Full transcript
- 0:00Most Wing Chun students have weak arms,
- 0:03not because they are weak, but because
- 0:05they train the wrong way.
- 0:07What if I show you a simple tool that
- 0:08can make your arms feel like iron and
- 0:11your punches heavier without using
- 0:12strength?
- 0:14Today I will show you the chi sao ring
- 0:16secret.
- 0:17In Wing Chun we don't rely on muscles,
- 0:19we we rely on structure, relaxation, and
- 0:22correct training tools. The chi sao ring
- 0:24is one of the old school training
- 0:26methods, too, but most people don't know
- 0:29how to use it properly.
- 0:30Today I will show you how to use it to
- 0:33strengthen your arms, condition your
- 0:35bones, improve your structure.
- 0:37I've trained Wing Chun for over 50
- 0:39years. I started teaching in the 1970s.
- 0:42And I even created my own chi sao
- 0:44training ring to improve structure and
- 0:47sensitivity. I have taught thousands of
- 0:49students worldwide.
- 0:51And this is one of the simplest methods
- 0:53that gives the fastest results.
- 0:55Before you trust your chain punch, take
- 0:582 minutes for this test. Will your chain
- 1:00punch fail you?
- 1:02The link's pinned below.
- 1:05This is the chi sao ring.
- 1:07Your arm is like a stick.
- 1:09>> [snorts]
- 1:09>> Your body is like the root of a tree.
- 1:12If the root is strong,
- 1:14the stick becomes powerful. So, the chi
- 1:17sao ring teaches your arm to connect to
- 1:19your body.
- 1:20So, hold the chi sao ring in front of
- 1:21your chest.
- 1:23Keep your elbows down. Relax your
- 1:24shoulder.
- 1:26Do not use strength. Do not squeeze.
- 1:29Think like you're holding a balloon, not
- 1:31a rock. What What is this? It trains the
- 1:33structure, connect your arm to your
- 1:36body. Now gently press the ring inward,
- 1:39then release slowly. 1
