  1. 0:01Hello.
  2. 0:02Hi, welcome to my YouTube channel.
  3. 0:04So, in this video I will discuss on the
  4. 0:08Odoo module structure, okay? So, today's
  5. 0:12agenda is
  6. 0:13module structure.
  7. 0:15How to create the module in the Odoo
  8. 0:18from the basic, okay? Let's
  9. 0:22See, I'm open this one
  10. 0:24a company, Cybrosys is a
  11. 0:26a high top-level company and this is the
  12. 0:30simply explain the everything in the
  13. 0:33uh
  14. 0:34syntax, okay?
  15. 0:36So, basically click on uh search here
  16. 0:39Odoo
  17. 0:41module structure.
  18. 0:44First link
  19. 0:45click on the first link
  20. 0:47and simply open, okay? So, simply he's
  21. 0:51explain everything in the uh our website
  22. 0:55our website, okay? So, here you can see
  23. 0:59uh one screen is sold here. First is the
  24. 1:01module name is the theme sale on and
  25. 1:04after that the uh controller and data
  26. 1:07and models. So, this is the uh theme
  27. 1:10sale on is the module technical name,
  28. 1:13okay?
  29. 1:14Inside the
  30. 1:16this folder
  31. 1:17first is the controller
  32. 1:19inside the controller you can create
  33. 1:23a Python file, right? If you create in
  34. 1:25the Python file in the controller, then
  35. 1:27you need to create the init slide. Init
  36. 1:30slide is basically when you link him.
  37. 1:32Okay. For example, main.py it is need to
  38. 1:36link with in the internal init file. If
  39. 1:40you
  40. 1:40you
  41. 1:41link main.py file in the init internal
  42. 1:45file, after that the this folder need to
  43. 1:49link in the external init file. This is
  44. 1:52the external init file and inside of
  45. 1:55this folder, this is the init file.
  46. 1:57Internal init file. And also we are
  47. 1:59called models inside init file is the
  48. 2:02internal init file, okay?
  49. 2:05So, basically uh whenever you create
  50. 2:09a website and uh
  51. 2:11you improve
  52. 2:13the form, portal form and uh everything
  53. 2:17related to website portal uh in the
  54. 2:19Odoo, you can write in the
  55. 2:22controller module, controller folder,
  56. 2:25okay? After that the data.
  57. 2:27Data basically initialize the data for
  58. 2:30the Odoo understanding and
  59. 2:33basically uh configurations data, okay?
  60. 2:37After that the models. Models is the
  61. 2:39importance
  62. 2:40uh every time uh whenever you create
  63. 2:43Python
  64. 2:44file in the models, need to initialize
  65. 2:47in internal init file. He is create the
  66. 2:50a sale on configuration.py, after that
  67. 2:53theme sale on
  68. 2:55and .py. There is two Python file need
  69. 2:58to link in the internal file, okay?
  70. 3:00In the models uh only collect Python
  71. 3:03file. After that the security security
  72. 3:07inside the security folder create uh XML
  73. 3:11and also CSV file. CSV file for used for
  74. 3:16whenever you create new object, you need
  75. 3:18to
  76. 3:19give access. Basically the uh this
  77. 3:22object need to create, read, write and
  78. 3:25unlink, okay?
  79. 3:27So, need to give access in the security
  80. 3:30file.
  81. 3:31Or whenever you create the groups and
  82. 3:33then this group files
  83. 3:36also come inside the security folder.
  84. 3:39After the security folder come the
  85. 3:41static. Static folder basically used for
  86. 3:43the uh images and CSS file collect the
  87. 3:47CSS file and font files, images and JS
  88. 3:51files. All this collection uh collect
  89. 3:54the static folder, okay?
  90. 3:57Uh after that the view folder, view
  91. 4:00folder
  92. 4:01only collect
  93. 4:04taking taking the XML file like a form
  94. 4:07view, tree view,
  95. 4:08uh act window, everything, okay? Related
  96. 4:11to XML. He's taking the view folder.
  97. 4:16So, this is the base um
  98. 4:19basic configurations how to create the
  99. 4:22module in the Odoo and need to
  100. 4:25uh
  101. 4:27need to check everything in the folder,
  102. 4:30if you correct anything here here
  103. 4:34incorrect enter here, then the module
  104. 4:36not come in the Odoo. Uh okay. For
  105. 4:38example
  106. 4:40init before come to underscore, if you
  107. 4:43enter only one underscore, then this
  108. 4:46module do not show in the Odoo app. So,
  109. 4:48this is the problem. Also you can uh
  110. 4:52read the all the sentences related to
  111. 4:54the this module structure. So, this is
  112. 4:57the you can read here everything
  113. 4:59explained here. Demo demo data basically
  114. 5:03used for the demo demo stration data,
  115. 5:06which is helpful for test training or
  116. 5:08module simulation like
  117. 5:10um whenever you create the database,
  118. 5:12okay? And there is the one checkbox demo
  119. 5:15demo. If you click on the demo then that
  120. 5:19cuz some data is reload by default like
  121. 5:22sale order created already uh three to
  122. 5:25four and also the product created,
  123. 5:27contact created. So, this is the demo
  124. 5:30data.
  125. 5:31Okay, demo data basically created in the
  126. 5:34module structure statically type, okay?
  127. 5:37So, everything is here, okay? Wizard
  128. 5:40Wizard why use? Wizard folder is used
  129. 5:42for the
  130. 5:44intermediate data, okay? Basically used
  131. 5:47for the pop-up window. Whenever you
  132. 5:49click on in menu or button, you want to
  133. 5:52open the pop-up window for transient
  134. 5:56model, then need to use wizard. Report
  135. 6:00folder. Report folder is used for the uh
  136. 6:03PDF, okay? Uh in the report folder you
  137. 6:06can uh uh
  138. 6:09create two type files are Python file or
  139. 6:11XML file. If you create the Python file
  140. 6:14inside the report then need to create
  141. 6:17internal init file for the linking,
  142. 6:20okay? So, basically used for the PDF
  143. 6:23document, okay? Report folder.
  144. 6:27So, this is the basic structure Odoo
  145. 6:29module, okay? You can screen shot or
  146. 6:33come here the this link
  147. 6:35and
  148. 6:36you can see here.
  149. 6:38So, only my motive in this video only
  150. 6:42how
  151. 6:43how is showing the module structure,
  152. 6:45okay?
  153. 6:47So, thank you.
  154. 6:49If you have any query
  155. 6:50uh you can write the comment in the
  156. 6:53video section.
  157. 6:55I will
  158. 6:56uh
  159. 6:57reply you.
  160. 6:58Okay, thank you.
