  1. 0:00My name is Matija.
  2. 0:01Just to give you some context,
  3. 0:03uh my fiance and I are planning a baby
  4. 0:05soon, and if I can't make my business
  5. 0:08work
  6. 0:09now, [clears throat] I definitely won't
  7. 0:10be able to with less time and less
  8. 0:12sleep.
  9. 0:13>> [snorts]
  10. 0:13>> So,
  11. 0:14uh for 2 years I've basically worked
  12. 0:1612-hour 12-hour days, uh doing
  13. 0:18everything myself, uh telling my family
  14. 0:20I'm going to I'm building the future,
  15. 0:22but in truth I I've been uh pretty much
  16. 0:25stuck in place.
  17. 0:27So, I run a marketing agency for
  18. 0:29realtors and home improvement companies
  19. 0:31in Slovenia.
  20. 0:32>> Okay.
  21. 0:32>> Uh so, Facebook ads, content, and
  22. 0:35appointment booking.
  23. 0:36>> Mhm.
  24. 0:36>> I have four clients at total of 3K MRR.
  25. 0:40>> Okay.
  26. 0:40>> Last year I made 30K, and my goal is So,
  27. 0:44in the last 12 months I made 30K, and my
  28. 0:46goal is 30,000 net profit per month.
  29. 0:49>> Yeah. So, let me ask you a couple
  30. 0:51questions here. Um
  31. 0:52>> Yeah.
  32. 0:55>> Can you do the exact same thing in the
  33. 0:56US as you do in Slovenia?
  34. 1:00>> Uh yeah, I guess I could, but uh the
  35. 1:02market there is at least for the
  36. 1:05realtors is probably uh a bit different.
  37. 1:08Um but at least as far as I know, so
  38. 1:10there would definitely be some changes I
  39. 1:12would have to make.
  40. 1:13I Yeah, I currently make um
  41. 1:17content and educational content for
  42. 1:18them, which I um which is the only like
  43. 1:21fixed revenue source I have
  44. 1:23since they pay me a retainer on that.
  45. 1:25>> And so, you have to make content.
  46. 1:27>> Yeah, I I make them content which
  47. 1:29performs really well, uh but uh then I
  48. 1:32also do lead gen for them, so.
  49. 1:33>> So, you run ads.
  50. 1:35>> Yes, Facebook.
  51. 1:36>> What do you And you charge 3K a month?
  52. 1:38>> Uh no, 3K a month is uh like all
  53. 1:41together for from all the clients. So,
  54. 1:44yeah, I'm making um I'm making 15 to to
  55. 1:4625% on revenue share, and some on uh
  56. 1:50yeah.
  57. 1:50>> So,
  58. 1:52I I want to give you the the best piece
  59. 1:55of the that I can give you. So, right
  60. 1:57now is all of your content in Slovenian
  61. 1:59right now?
  62. 2:01>> Uh yeah.
  63. 2:02>> Okay, so all of your content
  64. 2:03>> So, I I actually I don't make any
  65. 2:05content if that's what you mean.
  66. 2:06>> Okay.
  67. 2:07How do you attract customers right now?
  68. 2:10>> Uh cold calling. I've basically had the
  69. 2:12same clients for the past like 6 months.
  70. 2:16Uh because I like I mentally I can't do
  71. 2:18anymore.
  72. 2:19>> Yeah, yeah, yeah.
  73. 2:20So, there's a couple of things right
  74. 2:22now. So, number one, the customer is
  75. 2:25what you're charging versus what you're
  76. 2:27delivering is mismatched. You're not
  77. 2:28charging enough for the amount you're
  78. 2:30doing. That's thing one.
  79. 2:32Thing two is in order to get basically
  80. 2:36appropriately priced,
  81. 2:38you most likely want to go after a
  82. 2:40bigger market. Now, normally I don't say
  83. 2:41like switch markets or things like that,
  84. 2:43but you're at the very beginning. And
  85. 2:45so, it's like what's a 100x force
  86. 2:47multiplier on the skill set you have?
  87. 2:49You already speak English, right? So,
  88. 2:51I'd rather you just like can we can we
  89. 2:54Cuz like if you sold in the US like you
  90. 2:56can sell $1,500, $3,000 per client.
  91. 3:03It's just the dollar's stronger and
  92. 3:04especially for what you're doing, you're
  93. 3:06doing content and ads, which is crazy.
  94. 3:08Most people literally only pick one or
  95. 3:09the other.
  96. 3:10You're doing both.
  97. 3:15>> And that's why you suggest that I switch
  98. 3:17to the US.
  99. 3:18>> I think that's what we need to do
  100. 3:19long-term. Short-term, I'd like you to
  101. 3:22increase revenue. So, how do we do that?
  102. 3:24So, you're just doing cold calls, you're
  103. 3:27not making content for yourself, but you
  104. 3:28are making it for your customers, right?
  105. 3:31>> Yep.
  106. 3:32>> How much additional effort would it be
  107. 3:33for you like if you're making them
  108. 3:34content, how can you not make your own
  109. 3:36content?
  110. 3:37>> So, that was actually one of my
  111. 3:39additional questions I wanted to ask if
  112. 3:41I should
  113. 3:42>> 1,000% yes. Not even a question. 100%
  114. 3:44you should be doing that. So, what I
  115. 3:46would do is uh do it in Slovenian and
  116. 3:48then have it translate and then put the
  117. 3:49captions in English. That way there's no
  118. 3:51accent.
  119. 3:53If that's where you're more comfortable.
  120. 3:54>> Okay.
  121. 3:55>> And I would make the content about you
  122. 3:57making their content.
  123. 3:59So, basically think of it like this. If
  124. 4:00you were to teach someone how to do
  125. 4:02everything that you do in your business
  126. 4:03without them paying you, what would you
  127. 4:05teach them? That's what you make your
  128. 4:06content about.
  129. 4:09>> Okay, make it in Slovenian and then
  130. 4:11>> Yeah, cuz
  131. 4:11>> just that captions in English.
  132. 4:13>> Not just get No, no. Get the voice Get
  133. 4:15Get AI voice translation for for for the
  134. 4:17content. Yeah, exactly.
  135. 4:19>> Um that accent would be a issue.
  136. 4:21>> Yeah, cuz I want it to be for now and
  137. 4:23later. So, it might not even be correct
  138. 4:24cuz it's Are you on Instagram? I'm
  139. 4:26guessing that's where you're making the
  140. 4:26content for them.
  141. 4:28>> Um mostly Facebook. Instagram is not
  142. 4:30doing that well.
  143. 4:31>> Okay. So, I mean, the thing is the
  144. 4:33additional effort to do on both
  145. 4:34platforms is almost nothing. You could
  146. 4:36probably charge them for that, too, as a
  147. 4:37side note. But, for you, you can take
  148. 4:39the same thing, go on TikTok, go on
  149. 4:41Facebook, go on Instagram, post it. Um
  150. 4:43make sure that you have the translations
  151. 4:45in place. I would um if you want it to
  152. 4:47be cuz like sometimes the algorithm can
  153. 4:49be weird, you can have a US page and a
  154. 4:50Slovenian page. Again, it's not a lot of
  155. 4:52additional extra work to just duplicate
  156. 4:53the effort. And so, what this does is
  157. 4:55number one, this builds your content
  158. 4:57strategy while building theirs.
  159. 4:59So, we can solve for both today in terms
  160. 5:01of lead gen, and then tomorrow in terms
  161. 5:02of the fact that you're going to have US
  162. 5:04customers, which you can charge US
  163. 5:05rates. And so, I honestly just want you
  164. 5:07to take whatever you're charging and add
  165. 5:08a zero to it, and that's your US price.
  166. 5:12>> Okay.
  167. 5:12>> Seriously. Now, in terms of tactical,
  168. 5:15well, that is tactical, but the next
  169. 5:17piece that I want you to do
  170. 5:18is Are you familiar with ManyChat? That
  171. 5:20is that how you have them working leads
  172. 5:21or getting leads?
  173. 5:22>> Uh no, I I watched the the educational
  174. 5:27like content you put like 2 weeks ago. I
  175. 5:29watched that. So, I actually I'm just
  176. 5:32basically implementing it for the
  177. 5:33organic side. So, that's that would be
  178. 5:35just a additional source of leads
  179. 5:38besides the the ads.
  180. 5:40Um so, I'm in the process of
  181. 5:42implementing that, yeah.
  182. 5:43>> Okay.
  183. 5:47And
  184. 5:49Okay. So, number one,
  185. 5:52you make content about helping them make
  186. 5:55content. And so, you try to replace
  187. 5:57yourself by teaching the public, the
  188. 5:59world, every single thing you do to
  189. 6:02build content. Hold nothing back. All
  190. 6:04right, I'm telling you. You want to hold
  191. 6:05nothing back cuz
  192. 6:06>> [laughter]
  193. 6:07>> just for for the for these niches, I
  194. 6:09guess, for for real estate and home
  195. 6:11improvement?
  196. 6:12>> Yes. You want to show them everything.
  197. 6:13So, the automations, the AI that you
  198. 6:15use, everything that you do to run run
  199. 6:16the business better, I want you to show
  200. 6:18all of it. Cuz when people see how much
  201. 6:20work you're doing, they're going to be
  202. 6:21like, "This guy knows what he's doing,
  203. 6:22and I don't want to do that work." And
  204. 6:24then they inquire. All right, thing one.
  205. 6:26Thing two, turn on the ManyChat
  206. 6:28automation so that when you are posting,
  207. 6:30put a CTA in the first line and the
  208. 6:33video, and then new followers
  209. 6:34automatically get a DM where you can
  210. 6:36sort them and say, "Hey, are you here
  211. 6:37for free stuff?"
  212. 6:39Or do you like to grow your, you know,
  213. 6:41real estate, whatever. Um and then you
  214. 6:43can start working those DMs as leads.
  215. 6:45Number three, is that from the leads
  216. 6:47that come in from that US Instagram,
  217. 6:50uh change the prices to US by adding a
  218. 6:52zero and offering the same thing. That's
  219. 6:54what I would do.
  220. 6:58>> Okay.
  221. 6:59Um so
  222. 7:00>> a sexy lead magnet. Do you have a lead
  223. 7:01magnet?
  224. 7:02>> For myself, no.
  225. 7:04>> Yeah. Yeah.
  226. 7:05Make one for yourself that's 100 days of
  227. 7:07content for uh real estate. 100 days of
  228. 7:09content in 100 minutes. Ooh.
  229. 7:11Ooh.
  230. 7:12That sounds great. I like that. 100 days
  231. 7:14of content in 100 minutes. That's your
  232. 7:15CTA.
  233. 7:16>> Yeah, I
  234. 7:17I basically have to completely rethink
  235. 7:20how to actually do content because it's
  236. 7:22probably very different from for the US
  237. 7:23market, at least.
  238. 7:25>> I actually don't think so.
  239. 7:28It's They're solving They're solving the
  240. 7:29same issues.
  241. 7:30The algorithm is still humans. It's what
  242. 7:32humans find interesting.
  243. 7:34>> Okay.
  244. 7:35>> Cuz I'll tell you this.
  245. 7:36Yeah, go ahead.
  246. 7:38>> Yeah, right now the best content that's
  247. 7:39working is actually about like Texas and
  248. 7:43like the the laws.
  249. 7:44>> Yeah.
  250. 7:45>> So what's actually allowed and how to do
  251. 7:47some particular part of let's say
  252. 7:49selling a house.
  253. 7:50>> Yeah.
  254. 7:50>> So those things are different.
  255. 7:52>> Those would be different by country. I
  256. 7:53agree there. But it's not like it's not
  257. 7:55hard to find out.
  258. 7:57If you have a concept that works, just
  259. 7:58make the US version of the concept.
  260. 8:01>> Okay.
  261. 8:02>> And yes, this is a major departure, but
  262. 8:04the benefit of what you're doing right
  263. 8:06now is that if you were super super
  264. 8:08super far along, it's much heavier to
  265. 8:09change. But since you're earlier on in
  266. 8:11the in the course, you might as well
  267. 8:12shoot for the moon and get it right the
  268. 8:14first time.
  269. 8:16>> Yeah.
  270. 8:17>> But this still allows you to build for
  271. 8:19today and tomorrow. You're still going
  272. 8:21to make your Slovenian content. We're
  273. 8:22going to duplicate into the US. We're
  274. 8:24going to add the CTAs in terms of the
  275. 8:25100 to 1 100 content in 100 minutes. 100
  276. 8:28days of content in 100 minutes. We'll
  277. 8:30have our new followers that we get and
  278. 8:32the people who respond to lead magnet.
  279. 8:33And when you get a US person, add a
  280. 8:35zero.
  281. 8:37>> Okay.
  282. 8:38So with the current clients, I just keep
  283. 8:41them as cash flow.
  284. 8:43>> For now. Yeah, yeah. I You got to You
  285. 8:44got to pay bills and and feed fam.
  286. 8:47>> Okay.
  287. 8:48So there's Okay.
  288. 8:51What about for So this is more just
  289. 8:53specific for realtors. What about home
  290. 8:55improvement? So
  291. 8:57there I've actually been struggling to
  292. 8:58do content for them.
  293. 9:00>> Well, they're two different avatars.
  294. 9:01Which one would you rather serve?
  295. 9:02>> Yeah.
  296. 9:03Um
  297. 9:04well, I've been serving realtors
  298. 9:07>> Yeah.
  299. 9:07>> more.
  300. 9:08>> So then just focus on realtors. There's
  301. 9:09more than enough.
  302. 9:12You don't need two avatars. It's two
  303. 9:13different offerings, two different
  304. 9:14customers, two different businesses.
  305. 9:16>> And just go after the US market.
  306. 9:18>> Yep.
  307. 9:21>> Okay.
  308. 9:21>> So
  309. 9:22>> change, but yeah.
  310. 9:23>> Last point, focus on realtors.
  311. 9:25Just pick.
  312. 9:27>> Okay.
  313. 9:28>> Cool?
  314. 9:30>> Cool.
  315. 9:30>> Appreciate you.
  316. 9:31>> Thank you so much.
  317. 9:31>> No, you bet, man. I know it's going to
  318. 9:32be it's it's a you're in a hard time,
  319. 9:34but that's a It's a clear plan.
  320. 9:37>> Okay. Yeah.
  321. 9:38>> Thank you so much. I've been watching
  322. 9:39you for a long time, so
  323. 9:41>> I appreciate you, man. Rock and roll.
  324. 9:43And I'm I'm excited to hear how how
  325. 9:44things go in 6 months, right?
  326. 9:46If you are a business owner and you are
  327. 9:48not growing as fast as you'd like, I'd
  328. 9:49like to give you a free gift. So, my
  329. 9:51team and I put together the $100 million
  330. 9:53scaling roadmap, which is basically 200
  331. 9:55hours of us looking over all the
  332. 9:56portfolio companies we've had and what
  333. 9:59stages of growth they went through and
  334. 10:01more importantly, where they got stuck
  335. 10:02and how they got past it. And so, we
  336. 10:04broke it into 10 stages and we made this
  337. 10:06little kind of quiz thing where if you
  338. 10:07put in your business information, it'll
  339. 10:09tell you where you're at and the most
  340. 10:10important part for you, what to do for
  341. 10:12each of functions of the business across
  342. 10:13product, marketing, sales, customer
  343. 10:15success, recruiting, IT, human
  344. 10:17resources, and finance. And so, no
  345. 10:19matter what you're struggling with,
  346. 10:20someone else has already struggled with
  347. 10:22it and solved it. And so, I'd like to
  348. 10:24give you this thing absolutely free. You
  349. 10:25can go to acquisition.com/roadmap,
  350. 10:27plug in your business information, and
  351. 10:28if you want us to actually help you
  352. 10:30deconstruct the business and you're
  353. 10:32trying to scale, we'd love to help you
  354. 10:34out. On the thank you page, you can just
  355. 10:35book a call with my team and we will
  356. 10:38look at your business, see if we can
  357. 10:39help, and if we can, we'll invite you
  358. 10:40out to Vegas and we'll do this in person
  359. 10:42live.
