- 0:00Yes, hello, I’m Mustafa Eren. Guys,
- 0:01I’m going to get straight to the
- 0:03point quickly. If you’re currently
- 0:04scoring under 15-20 net in TYT math
- 0:06practice tests, welcome to the club.
- 0:08Because I was in the same position as
- 0:11you once. This situation is such a
- 0:13plague, if I may say so, such a crappy
- 0:15situation that it’s hard to get out
- 0:17of once you're in it. It is difficult
- 0:19to raise your score from these net
- 0:20levels. I’m going to share this video
- 0:22with you as transparently and honestly
- 0:24as possible, without editing it. I want
- 0:26to tell you this. In this video, I
- 0:28won’t feed you any nonsense like if
- 0:30you watch this camp, buy this book, or
- 0:32follow this tutor, you’ll get 92 net
- 0:34in TYT math. I’m going to explain
- 0:36everything to you honestly. Now, in TYT
- 0:38math, increasing your net score is easy
- 0:40at first, but it gets difficult after a
- 0:42certain point. If you are really a
- 0:44zero-level student watching this video
- 0:46right now, let me tell you this clearly
- 0:48. Getting from 0 net to 15-20 net is
- 0:50definitely not a hard thing. It’s
- 0:52easier to improve from those scores.
- 0:54Because the first 12 topics—I won't
- 0:56say without struggling, because I
- 0:57struggled while studying them too. I
- 0:59mean, I had to listen to the simplest
- 1:01topic in the world, exponents, from 6
- 1:02different tutors. Because I was
- 1:03studying from scratch. So, I won’t
- 1:05say an easy process awaits you, but it
- 1:06definitely gets much harder to increase
- 1:08your net after a certain point. So, I
- 1:10can say it's easier to increase your
- 1:11net if you're starting from zero. Now,
- 1:12let’s not get sidetracked. Let me get
- 1:14to the part I really want to tell you.
- 1:16Guys, there’s a thing in math. No
- 1:17matter how much you study or how many
- 1:19questions you solve, your net score
- 1:20gets stuck after a point. Like, you
- 1:22can't get past 15 or 20 net. For
- 1:24example, I had finished a YouTube
- 1:25tutor's camp, but my net scores were
- 1:27stuck. I couldn't do it. I couldn't
- 1:28solve those problem questions in the
- 1:29practice tests. There were questions in
- 1:31the resources I couldn't solve. I would
- 1:32watch the tutor's video on YouTube. I
- 1:33would go to the question bank. I
- 1:34couldn't solve them and I was going
- 1:35crazy. And I was at home. I was
- 1:37studying all by myself. I wasn't going
- 1:38to any tutoring center, institution, or
- 1:40school. I was already a vocational high
- 1:41school graduate. I had dropped out of
- 1:42school. I was struggling so much and
- 1:44this situation was really tiring me out
- 1:45. My head was literally throbbing. I
- 1:47didn't understand, but at the end of
- 1:48the day, that was actually what helped
- 1:50me improve. I didn't know that. I was
- 1:51always skipping it. Whenever I faced a
- 1:53difficult question, I’d just say, "
- 1:54forget it, just skip it." I really was
- 1:56skipping them. I wasn't dwelling on
- 1:57them enough. I would watch the video
- 1:58solution, but if that same question
- 1:59came up the next day, I couldn't solve
- 2:00it again. Can I tell you something,
- 2:01guys? This was the biggest mistake we
- 2:03were making. I realized this at the
- 2:04time, of course, and immediately
- 2:06applied the solution. I'm telling you
- 2:08the solution now. You absolutely, and I
- 2:09mean absolutely, must apply this. Look,
- 2:11without doing anything else, definitely
- 2:13do what I’m telling you. If you’ve
- 2:15understood what I’m saying in this
- 2:16video, that’s it; you don’t need to
- 2:17do anything else. Now, guys, have a
- 2:19simple notebook, okay? There will
- 2:21always be questions you struggle with
- 2:23or can't solve in the question banks or
- 2:24practice tests you do, so don't be lazy
- 2:26. Take those questions, cut them out,
- 2:28and paste them into that notebook.
- 2:29I’m being serious. Take them, cut
- 2:31them, and paste them into that notebook
- 2:32. And write down step-by-step next to
- 2:34it how that question was solved and
- 2:35which method was used. Spend the same
- 2:38amount of effort on every question you
- 2:39cannot do. Even if this takes half an
- 2:41hour of your day, do it. Because this
- 2:44is what will increase your score.
- 2:45Review that notebook regularly every
- 2:47single day. Just dedicate half an hour
- 2:49of your day to that notebook. Say, "Let
- 2:51me look at the questions I couldn't
- 2:52solve." Let me try to solve them again
- 2:54and again. After a month, there will
- 2:55already be 150-200 questions in that
- 2:57notebook. Those 150-200 questions are
- 2:59the best questions in the world.
- 3:01Questions you couldn't find even if you
- 3:02searched for them. So, you don't need
- 3:03to solve 55 different question bank
- 3:05sources. I am being serious. I make all
- 3:07my students solve a maximum of two
- 3:08sources for TYT math. It's enough. It's
- 3:10unnecessary. I mean, after a certain
- 3:12point, the questions in the sources
- 3:13start repeating themselves. No
- 3:14publisher puts their high-quality
- 3:15questions in a question bank anyway.
- 3:17Quality questions are usually found in
- 3:18practice exams. In short, you will have
- 3:20a wrong-answer notebook, and you will
- 3:22paste the questions you got wrong into
- 3:24it and review them regularly. How did
- 3:26this help me improve? Now let's get to
- 3:27that part. After I finished that
- 3:28YouTube teacher's bootcamp, I could get
- 3:3015-16 net scores in practice exams. I
- 3:31was skipping the first 12 topics with
- 3:33just a few mistakes. I could handle
- 3:34that part. I had reinforced it well,
- 3:36but I was struggling a lot when it came
- 3:37to the problem-solving section. The
- 3:39problems were really giving me a hard
- 3:40time. And it turns out there is
- 3:41something like this. If we examine all
- 3:42the TYT math questions from the last 15
- 3:44years, which I have. I say this as
- 3:46someone who has examined them. These
- 3:47people go in circles and make you
- 3:49question the same logic. Let's take the
- 3:50"Maruf" model, for example. The same
- 3:52will happen in the Maruf model. Why?
- 3:53They will take the questions they asked
- 3:55you before, put them in a more logical
- 3:57framework, turn them into a structure
- 3:59you have to construct, and ask that in
- 4:01the Maruf model too. So actually, not
- 4:02much will change. The structure of the
- 4:04question will change, but the method
- 4:05and logic to solve it will always be
- 4:07the same. ÖSYM really does this. ÖSYM
- 4:09has a question pool, and they keep
- 4:10twisting, turning, and flipping the
- 4:12same things to ask them. After I took
- 4:14the questions out for my wrong-answer
- 4:15notebook, I was basically solving the
- 4:16same questions over and over. I repeat.
- 4:18Man, the same types of problem
- 4:19questions are always asked. It is
- 4:20always the same logic. The shape of the
- 4:22question changes. The wording of the
- 4:24question changes, but after a point,
- 4:25the solution methods really start to
- 4:27look very similar. Look, I am telling
- 4:29you without exaggeration. If we break
- 4:30down all the logic in the TYT math
- 4:32problem questions, there are maybe 200
- 4:35different question types. And these 200
- 4:37different question types are converted
- 4:40into 1001, even a million different
- 4:42versions, and presented to you in
- 4:44question banks and practice exams. Look
- 4:46, it is seriously like that; if there
- 4:48is a friend among you who has finished
- 4:50such a TYT math practice exam, and from
- 4:52a good publisher at that, they have
- 4:53surely noticed this too. Because the
- 4:55same logic keeps repeating itself. The
- 4:57same logic is asked. For example, we
- 4:58don't realize this when we first start
- 5:00studying. I hadn't realized this, and I
- 5:02was dealing with a lot of pointless
- 5:04things. I think that if I watch 10
- 5:05different YouTube instructors, my math
- 5:07net will jump to 30-35, but that's not
- 5:09how it works. The key is actually to
- 5:11study a bit smarter. You know how we
- 5:13always say, instead of studying 10
- 5:14hours a day, sit down and study
- 5:15properly. Knowing what you're doing and
- 5:17how you're doing it, studying 7 or 8
- 5:18hours is more than enough. That's
- 5:20actually what it really comes down to.
- 5:21This was the biggest piece of advice I
- 5:23could give you. The second biggest
- 5:24piece of advice I can give you is, man,
- 5:25there's this thing called subject
- 5:26practice tests. And this thing is
- 5:27absolutely perfect. I won't recommend
- 5:28any specific publishers to you. You can
- 5:30look at whichever publisher you want,
- 5:31by the way. For example, there are
- 5:32number practice tests for numbers. What
- 5:33are numbers? The practice tests for the
- 5:34first 12 topics. There are separate
- 5:36practice tests for word problems. For
- 5:37geometry, there are separate tests for
- 5:39triangles, quadrilaterals, and so on.
- 5:40The questions here are so well-selected
- 5:42, so similar to what ÖSYM might ask,
- 5:44that they improve you tremendously.
- 5:45Regardless of which publisher you
- 5:47choose, these automatically improve
- 5:48your timing. They also increase your
- 5:50solving speed. They also enhance your
- 5:51ability to identify problem-solving
- 5:53methods. This was my biggest
- 5:54realization. As soon as I finished the
- 5:56number practice tests. Then I went and
- 5:57bought another publisher's version. I
- 5:58felt like I had mastered math because I
- 6:00wasn't missing questions from the
- 6:01numbers section—the first 12 topics
- 6:02—anymore. I wasn't missing questions
- 6:03from the word problems either. I
- 6:04finished the triangle practice tests. I
- 6:05became insanely good at triangles, and
- 6:07all of this happened at once. I mean,
- 6:09after I started using these practice
- 6:11tests, my score increased significantly
- 6:12. I don't remember the exact time, but
- 6:15after using these tests, I clearly saw
- 6:17the progress and the increase in myself
- 6:18, and I had a realization. I thought, "
- 6:21Why didn't I discover these a few
- 6:23months earlier?" That kind of
- 6:24realization. In short, my friend, you
- 6:26need to have a notebook for your
- 6:28mistakes. And also those subject
- 6:29practice tests I mentioned—I'm not
- 6:31giving you a specific publisher. You
- 6:32can look at any publisher you want.
- 6:33These really improve you a lot. I think
- 6:35these are the two biggest factors in
- 6:37TYT Math. No matter which YouTube
- 6:39instructor's camp you follow, these are
- 6:40the two things that will improve you
- 6:42the most. Now, I want to add one more
- 6:44thing. "Oh, my friend is solving this
- 6:46publisher's book.""They are solving
- 6:48this one.""This publisher must be great
- 6:49.""Let me buy this one, too." Don't be
- 6:50a resource hoarder, okay? Man, solving
- 6:53two question banks for TYT Math is more
- 6:55than enough. Look, don't be a resource
- 6:56hoarder. Solve subject practice tests,
- 6:58man. Go ahead and get TYT math practice
- 6:59tests. Get number tests, problem tests;
- 7:01buy those. But don't keep buying
- 7:03question banks. Just have two solid,
- 7:04decent question banks. These are more
- 7:06than enough. Look, I honestly see
- 7:08students doing this. The guy has bought
- 7:0915 TYT math question banks. When are
- 7:11you going to finish these and when will
- 7:12you start AYT Math? There are only 8.5
- 7:14months left until the exam anyway.
- 7:15Don't overdo certain things. Besides,
- 7:16the more resources you buy, the more
- 7:18stressed you'll get. "Oh, I haven't
- 7:19finished these resources; am I falling
- 7:21behind?" These things just stress
- 7:23people out. I experienced this over
- 7:24time, too, because my resources started
- 7:25looking overwhelming to me. I feel like
- 7:27if I don't finish those resources, I
- 7:29won't succeed. But that's not the case,
- 7:31man. And you already see this at the
- 7:32end of every year. Ninety percent of
- 7:34students 'resources haven't been solved
- 7:35. They say, "We bought them for nothing
- 7:37, we wasted our money," and so on. Yeah
- 7:38, man, seriously, two resources per
- 7:40subject are really enough. Solve plenty
- 7:41of practice exams. Solve
- 7:42subject-specific practice tests. The
- 7:43thing that will increase your net
- 7:44scores is subject practice tests. I
- 7:46mean, if you're watching this video,
- 7:47you should stand out. Never act like a
- 7:48question bank monster ever again, man.
- 7:51Get practice tests, solve plenty of
- 7:52them. Especially topic tests, you know,
- 7:55subject tests, solve these. These will
- 7:57truly make you soar. If you do what I
- 7:59say, you'll really see the difference.
- 8:01And, well, I want to see something from
- 8:03you in the comments. I really want to
- 8:04see that you've tried these methods and
- 8:06truly succeeded. Because I've been
- 8:08having my students apply this for years
- 8:09and I get very successful results. Now
- 8:10I want to have you apply these here as
- 8:12well. Apply them, man, really. Don't go
- 8:14looking for different things. Don't
- 8:15look for miraculous magic wands or
- 8:16anything. Apply these. You will truly
- 8:18be successful. Man, never listen to
- 8:20anyone around you. It's all nonsense.
- 8:22Like, "If you don't solve this resource
- 8:23, it won't work," or "If you don't
- 8:24listen to this teacher, it won't work."
- 8:24Just completely ignore those. Look
- 8:26ahead. Do what I tell you. I hope you
- 8:29will be well rewarded for all your hard
- 8:30work. If something is on your mind, you
- 8:31can write it in the comments section. I
- 8:33will try to answer as much as I can.
- 8:34Take care. May God be with you.
