Full transcript
- 0:00What it do? Bedtime crew. Hey, man,
- 0:02listen. Today, I am here with the most
- 0:04anticipated video of the week. I am here
- 0:06with my predictions for UFC Fight Night
- 0:09Cortez Acosta versus Johnny Walker short
- 0:12notice main event. It was supposed to be
- 0:14Sean Brady versus Gabriel Bonfim
- 0:16instead of Waldo versus Johnny Walker.
- 0:18Listen, the rest of this card, is it
- 0:20insane? No.
- 0:21Is it terrible? Not really. Like it's
- 0:24kind of decent Apex slop. Like I'm not
- 0:28mad at a Crafty Davey Grant Elijah Smith
- 0:31featured fight. You know, Lucas I don't
- 0:33There's a kid in the UFC named Lucas
- 0:34Fernando. There's a kid named Lucas
- 0:36Fernando. You know what I mean? Nina
- 0:37Milicevic, bro. You know, Michalis Bazo,
- 0:39mate. Thomas Peter Griffinson, bro. You
- 0:42know, this ain't actually bad. There's a
- 0:43lot of decent prelim fights. Let's get
- 0:45into this though. First fight of the
- 0:47night, is it going to open? It's not
- 0:48going to open. So, company sold for $4.2
- 0:51billion by the way. We've got Johnny
- 0:53Parsons, the Sledgehammer, making his
- 0:55return against Jose Souza, the Mutant of
- 0:59Welterweight. I'm going to go with Souza
- 1:00by like round three TKO. I just think
- 1:03that this is a classic this I forgot
- 1:06this guy was even in the UFC type of
- 1:08match-up. He's at a huge reach and
- 1:10height disadvantage. Mainly just a
- 1:12boxer, decent power,
- 1:14but I think that Souza is a legitimate
- 1:16mutant. I think that he's a guy that's
- 1:17going to go decently far in this
- 1:19division. I wouldn't say he's like a
- 1:20future champion, but he has the build of
- 1:22a mutant ranked contender.
- 1:24Um
- 1:25Like I said, Parsons does have solid KO
- 1:27power. There's a lot of unknown about
- 1:29Souza, but I I like that he went the
- 1:31distance in his last fight. I think Meng
- 1:33Ding is like a pretty powerful decent
- 1:35guy to kind of have your debut against.
- 1:38And I expect Souza to fight pretty
- 1:40comfortably in this one against a guy
- 1:41with, you know, much less reach, little
- 1:44bit more experience in terms of UFC, but
- 1:47I think he will probably slow down as he
- 1:49we get to the second and third round.
- 1:51And I think that Souza is going to fight
- 1:52very well behind his kicks. I think he's
- 1:54going to keep Parsons' hands at home
- 1:56with like big high kicks and body kicks.
- 1:58I like the knees to the body. I like the
- 2:00jab. I could see this being very similar
- 2:02to like Tie Miller versus Billy Ray
- 2:04Goff, but like slightly more competitive
- 2:05in the first round. I'm going to go with
- 2:07Souza by like round three TKO, maybe
- 2:09like a doctor stoppage type thing. Next
- 2:11fight of the night, again, none of these
- 2:13are opening. All right, we got Sokoudjou
- 2:15versus Wellington Turman. Another guy
- 2:18that literally has just despaired for
- 2:19like 3 years and now he's back. I'm
- 2:21going to go with Sokoudjou by decision,
- 2:22but I will say this, why is Sokoudjou a
- 2:24minus 800 favorite?
- 2:28Is that not crazy to anyone else? Like
- 2:31Contravicious is fighting Andre
- 2:33Petroski, he's only a minus 250
- 2:35favorite.
- 2:36I think [snorts] Sokoudjou is going to
- 2:38win this fight, but I'm not minus 800
- 2:40level confident about it the way that I
- 2:42am about Contravicious or some of these
- 2:44other guys in the card. So, that's a
- 2:45little bit concerning. That makes me
- 2:47like, [ __ ] this is going to be a crazy
- 2:49like crafty project, but I do think
- 2:51Sokoudjou is going to win this.
- 2:56Bro, my [ __ ] cat is like pissing up
- 2:57the door.
- 2:58I can't even focus. This little
- 3:00[ __ ] is like
- 3:02Like, bro, you you don't even want to be
- 3:03in here, you know what I'm saying?
- 3:05Like, you guys have seen this. Every
- 3:06time I do a video, this little
- 3:07[ __ ] leaves as soon as I start
- 3:09recording. I don't know I don't know
- 3:10whether the kids are on drugs or what,
- 3:11but listen, Sokoudjou is going to win
- 3:13this by a decision. I think that he has
- 3:15a grappling and wrestling advantage. I I
- 3:16think Wellington Turman is kind of
- 3:18underrated. I think he's very similar to
- 3:20like Glover Teixeira on the feet. Like,
- 3:22he has that kind of old man boxing in a
- 3:23in a very, you know, complimentary way.
- 3:25But, he doesn't have the offensive
- 3:26grappling that we saw kind of get used
- 3:28against Sokoudjou by JPL, you know,
- 3:30Gigachad JPL, friend of the channel.
- 3:33I think the fact that Sokoudjou is a
- 3:34southpaw means Turman won't be able to
- 3:36use his leg kicks that much cuz that's
- 3:38one thing that he uses quite well is
- 3:40calf kicks and just leg kicks to the
- 3:42thigh to set up his boxing.
- 3:44And even his jab, I just feel like
- 3:46southpaw versus orthodox Sokoudjou has
- 3:48that kind of McGregor karate stance.
- 3:50He's good at kind of slipping and
- 3:51ripping and then shooting that straight
- 3:53left and getting to the takedown. I
- 3:54think that Wellington Turman will have
- 3:56decent success on the feet attacking the
- 3:58body and just keeping it simple, but I
- 4:00do think that Sokoudjou has a grappling
- 4:02advantage. I think he's going to get
- 4:04takedowns. I I think he's probably just
- 4:05going to blob this guy for a decision
- 4:07victory. I'm going to say Shavkat
- 4:08Rakhmonov 30-27 victory by decision.
- 4:11Now, next fight of the night,
- 4:14Montas Contratodavicius
- 4:17versus Andre Petroski.
- 4:24I'll I'll be genuinely shocked if Andre
- 4:27Petroski wins this, okay? I don't care
- 4:29how grow how big you grow that beard,
- 4:31bro.
- 4:34We know what's up, dog. You know what
- 4:35I'm saying? That's all I'm going to say.
- 4:36I'm going to go with Contra
- 4:37Contratodavicius by round one KO. I
- 4:40literally have no notes on this. I have
- 4:41notes on every other fight. I have no
- 4:43notes on this. I just feel like it's
- 4:45kind of a waste of time. Like, Andre
- 4:47Petroski, very good grappler, very good
- 4:49wrestler,
- 4:50not the best boxer, but he can make it
- 4:52work, you know what I mean? But, his
- 4:54durability, his chin is just [ __ ]
- 4:55zero. Um the guy genuinely got put out
- 4:58by a hip bump from [ __ ] Jacob
- 5:00Malkoun. So, I just feel like it's
- 5:02impossible to pick this guy. I just
- 5:04can't pick him at middleweight. Like,
- 5:05it'd be one thing if he was at
- 5:06flyweight, where I would be like, you
- 5:09know, listen, then not everyone has
- 5:10one-shot KO power, right? But, it's the
- 5:12fact that you're fighting a guy that
- 5:13does have KO power, and you're also in a
- 5:16division where you've been nuked so many
- 5:18times that it's just it's just really
- 5:20difficult for me to trust him. I'm going
- 5:21to go with Contratodavicius by round one
- 5:23KO, all right?
- 5:25Next fight of the night, we've got
- 5:26Carlos Calderon. That sounds like a Fast
- 5:28and Furious character. This guy just
- 5:30looks like a Fast and Furious
- 5:31background. Like, "What up, dude? This
- 5:33is Carlos Calderon, man. He's going to
- 5:35get us across the border. You know what
- 5:36I mean? You know what I mean? He's going
- 5:37to get us He's going to get us to the
- 5:38race in Tijuana, bro. He knows what's
- 5:39up. What up, cuh? You know what I mean?
- 5:41Like, that's that's this guy, bro.
- 5:43versus Austin Bashi, aka [ __ ] Dude, I
- 5:46love Austin Bashi. This guy's such a G.
- 5:48Like, if you watch this guy on
- 5:49Instagram, you know that he's like Tony
- 5:50Ferguson 2.0. I love Bashi. I do think
- 5:53he wins this fight. I think that
- 5:55Calderon, listen, he's on a little win
- 5:57streak. He beat Damon Jackson, you know
- 5:59what I mean? Listen, dude, it is what it
- 6:00is. Um and he did get out of a darce
- 6:02choke against Alberto Montes on
- 6:04Contender Series, which is somewhat
- 6:05impressive. Um did get subbed in the
- 6:07second round regardless, but um I think
- 6:09that he is just such a good match up for
- 6:11Austin Bashi. Like he's just a tall,
- 6:13upright striker that doesn't have a
- 6:15massive reach advantage, doesn't really
- 6:17have the power or the striking accuracy
- 6:19of Jose Delgado, my goat Jose Delgado.
- 6:22And I do feel like the way that this guy
- 6:24fights, like he's very tall and upright
- 6:25and he just like kind of he kind of just
- 6:27like blobs at you like this standing up
- 6:30tall. And I feel like Austin Bashi is
- 6:32just going to blast blast double the
- 6:33[ __ ] out of this guy. Like I do feel
- 6:34like Austin Bashi is so much more
- 6:36explosive.
- 6:38On the feet he's very like he's very
- 6:40counterable because I feel like he
- 6:42doesn't really jab, he just swings big
- 6:44meaty [ __ ] hooks. Like he I feel like
- 6:46Lucas Tra- Lucas Tracy would kind of
- 6:48fight like Austin Bashi and Stuart
- 6:50nickel put together. Like that's that's
- 6:52really what I think of Austin Bashi is
- 6:53just the big meaty hooks in the blast
- 6:55doubles. He does remind me of a young
- 6:57prime Lucas do Tracy. So I I do think
- 7:00that on the feet listen he's a little
- 7:01bit exploitable, but in this match up I
- 7:03don't know if if Carlos Cadero has this
- 7:05kind of KO power on the feet. Um and I
- 7:08think when it comes to when Austin Bashi
- 7:09beats him to the hips and gets on the
- 7:10takedowns, he's going to do really well
- 7:12to take this guy down and get on his
- 7:13back. I think he's going to get a rear
- 7:15naked choke in the second or third
- 7:16round. Um the way that Austin Bashi like
- 7:18chain wrestles and passes and gets to
- 7:20the back, um he's really [ __ ] good
- 7:22and I think that Austin Bashi has legit
- 7:24toughness, great cardio, um kind of a
- 7:26blockhead goat. We [ __ ] love him. I
- 7:28think this is a match up that he wins.
- 7:30So we're going to go with Austin Bashi
- 7:31by rear naked choke in the second or
- 7:33third round. Um yeah, dude. All right.
- 7:36Next fight of the night, I would love if
- 7:37any of these would [ __ ] open. Watch
- 7:39the main event just Bro, this company
- 7:40Bro, you guys sold this [ __ ] for seven
- 7:42bill- like you guys got paid seven
- 7:44billion by Paramount. You can't even fix
- 7:46your [ __ ] website.
- 7:47Come on, mate. You know what I mean?
- 7:49Like come on, mate. Like come on, dude.
- 7:52It's funny when I do it, you know what I
- 7:53mean? I'm just a YouTuber, you know,
- 7:54when I don't edit [ __ ] I don't fix
- 7:56anything.
- 7:57It's kind of endearing, you know what I
- 7:58mean? But this is just abysmal.
- 7:59Regardless, bro, I'm really excited
- 8:01about this fight. I'm not going to let
- 8:02let this ruin it for me. I really really
- 8:04like this fight. I think this should be
- 8:06on the main card to be honest. I don't
- 8:08really know why we got [ __ ]
- 8:11Mitra Bozo on the [ __ ] main card. I'm
- 8:13not going to lie, this is a way better
- 8:14fight.
- 8:15Really tough fight. I'm going to go with
- 8:17Magomedov by decision. I think this is
- 8:19actually going to be a really tough
- 8:19fight for him. I think that Jose Delano
- 8:22has a very good chance to win this. He
- 8:23has really good takedown defense. He can
- 8:25strike going forward at a high pace.
- 8:27Good power, good timing.
- 8:29Kind of crafty crafty boxing a little
- 8:31bit similar to Davey Grant. He has good
- 8:33submissions. He has a lot of submissions
- 8:34under his belt. He can win by decision.
- 8:36He doesn't gas out. He's got KO power.
- 8:38He's very well-rounded and I like the
- 8:40way that he fights and I definitely
- 8:41think that he's a very tough match-up
- 8:43for Murtazali Magomedov. But Magomedov
- 8:45seems to be something special. I think
- 8:47that this will be his toughest fight in
- 8:49terms of getting his wrestling and
- 8:50grappling off because like I said, Jose
- 8:51Delano, if you watch the tape, this
- 8:53guy's takedown defense is [ __ ] A1.
- 8:55He's really [ __ ] good overall.
- 8:58I think that the reason I'm going to go
- 9:00with Magomedov by decision is that he
- 9:03won't have a wrestling threat once he
- 9:05gets stuffed a couple of times and his
- 9:06grappling will kind of be less of a
- 9:08factor.
- 9:10I think it will be a competitive
- 9:11back-and-forth striking fight, but I
- 9:12think that Delano's style kind of opens
- 9:14him up a little bit more to strikes. I
- 9:16don't think he's going to get chimed. I
- 9:18don't think he's going to get submitted,
- 9:20especially submitted. Like maybe he gets
- 9:22chimed, but I don't think he gets
- 9:23submitted.
- 9:24And I think that overall Murtazali
- 9:27Magomedov is just a little bit more
- 9:28powerful, a little bit more, you know,
- 9:30quick and snappy, more explosive. I
- 9:33think that he will have that takedown
- 9:34threat early on to kind of establish
- 9:36some stuff. So, I think this will be a
- 9:37close fight, but I think that Delano
- 9:39will probably lose the first two with
- 9:41that takedown threat getting pieced up a
- 9:43little bit. Starts to walk forward. I
- 9:44think he wins the third round landing
- 9:46straight punches, landing body shots. I
- 9:48was really contemplating picking Delano
- 9:50in this fight. Like maybe I maybe I
- 9:51should have, but
- 9:53I think he's really [ __ ] good. I
- 9:54think both of these guys are legit like
- 9:56145 prospects.
- 9:58Really think this should be on the main
- 9:59card. Honestly, I think this should be
- 10:00in front of a crowd if I'm if I'm
- 10:02completely honest, but yeah, I think
- 10:04Magomedov gets this one done by
- 10:05decision. I'm going to go with the
- 10:06undefeated guy. But it's a close fight,
- 10:08all right?
- 10:09Next fight of the night, we've got
- 10:10Karine Silva versus Gabriella Fernandes.
- 10:14This is tough, dude. This is [ __ ]
- 10:16tough, man.
- 10:18I'm going to go with Silva by decision.
- 10:19I think that it's going to be close.
- 10:21Like I don't know why she's like a
- 10:23ginormous favorite. I'm not super
- 10:25impressed by Karine Silva. Like she's
- 10:27like a good striker.
- 10:29No takedown defense.
- 10:31When she's on bottom, she just throws up
- 10:33subs. Like she doesn't get She's not
- 10:34getting up. Um
- 10:37and some of her wins are kind of
- 10:38robberies. You know what I mean? Like I
- 10:39just think I don't get really get the
- 10:42glaze behind Karine Silva. But my
- 10:44problem with Fernandez and the reason
- 10:45why I'm picking Silva is though like
- 10:48Fernandez, I think has more power on the
- 10:50feet and more of a submission threat and
- 10:51probably has a better grappler overall.
- 10:54She doesn't really shoot takedowns. Like
- 10:55she does just kind of [ __ ] stand
- 10:57around and hope that you can't chin her
- 11:00and then she's going to take over and
- 11:01start doing well. You know what I mean?
- 11:02That's kind of what she did against Wang
- 11:03Cong. Tried that gimmick against the
- 11:06goat Casey O'Neill. You don't know how
- 11:07hard it has to be a fighter. She tried
- 11:09that gimmick against the goat Casey
- 11:10O'Neill got [ __ ] nuked, dude. Shout
- 11:13out to Casey O'Neill, bro. Friend of the
- 11:14channel. But yeah, I think my problem
- 11:16with Fernandez is like
- 11:18she has power and submissions, but she
- 11:20just kind of stands around. Like she's
- 11:21kind of Cheeto maxing in his prime. You
- 11:23know what I mean? So uh she's not super
- 11:25accurate. She's kind of a slow starter.
- 11:27And I think relying on a KO in women's
- 11:29MMA is really difficult to pull off. So
- 11:32I'm going to say Fernandez, maybe she
- 11:34does well later on in the fight. Maybe
- 11:35she pulls off with like a round three
- 11:37KO, but I'm going to say Karine Silva
- 11:39wins like a 29-28 decision. Just doing a
- 11:41little bit more output, little bit more
- 11:43shadow boxing at range, little bit
- 11:45quicker early on. I think she's going to
- 11:46get that one done by decision. Next
- 11:48fight of the night, Thomas Peter
- 11:50Griffisson
- 11:51versus Gabriel Lorenzo. Listen, I just
- 11:53need to say this, dude. Okay? I just
- 11:56need to [ __ ] say this.
- 11:57Cuz I I feel like a lot of you guys
- 11:58think I've gone soft and I won't say
- 12:00what I think, bro. That's not true at
- 12:01all. And I'm working I will say this.
- 12:04This is a little bit of inside baseball.
- 12:05I'm working on a debate with DC. I'm
- 12:07trying to make it happen. I'm trying I'm
- 12:09talking to people behind the scenes. I'm
- 12:11trying to get my get back and make a
- 12:12debate with DC. So if you guys want to
- 12:14see that, let me know in the comments
- 12:15cuz I'm trying to make that happen. But,
- 12:17I I just got to say this, bro. Lorenzo,
- 12:18this guy's ass.
- 12:20Like, I don't rate this guy at all. And
- 12:23I think this guy is like an an emblem.
- 12:25Nothing against the guy personally. I
- 12:27don't know the lad at all, all right?
- 12:29Maybe if I was Brazilian, I'd be [ __ ]
- 12:30glazing this guy. But,
- 12:32um
- 12:33I just think this guy's the perfect
- 12:34example of like, "Yo, he had a round one
- 12:36KO in Contender Series, bro. He's going
- 12:38to win this fight, dude." Like, I swear
- 12:40to god, that's what you hear every
- 12:41[ __ ] week. And then you watch this
- 12:43lad's fight, and you realize that
- 12:45Contender Series is no longer about
- 12:47who's actually good. Like, there is good
- 12:49guys on Contender Series every single
- 12:50year, right? Including this year.
- 12:52There's heaps of guys that I'm super
- 12:53excited about from this season. But,
- 12:55there's also a bunch of just [ __ ]
- 12:57straight blobs. Like, just straight up
- 13:00you why are you even in the UFC? Like,
- 13:02no disrespect, but honestly, the UFC
- 13:04should have some [ __ ] standards.
- 13:05Like, this guy
- 13:07they they literally just sign everyone
- 13:10who [ __ ] wins, and hope one of them
- 13:12turns out to be good cuz it's cheaper
- 13:13than like carefully selecting who to
- 13:15sign or like we're going to pay Rico
- 13:17Verhoeven a certain amount of money.
- 13:18We're going to pay this guy and this
- 13:19guy. You know, instead of doing all that
- 13:21[ __ ]
- 13:23they're like, "Let's just sign anyone
- 13:24who gets a finish on Contender Series."
- 13:25Or not even a finish. If you're tough
- 13:27and you're a blockhead, you're getting
- 13:29signed. And this guy is like a perfect
- 13:31example of that. Like, a- and too, the
- 13:34thing is like you people glaze the [ __ ]
- 13:36out of Contender Series cuz it's like,
- 13:38"Oh, finishes, bro." And they glaze
- 13:39fights and it's always good finishes,
- 13:40you know what I mean? When it's
- 13:41literally just low-level fights, and
- 13:43it's like you can have we used to have
- 13:45both of like high-level fighters and
- 13:47finishes. Um and I think this guy's
- 13:49finish on Contender Series is a great
- 13:50example of that. He literally just ducks
- 13:52his This is the [ __ ] highlight of
- 13:54this guy.
- 13:57Boom, and he just catches the [ __ ] at
- 13:58the end of the [ __ ] punch. He's not
- 14:00even looking. He just catches the [ __ ]
- 14:01at the end of the punch. Literally takes
- 14:03no [ __ ] skill whatsoever. Catches the
- 14:05guy at the end of the punch. Just drops
- 14:07some [ __ ] hammer fists to the back of
- 14:09the head, and that's and Chris Tognoni's
- 14:11too scared to jump in. That's the end of
- 14:12it. I don't I'm not picking this guy to
- 14:15beat Thomas Peterson, bro.
- 14:17Peterson can legit wrestle. Like he's
- 14:19not not that good on the feet, but he's
- 14:22like he's got a little bit of crafty
- 14:23boxing like he knows what he knows what
- 14:24to do.
- 14:25And I think he has the experience in the
- 14:27fight IQ. He's going to mix in
- 14:28takedowns. He's going to blob this
- 14:29[ __ ] guy.
- 14:30And I really hope that he gets a finish
- 14:32so that we can be like, yo, there's we
- 14:33need to chill with these Contender
- 14:35Series signings. Again, nothing against
- 14:36Gabriel Lorenzo. Don't chin me, lad, but
- 14:38I'm going with Peterson easily by
- 14:40decision. Um I do not think this guy is
- 14:42that good to be honest, all right?
- 14:44Featured prelim of the night, we've got
- 14:46Kaichiro Nakamura who fluked Seps La.
- 14:49Not over it. I was there in person. I
- 14:51wasn't [ __ ] happy, mate. I was having
- 14:53a [ __ ] steaming mood. I'm lucky that
- 14:56Volk didn't get fluked, or else I really
- 14:57would have [ __ ] crashed out. But
- 14:58regardless,
- 15:00uh Nakamura coming in taking on Ollie
- 15:04Schmied, who's four and three. And I
- 15:06dude,
- 15:07I'm rooting for Schmied, bro. Like he's
- 15:09a New Zealander. He's basically
- 15:10Australian. I'm rooting for this guy.
- 15:11I'm picking Nakamura, bro. Like TKO,
- 15:13round two or three. Okay? I hope I'm
- 15:16wrong. I really hope I'm wrong. Um I
- 15:18just think that Schmied is a guy that
- 15:19got thrown into the deep end too early
- 15:20in his career and he's kind of paying
- 15:21the price for it. Like he fought Dim
- 15:23Skillz, who's like a very well-known
- 15:25regional fighter here in Australia. Like
- 15:27super experienced, fought everybody,
- 15:29super entertaining. He's fighting on the
- 15:3014th, actually. He's very Yeah, I'll be
- 15:32on commentary. Um but you know, he took
- 15:34a lot of damage in that fight against
- 15:35Skillz. And Skillz is not a UFC guy.
- 15:37Like he's a guy that's like seven and
- 15:38five or something like that. Like yeah,
- 15:40Schmied took a beating in that fight.
- 15:42Like he did well early on, but he took a
- 15:44beating. And I think since then,
- 15:46>> [clears throat and cough]
- 15:47>> he rebounded against guys with like
- 15:48basically no fights, looked really good,
- 15:50and then boom, here's My One Rhiki in
- 15:52your [ __ ] UFC debut on short notice.
- 15:54Get slimed. Do you know what I mean?
- 15:56Like it's it's unfortunate, but I think
- 15:58that I just have to bring up the fact
- 15:59that this guy's taken a lot of damage.
- 16:01And I just don't know if he's ready for
- 16:04this this this UFC run right now.
- 16:06Whereas Nakamura, he is quite low
- 16:08output, but he has very good timing. He
- 16:10finds KO shots quite well. And I expect
- 16:12Schmied to actually win the first round.
- 16:14I actually think he's going to look
- 16:15decent in this fight. Like he's actually
- 16:17really good. I think he has a a very
- 16:18good skillset. I think he's really good.
- 16:20It's just I just don't think he's
- 16:21experienced enough against this level of
- 16:23guy, you know, to win these type of
- 16:25fights. And I also think he's taken a
- 16:26lot of damage, you know? So, that's kind
- 16:28of my problem is like I think Schmidt
- 16:29can wrestle. I think he can strike
- 16:31decently well. Trains with a really good
- 16:32team. Was at City Kickboxing. Now he's
- 16:34at that new gym with Israel Adesanya.
- 16:36Like, this guy's really [ __ ] good. I
- 16:37just think that Nakamura's probably
- 16:39going to cause more damage and win this
- 16:41fight. I think that Schmidt probably
- 16:42takes him down,
- 16:44does well early on, maybe has some
- 16:46flashy moments on the feet. He loves to
- 16:47spin. I think he is very vulnerable to
- 16:50calf kicks. I think Nakamura will start
- 16:51to find that. I think that his hands do
- 16:53come down as the fight goes on. He's
- 16:55open to body shots. I think Nakamura
- 16:57will do a good job dealing with the
- 16:58spinning attacks, too. That's kind of
- 16:59the main weapon of Olli Schmidt is like
- 17:01the spinning back kick, the spinning
- 17:03back fist, all this type of stuff. Um he
- 17:04did a good job defending that against
- 17:06Sebside. Really was losing that fight
- 17:08because Sebside is an eternal champion.
- 17:10Like, he's a he's a high-level guy that
- 17:11moves very similarly to Volk. Like, he's
- 17:13not the same level as Volk, but he moves
- 17:14quite similar to him. Like, jab, catch
- 17:17you in the pocket with the hook, move
- 17:18around, leg kicks, and just got fluked,
- 17:20you know what I mean? Whereas Schmidt,
- 17:22more aggressive, going to kind of bum
- 17:24rush you, looking to throw something
- 17:26crazy at the end of an exchange. I think
- 17:28that opens him up to counters. I think
- 17:30he's going to get KO'd. I just think
- 17:31it's too much, too soon. It's a it's a
- 17:33big step in competition from Rahiqi.
- 17:35Like, it's a big step down, but that
- 17:37fight was not competitive at all. So, I
- 17:38don't really feel like, "Oh, well, he's
- 17:40going to win against this guy." Like,
- 17:41there's no shame in in losing a close
- 17:42fight to Rahiqi. It's like, you know
- 17:43what I mean? So, yeah, that that's my
- 17:45opinion. I'm going with Nakamura to
- 17:47close out the prelims. Let's move on to
- 17:49the main card. I just cannot get over
- 17:50the fact that Markus de Lead looks like
- 17:53Mini like Yes King Bro. Rest in peace,
- 17:55Yes King Bro. He looks like Yes King
- 17:56Bro.
- 17:58I almost wanted to Mitrione is one of
- 18:01these guys like a Pat Sabatino that
- 18:03initially I like hated and now I'm kind
- 18:05of like rooting for him cuz I think it's
- 18:07funny.
- 18:08I almost wanted to fluke up a crafty
- 18:10Mitrione decision victory prediction
- 18:12because I think that Markus de Lead
- 18:14early on is going to be swinging big and
- 18:16missing. And maybe that just carries out
- 18:17through the fight. I think that Mitrione
- 18:19fights decently well on the back foot
- 18:21and he's kind of crafty, but he just has
- 18:23so many like disadvantages physically in
- 18:26this fight. I think that the reach, the
- 18:28height, like I do worry
- 18:30he's probably going to get clipped big.
- 18:32Like he doesn't really have the power in
- 18:33my opinion to stop
- 18:35Marcos de Lima from coming to get him. I
- 18:37feel like early on he will he will be
- 18:38quite crafty. Like he'll be moving and
- 18:40circling quite well and he'll look good
- 18:42in the boxing compared to Marcos who who
- 18:44kind of just swings wild and I think
- 18:46early on when Reposo is sharp and mobile
- 18:48he'll be able to keep things calm and
- 18:49land the more accurate strikes and maybe
- 18:51mix in takedowns and mix in the clinch.
- 18:53Um and I do think that De Lima will be a
- 18:55guy that's probably look looking to like
- 18:56threaten submissions and then end up on
- 18:58bottom. But I think that 15 minutes with
- 19:00Marcos de Lima who has real like 125
- 19:03knockout like knockdown power
- 19:05is a very scary prospect. Like I think
- 19:07that he's one of these LFA Brazilian
- 19:10monsters that is probably going to put
- 19:13the pace on Mitrione, be on the front
- 19:15foot, defend the takedowns a little bit
- 19:17easier considering he's going forward.
- 19:19When he swings big early on I think he
- 19:20will probably get taken down or miss
- 19:22big, but I think as this fight goes on,
- 19:24when we reach like mid round two into
- 19:27round three, I think De Lima is going to
- 19:28start tighten things up a little bit,
- 19:29settle into the fight. I think he's
- 19:31going to find a KO with like a left hook
- 19:33or an uppercut, maybe a body shot. I
- 19:35think that De Lima is just a lot more
- 19:37explosive. So I'm going to go with
- 19:38Marcos de Lima by like round two or
- 19:39three KO. He's an example of a guy from
- 19:41Contender Series that I thought was
- 19:42actually good, all right? Um next fight
- 19:44now we've got Priscila Cachoeira versus
- 19:46Bloody Nina Milosevic mate. And if you
- 19:49don't know why I'm whipping out the
- 19:50Aussie impression cuz she's she's
- 19:51wrapping Sydney dude. So we should we
- 19:53are team Nina Milosevic brother, all
- 19:55right?
- 19:56We're picking her by round one cut round
- 19:58one cut all right? Round one KO
- 20:00Adelaide, all right? Let's [ __ ] oath,
- 20:02all right? Um I I I'm not built like
- 20:04that, all right? Let me chill. But we're
- 20:05going with Nina Milosevic by round one
- 20:07TKO.
- 20:08Uh Priscila Cachoeira is a jobber in my
- 20:10opinion, so I'm going with Nina to win
- 20:11that one. Uh big fan, great performance
- 20:14in her debut, got a body shot TKO which
- 20:16was really [ __ ] nasty. That was that
- 20:18legendary Serbia card that was, you
- 20:21know, a couple of jobber fights, but
- 20:22also like some fun match-ups, you know
- 20:24what I mean? So, that was a really fun
- 20:26card, like a lot of finishes, a lot of
- 20:28good back-and-forth scraps.
- 20:29Um and she was a big standout from that.
- 20:31So, I'm definitely riding with her on
- 20:33this one. Let's move on. There's this
- 20:35kid called Lucas Fernando. There's a guy
- 20:37called Lucas I don't even know who Lucas
- 20:38Fernando is.
- 20:41Dude, I didn't have to say anything.
- 20:43Like, I just let that moment speak for
- 20:44itself in the video. I hope you guys
- 20:46understand what was going on in that
- 20:48that that Timbo and DC interview. Like I
- 20:50said, I'm trying to work on the the
- 20:51rematch, all right?
- 20:52Um we got Lucas Fernando versus Billy
- 20:54Elekana.
- 20:56I think Billy Elekana is pretty solid,
- 20:57but I'm going to go with Lucas Fernando
- 20:59by KO in the third or second round.
- 21:03I really feel like this guy has
- 21:04potential to be top 15. I think he is
- 21:07like he's got that type of build and
- 21:09that striking game that he's going to
- 21:11give Billy Elekana a lot of problems. I
- 21:12think that this is a good test for him.
- 21:13I think that Billy Elekana is pretty
- 21:16solid overall. Like, he will try to
- 21:17wrestle and I and I like that. I I think
- 21:19he's one of the rare 205ers that will
- 21:22mix things up depending on who he's
- 21:23fighting and will kind of, you know,
- 21:25have a sort of game plan to test out
- 21:27everything. He's not like a KO or bust
- 21:29type of guy. Like, he can win by
- 21:30decision. He's very solid at point
- 21:32fighting. He does just get hit really
- 21:34hard and seem to just kind of accept it
- 21:36and start crumbling. Like, I think that
- 21:38Junior Tafa, if he had any takedown
- 21:40defense, he would have beat Billy
- 21:41Elekana. He was hurting him. He was
- 21:43landing good shots on him. Uh you know,
- 21:44Bogdan Guskov got out of that back
- 21:46control, immediately turned the tides on
- 21:48him, and Billy Elekana kind of crumbled.
- 21:49I know it was like short notice, but
- 21:51still. Um the only guy that I remember
- 21:53him beating quite easily was like Ibo
- 21:54Aslan, and that's cuz Ibo Aslan couldn't
- 21:56hit a [ __ ] you know, like Ibo
- 21:58Aslan's accuracy is so low. Like, he's
- 21:59just a [ __ ] meathead just swinging
- 22:01hooks. So, I think that Fernando is a
- 22:03lot more technical than those guys, but
- 22:06has the size, the girth, the tonnage at
- 22:08the wazoo. Uh fought Rafael Tobias, who
- 22:11can get submissions, I can grapple
- 22:13decently well, um even though he has
- 22:15zero fight IQ. I think Billy Elekana has
- 22:16better fight IQ, but probably worse
- 22:18physicality. I think that Fernando, with
- 22:21the jabs, with the knees, with the leg
- 22:23kicks, huge reach advantage, I think
- 22:25he's going to get this one done by KO in
- 22:27the second or third round.
- 22:29Um I think that he's probably going to
- 22:30get out of some sort of like takedown
- 22:32entry with a knee and maybe push back
- 22:34Elekana to the cage, let his hands go,
- 22:36maybe rip a punch to the body that drops
- 22:38him, start landing knees to the head,
- 22:39Elekana kind of crumbles. That's going
- 22:41to be the end of it. Up against the
- 22:42cage, I'm saying knees and punches. Uh
- 22:44in honor of Guru, I'm going to say body
- 22:46shot against the fence, you know. Real
- 22:47ones remember when every prediction from
- 22:49Guru was like body shots against the
- 22:51fence, mate. All right?
- 22:53Featured fight tonight, there's still
- 22:54nothing opening. We've got Davey Grant.
- 22:56Oh my days, it's dangerous. Davey Grant,
- 22:59mate, he's a [ __ ] legend of the game.
- 23:00versus Elijah Smith. Um Davey Grant
- 23:03liked one of my comments on Instagram,
- 23:04so shout out to the goat Davey Grant.
- 23:06Elijah Smith, very good prospect. This
- 23:09is a really good featured fight. I
- 23:10actually am very excited about this. Um
- 23:15I'm going to go with Elijah Smith by
- 23:16decision. I think that this is going to
- 23:18be a competitive fight. I think Davey
- 23:20Grant is actually a really really tough
- 23:23fight for Elijah Smith. Um he's got the
- 23:26crafty craftiness, you know, he mixes up
- 23:27the body and the head strikes well. He's
- 23:29good at being on the back foot. Like
- 23:31Davey Grant's not a guy that has to be
- 23:33fighting one way or the other. Like he
- 23:34can grit out bad fights. He can survive
- 23:37a round of of getting his back taken and
- 23:38then turn the tides, you know what I
- 23:40mean? Like he can win a fight that he's
- 23:41losing. Davey Grant is never going to
- 23:43like give up and
- 23:44or anything like that. He's happy to
- 23:46fight wherever the fight goes because
- 23:48he's so experienced, because he's so
- 23:49[ __ ] crafty, and he has the power.
- 23:52Um Solid takedown defense, like not not
- 23:55the best in the world, but like not not
- 23:57a major liability, which is interesting
- 23:58in this fight. Um not the most physical,
- 24:01and I think that's a big factor why I'm
- 24:02probably going to go with Smith. Like I
- 24:04I think that the kicking game of Davey
- 24:05Grant is very interesting. I'm
- 24:06interested to see how much he utilizes
- 24:08his calf kicks and his front kicks and
- 24:10his body kicks and his movement and his
- 24:12footwork, and I think he's very very
- 24:14crafty when it comes to that. And I do
- 24:15think he's going to have success in this
- 24:17fight. I think this is going to be a
- 24:19competitive decision fight where either
- 24:21guy could really come away with it. I
- 24:22just think that Smith has bigger power,
- 24:25way more athletic, way more explosive,
- 24:28very good grappling when he gets on top.
- 24:31He can be taken down. He can be out
- 24:33scrambled by Crofty Evets. But, I I
- 24:35think fundamentally Davey Grant is going
- 24:38to have most success striking and kind
- 24:39of piece him up, counter him early on.
- 24:42But, I think that Smith's physicality is
- 24:44a huge factor to consider and I think
- 24:45it's going to make Davey Grant a little
- 24:47bit more defensive and kind of punching
- 24:49to be moving more than just standing his
- 24:51ground and kind of and trading, which is
- 24:53where we see him get these KO's. So, I
- 24:54think that the the pop and the thud and
- 24:57the the snap of of
- 24:59Elijah Smith is going to put Davey Grant
- 25:00a little bit more on the defensive and
- 25:02make him a little bit more pitter-patter
- 25:03and, you know, maybe make it a close
- 25:05fight, but I think Elijah Smith will
- 25:07probably have the bigger moments with
- 25:08his physicality. Like, getting
- 25:09takedowns, landing big shots that Davey
- 25:12Grant just doesn't see coming cuz he's
- 25:13way faster and way more powerful. Um I
- 25:16think it's going to be a decision win
- 25:17for Elijah Smith. Maybe he finds a a
- 25:19submission, um depending if he's just
- 25:22better than I think, but I do think he
- 25:24can win this fight. I I really like
- 25:26Elijah Smith as a prospect, but I think
- 25:27Davey Grant's going to be a tough fight
- 25:29for him. All right?
- 25:30Co-main event, we've got Tatiana Suarez
- 25:32versus Viviane Araujo D'obera.
- 25:35I'm going with Araujo D'obera to win
- 25:36this, bro. I think that Tatiana Suarez
- 25:39is Listen, there's a lot of things to
- 25:40like about Tatiana Suarez. She's very
- 25:42physically imposing. She's got a big
- 25:43frame, big reach, big strength for the
- 25:46division.
- 25:47But, I feel like she's pretty
- 25:48one-dimensional. Like, she doesn't
- 25:49really strike. She's like a southpaw.
- 25:52She'll throw a couple punches and then
- 25:54she wants to get a hold of you. And if
- 25:55she gets a hold the body lock, she's
- 25:56very, very effective. Um if she can get
- 25:59you against the cage, she will just
- 26:01smudge you there. She'll get her hands
- 26:02together. She'll dump you.
- 26:03Um
- 26:04The biggest weapons that she has in
- 26:06terms of her finishing ability and her,
- 26:07you know, fight altering moments are the
- 26:09guillotine and the rear naked choke.
- 26:12But, when she gets reversed or when she
- 26:13gets taken down, she doesn't really look
- 26:16to sweep or, you know, build back up to
- 26:19her initially. She's looking to wrestle
- 26:20up and keep it going. And I don't think
- 26:22that on her back she's very effective at
- 26:24all. And there's no ground and pound
- 26:26really doesn't Again, her striking is
- 26:28not really anything worth noting.
- 26:30Whereas Viviane Araujo D'obera, I mean,
- 26:32know she's a mean but she's low-key
- 26:33good. Like she's actually the female
- 26:35Honey Badger in my opinion. She's very
- 26:37crafty with her BJJ. She times her
- 26:39takedowns very well. I fully expect her
- 26:41to kind of surprise Tatiana Suarez and
- 26:43time her with a takedown. And if Tatiana
- 26:45Suarez jumps the guillotine on her, I
- 26:47mean maybe she gets subbed but I think
- 26:48Virna Jandiroba is so experienced and so
- 26:50good in the grappling that she can
- 26:51probably get out of it uh better than me
- 26:53and [ __ ] get on top and control the
- 26:55round. I don't think Tatiana Suarez will
- 26:56have easy time getting back up without
- 26:59wrestling up and maybe giving up her own
- 27:00neck or getting her back taken. So, I I
- 27:02think that the problem for
- 27:05Bro, my
- 27:08You guys can't hear my cat but this
- 27:10[ __ ] is like still going at the
- 27:12door trying to get in just to [ __ ]
- 27:14leave in 10 seconds. I'm actually
- 27:15getting sick of this [ __ ] bro. But
- 27:16regardless, um the problem for Suarez in
- 27:20terms of her her lone loss to Weili
- 27:23Zhang were uh sorry, Jandiroba, her loss
- 27:26to Mackenzie Dern most recently
- 27:28is when someone can be offensive off
- 27:30their back. Like she's going to take you
- 27:32down but if somebody can be actively
- 27:35punching off their back, threatening
- 27:36submissions, right? Genuinely sweeping
- 27:39and scrambling and reversing position.
- 27:41That is her problem, right? And on the
- 27:42feet, Mackenzie Dern is a blockhead.
- 27:44She's going to throw strikes. She's
- 27:45going to land. Um and I think that in
- 27:47this fight it's going to just be Suarez
- 27:49kind of standing around looking to get
- 27:50takedowns. And even if she takes down
- 27:52Virna, I think Jandiroba has shown she
- 27:54has good sweeps, good get-ups. She has
- 27:56legit jiu-jitsu off her back. She can
- 27:58wrestle up without giving up her neck.
- 27:59She can get to good positions. She can
- 28:01get on top. And I think overall her
- 28:02grappling IQ is higher. Has better
- 28:05boxing. She's going to be on the front
- 28:06foot. She's going to be a gritty
- 28:07gritster. She's probably going to slow
- 28:09down in the third, get taken down, and
- 28:11lose the entire round. But I'm going to
- 28:13go with Virna Jandiroba by 29-28
- 28:15decision. I think that she's very
- 28:16underrated and I think she probably wins
- 28:18that fight, all right, man? Main event
- 28:20of the evening, we've got Waldo Cortez
- 28:22Acosta. I have been stemming the
- 28:24Dominican dad like versus Johnny Walker.
- 28:27I know black I Dominican. I know black,
- 28:29bro. I'm nunca going to be black. I'm
- 28:31Dominican, papi. We got Waldo versus
- 28:34Johnny Walker.
- 28:36This is an interesting main event cuz I
- 28:38do feel like the chinny narrative for
- 28:40Johnny Walker, it's not fully proven at
- 28:42heavyweight. We don't really know,
- 28:44right? There's got to be something to
- 28:45the fact that this guy's now not cutting
- 28:4740 lbs, right? Like there's got to be
- 28:49something to that. I think that the
- 28:51weight cut is a very underrated part of
- 28:52this this breakdown.
- 28:54And when it comes to them as fighters, I
- 28:56think obviously Waldo Cortes Acosta is
- 28:58the better boxer, but he's very low
- 28:59output.
- 29:01And that kind of makes me think this
- 29:02will go longer than people expect. Um
- 29:04one thing about Waldo is he will cover
- 29:06distance quite well with like three to
- 29:07four strikes. Like he has fast counters
- 29:09with the right hand. Usually though,
- 29:11like he can he has these moments where
- 29:13he's like cover distance bang bang bang.
- 29:15Or, you know, pull back right hand super
- 29:17effective, you know what I mean? Like
- 29:18he's got that a couple times, but
- 29:20otherwise he does just kind of like jab
- 29:22and jiggle around. Like he's
- 29:24gets hit with calf kicks, gets hit with
- 29:25leg kicks. He isn't chinny to the legs
- 29:28like some of my goats, you know what I
- 29:29mean? But he does get hit with them. And
- 29:31I think overall Waldo does struggle with
- 29:33guys that can move around and be light
- 29:35on their feet and control the range and
- 29:37land jabs, land kicks, mix in the clinch
- 29:40and the wrestling. And I think Johnny
- 29:42Walker has a decent style to kind of
- 29:43frustrate Waldo Cortes Acosta. Like he's
- 29:45going to spam leg kicks. He will like
- 29:47kick and then put a punch right behind
- 29:49it. I could see that working decently
- 29:50well on Waldo who doesn't really, you
- 29:52know, address those kicks too much. Like
- 29:54he'll just kind of pull back his legs. I
- 29:56think his head will still be on center
- 29:57line.
- 29:59And one thing about Johnny Walker that
- 30:00we all know is he's very effective in
- 30:02the clinch. If he gets a hold of Waldo
- 30:03Waldo Cortes Acosta, I think he's going
- 30:05to have success with knees to the body,
- 30:07elbows. Um when he breaks out of the
- 30:09clinch, I do think he could maybe get
- 30:11caught with a big right hand. Um and
- 30:13Walker can be backed up if you can shut
- 30:15down the leg kicks. If you can make it a
- 30:17straight I'm in your face boxing with
- 30:19you like a Volkan Oezdemir or Magomed
- 30:21Ankalaev who actually check the kicks
- 30:23very very well. The And Dominick Reyes
- 30:25as well, obviously being a southpaw,
- 30:26those leg kicks weren't really there as
- 30:28much.
- 30:29That is when he when he has troubles,
- 30:30right? Um because then when it comes to
- 30:33the boxing, he'll he'll frame out with
- 30:35his feet together. He'll put his chin
- 30:37up. He really relies on the fact that
- 30:40people are worried about running into
- 30:41him and getting caught. And I think back
- 30:43to guys like Oezdemir who were able to
- 30:44like jab to the body and then find shots
- 30:47up top and then eventually chin him.
- 30:49It's interesting breaking them down cuz
- 30:51I could see a world where Walker just
- 30:53spams kicks and Waldo kind of jiggles
- 30:54around at range and flicks the jab and
- 30:57both guys don't really commit to
- 30:58anything much else and it's a close
- 30:59fight. And I could also see a world
- 31:02where, you know, Waldo is getting pieced
- 31:04and kind of nukes Johnny Walker on the
- 31:06chin on the break of a clinch. It's It's
- 31:07They They have similar things that could
- 31:10bother the other person in terms of
- 31:11their what they're good at, what they're
- 31:12bad at. I don't know why, but I think
- 31:14this fight's going to be boring as [ __ ]
- 31:16Like that's my prediction. I think that
- 31:17this is going to be a snoozer. I think
- 31:20this is either going to be a Waldo
- 31:22Cortes da Costa round two KO
- 31:24or this is going to be like Thiago
- 31:26Santos versus Johnny Walker. It seems
- 31:28like Walker has figured out not to just
- 31:31jump around and fight with his [ __ ]
- 31:33chin up. And Waldo is also very low
- 31:35output, like I said. He's not going to
- 31:37rush things. And I feel like sometimes
- 31:39that almost costs him decisions where
- 31:41he's just getting stuck with body kicks
- 31:42and leg kicks.
- 31:44Landing his jab, you know, landing big
- 31:46overhands that kind of get blocked and
- 31:47they're glancing and he gets hit with
- 31:48stuff that's glancing and it's It's very
- 31:50tough to say who won. Whereas Walker
- 31:53will probably have higher output, bigger
- 31:55moments, like more explosive moments.
- 31:57Even if they're not landing fully clean
- 31:59on Waldo, I feel like Waldo is not going
- 32:02to like force the issue too much against
- 32:04Johnny Walker as this fight goes on. I'm
- 32:06going to say Johnny Walker wins this by
- 32:08decision. I'm going to say this is a
- 32:09[ __ ] snoozer. I'll say Johnny Walker
- 32:12spams leg kicks, spams calf kicks. Waldo
- 32:15doesn't necessarily get rocked with them
- 32:17the way that Zhangmingyang did or like
- 32:18Mick Parkin. Maybe he does. Maybe Walker
- 32:20just destroys him. But I'll say that
- 32:22that Waldo does a little bit better
- 32:23dealing with that. But that stops him
- 32:26from throwing his jab as much. That
- 32:27stops him from kind of covering distance
- 32:29as much. And it's mainly just Johnny
- 32:31Walker kind of jiggling around, popping
- 32:33the jab, popping the leg kicks, whipping
- 32:35up [ __ ] you know what I mean? Waldo
- 32:37tries to rush him. Johnny Walker
- 32:38clinches him up.
- 32:40A lot of just fainting and and backing
- 32:42themselves up against the cage kind of
- 32:43waiting for the other guy to do
- 32:44something stupid. I think that Waldo's
- 32:47game works best against blobs. Whereas
- 32:49Johnny Walker like his losses, Volkan
- 32:51Oezdemir not a bad loss at all. Magomed
- 32:53Ankalaev not a bad loss at all. Like I
- 32:55think Johnny Walker is going to look so
- 32:57much faster at heavyweight than he has
- 32:59at light heavyweight compared to the
- 33:00guys that he's fighting now. Waldo is
- 33:02not slow. He's not plodding, but he is
- 33:03still a blob. So I think that Johnny
- 33:06Walker does have the type of game to
- 33:08kind of frustrate Waldo Cortes da Costa
- 33:10and win a decision or he's getting nuked
- 33:12out cold. That's kind of my opinions on
- 33:13it. But let me know your predictions in
