1. 0:02pain and adversity are inescapable
2. 0:05suffering and victimhood are a choice so
3. 0:10what I learned about pain is that the
4. 0:12pain is pain it hurts but the suffering
5. 0:15comes from the brain that is screaming I
6. 0:17can't take it anymore it's not fair like
7. 0:19me I don't deserve it you know that
8. 0:22voice inside the head is the suffering
9. 0:24the sensation in the body is the pain
10. 0:27those are two different things and there
11. 0:28are so much pain that the mind get just
12. 0:30tired of like crying and when the voice
13. 0:32stopped crying the pain remained alone
14. 0:36without the suffering actually is much
15. 0:37easier to tolerate pain if you don't
16. 0:40feel so sorry for yourself it's a much
17. 0:42better strategy because when we have
18. 0:44adversity if we resist it it just
19. 0:47becomes worse you know if we deal with
20. 0:49it it's actually right livelihood we
21. 0:52cannot choose what comes that we can
22. 0:54deal with it so I was on my knees and
23. 0:58elbows but I wasn't a broken person my
24. 1:01spirit was strong and I had no intention
25. 1:03to give up but then an airplane suddenly
26. 1:07passed in the sky 17 days I'm alone in
27. 1:10the forest the moment that airplane
28. 1:11passed I was I mean I immediately knew
29. 1:15that the airplane came after me so I
30. 1:18jumped on my feet and I started running
31. 1:20and screaming but because the flood
32. 1:22pushed me deep into the woods under the
33. 1:25canopies there was no way I could wave I
34. 1:27was away from the river and the airplane
35. 1:31just passed fast and oblivious to my
36. 1:33misery just disappeared that surge of
37. 1:36hope was the worst thing that I can
38. 1:38experience that actually broke me so
39. 1:41after 17 days of surviving I just
40. 1:44collapsed that moment were the airplane
41. 1:46passenger in the sky it just something
42. 1:49snapped inside me and I just couldn't
43. 1:51take it anymore and I started crying it
44. 1:53was the first time that cried and cried
45. 1:56answers a lot of release and then I
46. 1:58heard from the depths of my soul a pray
47. 2:02arising which was God please let me die
48. 2:05you know like I just gave up on life I
49. 2:07really gave up on life
50. 2:09it's it's not that I wanted to die I
51. 2:11want
52. 2:11to rest and I knew that it'll be the
53. 2:14only rest I can have is if I die I was
54. 2:16longing and gave up and that's an
55. 2:20amazing Kelly thank you for Decker
56. 2:22that's really a moment in the stories
57. 2:24that is also for me always like so
58. 2:27emotional and incredible this incredible
59. 2:29I gave up on life but the amazing thing
60. 2:33is that life didn't give up on me and
61. 2:35what happened it may sound you know like
62. 2:38really impossible but suddenly somebody
63. 2:43else was crying next to me and I heard
64. 2:46clearly that's as somebody else crying
65. 2:49so it was so shocking I left my head I
66. 2:51left lifted my head from the mud and I
67. 2:54saw a young woman lying next to me
68. 2:56crying I was shocked for a second but
69. 2:59then like in the flesh at the
70. 3:01realization this airplane may come back
71. 3:04so we still have a chance if we make it
72. 3:06to the river so I started screaming at
73. 3:08her get up get up we cannot cry now and
74. 3:11I pulled her from the mud and I started
75. 3:13running with the pushing her to get to
76. 3:15the river quickly if the airplane will
77. 3:16return for two entire days I spoke to
78. 3:21her I pushed her I talked to her
79. 3:23whatever it took
80. 3:24screaming but what begging just keep on
81. 3:27moving until we'll find an opening cause
82. 3:30of all the floods
83. 3:31there's no fliers there's no beaches
84. 3:34because the water just covers the old
85. 3:36applier so there's no opening and I was
86. 3:38walking along the river now just
87. 3:40searching for an opening so we can if
88. 3:43another airplane passes for two days and
89. 3:45then at night by night what I would do I
90. 3:48would lie between the roots of a
91. 3:50buttress tree and I would clean the rot
92. 3:53and I'll break some I put some fresh
93. 3:55leaves and then I'll break some palm
94. 3:57fronds to cover myself that night and
95. 4:00mind you this was the eighteenth night
96. 4:02after the floods there was no food until
97. 4:04the flood I found the raw egg or food
98. 4:07that fell but after the flood the floor
99. 4:09of the jungle was washed so there's no
100. 4:11food whatsoever and by that stage I was
101. 4:14just skin hanging on bones it was like
102. 4:17nothing left for me but and I was all
103. 4:22one big open wound because I was wet all
104. 4:24the time and I see
105. 4:25healed because of the humidity and then
106. 4:30I find myself that I chose the wider
107. 4:32tree and I made a camp for two people
108. 4:35and I'm calling that girl to come closer
109. 4:37to me and then I realized there's
110. 4:39nobody's there and it shocked me because
111. 4:42this wasn't like in my head like I built
112. 4:45the camp for her and so I I thought I'm
113. 4:51losing my mind and I got scared but you
114. 4:56know like that story is for me is like
115. 4:58something quite incredible because my
116. 5:02explanation to it it's it that it was
117. 5:04just imagination so I don't you know
118. 5:07some people here said Oh an angel came
119. 5:09or whatever it wasn't just imagination I
120. 5:12explained it you know but what I know
121. 5:14and that's the amazing part it wasn't my
122. 5:17imagination I didn't make it up you know
123. 5:21I was lying there crying praying to die
124. 5:25suddenly this girl appears so if she's
125. 5:28imagination who imagine them you know
126. 5:30and I cannot answer this question you
127. 5:33know and the other thing that is maybe
128. 5:37my biggest enlightenment from this story
129. 5:39is that that girl saved my life and
130. 5:42that's the secret she saved my life
131. 5:46because she needed me if you didn't help
132. 5:50me she didn't come to help me but she
133. 5:53needed my help I couldn't take care of
134. 5:56myself anymore but the moment somebody
135. 5:59needed me I found the power and I
136. 6:02realized that actually true power is
137. 6:04revealed when we give it to others as
138. 6:06long as we're self serving we strong but
139. 6:09we don't know the true meaning of power
140. 6:11when we start giving that power to
141. 6:13others then true power is revealed to us
