  88. 3:19bucks I love you being the moderator and
  89. 3:20taking all the arrows this is
  90. 3:23great never moderating again well it's

  93. 3:29where they they built for the the
  94. 3:30World's Fair or whatever so it's in
  95. 3:33there and it's all empty so we're kind
  96. 3:34of taking that we're building a stage

  106. 3:57congratulate someone really special uh

  108. 4:01been elected
  109. 4:02president so your bravery your Ingenuity
  110. 4:05your
  111. 4:06creativity you led the way and you

  114. 4:11Jason congrats by putting the all-in Pod
  115. 4:14you've inadvertently architected a
  116. 4:16system that's helped return Trump to the
  117. 4:18White House and for that many people are
  118. 4:20praising you today congrats Jason how
  119. 4:23does it feel to have finally accompl
  120. 4:24your dream feels great yeah absolutely
  121. 4:26yeah big shout out to J I did see a
  122. 4:28tweet where somebody somebody gave me a
  123. 4:30lot of credit for moving the Overton
  124. 4:32window in Silicon Valley and they said
  125. 4:34that Jason was indispensable as my foil
  126. 4:37if I didn't have him to dunk on for four
  127. 4:39years with my political takes it
  128. 4:40wouldn't have been nearly as effective
  129. 4:42so thank you for that absolutely not
  130. 4:44yeah my pleasure I'm I am Abit to your
  131. 4:48internal MSM debating partner um we
  132. 4:51needed someone to represent the Legacy
  133. 4:52Media point of view absolutely
  134. 4:55absolutely okay so let's kick it off
  135. 4:56saak you were at maral Lago on election
  136. 4:59night I thought it' just be great if you
  137. 5:01could tell us a little bit about what
  138. 5:02the scene was like how was it and when
  139. 5:04did you guys kind of know that Trump had
  140. 5:07kind of the victory in the bag was it
  141. 5:10pre uh the polls coming in because you
  142. 5:12had poster data early or you know tell
  143. 5:14us a little bit about the experience
  144. 5:15there and when it all kind of came
  145. 5:17together yeah I went over there I guess
  146. 5:19around 7:30 I want to say Eastern Time
  147. 5:22Tucker invited me to come on his show
  148. 5:24Tucker was doing a live stream from the
  149. 5:26library at moral Lago I'd actually never
  150. 5:28been over there before there was also a
  151. 5:30dinner going on in the ballroom which
  152. 5:32was I think primarily for maral Lago
  153. 5:35members and you know there were some
  154. 5:37Senators there members of The Campaign
  155. 5:39and then there was another room set up
  156. 5:41with a bunch of TVs for basically the
  157. 5:43the staff to watch the results come in
  158. 5:47when I first got there people were kind
  159. 5:49of just watching trying to find out the
  160. 5:52early results I would say that the The
  161. 5:54Whispers were positive but people didn't
  162. 5:57fundly know more than the rest of us you
  163. 6:00know everyone's kind of waiting for the
  164. 6:01results to come in I did get a chance to
  165. 6:04take a photo with the president actually
  166. 6:07Elon came in separately around the same
  167. 6:09time and we got a very memorable
  168. 6:11photograph here when I shook the
  169. 6:14president's hand I got to tell you he
  170. 6:15was cool as a cucumber he did not seem
  171. 6:17nervous did he feel confident like he
  172. 6:19had it in the bag yeah I think he was
  173. 6:20confident but I don't think he was
  174. 6:21acting like he had it in the bag or
  175. 6:23anything like that they didn't know yet
  176. 6:24but he was just super super relaxed and
  177. 6:27calm and um taking photos with everyone
  178. 6:29a good you remember the moment when his
  179. 6:31hand touched yours take us to that just
  180. 6:35unpack it a little
  181. 6:36bit give you the shake he gives that
  182. 6:39little shake to exert a little dominance
  183. 6:41did he give you the shake it was just a
  184. 6:43normal handshake but my point is like I
  185. 6:45could detect no nervousness whatsoever
  186. 6:47on his part and look the rest of us were
  187. 6:51we were like nervous we were wondering
  188. 6:53what was whole country was nervous yeah
  189. 6:55yeah and what were you guys doing just
  190. 6:57hanging out having cocktails having
  191. 6:58dinner just everyone was Meandering
  192. 7:00chilling what's the scene what's the
  193. 7:02scene like at Marva Lago there's a
  194. 7:03dinner in the ballroom actually I saw
  195. 7:05Jared there Jared was very nice to me he
  196. 7:07he asked me do you want to sit down at
  197. 7:09the at the dinner and I I could have
  198. 7:10joined him but then I decided to do the
  199. 7:12the live stream with you guys and I
  200. 7:13pulled in Don Jr and we did the live
  201. 7:15stream with with Don
  202. 7:16Jr like I said are you officially a Mara
  203. 7:19Lago member by the way for 500 large oh
  204. 7:22my Lord is that true 500,000 well that's
  205. 7:25what Don junr told us but look there's a
  206. 7:27process to get in I mean I don't I don't
  207. 7:28live in Palm Beach I I think it's the
  208. 7:30Palm Beach Community is members of mar
  209. 7:32Lago yeah so I think that there were you
  210. 7:36know it wasn't a huge group of people at
  211. 7:38maral Lago and really all the supporters
  212. 7:42were convened at the convention center
  213. 7:43in Palm Beach there were thousands of
  214. 7:45people there I think originally they had
  215. 7:47talked about doing a election night
  216. 7:49party at maral Lago but it just got too
  217. 7:50big so they moved it to the convention
  218. 7:52center so I don't know whatever it was
  219. 7:55that I dropped off the live stream with
  220. 7:57you guys I then moved to the convention
  221. 7:58center Got Back back on with new and
  222. 8:02then we were kind of waiting at the
  223. 8:03convention center we were all feeling
  224. 8:05good increasingly so throughout the
  225. 8:07night I would say that when Pennsylvania
  226. 8:09finally got called then I think everyone
  227. 8:11knew that it was in the bag at that
  228. 8:12point and it was just a matter of time
  229. 8:14before the election got called for for
  230. 8:17Trump and then you know at some point
  231. 8:19they kind of hurted us downstairs into
  232. 8:21that large Ballroom where Trump gave his
  233. 8:25victory speech with the rest of the
  234. 8:27campaign staff so the final t it looks
  235. 8:30like is going to be 3112 Electoral
  236. 8:32College votes for president Donald Trump
  237. 8:36versus KLA Harris's
  238. 8:38226 just for context in 2016 Trump won
  239. 8:42with 304 electoral votes and Biden won
  240. 8:45in 20120 with
  241. 8:46306 so it's a pretty sweeping Victory he
  242. 8:49won all the supposed swing States this
  243. 8:52year fairly resoundingly there's there's
  244. 8:54no real super close calls there's some
  245. 8:56close calls but but pretty resounding
  246. 8:58victory chth what happened wow it's a
  247. 9:03it's a really good question I think that
  248. 9:06there's many layers of the
  249. 9:09answer but I think in its most basic
  250. 9:11calculation I think that the bottom fell
  251. 9:14out of the democratic party and if
  252. 9:17you look at
  253. 9:20why there's
  254. 9:22a simple explanation and then there's
  255. 9:25the more nuanced explanation I think the
  256. 9:26simple explanation is like they just
  257. 9:28lost the
  258. 9:30script I think that there was so many
  259. 9:33people that just got really tired of
  260. 9:37being spoken
  261. 9:39at and
  262. 9:42labeled misogynist racist fascist
  263. 9:47transphobe whatever it was and there was
  264. 9:49just these Litany of these judgmental
  265. 9:52labels that would come out instead of
  266. 9:54engaging on the topics at hand so I
  267. 9:57think the Democratic party played this
  268. 9:59game of trying to use
  269. 10:02identities genders
  270. 10:05races as a bid to basically get people
  271. 10:08that they thought should always vote in
  272. 10:10their direction to continue to support
  273. 10:13them and instead what happened was
  274. 10:14people just started to think for
  275. 10:15themselves and say hold on a second I'm
  276. 10:17just a normal person that wants to be
  277. 10:19left alone what matters to me and I
  278. 10:21think what Donald Trump spoke to was a
  279. 10:23desire for folks to have economic
  280. 10:27Prosperity a safe neighbor
  281. 10:30neighborhood a predictable educational
  282. 10:32curriculum where these kids could go to
  283. 10:34school not be indoctrinated and come out
  284. 10:36the other side and just know some useful
  285. 10:38skills so that they could get a good job
  286. 10:39and do better than they did and all
  287. 10:41these basic truths ended up on the
  288. 10:44ballot and so it was a bunch of
  289. 10:46perception versus just a bunch of hard
  290. 10:48realities and I think Trump stayed
  291. 10:51focused and
  292. 10:53ultimately made sure that people
  293. 10:55understood that that's what he was
  294. 10:56focused on and I think the Democrats
  295. 10:59just went to this place of demagoguery
  296. 11:01and labels and I think it was just a
  297. 11:04resounding defeat and David I just want
  298. 11:07you to like just to put a pin in on how
  299. 11:09resounding it
  300. 11:11is in California and New York which I
  301. 11:14would say are the two most prolific
  302. 11:17bastions of elitist liberal
  303. 11:20thinking Democrats won those States in
  304. 11:24some of the narrowest margins they've
  305. 11:26ever
  306. 11:27seen I think in 2020 they won California
  307. 11:31by 29 Points it was barely half is what
  308. 11:34they won by this year in New York it
  309. 11:37shrunk to a 12-point margin so what is
  310. 11:40this telling you it's telling you that
  311. 11:41the Democrats really need to retool and
  312. 11:43get back to First principles it was a
  313. 11:45cataclysmic
  314. 11:49dismissal of wokeism of cancel culture
  315. 11:53of
  316. 11:54judgmentalism it was an ringing
  317. 11:56endorsement of a meritocracy
  318. 11:59of just plain simple common
  319. 12:02sense of talking with people and to
  320. 12:06people being able to tolerate
  321. 12:08disagreements remaining
  322. 12:11friends all of those things were on the
  323. 12:13ballot and it it was just an absolute
  324. 12:15resounding victory for just
  325. 12:17normaly that's what I think we saw we
  326. 12:19saw a return to normaly Jason do you
  327. 12:23think that that message got across more
  328. 12:25clearly in this election than ever
  329. 12:28before as some have claimed because of
  330. 12:31the power of alternative media for
  331. 12:34reaching the audience rather than having
  332. 12:36everything pushed through reporters and
  333. 12:38traditional Legacy Media in this case
  334. 12:41many of the candidates particularly on
  335. 12:43the Republican side went direct to the
  336. 12:45audience through long form podcasts like
  337. 12:47ours but also Joe Rogan and Lex and many
  338. 12:50others and did that move the needle for
  339. 12:52a lot of people in a way that won this
  340. 12:54or was it the policies and the
  341. 12:55difference alone yeah I well clearly
  342. 12:59being on podcast was a major part of
  343. 13:01Trump's strategy that people are
  344. 13:03starting to report on right now and you
  345. 13:05know in media you go where the audience
  346. 13:07is and I think the Democrats just didn't
  347. 13:09get that now stepping back I think the
  348. 13:12number one problem here is the candidate
  349. 13:15that the Democrats put up and probably
  350. 13:18the close number two is inflation and
  351. 13:22you know the economy as you know we all
  352. 13:25know it's the economy stupid if you were
  353. 13:27paying $2 for a cheeseburger at
  354. 13:30McDonald's and now it's $4 that's what
  355. 13:33people are going to remember and the
  356. 13:35inflation that occurred over this last
  357. 13:37four years was huge and people cited
  358. 13:41that over and over and over again so
  359. 13:43there's probably three buckets you could
  360. 13:45put this conversation into there's the
  361. 13:47candidate KLA Harris was a terrible
  362. 13:49candidate she was put in at the last
  363. 13:51minute and she was annointed and she
  364. 13:53didn't go through a proper primary I
  365. 13:55think that's probably number one in this
  366. 13:58entire thing it was a terrible candidate
  367. 14:00you're saying you're saying number one
  368. 14:01is the candidate I number one's the
  369. 14:03candidate uh number two I think because
  370. 14:05remember Trump was incredibly unpopular
  371. 14:07as well and all credit to Trump for
  372. 14:09winning and running an incredible
  373. 14:11campaign I mean just they they crushed
  374. 14:13it on podcast with JD Vance turned out
  375. 14:17to be spectacular on podcasts and really
  376. 14:19delivered the
  377. 14:21message and um you know then number two
  378. 14:23is obviously inflation in the economy
  379. 14:26and then I think number three is the
  380. 14:27bucket that shamat started with which is
  381. 14:30the country really really does not like
  382. 14:33being told that they're racist or sexist
  383. 14:37Etc cancel culture and you put those
  384. 14:39three things
  385. 14:41together one of the things that's coming
  386. 14:43out right now is some of the ads and
  387. 14:45we'll play an ad here I wanted you guys
  388. 14:47to see this I think this ad sums up
  389. 14:49exactly how bad kamla
  390. 14:51was and we'll combine this ad with just
  391. 14:55some of the statistics that have come
  392. 14:56out of how many people have gone right
  393. 14:58this is Charlemagne the God from The
  394. 15:00Breakfast Club for those who don't know
  395. 15:02in a Donald Trump ad taxpayer funded sex
  396. 15:06changes for prison
  397. 15:08surgery um for prisoners for prisoners
  398. 15:10every
  399. 15:12transgender inmate in the prison system
  400. 15:15would have access hell no I don't want
  401. 15:16my taxpayer dollars going to that comma
  402. 15:18supports transgender sex changes in jail
  403. 15:20with our money comma even supports
  404. 15:22letting biological men compete against
  405. 15:25our girls in their Sports Kamala is for
  406. 15:28they them
  407. 15:29president Trump is for you I'm Donald J
  408. 15:32Trump and I approve this message and so
  409. 15:34how does kamla come back from this with
  410. 15:36black voters with male voters with
  411. 15:39people who are tired of having this
  412. 15:41agenda shoved down their throat
  413. 15:43obviously it's going to be incredibly
  414. 15:45difficult plus she was in charge of the
  415. 15:46Border claimed she wasn't plus she was
  416. 15:49in charge of uh you know and Biden were
  417. 15:52in charge of the economy when inflation
  418. 15:54spiked terrible candidate combined with
  419. 15:56a bad track record combined with a
  420. 15:58flawless campaign from Trump I think
  421. 16:00easy Victory and you know if we pull up
  422. 16:04this uh ft chart Nick that I sent you
  423. 16:07ahead of time and I tweeted this you
  424. 16:10know Americans Love winners and
  425. 16:12Innovation and they hate socialism and
  426. 16:13this woke nonsense and if you look at
  427. 16:16how Trump's support increased look at
  428. 16:18this chamat every single demographic
  429. 16:21black Asian Hispanic 18 to 29 30 to 34
  430. 16:26fale white college men except for two 6
  431. 16:295year old plus very moderately very
  432. 16:32modestly went left and white college
  433. 16:35women very modestly went left in terms
  434. 16:38of increasing support otherwise a hard
  435. 16:40shift right including some categories so
  436. 16:43so so the biggest the biggest shift
  437. 16:45right was in Hispanic and Asian
  438. 16:47population right and these are groups of
  439. 16:49people I think who you you can you can
  440. 16:52double click on young people Hispanic
  441. 16:54and Asians Asians believe in meritocracy
  442. 16:57I think is what most people have read
  443. 16:59into that dramatic swing and Hispanics
  444. 17:02are anti or more traditional family
  445. 17:05values and that's probably what pushed
  446. 17:06that so far right but I wanted to just
  447. 17:08get your take on that chart chamama in
  448. 17:11relation to your handicapping of the
  449. 17:13election and then how much comma and how
  450. 17:16much the inflation played into it I
  451. 17:18think that there are three ways to kind
  452. 17:21of identify and tell me if you guys
  453. 17:23think these are the wrong vectors
  454. 17:24there's either the
  455. 17:26policies the candidate
  456. 17:28and the methods of the campaign all of
  457. 17:31it it's all three right that's how I
  458. 17:33kind of break down what happened in this
  459. 17:35election cycle there's a a big
  460. 17:37difference between the candidates as
  461. 17:39people some people cannot see past the
  462. 17:42fact that comma did not get any primary
  463. 17:44vote some people cannot see past yep the
  464. 17:47behavior of Donald Trump on Twitter and
  465. 17:49when he talks to people and how he has
  466. 17:51talked to people and perceived to be a
  467. 17:53bully and the felony conviction and some
  468. 17:56people cannot get past other factors of
  469. 17:57those two candidates and then some
  470. 17:59people can get past it I've been saying
  471. 18:00this since I'm blew in the face but I'll
  472. 18:03try it
  473. 18:05again I think that the mainstream media
  474. 18:09has been working hand inhand with the
  475. 18:11Democratic party to propagate and move
  476. 18:14forward an agenda that tried to vilify
  477. 18:17Donald
  478. 18:18Trump I did not know that when I
  479. 18:22initially encountered him in 2015 as a
  480. 18:24candidate but what you're supposed to do
  481. 18:28as an adult is once you start to see a
  482. 18:31pattern of behavior you know this is for
  483. 18:34the safety security of your family this
  484. 18:36is about how you think about
  485. 18:38economically taking care of your family
  486. 18:40like you have to
  487. 18:41reerrr you must be prepared to change
  488. 18:44your mind when you see important
  489. 18:47information and I have said this till I
  490. 18:49blew in the face but I'll say it again
  491. 18:52if I think of all of the
  492. 18:54people in the political infrastructure
  493. 18:57of America that I have met
  494. 18:59and spent time with from Bill Clinton on
  495. 19:02I remember sitting and having dinner
  496. 19:04with Barack Obama the day of
  497. 19:06brexit and getting a note that he read
  498. 19:09and he said oh my gosh and says wow the
  499. 19:12UK just pulled out I was sitting across
  500. 19:14from him that dinner I've been with all
  501. 19:16of these
  502. 19:18people the Democrats only come to me to
  503. 19:22ask me for
  504. 19:23money the only
  505. 19:26politician that has ever called me
  506. 19:29just to have a
  507. 19:31conversation just to say thank you and
  508. 19:33be kind the only one has been Donald
  509. 19:36Trump isn't that incredible of all of
  510. 19:39the people every other person has only
  511. 19:41ever called and asked me for
  512. 19:44money so what does that mean I think
  513. 19:46what it means is that there has been a
  514. 19:49concerted
  515. 19:50effort to perturb the
  516. 19:53way that you interpret who he
  517. 19:57is separately there's been a concerted
  518. 20:00effort to prop up whoever is sitting
  519. 20:03against him in
  520. 20:05opposition and I think this is an
  521. 20:07opportunity to finally acknowledge that
  522. 20:10if you trust these traditional Legacy
  523. 20:12sources of helping you to get to a
  524. 20:16decision you're going to get tricked
  525. 20:18there's that old saying you know fool me
  526. 20:20once shame on you but fool me twice
  527. 20:24shame on me because I am now allowing
  528. 20:27this to happen
  529. 20:29and I think that for a lot of Americans
  530. 20:31that is what happened I think it is
  531. 20:33really as simple as that I think they
  532. 20:35were able to see through the
  533. 20:37veneer of an
  534. 20:39attempt to malign and Corner somebody
  535. 20:44and on the other side an
  536. 20:46attempt to basically play on Vibes and
  537. 20:49feelings and emotions and I don't think
  538. 20:52that America wants that that is not what
  539. 20:55they want in running the country they
  540. 20:56want somebody serious running the
  541. 20:58country where you can have disagreements
  542. 21:00with them and you can still find an
  543. 21:02opportunity to work together with those
  544. 21:04people I think it's that sex do you do
  545. 21:08you think about how important the policy
  546. 21:12versus the
  547. 21:13individual versus the way they ran the
  548. 21:16campaign the media and how they reached
  549. 21:18people as as kind of three vectors and
  550. 21:21if so how would you kind of rank those
  551. 21:22three in importance and what changed
  552. 21:24people's votes and got them to vote
  553. 21:25differently than they did in the last
  554. 21:27election yeah I think it's a pretty good
  555. 21:28framework I mean you have the message
  556. 21:30you have the messenger and I guess you
  557. 21:32have the the campaign at a tactical
  558. 21:34level I think it's a little bit unfair
  559. 21:37to blame this entire defeat on KLA
  560. 21:39Harris being a bad messenger or
  561. 21:42candidate it's true she's not the
  562. 21:44greatest candidate she has a lot of
  563. 21:46problems however I don't think she was
  564. 21:48dealt particularly strong hand the fact
  565. 21:51the matter is that we did have rampant
  566. 21:55inflation in this country that really
  567. 21:57hurt people in their pocketbooks every
  568. 21:59time they went to the grocery store and
  569. 22:01that resulted from the trillions of
  570. 22:03spending that was agreed to by virtually
  571. 22:05the entire Democratic party remember
  572. 22:08they not only did they pass trillions in
  573. 22:10spending they wanted four and a half
  574. 22:11trillion more for build back better and
  575. 22:13the only reason that didn't happen is
  576. 22:15because mansion and Cinema voted against
  577. 22:17it and can you imagine how much worse
  578. 22:20how much worse would have been Mansion
  579. 22:22was driven into retirement and Cinema
  580. 22:24was basically kicked out of the party
  581. 22:25she effectively told us that at the
  582. 22:26all-in summit so this defeat is on the
  583. 22:29entire Democratic party the Democratic
  584. 22:32party was in support of Joe Biden and
  585. 22:34KLA Harris's agenda they were in support
  586. 22:36of the de facto open border policies
  587. 22:39they were in support of the softon crime
  588. 22:41Soros da decarceral policies you can see
  589. 22:45that even in California which is a deep
  590. 22:47blue State there's a huge backlash huge
  591. 22:50this sort of insane soft on crime agenda
  592. 22:54the Democrats have 70% of California
  593. 22:57voted for prop 36
  594. 22:59which basically reversed the excesses of
  595. 23:01Prop 47 which a decade ago basically
  596. 23:04made shoplifting legal in California you
  597. 23:07know who opposed prop 36 despite its
  598. 23:09massive popularity Gavin Nome KLA Harris
  599. 23:12wouldn't say whether she supported it or
  600. 23:14not so what you see is that even in blue
  601. 23:16States the Democratic party Elites are
  602. 23:19completely out of touch with what people
  603. 23:21want and then finally you've got foreign
  604. 23:23policy where I think that the the
  605. 23:26Democratic agenda basically one to
  606. 23:28engage in a proxy war with Vladimir
  607. 23:30Putin because he's the Incarnation of
  608. 23:32all evil that I think is blown up in the
  609. 23:35collective West face that has been a
  610. 23:37disaster that was supported by the
  611. 23:39entire Democratic party so on issue
  612. 23:42after issue that I think mattered in
  613. 23:43this election you cannot just put the
  614. 23:46blame on KLA Harris it's got to be on
  615. 23:48the Democratic party as a whole and just
  616. 23:50to Echo what Chamas said about the
  617. 23:53cultural stuff they've talked down to us
  618. 23:55they've lectured us they've insulted us
  619. 23:58they've censored us they've gaslit us
  620. 24:01they've tried to cancel us they've tried
  621. 24:02to cancel us they tried to punish
  622. 24:03descent with Warfare they turned Elon
  623. 24:06into an enemy which was the single worst
  624. 24:08own goal in history remember this wasn't
  625. 24:11just and Joe Rogan don't
  626. 24:13forget out as well Bernie supported Joe
  627. 24:16Rogan but with Elon it wasn't just
  628. 24:18disinviting him we never inviting him to
  629. 24:19the EV Summit it goes all the way back
  630. 24:22to Lena Gonzalez's tweet telling him to
  631. 24:24F off and leave the state of California
  632. 24:27so look the Democrat party as a whole
  633. 24:29has to own this and they're not going to
  634. 24:32start winning elections again until they
  635. 24:34have an improvement in their agenda not
  636. 24:37just their messenger so saak is this the
  637. 24:39nature of democracy that over time when
  638. 24:44you have a two-party system and one
  639. 24:46party veers too far to the left or one
  640. 24:48party veers too far to the right people
  641. 24:51jump ship to the other party and
  642. 24:53ultimately they pull the policies of the
  643. 24:55party that they left back to the middle
  644. 24:57and that's the way democracy is supposed
  645. 24:59to work and has worked historically so
  646. 25:01is this the way it's supposed to go and
  647. 25:03do we project that four years from now
  648. 25:06the Democrats will need to be and need
  649. 25:07to adjust to the center and will'll see
  650. 25:10less of this extremism because of the
  651. 25:12way the voting turned out this this I
  652. 25:15think that's a very interesting question
  653. 25:17is whether the Democrats have the
  654. 25:19necessary introspection to learn from
  655. 25:21this loss I would say that one of them
  656. 25:24does if you look at Mat glacius who's
  657. 25:25someone I've sparred with on on Twitter
  658. 25:28X who is a Democrat partisan he
  659. 25:30basically tweeted a list of principles
  660. 25:33that he thought the Democratic party
  661. 25:34needed to adopt I read it and retweeted
  662. 25:36I said laughing my ass off this is a
  663. 25:38list of Republican principles it was all
  664. 25:40about you know opposing woke and being
  665. 25:42in favor of Merit and Innovation
  666. 25:44tolerance I'm like great look you know
  667. 25:46what if the Democratic party wants to
  668. 25:47adopt these principles that's a
  669. 25:49wonderful thing for the country I hope
  670. 25:51that they do it okay but will they do it
  671. 25:54I have my doubts you look at this tweet
  672. 25:57by Ari f
  673. 25:58where he talks about who the Democratic
  674. 26:00party now is yeah I think that this is a
  675. 26:03really important tweet because it sort
  676. 26:04of tells you Sak who's going to be left
  677. 26:06in the
  678. 26:07room if these are the only people left
  679. 26:10in the room the last thing they're going
  680. 26:11to do is admit defeat right exactly so
  681. 26:13what you see is that the Democratic
  682. 26:16party base is these very affluent very
  683. 26:20overeducated very non-religious types
  684. 26:23and frankly I wonder whether they're too
  685. 26:25out of touch to know they're out of
  686. 26:26touch they're certainly very whiny and
  687. 26:28entitled and I just don't think they're
  688. 26:31going to
  689. 26:32seed control of the party without a
  690. 26:34fight and frankly they've disappeared so
  691. 26:37far up their own woke asses that I don't
  692. 26:40think they can find an electoral
  693. 26:42majority if they try so if these people
  694. 26:44stay in control of the party and these
  695. 26:47are the people who you're seeing having
  696. 26:48a mental breakdown on Tik Tok they're
  697. 26:50posting all the videos they're insulting
  698. 26:52the electorate and let's face it it's
  699. 26:54not just on Tik Tok it's on the Legacy
  700. 26:56Media it's on msdnc
  701. 26:58it's basically the the Legacy Media who
  702. 27:00are trying to diagnose a psychosis in
  703. 27:04the American electorate to explain why
  704. 27:06they were so wrong if those people stay
  705. 27:08in control I think that the Republicans
  706. 27:11could have an electoral majority as far
  707. 27:12as the eye can see I completely agree
  708. 27:15with you and I'll go even further which
  709. 27:16is I think that the Democrats will lose
  710. 27:19one of California or New York in the
  711. 27:22next eight years if they don't attack
  712. 27:24right that so that's the key question
  713. 27:26they're not going to attack if you think
  714. 27:27that the intelligent Genia quote unquote
  715. 27:30the Bill Gates readed Hoffman of the
  716. 27:33world that funds Dustin moskovitz that
  717. 27:35funds the Democratic apparatus at the
  718. 27:38highest
  719. 27:39level if they can't change what are the
  720. 27:43odds that the state infrastructure or
  721. 27:46the local infrastructure changes I think
  722. 27:48maybe on the margins the local
  723. 27:50infrastructure can change more quickly
  724. 27:53and adeptly because it just costs a lot
  725. 27:55less money and it's much more
  726. 27:56concentrated
  727. 27:58but I think the states are very lagered
  728. 28:00in that sense and I think that they take
  729. 28:02the table scraps of what's left over so
  730. 28:04if if you have the Democrats lead there
  731. 28:07is no chance that if unless they change
  732. 28:09the planks of their platform that the
  733. 28:12state legislatures in New York and
  734. 28:13California are going to change what they
  735. 28:14believe Nick pull up the the link I just
  736. 28:17sent so let me just underscore an
  737. 28:19important aspect for you guys on this
  738. 28:20which is the amount that the Democrats
  739. 28:22spent in this campaign and obviously
  740. 28:24they saw a significant negative return
  741. 28:26they lost across the board Senate
  742. 28:28majority House Majority governorships
  743. 28:31the White House but they spent more here
  744. 28:33you can see the difference between the
  745. 28:35Harris campaign and the Trump campaign
  746. 28:37spending Harris campaign spent nearly
  747. 28:39$900 million the Trump campaign 350
  748. 28:42million if you look at the super pcts
  749. 28:45the super PCT spent 1.4 billion on the
  750. 28:47Dem side roughly 400 million 450 million
  751. 28:51on the Republican side and if you scroll
  752. 28:53down in some of these key Senate races
  753. 28:56the Dems far out spent the Republicans
  754. 28:58and still lost the Ohio Senate race
  755. 29:00shared Brown $58 million of spending
  756. 29:03Bernie Moreno 21 million and Bernie
  757. 29:05Moreno had a resounding Victory John
  758. 29:07tester 84 million is spending Tim shei
  759. 29:0922 million T Tim shei won the uh the
  760. 29:12election so across the board the
  761. 29:15spending was greater the return was
  762. 29:18negative because money cannot overcome
  763. 29:20common sense so my question again is
  764. 29:23does this not necessitate attack to the
  765. 29:26center for the Democrats they want to
  766. 29:28see the party survive and if they're
  767. 29:30going to continue to lose like this they
  768. 29:32will not continue to maintain the same
  769. 29:33policy agenda that got them into this
  770. 29:35position in the first place jcal do you
  771. 29:38think that the Democratic party will
  772. 29:39need to tack to the center and that
  773. 29:41they're going to start to adjust because
  774. 29:42of this they they started that process
  775. 29:44they knew that going into this election
  776. 29:46and they started moving to the center it
  777. 29:48was laughable in some cases because you
  778. 29:50have like kamla talking about providing
  779. 29:53sex changes for prisoners and you know
  780. 29:56all of those receipts came out out so
  781. 29:58even as she started to try to get to the
  782. 30:00center people didn't buy it so of course
  783. 30:02they're going to but what's very
  784. 30:04interesting about spend there and the
  785. 30:06genius of trump is earned media what's
  786. 30:08earned media when you are trying to get
  787. 30:11hits in media you will put them into two
  788. 30:13buckets paid and earned what you just
  789. 30:16showed was paid paid is considered what
  790. 30:18you do if you can't earn media Allin
  791. 30:21podcast is an example of earned media we
  792. 30:24do this every week we earned our
  793. 30:26audience we didn't pay anybody for this
  794. 30:28audience and I think that was you know
  795. 30:30what Trump did uh and JD importantly
  796. 30:33someone someone that comes on the show
  797. 30:34earns that uh correct so that's the
  798. 30:37piece of this that I think is so
  799. 30:38important you don't have to pay to go on
  800. 30:40Joe Rogan but the candidate that the
  801. 30:43Democrats put out there was so bad that
  802. 30:47she could not even and I think Sax's you
  803. 30:50know Master at setting people up here
  804. 30:54the the Democrats put up a horrible
  805. 30:56horrible candidate and I know sax is
  806. 30:58saying oh it's not kala's fault kala
  807. 31:01could not go on Joe Rogan because they
  808. 31:04knew that it would be so embarrassing
  809. 31:06and that she would get so embarrassed
  810. 31:07that it would lose her votes his Doom
  811. 31:10Loop uh you know observation from I
  812. 31:13don't know eight weeks ago you had that
  813. 31:15sax was exactly correct the more she
  814. 31:18spoke the more she started going down
  815. 31:20she was leading Trump at one point on
  816. 31:22poly Market in some of these places and
  817. 31:25she absolutely proved that she could
  818. 31:27would not communicate well and so and I
  819. 31:31just want to just circle back to the
  820. 31:33point about inflation here's the
  821. 31:36McDonald price increases that I was
  822. 31:37mentioning before end of 2019 you could
  823. 31:40buy a McChicken for a buck 29 and in mid
  824. 31:422024 it was
  825. 31:44$389 the majority of Americans wind up
  826. 31:48going to Taco Bell McDonald's every week
  827. 31:51some cases multiple times a week you
  828. 31:53cannot discount exactly how profound
  829. 31:58this cost of eating food and buying
  830. 32:01groceries had on this election it is the
  831. 32:04number one issue I think this election
  832. 32:06we can talk in our bubble about it but
  833. 32:09about inflation this is what I mean by a
  834. 32:11return to normaly these are normal
  835. 32:13people problems how much does it cost to
  836. 32:16put food on the table how much does it
  837. 32:18cost to drive from point A to point B I
  838. 32:20want to send my kid to a school where
  839. 32:22they go and they learn the ABCs and the
  840. 32:24one 123s because they're going to have
  841. 32:26to graduate and compete with India and
  842. 32:28China I don't want to worry about
  843. 32:30indoctrination and all this other stuff
  844. 32:32absolutely yeah so look I I did predict
  845. 32:34the Doom Loop for Comm Harris two months
  846. 32:36ago because she is just not good at
  847. 32:38interviews or being off the cuff or
  848. 32:40being unscripted not good is generous
  849. 32:43yeah s sxra Damas was right about that
  850. 32:45absolutely however and I would say the
  851. 32:47biggest problem in her campaign is that
  852. 32:49she would neither defend the Biden
  853. 32:52Harris record nor say what she would do
  854. 32:54differently the question you have to ask
  855. 32:56is why and I think it's because she was
  856. 32:59in a really tough position that her own
  857. 33:02party put her in which is they said you
  858. 33:04can't criticize Joe Biden yep because
  859. 33:06he's the sitting president but at the
  860. 33:08same time you can't defend him either
  861. 33:12because he's so unpopular well what made
  862. 33:14him unpopular Democratic party policies
  863. 33:17they should have frankly looking back
  864. 33:19they should have just let Joe Biden
  865. 33:21defend his own record the old man must
  866. 33:24have been in the White House nashing his
  867. 33:26teeth saying please put me in the game
  868. 33:29let me defend my own record he at least
  869. 33:31believed in it the Democrats wouldn't
  870. 33:33defend their own record because it was
  871. 33:35so bad you have to put some blame for
  872. 33:37that not just on KLA but on the entire
  873. 33:40party that's my only Point sax it's so
  874. 33:42obvious that the technique they used to
  875. 33:45defeat Trump in 2020 after those chaotic
  876. 33:47four years was hey do you want normaly
  877. 33:51and thenni is that 15 million votes what
  878. 33:54wait what's
  879. 33:55that I I didn't hear the the joke I said
  880. 33:58what what tactic was that 15 million
  881. 34:01extra oh you're please don't start with
  882. 34:03the conspiracy theories
  883. 34:05well going to say this has to be a
  884. 34:08conspiracy theory
  885. 34:11nowy right who's the chart from what's
  886. 34:14the Providence of the chart just just so
  887. 34:16you know the Y AIS starts at 50 million
  888. 34:18so don't be you know like a little too
  889. 34:20crazy like they they mailed hold on we
  890. 34:22go down this rabit let me just finish my
  891. 34:24point then you guys can go to conspiracy
  892. 34:25corner and say the election was stolen
  893. 34:27the point I'm making here is obviously
  894. 34:30Biden ran a very successful campaign
  895. 34:32against Trump based on Vibes and based
  896. 34:34on his creating chaos in the country in
  897. 34:37most people's mind and this return to
  898. 34:39normaly so that did work for them
  899. 34:41previously it just didn't work this time
  900. 34:44because they had to defend their record
  901. 34:46on the border they needed to defend
  902. 34:47their record on the economy and saxs is
  903. 34:49exactly right they didn't touch that and
  904. 34:52how do you not talk about their own
  905. 34:55record and their record had some good
  906. 34:57bright response to it record low
  907. 34:59employment record high stock market and
  908. 35:02we tamed inflation and they could have
  909. 35:04had a really great discussion about
  910. 35:05inflation and just said Hey listen both
  911. 35:08of the last two terms there was a lot of
  912. 35:10spending and so inflation manifested
  913. 35:12during the last four years and uh hey we
  914. 35:14tamed it so here we are we still have
  915. 35:16record low unemployment we still have a
  916. 35:19record high stock market and we tamed
  917. 35:21inflation things are going to get better
  918. 35:23but she couldn't even communicate that I
  919. 35:24can communicate that better than the
  920. 35:26presidential candidate
  921. 35:28come on she could have easily done that
  922. 35:30free let me just go back to your point
  923. 35:31about the money it is true that the
  924. 35:32Democrats had roughly three times as
  925. 35:35much money as the Republicans did the
  926. 35:38Democrats had something like a billion
  927. 35:39dollars for this campaign the
  928. 35:41Republicans had presal campaign for the
  929. 35:43presidential campaign exactly the
  930. 35:45Republicans obviously still won in a
  931. 35:47landslide I'm sorry that excludes that
  932. 35:49excludes the super pcts which had
  933. 35:50additional funding that were going
  934. 35:51towards supporting the nominee as fair
  935. 35:53enough my point is just the Democrats
  936. 35:54had a massive advantage on the money
  937. 35:56side they also I think think had a
  938. 35:58massive advantage on what you would call
  939. 36:01the Legacy Media side I mean I don't
  940. 36:04know how you put a value a dollar value
  941. 36:06on what the Legacy Media has done not
  942. 36:08just in this election cycle but for the
  943. 36:10last eight or nine years they have
  944. 36:13basically call Donald Trump a Nazi a
  945. 36:16fascist a traitor a did it work or did
  946. 36:19it their to get to that blew up in their
  947. 36:23faces they called him an agent of Putin
  948. 36:25they called him an insurrectionist they
  949. 36:26called him a convicted fellow they
  950. 36:27called him a dictator they've been
  951. 36:29yelling that at the top of their lungs
  952. 36:31now for at least four years the country
  953. 36:34didn't believe it I would just say that
  954. 36:36the Legacy Media spell is broken their
  955. 36:38credibility has been destroyed and I
  956. 36:41think that the repudiation of the Legacy
  957. 36:44Media is one of the most important
  958. 36:47results of this election it just shows
  959. 36:49that the Democrats had I don't know how
  960. 36:51you valued a trillion dollar propaganda
  961. 36:53machine on their side and Trump was
  962. 36:56still able to win and you have to at the
  963. 36:58end of the day say that that's a result
  964. 37:01not just of alternative media gaining
  965. 37:03Steam and free speech on X I think those
  966. 37:06were absolutely necessary enablers it's
  967. 37:08also the fact that Trump has a trillion
  968. 37:11dollar personality and is a tremendously
  969. 37:13gifted communicator and politician in
  970. 37:15his own unique way but then but finally
  971. 37:17you have to say that the issues are on
  972. 37:20Trump's side Americans want the border
  973. 37:23to be sealed they see that the spending
  974. 37:25and the bureaucracy in Washington are
  975. 37:27out of control they do not want woke
  976. 37:29cancel culture anymore they see America
  977. 37:33getting over involved in Foreign Wars
  978. 37:35they want the spending to be brought
  979. 37:36back home where it benefits them these
  980. 37:40are the key points of the Trump agenda
  981. 37:42and at the end of the day whatever you
  982. 37:44want to say about Trump he ran a
  983. 37:47campaign based on issues he talked about
  984. 37:50issues what did comma Harris run her
  985. 37:52campaign on Vibes celebrity endorsements
  986. 37:56name time debunked hoaxes I just want to
  987. 38:00go around the horn real quick and ask
  988. 38:02each of you guys once again I'm going to
  989. 38:03ask you one more question after this
  990. 38:05What mattered most was it the policy
  991. 38:07sacks as you're proclaiming is what a
  992. 38:08lot of people voted on was it the issues
  993. 38:10with the candidate the individual or was
  994. 38:12it the media or the the campaign tactics
  995. 38:14are those three what What mattered most
  996. 38:16you think in terms of moving votes what
  997. 38:17moved the most V list I don't think you
  998. 38:18can separate the man from the message or
  999. 38:20the messenger from the message okay
  1000. 38:22listen if you had a conventional
  1001. 38:25Republican out there don't think that
1002. 38:28they could have overcome the trillion
1003. 38:30dollar propaganda machine in Hand of the
1004. 38:33Legacy Media that being said I think if
1005. 38:36Donald Trump had been campaigning with
  1006. 38:39Mitt Romney's message or Mitch
  1007. 38:41McConnell's message I don't think he
  1008. 38:43would have gone anywhere I don't even
1009. 38:44think he would have been the Republican
1010. 38:45nominee you have to say that Trump since
1011. 38:492016 has tapped into something very deep
1012. 38:52in the American electorate and you know
1013. 38:55this is something we can get into but I
1014. 38:56think that if you look back now over the
  1015. 38:58last 10 years is clear that he's the
  1016. 39:00transformational figure in American
1017. 39:02politics it's not Barack Obama with all
  1018. 39:04due respect j k your turn the policies
1019. 39:08yeah the individual or the campaign
1020. 39:10tactics it's very clearly this had to do
1021. 39:13you know primarily with kamla it is the
1022. 39:16candidate and how she was selected yeah
  1023. 39:19I mean obviously if you had it's it's
1024. 39:22interesting for you to say that as a Dem
1025. 39:23right because I think that may have
  1026. 39:24chased a lot of people moderate I'm not
  1027. 39:25a
1028. 39:27voted Republican one third of the time
1029. 39:29maybe even a little bit more recently
1030. 39:31but two two3 you voted them so you were
  1031. 39:33open to that and I'm leaning moderate I
1032. 39:35mean I've been very clear about that my
1033. 39:37record's been very clear about that it
1034. 39:38is clear that it was her because I will
1035. 39:40say if you had put up fredberg and I
  1036. 39:43think it's great that you're forcing us
1037. 39:44to pick one of the
1038. 39:45three and it's a hard thing to do but if
1039. 39:48you had picked Dean Phillips and Shapiro
1040. 39:50I think they would have beat Trump very
1041. 39:52easily or because remember Trump was
  1042. 39:54phenomenally unpopular and I think the
1043. 39:56big question that's to come out of this
1044. 39:58is how did Elon do getting young men and
1045. 40:02how did Joe Rogan and podcasts like ours
1046. 40:04do at getting young men to come out and
  1047. 40:06vote that's something we haven't talked
1048. 40:07about yet and I feel like that could be
1049. 40:09the one thing that comes out of this
1050. 40:11election over the coming years that we
  1051. 40:14look at that'll be the sustainable
1052. 40:16change is that young men are now voting
1053. 40:20and they want to vote for something very
1054. 40:22different than white women or old people
1055. 40:25and chamat what is your on What mattered
1056. 40:28most do you have one of those three how
1057. 40:30would you wait you to R I think the
1058. 40:33policies of the democratic party are
  1059. 40:36fundamentally
  1060. 40:37broken they've become the exact opposite
1061. 40:40of where they were even 20 years ago so
1062. 40:42the Democrats used to be the protector
  1063. 40:45of free
1064. 40:46speech now they are pro censorship the
1065. 40:50Republicans are free speech the
1066. 40:52Democrats used to be all about anti-war
1067. 40:55now they are more like
1068. 40:58to get mangled into all of these foreign
1069. 41:00Misadventures in partnership with the
1070. 41:02military industrial complex whereas the
1071. 41:04Republicans have been a bull workk to
1072. 41:06war and they embraced the chaines
1073. 41:08ultimate proof of that oh my gosh I mean
1074. 41:10that was the scariest and oddest turn of
1075. 41:12events so I think that what happened is
1076. 41:15the policies they just lost their way
1077. 41:17now the question is was it purposeful or
1078. 41:20was it by accident and I think that
1079. 41:24belies the bigger question which is just
1080. 41:26the people in charge of the democratic
  1081. 41:28party I think to Sak's
1082. 41:31point do they even have a sense of that
1083. 41:33they have to change or are they just so
1084. 41:35now fundamentally out of touch and they
1085. 41:38just believe what they believe so
1086. 41:39ferociously they're going to have to go
1087. 41:41through maybe three or four or five more
1088. 41:43elections of just getting totally
1089. 41:45trounced in order to learn the lesson
  1090. 41:46okay I'll I'll um I'll wear my mlin hat
1091. 41:49and say chof right answer now my next my
1092. 41:53next question back to you chath is
1093. 41:57I've had a lot of conversations in the
1094. 41:58last few days um with good friends with
1095. 42:02people I'm close with with family and so
1096. 42:03on hold on freeberg what do you think
1097. 42:05before you ask the next question I think
1098. 42:07policy matter but but here's the the the
1099. 42:09stumbling block if you talk to anyone
1100. 42:12that did not vote that that did not vote
1101. 42:14for Trump and voted for kamla Harris
1102. 42:16that is you know kind
1103. 42:18of reasonable people or what you know I
1104. 42:21I don't want to kind of classify people
1105. 42:24but people that you would normally have
1106. 42:25decent long form conversations with and
1107. 42:28you start talking specific policy issues
1108. 42:30with them the convers keeps coming back
1109. 42:33to Trump the person in my experience
  1110. 42:36people can't see past a person who is a
1111. 42:38quote convicted felon as they claim who
  1112. 42:40is taking away women's rights who is a
1113. 42:42bully who is mean a lot of this is
1114. 42:44influenced by his past behavior and
1115. 42:46things he said and the way he's said
1116. 42:48things and done things on Twitter we can
1117. 42:50we can Proclaim that there was a lot of
1118. 42:51misrepresentation about Trump in the in
1119. 42:53the Legacy Media but there were a lot of
1120. 42:55tweets that Trump put out that we
1121. 42:57offputting to a lot of people so I want
1122. 42:59you chamat to speak to the many
1123. 43:02individuals out there who are good
1124. 43:04people who feel disenfranchised who are
1125. 43:07not like the the funny people you can
1126. 43:08make fun of on Libs of Tik Tok or what
1127. 43:10have you but just everyday normal people
  1128. 43:12that said I really don't trust the guy I
  1129. 43:14really don't believe that this is a good
1130. 43:16person and I think that the policies
1131. 43:19make more sense I agree with a lot of
1132. 43:21the policy issues but frankly the guy
1133. 43:23doesn't seem like the right guy for me
1134. 43:25how do you kind of break through is that
1135. 43:26possible and can you speak to that
1136. 43:28person to help them kind of see past the
1137. 43:31individual to the policies and have
1138. 43:33trust and faith that this individual can
  1139. 43:35actually Shepherd this nation
1140. 43:37forward there are so many very powerful
  1141. 43:41examples of how the
  1142. 43:43media
  1143. 43:45colluded with the Democratic
1144. 43:49party to fundamentally lie about things
1145. 43:54that actually happened when it relates
  1146. 43:56to Donald Trump
1147. 43:58one of the most simple and
1148. 44:01Powerful was the lie about
  1149. 44:03Charlottesville when I process
  1150. 44:06Charlottesville I'm probably one of
1151. 44:08those people David that you talk about I
1152. 44:11was just so scared and angry and I took
  1153. 44:17at face
1154. 44:18value what the media said that Donald
  1155. 44:21Trump
1156. 44:22said and then I was really angry at
1157. 44:26Donald Trump until I saw the footage and
1158. 44:30saw that it was just an complete
1159. 44:33lie and that is just an incredible
1160. 44:36shirking of responsibility that the
  1161. 44:38media has undertaken the
  1162. 44:40deviousness the
  1163. 44:42dishonesty it's really bad and that's
  1164. 44:46where I said I have to stop as a grownup
1165. 44:50rational man as the head of my family I
1166. 44:54need to reer where I'm coming from well
1167. 44:58head of my family with Nat when she lets
  1168. 44:59me be but
  1169. 45:02anyway feel I can feel
1170. 45:08her you listen to I can feel that one
1171. 45:13back to H me keep that line in Nick I am
1172. 45:15the head of my family okay anyways
1173. 45:18guys let's get let's get back up go back
1174. 45:21go back go back go
1175. 45:23back but but the thing is like I started
  1176. 45:26to reenter it
1177. 45:27and I do that every day in my day job
  1178. 45:31I'm running a company is 8090 going well
1179. 45:34or not well it depends on the conditions
1180. 45:36on the ground when things are going well
1181. 45:38I need to do more of those things when
1182. 45:40things are not going well I need to re
1183. 45:41underwrite is it something that I'm in
1184. 45:44control of is it something that I've
1185. 45:45missed how do I change it how do I get
1186. 45:47my team to be better I live it every day
1187. 45:50in investing it's the same thing you
1188. 45:52know there was periods where I was on
1189. 45:54top of the world and everything was
1190. 45:55working then there were waves where
1191. 45:58things were not working but I still had
1192. 46:00to show up and do my job well as it's
1193. 46:02turning out in those Darkest Hours was
1194. 46:05when I probably have made some of my
1195. 46:07absolute best new Investments that would
1196. 46:10not have happened if I did not keep my
1197. 46:12feet on the ground and constantly re
1198. 46:15underwrite and try to challenge my
1199. 46:17biases there are so many examples that
1200. 46:20have happened to Trump that when you
  1201. 46:21actually unpack them there was a
1202. 46:23concerted effort to lie and that is why
  1203. 46:27it's important for folks
1204. 46:29to be able to suspend that judgment the
1205. 46:33second thing I would say is then you saw
1206. 46:36four years of the man in office and if
  1207. 46:39you actually
1208. 46:41separate the interpretation by the media
1209. 46:45who frankly just hate him with what he
1210. 46:48actually did you take a step back and
1211. 46:51you're like man these accomplishments
  1212. 46:52were incredible for example let's look
1213. 46:55at what happened with the Abra hemicords
1214. 46:57we have never been closer to substantial
1215. 47:01and sustained peace in the Middle East
1216. 47:04in any era of government under any
1217. 47:06president than we were when Jared
1218. 47:09Kushner on behalf of Donald Trump
1219. 47:11negotiated those agreements and look how
1220. 47:14far we have slipped since
1221. 47:16then and all of that happened as a
  1222. 47:19result
1223. 47:21of the incoming government wanting to
1224. 47:24undo what was so logically right in in
  1225. 47:27the first
1226. 47:27place and part of that was to feed a
1227. 47:30media cycle so again I just go back to
1228. 47:32David all of these normal people and I
1229. 47:34know a lot of them as well speak to them
1230. 47:36yeah like I mean yeah you guys need to
1231. 47:39just take a step back and take a beat
1232. 47:42and just think about something for a
1233. 47:43second how do so many normal high
  1234. 47:47functioning well-intended people switch
1235. 47:50sides how did that happen now jcal let
1236. 47:52me ask you the flip side of the coin you
1237. 47:55have expressed publicly recently even on
1238. 47:59a podcast yesterday with Sachs in
1239. 48:02vigorous debate on the show many times
1240. 48:04reservations about Trump and the
1241. 48:06character of trump yeah how do you feel
1242. 48:10you obviously align with the policies
  1243. 48:12that he's highlighted and indicated you
1244. 48:14you've said so absolutely yeah do you
1245. 48:16see past the person or do you still have
1246. 48:17a a strong degree of reservation about
1247. 48:20the individual and do you see that
1248. 48:21playing out in your cohort friends
1249. 48:23family what have you that there's strong
1250. 48:25reservation because of the character
  1251. 48:27yeah it's a great question you know I
1252. 48:30think the thing we have to do now is
  1253. 48:31come together as a country he's the
  1254. 48:33president it's great that it was not a
  1255. 48:36debatable election and we're not going
1256. 48:38to have riots at the capital and people
1257. 48:40beating up police officers and now it's
1258. 48:43time to actually look at what Trump said
1259. 48:46and then we will grade him on what he
1260. 48:48actually gets done and and you know if
1261. 48:50he is able to hang out with the cohort
1262. 48:55of Elon and chamath and Sachs and JD
1263. 48:59Vance I feel a lot better about it now
1264. 49:01there's a lot of people speculating he
1265. 49:03will turn on shth he will turn on Sachs
1266. 49:06he will turn on Elon and that
1267. 49:08relationship will end in the next year
  1268. 49:09or two that's what I'm looking at Will
1269. 49:11trump actually do the things he says
1270. 49:14he's going to do and what did he say he
1271. 49:16was going to do well he's not going to
  1272. 49:18have a National Abortion man he's not
1273. 49:20going to have kick people out who get
1274. 49:23college degrees here remember he said on
1275. 49:24the show he's going to staple the green
1276. 49:25guard to it and but then there's other
1277. 49:28and he said he's going to end the
1278. 49:29Ukraine the war in Ukraine on day one so
1279. 49:33let's make a list of all the things he
  1280. 49:34promised and like anybody else let's
1281. 49:37judge him based on what he gets done now
1282. 49:40some of the things he promised like the
  1283. 49:42mass deportation of 15 million people I
1284. 49:44think a lot of people even on this
  1285. 49:46podcast probably don't agree with I
1286. 49:48don't think anybody here wants to see 15
1287. 49:50million people who came here to have a
1288. 49:53better life and who are working hard and
1289. 49:55who are productive m MERS of our society
1290. 49:58literally get dragged out of here the
  1291. 50:00the 500,000 that are criminals or a
1292. 50:02million sure nobody wants to see them uh
1293. 50:05get a free pass here but you know
1294. 50:07there's going to be some of the items on
1295. 50:09his agenda that are going to be very
1296. 50:11uncomfortable to see executed and some
1297. 50:13of them would be amazing and miracles if
1298. 50:15he comes in and all of a sudden Ukraine
1299. 50:18war is settled fantastic if he starts
  1300. 50:20dragging a million people
1301. 50:23every you know two or three months out
  1302. 50:26of the country
  1303. 50:27that could be absolutely
1304. 50:29disastrous and incredibly hard to watch
1305. 50:32happen in America so we got a judgment
  1306. 50:34based on his actions that's great let's
1307. 50:36give him the support he needs and I
1308. 50:38really hope you know the thing that
1309. 50:39gives me hope is the fact that saak
1310. 50:41chamath Elon and JD Vance are by his
1311. 50:44side so I'm goingon to move on to the
1312. 50:46rest of the election the other races so
  1313. 50:48so the presidency we've talked about
1314. 50:51let's talk about the house and the
  1315. 50:52Senate sacks in the house there's 37
1316. 50:55races that have yet to be called but it
1317. 50:58looks like the Republicans need about 12
1318. 51:01more to be called to have a majority it
1319. 51:04seems very likely I mean ACC according
  1320. 51:05to poly Market it's 99% that the
1321. 51:08Republicans will have the majority in
1322. 51:09the house the Republicans have control
1323. 51:11of the Senate and Trump is in the White
1324. 51:14House what are the top policy items that
1325. 51:18the Republicans will pursue with this
1326. 51:21degree of legislative and executive
  1327. 51:24control what's number 1 two3 on the list
1328. 51:27what's top priority and how are they
1329. 51:28kind of getting together to figure out
  1330. 51:31what and how to
1331. 51:32execute those items in the in the weeks
  1332. 51:35and months after January
1333. 51:3720th well so first of all I think the
1334. 51:39Senate majority matters a lot in terms
1335. 51:41of trump getting the appointments that
1336. 51:42he wants because if he was just at 51
1337. 51:46let's call it it would be quite hard
1338. 51:49Susan Collins and Lisa marowski tend to
1339. 51:53be very very moderate uh Republicans and
  1340. 51:57would oppose I think a lot of
  1341. 51:58conservative appointments Trump's
  1342. 52:00already at 53 senators and there's two
1343. 52:03more that are still up for grabs and
1344. 52:05waiting to be counted so he might get to
1345. 52:0754 in the next week or so it just means
1346. 52:09he's going to have a Freer range on
  1347. 52:11appointments I think that'd be really
1348. 52:12good for for uh Bobby Kennedy I think it
1349. 52:15might be harder to get Bobby Kennedy
1350. 52:17confirmed for a major cabinet post with
  1351. 52:2051 with 53 54 I think we get there I
  1352. 52:23think that's a really great thing for
  1353. 52:24the country there's other appointment
  1354. 52:26appointments in a similar vein that I
1355. 52:27think it be easier for for Trump to get
1356. 52:30through in terms of the rest of the
1357. 52:32agenda I mean Trump clearly does want to
1358. 52:34end the war in Ukraine is he going to be
1359. 52:36able to do it on day one no I mean I
  1360. 52:38don't think that's realistic because
1361. 52:40frankly the ukrainians are not willing
1362. 52:43to make the concessions yet they're not
  1363. 52:45in a place where they're willing to make
1364. 52:46a deal I still think that what Trump was
1365. 52:49saying during the campaign if you look
1366. 52:51at it as expression of his motivations
1367. 52:53and where his sentiments are coming from
1368. 52:55they were good sentiment but if he can't
1369. 52:57solve it on day one because the
  1370. 52:58ukrainians don't want to make a deal I
1371. 53:00can't really fault him for that but I
  1372. 53:01think he'll try I think that on Doge
1373. 53:05there's clearly a strong desire of many
1374. 53:08in the Republican party and Elon and the
1375. 53:11people that Elon brought with him for
1376. 53:13major government reform much more
  1377. 53:15efficiency much less spending I think
1378. 53:18that we have to get as much of that past
1379. 53:20as possible in the first certainly the
  1380. 53:22first year there's a necessity for
1381. 53:24legislative action to get all the cuts
  1382. 53:27in federal spending that they're looking
1383. 53:28to cut is that right Sach so if if
1384. 53:31elon's objective is cut trilon there
1385. 53:33might be some things you can just do
1386. 53:34through executive orders and they should
1387. 53:36do as much as they can but I think you
1388. 53:38do need some congressional action as
1389. 53:39well this is an area where it's just
1390. 53:41going to be really hard because spending
1391. 53:44is a bipar and problem and it's going to
1392. 53:46be really hard to jam through the type
1393. 53:50of deep reform that we really should
1394. 53:53have at the federal level but I think
  1395. 53:55that now there's a shock because Trump
1396. 53:57does have majorities in the House and
1397. 53:59Senate that he can at least get
1398. 54:01something through so at least we have a
1399. 54:02shot of getting something done there are
1400. 54:04we going to get two trillion in Cuts
  1401. 54:06Like Elon wants I would love that I
1402. 54:09doubt you're going to be able to pass
1403. 54:10that through Congress but do you start
1404. 54:12with that number and then work your way
1405. 54:13down to a number that you can get both
  1406. 54:16parties to support maybe that's possible
  1407. 54:18hopefully I would have started I would
  1408. 54:19have started with three
  1409. 54:21then but I mean that's just my that's
1410. 54:23just my tactic but whatever but I think
1411. 54:25reforming the bureau is just such a huge
1412. 54:28theme coming out of this election and we
1413. 54:31just have to figure out how to get that
1414. 54:32done got the Mandate we have the Mandate
  1415. 54:35that's Trump's mandate and the the
  1416. 54:37federal government is such a large
1417. 54:39sprawling it is the largest organization
1418. 54:41on earth except for maybe the CCP and in
1419. 54:44that sense you really have to have
1420. 54:47leverage in leadership to be able to
1421. 54:49realize that degree of action at that
1422. 54:51scale so the cabinet positions matter a
1423. 54:54lot to realize that agenda is that is
1424. 54:56that fair to say chth and you know maybe
1425. 54:58we can talk a little bit about who are
1426. 55:01the the folks in the orbit of Donald
1427. 55:03Trump and the transition team that are
1428. 55:06being considered for different cabinet
1429. 55:08posts and you know as an adviser or as a
1430. 55:11let's call you a theoretical adviser uh
  1431. 55:13to the transition
1432. 55:14team what are the kind of key posts that
1433. 55:17matter to you how would you kind of
1434. 55:18advise them who to look for that could
1435. 55:20really realize the outcome that the
  1436. 55:22Mandate is dictating well I I have no
1437. 55:26influence on this process so I'm just
1438. 55:28totally spitballing but right people who
  1439. 55:30I think
  1440. 55:32are who I think are excellent I'm going
1441. 55:35to put Bobby Kennedy right at the top of
  1442. 55:36the
1443. 55:37list I think that Bobby has an
1444. 55:39opportunity to allow the transparency of
1445. 55:43information that will allow folks to
1446. 55:47keep doing what we've done or to change
1447. 55:50course in a way that right now I think
1448. 55:53is a little bit more difficult than it
  1449. 55:55needs to be
  1450. 55:56I think Vive
  1451. 55:58ramaswami is indefatigable I think he's
1452. 56:03a you know if you remember back to the
1453. 56:05Republican primaries there was only one
1454. 56:07person that did not attack Donald Trump
1455. 56:09and it was viic I think he um believed
1456. 56:12in what Donald Trump was doing and was
1457. 56:15willing to sort of embrace and extend
  1458. 56:16this idea so I think he'd be a really
  1459. 56:18good proxy I don't know what role that
1460. 56:20looks like but I just think that he
1461. 56:21would be exing there's some rumors that
1462. 56:25he's going to run for governor Ohio but
1463. 56:26he'd be amazing in the federal
1464. 56:27government tulsy gabard we got to get
1465. 56:30there yeah yeah I just just to go
1466. 56:32through the list I think tulsy gabard is
1467. 56:34so awesome for what role what would you
1468. 56:37put her in you know the rumor is is
1469. 56:40Veteran Affairs yeah Veteran Affairs but
1470. 56:42you know hopefully it's at least that
  1471. 56:45yeah that's a cabinet position right
1472. 56:47just for those who you know there's
  1473. 56:48another race that's going on that's
1474. 56:49really below the surface but is
1475. 56:51extremely important and that is the new
1476. 56:53Senate Majority Leader MIT Mitch
  1477. 56:55McConnell says he stepping aside there's
1478. 56:57two major C th versus Mike Lee yeah well
1479. 57:00it's it's John th versus Corin from
1480. 57:02Texas and Mike Lee has been sort of
1481. 57:05agitating it's not clear that Mike Lee
1482. 57:07will throw his hat in the ring if he did
1483. 57:09I would be all in favor of it if Mike
1484. 57:12Lee who is from Utah doesn't we should
1485. 57:14really go with whoever he recommends I
1486. 57:16really trust that Mike Lee will
1487. 57:18represent the Maga agenda whereas quite
1488. 57:21frankly the other candidates will be a
  1489. 57:23continuation of Mitch and this Trump's
1490. 57:26moment to weigh in on that he's basking
1491. 57:29in the glow right now he is in the
1492. 57:32winter Circle he can get anything
  1493. 57:35through the Republican caucus and I
1494. 57:38think that he could weigh in right now
1495. 57:39in the Senate majority race and make
1496. 57:41sure the right person gets it if you get
1497. 57:44a continuation of Mitch McConnell you
1498. 57:46will not get real reform through the
1499. 57:47Senate look at what happened during
1500. 57:49Trump one Mitch McConnell was one of
1501. 57:51Trump's biggest opponents so there would
1502. 57:54be Alternatives but I think Trump would
1503. 57:56have to step in and act there's some
1504. 57:58talk about Rick Scot from Florida being
1505. 57:59a candidate I think he'd be very good if
1506. 58:01he's still in the race or just go right
1507. 58:04over the top and go with a Mike Lee this
1508. 58:06is your moment to basically put in a
1509. 58:09loyalist and then the big cabinet
1510. 58:11positions that are left I think defense
1511. 58:13probably somebody like Rick grenell
1512. 58:15who's already worked for Trump and was
1513. 58:18the dni right at the end I
1514. 58:20think and then in treasury it's you know
1515. 58:23I think people say it's between scottt
  1516. 58:25bessent and
  1517. 58:28John
  1518. 58:29Paulson I'm not so sure I don't know fed
  1519. 58:31Governor I think it's like probably
1520. 58:33hasal but then you know I saw like you
1521. 58:35saw Jerome pal Jerome pal this morning
1522. 58:37said he would not step aside if asked to
1523. 58:39resign by Donald Trump no he's got two
  1524. 58:41more years so he's got until 26 he's got
1525. 58:43until mid 26 so you know I mean the
  1526. 58:45rumor I don't want to say too much but I
1527. 58:47think this is pretty much out there I
1528. 58:48think reyell wants State not defense I
1529. 58:50think that it's not to say he's going to
  1530. 58:52get it I don't know but that's been out
  1531. 58:54there for a long time I I think that
1532. 58:56what a lot of people in let's call it
1533. 58:59the Maga movement the America first
1534. 59:00movement are going to be looking at very
1535. 59:02closely is do neocons worm their way
1536. 59:07into this Administration look at what
1537. 59:09happened during Trump one he ran in
  1538. 59:11opposition to Forever Wars I think was a
1539. 59:13major part of his appeal it's what
1540. 59:15allowed him to shatter the bush Dynasty
1541. 59:17it's what I think really hurt kamla in
1542. 59:19terms of having the Chinese Embrace her
  1543. 59:22so it's a major part of his I'd say not
1544. 59:25just appeal but also his legacy that he
1545. 59:28will not continue forever Wars but the
1546. 59:29problem is that the blob keeps
1547. 59:33infiltrating the Trump Administration or
1548. 59:35they did they infiltrated Trump one by
1549. 59:37putting in John Bolton and esper and all
1550. 59:39these guys who frankly betrayed Trump
1551. 59:42totally so I think a lot of people are
1552. 59:43looking closely at will neocons be able
1553. 59:45to worm their way into this
  1554. 59:47Administration and if they do it's a
1555. 59:49very it would be very very sad I think
1556. 59:51the difference this time around which is
1557. 59:53so incredible is that you're now seeing
  1558. 59:56on
1559. 59:57X people asking all the neocons to be
  1560. 1:00:00named and shamed and they're creating
1561. 1:00:02these lists so that they can't worm
1562. 1:00:03their way in it's the most incredible
1563. 1:00:05thing I've ever seen where have you
1564. 1:00:08espoused those views in the past if so
1565. 1:00:10the likelihood that somebody will raise
1566. 1:00:14an alarm Bell now on the so that you
  1567. 1:00:16can't get near this
  1568. 1:00:18Administration I've never seen anything
1569. 1:00:20like that before actually yeah and you
1570. 1:00:21know what here's the great danger is you
1571. 1:00:23look at the last few months okay who was
1572. 1:00:26there for trump it was people like Elon
1573. 1:00:28it was basically you know all of us who
  1574. 1:00:30worked and look I'm a very minor minor
1575. 1:00:33figure but I did my little part and
1576. 1:00:35there were a lot of other people on the
1577. 1:00:37ground doing their thing but where is
1578. 1:00:38Elon today Elon had to fly home for a
  1579. 1:00:41Tesla board meeting he's got real
1580. 1:00:42companies to run and who all of a sudden
1581. 1:00:44shows up in maral Lago the swamp
1582. 1:00:46creatures they were nowhere to be found
1583. 1:00:48for the last three months now the swamp
  1584. 1:00:50creatures come crawling out and they're
1585. 1:00:52going to be swarming Mara Lago and
1586. 1:00:53trying to worm their way into the
  1587. 1:00:54administration and that's that's the the
1588. 1:00:57issue is we got to keep you know this is
1589. 1:00:59where I I hope that all the the Maga
1590. 1:01:02influencers Stay Frosty and stay
1591. 1:01:05involved we have to consolidate this
1592. 1:01:07Victory and get reform type people in
1593. 1:01:10the administration not just the usual
1594. 1:01:13type people from Washington would you
  1595. 1:01:15serve if asked no I mean look I I've
1596. 1:01:18already said before I'm the key manic
1597. 1:01:19craft I can't do that but you know look
  1598. 1:01:21I would do something part-time meaning
  1599. 1:01:23if it wasn't a full-time job if I didn't
1600. 1:01:25have to leave my current job if it was
1601. 1:01:26just serving on some advisory committee
1602. 1:01:29or something that that was compatible
1603. 1:01:31with my current job I would do that
  1604. 1:01:33that's a no-brainer I would love
  1605. 1:01:35absolutely if not full-time because I'm
1606. 1:01:37running a company but yeah if there was
1607. 1:01:39the opportunity to help basically just
1608. 1:01:41put me on the Doge committee sacks if
1609. 1:01:43you wouldn't mind I just want to go like
1610. 1:01:45line item by line item in one afternoon
1611. 1:01:47and I'm out of there like I'm just gonna
1612. 1:01:48go did say this today but he said The A
  1613. 1:01:51Team are running companies we're all
1614. 1:01:53we're all running companies but if asked
  1615. 1:01:56to serve especially in a part-time
1616. 1:01:59capacity where you don't have to divest
1617. 1:02:01everything you own and you can actually
1618. 1:02:02just go and call and actually
1619. 1:02:04just make sure good decisions get made
1620. 1:02:06it would be an honor to serve in that
  1621. 1:02:08capacity yeah I think everybody should
1622. 1:02:10have given a chance I want to say one
1623. 1:02:12thing just to build on yeah and then I
1624. 1:02:13want to ask you one more question sham
  1625. 1:02:15go ahead I do want
1626. 1:02:16to give a shout out to Elon and in one
1627. 1:02:19very specific way you know you've heard
1628. 1:02:22all these stories where he gets obsessed
  1629. 1:02:25about something
1630. 1:02:26and then he focuses on it at the sake of
1631. 1:02:30everything else and strips it down and
1632. 1:02:33gets to First principles rebuilds it
  1633. 1:02:36back up and it
1634. 1:02:37works and as far as I can tell basically
1635. 1:02:40when he decided that this election was
1636. 1:02:42going to come down to
1637. 1:02:46Pennsylvania on one hand and young men
  1638. 1:02:51on the
1639. 1:02:52other he just kept doing that one thing
1640. 1:02:57over and over and over again every time
1641. 1:03:01you turned on X he was doing a rally
1642. 1:03:04crazy he was speaking to the residents
1643. 1:03:07of Pennsylvania and spent like two weeks
1644. 1:03:09there young disaffected voters and
1645. 1:03:12getting them out and then his pack built
  1646. 1:03:16an
  1647. 1:03:17infrastructure that rivaled the
1648. 1:03:19Democratic infrastructure in terms of
1649. 1:03:21get out the vote and
1650. 1:03:22transation with a lot less money and
1651. 1:03:25only a month or two is is incredible
1652. 1:03:29well and then the sweet Stakes was also
  1653. 1:03:32inred it's really really incred there
1654. 1:03:34was a lot of controversy around the
  1655. 1:03:35sweepstakes idea I don't know why that
1656. 1:03:37was so controversial because if you
1657. 1:03:39think about that was the media trying to
1658. 1:03:41make an issue that was a nothing Burger
1659. 1:03:43a burger yeah and so they you know I
1660. 1:03:45think this is where it was dismissed on
1661. 1:03:47its face because if any person spent
1662. 1:03:49eight seconds understanding the law the
1663. 1:03:52the the judge dismissed it within an
1664. 1:03:53hour so you know if we look at that
  1665. 1:03:55million
1666. 1:03:56sweep Stakes to sign up for his pack if
1667. 1:03:58you think about how people normally uh
  1668. 1:04:01get people to sign up they're paying a
  1669. 1:04:03dollar a click probably $50 a click
1670. 1:04:05whatever it is using giving money to ABC
1671. 1:04:08or giving money to Facebook and he just
1672. 1:04:10said hey I'll just do a sweep stake sign
1673. 1:04:11up for this and then I have you in the
1674. 1:04:13database and then I can Market it to you
1675. 1:04:16there's no difference between giving
1676. 1:04:17away a million dollar sweep Stakes or
1677. 1:04:19buying a bunch of ads and paying by
1678. 1:04:20click and for everybody to frame that as
1679. 1:04:23he's buying votes when it was so clear
  1680. 1:04:25he wasn't
1681. 1:04:26I think that's the kind of media
1682. 1:04:28manipulation people are getting Savvy to
1683. 1:04:29and does not work anymore it was very
1684. 1:04:32clear it was just a sweep Stakes to sign
1685. 1:04:33up for his pack no different than paying
1686. 1:04:36$10 a click to Facebook when the legal
  1687. 1:04:39infrastructure of America dismisses a
1688. 1:04:40case on its face within 60 Minutes of it
1689. 1:04:43being heard it means it is a farce yeah
1690. 1:04:46I mean look I think what Elon showed is
1691. 1:04:49that a smart person can come in who who
1692. 1:04:52basically like you said can go into
1693. 1:04:54demon mode with how a startup or
1694. 1:04:56innovation mentality is willing to spend
1695. 1:04:58money but wants to do it smartly but is
1696. 1:05:00really hardcore can come in and beat the
  1697. 1:05:03supposed professionals their own game I
1698. 1:05:05think one of the big stories that's
1699. 1:05:08going to come out there's already some
1700. 1:05:09tea being spilt within Democratic
1701. 1:05:11circles about Jen Ali Dylan who was the
1702. 1:05:14campaign manager that kamla Harris
1703. 1:05:17inherited from Biden she had a billion
1704. 1:05:19dollars to spend billion doll the
1705. 1:05:21campaign still ended $20 million in debt
1706. 1:05:24in debt and this at least has been
1707. 1:05:26reported Mone go so well I'll tell you
1708. 1:05:28the money went to expensive Consultants
1709. 1:05:31they did overly elaborate staged events
1710. 1:05:33they did these like fake concerts
1711. 1:05:35celebrity cameos supposedly they paid
  1712. 1:05:37Beyonce $10 million and they didn't even
1713. 1:05:39get a song out of it and that ended up
1714. 1:05:41you know pissing off she got paid they
  1715. 1:05:42were paying I don't know if that's true
  1716. 1:05:44I just read it in a tweet so I I can't
1717. 1:05:46say for sure but that's what I read yeah
1718. 1:05:49who knows it sounds it sounds suspect
1719. 1:05:50but the point is they spent a lot of
1720. 1:05:53money on the consultants and you know
1721. 1:05:57the events and Elon went after the Amish
  1722. 1:05:59you know that's like a lot smarter the
1723. 1:06:02person on the Democratic side where I
1724. 1:06:04feel the most disappointment after all
  1725. 1:06:06of this is Barack
1726. 1:06:09Obama I think he in the period when he
1727. 1:06:13was elected to me was just
1728. 1:06:16Transcendent and I thought that this is
  1729. 1:06:19a person that
1730. 1:06:21really was immune to getting assimilated
  1731. 1:06:25into the B and I don't know why I
1732. 1:06:27thought that but I did think that and I
1733. 1:06:31was just so saddened to see the tone and
1734. 1:06:35the rhetoric from Barack Obama during
1735. 1:06:37this last home stretch it I think was
1736. 1:06:41reputationally very damaging to him what
1737. 1:06:43did you say that offended you it was
1738. 1:06:45less about it didn't offend me it was
1739. 1:06:47just observing or disappointed you the
1740. 1:06:50when the rhetoric was you know trying to
1741. 1:06:52propagate these lies the very fine
1742. 1:06:54people hoax all these things I just
1743. 1:06:56thought he's so much smarter than the
1744. 1:06:58abortion ban the abortion ban he knows
1745. 1:07:00that these things are not true why is he
  1746. 1:07:03saying objective lies I don't really
1747. 1:07:06judge politicians for doing it in
  1748. 1:07:09general but I never considered him a
1749. 1:07:11politician I sort of considered him here
  1750. 1:07:12just like this Echelon
  1751. 1:07:14above and I and I was I was really
1752. 1:07:17disappointed that he chose to go down
  1753. 1:07:19that path yeah well I I I could
  1754. 1:07:21definitely add to that I mean look I
  1755. 1:07:22think o Obama's whole Mystique was that
1756. 1:07:24he transcended into politics and he
1757. 1:07:27tried to maintain that position of being
1758. 1:07:29above the fry and Let The Grubby
1759. 1:07:31business of politics be beneath him and
1760. 1:07:34even during the whole coup against Biden
1761. 1:07:36I mean they say that Obama signed off he
1762. 1:07:38was basically in favor of the the
1763. 1:07:40switcheroo to Harris but he was the last
1764. 1:07:43person to endorse it right he did not
1765. 1:07:44want to be seen as doing the dirty work
1766. 1:07:46that was left to Nancy Pelosi but
1767. 1:07:48there's no question that the switcheroo
1768. 1:07:50I think was was backed by Obama and then
1769. 1:07:54he did everything he could to prop of
1770. 1:07:56Harris including using the very fine
  1771. 1:07:57people hoax telling these lies and I I
1772. 1:08:00agree chamath I think that he has
  1773. 1:08:02diminished himself he's brought himself
1774. 1:08:04now down to the level of politics down
1775. 1:08:06to the level of a average politician
  1776. 1:08:08right I think probably you're
1777. 1:08:10disappointed because you had such a high
1778. 1:08:11Benchmark for him but we were just
1779. 1:08:13talking about Trump saying he would end
1780. 1:08:15the war on day one he said that he's
1781. 1:08:18going to deport 15 million people and
1782. 1:08:21you know all these politicians lie so I
1783. 1:08:23think my closing statement on all of
1784. 1:08:26this is y'all were a key part in putting
1785. 1:08:29Trump in obviously and if he starts
1786. 1:08:34behaving in the way he behaved during
1787. 1:08:35his first term the darker things he did
1788. 1:08:38I hope that y'all will call him on it
1789. 1:08:40and publicly call him on it and that he
1790. 1:08:42will steer towards you know his better
1791. 1:08:44angels and that's my hope for America
1792. 1:08:46and my hope for all of you who helped
1793. 1:08:48put him in office and played a very
1794. 1:08:50significant role in getting him here
1795. 1:08:51when he does something crazy if he does
1796. 1:08:54try to drag 15 million people out the
1797. 1:08:55the country is that okay with you sex
1798. 1:08:58well you said that he would start with a
  1799. 1:08:59million of people 500,000 to a million
1800. 1:09:01who are clear criminals he should do
1801. 1:09:03that what JD said and we all agree yeah
1802. 1:09:05JD said that the way you about the other
1803. 1:09:0714 he said that the way that you do
1804. 1:09:09deportations is the same way you eat an
1805. 1:09:11elephant you do it one bite at a time
1806. 1:09:13eat a sandwich so the way you eat an
1807. 1:09:15elephant is you do one bite at a time
1808. 1:09:17let's start with the biggest criminals
1809. 1:09:19the biggest people who shouldn't be here
1810. 1:09:20and then let's see what happens after
1811. 1:09:21that and look if he went 14 million what
1812. 1:09:24would you you be in support of that I we
1813. 1:09:27haven't gotten there yet the point is
1814. 1:09:28you take the first bite of the sandwich
1815. 1:09:29then you talk about the second bite but
  1816. 1:09:31there was a line from the 2016 election
1817. 1:09:33about Trump that I think was attributed
1818. 1:09:34to Peter teal which is very important
1819. 1:09:36which is that Trump should be taken
  1820. 1:09:38seriously but not
  1821. 1:09:40literally sometimes when he expresses a
1822. 1:09:42policy or a point of view he sells it so
1823. 1:09:45when he says I'm going to end the
1824. 1:09:46Ukraine war on day one does that mean
1825. 1:09:49he's literally going to do it on day one
1826. 1:09:50no what it means is he's going to try
1827. 1:09:52really hard to end the Ukraine war if he
1828. 1:09:54does it on day 365 of his presidency
1829. 1:09:57instead of day one I'm not going to come
1830. 1:09:59out and say he lied he didn't do what he
1831. 1:10:01said no I'm going to say he got the job
1832. 1:10:02done he did what he said he was going to
  1833. 1:10:04do so I think it's very important to
1834. 1:10:06judge him in that way when he says I'm
  1835. 1:10:08going to deport 15 million people do I
1836. 1:10:10expect him to do all 15 million not
1837. 1:10:12necessarily but if he closes the Border
1838. 1:10:15builds the wall seals it so it's no
  1839. 1:10:17longer a problem and deports 500,000 to
1840. 1:10:19a million hardcore criminals out of this
  1841. 1:10:21country I'm going to say that was a
  1842. 1:10:23massive success and you know what's
1843. 1:10:24going to happen Legacy me is going say
1844. 1:10:26well he lied because he didn't Deport
1845. 1:10:27the other 14.2 million come on let
  1846. 1:10:31understand let's understand the
1847. 1:10:32difference between camping and governing
1848. 1:10:35I agree with all that and I do think if
1849. 1:10:38he does try to do the 14 million that's
1850. 1:10:39the thing I have concerns about got it
1851. 1:10:41okay freeberg over to you so let's talk
  1852. 1:10:43about the cabinet positions chamath a
1853. 1:10:45guy like RFK Jr has never held an
1854. 1:10:47executive position before you and others
  1855. 1:10:50on this panel saaks J myself we''ve all
1856. 1:10:54kind of managed large groups of people
1857. 1:10:55we've all been in positions of being a
1858. 1:10:57CEO of a business you talk a lot about
1859. 1:11:00bringing in The Outsiders and the Trump
  1860. 1:11:01campaign talks a lot about bringing
  1861. 1:11:02these Outsiders sexs begrudgingly
1862. 1:11:05highlights the swamp creatures emerging
1863. 1:11:07to ask for those slots and those
1864. 1:11:08positions because they are lifelong
1865. 1:11:11politicians and bureaucrats how do we
1866. 1:11:13have trust and faith or do you think
1867. 1:11:15that that's the whole point is that you
  1868. 1:11:17have folks that don't have the
1869. 1:11:18experience to run these organizations
1870. 1:11:20that don't have the insights on who
1871. 1:11:21actually works there on how they operate
1872. 1:11:23and them coming in is going to provide
1873. 1:11:25enough of a fresh perspective and things
1874. 1:11:27up enough that that's exactly the point
1875. 1:11:30and like talk a little bit about
1876. 1:11:31bringing in Outsiders but Outsiders that
1877. 1:11:33can be effective in transforming these
1878. 1:11:35government agencies not just blowing
1879. 1:11:37them up or is the goal to blow them
1880. 1:11:39up no again I would I would just temper
1881. 1:11:43and tone down that rhetoric there's not
1882. 1:11:45nobody's blowing up anything but I think
1883. 1:11:47step one is going to be a level of
1884. 1:11:50transparency so that doing the obvious
1885. 1:11:53becomes obvious and I think that if you
1886. 1:11:55look back over 40 or 50 years what has
1887. 1:11:58happened is that secretaries and
1888. 1:12:00political appointments have gone from
1889. 1:12:03get the best person in the job because
1890. 1:12:04they know it to here's political Peola
1891. 1:12:07if you will and I think the pendulum has
1892. 1:12:10swung to two far of an extreme that's
1893. 1:12:12why the Swamp People are able to
1894. 1:12:14maintain control because the person
  1895. 1:12:17above them who's appointed doesn't
1896. 1:12:18fundamentally know the inner workings of
  1897. 1:12:20the
  1898. 1:12:20organization I suspect what you're going
1899. 1:12:23to see is a radical push to
1900. 1:12:25transparency and I think that when you
1901. 1:12:27combine transparency and SX called for
1902. 1:12:29this a version of the Twitter files for
  1903. 1:12:31the government I do think you're going
1904. 1:12:33to see that but if you combine that push
1905. 1:12:36to transparency with a handful of topics
1906. 1:12:39you know by the way we introduced a long
1907. 1:12:41time ago this idea of zerob based
1908. 1:12:43budgeting into the Lexicon and language
1909. 1:12:45of these political candidates that they
1910. 1:12:46used all the way through to the Finish
  1911. 1:12:48Line I do believe the Republicans
1912. 1:12:51earnestly mean it and so I think when
1913. 1:12:53you put these two things together
1914. 1:12:55freeberg I think what you will have is
1915. 1:12:58all of this laid be and then I think
1916. 1:13:01it'll start a debate on what to do and I
1917. 1:13:02think the the decisions about what to do
1918. 1:13:06will be so blindingly obvious the lwh
1919. 1:13:08hanging fruit will save this country
1920. 1:13:11once we pluck it can can I say a word
  1921. 1:13:14about I I think it's so important for
1922. 1:13:17Bobby Kennedy to be confirmed in
  1923. 1:13:18whatever c a position that he's going to
1924. 1:13:20get number one you know we look back the
1925. 1:13:23campaign now and it seems obvious that
1926. 1:13:25Trump was going to win it but at the
1927. 1:13:26time that Bobby Kennedy came on board
1928. 1:13:28that was a major factor in shifting
  1929. 1:13:31momentum towards Trump so that's number
1930. 1:13:34one number two we need to keep Bobby
1931. 1:13:36Kennedy's Coalition as part of our
1932. 1:13:39movement it's not just about what he did
1933. 1:13:41in this last election it's keeping all
1934. 1:13:43of those people those young people and
1935. 1:13:45those former Democrats on side and part
1936. 1:13:48of the Republican Party in the Maga
  1937. 1:13:49movement and number three he's genuinely
1938. 1:13:52going to reform that huge part of the
  1939. 1:13:54bureaucracy
  1940. 1:13:55and that's extremely important we need
1941. 1:13:57Outsiders to come in and shake things up
1942. 1:13:59he's right about the regulatory capture
1943. 1:14:01he's right about the marriage of state
  1944. 1:14:03power and corporate greed let's have
1945. 1:14:06someone go in there who's got fresh eyes
1946. 1:14:08but also understands how the bureaucracy
  1947. 1:14:10works because he's litigated and shake
1948. 1:14:12things up if you look at what Bobby
  1949. 1:14:14posted to Instagram Nick I don't know if
1950. 1:14:16you can find it but it was pretty
  1951. 1:14:18telling on this dimension
1952. 1:14:21of the first inning is going to be about
  1953. 1:14:24absolute radical transparency and
1954. 1:14:26sharing with the American people
  1955. 1:14:28everything that's been that's been under
1956. 1:14:29the covers by the way it's not just on
1957. 1:14:32that Dimension right we're going to see
1958. 1:14:34the Epstein files we're going to see the
1959. 1:14:36Diddy lists we're going to see the JFK
1960. 1:14:39file I know that these things are sort
1961. 1:14:40of Fringe conspiracy theory type things
1962. 1:14:42for some people but the point is from
1963. 1:14:45Pillar To Post that first phase of this
  1964. 1:14:48radical truth seeking
  1965. 1:14:50transparency is an incredible
1966. 1:14:52disinfectant that you can build from and
1967. 1:14:54he told the FDA I think something to the
1968. 1:14:56effect of pack your bags and keep your
  1969. 1:14:58records now let's let's take the
1970. 1:15:00hyperbolic part of it out but it's the
1971. 1:15:03keep your records part that should be
1972. 1:15:04valuable because we deserve to have
1973. 1:15:07answers now when you think at the same
1974. 1:15:10time that you have inventions like AI
1975. 1:15:12that can crunch every single piece of
1976. 1:15:15data Under the Sun and tell you the
1977. 1:15:16absolute truth imagine when you put
1978. 1:15:19transparency and the government sharing
1979. 1:15:21incredible amounts of information with
1980. 1:15:24the compute power that the Googles and
1981. 1:15:25the Facebooks and the and the open a
1982. 1:15:27eyes of the world are creating you'll
1983. 1:15:30know these answers to all of these
1984. 1:15:32questions vaccines are they good or bad
1985. 1:15:34when how fluoride is it good or bad when
1986. 1:15:37how all of these drugs that have been
1987. 1:15:39approved why all of these drugs that
1988. 1:15:41have not been approved why you're going
1989. 1:15:43to start to see some really interesting
1990. 1:15:45things has there been research on the
1991. 1:15:47impacts of food on physiology were they
1992. 1:15:49suppressed were they not suppressed so I
1993. 1:15:51think phase one is get it all out into
1994. 1:15:55the open totally and and what I what I
1995. 1:15:58said just what what shth referred to is
1996. 1:16:00yeah I said we should do Twitter files
1997. 1:16:02for the whole federal government just
1998. 1:16:04what I meant by that is remember before
1999. 1:16:06Elon bought Twitter they told us for
2000. 1:16:09years that the idea that Twitter was
  2001. 1:16:12shadowbanning conservatives and engaging
  2002. 1:16:14in censorship was a conspiracy theory
2003. 1:16:17then Elon opened up the Twitter files
2004. 1:16:18and we saw that it was all true and
2005. 1:16:21moreover that the government was engaged
2006. 1:16:23in censorship they been working hand in
2007. 1:16:26glove with the trust and safety
2008. 1:16:27department the FBI had logins they could
2009. 1:16:29just go in themselves I me crazy the FBI
2010. 1:16:31had their own tool called teleport which
2011. 1:16:33would allow them to transmit secret
2012. 1:16:35instructions to the trust and safety
2013. 1:16:37team at Twitter and they were censoring
  2014. 1:16:38based on those instructions that's
  2015. 1:16:40completely unacceptable Twitter
2016. 1:16:42management lied about it the government
2017. 1:16:43lied about it we only found out through
  2018. 1:16:45the Twitter files let's do a Twitter
2019. 1:16:47files for the federal government what do
2020. 1:16:49you think we're going to find out what
2021. 1:16:50do you think we' find out about covid
2022. 1:16:53what do you think really happened there
2023. 1:16:54if Bobby Kennedy can do that the lies
2024. 1:16:57they told us incompleteness of the
2025. 1:16:59actual clinical validation studies the
2026. 1:17:02authorizations and the waivers that were
2027. 1:17:05secured how good or how brittle or how
2028. 1:17:07fragile was that data by the way I think
2029. 1:17:10what we what it'll also do freeberg is
2030. 1:17:12if if it looks like this data is
2031. 1:17:14actually of extreme high quality you
2032. 1:17:16know what that does it reestablishes
2033. 1:17:18trust in that institution which is also
2034. 1:17:20a win so this whole thing is a
2035. 1:17:23win-win well and well let's not forget
2036. 1:17:27the foil leader they were literally
2037. 1:17:29being taught how to route around fou
2038. 1:17:32Team how to route around subpoenas and
  2039. 1:17:35people looking for information I mean
  2040. 1:17:37there's a lot to uncover here I'm 100%
2041. 1:17:40here for it yeah so just to be clear
  2042. 1:17:42there there's a there's a there's a law
2043. 1:17:43in the United States called the Freedom
2044. 1:17:44of Information Act the Foya uh is kind
2045. 1:17:47of a common term and it gives the power
2046. 1:17:50and authority to individual citizens and
2047. 1:17:52and third party agencies to have a check
2048. 1:17:55and balance on the federal government
2049. 1:17:56that they can go in they can request
2050. 1:17:58actual data actual files and it is all
2051. 1:18:01necessarily available to the public at
2052. 1:18:04any time except for classified
2053. 1:18:06information okay well the federal
  2054. 1:18:08government now over classifies
2055. 1:18:10everything we have something like what
  2056. 1:18:11like a billion classified documents they
2057. 1:18:13literally classify everything so through
2058. 1:18:15the foyer process thirdparty lawyers and
2059. 1:18:18nonprofits have made requests to federal
2060. 1:18:20agencies to get access to this sort of
  2061. 1:18:22information and I've done it I don't
2062. 1:18:24know if you guys have ever use foyer
2063. 1:18:25powers for information from the federal
  2064. 1:18:27government I had to do foyer requests 10
2065. 1:18:29years ago to get weather data or 15
2066. 1:18:31years ago for my startup climate it was
2067. 1:18:33the only way we were able to get access
2068. 1:18:35to a bunch of weather data was through
2069. 1:18:36foyer requests and then we were able to
2070. 1:18:37use the that data in our services
2071. 1:18:39because it is public data the taxpayers
2072. 1:18:41pay for it so we had a right to it
2073. 1:18:43similarly you can make foyer requests of
2074. 1:18:45emails and uh inter agency
2075. 1:18:47Communications and so on but SX I think
2076. 1:18:50it seems and jcal to your point about
2077. 1:18:52the foil lady there may over time have
2078. 1:18:55been some degree of Corruption of the
2079. 1:18:56foyer process in all of these agencies
2080. 1:18:59which has made it more difficult for
2081. 1:19:01individuals and third parties to have
2082. 1:19:02the appropriate checks and balances on
2083. 1:19:04the data in these agencies because of
  2084. 1:19:06the way they've kind of officiated
2085. 1:19:07access slowed down the process sometimes
2086. 1:19:09it takes months for them to respond to
2087. 1:19:11you and it's become quite difficult so
2088. 1:19:12the Foy the intention of the Freedom of
2089. 1:19:14Information Act may have been hindered
2090. 1:19:17by by the bureaucracy this will not be
2091. 1:19:19through for let me make one other
  2092. 1:19:20suggestion is we need a massive
2093. 1:19:23declassification effort of the federal
2094. 1:19:25government maybe this is the way to
2095. 1:19:26actually implement the Twitter files
2096. 1:19:28strategy is the problem is we have a
  2097. 1:19:31massive over classification problem
2098. 1:19:33billions of documents been classify at
2099. 1:19:35the federal government why because those
2100. 1:19:37bureaucracies know that they can kind of
2101. 1:19:39do whatever they want and kind of work
2102. 1:19:41in peace without having to disclose what
2103. 1:19:43they're really doing if they just Mark
  2104. 1:19:44classified on a document someone needs
2105. 1:19:47to go through that and start massively
2106. 1:19:49declassifying and if they do that then
  2107. 1:19:51there'll be a lot more documents
2108. 1:19:52available to foyer requests so that
2109. 1:19:55right there would be a huge help and
2110. 1:19:56then like you said the foyer process
2111. 1:19:58could be tightened up it could be a lot
2112. 1:20:00faster could be a lot easier and they
2113. 1:20:02should not be able to circumvent it by
2114. 1:20:04doing the kind of stuff that Jal
2115. 1:20:05referred to during covid where they were
  2116. 1:20:08like deliberately misspelling
2117. 1:20:10words Aster in you know hacker speak in
2118. 1:20:13order to avoid this and they were also
2119. 1:20:16told a bunch of people who are in
2120. 1:20:19three-letter agencies just by default
2121. 1:20:22put this at the highest level of
2122. 1:20:23security not to be disass Declassified
2123. 1:20:27so they unnecessarily put everything in
  2124. 1:20:29classified and so
2125. 1:20:32now every email is marked at the highest
2126. 1:20:35level of classification which means
2127. 1:20:37there's no Discerning it and if you were
2128. 1:20:39to blame an FBI agent if they told you
2129. 1:20:41hey just put everything on classified so
2130. 1:20:43it doesn't get out okay that seems like
2131. 1:20:45a pretty good way to cover your ass and
2132. 1:20:47that's got to change yeah well a lot a
2133. 1:20:49lot to to come in the weeks ahead I'm
2134. 1:20:51sure we will do more updates as the
  2135. 1:20:53cabinet position
2136. 1:20:55you're a man of science I know you have
2137. 1:20:57some differences with RFK do you want I
2138. 1:21:00have very deep trepidation about RFK
  2139. 1:21:02having oversight I think the authority
2140. 1:21:05might be limited with respect to the
  2141. 1:21:08legislative Authority that's vested by
2142. 1:21:10the Congress which is the the one piece
  2143. 1:21:12I I look I mean as you guys know there's
2144. 1:21:13a lot that RFK brings up that I very
  2145. 1:21:16that that resonates with me I I'm not a
2146. 1:21:18black and white guy so there are things
2147. 1:21:20that he says that make a lot of sense
  2148. 1:21:21there are things I've pointed out
2149. 1:21:23particularly around microplastic in the
  2150. 1:21:25environment particular around chemistry
2151. 1:21:26that we use in our food and our systems
  2152. 1:21:28of food and production and I I believe
2153. 1:21:30very strongly that we have real issues
2154. 1:21:32that have you know compounding effects
2155. 1:21:35on our health so let let me not be be
2156. 1:21:38too flippant about that I am not a all
2157. 1:21:40vaccines are always good all the time
2158. 1:21:42person I think that every one of them
2159. 1:21:43needs to be studied on the merits and
2160. 1:21:44the risks I think fluoride is is an
2161. 1:21:46interesting conversation to have what
2162. 1:21:48are the merits what are the risks and
2163. 1:21:49why is it a federal why is there Federal
2164. 1:21:52authority over fluide and water which by
  2165. 1:21:54the way there isn't it's it's all local
  2166. 1:21:55municipalities get to decide on a
2167. 1:21:57nuanced basis then net net where do you
2168. 1:21:59wind up freeberg net net where do you
2169. 1:22:01wind up I will say that there are a
2170. 1:22:02number of things that RFK have said that
2171. 1:22:03that caused me a lot of trouble that
  2172. 1:22:05that I'm very troubled by because I
2173. 1:22:07think that he has said things that are
2174. 1:22:08factually wrong and I want him to be
2175. 1:22:10open to debate and open to review of
  2176. 1:22:13objective truth and that's it and that's
2177. 1:22:14it and as long as do you like him as a
2178. 1:22:19disinfectant as a rabble Rouser as to
2179. 1:22:21shake up the system or netn net do you
2180. 1:22:23think it's too risky to let him in
  2181. 1:22:24generally I think all these systems
2182. 1:22:26should be challenged 100% okay so you
2183. 1:22:28want to send him in you say you want him
2184. 1:22:30to be open to debate I I personally have
  2185. 1:22:32never seen a candidate for office who's
2186. 1:22:34been more open to discourse debate
  2187. 1:22:37interviews than Bobby Kennedy's done
2188. 1:22:38everything he's been on this show twice
  2189. 1:22:40classifying him otherwise I'm not
2190. 1:22:42classifying otherwise you know who is
2191. 1:22:43not open to debate and discourse and
  2192. 1:22:45transparency is a bureaucracy that's the
2193. 1:22:48problem if you want government reform
2194. 1:22:50you have to get into the bureaucracy you
2195. 1:22:52need Outsiders to come in you need make
2196. 1:22:54it transparent you got to
2197. 1:22:57declassify that's what you got to do one
2198. 1:22:59of the most important aspects of science
2199. 1:23:01not the the recently Legacy Media or
  2200. 1:23:04jokingly definition of quotequote
2201. 1:23:06science but science is meant to be a
2202. 1:23:08process of skepticism interrogation and
2203. 1:23:11the search for objective truth which
2204. 1:23:12means that you should be constantly
2205. 1:23:14questioning whether you are right or
2206. 1:23:16wrong and I do think that that is a
2207. 1:23:18necessary part of the process of science
2208. 1:23:20science is not meant to be a dictatorial
2209. 1:23:22regime and so I think that setting the
2210. 1:23:25framework for how we operate some of the
2211. 1:23:28agencies and authorities that are
2212. 1:23:30supposed to be rooted in science to have
2213. 1:23:32the necessary process of skepticism
  2214. 1:23:35review and transparency into that I
2215. 1:23:38think will re reassert faith and
2216. 1:23:40reassert trust by the public in how
2217. 1:23:42these agencies are operating and I hope
  2218. 1:23:44that that happens I I really do because
2219. 1:23:46I do think that there are very good
2220. 1:23:47people in all these agencies who do very
  2221. 1:23:49good work and there's a lot of very
2222. 1:23:51important advances that have come out of
2223. 1:23:52the United States of America and have
2224. 1:23:54have gone through processes through the
2225. 1:23:55federal government that have actually
2226. 1:23:57done really great things for Americans
2227. 1:23:59and for Humanity and so I don't want us
2228. 1:24:01to dismiss things as being Whimsical
  2229. 1:24:03bureaucracies that that don't have any
2230. 1:24:04rooting in science but I do think that
2231. 1:24:06it's important to have this degree of
2232. 1:24:07skepticism and process and have
  2233. 1:24:08transparency so that's all
2234. 1:24:11well I'd like you to show me in the
2235. 1:24:13Constitution where the bureaucracy or
2236. 1:24:16the administrative state is a branch of
2237. 1:24:18the government I see in the Constitution
2238. 1:24:20that we are supposed to be ruled by an
  2239. 1:24:22executive branch a islative branch and a
2240. 1:24:25judicial branch I do not see hold on I
2241. 1:24:27do not see an administrative branch that
2242. 1:24:29has sprung into into existence over the
2243. 1:24:32last several decades yep and it rules us
2244. 1:24:36there's roughly three million people who
2245. 1:24:37work for the federal government of those
  2246. 1:24:39the president basically appoints 3,000
2247. 1:24:42and it takes forever to get them through
2248. 1:24:43yeah so we have roughly three million
  2249. 1:24:45people who don't report to anyone
  2250. 1:24:47nominally they're supposed to report to
2251. 1:24:49the executive branch but the president
2252. 1:24:51can't fire him we talked about in the
2253. 1:24:53previous show if Elon had gone into
2254. 1:24:55Twitter and he hadn't been allowed to
2255. 1:24:57fire anyone do you think he could have
2256. 1:24:59restored free speech to Twitter of
2257. 1:25:01course not they just would have kept
2258. 1:25:02doing whatever they wanted to do and
2259. 1:25:04that is the big problem in the federal
2260. 1:25:05government right now is we are ruled by
2261. 1:25:07a fourth branch of government that is
  2262. 1:25:09not in the Constitution that doesn't
2263. 1:25:11report to anybody it is not subject to
2264. 1:25:14elections we can't vote them out and we
2265. 1:25:17can't fire them and they have been in
2266. 1:25:18the Forefront of trying to stop Trump
2267. 1:25:21and the larger Reform movement that he
2268. 1:25:23represents ever since Trump got elected
2269. 1:25:25in 2016 remember it was members of the
  2270. 1:25:28administrative State specifically the
  2271. 1:25:30security State who said don't worry
2272. 1:25:31we're going to be the insurance policy
2273. 1:25:33against Trump and they have done
2274. 1:25:35everything possible through the rushia
2275. 1:25:37gate hoax through laare through yeah the
2276. 1:25:39whole steel dosier hoax to basically try
2277. 1:25:42and stop Trump and the reform movement
2278. 1:25:45that he represents and the big question
2279. 1:25:46of Trump's second term will be whether
2280. 1:25:48he can finally subdue this bureaucracy
2281. 1:25:51and bring it under Democratic control
2282. 1:25:53under the control the executive branch
2283. 1:25:55as the American people want and as I
2284. 1:25:57think the Constitution intended right
2285. 1:25:59now we are run by an unelected branch of
2286. 1:26:01government that has to stop and what
2287. 1:26:03Trump represents is not dictatorship but
2288. 1:26:05democracy the Triumph of democracy over
  2289. 1:26:08this bureaucracy and a and a big a big
2290. 1:26:10important moment for for this movement
  2291. 1:26:15this
2292. 1:26:16return to the fundamentals of what was
  2293. 1:26:19vested in the
2294. 1:26:20constitution is the Chevon Doctrine case
2295. 1:26:23at the Supreme Court earlier this year
2296. 1:26:25It reversed the Authority for agencies
2297. 1:26:29to create their own rules and
2298. 1:26:30regulations that they can then enforce
2299. 1:26:32on private Enterprise and if that case
2300. 1:26:35carries through and is allowed to be
2301. 1:26:37used to support the efforts to
2302. 1:26:40deregulate or to De agency what you call
2303. 1:26:43kind of the bureaucracy I think it
2304. 1:26:45enables a lot of the change that that
2305. 1:26:47folks are looking for why should for
2306. 1:26:50example some commission be sprung out of
2307. 1:26:53you know some assembly being being
2308. 1:26:54created and then that commission gets to
2309. 1:26:56create their own rules and their own
2310. 1:26:57regulations that effectively are law
2311. 1:26:59that prevent private citizens and
2312. 1:27:01Enterprises from being able to operate
2313. 1:27:03and make decisions and I think that was
2314. 1:27:04a very important moment for this
2315. 1:27:07movement was the the Supreme Court case
2316. 1:27:09on the Chevon Doctrine earlier year I
2317. 1:27:10don't know if you agree with me on this
2318. 1:27:12seems totally agree I think that was an
  2319. 1:27:13absolute
2320. 1:27:14precursor which is it it was insane I
2321. 1:27:16mean again you had a Supreme Court
2322. 1:27:19ruling that effectively made the
2323. 1:27:21administrative State the highest law in
  2324. 1:27:22the land even though there's no
2325. 1:27:24constitutional basis for it so yeah
2326. 1:27:26repealing Chevron was definitely half of
2327. 1:27:28it and I think the other half of it is
2328. 1:27:29going to be whether lawmakers have to
  2329. 1:27:32pass laws you can't have individual
  2330. 1:27:33commissions pass laws that's that's the
2331. 1:27:35whole point we need bills passed by the
2332. 1:27:38Republican Congress that Trump can sign
2333. 1:27:40but we also need I think cabinet level
2334. 1:27:43appointments who will start to subdue
2335. 1:27:45the bureaucracy bring them under control
2336. 1:27:47find out what they're doing just give us
  2337. 1:27:49transparency around what they're doing
2338. 1:27:52Twitter file this thing so then we can
  2339. 1:27:53reform
2340. 1:27:54I think that we're going to look back on
2341. 1:27:56this era and I think it's going to last
2342. 1:27:58about 20 years or so at least which I
  2343. 1:28:02call a return to
2344. 1:28:03originalism we are returning to the
2345. 1:28:07founding principles of this startup
  2346. 1:28:10called America and I think it's
2347. 1:28:12incredible I think saak is right there
  2348. 1:28:14is this unbelievable living
2349. 1:28:17document that created this incredible
2350. 1:28:20experiment we veered way far away from
  2351. 1:28:22it it's taken
2352. 1:28:25us a lot of courage to get back to that
2353. 1:28:29place where now you can actually let
  2354. 1:28:32that guiding document govern a highly
2355. 1:28:36meritocratic country so it's going to be
2356. 1:28:39a lot of hard work but my gosh it's just
2357. 1:28:40an incredible moment and opportunity
2358. 1:28:43everybody should just take a breath and
2359. 1:28:46remember that I just like to do a quick
2360. 1:28:48survey of some of the local and state
2361. 1:28:50elections and and get some reactions I
2362. 1:28:52was going to try and talk a little bit
2363. 1:28:53about what's going on in San fr Frisco
2364. 1:28:54in California I'll just hit on it our
2365. 1:28:56friend my friend Daniel lur was it looks
2366. 1:28:59like he's going to be the mayor of San
2367. 1:29:00Francisco beating out the incumbent
  2368. 1:29:03mayor London breed
2369. 1:29:05Daniel ran on a moderate platform and
2370. 1:29:10has an intention of fixing a lot of the
2371. 1:29:13operations and inefficiencies in the San
  2372. 1:29:15Francisco government which has seen a
2373. 1:29:17ballooning in budget San Francisco has
2374. 1:29:18the highest budget per capita of any
  2375. 1:29:20city in the United States I think 50%
2376. 1:29:22higher than New York with a lower
2377. 1:29:24functioning kind of set of Municipal
  2378. 1:29:26services and there's a lot of
2379. 1:29:28opportunity for improvement there this
2380. 1:29:29is the first time really important stat
2381. 1:29:32first time an outsider has been elected
2382. 1:29:33mayor in San Francisco since 1911 every
  2383. 1:29:37mayor elected since 1911 in San
2384. 1:29:39Francisco was an existing government
2385. 1:29:43employee or government civil servant so
2386. 1:29:45just like what we saw in the federal
2387. 1:29:47elections we are seeing an outsider
  2388. 1:29:48being placed inal office in S I wish I
2389. 1:29:51wish I wish Lorie Hardy congrat rations
2390. 1:29:54Nick can you show him the
2391. 1:29:56Tweet your city has become a dangerous
2392. 1:29:58dirty dumpster fire for bad ideas from
2393. 1:30:00Libs I hope you do the obvious and be on
2394. 1:30:02the side of cops Justice clean streets
  2395. 1:30:03and meritocracy that's your message to
2396. 1:30:05the incoming well yeah I mean he is has
2397. 1:30:09been a major proponent you were going to
  2398. 1:30:12run for mayor one once J I was lobbied I
  2399. 1:30:16was approached and I was given uh a a
2400. 1:30:19lot of support uh seven figures of
2401. 1:30:21support to go do it
2402. 1:30:24it's a very hard job because the
2403. 1:30:26supervisors uh actually run the city and
2404. 1:30:28a lot of the supervisors uh like they
2405. 1:30:31got booted too no couple of them got
2406. 1:30:33booted Dean Preston got booted dopy Dean
2407. 1:30:37andp Dean that was big so the the Board
2408. 1:30:39of Supervisors has also shifted moderate
2409. 1:30:42the mayor is now going to be a moderate
  2410. 1:30:44Outsider and there's a real opportunity
2411. 1:30:46to rebuild and reform San Francisco it's
  2412. 1:30:48a place that I've called home for 25
  2413. 1:30:50years it's a place where I operate my
2414. 1:30:51business and it feels like a lot of the
  2415. 1:30:54citizens what
2416. 1:30:56hasic I still live there hold on I still
2417. 1:31:00I still live there and I do think that
2418. 1:31:01it was a big election in terms of
2419. 1:31:03improving things in San Francisco so
  2420. 1:31:04congrats to Daniel lur he's a friend of
2421. 1:31:06mine as well you go down to La another
2422. 1:31:09big race we booted gasone who was the
2423. 1:31:12Soros da who ruined San Francisco and
2424. 1:31:15then failed his way up to La was ruining
2425. 1:31:16LA and Nathan Hawkman who's uh you know
2426. 1:31:20moderate beat him by something like 20
2427. 1:31:22points and then like I me mentioned we
2428. 1:31:24got prop 36 passed in California by
  2429. 1:31:27about 70% which reverse from the
2430. 1:31:29excesses of Prop 47 which is the was the
2431. 1:31:32proposition a decade ago that was passed
2432. 1:31:35by then lieutenant governor Gavin and
2433. 1:31:37then attorney general kamla Harris to de
2434. 1:31:41facto legalize shoplifting so the people
2435. 1:31:45of California have had enough of these
2436. 1:31:48policies that frankly enable crime
2437. 1:31:50enable homelessness enable drug use and
2438. 1:31:53they want a correction look even wokes
2439. 1:31:56and blue State liberals don't want their
  2440. 1:31:58cars broken into I mean it's really
  2441. 1:32:01shocking it's really simple and I mean
2442. 1:32:03the crazy thing in Los Angeles with
2443. 1:32:05gasone was the a number of people who I
2444. 1:32:07know live there now know people in Santa
2445. 1:32:10Monica in brenwood in belir where we
2446. 1:32:12lived for so many years Sachs have home
2447. 1:32:16invasions have started again I mean that
  2448. 1:32:18is like a real breaking point for it's
2449. 1:32:21scary to have your home broken into by a
2450. 1:32:23gang right and and you know one one
2451. 1:32:26final point on this is that while the
2452. 1:32:29people of California resoundingly again
  2453. 1:32:32over 70% supported prop 36 there was one
2454. 1:32:35prominent figure who was opposed to it
2455. 1:32:37which was Gavin Newsome he said when he
  2456. 1:32:39saw early polling I don't know what
2457. 1:32:40state I'm living in so you know look the
2458. 1:32:43state we're living in Gavin is the one
2459. 1:32:46that you created you're the one who gave
2460. 1:32:47us these policies you're the one who
2461. 1:32:49gave us Prop 47 you're the one who gave
2462. 1:32:50us zero bail you're the one who allowed
2463. 1:32:53the the Democratic party in California
2464. 1:32:55to be taken over by Soros da you've
2465. 1:32:57never resisted these policies now you
2466. 1:32:59have a choice you can see where the
2467. 1:33:00people are at over 70% of California
2468. 1:33:03wants a change I'd say on the rest of
  2469. 1:33:06the country if it's 70% California 90%
2470. 1:33:08of the United States must you know is
2471. 1:33:11opposed to these soft on crime policies
2472. 1:33:13and if you ever have aspirations to be
2473. 1:33:16anything more than Governor California
2474. 1:33:17you better get on the right side of this
2475. 1:33:18issue scks David scks should be the
  2476. 1:33:21governor of California let's do it
  2477. 1:33:24no I'm I I am 100% serious it's the
2478. 1:33:27fifth largest economy in the
2479. 1:33:29world let's do it this is this is this
2480. 1:33:31is marked today as the day that I have
2481. 1:33:34decided oh that I de has decided that I
2482. 1:33:37am going to convince David to be the
  2483. 1:33:39governor of California I know great
2484. 1:33:41campaign manager press secretary for him
2485. 1:33:43hype man I will say um I'm just gonna
2486. 1:33:46say that David sock would be an
  2487. 1:33:47incredible governor of Califor I really
  2488. 1:33:50I'm not a candidate I'm not a c I
2489. 1:33:52understand blah BL right now he's lying
2490. 1:33:55he said it to me privately there's no
2491. 1:33:57rumor I'm just telling you right now
2492. 1:33:59that within two years I will have
2493. 1:34:00convinced him to do it it'll be the
2494. 1:34:02perfect time Gavin Newsome has been
2495. 1:34:04terrible for the state we have seen
2496. 1:34:07trillions of dollars of market cap exit
2497. 1:34:10the state in terms of corporations that
2498. 1:34:11have left we have gone from record
2499. 1:34:14surpluses to record deficits we have an
2500. 1:34:17education system that is failing
2501. 1:34:18millions of kids what is going on here
2502. 1:34:22we have taxes that are through the the
2503. 1:34:23roof and when you spend more and more
2504. 1:34:27and more to get less and less and less
2505. 1:34:30and it takes more and more out of
  2506. 1:34:32everybody's
2507. 1:34:33pocket what is the answer the answer is
2508. 1:34:36you have to fundamentally change
  2509. 1:34:37everything that's happening from first
2510. 1:34:39principles well I will say one more
2511. 1:34:41Point um about I will call it balance in
  2512. 1:34:44the
2513. 1:34:46force when uh a party is captured and
2514. 1:34:49moves too far in One Direction people
2515. 1:34:51leave the party and they vote for the
  2516. 1:34:53other party
2517. 1:34:54and then in order to attract people back
2518. 1:34:57to the party they tack to the center my
2519. 1:35:00big prediction over the next few years
2520. 1:35:02as you will see a more Centrist
2521. 1:35:04Democratic party as they try and I'll
2522. 1:35:06take the other side and they try and
  2523. 1:35:08attract they're too I'll take the other
2524. 1:35:10side so one one more topic before we W
2525. 1:35:13Sacramento SE sax and Sacramento not
2526. 1:35:15gonna happen not gonna guys before we
2527. 1:35:17WAP there's one other topic that came up
  2528. 1:35:19in every conversation I had with
2529. 1:35:21everyone about Trump that was a female
2530. 1:35:23was abortion and it was and and look I
2531. 1:35:26don't want to rehash again that it was
  2532. 1:35:28misrepresented what Trump's position is
2533. 1:35:30but abortion has become a very sensitive
  2534. 1:35:32topic a woman's right to do what she
2535. 1:35:34wants to do with her body when she wants
2536. 1:35:36to do it is something that that most
2537. 1:35:39women feel they are very deeply endowed
2538. 1:35:41with and that should be an unalienable
2539. 1:35:43right particularly in the United States
2540. 1:35:45of America and that even sending this
2541. 1:35:47back to States and States voting on it
  2542. 1:35:50creates a significant emotional response
2543. 1:35:52that drives folks to one party the other
2544. 1:35:54in Florida voters rejected an abortion
  2545. 1:35:57extension to 24 weeks Florida previously
  2546. 1:36:00had a 15we abortion ban but the current
2547. 1:36:02six-week ban took effect in May so the
2548. 1:36:05amendment that was being proposed on the
2549. 1:36:07ballot this week uh would have a cified
2550. 1:36:10abortion procedures up to 24 weeks in
2551. 1:36:12the state constitution but it needed 60%
2552. 1:36:14of the votes to pass but it only got
2553. 1:36:1757% so it looks like a loss for a
2554. 1:36:21pro-choice Advocates sax what is going
2555. 1:36:23to happen now that these abortion laws
2556. 1:36:25are being voted on these amendments to
2557. 1:36:27state Constitutions are being voted on
2558. 1:36:29how is this going to reshape American
2559. 1:36:31politics and how are the parties going
2560. 1:36:33to shift in the years ahead given how
2561. 1:36:35important and how sensitive this this
2562. 1:36:37topic has has become after the decision
  2563. 1:36:40of the Supreme Court recently look I I
2564. 1:36:42think that what you're seeing in the
2565. 1:36:45last election that we just had is the
2566. 1:36:47beginning of the end of the salience of
2567. 1:36:49this issue I mean abortion has been an
2568. 1:36:51issue that has deeply fragmented America
  2569. 1:36:53for 50 years I mean the pro-choice
  2570. 1:36:56versus pro-life movements have been a
2571. 1:36:58staple of American politics talking past
2572. 1:37:00each other they were never able to get
2573. 1:37:02to any sort of compromise with the
2574. 1:37:04appeal of roie Wade with the do's
2575. 1:37:06decision the issue has now been thrown
2576. 1:37:07back to the States and every state is
2577. 1:37:09working it out for themselves and in
  2578. 1:37:11Most states what's happening is it's
  2579. 1:37:14either the pro-choice totally wins or
2580. 1:37:16they compromise on some number of weeks
2581. 1:37:18I think that in Florida going for 24
2582. 1:37:20weeks might have been a little bit too
2583. 1:37:21many if they had tried to go back to 15
2584. 1:37:24you know they probably could have gotten
2585. 1:37:25there they probably could have gotten
  2586. 1:37:26from 57 to to 60 but that's what the
2587. 1:37:28debate's going to be about now is just
2588. 1:37:30basically in red States it's just going
2589. 1:37:31to be agree about agreeing on a certain
2590. 1:37:33number of weeks Blue states are pretty
2591. 1:37:35much going to be pro-choice and you can
2592. 1:37:37see that the federal level no one wants
2593. 1:37:39to touch this anymore J you raised the
2594. 1:37:41point during the the election cycle
2595. 1:37:43during the campaign that dos would be
2596. 1:37:45crushing for Trump and that women were
2597. 1:37:47going to turn out in droves for Harris
2598. 1:37:50on the base of this issue that simply
2599. 1:37:52did not happen if you look at voter
2600. 1:37:54turnout Trump increased his share of the
2601. 1:37:57women's vote he did lose college
2602. 1:37:59educated women so that subset of you
2603. 1:38:01could call it more Progressive yeah
2604. 1:38:03sorry College educ older women too I
2605. 1:38:05think came out yeah but if you look at
2606. 1:38:06women as a whole he won more of their
2607. 1:38:08votes so how did Trump inoculate himself
2608. 1:38:11on this issue he made it really clear he
2609. 1:38:13was not in favor of a national ban he
2610. 1:38:15said that he favored the exceptions and
2611. 1:38:17that it was now up to the states he
2612. 1:38:19basically assured the country the women
2613. 1:38:22of the country that again that abortion
2614. 1:38:24would not be banned and that was now a
2615. 1:38:25local issue and I think the voters of
2616. 1:38:27the country including women accepted
2617. 1:38:29that and it is now a state issue so so
  2618. 1:38:32Maryland Missouri I think it's gone
  2619. 1:38:34Maryland Missouri Nevada Montana
2620. 1:38:36Colorado Arizona all voted to codify the
2621. 1:38:39right to abortion and remove abortion
2622. 1:38:41bans on the other hand Nebraska voted
2623. 1:38:43for a ban on abortions after the first
2624. 1:38:45trimester and South Dakota voted against
2625. 1:38:48a right to abortion so South Dakota
2626. 1:38:50prohibits all abortions except when
2627. 1:38:52necessary to you're going to end up
2628. 1:38:54listen you're even in deep red States
2629. 1:38:57like Ohio the pro-choice forces have won
  2630. 1:38:59these referenda it's just a handful of
2631. 1:39:02cases like a very small number where the
2632. 1:39:04pro-life have gotten their their way
2633. 1:39:07again I think we're at the tail end of
2634. 1:39:09this being a salian issue in American
2635. 1:39:11politics I think Trump has ended it as a
2636. 1:39:13federal issue and it's now going state
2637. 1:39:16byst state and in most those States the
  2638. 1:39:17pro-choice forces are winning I think
2639. 1:39:19this issue is over and I think it's over
2640. 1:39:21because Republicans know not to touch
  2641. 1:39:24this jcal you've said it's the it's one
2642. 1:39:25of the most important issues of the day
2643. 1:39:27several times in the past you said women
2644. 1:39:29were going to vote in droves for comma
2645. 1:39:30because of the perception that Trump was
2646. 1:39:33trying to pass a federal a lot of them
2647. 1:39:35did clearly but not enough to swing the
2648. 1:39:37election and you know it's going to be
2649. 1:39:41you think it's gonna be to the question
2650. 1:39:42is Sach right is this GNA stop being an
2651. 1:39:45issue and it's now codified in state law
2652. 1:39:47and or is this going continue to be
2653. 1:39:50states where women will not be able to
2654. 1:39:52get an abortion sadly they will not be
2655. 1:39:53able to make that decision for
  2656. 1:39:55themselves that's my personal belief
2657. 1:39:56they should be able to make the decision
2658. 1:39:57for themselves I'd like to stay out of
2659. 1:39:59it but sax is largely right that if you
2660. 1:40:02don't if I'm reading it correctly think
2661. 1:40:05about it if you're a state and you ban
2662. 1:40:07abortion who's going to want to live
  2663. 1:40:08there you're going to have a lot of
2664. 1:40:09people leaving and that's been an issue
2665. 1:40:11here in Texas a lot of companies are
2666. 1:40:13having a hard time with not only getting
2667. 1:40:15women to move here to work at specific
2668. 1:40:17companies in Texas but men are a well
2669. 1:40:20are not are citing it as a concern so
2670. 1:40:23it's going to make it really untenable
  2671. 1:40:26for an economy you're saying men don't
2672. 1:40:28want to work for Tesla or SpaceX because
2673. 1:40:30of abortions I have heard many stories
2674. 1:40:33about people not wanting to come work at
2675. 1:40:35companies in Texas because of this law
  2676. 1:40:38yes I have heard that from employers I'm
2677. 1:40:40not talking about any of Von's companies
  2678. 1:40:42I don't speak for him
2679. 1:40:43obviously but this has been an issue for
  2680. 1:40:46companies in Texas
2681. 1:40:48okay guys this has been a fantastic
  2682. 1:40:51followup to this week's election I know
2683. 1:40:53some people are bitterly disappointed
2684. 1:40:55frustrated angry and sad about the
2685. 1:40:57future of America and others are deeply
2686. 1:40:59optimistic and excited and I think the
2687. 1:41:01end of the day it's all gonna be okay
2688. 1:41:04and I really do hope that everyone can
2689. 1:41:06kind of have constructive conversations
2690. 1:41:08about the future we'd all like to build
2691. 1:41:10together we do here and uh I really
2692. 1:41:13appreciate the friendship with you guys
2693. 1:41:15I want to say congratulations to saak

2695. 1:41:18there as early as you did in campaigning
2696. 1:41:20and promoting Donald Trump I think you
2697. 1:41:22guys had a very influential role in
2698. 1:41:25moving people for the effort you made

2716. 1:42:09in and ban the market for fake meat
