33Once you create your avatar, you speak
- 7:35to your avatar in your ads. So, you make
- 7:38sure your ads speak very directly to
- 7:39whomever your avatar is. Very, very
- 7:42clearly. I want to stress this point
- 7:44times a thousand here. You need to call
- 7:46out your avatar directly in your ads in
- 7:49order for them to be shown to your
- 7:51avatar. And then we tie this all
- 7:53together with offers. Offers is how you
- 7:56get your avatar to buy. You can get
- 7:59people to your website, you can get
- 8:00people to click, shop, get to your
- 8:01checkout, but to get someone to actually
- 8:03buy, you need to get them over the hump.
- 8:05You need to build trust or value. Value
- 8:08is the easiest thing to build. Trust
- 8:10comes after the first purchase. And when
- 8:13it comes to offers, most people think of
- 8:15hard discounts. They just think 30% off,
- 8:1750% off, buy one get one free. Instead,
- 8:20you should be trying to add more value.
- 8:22A good offer is not cheap. A good offer
- 8:24actually increases your average order
- 8:27value and therefore your margin per
- 8:29order. So, think of things in a more
- 8:31unique way. Maybe it's a buy two get one
- 8:33free. Where actually by buying two, you
- 8:36save on shipping costs for two items and
- 8:39the third item is negligible in cost.
- 8:41Maybe it's buy more save more. Where
- 8:43yes, you are discounting, but you're
- 8:45increasing your average order value so
- 8:46much that again, you're offsetting these
- 8:49costs. Maybe it's something as simple as
- 8:52free gift with purchase. When you buy
- 8:54over a certain amount, you get the free
- 8:56sample kit or the welcome kit. Or it's a
- 8:58subscribe and you get the welcome kit.
- 9:00Anything along these lines add value
- 9:03without compromising your entire margin.
- 9:05We're not trying to work down. We're
- 9:06trying to add to provide more value to
- 9:09the customer. And when we've done these
- 9:10three things in the Andromeda algorithm,
- 9:13we've seen tremendous results. Literally
- 9:15the best results we've ever gotten in
- 9:16the history of our ad performance
- 9:18agency. So, just like Meta is doubling
- 9:20down on their algorithm, we are going to
- 9:22continue to double down on creative,
- 9:24avatars, and offers. I think this is the
- 9:26key right now. I'm very excited for
- 9:28what's about to happen. I think these
- 9:30updates are a net positive. I think
- 9:32we're going to see more ads actually
- 9:34surfacing, more tests that are going to
- 9:36be able to be run. Overall, this should
- 9:38be a big win heading into the fourth
- 9:39quarter. By the way, if you want like
- 9:40the earliest earliest earliest access to
- 9:42information like this, I shared this the
- 9:44moment I got this inside of my school
- 9:46community. school.com/facebook. If you
- 9:48want to learn way way way more about
- 9:50what we do, all the processes that we
- 9:52run on our side to get the best results
- 9:54for the clients that we operate with,
- 9:55you can click this video right here.
- 9:57It's completely free to watch. That's
