4:00this comes from proverbs
4:02we even get the old testament in here
4:04lamentations proverbs
4:06when you say it is right and just
4:09that's because proverbs 21 3 says to do
4:11righteousness and justice
4:14is more acceptable to the lord it is
4:16right and just
4:18you don't even think about these words
4:21they're right out of scripture
4:22now the priest goes and he reads the
4:25preface
4:27and what is the preface
4:29the preface starts out it is truly right
4:32and just
4:33our duty and our salvation always and
4:35everywhere to give you thanks father
4:37most holy through your beloved son jesus
4:40christ now what is going on here
4:44this is the preface again it applies to
4:47a specific feast if it's a martyr or a
4:50feast of uh mary
4:53but it's specific to the season or the
4:55feast but it is thanksgiving
4:59one of the four parts of every prayer
5:02that you make you can remember with the
5:04little acronym acts

5:10prayers you make should have those four
5:12things a is adoration
5:14just adoring our lord acknowledging he
5:17is god
5:18c contrition
5:20i'm sorry lord from the bottom of my

5:29telling him thank you it's a public
5:31announcement that we are thanking him
5:34for sending the gift of his son

7:22time to do all the eucharistic prayers
7:24so i'm just going to do eucharistic
7:26prayer 2 the shortest one but man if i
7:29could have all day with you and i could
7:31go through the roman canon which is
7:32eucharistic prayer one
7:35i tell you some of you would become
7:36daily communicants
7:38because you would see oh my what this
7:41mass has to offer all right so let's
7:43just look at eucharistic prayer too
7:45eucharistic prayer to the priest then as
7:48he's now ready to enter in to the
7:50eucharistic prayer
7:52raises his hands he extends his hands
7:55and he looks up and he says you are
7:56indeed holy o lord the fount of all
7:59holiness

8:36why the epiclesis that's an invocation
8:40of the holy spirit the priest is now
8:42calling down the holy spirit the priests

8:47to send the spirit
8:49to change the bread and the wine into
8:52the body and blood
8:55of christ by the ministry of the priest
9:00epiclesis means to call down
9:03so now the priest says
9:04make holy therefore these gifts we pray
9:08by sending down your spirit upon them
9:11like the dewfall
9:13now where does that come from
9:17all right that they may become
9:20the body
9:21and blood of our lord jesus christ and
9:25the priest makes the sign of the cross
9:27important because john 6 verse 53 most
9:31important part of the bible in my
9:33opinion
9:34jesus said to them truly truly i say
9:36unto you unless you eat the flesh of the
9:39son of man and drink his blood you have
9:42no life in you
9:43this is why the priest says that they
9:45may become the body and blood of our
9:48lord jesus christ we're basically saying
9:51what john 6
9:53in the gospel says

9:55blessings are in two ways
9:57you ever see a priest give a blessing
10:00how does he give a blessing at the end
10:01of mass

10:05you ever see a priest that the day he's
10:07ordained
10:08and people come and stand on the kneeler

10:14does he not put his hands on your head
10:16these are the two forms of blessing and
10:18you get them both
10:19in the epiclesis the priest is laying
10:22his hands down calling down upon the
10:23holy spirit he blesses and then he gives
10:26the sign of the cross the two forms of
10:28blessing laying on of hands or by making
10:31the sign of the cross during the
10:32eucharistic prayer the priest does both
10:36the priest ask the holy spirit to
10:38transform these gifts into christ and
10:41actually later
10:43the priest is going to ask the holy
10:44spirit to come down
10:46and transform you
10:48does anybody here know that there's a
10:50second epiclesis
10:52there's a second calling down of the
10:54holy spirit the first is to change this
10:56bread and by the way even though i'm
10:58saying the eucharistic prayers i'm not
11:00consecrating the bread or the wine
11:02because the priest has to have the
11:03intent
11:04this is not an inval or um
11:07what do you call it a irreverent mass
11:09because this is not a mass
11:11i'm not confecting the eucharist i'm
11:13just reading the prayers but no intent
11:15to consecrate okay so please don't be
11:17offended that father's not treating
11:19reverently a consecrated it's not

11:22but
11:23i later the in the mass the priest will
11:25call down the holy spirit in a second
11:27epiclesis to transform you
11:31just like the bread and the wine

15:10you can get in about a month i do a talk
15:12on eucharistic miracles that it is
15:14actually heart human heart tissue
15:17the human blood that shows up on these
15:19bleeding hosts
15:21they have no y chromosome which means no
15:24earthly father they have living white
15:27blood cells which means if i took blood
15:29out of any one of you
15:31the living white blood cells would die
15:32in 30 to 60 minutes
15:35yet these eucharistic miracles with
15:36bleeding hosts have living white blood
15:38cells for years later
15:41it defies science
15:44because it's truly the living christ
15:48all right
15:49and on this dvd if you get it i show a
15:51slide to some of these eucharistic
15:53miracles
15:54and so this is what's going on here now

16:11and he took a cup and when he had given
16:13thanks he gave it to them and they all
16:15drink of it and he said to them this is
16:17my blood of the covenant which is poured
16:19out for many
16:21that scripture
16:23sounds pretty much like the missile
16:24doesn't it
16:25or we go to corinthians 11 verse 24
16:28and when he had given thanks he broke it
16:31and said to them this is my body which
16:33is for you do this in remembrance of me
16:37in the same way also the cup after
16:40supper saying this cup is the new
16:42covenant in my blood do this as often as
16:45you drink it in remembrance of
16:48me non-catholics will tell you that when
16:51jesus said do this in memory me he means
16:53that when we do it in the mass today
16:55we're doing it symbolically in honor of
16:57what he did
16:59untrue
17:00the word remembrance in the ancient
17:03language is aminesis in the greek
17:07and as christ uses it it doesn't mean to
17:09remember the past
17:11amonesis means to make present
17:15the past for all eternity and this is
17:18what the mass does
17:20the mass makes present for all eternity
17:22this sacrifice
17:24all right now
17:27this
17:28remembrance of christ's passion death
17:30and resurrection is used how the jewish
17:32people use it to celebrate passover
17:36it is not simply remembering or
17:37celebrating event of the past it is
17:40actually making present a real event
17:43here and now
17:44that we can shear into the paschal
17:47mystery
17:48and i'm going to explain to you in a
17:50minute that when you come to mass you're
17:52actually at calvary
17:54not remembering it all right now i'm
17:56going to go back to that line
17:58it's in mark and we change it in the

19:09who is he talking about when we went to
19:11the gospel of mark and changed it to be
19:13poured out for many who's the only
19:15person not included that christ poured
19:18out his blood to redeem
19:24satan
19:25no we're talking about humanity

19:30he poured his blood out for mary
19:32because she needed a savior she needed a
19:34redeemer

19:53geez it makes it sound like the catholic
19:55church is saying there's some who won't
19:56be saved there's some you guys don't

20:01we as catholics believe jesus did die
20:03for everybody he shed his blood for
20:04everybody well no you don't he says it
20:05right there for many and you know who
20:07you many think it is you catholics
20:11that's who you think your mini is
20:15what you answer to that is say no that's
20:17for all of mankind oh well then it would
20:19say all no jesus is the only one
20:22he died for everybody else
20:24this is very important

23:29of his death and resurrection we offer

23:34chalice of salvation again right out of
23:36scripture john 6 51

23:41which comes down from heaven if he eats
23:44this bread he will live forever
23:46so we just said in the missile is the
23:48bread of life and the chalice of
23:50salvation salvation means you'll live
23:52forever

23:56you have held us worthy to be in your

25:57adam and eve didn't share in the divine

27:38this is why our faith is so different

29:41scripture the cup of blessing which we
29:43bless is it not the participation of the
29:46blood of christ
29:47i'm reading from scripture now the bread
29:49which we break is it not a participation
29:52of the body of christ i just read in the
29:54missile partaking in the body and blood
29:56of christ
29:57right out of scripture
29:59then it says we are gathered into one
30:02by the holy spirit where does that come
30:03from same passage because there is one
30:06bread we are many
30:09we who are many are one body
30:15there it is
30:16we are gathered into one by the holy
30:19spirit it's right out of

30:23first corinthians chapter 10 verse 16.

30:27this is the second epicthesis
30:30this
30:31is where the people are transformed and
30:33sanctified by the holy spirit

30:42and bring her to the fullness of charity
30:45together with francis our pope and our
30:47bishop and all the clergy

30:51so faith hope and
30:54love abide in the greatest of these is

38:14called sanctification or divinization we
38:16are being returned to god the father
38:18better than where we before remember the
38:21six million dollar man
38:23he was just a man before he got broken
38:26then after they made him the six million

38:35we were redeemed we were made better so

39:57divine love of god and in in all of
40:00creation is present
40:03because this is eternally present the
40:05sacrifice of the son

42:05that's what's happening in the mass

42:42call the mass a wedding the mass is a
42:44wedding but who's the groom

43:03wedding who's waiting for the bride at
43:05the altar
43:07the groom

44:25book of revelation is about it's not

51:12priest doesn't have to do that now the
51:15key kiss of peace is at the discretion

51:25this was to take away any fear and
51:27anxiety satan has three tools today

52:05is what satan wants you to fall into all

52:08so when we approach holy communion we
52:10need to shed our fears and turn to each
52:13other for reconciliation next is what we
52:16call the fraction right so the priest

52:20and he breaks the host
52:22and he breaks the host and what does he
52:24do he places a small piece
52:26of the host
52:28into the chalice does he not
52:30all right why this is showing the
52:32uniting of christ's body and blood
52:35the priest when he does that says may
52:38this mingling of the body and blood of
52:39our lord jesus christ bring eternal life
52:42to us who receive it this is important
52:45because as some have explained this is a
52:47sign of christ's resurrection
52:49a body without blood is dead
52:52but when christ's body is reunited with
52:55his blood he is risen
52:58so this is the reuniting okay meanwhile
53:01the priest says lamb of god you take
53:03away the sins of the world have mercy on
53:05us lamb of god you take away the sins of

53:08three times to grant us peace is the
53:10third time where does this come from
53:12again in the bible the lamb was the

1:01:03the word goodbye means god be with you
