- 0:00"Wipe out purely Polish villages, burn
- 0:01down mixed villages, destroy only the
- 0:03Polish population"—that is what Roman
- 0:05Shukhevych, commander of the UPA and
- 0:07responsible for the deaths of tens of
- 0:08thousands of Poles, said. Lviv has just
- 0:11declared 2027 his year, and Ukrainian
- 0:13media report that Poland, in response
- 0:15to this insult, may withhold aid to
- 0:17Ukraine. Is this true, and what should
- 0:20we actually do to temper the ambitions
- 0:22of Ukrainian chauvinists? According to
- 0:24media leaks, Trump is supposedly
- 0:25planning to push for peace in Ukraine
- 0:27at the upcoming summit in Miami. In the
- 0:29Polish public sphere, people have
- 0:30already started calling this Yalta 2.0.
- 0:33Will Kyiv really sit down at the
- 0:34negotiating table with Moscow, and will
- 0:36the West sell us out again on the altar
- 0:38of its own interests? The third topic
- 0:40will be about Thursday's market
- 0:42massacre. The Chinese stock market is
- 0:44in a bear market, with 2.5 trillion
- 0:46dollars evaporating from Asia. Bitcoin
- 0:48is falling to 81,000 dollars. NVIDIA is
- 0:51down 4.5%, SpaceX down 9%, and the
- 0:54Nasdaq 100 is in the red. Worst of all,
- 0:57bond yields are falling at the same
- 0:58time. This can only mean one thing, and
- 1:01it is certainly nothing good. And
- 1:03finally, the four largest American
- 1:05banks reported that they have
- 1:06encountered unauthorized activity by AI
- 1:08agents on their clients 'accounts. The
- 1:11head of security at Anthropic comments
- 1:13that this is just the beginning and
- 1:14that the situation will get much, much
- 1:16worse in the coming months. I invite
- 1:18you to learn exactly what is behind
- 1:20this major security crisis of recent
- 1:21years. The Polish government has halted
- 1:28talks on further support for Ukraine.
- 1:30Unofficially. The information comes
- 1:32from two Ukrainian editorial outlets:
- 1:35European Pravda and RBC Ukraine. Both
- 1:37cite an anonymous, well-informed source
- 1:39, with the former pointing to the
- 1:41Ukrainian government. Has Poland really
- 1:43ended the shipment of equipment to
- 1:45Ukraine following this latest slap in
- 1:47the face? And is that actually a good
- 1:48thing? Should we continue sending
- 1:50weapons to the Ukrainians, or should we
- 1:52stop out of a sense of honor? I have a
- 1:54rather unique opinion on this, but
- 1:55let's go step by step. First, we must
- 1:57start with the fact that it is an
- 1:59absolute sensation how brazen they have
- 2:01become. I mean, they have always been
- 2:03brazen, but the level it has reached
- 2:05now defies all imagination. First, a
- 2:08Ukrainian drone violates our airspace
- 2:10for 200 km, flying literally over
- 2:12Lublin without our consent. Now, the
- 2:15Banderites in Lviv are declaring 2027
- 2:18the year of Shukhevych. We are going to
- 2:20dive into the whole topic, because you
- 2:22need to be well-informed about the
- 2:23state of relations with our eastern
- 2:24neighbor. On Thursday, October 22, Lviv
- 2:27Regional Council member Sviatoslav
- 2:29Sheremeta responded to Minister
- 2:31Sikorski that Poland's reaction to
- 2:33declaring 2027 the year of the UPA and
- 2:35Roman Shukhevych is, to say the least,
- 2:38strange. Strange. For a man who honors
- 2:41the commander of a formation
- 2:43responsible for the massacre of 60 to
- 2:45100,000 Poles, our reaction is strange.
- 2:48Let me recall here the words spoken by
- 2:50Roman Shukhevych, who was directly
- 2:52responsible for the Volhynia massacre.
- 2:54"Wipe out purely Polish villages, burn
- 2:56down mixed villages, destroy only the
- 2:58Polish population." Let me tell you,
- 3:00you boor, what is truly strange. It is
- 3:03strange that Ukraine is currently the
- 3:05only country in the world where Nazi
- 3:07war criminals and genocidaires are
- 3:08revered. It's as if Munich were to
- 3:12declare 2027 the year of Mengele or
- 3:14Himmler. That is strange. It is also
- 3:18strange that days earlier, on October
- 3:2020th, that same Sheremeta pushed
- 3:22through a resolution with 52 votes. A
- 3:26resolution in which an UPA commander,
- 3:28the person responsible for the
- 3:29displacement and elimination of Poles
- 3:32in 2027, becomes a hero of Lviv,
- 3:33because that is primarily where this
- 3:35whole affair flared up again. And now,
- 3:38viewer, imagine the scale of this
- 3:40absurdity. You are the mayor of Lviv.
- 3:42Your country has been at war for almost
- 3:43five years. You rely on Polish
- 3:45financial, military, and above all,
- 3:47logistical aid. You know that without
- 3:49Poland, your weak country would have
- 3:50fallen in the very first months of the
- 3:52invasion. Your president just caused a
- 3:53massive scandal in relations with
- 3:55Poland by naming a unit after the UPA
- 3:57in his own country. Every day you bow
- 3:59down to criminals who did terrible
- 4:01things to the Poles. But the scandal
- 4:03with the Poles is fading a bit. Poland
- 4:05continues to help Ukraine. The Polish
- 4:07government is giving away Polish
- 4:08missiles for Patriot batteries, for
- 4:09which it is taking a terrible beating
- 4:11in the polls. And to all this, you as
- 4:13the mayor of Lviv react by deciding to
- 4:15infuriate the entire Polish public
- 4:17again by declaring 2027 the year of
- 4:19Shukhevych in Lviv. I know we have a
- 4:23low opinion of our own politicians, but
- 4:25just think of the dregs of power they
- 4:27have there in Ukraine. They are pushing
- 4:30them straight under the train. In any
- 4:31case, at least a few countries have had
- 4:33enough of cooperating with Kyiv and
- 4:35with Ukrainian political leaders. The
- 4:37freshest example: Bulgaria is turning
- 4:39away from Ukraine. End of military aid.
- 4:42South Korea, after Zelensky's rude
- 4:44behavior, is closing its diplomatic
- 4:46mission in Kyiv and breaking ties with
- 4:48such a bottom-tier country as Ukraine.
- 4:50Hungary, in turn, recently refused
- 4:52Ukraine's entry into the European Union
- 4:54. They don't want them there. Basically
- 4:55, 3/4 of the countries in our region
- 4:57have had enough of Zelensky because of
- 4:59his arrogance. And now look. The
- 5:00decisions of the Lviv authorities are
- 5:02being made at a time when over 90%of
- 5:04all Western military aid for this state
- 5:06is passing through Poland. Through
- 5:08Jasionka near Rzeszow, through our
- 5:09railways, through our warehouses, when
- 5:11Trump and Putin are publicly kicking a
- 5:13fallen Zelensky in Washington and
- 5:15Moscow, and yet Poland still stands as
- 5:17a wall behind Kyiv. What does Lviv do
- 5:19in this situation? Its mayor and
- 5:21councilors, instead of saying thank you
- 5:23to the Poles and worshipping their hero
- 5:25—meaning the devil—in the privacy
- 5:27of their homes, they have to go and
- 5:28provoke the Poles again. They chopped
- 5:31up our relatives like wood. They got
- 5:32away with it. They used us to the bone
- 5:35after 2022. They got away with it. So
- 5:38what now? They keep hitting the Poles
- 5:40because they see that our guard is down
- 5:41. A few days ago, a Ukrainian drone
- 5:43violated Polish airspace, flew over the
- 5:46Lublin region, and only exploded in
- 5:48Lithuania, damaging a civilian car. The
- 5:50Lithuanian Prime Minister says the
- 5:52drone flew in from Poland. He denies it
- 5:54. A formal letter was sent to Kyiv
- 5:56asking what this is all about. And what
- 5:58happened? After such an international
- 6:00scandal, four days later Lviv declares
- 6:01the year of the UPA. Unofficially,
- 6:04Ukrainian media reported on Wednesday
- 6:06that Poland has halted another military
- 6:08aid package for Ukraine precisely
- 6:09because of this Shukhevych year. Our
- 6:11Ministry of National Defense denies it.
- 6:13Deputy Minister Tomczyk says that
- 6:15Poland is helping and will continue to
- 6:17help, but you know what? For once, this
- 6:19mediocrity of our authorities will work
- 6:21to our advantage. Let me tell you how
- 6:23the fact that this government continues
- 6:25to send aid to Ukraine will ultimately
- 6:27turn out better for us, because the
- 6:29longer this war lasts, the better it is
- 6:30for the Republic. Minister Sikorski
- 6:32came up with a quite sensible proposal
- 6:34here. I have signed a motion to place
- 6:37on the list of undesirable persons in
- 6:39the Republic of Poland, Lviv Oblast
- 6:41Councilor Sheremeta, a reenactor of
- 6:43Galicia Waffen-SS, author of the idea
- 6:45to establish 2027 as the year of Roman
- 6:47Shukhevych, the UPA commander who
- 6:49issued orders to displace and murder
- 6:51Poles. What is the response to this
- 6:53from one of the Ukrainian politicians?
- 6:55I know he is running a campaign like
- 6:57this because elections are won on
- 6:59anti-Polish sentiments in Tel Aviv,
- 7:01Kyiv, Minsk, Berlin, and many, many
- 7:03other places. But all things considered
- 7:05, you have to admit that the boor has
- 7:06gone too far. And here is the response
- 7:08of the Ukrainian councilor from Lviv to
- 7:10the Poles' outrage. Not only will 2027
- 7:12be the year of UPA and Shukhevych, but
- 7:14we will also rebuild the Shukhevych
- 7:16museum and erect a grand monument to
- 7:18him. Go ahead and put up whatever
- 7:21monuments you want there. Just know
- 7:27that you are digging your own grave,
- 7:28because the resentment that will remain
- 7:30in our hearts toward you will last for
- 7:32generations and may turn against you in
- 7:34the coming decades, because I remind
- 7:36you, you are historically weak, even
- 7:38for your very short 203-year history of
- 7:39statehood. Alright, just when you think
- 7:46it couldn't get any worse, Minister
- 7:48Marta Cienkowska approaches the
- 7:49microphone and says words that make
- 7:51your head explode. How could this have
- 7:54even happened?
- 7:55>> We have been hearing for some time that
- 7:57there will be a change, there will be a
- 7:59change, there are exhumations, and
- 8:00suddenly—bang—the guy comes out and
- 8:02throws: "Here we are exhuming victims,
- 8:04and here we are declaring the year of
- 8:06the UPA."
- 8:07>> I am shocked by this action because I
- 8:08had the impression that we had reached
- 8:10some kind of agreement. However, it
- 8:12must be noted that this is, after all,
- 8:14a local activist, a nationalist with
- 8:16whom we have de facto had difficult
- 8:18relations from the very beginning. He
- 8:20already received,
- 8:23>> he already received a ban on entering
- 8:25Poland in 2017, I remind you, at the
- 8:27moment when he also organized a funeral
- 8:30for a veteran of the Galicia SS.
- 8:34Therefore, we know who we are dealing
- 8:36with. The problem and challenge for us
- 8:40is that he is the person responsible
- 8:41for the commemoration commission on the
- 8:43Ukrainian side.
- 8:47>> The problem and challenge for us is
- 8:48that he is the person in charge of the
- 8:50commemoration commission. He is the
- 8:54owner of one of the three firms that
- 8:56carry out exhumations in cooperation
- 8:57with us on the Ukrainian side. Excuse
- 9:00me? If you conduct exhumations with
- 9:03people like that, it's no wonder that
- 9:05for years they haven't been exhumations
- 9:06, but a disaster. No, honestly, I have
- 9:09to admit, that’s tough. A guy who is
- 9:11a great fan of Shukhevych is helping us
- 9:13locate and then dig up the bodies of
- 9:15Shukhevych's victims. If this is how
- 9:17our cooperation with the Ukrainians on
- 9:19exhumations is set up, we now know why
- 9:21they’ve been dragging on since '91
- 9:22and still aren't finished. Now for the
- 9:24second gem. Gdańsk. In June 2026,
- 9:27Mayor Dulkiewicz signs an agreement
- 9:29with the mayor of Lviv, Sadovyi—a
- 9:31known Banderite—to support the "
- 9:34Unbroken" project, a Lviv medical and
- 9:36rehabilitation center for war victims,
- 9:38with 1 million zlotys. I quote
- 9:41Dulkiewicz's words. A friend in need is
- 9:43a friend indeed. Well, those friends
- 9:46are now declaring 2027 the year of
- 9:47finishing off the Poles. With friends
- 9:50like these, who needs enemies? My
- 9:54personal opinion on what we should do
- 9:56now is this: although the Polish
- 9:58state's aid to Ukraine most likely
- 9:59hasn't been stopped, even if Tusk's
- 10:01government did stop it, we shouldn't
- 10:03withhold it. We should continue this
- 10:08aid. Why? Because the longer the
- 10:10shipment of weapons to Ukraine lasts,
- 10:12the longer this war will drag on. And
- 10:14the longer this war lasts, the better
- 10:16it is for Poland's national interest.
- 10:18President Zelensky has announced
- 10:19fighting Russia to the last soldier,
- 10:21and from our point of view, that is
- 10:23actually a very good decision. Mr.
- 10:25Zelensky, you’re speaking well. You
- 10:28should fight until you regain every
- 10:30square meter of lost territory. Full
- 10:32agreement. What, however, should we do
- 10:34to rein in people like Sheremeta?
- 10:37Impose personal sanctions, tough ones,
- 10:39that would make it impossible for
- 10:41Sheremeta and his likes to escape
- 10:42Ukraine through Poland, which will soon
- 10:44be a very important plan for many of
- 10:46them. In fact, the Polish government
- 10:49should make a deal with the Slovaks,
- 10:51Romanians, Hungarians, and Moldova so
- 10:52that such a person couldn't enter their
- 10:54countries either. Let him swim across
- 10:57the Black Sea or go through Belarus.
- 10:59That is the language these gentlemen
- 11:01will understand immediately. A ban on
- 11:03travel through our countries for them
- 11:04and their families. That would make
- 11:06them change their tune real fast. And
- 11:08what can we, ordinary citizens, do
- 11:09right now in this situation? It’s
- 11:11very simple. Boycott. For example,
- 11:13Roshen sweets—the company of former
- 11:15president Poroshenko—found in
- 11:17practically every Polish store. Do not
- 11:19buy them under any circumstances. Let
- 11:22them rot on the store shelves. Their
- 11:24preserves, juices, beer, whatever.
- 11:27Don't pick them up. Choose Polish
- 11:28products. One more thing. Drunken
- 11:30Cherry. A franchise of the Ukrainian
- 11:33Fest Group, which runs the Kryjivka
- 11:35restaurant in Lviv that promotes UPA's
- 11:37Shukhevych. In Poland, their locations
- 11:39are in Warsaw at Nowy Świat 39 and at
- 11:41the corner of Emilii Plater and
- 11:43Świętokrzyska. In Poznań at Stary
- 11:45Rynek 66, in Wrocław at Rynek 45, and
- 11:48in Sopot at Bohaterów Monte Cassino 41
- 11:51. They are also in Kraków, Rzeszów,
- 11:53Łódź, Lublin, Gdańsk, and
- 11:55Świnoujście. This Ukrainian
- 11:57corporation builds its business
- 11:59directly on the people responsible for
- 12:00murdering Poles. And we go there, smile
- 12:04, and drink their cherry liqueur. We
- 12:06pay them money. It’s time to end this
- 12:08. Stop lining their pockets. May all
- 12:11these places just shut the hell down.
- 12:13And shame on all Polish partner cities
- 12:15of Lviv that have not yet broken off
- 12:17relations with this Banderite city. Let
- 12:19me remind you, Lviv is a partner city
- 12:21of Wrocław, Kraków, Łódź, Poznań,
- 12:24Rzeszów, Przemyśl, and Katowice.
- 12:26Przemyśl has rethought this and,
- 12:28fortunately, has come to its senses.
- 12:29Bravo, Przemyśl. The city terminated
- 12:32its 1995 cooperation agreement with
- 12:34Lviv. End of partnership. Łukasz
- 12:37Gibała, the new mayor of Kraków, also
- 12:39wants to suspend his city's partnership
- 12:40with Lviv. I support it 200%. It's time
- 12:43for other cities. What are you waiting
- 12:45for? Finally, a few words on the matter
- 12:47of exhumations from Leszek Miller, and
- 12:49we’ll wrap up this topic.
- 12:50>> Let's start with the exhumations. You
- 12:53are not doing us a favor by letting us
- 12:59bury the bones of Poles together hidden
- 13:05in forests, drowned in rivers, in
- 13:07meadows, and so on and so forth. And
- 13:12don't do us any favors, because every
- 13:14civilized country allows the dead to be
- 13:16buried. The fact that you do not allow
- 13:20it is a sign of your barbarity and
- 13:22savagery.
- 13:23>> Now, about Yalta 2.0, meaning the peace
- 13:26in Ukraine prepared by Trump. The
- 13:28Atlantic, a rather serious media outlet
- 13:30, citing its sources, claims that Trump
- 13:32wants to reach a peace agreement on
- 13:34Ukraine in December during the G20
- 13:36summit. The U.S. President reportedly
- 13:38wants to sign the documents at his golf
- 13:40club in Miami, even if it requires
- 13:42forcing Kyiv to make concessions. Are
- 13:45we witnessing a second Yalta, i.e., the
- 13:47West selling our part of Europe to
- 13:49Moscow? Let's break it down into prime
- 13:51factors. On Wednesday, October 21st,
- 13:53Putin's advisor Yuri Ushakov announced
- 13:55that China has already begun
- 13:57preparations for a trilateral
- 13:58Trump-Xi-Putin meeting, which is to
- 14:00take place in Shenzhen on November
- 14:0218-19 on the sidelines of the APEC
- 14:04summit. The idea came from Putin
- 14:06himself during a phone call with Trump
- 14:08on October 9th. The conservative
- 14:10American press, namely The Wall Street
- 14:12Journal, has already called it Yalta
- 14:142.0. But is that certain? Isn't that an
- 14:16overstatement? Is it Yalta 2.0, or just
- 14:19Yalta light? The meeting formula
- 14:21proposed by the Kremlin looks as
- 14:22follows. China, the United States, and
- 14:25Russia without Zelensky, without the
- 14:26Union, and without European states. The
- 14:29subject of the talks according to
- 14:30Moscow is, quote: Ending the war in
- 14:32Ukraine on terms favorable to Russia.
- 14:34Trump says he is open to it, but mainly
- 14:36to talk about denuclearization, not
- 14:38Ukraine. The Chinese Foreign Ministry
- 14:41officially denies having information
- 14:42about such a meeting, distancing itself
- 14:44; it's as if the meeting might happen,
- 14:46but not everyone is that keen on it, or
- 14:48at least that's what they are
- 14:49communicating. And that is exactly the
- 14:53biggest problem with this whole "Yalta
- 14:552.0" concept, because you see, the real
- 14:57Yalta of 1945 took place mainly because
- 14:59the Red Army was already standing on
- 15:01the Oder near Berlin. It was known that
- 15:05the Russians would not only be the
- 15:07first to enter the Reichstag, but would
- 15:09also swallow all of Central, Eastern,
- 15:10and Southern Europe as far as Greece.
- 15:12That is why Moscow could then dictate
- 15:14terms to the West from a position of
- 15:16strength. The West sold us out for its
- 15:18own interests because it had no other
- 15:20cards, it had no choice. What influence
- 15:22did the Americans or the British have
- 15:23on the fact that Stalin had already
- 15:25mastered Poland and taken
- 15:26Czechoslovakia? Only the Russians had
- 15:28real forces in Europe then. The
- 15:32Americans and British did have their
- 15:33troops on the old continent, which
- 15:35could balance the Russian advantage,
- 15:37but they were unable to maintain that
- 15:38contingent for years or decades. Stalin
- 15:43negotiated from the position of a
- 15:44leader of a superpower whose troops
- 15:46occupied a huge part of Europe, and
- 15:48Roosevelt knew he couldn't afford
- 15:50anything similar because the United
- 15:51States is far across the ocean. Besides
- 15:54, as I said, when the original Yalta
- 15:56was taking place, the Kremlin already
- 15:58had a large part of Europe under its
- 16:00boot. Now it is totally different.
- 16:03Their power of influence and reach are
- 16:05much, much smaller. Their army is
- 16:07fighting over 1,000 km further away
- 16:09than the USSR's army stood when they
- 16:11talked in Yalta. They are not going on
- 16:13a great offensive toward Berlin. They
- 16:15have been stuck in Ukraine for over
- 16:16four years now. The Russian military
- 16:18has not won a single strategic battle
- 16:20in over a year. And now the fundamental
- 16:22question. What should Poles be afraid
- 16:24of? Yalta 2.0 is unlikely to happen,
- 16:29because the Russians have too few cards
- 16:31to dictate terms to the West. Maybe
- 16:34there will be some kind of ceasefire,
- 16:35though I doubt it. We have heard about
- 16:37so many peace plans, and somehow none
- 16:39of them have worked so far. The mere
- 16:41signing of signatures by three
- 16:43presidents does not mean that other
- 16:44countries will submit to their
- 16:46arrangements. This does not mean,
- 16:48however, that the threat to Poland of
- 16:50some deal unfavorable to us does not
- 16:52exist. The most difficult position, of
- 16:54course, is that of Ukraine itself,
- 16:56because it is its territory, its
- 16:58security, and its future that could
- 17:00become the subject of some deal. That
- 17:02is what the powers would mainly be
- 17:03dividing. Not our territory, but
- 17:05Ukrainian territory. Not whether Poland
- 17:07will be in the Russian sphere of
- 17:09influence, but whether Ukraine will be.
- 17:11Poland is today the only sensible
- 17:12foothold for the Americans in Europe.
- 17:15Why would they hand us over to Putin,
- 17:16when Putin can't even ask for Poland,
- 17:18because he has no leverage over it? I
- 17:20don't hold it against the American
- 17:22president that he prioritizes the
- 17:23interests of the United States.
- 17:25That’s what voters expect of him, the
- 17:27ones who want cheaper diesel. He could
- 17:28have chosen not to attack Iran, as that
- 17:30was the main reason oil prices spiked.
- 17:32If he hadn't been playing nice with
- 17:33Netanyahu back then, there wouldn't be
- 17:35such lamenting at the fuel pumps now.
- 17:36But we know, Trump probably had no
- 17:38choice and had to submit to the will of
- 17:40Tel Aviv. And the fact that the powers
- 17:42will be talking to each other at the
- 17:43summit everywhere is a good thing. It
- 17:45doesn't just mean bad things. Talks
- 17:47between powers can reduce the risk of
- 17:49war, curb the arms race, and pave the
- 17:50way for ending the fighting in the east
- 17:52. It is worth making use of such
- 17:54opportunities. It is possible, however,
- 17:56that Ukraine will still be present when
- 17:58negotiating the peace deal and what it
- 18:00implies for everyone. Information from
- 18:03literally a moment ago. The Russian
- 18:05president has agreed to resume
- 18:06trilateral peace talks with Ukraine and
- 18:08the United States. This is something no
- 18:11previous administration has achieved in
- 18:12almost five years of this war. Russia
- 18:14has agreed to sit at the same table
- 18:16with Ukraine and the USA. An American
- 18:19official claims that Witkoff and
- 18:21Kushner proposed a technical-level
- 18:22meeting where representatives of those
- 18:24three countries will meet. Ukraine
- 18:27already accepted the proposal during
- 18:28Wednesday's talks in Oslo. Russia, in
- 18:30turn, expressed its consent a day later
- 18:32during Thursday's meetings with Witkoff
- 18:34in St. Petersburg. CNN reports that
- 18:36Moscow is ready to resume trilateral
- 18:38talks: Russia, USA, Ukraine. Even
- 18:40though serious differences regarding
- 18:42territory and security guarantees still
- 18:44exist. This would allow representatives
- 18:47of all three countries to sit directly
- 18:48at the negotiating table. And that
- 18:51actually is something new. And do you
- 18:53know what is the funniest thing about
- 18:54all of this? That the Ukrainian elites,
- 18:57masters of 5D chess, played it so that
- 18:59they are in an even worse position than
- 19:00they were at the start of this war.
- 19:03Zelensky just said in an interview with
- 19:06Fox News that he is willing to give
- 19:07Russia 25%of Ukraine's territory just
- 19:09to end the war. That is a bit shocking,
- 19:12considering that Zelensky could have
- 19:14had a much better deal if he had
- 19:15accepted Istanbul Plus. However, he let
- 19:17himself be talked into it by Boris
- 19:19Johnson and Biden, who dissuaded him
- 19:21from it at the time. Back then, there
- 19:23was a deal to give up 10%. Instead of
- 19:26giving up 10%then, they want to give up
- 19:2825%now. And factor in an additional
- 19:31million casualties, and a Ukraine even
- 19:33more destroyed after years of war. The
- 19:35genius of geostrategy, Zelensky. Who is
- 19:38the "Russian boot" at the end of the
- 19:40day, Mr. Volodymyr? It turns out it's
- 19:43you, because ultimately you are giving
- 19:44the Russians even more. A little plot
- 19:47twist to this story. Very bad news from
- 19:49the eastern markets. On Thursday,
- 19:51October 22nd, China's CSI 300 entered a
- 19:54bear market. A 20%drop from the June
- 19:57peak, 10 weeks of consecutive declines.
- 20:00The longest such streak in the history
- 20:02of the Chinese index. A reminder that
- 20:04the CSI 300 consists of the 300 largest
- 20:06companies from the Shanghai and
- 20:08Shenzhen exchanges; it’s basically
- 20:10China’s S&P 500. It is a
- 20:11representation of the Chinese economy.
- 20:13And that representation is currently
- 20:14getting punched in the face. In total,
- 20:16since the May peak, Chinese stocks have
- 20:18wiped out nearly $ 2.5 trillion in
- 20:20market capitalization. That is
- 20:22equivalent to about 2.5 to 3.5 times
- 20:24Poland’s annual GDP. That much has
- 20:26vanished, dissolved into thin air. But
- 20:28it wasn’t just China that got crushed
- 20:30on Thursday. Japan's Nikkei down 2.6%,
- 20:33Korea down 4%, Taiwan down 2.3%. A
- 20:38total of over $ 600 billion was wiped
- 20:40off Asian stocks in just one Thursday.
- 20:43But it isn't only in Asia that the
- 20:45ground is shaking. In the US, we saw
- 20:46drops that day that we haven't seen in
- 20:48months. Meta down 7.76%, SpaceX down
- 20:539.19%, Nvidia down 4.56%, Amazon down
- 20:575.15%, Micron down 6.72%. What happened
- 21:01? Overall, probably nothing significant
- 21:03enough to trigger such massive drops.
- 21:05Or maybe there's something we don't
- 21:07know. And that is very disturbing. Many
- 21:10analysts today are wondering if
- 21:11something truly dangerous is happening
- 21:13behind the scenes, because capital is
- 21:15flowing out of all markets and flooding
- 21:17into bonds, whose yields have dropped
- 21:18sharply. The yield on 10-year US
- 21:22Treasuries is falling below 5%, which
- 21:24is very surprising. There must be a lot
- 21:27of bond buyers for the interest rates
- 21:29to have dropped that much, and remember
- 21:30, until now there were almost no takers
- 21:32. It reminds me a bit of the sea
- 21:35receding before an incoming tsunami. I
- 21:37don’t want to spread panic, of course
- 21:38, because it’s definitely too early
- 21:40for that. But a situation where gold is
- 21:42falling, silver is falling, bitcoin is
- 21:44falling, stocks are falling, markets
- 21:46are falling, and bonds are rising—
- 21:48well, that doesn't look good. Maybe
- 21:50investors were spooked by what is
- 21:52happening with AI. The AI bubble in the
- 21:54US isn't bursting just yet, but it is
- 21:56starting to hiss. We learned that bad
- 21:59debt from AI data centers is currently
- 22:02being repackaged and sold to pension
- 22:04funds, just like toxic mortgages were
- 22:06repackaged in 2007. Kalsi reports that
- 22:10nearly half of all bonds financing
- 22:12American AI data centers already have
- 22:14junk status this year. They are
- 22:17junk-rated. Half of the debt incurred
- 22:21for data centers is unrecoverable. On
- 22:24top of that, Meta raised its capex
- 22:25guidance last week—meaning how much
- 22:27it intends to spend on data centers and
- 22:29chips—but without a concrete answer
- 22:31on when it will all pay off, or if it
- 22:33will at all. Tesla, NVIDIA, and Meta
- 22:35are under enormous pressure in the US.
- 22:37In Asia, semiconductors are falling in
- 22:39their wake. Another issue: oil. Trump
- 22:42said point-blank on Wednesday: "We are
- 22:43not negotiating with Iran." The market
- 22:45interpreted this as an escalation, and
- 22:48Brent jumped above $ 114 per barrel.
- 22:50That is already very high. When oil
- 22:51prices rise, inflation returns. Banks
- 22:54aren't cutting rates, and an old,
- 22:55unwelcome stranger is back: higher
- 22:57inflation for longer. For Polish
- 22:59mortgage borrowers, this is also bad
- 23:01news. Another issue that may have
- 23:02caused the recent drops is that China
- 23:04has some skeletons in its closet.
- 23:06According to HSBC, 90%of daily turnover
- 23:08on Chinese stock exchanges comes from
- 23:09retail investors—meaning Mrs. Zhou
- 23:11and Mr. Chen on their phone apps after
- 23:13work. For comparison, on the New York
- 23:16Stock Exchange, that figure is 20-25%.
- 23:20This means that a Chinese panic, if it
- 23:22happens, can spread much faster than
- 23:24anywhere else, because retail investors
- 23:26sell in 5 minutes, unlike hedge funds
- 23:28that offload billions over 5 days.
- 23:32Western markets took a slight hit, too.
- 23:34At Thursday’s close, the Nasdaq fell
- 23:36by as much as 2.9%, its worst result
- 23:39since June. Bitcoin slid to 81,000
- 23:42dollars, just hours after storming the
- 23:4485k level, so this isn't just a
- 23:46rotation from one sector to another.
- 23:49It’s classic risk-off; investors are
- 23:51dumping risk altogether and fleeing to
- 23:53US bonds as a safe haven. So, how have
- 23:55I been playing this over the last few
- 23:57days with help from the guys at CST Pro
- 23:58? Well, I was supposed to update you on
- 24:00my trading adventure. How much of that
- 24:02movement did we catch? Listen, Kuba and
- 24:04I entered a long position on Bitcoin
- 24:06from the 80,890 level. Dollars. The
- 24:09target for this position is the 90,000
- 24:11dollar level for Bitcoin, which
- 24:13obviously hasn't arrived yet, but
- 24:15starting from 80,000, I already began
- 24:17taking profits at the 84,000 level. So,
- 24:19along the way, I made nearly 5%, but
- 24:21since it was on 100x leverage, that
- 24:23came out to just under 500%. But with a
- 24:26small contribution, so it’s not like
- 24:27I’m set for life or anything. The
- 24:30further path to gains for Bitcoin
- 24:31depends on breaking through that 84,000
- 24:34–85,000 mark and staying above it.
- 24:37Additionally, on Wednesday evening, we
- 24:39decided during the live stream to open
- 24:40a short position in parallel, playing
- 24:42the opposite of our long position from
- 24:44the bottom. This decision was made
- 24:47right when we were testing that 85,000
- 24:49level. We saw a rather strong drop in
- 24:52momentum and the first signs of the
- 24:54uptrend weakening, suggesting we might
- 24:56not break through 85k. I managed to
- 24:58gain 159 dollars that way, which is
- 25:01about 500 PLN. We are simply trying to
- 25:03catch the movement in both directions.
- 25:04And what should we watch out for in the
- 25:06coming weeks? Next Wednesday, October
- 25:0828th, the US central bank will make a
- 25:10decision on interest rates. We are, of
- 25:13course, also observing other
- 25:14macroeconomic factors and market
- 25:16sentiment, making decisions in
- 25:18real-time. If anyone wants to see how
- 25:20it looks, even without putting money in
- 25:22, just to take a look, come join the
- 25:24CST Discord. The link will be in the
- 25:26description. To get onto the CST
- 25:27Discord, you just need to be registered
- 25:30on OKX using my link. I’m leaving
- 25:31that in the description as well, of
- 25:33course. Okay, now we are moving on to
- 25:35the final topic. On Thursday, October
- 25:3722nd, Axios revealed something that
- 25:39should be the headline of every evening
- 25:41news broadcast. The world's largest
- 25:43banks, such as JP Morgan, Bank of
- 25:45America, Wells Fargo, Morgan Stanley,
- 25:47and Citi, have detected unauthorized AI
- 25:49agents in their customers 'accounts—
- 25:51meaning artificial intelligence that
- 25:53logs into your bank account (often
- 25:55using your own password that you
- 25:57previously gave it) and takes action
- 25:59without your consent—simply moving
- 26:01your money. Fortunately, this is not so
- 26:05much about hackers breaking into
- 26:07citizens' accounts, but rather a
- 26:09situation where you yourself gave an AI
- 26:11agent access to your account to pay for
- 26:13trash collection, groceries,
- 26:15electricity, gas, or anything else.
- 26:18Jamie Dimon, CEO of JP Morgan, said
- 26:20bluntly during the third-quarter
- 26:22earnings call: "There could be
- 26:24thousands of such rogue agents." And
- 26:26now pay attention, because this is
- 26:28important. If you were the one who
- 26:30authorized an external AI agent to
- 26:31transfer your money and it made a
- 26:33mistake, sent it to the wrong place,
- 26:35you, not the bank, are responsible for
- 26:37it. This is a so-called liability
- 26:39transfer. The bank says: "You gave it
- 26:41access, not us." Remember that sentence
- 26:45, because if it ever crosses your mind
- 26:47to connect ChatGPT, Perplexity, or
- 26:49another model to your account at mBank,
- 26:51Millennium, or PKO, you are on your own
- 26:53. But that's not the end. On Wednesday,
- 26:56other news traveled around the world.
- 26:58AI discovered a vulnerability in PHP,
- 27:00the programming language that powers up
- 27:02to 70%of websites worldwide. The
- 27:04vulnerability has been hidden in the
- 27:06code for over 10 years. They called it
- 27:08PHP-TShell. It allows a hacker to take
- 27:11control, steal data, and install
- 27:12malicious software. The governments of
- 27:15France, Germany, the Netherlands,
- 27:16Belgium, Finland, and Denmark have
- 27:18taken their government websites offline
- 27:20. In Poland, the Ministry of Digital
- 27:22Affairs issued an urgent recommendation
- 27:24to update software to patch the hole.
- 27:26And now for the most disturbing element
- 27:28. Jason Clinton, one of the top
- 27:30security officers at the company that
- 27:31makes the Claude model, publishes a
- 27:33comment. Is it as bad as the last four
- 27:36days have shown? It will get much worse
- 27:39before it gets better. For about 18
- 27:41months, AI models have been getting
- 27:43better and better at finding, analyzing
- 27:45, and exploiting vulnerabilities. The
- 27:48speed at which AI finds a vulnerability
- 27:50will exceed the rate at which a human
- 27:52will be able to patch it. I know it's
- 27:54terrifying, but don't say nobody warned
- 27:56you. Finally, I leave you with a short
- 28:00message from Klaus Schwab, who as early
- 28:02as July 2020 warned against a
- 28:03global-scale cyberattack that would
- 28:05paralyze our lives—as he gracefully
- 28:08put it: a cyber-pandemic. We all know,
- 28:17but we still pay too little attention
- 28:19to the terrifying scenario of a massive
- 28:21cyberattack that would completely
- 28:23paralyze power supplies, transport,
- 28:25hospitals, and our entire society. The
- 28:37COVID-19 crisis would, in this respect,
- 28:39be a mere minor disruption compared to
- 28:42a major cyberattack. We must use the
- 28:53COVID-19 crisis as a perfect
- 28:55opportunity to draw lessons for the
- 28:56cybersecurity community and better
- 28:58prepare for a potential cyberpandemic.
- 29:06The world has gone crazy, so let's hang
- 29:08in there. It’s good to have you, and
- 29:10see you next time.
