  1. 0:00You got to watch this. Praying versus
  2. 0:02declaring versus decreeing. What's the
  3. 0:05difference?
  4. 0:06There's a lot of confusion with the body
  5. 0:08of Christ right now with words like
  6. 0:11declare it, decree it, speak it into
  7. 0:13existence.
  8. 0:15And some people have gone to extremes.
  9. 0:17So, let's bring this back to scripture.
  10. 0:19First, prayer.
  11. 0:22Prayer is a relationship. Prayer is
  12. 0:24petition.
  13. 0:25Prayer is submission.
  14. 0:27Jesus taught us to pray, "Our Father,
  15. 0:29your will be done."
  16. 0:31Prayer isn't commanding God. Prayer is
  17. 0:34communion with God.
  18. 0:36It's surrender before its authority.
  19. 0:39Now, here's where it shifts.
  20. 0:42Declaring is different from asking.
  21. 0:44When you declare something biblically,
  22. 0:47you're proclaiming what God has already
  23. 0:49said.
  24. 0:50For example, "I am forgiven. I am
  25. 0:53redeemed. No weapon formed against me
  26. 0:56shall prosper." That's not manifesting.
  27. 0:59That's agreement.
  28. 1:01Declaring is alignment with truth.
  29. 1:04You're speaking what heaven has already
  30. 1:06written.
  31. 1:07Now, decreeing goes one step further.
  32. 1:11A decree is an authoritative enforcement
  33. 1:13of what is already legally established.
  34. 1:16In scripture, kings made decrees because
  35. 1:19they had jurisdiction.
  36. 1:21The question becomes, "What jurisdiction
  37. 1:23do believers have?"
  38. 1:25Luke 10:19 says, "I give you authority."
  39. 1:28Authority is delegated power. So, when
  40. 1:31you decree, you're not inventing
  41. 1:33outcomes. You're enforcing what Christ
  42. 1:35already purchased. There's a difference
  43. 1:38between saying, "God, please break this
  44. 1:41chain." and saying, "By the authority of
  45. 1:43Jesus Christ, this chain is broken."
  46. 1:47One is petition, the other is
  47. 1:49enforcement.
  48. 1:51But, here's the danger.
  49. 1:54You cannot decree what heaven has not
  50. 1:56authorized. Declarations must be rooted
  51. 1:59in scripture. Decrees must be aligned
  52. 2:02with God's will. Otherwise, it becomes
  53. 2:05human and it dressed up in spiritual
  54. 2:08language. We don't decree our ego. We
  55. 2:10decree God's word. We don't declare our
  56. 2:14fantasies. We declare his promises.
  57. 2:17When done correctly,
  58. 2:19prayer invites heaven. Declaration
  59. 2:22aligns your mouth with truth and decree
  60. 2:25enforces spiritual authority. And your
  61. 2:28voice matters.
  62. 2:29Proverbs says life and death are in the
  63. 2:31power of the tongue.
  64. 2:33But your voice becomes powerful when
  65. 2:35it's submitted.
  66. 2:37Authority flows out of surrender.
  67. 2:39The prophetic voice is not loudness.
  68. 2:42It's aligned
