- 0:00Something has been shifting in you
- 0:01lately.
- 0:02>> [music]
- 0:02>> Maybe you can't name it precisely. Maybe
- 0:06you woke up one morning and the weight
- 0:08you'd been carrying for months,
- 0:10>> [music]
- 0:10>> that particular weight, felt somehow
- 0:13different. Not gone, just changed in
- 0:17texture.
- 0:18Like it moved from your chest to
- 0:20somewhere quieter.
- 0:22Or maybe the opposite is true.
- 0:25Maybe the last few weeks have been
- 0:27harder than expected. Old feelings
- 0:29surfaced, dreams [music] came back. You
- 0:32thought about someone you'd made peace
- 0:34with and the peace cracked just a little
- 0:36[music]
- 0:37around the edges. Or maybe you're
- 0:39reading this from a place of strange
- 0:41calm, a detachment that doesn't feel
- 0:43like giving up, more like arriving
- 0:46somewhere [music]
- 0:47without quite knowing when you left.
- 0:49Whatever brought you here,
- 0:51that feeling, that internal weather,
- 0:55this video is an attempt to sit with you
- 0:57inside it. Not to tell [music] you
- 0:59what's coming, not to promise you
- 1:01anything, but to help you understand
- 1:04what might be happening in you and why,
- 1:06[music]
- 1:07and what to do with it. Because this
- 1:10kind of emotional [music] experience,
- 1:13this particular type of intensity that
- 1:15comes with a deep soul level connection,
- 1:18deserves more than vague promises and
- 1:21recycled language. It deserves honesty
- 1:25and care. Um, so, let's go carefully
- 1:28what you're actually feeling and why
- 1:31it's so hard to describe. The difficulty
- 1:33with deep connections, the kind that get
- 1:36labeled twin flames and soul bonds or
- 1:39simply the love that changed you,
- 1:40[music]
- 1:41is that they don't behave like other
- 1:43relationships when they're in a period
- 1:45of distance or silence. With a regular
- 1:47breakup, even a painful one, there's
- 1:49usually a recognizable arc, grief,
- 1:53adjustment, eventual resolution. The
- 1:55feelings [music] follow a path you can
- 1:57trace, but this kind of connection
- 1:59doesn't follow that path. It circles
- 2:02back. It goes quiet for a while, and
- 2:04just when you've built something [music]
- 2:06solid in the silence, a new routine, a
- 2:09new sense of self, something stirs,
- 2:12[music]
- 2:13a song, a date on the calendar, a dream
- 2:16that's too specific to dismiss, [music]
- 2:18and you're back in it, or at least
- 2:20adjacent to it without having
- 2:22consciously chosen to return. That
- 2:24experience,
- 2:26that non-linear, almost rhythmic quality
- 2:29[music] of intense soul bond connections
- 2:32is real.
- 2:33It's not evidence that you're broken or
- 2:36failing to heal. It's evidence that
- 2:38something in you is genuinely
- 2:40unresolved, and that it's asking for
- 2:42attention in the only language it has
- 2:45available, feeling. What makes this
- 2:47period particularly disorienting is that
- 2:50the feelings don't always arrive in neat
- 2:53categories. You might feel grief and
- 2:56hope simultaneously. You might feel a
- 2:58deep peace one day and inexplicable
- 3:01anxiety the next. [music] You might feel
- 3:03clarity about who you are and total
- 3:06confusion about what you want, both in
- 3:09the same week, sometimes the same
- 3:11[music] afternoon. That's not a sign of
- 3:14instability. It's a sign that you're in
- 3:16genuine transition. Something is
- 3:19actually changing, but it's changing in
- 3:21the interior landscape first, which is
- 3:24always harder to track than events.
- 3:27Here's something worth [music] sitting
- 3:29with. When we're in a period of genuine
- 3:32internal shift, we often project that
- 3:35shift outward.
- 3:36>> [music]
- 3:37>> We look for evidence of it in the other
- 3:38person.
- 3:40We scan for signs in the connection.
- 3:43We wonder if what we're feeling
- 3:45internally is a reflection of something
- 3:47happening between the two people. It
- 3:49might be. Soul level connections do seem
- 3:53to carry a kind of non-verbal resonance
- 3:56that's difficult to explain in purely
- 3:58rational terms, but that resonance is
- 4:01easily confused with wishful thinking,
- 4:03and learning to tell the difference, not
- 4:06once but continuously, is one of the
- 4:09central challenges of this kind of
- 4:11experience. We'll come back to that
- 4:13distinction in a few minutes. [music]
- 4:15It matters enormously.
- 4:18What makes these connections so
- 4:20relentlessly activating? Most
- 4:22relationships, even intimate ones, allow
- 4:26you to maintain a reasonably stable
- 4:28sense of self.
- 4:29>> [music]
- 4:30>> You bring your personality, your
- 4:32history, your patterns, and while the
- 4:35relationship might challenge you
- 4:37occasionally, it doesn't fundamentally
- 4:40destabilize your self-concept. Certain
- 4:43connections don't work that way. There
- 4:45are people who, through some combination
- 4:47of timing, [music] chemistry, history,
- 4:50and whatever else you want to attribute
- 4:52it to,
- 4:52>> [music]
- 4:52>> spiritual, psychological, or simply
- 4:55deeply personal, have a way of reaching
- 4:58the parts of you that are most tender,
- 5:00most unresolved, most [music] defended.
- 5:03Not because they're trying to.
- 5:05Sometimes, precisely because they're
- 5:08not. These connections activate what was
- 5:10already there, the longing that predates
- 5:13[music] the relationship, the wound that
- 5:15never fully closed, the version of
- 5:17yourself that you put away in a drawer
- 5:19years ago because it was too much,
- 5:22[music] too needy, too afraid. This is
- 5:25why the separation from this kind of
- 5:27person [music] feels so categorically
- 5:29different from other separations. You're
- 5:31not just missing [music] them, you're
- 5:33missing a version of yourself that only
- 5:35seemed to exist in proximity to them,
- 5:38and that is a much more complex [music]
- 5:40loss to grieve. The spiritual tradition
- 5:43around twin flames, whatever you
- 5:45>> [music]
- 5:45>> make of it, gets at something real when
- 5:48it talks about these connections as
- 5:50mirrors, not in a literal or mystical
- 5:53sense necessarily, but in the sense that
- 5:55this person reflected something back to
- 5:58you about yourself, something you needed
- 6:01to see, something you may still be in
- 6:04the process of integrating. That
- 6:06integration doesn't require the other
- 6:09person's presence. It doesn't wait for
- 6:11reunion. It happens slowly, quietly,
- 6:15sometimes painfully, inside you, whether
- 6:18or not they're in the room, which means
- 6:20that what feels like the connection
- 6:22waking up might actually be you waking
- 6:25up, reaching a point in your own inner
- 6:27work where something that was previously
- 6:30too frightening to look at
- 6:31>> [music]
- 6:31>> is now becoming visible. And because
- 6:34this person is so deeply associated with
- 6:37that part of you,
- 6:38their presence returns in your inner
- 6:40world, in feeling, in [music] dream, in
- 6:44the strange resonance of an ordinary
- 6:46Tuesday.
- 6:47>> [music]
- 6:47>> Even when they're physically absent,
- 6:49that's not a cosmic signal necessarily.
- 6:52It might simply be your own psyche doing
- 6:55its work, or it might be both.
- 6:58I genuinely can't tell you with
- 7:00certainty,
- 7:01>> [music]
- 7:02>> and you should be suspicious of anyone
- 7:04who can.
- 7:05The difference between real clarity and
- 7:08emotional projection. Here's where we
- 7:11need to be honest with each other, even
- 7:13if it's a little uncomfortable. There is
- 7:15a version of this journey that is
- 7:17genuinely healing and growth-oriented,
- 7:21and there is a version that becomes a
- 7:23sophisticated way of avoiding grief and
- 7:26holding onto hope that [music] may not
- 7:28be serving you. Both feel like insight
- 7:31from the inside. That's what makes this
- 7:34so difficult. Emotional projection, the
- 7:37experience of taking your own internal
- 7:40state [music] and reading it as
- 7:41information about another person or
- 7:44about the connection [music]
- 7:45is not a sign of weakness or delusion.
- 7:48It's a deeply [music] human cognitive
- 7:51habit.
- 7:52When we're emotionally invested in
- 7:54someone,
- 7:54>> [music]
- 7:55>> our minds constantly generate theories
- 7:57about what they might be feeling, what
- 8:00the connection means, whether something
- 8:02is shifting. Some of those theories are
- 8:05accurate, some of them are the story we
- 8:07need to tell ourselves [music] to keep
- 8:09hope alive. The question is not whether
- 8:11you're projecting,
- 8:13you probably are, at least partially,
- 8:16>> [music]
- 8:16>> because that's what humans do,
- 8:18but whether you can hold your
- 8:20interpretations lightly enough to tell
- 8:22[music] the difference. Here are a few
- 8:24distinguishing questions worth sitting
- 8:26with honestly. When you feel that the
- 8:28connection is shifting, is that feeling
- 8:30accompanied by a corresponding shift in
- 8:32you? Are you actually different, more
- 8:35grounded, more clear, more at peace with
- 8:38yourself? Or are you simply feeling
- 8:40hopeful again? When you interpret
- 8:43something as a sign, does the
- 8:44interpretation require you to fill in
- 8:47several gaps that you can't actually
- 8:49verify? Because genuine clarity tends to
- 8:52be [music] simple, projection tends to
- 8:54be elaborate. And here's perhaps the
- 8:56most important one. Does the belief that
- 8:59the connection is moving toward
- 9:01resolution allow you to live your life
- 9:03more fully and freely today? Or does it
- 9:07function primarily as a reason to wait?
- 9:10I'm not suggesting the connection isn't
- 9:12real.
- 9:13I'm not dismissing what you've
- 9:14experienced or what you feel. I'm asking
- 9:18you to be rigorous about your own
- 9:20interiority
- 9:21in a way that actually honors the depth
- 9:24of what you've been through.
- 9:27The people who navigate this experience
- 9:29with the most grace
- 9:31are not the ones who stopped believing
- 9:33in the connection.
- 9:34They're the ones who stopped needing it
- 9:36to behave a certain way in order to be
- 9:40okay. [music]
- 9:41Detachment is not always loss. One more
- 9:44thing needs to be [music] said plainly
- 9:46about something that often gets misread.
- 9:49If you've been feeling more detached
- 9:50lately, less consumed by the connection,
- 9:54less preoccupied with what it means or
- 9:56[music] where it's going,
- 9:58that is not a regression.
- 10:00It is not you giving up, going cold, or
- 10:04failing the journey.
- 10:06It might be the most significant
- 10:07progress you've [music] made. Detachment
- 10:10in this context doesn't mean you've
- 10:12stopped caring. [music]
- 10:13It means you've stopped requiring a
- 10:16specific outcome in order to feel okay.
- 10:19That shift
- 10:20>> [music]
- 10:21>> from needing to trusting, from
- 10:23monitoring to living,
- 10:25is genuinely profound. It's [music] not
- 10:28apathy. It's a kind of emotional
- 10:30maturation that is hard-won and worth
- 10:33recognizing. Equally, if you've been
- 10:35feeling activated lately, restless,
- 10:37[music] emotionally tender, suddenly
- 10:40full of unresolved feelings,
- 10:42that is not a regression, either.
- 10:45It's not a sign that you've been knocked
- 10:46backward. Sometimes, the final layer of
- 10:50something is the most uncomfortable one.
- 10:53The last few feet of excavation always
- 10:56disturb the most soil. Neither state is
- 10:59better.
- 11:00Both can be part of the same underlying
- 11:02movement, a genuine and a gradual shift
- 11:06in how you hold this connection and what
- 11:09you need it to be.
- 11:11What the intensity is actually showing
- 11:13you.
- 11:15There is a specific quality of longing
- 11:17that accompanies this kind of
- 11:18connection,
- 11:19a longing that, if you look at it
- 11:21closely enough, reveals something
- 11:24important about what you've been
- 11:25carrying long before this person
- 11:27arrived. The ache that surfaces during
- 11:30separation from a soul level connection
- 11:34is rarely only about that person. It's
- 11:37also about the part of you that learned
- 11:39somewhere early in life that love
- 11:42requires absence [music] to be felt
- 11:44fully or that the most intense love is
- 11:47always somehow unreachable or that you
- 11:51have to earn presence by enduring
- 11:53distance. These are patterns, old ones
- 11:57usually [music]
- 11:59and they tend to stay invisible until
- 12:01something brings them to the surface and
- 12:03few things bring them to the surface
- 12:05more effectively than a connection of
- 12:07this depth.
- 12:09That's not a criticism.
- 12:11It's an observation that asks something
- 12:13of you.
- 12:14Because if the longing you feel in this
- 12:16connection is partly a very old longing
- 12:20for [music] something that predates this
- 12:21person entirely
- 12:23then waiting for the connection to
- 12:25resolve will not resolve the longing,
- 12:28not fully, not sustainably.
- 12:30>> [music]
- 12:30>> The work is to get curious about the
- 12:33origin of the ache, to ask, "What am I
- 12:36actually hungry for here? Is it this
- 12:38specific person or is it the feeling I
- 12:41have when I imagine a version of love
- 12:44where someone finally stays, fully sees
- 12:47me and isn't complicated by distance
- 12:49[music] or pain?" Both things can be
- 12:51true simultaneously. You can genuinely
- 12:54love this specific person and also
- 12:56[music] be carrying an older
- 12:58pre-existing longing that has found a
- 13:01home in them.
- 13:03Separating those two threads doesn't
- 13:05diminish the love. It clarifies it and
- 13:08it points you toward the work that is
- 13:11actually yours to do.
- 13:13The work that doesn't depend on what
- 13:15they do next. How to stay with yourself
- 13:19when everything feels uncertain. Here's
- 13:22where I want to be practical because the
- 13:24most spiritually resonant insight is
- 13:27worth very little if it [music] doesn't
- 13:29help you get through a Tuesday. When
- 13:31you're in a period of emotional
- 13:33intensity or strange calm around this
- 13:36connection, the most useful thing you
- 13:38can do is build [music] a practice of
- 13:40returning to yourself, not a grand
- 13:43spiritual discipline, something small
- 13:45and doable. First, notice, but don't
- 13:49immediately interpret. [music] When a
- 13:51feeling comes up, the resonance, the
- 13:54ache, the sudden inexplicable [music]
- 13:57calm, let it be there without
- 13:59immediately reaching for a meaning.
- 14:01Feelings are real. Their interpretations
- 14:05are provisional.
- 14:07You can acknowledge the feeling without
- 14:08deciding what it means for the
- 14:10connection.
- 14:11>> [music]
- 14:11>> Second, check in with your body, not
- 14:14just your mind. Intense feelings about
- 14:17this kind of connection tend to live
- 14:19primarily in the mind, in the stories,
- 14:23the possibilities, the interpretations.
- 14:25>> [music]
- 14:26>> Your body is often running a different,
- 14:28more honest story. Are you sleeping,
- 14:31eating reasonably, moving?
- 14:35The state of your body is often a more
- 14:37reliable indicator of your actual
- 14:39well-being than the state [music] of
- 14:41your thoughts. Third, talk to the
- 14:44connection differently.
- 14:46>> [music]
- 14:46>> Instead of monitoring it, looking for
- 14:48signs, trying to track its movements,
- 14:51>> [music]
- 14:51>> try relating to it as something already
- 14:54within you. This person, whatever their
- 14:57role in your life, has shaped you.
- 15:00That shaping [music] is complete in one
- 15:02sense, regardless of what happens
- 15:04externally.
- 15:05>> [music]
- 15:06>> You can speak to what they meant to you,
- 15:09what you learned, what you're still
- 15:11integrating.
- 15:13You don't need their physical presence
- 15:15to do that work. Fourth, resist the
- 15:18urgency to know.
- 15:20There is an urgency that tends to
- 15:22this kind of connection.
- 15:24An impatience about what's going to
- 15:26happen, when,
- 15:28and what it means.
- 15:30That urgency is understandable. It's
- 15:32also one of the primary ways we pull
- 15:35ourselves out of the present moment and
- 15:37into a future that doesn't exist yet.
- 15:41What's actually in front of you today?
- 15:44Who is the version of you that exists
- 15:46right [music] now, separate from what
- 15:48this connection might become? That
- 15:50person is worth investing in. Not as a
- 15:54consolation prize, as the actual
- 15:56substance of your life.
- 15:59Fifth,
- 16:00be careful with the communities and
- 16:02content you consume. [music]
- 16:04There are spaces, online and offline,
- 16:08that are genuinely supportive around
- 16:10this type of experience. And there are
- 16:12spaces that, even with good intentions,
- 16:15create a feedback loop of
- 16:17interpretation, speculation, and
- 16:19escalating certainty [music] that can
- 16:22pull you further from your own grounded
- 16:24center. If the content you're consuming
- 16:26consistently makes you feel more
- 16:29anxious, more dependent on external
- 16:31validation, or more convinced that
- 16:34massive external events are imminent,
- 16:37notice that.
- 16:39Consume accordingly.
- 16:41Returning to yourself.
- 16:44Here is what I believe, and I offer it
- 16:46gently [music] because I hold it with
- 16:48some humility.
- 16:50The deepest thing that can happen in a
- 16:52period of separation from a connection
- 16:54like this,
- 16:55>> [music]
- 16:55>> the most real, most lasting shift is not
- 16:58the reunion. It's not [music] the
- 17:00reconciliation as meaningful as that can
- 17:02be when it happens organically and
- 17:04genuinely. The deepest [music] thing is
- 17:07the version of you that emerges from
- 17:09having loved this fully, [music]
- 17:11having been this disoriented, having sat
- 17:14inside this much uncertainty,
- 17:16>> [music]
- 17:17>> and having come through it with more
- 17:18self-knowledge than you entered with.
- 17:21That person,
- 17:23the one who learned to stop running from
- 17:25their own interiority, who learned to
- 17:27hold hope without being controlled by
- 17:30it, who learned that peace is something
- 17:33you build in yourself rather than
- 17:34receive from someone else, [music]
- 17:36that person is the point of all of this,
- 17:39not as a lesson to be checked off, as a
- 17:41genuine evolution. The separation may be
- 17:45ending. Something may genuinely be
- 17:47shifting
- 17:49within you, within the connection, in
- 17:52ways that neither of us can precisely
- 17:54name or predict. That's possible, and
- 17:57you don't have to dismiss the
- 17:59possibility in order to also live fully
- 18:02in the present. But, what you prepare
- 18:04[music] for matters, and the best
- 18:06preparation for whatever comes next,
- 18:09reunion or continued distance, clarity
- 18:13or ongoing ambiguity,
- 18:15>> [music]
- 18:15>> is not to scan for signs or hold your
- 18:18breath.
- 18:19It's to become, as fully as you can, the
- 18:22version of yourself that doesn't need
- 18:25the outcome to be a specific [music]
- 18:27thing in order to feel whole. That kind
- 18:30of wholeness is not the end of longing.
- 18:32It doesn't make you indifferent or
- 18:34closed. It makes you capable of genuine
- 18:37[music] love. The kind that doesn't ask
- 18:40the other person to carry your
- 18:42unresolved pieces, [music] the kind that
- 18:45offers something real rather than
- 18:47something desperate. You've been through
- 18:49something that deserves acknowledgement,
- 18:52the confusion, the intensity, the
- 18:54strange non-linear grief of it. That's
- 18:57real. You weren't [music] dramatic. You
- 19:00weren't weak. You were in the presence
- 19:02of something that asked more of you than
- 19:05most experiences do.
- 19:07And you're still here,
- 19:08still asking questions, still trying to
- 19:11understand rather than simply react.
- 19:14That's not a small [music] thing.
- 19:16Whatever is coming, let it find you as
- 19:18yourself, grounded, curious, sad where
- 19:22sadness is honest, hopeful where hope is
- 19:25clear-eyed, present [music] in your
- 19:27actual life on this actual day as the
- 19:30actual person you've been becoming
- 19:32through all of this. That's the
- 19:34preparation that matters. If something
- 19:36in this video sat [music] with you in a
- 19:38way that felt true, I genuinely like to
- 19:41know. [music] Leave a comment. Not just
- 19:44what you're feeling about the
- 19:45connection, but what you're noticing
